hi, this is a bit of a silly/embarrassing question, but how did you get into tennis/how would you suggest someone new to the sport get into it too? i’ve been watching some olympic tennis but i know there’s so much beyond the olympics when it comes to tennis, so i’m wondering what your thoughts are. find some athletes i like? research some history? i’m curious what you think! i really appreciate it lol

hello!! what a beautiful question anon :) not silly at all and i love to talk about tennis esp with ppl who are not yet fans! this is really really long lol so i’ll put it under a cut

personally i started watching tennis because of my mother, she’s been watching/playing for 30-40 years so it was always on the tv/my mom was playing matches throughout my life. though she tried to get me and my brothers into it as kids i didn’t start caring until absentmindedly watching the past couple of years, with it finally clicking for me in march of this year. sole reason for this was watching carlos alcaraz play and absolutely falling in love with the game.

so for you!! i would of course say the best thing to do is to.. just watch! olympics are a good start because it’s more or less the best possible players (since each country can only send their top players) although the olympics are an interesting case in tennis world because they secretly do not matter at all. but upcoming in the schedule for august/september is two masters (canada, cincinnati) and a slam (us open) so there will be lots to just take in.

beyond simply watching, i would say IF you want to understand the stakes involved, firstly familiarize yourself with:

a) how the game works lol the scoring system is very complicated! also what doubles are

b) the top 10 (or more) players in each league (wta and atp for women and men respectively), just to understand who everyone is since of course they are all contenders in each tournament

c) what each level of tournaments mean (ie, tournaments are ordered from least to most important in the following order: 250, 500, masters 1000, and slam). also, the different surfaces played on. you don’t have to memorize tournaments tho because there are hundreds

to the point of c, while you don’t have to understand the 12 month point system, i personally think it helps to give context to the tournament levels as well as player rankings (basically all u need to know is that you get a certain amount of points per round you make it to, which add up for a 12 month total that determine your ranking).

ultimately everything listed there will come to as you watch just from listening to the commentators (they can be annoying. but they are ultimately helpful).

for favourite players… i have my certified guys of course but ultimately you have to choose those for yourself from watching people play. however (and this helps for learning who is who also) i would also recommend the youtube videos that various organizations put out because those REALLY made me obsess over the sport. both atp tour and wta tennis upload silly little trivia games or challenges or whatever with players and you get to see what everyone is like off court. its fun! but don’t worry about memorizing everyones career history or playing styles or whatever, while it’s useful to know how people are each surface or what their serves are like, this is another thing that just sort of comes to you after a while. favourite players is a vibe based process

history. ah the sport has been around for so long… basically i would say learn who the big three(/four) are: roger federer (swiss. retired in 2022), rafael nadal (spanish. in the midst of retirement but won’t confirm anything), novak djokovic. (serbian. very much active). some people include andy murray (british. retired literally this week omfg) in this group also. these men won basically every single tournament from like 2000-2020 and are considered the greatest tennis players of all time. everyone in the sport grew up watching them and idolizes them. there is SO much lore and rivalry here, you don’t have to know all of it, just know the basic facts because they get brought up a lot and all current players get compared to them in some form.

otherwise: venus and serena. i feel like everyone in the world knows them lol but still. goats!

other history that is absolutely not necessary at all but you asked so here are other people that will get mentioned a lot: maria sharapova, steffi graf, billie jean king (wta). john mcenroe, pete sampras, andre agassi, stefan edberg (atp). but honestly don’t worry about these ppl lol

but basically i think you should just watch matches and see what players particularly grab you. enjoy yourself. everything else i said here is background information that is fun and personally enhances my enjoyment of the game but also means that i take things So seriously now. just see where each player takes you <3

I'm getting kinda worried that George might be feeling like every stream he does needs to be better than the last stream (for the main channel ofc) and the reason why he hasn't been streaming if because he has no idea what to stream? I mean, it's been so long since we've gotten a solo stream from him.

It's like how people comment on Karl always needing someone else on his stream for him to be able to stream and I just wonder if George is starting to go towards that path as well. I really hope that George knows that we would watch him play anything at this point really and he's just as entertaining by himself as he is with others. This is me desperate for a solo stream tbh, I like Dream Team, Sex Havers n Feral Boys dynamics but I feel like when he's on his own, he becomes a bit more open about himself?

Also, yeah I agree with you with the whole editing stuff as well but I also kinda understand George with the whole executive dysfunction. Streaming and editing are both kinda his jobs, it's hard to get another job going when you're stuck with this job that is very overwhelming for you to do that causes you to procrastinate on it and also hinders you from doing anything else as well because you need to finish that one first. Reminds me of when George said how his life qualify does down when he's in his editing arc, gosh so relatable.

I just hope he doesn't push himself too hard. I just want him to feel comfortable streaming whatever and whenever he wants, not everything has to be planned. Yeah, this is me in my missing George arc.

i mean yeah basically this, i don’t want to sound repetitive because i think i’ve said this a lot but i do also feel like george is falling into the trap of feeling like he has to put out big! and planned! streams on the gnf twitch channel when before it used to be for whatever (looks like it’s reflecting in his main channel on yt too, like how “go big or go home” the challenges have been feeling recently)

like i guess that’s what his alt is for and i understand the need to have a distinction between “high-effort” content and more lowkey stuff but even that seems like it’s become another burden for george when it comes to: finding stuff to do/play and feeling like he “has to” keep up on donations and gifted subs etc etc. it just makes me think about how at the end of the day some of the most beloved streams among the fandom have been the more lowkey ones or the ones which devolved into chaos naturally and although his planned streams are well-received view-wise and stuff (and his effort is always appreciated, words can’t explain how much i love the cooking stream for example) it isn’t worth seeing our cc missing in action for so long <\3 ppl have pointed out streamers like tubbo, ranboo and tommy have struck a good balance when it comes to delivering a steady stream of both high + “low” effort content both equally enjoyed by their viewers

when people say they’d watch george do anything they /mean it/ not in the “oh he can be lazy and put out any old rubbish and we’d eat it up” but in the fact that seeing him enjoy himself alone or with friends is more than enough, we’re drawn to his personality and whatever he puts out is going to be appealing most of the time! some people even resonate more with chilled out content that’s not so “high-effort” we are here for george not the games he plays or his concepted ideas, it’s him doing whatever, his reactions, his persona, him

i feel like george sometimes “falling” on needing other presences in his streams has more to do with the fact that he’s clearly the most comfortable/energetic among friends and bouncing off them is easier, he’s expressed before that he can’t talk for very long himself unprompted so having other people there must be comfortable but yes, solo streams are very treasured in that he seems more willing to open up when he’s alone and tell rambled stories and it’s just… nice i wish he’d see the appeal in occasional solo streams like when he used to speedrun! because he is actually good at carrying them and creating a good vibe, there’s a reason why so many ppl seem to be asking for one right now

and the editing stuff just makes me sad he should know that he doesn’t have to live like this i know he stubbornly wants to be the one to edit his videos (or dream because he trusts he’ll do them justice) but he should realise that there are ways he can better his quality of life in this aspect even looking into finding ppl willing to edit in a similar fashion and offering the resources to (hence my idea of accepting ppls work and looking through for contenders) or finding more effective ways to edit instead of dedicating all his time to one vid and clearly stressing out about it especially because technically he also works on his own terms? there’s nothing wrong with having set deadlines for yourself and feeling like an upload is due and i’m glad he’s not lazy in that aspect god bless or delivering content generally

but being purely unable to concentrate on anything else because you’re focussed on a single video for two weeks sounds awful

he has his sun (your ego / conscious mind) conducting mars (your passion / war / assertion) so he’s naturally vvv competitive which ppl tend to perceive as a positive trait as opposed to negative bc it feels sincere, enthusiastic, and unwavering. these ppl r usually rly into sports bc of their competitiveness and they have a lot of physical energy. but despite being as competitive as they are they despite unfair play and broken rules (leo suns r traditional like i said) - they’re able to control themselves n be fair and so they expect the same from everyone else

he also has his sun trine saturn (maturity / discipline) so it’s just natural for him to accept roles with a lot of responsibility and leadership. they have a lot of patience and self-discipline so usually take a ‘slow but sure’ approach to things. again reinforces a strong loyalty to those they care ab. they’re naturally trustworthy too and expect to be shown a lot of respect as they give themselves (and others) so they don't have time for ppl who don't show respect for others

(1)so, i've been re-reading AOY for like, the third time, and i just wanted to tell u how much i appreciate the way you write all of the characters. i feel like you approach them with empathy, or at least an understanding of some sort. like, you don't ignore their flaws or their virtues, you don't get viciously against or in favor of any of them. and even if your fic is focused on Hyde&Jackie and their relationship, u give depth to almost all of the characters,

(2) none of them could be replaced with a cardboard cutout, u know? and the dynamics in the group are fantastic, everyone matters to everyone in one way or another (although there are different degrees of closeness, of course). a long time ago i had started reading the eric/buddy fic u mentioned, and while it was well written and intriguing, i couldn't get past the first few chapters bc i can't handle fics that are too biased (not to say that it was bad, it just wasn't my thing).

(3) plenty of other t7s fanfics are biased too (to a certain extent), which is fine and completely normal, but idk, i just love that u seem to care for everyone at least a little bit. it's one of the things that makes AOY so compelling to me. i'm looking forward to what's next, especially bc i wanna know how Hyde&Jackie are gonna deal with their new-but-not-really relationship,

First, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY WORK I’m in awe that you re-read it that much (I’m always in awe when ppl re-read my work)

I’m blushing so hard from your compliments. When I first came up with the idea to do this time travel fic I did mostly focus on Jackie and Hyde but then I started to think about the other characters and how Jackie isn’t entirely selfish and she is a compassionate person, so why shouldn’t relationships with other characters be mentioned or highlighted in some way?

(gonna try and put everything under the cut so I don’t clog up the dash but if it doesn’t work I’m so sorry)

Besides the fact that the show was about the group of friends, a huge bit of inspiration for giving more attention to the other characters especially having them do activities with each other especially outside of the basement actually came from my own years as a teen and into my early 20s. The zenmasters fandom is still really new to me unlike the sasusaku fandom so many don’t know about how I got really sick and lost the closeness I used to have with my irl friends due to my illnesses and inability to do all of the things I used to do with them. This is my way of capturing my love for my old friends in a way.

My home used to have the same feeling as Eric’s basement (every time my family moved my house was still THE house) and I was one of like three friends that were licensed (even up to our mid 20s) and I was the only one everyone fully trusted to drive. So in a way I was the Eric of our friend group especially when you add in my mom’s train of thought when it came to my friends and I which was that she would rather us eat everything in her fridge in kitchen and have her go broke feeding us than for us to be out doing stupid shit. It didn’t stop us from doing stupid shit but that was our life lol

we used to trespass into places (abandoned houses, abandoned asylum, parks and fields and lakes when they were closed at night), I had an ex that stole a golf cart from a security guard cuz it was there and the keys were in the ignition and we all fucking scattered when the guy showed up, we would fuck around at my house or another friend’s house and drinking and weed (and acid and shrooms) were usually involved (I was the mom friend so I always took care of everyone and was designated driver), we went to concerts even if we had to drive to other states and also went to Warped Tour almost every year until I got sick af. We would find the perfect places to watch meteor showers and hold bonfires at a friend’s house (although we did start a bonfire in a soccer field we had no business being in at that time at night).

And we would drive around for hours with no destination. We typically told our parents we were going bowling when we did and we never fucking went bowling lol

This is all the energy of my personal experience being a teenager with access to a minivan and then my own car that really made me think about the T7S gang and even though I want to focus so much on Jackie and Hyde and their romance, I feel like I would be doing such a disservice to the friendships in the show by not having them be actual friends in the story.

I’ve had a friend abandoned by her mother and she moved in with a bf and we all helped her (I had to teach her how to cook rice in a pot cuz her bf didn’t have a rice cooker and my mom made sure she knew she could come live with us if she got fed up with her bf’s family) and my family has opened their home to my friend and her family when they were in between homes. I’ve had to help friends through bad trips. We’ve all had our hearts broken. Some of us have dealt with being queer and learning about our own identities and the struggle with finding out who we really are. I found out my father wasn’t my biological father when I was 20 lol

And we all had each other during those moments. Just like how the T7S gang had each other. So I felt personally invested in making sure to elaborate on moments where they were hanging out and being friends to each other.

And I know. God that fic. Whenever I re-ead that fic I actually skip a lot and my last re-read of it made me feel like I couldn’t read it again just because it is way too biased. Like it completely absolves a certain character of everything and I kind of lost it when Brooke had to apologize to him in the fic....I feel like, you should definitely be able to criticize things that you love and that it doesn’t take away any love to recognize the bad with the good.

Like right now I have to show some bias against Kelso for the part of the story but I keep editing it so it’s not complete hate against him. It’s just for this part of the story he is well just being him which is unfortunately ugly and it has to be ugly until he can grow. But I feel guilty about it lol don’t hate me too much for what he has to go through first

Jackie and Donna. I have such a weak spot for them in my fic mostly because for the longest time I didn’t really have many girl friends. I was always too much of a boy, too weird, too ugly for the other girls so I didn’t have someone I was truly super close with until I was in like 8th grade. And there’s this sisterhood with Jackie and Donna that I wish they did better. Like ignoring s8 completely, there just could have been more. But the sweet moments we got were amazing. I just feel like the writers knew fuck all how to make the girls proper friends without feeling like they were losing the characters and how they were.

i will probably be introducing that ship in chapter 8. I’m just struggling wrapping up the last bit of chapter 7 aka the January 31st part. I’ve just been staring at page 56 and wondering if I’m doing it right.

The course called Now is basically self-help. It’s lead by a very famous psychiatrist Roberto Shinyashiki and Arthur and lots of guests, like Fernando Scherer; they coach you to get to your top performance, what’s stopping you from getting what you want, show successful cases, do a lot of regression exercises and other things to organize your mind. It’s orchestrated to be empowering as you’re surrounded by 3 thousand people. It can be used in your personal/social life, finance or business/career

I’m sure gonna check the books you recommended. I will recommend “Decifre e Influencie Pessoas” – Paulo Vieira and “O Corpo Fala” – Pierre Weil, if there’s a translation in English to have a better understanding of human beings. I do really like Jung’s Man and His Symbols and “About Behaviorism” by Skinner. If you haven’t checked them yet and are interested, do it. It’s a pretty heavy reading, but so enlightening. The human mind fascinates me!

Everything is so nice right now! I feel so happy. Hope you’re felling the same way too! This weekend I met so many friends and even went to Beco do Batman. Thank you for taking the time to let me interview you. Let's start off with an easy question, who do you support for the Altador Cup and why?

Oh well, I like supporting everyone! Yooyu ball is such a fun game and I just want everyone to try to try their best! I guess if I had to choose a favorite I would choose the Roo Island team because they're always so cheerful when they interact with fans!

What do you do for a career?

I used to work for the Petpet Protection League, but it made me pretty blue. I worked as a white hat hacker and would help field teams infiltrate areas where petpets were being kept in unsafe conditions. It was heartbreaking to see how some of these petpets were being mistreated on security cams and even worse when they came into HQ for healing. And that's about all I can say about the type of work I did for the PPL.

Moving on to the current day, now I work as a delivery driver for the Neopian Times. I know most people think weewoos deliver the Neopian Times but most weewoos can't travel very far. So whenever a delivery route is too far out of the way for a weewoo, I deliver it instead. I also tend to take other delivery requests as the Neopian Times has a pretty extensive delivery system that my clients like taking advantage of. Besides, I love having the opportunity to go new places and meet new people now that I'm no longer stuck behind a computer screen.

And what do you like to do when you're not working?

Oh well I feel hardly like I'm working when I'm traveling with the wind in my floof. But I do enjoy going to rock concerts! My favorite band is the Twisted Roses!

Haha, no I wasn't, and there's a funny story behind this too! So you know how I was mentioning traveling to out of the way locations for deliveries? Well a lot of my clients really appreciate that I'm willing to go the extra mile (pun intended) for them and I'll get all sorts of things as tips. Sometimes I'll be tipped with neopoints, but mostly its homemade crafts, books, thank you cards, flowers, and you know that sort of thing. Then occasionally I'll also be invited to stay for dinner if I end up making a late delivery, and I'll never say no to free food! Unless it's the first delivery and I don't know the client that well, but usually I'm only invited to dinner if I'm already friends with the person, so its not really something I have to worry about, you know?

Anyways, back on track, I was making a delivery to the Haunted Woods, since not all the weewoos are confident enough to travel there, and I was needed to pick up the slack. This particular house, I had been to before to deliver newspapers, but this time I was delivering some ingredients from Neopia Central. Which I can understand, not everyone enjoys the gross food that is commonly available in the woods or has the time to pick it up. It was towards the end of the day when I arrived and the door opened by itself after I knocked, which isn't unusual when dealing with magic folk.

I heard a voice from inside saying that she was unable to answer the door, and that I should follow the taigar to the kitchen, which I did. When I arrived in the kitchen, I saw there were all sorts of cakes, and cookies, and other sweet treats, and I wasn't sure where to put anything! I called back if she wanted me to leave things on the counter or start putting the ingredients away and the kougra replied, "If you could start putting things in the fridge, that would be great!" So I started putting everything away.

After some time the kougra called back that she was almost ready to pay me, but in the mean time I could help myself to anything in the kitchen. And again, who can say no to free food! Although I didn't want to take anything that looked like it was for a special occasion, so I ate one of the candy canes that looked like it was misshapen. I mean, who would miss a reject candy cane right?

Turns out, that misshapen candy cane was actually a candy paint brush as I was now coated in sugar! The kougra was very apologetic as she had forgotten she had made it earlier that day and left it out. She was curious about its affects, and once assured I was fine, she offered to make an antidote for me. I didn't mind as my outside now matched my inside!

How did you meet your petpet?

Ah, that is a less fun story. Well, I met Riu through my work at the PPL. They are one of the reasons I decided to pursue other interests actually. You see, field teams return with petpets that need a good home all the time, but we ourselves aren't always the best suited match to take care of them. After a field team returned from Shenkuu with some petpets that had been caught in a cave in, most were adopted out once they were cleared for injuries. But Riu was very picky when it came to treatment and interacting with others. Kazerius are also a high maintenance petpet since they are remarkably clever and need to have toys that satisfy their cleverness.

And Riu here, decided to be clever by constantly breaking out of its enclosure. So those of us at HQ decided to start passing Riu around and so each day for them would be little different and so someone could keep an eye on them. When it was my turn, I was kind of stressed between trying to keep my eye on them and the computer. I started to fidget with one hand, and Riu started to play with it. I think they knew I was feeling stressed and did this to try to pull myself out of my own head. It worked as Riu helped calm me down and from there we just kind of clicked. But I also knew an office wasn't a good environment for a petpet that was used to the outdoors, so I ended up leaving the PPL with and adopted kazeriu.

Moving on, how did you meet user/your sponsor?

Well it kind of relates to how I became candy coated. The kougra who lived in the Haunted Woods offered me a place to stay until an antidote was found. Truly I was fine with the change, but she looked so guilty that I just couldn't say no. She talked to her sponsor and after a quick transfer of paperwork I moved in!

Interesting! And what would you wear to a fancy event?

Oh I would wear something not too different from my usual get up. Same hat, but probably a little nicer shirt like like with buttons or a bow. Maybe I would wear a cloak too? I've heard those look fancy. Uh, I think I might look something like this?

How would Batman cover up Robin’s and Jason Todd’s death, making sure no one connected the two as the same person.

This is a question that’s bothered me for a long time and I think I’ve figured out how. Bruce could make a fake news headline stating that, “Robin, the Boy Wonder Dies Trying to Save Bruce Wayne’s Ward, Jason Todd”.

It could be written more gracefully but you get the idea. Bruce owns the daily planet so he can basically publish whatever he wants.

Right after Jason’s death, the Joker gains diplomatic immunity and Superman is sent to prevent Batman from beating him to an inch within his life. I want this incident to put a huge rift between Bruce and Clark, metaphorically putting an end to “The World’s Finest”. Once they considered themselves the best of friends and now Bruce coldly refers to their relationship as long-term acquaintances. No more jokes or teasing between the two. Batman tries to finish the mission as quickly as possible and the moment he’s done, he disappears. If there are other people, he divides the group so that he’s with someone else and Clark is in the opposite direction. Bruce also dodges Clark all the time to the point where Clark gives up after trying so hard for so long. As opposed to in the past where he usually lingers a little to make small talk before slipping away.

I also imagine that Lois has just given birth to Jon. I’m not a mother but I’m sure that the birth of a first child is magical. And because of that she has become somewhat soft hearted. Which gives Bruce the leverage he needs to convince/persuade/emotionally blackmails Lois into writing the article about Jason and Robin even though she is a strict believer in finding and only reporting the Truth.

Bruce kind of convinces her by guilting her of what she would feel like if she lost her son and by pressuring her of possible consequences of ppl linking Robin to Jason and him to Batman. He may also tell her/make up a story about how the Justice League is in full swing only because “he, Bruce” the “human” is there to control these God-like creatures. And because he has no powers and can still take down the Justice League, that is why the American Government lets the League function. He can also say that he bribes many ppl on the inside of the government to look the other way regarding superman as he has singlehandedly produced enough damage as Hurricane Katrina because of his powers. (Okay that may or may not be an exaggeration but you get my point)

The reason Bruce asks her to write the article is because Lois is a “famous” news reporter and is thus “trustworthy” so if Bruce can get the story published under her name, no one would really ask any questions.

Batman also has a camera recording everything that goes on when he puts on the cowl so he could choose many images to forge the cover picture for the article. Since he made it a point to master multiple technologies to hack into systems and to keep his identity safe, I imagine he also mastered image manipulation and that he begrudgingly uses them to forge an appropriate image for the “occasion”.

This incident not only distances Bruce from Clark, but also the rest of his friends from the League which is why none of them are there for Jason’s funeral, as in he didn’t or Alfred didn’t invite them.

The funeral is obviously private because Bruce doesn’t want to deal with the media right now. The attendees are Bruce, Alfred, Barbara(Oracle), Commissioner Gordon, Lucius Fox (and his son Luke maybe?), Leslie Thompson, maybe Selina, AND DICK GRAYSON DAMNIT.

WHY THE HELL WAS HE NOT INFORMED OF JASON’S DEATH?!?! ALFRED SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED HIM FIRST LIKE YOUR YOUNGER SON JUST DIED SO YOU SHOULD HAVE THE DECENCY TO TELL YOUR OLDER SON. THIS NEVER FAILS TO ANNOY ME. IM JUST GONNA WRITE THIS OFF AS A MISTAKE ON DC’S PART BECAUSE THEY LIKE MAN PAIN AND DECIDED THEY WERE GONNA PUT MORE ANGST FOR BOTH BRUCE AND DICK.

The members of the Justice League, and some from the Young Justice team come visit a few at a time to check up on Bruce but Bruce is locked up in his or Jason’s room so Alfred attends to them.

I feel like Conner from the Young Justice TV show (the introvert softy but with rage issues) would have been able to relate to Jason the most because they were both kind of “replacements for the originals”. Conner being a replacement for Clark and Jason being a replacement for Dick. Although the latter isn’t completely true, many of Dick’s team mates (Teen Titans I mean here. The Young Justice team dealt with clones of Superman and Roy Harper and Artemis “replacing” Roy as the archer in the team- this team didn’t mind too much so Jason got along with them better) probably felt that way and didn’t warm up to Jason too quickly and kind of gave him dirty looks when Dick wasn’t looking. By the time they realized their mistake, Jason would have passed away. Conner losing someone for the first time and trying to act fine but then breaks down in his room privately because he doesn’t want to be seen.

I feel like Jason and Conner would be good friends. Like, Conner is the quiet type and Jason I think is considered an extrovert. And because Jason is Nightwing’s “little bro” Conner decides to humor him and listen to what he’s saying. Jason had high grades in school(his grade average was like a 94%. Even his teacher thought he needed to chill. Lol when you’re so op everybody is jealous) and I think he was super into reading. So because he would read a lot, he was exposed to different lines of thinking and he shared those open minded ideas with Conner because Conner actively listened but also because Conner was too afraid of offending Jason and in turn rubbing Dick the wrong way, so he always listened, nodding and answering when necessary. Pretty soon he found himself talking and debating with Jason and reading the things that Jason recommended.

This is what got Conner to unfortunately break up with Megan (m'gann??). Because Conner was exposed to these ideas that Lobotomy was wrong and that all people have certain rights, even though they may be trash, inequality, violence, rape??(Jason ran into a few incidents with rape victims during his run as Robin so maybe he vented to Conner instead of Bruce because of Bruce’s no kill rule and Bruce can sometimes be a brick wall), laws, psychology, philosophy, etc.

This is what got Conner thinking about what Megan was doing and confronting her about it. Then being strong enough to break up with the person he was the most closest to and had been with him his whole life because he knew what she was doing was wrong and was strong enough not to ignore it.

I feel like this says a lot about him and it would develop his character. Because at the very beginning, he was this guy with rage issues who didn’t like to listen to people. Then, once his rage issues slowly decreasing, he obediently follows orders or suggestions(or politely declines??? Season 2 his birthday he declines going out with that other chick??? I don’t remember am I just making things up??) and becomes much more easy to approach and nicer. Lessening his ego to ask Canary to teach him how to fight properly and later happily sparring with Aqualad in season 1.

Near the middle of season 2 he has “the talk” with Megan (but his break up was during the time skip…he still took suggestion and orders seriously tho like how he should read previous reports of missions to increase his general and battle field knowledge) which shows that despite being obedient to his what the league tells him and to his peers who have lived much longer than him and generally know what’s best, he can still think on his own and isn’t a “yes-man” to everybody.

I also feel like Megan and Conner getting back together destroyed the whole character development in a sense because when people recall their relationship, they will probably glaze over why they broke up in the first place. Usually saying things like, “oh yeah and they broke up for two seconds and got back together again”.

Even though at the beginning I was all for the two to be together, I think it was good that they showed an actual break up because that happens in life. You can both love each other with all your hearts and still not be “meant to be”.

I didn’t like how quickly Megan got with Lagoon boy but honestly I’m glad because then I wouldn’t have to barf through them flirty and finally getting together so I kind of appreciate it in a sense. Doesn’t mean I like it, but still.

And although I don’t like Lagoon boy either, I was hoping that he would stay together with Megan. I didn’t like that she broke it off. Even though Conner may have been right about the “rebound guy” part, that didn’t mean she had to break it off. It would have been nice to see her have a healthy relationship after a break up. That’s something that’s kind of rare in most tv dramas. Or maybe I just wanted to have a sure fire way to make sure Conner and Megan didn’t get back together again.

I would also like to commend Megan for acknowledging her mistakes and apologizing to Conner for it. (Although it took jacking up and fixing Aqualad’s brains to do it. )

Well this post went in a completely different direction then what I expected. So this is what a 180 looks like. I have no regrets. These are my headcannons. This is my life and these are my choices. Happy December 12 ”Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe”

I would like to share with you this story: Our Lady of Guadalupe came to help her children and brought her divine Son to Mexico in a time when there was no hope, it was 10 years after the fall of tenochtitlan and Spanish Conquest, indigenous people were treated as slaves in their own country,like less than a leaf and  the mestizos(children of the mix of spanish/indigenous ppl) were considered orphans, and then, on december this event  happened, to an eldery indigenous man called Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin( He who speaks like an eagle).While there are many people, even in Mexico, who are doubtful about the veracity of this event or are esceptics, One thing is certain, there´s no way to understand Mexican history and  modern Mexico without Our Lady of Guadalupe and Juan Diego.

FIRST APPARITION

I strongly desire that a temple be erected here in order to show and give all my love, compassion, help and defense, for I am your pious mother; to you, to all of you together the dwellers of this earth and the other lovers of mine that invoke me and in me trust hear their cries there, and remedy all their miseries, sorrows and pains. Go to the palace of the Bishop of Mexico and tell him how I send you to manifest what I really want, that here on the plain I build a temple: you will tell him promptly how much you have seen and admired and what you have heard. I'm sure I'll appreciate it and I'll pay for it, because I'll make you happy and you'll deserve a lot, reward for the work and fatigue with which you are going to procure what I entrust to you. SECOND APPEARANCE

On the same day he turned; He came straight to the top of the hill, the Lady was waiting for him, right  where he saw her the first time. When he saw her he prostrated himself in front of her and said: "Lady, the smallest of my daughters, my Child, I went to where you sent me to fulfill your errand; although with difficulty I went to where is the prelate's seat; I saw him and I expressed your message, just as you warned me; he received me benignly and he listened to me attentively; but as soon as he answered me, it seemed that he did not have it By the way, he told me: "You will come again, I will hear you more slowly: I will see very early on desire and will with which you have come ... Juan Diego replied: "My Lady and my child, I do not cause you affliction; I will go very willingly to fulfill your errand; I will not stop doing it, I do not find the path painful.

THIRD APPEARANCE

Unfortunately, Juan was not able to return to the hill the next day. His uncle had become mortally ill and Juan stayed with him to care for him. After two days, with his uncle near death, Juan left his side to find a priest. Juan had to pass Tepayac Hill to get to the priest. As he was passing, he found Mary waiting for him.

She spoke:What´s happening, youngest and dearest of all my sons? Where are you going? where are you headed for?

Juan Diego postrated himself before her, he greeted her, he said to her:

"My little maiden, my smallest daughter, my Girl, I hope you are happy, how are you this morning? Althought it grieves me, I will cause your heart anguish: I must tell you that one of your servants, my uncle, is very ill and now I shall go to your little house in Mexico to call one of your priests, the beloved ones of our lord, so that he will hear his confession and prepare him. Because we really were born for that, to wait for the painful effort of our death. But I will return here after that to go carry your word, Lady, my little young one. I beg you to forgive me, be patient with me a little longer, because I am not deceiving you"

As soon as she heard the explanations of Juan Diego, The merciful perfect Virgin replied:

" LISTEN, PUT IT INTO YOUR HEART MY YOUNGEST AND DEAREST SON, THAT THE THING THAT FRIGHTENED YOU, THE THING THAT AFFLICTED YOU IS NOTHING: DO NOT LET IT DISTURB YOU: DO NOT FEAR THIS SICKNESS NOR ANY OTHER SICKNESS, NOR ANY SHARP OR HURTFUL THING. LET NOTHING ELSE WORRY YOU, DISTURB YOU; DO NOT LET YOUR UNCLE´S ILLNESS PRESSURE YOU WITH GRIEF, BECAUSE HE WILL NOT DIE OF IT NOW, YOU MAY BE CERTAIN THAT HE´S ALREADY WELL"

(And at that very moment his uncle became well, as they later found out)

When Juan Diego heard the lovely word, the lovely breath of the Queen of Heaven, he was greatly conforted by it, his heart became peaceful and he begged her to send him to see the Bishop, to take him something of a sign, for proof so that he would believe.

She said: Go to the top of the hill and cut the flowers that are growing there. Bring them then to me." While it was freezing on the hillside, Juan obeyed Mary's instructions and went to the top of the hill where he found a full bloom of Castilian roses. Removing his tilma, a poncho-like cape made of cactus fiber, he cut the roses and carried them back to Mary. 

She rearranged the roses and told him: " "My little son, this is the sign I am sending to the Bishop. Tell him that with this sign I request his greatest efforts to complete the church I desire in this place. Show these flowers to no one else but the Bishop. You are my trusted ambassador. This time the Bishop will believe all you tell him."

At the palace, Juan once again came before the bishop and several of his advisors. He told the bishop his story and opened the tilma letting the flowers fall out. But it wasn't the beautiful roses that caused the bishop and his advisors to fall to their knees; for there, on the tilma, was a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary precisely as Juan had described her. It was December 12 of 1531. 

The next day, after showing the Tilma at the Cathedral, Juan took the bishop to the spot where he first met Mary. He then returned to his village where he met his uncle who was completely cured. His uncle told him he had met a young woman, surrounded by a soft light, who told him that she had just sent his nephew to Tenochtitlan with a picture of herself. She told his uncle:

"Call me and call my image Santa Maria de Guadalupe".

It's believed that the word Guadalupe was actually a Spanish mis-translation of the local Aztec dialect. The word that Mary probably used was Coatlallope which means "one who treads on snakes"! Within six years of this apparition, six million Aztecs had converted to Catholicism. 

Juan Diego was beatified on May 6, 1990, and canonized on July 31, 2002, by Pope John Paul II. Numerous miracles have been attributed to him, and he remains one of the most popular and important saints in Mexico.

The tilma shows Mary as the God-bearer - she is pregnant with her Divine Son. Since the time the tilma was first impressed with a picture of the Mother of God, it has been subject to a variety of environmental hazards including smoke from fires and candles, water from floods and torrential downpours. 

Pope Pius XII accorded her the title "Queen of Mexico and Empress of the Americas" in 1945, and "Patroness of theAmericas" in 1946.

In 1921, a bomb which was planted by anti-clerical forces on an altar under it. There was also a cast-iron cross next to the tilma and when the bomb exploded, the cross was twisted out of shape, the marble altar rail was heavily damaged and the tilma was...untouched! Indeed, no one was injured in the Church despite the damage that occurred to a large part of the altar structure.

In 1977, the tilma was examined using infrared photography and digital enhancement techniques. Unlike any painting, the tilma shows no sketching or any sign of outline drawn to permit an artist to produce a painting. Further, the very method used to create the image is still unknown. The image is inexplicable in its longevity and method of production. It can be seen today in a large cathedral built to house up to ten thousand worshipers. It is, by far, the most popular religious pilgrimage site in the Western Hemisphere.
