A little side note to the tags I seem to be "clogging up"...

So I got an ask lately accusing me of "clogging up" fandom tags when I post original fiction. Now, I see the "problem". You expect to see your blorbo. Sure thing, I get it.

BUT

You never had the urge to broaden your horizon a little? To look beyond? If not, fine, you keep scrolling until you find the perfect post for your fandom needs, that's totally fine. (Just, maybe, don't let me know? Just block me or scroll past my post and be done with it? Would be so much less trouble!)

If you do not have a problem with one (1) weekly (!) post of mine on your favorite tag, then let me explain WHY I'm poking my head into all these different fandoms.

As I said, I write ORIGINAL FICTION, yes, but all my stories are inspired by the same people these tags are for! Bits and pieces of them, looks, voices, characteristics, dynamics, story elements, etc. I am a consumer too! I may not be an active part of your favorite fandom, but I'm a lurker, I see things as well, and I consume, and I ingest it all, and I chose to form all those different aspects into new characters.

For example: The Daddy character in my Dd/lg story LOST & FOUND sometimes looks like Pedro Pascal to me, sometimes like Jensen Ackles, (or any other tall, bearded man really), sounds like Simon Riley (without the accent) or Geralt of Rivia, is soft like Joel Miller or Arthur Morgan can be to their loved ones, has a dominant presence like Wolverine, or an intimidating one like Billy Butcher. Or any other male character (or person) I might have stumbled upon and deemed somewhat attractive and/or interesting.

(Same with female characters, of course, for example I do have a strong vibe towards Geralt and Yennefer when I imagine Mommy and Daddy, or maybe Joel and Tess, or other couples I've seen somewhere.)

I create with other things in mind, as writers do. We can't produce things out of an empty void.

Now, I also always keep my original characters vague, barely describe their physical appearances BECAUSE I want to speak to as many people as possible, because I want you, dear reader, to fill in the blanks. Sir from my other original fiction INFATUATED is another character I kept intentionally vague, he doesn't even have a name (spoiler: Daddy may or may not get one, just because it fits the story)!

You may think I'm trying too hard to appease everyone, but what if I am? I just want my stories to be read, and Tumblr is a fandom place, and original fiction has a really hard time finding potential readers. I also found it doesn't really matter who your characters are, how they look like, it's their actions that bring the story forward, and so I'm completely fine with the way I portray characters. And I really hope you are too.

Like I mentioned, I get the need to read stories about your favorite blorbo and their specific mannerisms and looks and whatnot, I was part of a fandom too once, I know the obsession, the hyperfixation, but I still ask you to be gentle with writers trying something different.

Don't go around bashing them because they don't write the way you want them to. Ignore, block, scroll away, it's so easy! Don't get riled up because your Reader-insert story doesn't portray how YOU are perfectly (because how could it? It's tailored to reach a wide audience and hmm, guess what, people are different, and sometimes, the Reader character needs to have some defining features or a backstory to bring the plot along), just immerse yourself in the story, have an open mind, let new things in.

I write for fun, I love writing, and I love sharing my stuff. I still get very anxious when I share it though, because there are so many people here, and when there are a lot of people, there will always be one or two who yell the loudest, and while I also get positive feedback, the negative one will always weigh more, unfortunately...

So what I am ranting/pleading/yapping on about is this: I apologize for "clogging up" your fandom tags with my weekly posts of original fiction. Please forgive me, but I will not stop. I spent so much time and energy writing these stories, and while I do write for myself, as they say, I still want what I created to be read and seen by others.

And thus far, it did work, people came and read and liked what I posted, and I am so grateful! (Thank you for giving me a chance, even if it's not what you were looking for!)

I just hope I can continue spreading my works with the means I used before without pulling the wrath of more people... I do not mean any harm. I keep my posts short (above the cut anyway). If the moodboard header isn't for you, I am sorry, but I want my posts to be somewhat aesthetically pleasing, and I will not use any of your blorbos, to keep it vague. Those pictures are just to set the tone, nothing more, no representation of the characters portrayed!

All I ask for is either your understanding or your ignorance (as in: ignore me pls). If you agree with me, thank you, if not, that's valid, but just know that every negative comment can cause any writer to stop creating something others enjoyed. We rise and fall with whatever feedback we're getting.

Please keep the negativity off my blog. This is for smut enjoyers, and smut is usually between two (or more) characters, and on this blog here, they can be anyone you choose - if you open your mind and allow yourself to fill in the blanks. If you need someone to tell you every single detail of your favorite blorbo to enjoy whatever is written, then you may just be at the wrong place. Kindly move on, and I hope you will find what you are looking for!

You know, with the fact that my Little Nightmares fixation has made a return alongside my Digital Circus fixation, you would think this would be a prime opportunity for me to revive the Digital Nightmares AU

But since we're on the topic now, I will admit the reasoning as to why I let the hype die down for it.

It's because I don't really like the fact that it immediately became popular with just... two posts. I've always had this weird peeve where if somehow, a media I post gets too well-known, I stop working on it. And it's not because of the fact that my interest for it died down; no no.

It's because I get scared of the fame it would bring. I've always been scared of fame, after having my share of it on twitter.

It's why I've stuck around with the Harlequin AU, because Harlequin AU is obscure, but a certain amount of people like it enough to keep my interest for it fueled. Harlequin AU is the perfect blend of my people-pleasing, world-building going ham but never truly going mainstream and I can't be more happy with it's state.

Perhaps now I could jumpstart the Digital Nightmares AU again since this really is the perfect opportune for that, but don't be too surprised if it goes away for the second time when it was just starting to ramp up in popularity because by now I've explained the reason why.

Confusion Part Who Knows

Ok, so I kept getting the ads for Sparkle (from HSR) and honestly, I'm listening to "Monodrama" (the tnbee one) right now, I've been wanting to play HSR or Honkai 3rd. There's just something I'm a little confused on.

What the hell happened with Sparkle's backstory? I looked it up, read through her character stories, nah that didn't help at all, found the Reddit page, shit just got more confusing, what happened with her? Here's the series of events as I understand it:

Orphan girl watches performance, performance is weird

Goes backstage, deal is made with circus, she's the new performer

Mask shit! (Please explain there's like 3 Sparkles and I don't know if they're different people or what the hell happened)

Ok so from what I understand, the mask first hides her emotions, then mirrors them, then does some weird fuckery. She slowly goes insane. She's being controlled by the mask? She's a puppet? The mask is red and then it's white and apparently according to people and sources the white mask is the real Sparkle and the red mask is the Mask Sparkle but at this point I'm just so confused.

And then she does her whole "and then I realised that the world is a stage and then I quit the circus and performed for the world" shit. Help. Please. Someone. I'm so confused and so dumb, I don't understand.

Holy fuck the way AFO’s backstory is dividing people bc of “him being inherently selfish from birth”ers and “it was society that made him this way”ers like holy shit you guys you’re never gonna fucking believe this but BOTH these concepts can co-exist. There’s a common belief that all human beings are inherently selfish creatures, but we still all have the capacity for good DESPITE THAT. Can I talk about something kinda off the wall for me?

Like I know I mostly talk about Seven Deadly Sins these days, I'm all about analyzing those Fairies. And every so often there's some Kingdom Hearts sprinkled in.

But another thing that I've always really liked is Code Lyoko.

And there's one thing about that show that just really pisses me off. And this is another reason it's a deviation from my usual sort of posts, I almost always talk in universe. I talk about characters and canon and rarely ever meta things like the creators and voice actors as people. This is not an in universe problem.

See, I'm really sensitive to voices. I can always catch when one character sounds like another from something else and I kinda pride myself on picking that up. That reason that's troublesome with Code Lyoko is because of two of the main cast share a VA.

The character Jeremy Belpois is voiced by Sharon Mann. And in the first season she does a sort of stereotypical voice for him, it's nerdy, he sounds a little congested, that sort of thing. And it's good. I think it's good, I like that voice for him, it suits him. But she changed it later. She wanted to shift away from the stereotype so she dropped the congested sound and his voice comes out a little higher pitched.

Why is this a big problem? It's not just cuz I liked the first one better. There's a real reason and that reason is

Aelita.

See Sharon Mann also voices Aelita, and when she changed Jeremy's voice it made the two sound way too similar. Which is very annoying because the two are romantic interests and frequently speak to each other. Sometimes half the freaking episode is them talking to each other! They need to sound different!

Yeah, I didn't like the "wholesomeness" of the 3.07 episode of Ted Lasso.

Which is ironic because this is the entire reason why I started watching this show. But it gets unexpectedly real on some occasions, and I did like that, at least so far. But this time I'm unconvinced, this is way too close to home and I know enough now to say this.

Hate crimes cannot and should not be 'forgiven', when they happen it's not a 'big whoop'. Injustice, if goes unpunished, only leads to more injustice. Bigots and fascists don't care about your forgiveness, they'll trash your place again, beat you up and whatnot, depending on the country's laws and cops willingness to investigate. People who say 'fight them with kindness' often don't realise the damage, the weight of such actions and it bothers me. Sure, it's just a TV show, but they don't live in a parallel magic reality.

I don't know if they fix this later, I haven't seen more episodes, but this one ending up on an unrealistically light note when it should've gone in a more realistic direction

liking paranormal shit is so frustrating . because while i still ( believe ) i have my head on my shoulders the community at large is like

mistakes a lense flare for a ghost orb

mistakes obvious mental illness for mediumship

gets memory fade-outs and instead of checking for carbon monoxide poisoning assumes it's a ghost

and or comes to the conclusion a ghost does it instead of the much more horrible possibility that a human did it ( and of course, doesn't put any cameras to catch anything in action )

mistakes an animal suffering for a cryptid

mistakes what is most likely a far off commercial/military craft/balloon/bird/drone for a UFO

No hate, and I don't think this was meant as negative thing either, but if you comment on a fic and say something like, "I don't know why this character acts this way. Maybe it was explained in an earlier chapter, but you should consider explaining it", and it was indeed explained in an earlier chapter and was actually a major plot point and is also just a personality trait of the character

Idk, doesn't feel all that good as a writer, gotta admit. Maybe consider rereading the earlier chapters? Maybe consider any uncertainty is on purpose and kind of the point and/or might be explained later? Maybe consider that human emotions are stupid and messy and don't always make sense?

Maybe consider leaving nice/r comments about what you liked instead of unsolicited advice

I've been feeling really iffy all day for no decernable reason and it is honestly so exhausting. Like I had a fine day! I didn't draw or write or talk to my mom or do literally anything else that usually upsets me!! What the actual fuck!!!
