If I had a nickel every time I see a dream about a girl's mobile game (babysitting, cooking) that turns up to be a nightmare, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Hi, can I request an aemond one shot with “bigger than the whole sky” from midnights by Taylor Swift?
The reader is Rhaenys and Corlys’ youngest daughter (same age as Aemond) and Alys Rivers was her maid until she gives the reader moon tea disguising it by putting it in wine or something (knowing the reader is pregnant) and it causes the reader to go into prem labour and Aemond feeds Alys to Vhagar and there’s a happy ending with reader falling pregnant again?
keep sending requests!!
Warning: miscarriage

-
‘’Aemond!’’ you screamed between grunts of pain from the contractions, hands cradling your slightly swollen stomach. ‘’Aem-Ow! Aemond!’’
You had been perfectly fine all morning up until lunch. You and Haelena had been walking to the gardens for afternoon tea when you felt an excruciating pain in your stomach that had you bending in half. Sweet Haelena tried to get you to sit down, but you felt something dripping down your thigh – blood.
This was your first pregnancy, but you had been by your sister Laena's side when was pregnant with the twins and knew this was a sign you were going into labor.
‘’That is impossible,’’ the maestre said to the midwife. Their backs were to you, but you could hear them clearly. ‘’Your term is far from complete, Lady Y/N. This shouldn't be happening-’’
‘’It’s fucking happening,’’ you snapped at them, then was hit by another contraction. ‘’Can someone get Aemond? Where in hells is my-’’
Aemond had been in the courtyard training for the tourney with Ser Criston when a handmaid came and warned him of you going into premature labor. Forgetting about his training, the prince had put away his sword and ran inside the castle to get to your side. As much as he loved to swing his sword and joust, you were of higher importance to his eyes than the tourney.
‘’Where is she?’’ Aemond was frantic, rushing through the corridors to get to his lady wife.
Just as he walked into your shared bedchamber, another scream of pain left your lips accompanied by a rush of blood coming out between your legs, pushing out clots of blood along with a lump.
A chorus of horrified gasps of the midwives was heard, realizing what had happened. What could have been, would have been, should have been your child, now laid on the floor in a puddle of blood.
Suddenly, you couldn’t breathe. You felt yourself losing any senses of consciousness, in a complete state of shock. You didn’t hear the maester leaving the room to alert the queen of the incident nor acknowledged Aemond coming to your side and wrapping his arms around you.
It was all over now. The baby – fetus, at this stage of the pregnancy – was already dead when it slipped from between your legs and to the stone floor with a rush of blood.
Aemond kneeled on the soiled floor, not caring that there would be blood on his clothes. The handmaids will clean them. Just like you, he was completely defeated and heartbroken. He never felt so beaten as he felt now. He wanted to scream, but what was the use?
Salty tears streamed from your eyes at the sight of the floor.
The following days were the darkest and saddest you had ever lived. You had cried so much tears that there was none left to spill. Your sorrow and pain were inconsolable.
One afternoon, a handmaid other than Alys brought you tea. You were confused why Alys wasn’t the one bringing the tea to your chamber, but you assumed she was busy elsewhere.
You kindly thanked her and took a sip. ‘’This tea tastes different from the one Alys brings to me. Has Maester Orwyle administered a new tea?’’
The handmaiden shook her head. ‘’No, Lady Y/N. This is regular rose tea,’’ she said, not understanding what could be different with the tea. ‘’Should I bring you a new teapot? Perhaps this one hasn’t been made correctly.’’
‘’Rose tea? Alys’s tea tastes of mint and licorice-’’ You interrupted yourself, your stomach churning as you remembered which tea tasted of mint and licorice. Tears filled your eyes. ‘’Could you fetch me Prince Aemond? I need to speak to him about a serious matter.’’
‘’Yes, my lady.’’
The accusation was of grave matter and only based on your suspicions, but you had to tell Aemond. Alys was your personal handmaid. If your suspicion of her poisoning you by giving you moon tea and lying about it being a special brew from the maester turned out to be true, she could be sentenced for treason and murder.
Aemon’s jaw was clenched. ‘’Are you certain?’’
You nodded. ‘’Yes, my love. I’ve been given moon tea before, I know what it tastes like. We can ask Maester Orwyle to be more certain-’’
He believed you. You weren’t malicious enough to be inventing bad things about your handmaids just to get them in trouble.
‘’That won’t be necessary.’’ Rage filled Aemond’s eye.
All he wanted to do was give the traitorous bitch to Vhagar for dinner.
‘’We should tell the queen,’’ you said, making a move to get up only to be guided back against the pillows.
‘’You, rest. I will inform Mother of Alys’s doing.’’

Unlikely Allies (1/?)
Pairing: Peter Pevensie x Female!Reader
Warnings: none
Word Count: 2k
Part Summary: Y/N is the Telemarine Princess. She’s devoted to her family, including her uncle Miraz, who’s keeping many secrets from her. When her aunt gives birth to her cousin, her brother runs away, leaving Y/N lost...

Y/N
"Princess Y/N?" A faint voice appears in my dream. "Princess!"
I wake up yawning and stretching out my limbs. I whine, what time is it? "Yes, what is it?" I grumble, rolling onto my side.
"Your Royal Highness," the servant greets as they enter my room and I assume they bow. "It's your aunt, she's given birth!"
I fly up from my laid position and immediately climb out of bed. "Take me there at once!"
My maid rushes me to my aunt and uncle's bed-chamber. It's the early hours of the morning, but I don't care! A cousin! Finally! People travel in and out of the room as I turn the corner. Lord Glozelle stands outside the door, guarding it.
He bows his head as I pass, "Your Royal Highness."
I enter the chaotic room, utterly gleaming. A circle of people surrounds the bed, chatter high.
"Auntie?" I make myself known.
The crowd parts, allowing me a path. My aunt lays in her bed, holding my baby cousin. My uncle is beside her, smiling ear to ear as he stares down at the baby.
My aunt looks up at me with a bright smile and waves me over. "Y/N! Come!"
I hurry over to her side, settling down on the edge of their bed. The little boy is wrapped securely in a gray blanket.
"Your cousin, a boy!" My uncle tells me, overjoyed.
My aunt extends her arms out to me, handing me the child. He's utterly precious. The true Telemarine black hair is already on his tiny head.
"Hello! You're so handsome!" I greet him, allowing his small hand to wrap around my finger.
"Y/N, your aunt and I were talking," Uncle begins, glancing between me and his wife. "We would like you to be the Godmother."
My eyes grow wide. "Truly?"
"It would be our pleasure," Auntie giggles, placing her hand over mine.
"I would be honored!" I laugh breathlessly. "Thank you, Uncle! Auntie!"
Suddenly, fireworks erupt outside, signaling the start of the celebration. "A son! A son! Lady Prunaprismia has given Lord Miraz a son!" One of the guards announces from the tower to the village.
"My Lord!" Lord Glozelle barges in frantically. He notices me and bows swiftly. "Your Royal Highness!"
My uncle sighs, a tad annoyed by the interruption. "Yes, Lord Glozelle?"
"It's Prince Caspian, he's gone!"
"What!" I panic and hand the baby back to my aunt before I rise off the bed. "What do you mean gone?"
"It'll be okay, Y/N. We'll find him," Uncle Miraz tries to assure me calmly as he stands.
"Where is he?" I question the Lord.
"My men say they saw him ride into the forest," Lord Glozelle informs.
"What! No! He'll die!" I rush out. "There are Narnians!"
"Those are mere superstitions, your tutor has plagued your mind!" My uncle laughs. "Narnians are extinct. Come Lord Glozelle, we'll begin the search immediately." My uncle stops at me, before departing. He brings his hand to my cheek gently with a comforting smile. "All will be well, Princess."
I nod, praying he's right.
Satisfied, he departs with his men, the room shrinking in population.  I turn my attention to the balcony and the full moon. "Caspian..." I whisper my brother's name, praying he's alright and safe.
________________________________________
 A few days later...
I ride toward the soldiers gathered by the river's side. I take notice of their wagons... they're empty, how odd. I dismount my horse and spot my uncle.
"Uncle!" I call over, gaining his attention.
I hurry over to him, Lord Gozelle, and the other members of Lord's council. They appear to be in a rather heated argument.
"Is everything alright?" I question worriedly. "I was on a ride when your men told me to return to the palace."
My uncle forces a convincing smile as he ushers me away from the men privately. "Yes, My Dear, I'm sorry to have frightened you."
"You're not telling me something," I accuse knowingly. "Is it Caspian?"
Caspian
Peter, Susan, and Trumpkin hide behind a pile of lumber, watching as my uncle and his men discover the mess we've left.
"I say we shoot now," Trumpkin suggests.
Susan preps her bow and arrow. That's when I see her, Y/N... my sister.
"Wait!" I place my hand over Susan's arrow.
"What is it?" She asks.
Miraz ushers her away, his hand pressed to her back. Something's wrong.
"My sister..." I mumble.
"You have a sister?" Peter questions.
"Y/N..." I whisper her name in a daze as I watch her. "She's speaking with my uncle."
Out of my peripheral, I see Peter searching for her. I can tell when he does because his features shift from confusion to astonishment.
Y/N
"Return to your ride. Everything is okay, promise!" Uncle Miraz guarantees. "My one request is that you stay out of the forest. Go straight to the palace."
"It's Narnians, isn't it?" I interrogate enthusiastically as he escorts me to my horse. It would be the only reason the guard has been so jittery and anxious. "They do exist! Oh, I knew it!"
"You and your fairytales," he laughs, helping up onto the saddle. "Be on your way, My Dear. I'll return shortly."
"Alright, I'll go tend to your baby for you," I tease him, sending him a wink.
Miraz
As I watch Y/N ride off down the path toward the castle as I asked, Lord Gozelle appears beside me.
"You should tell her," he advises.
"That her brother is a traitor and has brought back our greatest enemy" I shake my head, turning over my shoulder to join the Lords again. "No, it'll destroy her."
"Why do you care for Y/N, but Caspian is dispensable?"
"Y/N would never betray me," I state with utmost certainty. Then, I snicker. "Besides, she's a young lady. She can't take my throne."
Y/N
I ride along the path that lines the forest. The trees blur as my horse gallops swiftly back to the castle. My mind is wandering with curiosity. Miraz tells me that there's nothing to be worried about, but I can't help and question whether this is true. Abruptly, a cloaked figure appears on the path, blocking my way. My horse becomes startled and I'm bucked off, hitting the dirt with a thud. The wind is knocked out of me and I struggle to catch my breath. The cloaked figure hurries over and grabs me, dragging me off the dirt path.
"Get off of me!" I scream, thrashing about. "I am Her Royal Highness Princess Y/N! I will-" Then, the figure removes their hood and my eyes recognize my brother. "Caspian..." I whisper in disbelief.
"Hello Y/N," he grins.
"You're alive!" I fly up from my position, wrapping my arms around him frantically. Then, I fully process the news and pull back. "Wait until Miraz hears! He's been so worried!"
"No, no!" He rushes out. "You mustn't tell him you've seen me! Y/N, he's behind all of this..."
"What? No, no, that's impossible. He-"
"When he learned he had a son, he sent assassins after me! I had to run!" He squeezes my shoulders urgently. "It's all true! Everything Dr. Cornelius taught us, it's all true!"
My eyes grow wide, it can't be... "You mean about Narnians!"
"Yes! Aslan, the Kings, and Queens of Old, it's all-"
"Caspian, you can't just run off!" A male voice interrupts, followed by rushing footsteps.
"What if Miraz..." A girl begins to shout, but as she, a boy, and a dwarf appear from behind the greenery briskly their eyes land on us.
The dark-haired girl looks down at me strangely, as if she already hates me despite just meeting me. She seems like a know-it-all. I don't even know her name. The boy, tall and blonde, peers at me with parted lips. Surprise not easily hidden. The dwarf, well, he glares a lot. Two out of three already hate me. Caspian must be telling the truth, these truly are Narnians.
Caspian glances between the two and myself. "Y/N, this is-"
"Let me guess, High King Peter," I determine, meeting the boy's gaze.
He appears more astonished than before if that's possible. What? Just because I'm a Telemarine doesn't mean I don't know the legends of Narnia.
"You revealed yourself!" The girl huffs. "She's going to run and tell Miraz!"
"Let me guess, Queen Susan," I remark a bit snarky as I help myself off the ground and brush myself down. "I wouldn't tell."
"Are we just supposed to take your word for it?" Peter challenges.
"Miraz may be my uncle, but Caspian is my only brother," I argue.
"And your loyalty lies with your people, right? Am I wrong?" He presses further.
"And you're loyal to the Narnians?" I snicker mockingly. "Last I checked you disappeared for over a thousand years."
"Even the Telemarine Princess agrees with me," the dwarf huffs with a roll of the eyes.
"At least my family didn't murder millions of innocent creatures," he fires back.
I reach for the dagger resting on my belt and point it at the boy. "Take that back!"
Fearless, he steps forward, directly in front of my blade. "Your entire empire is the reason Narnians are almost extinct!"
"Our father wouldn't have harmed any creature!" I scream.
Caspian wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his chest. "Y/N, Y/N, calm down!"
"Enough of this, we have to return to the camp," Peter announces assertively as he begins to march away. "Bring her."
"No, we're not taking her with us!" Susan shouts.
"We have to!" Peter argues over his shoulder.
Caspian presses a hand to my back, leading me in the direction Peter is headed.
"What? I'm not going!" I challenge.
"Good!" Susan scoffs.
"You must," Caspian tells me calmly. "You know of us now."
"I rather drop dead," I fire back.
"That can be arranged," Peter grumbles ahead.
"Shall I send you back to wherever you came from?" I threaten the former High King.
He turns over his shoulder with a glare. "Anything to be dimensions away from you."
"Stop it!" Caspian finally breaks, looking back and forth between the two of us. "Please..."
"Miraz will send the Lords after me! It's in your best interest to let me go!" I reason with them.
"Perhaps she's right," Susan uncharacteristically agrees with me. "Caspian, we can see her another time. For now, we have to be smart."
Caspian's clearly torn, an internal battle ensuing in his mind. "What if Miraz finds out we've been together. He may retaliate against you."
I frown, "Miraz would never... he cares about me."
"I'll formulate a plan," Peter interjects, causing my brother and me to look at him. "A few men and I will sneak into the castle in two days time. We'll stage it like a kidnapping to avoid any hostility toward Y/N from your uncle."
"That gives me two days to prepare and learn what I can about what Uncle is planning," I try to convince Caspian.
"Very well, but be careful until then," he practically begs, bringing me into a hug.
"Goodbye Caspian," I mumble against his chest as I part from him. This is harder than I had expected. "Now go! Before any guards ride by!"
He nods and begins to back away. "I'll come back for you!"
Susan and Caspian run off in the opposite direction with Trumpkin. Peter lingers behind for a second, walking backward to follow them. "I'll send messages to you until it's time," he informs me. "Be ready!"
I nod, feeling sick to my stomach at the thought of what will happen in two nights. "Yes, alright," I manage to say with my voice shaking.
He nods, satisfied with my response, before jogging off to join his sister and friends. I stand in the woods, alone, utterly dazed and confused. One minute I'm riding home, the next I'm reunited with my brother and learn that Narnians are alive. On top of that, everything about my life that's been concrete, such as my home in the castle and my love of my aunt and uncle are being taken away. My brother or my people? That's the question and I only have two days to figure out an answer.

You did as the Unsullied soldier asked, waiting behind the heavy door of the Great Hall of Winterfell, brushing imaginary dust off your simple dress. It was your best one, albeit much plainer than even some of the servant girls of Winterfell, and you were self conscious.
You had come to pledge your allegiance against the Lannisters, to the King in the North, or to Lady Sansa Stark. You would pledge your allegiance to almost anyone so long as it was against the Lannisters- you still remembered your mother’s screams as a Lannister bannerman raped her before slitting her throat.
The door opened and the clamour of the lords and ladies inside trailed off as the unsullied soldier directed you forward. “Lady YN of house...” you stared hard at the maester as he squinted at his scroll. You were the last name on his list, crammed in after all of the nobles due to your status as a bastard.
You stood awkwardly, feeling the eyes of everyone staring at you- the lords and ladies behind you staring and murmuring, and the occupants of the head table: Jon Snow, Sansa, Arya and Bran Stark and Daenerys Targaryen, who was accompanied by a man and woman you did not recognise.
“What is your name, my Lady?” Jon Snow asked, quietening down the restless hall.
You looked around, worrying your lip between your teeth. “I-I...” you began, before clearing your throat. “Don’t call me ‘Lady’” you blurted out, resulting in murmuring scattered throughout the hall. “I’m sorry, I-”
“What’s your name, girl? It’s a simple enough question!” One man heckled and you sighed, beginning to turn away.
“Stop. Lord Glover, be quiet,” Arya quipped. “Go on, what’s your name,”
“And your house, if you please. You neglected to include that in your letter,” the maester added.
You took a deep breath. “My name is YN. I- I don’t have a house, I’m sorry. I’ve come to pledge my allegiance against the Lannisters,”
“And your surname? The name of your father,” the maester asked, dipping his quill.
You bit your lip. “I- I don’t know who my father is. I’m a bastard. Just put YN Snow. I’ve come to pledge my allegiance to the King in the North,”
There was a brief silence before Jon spoke. “There is no king in the north. I’ve bent the knee,” you turned to Bran, given that he was Ned Stark’s surviving true born son. “To Daenerys of House Targaryen,”
You frowned briefly, staring curiously at the dragon queen. “They say you have dragons, as big as a house. Is that true?” You asked. “Your grace,” you added quickly.
Daenerys smiled slightly. “Bigger,” she said with a smirk.
“Then Cersei Lannister and the Mountain that Rides ought to fire-proof their buildings,” you said. “If you’ll have me, I’d like to... well, I can’t fight, not with a sword at least. But I can fire an arrow in a straight line and that’s something. And if you don’t want me on the battlefield, I can cook, and my mother taught me to repair clothes, and my brother taught me how to sharpen blades. Just because I’m a bastard, doesn’t mean I’m not useful. Isn’t that right, Jon Snow?” Jon smiled slightly and nodded, seeing the twinkle in Brienne of Tarth and Lyanna Mormont’s eye as you spoke.
Slowly, every member of the head table nodded their heads. As you were beginning to seek out an empty seat, Daenerys spoke up. “Ser Jorah with help you refine your archery,” she said, gesturing to the tall man behind her. You looked at him properly for the first time. He was old, old enough to be your father at least, and handsome. “Yes, your grace,” you said.
**
“Draw the string back to your ear. These bows are probably stiffer than you’re used to, so really pull,”
You nodded, your hand trembling by your ear with the effort of holding back the string. You were eager to impress Ser Jorah Mormont- he was the first proper knight you had ever seen, and the first person more noble than a true born commoner you had had a proper conversation with.
“Loose,” he said and you did as you were bid. You turned to get a new arrow, assuming that one had missed the target, but as you were knocking it, you looked up. Ser Jorah was smiling. “Impressive. If that were a soldier, he’d be floored,” you smiled bashfully, fumbling and dropping your new arrow. Jorah smiled softly, picking it up and handing it to you, smiling softly at you from the ground.
He found you endearing, and he knew from your speech in the great hall that you were a force to be reckoned with. “Here. I think we’ll be able to hit the bullseye by the end of the day,” he said, moving behind you. “Knock,” he murmured, observing your movements. “Draw... turn your hips ever so slightly to the left, your arm will follow,”
“Like this?” You murmured, eyes focused completely on the target in front of you.
“Exactly like that. Loose,” you held your breath as you let go and watched the arrow soar towards... the bullseye!
“Well done, My Lady,” Jorah said softly.
“Ser Jorah, I’m not a lady. Why D’you keep calling me that?”
“It’s... polite, I suppose. And it’s a habit by now,”
“You really are a proper knight, aren’t you?” You teased, going to collect the arrows that littered the target.
“I mean... I’m a Ser, if that’s what you mean. I was made a knight by a monarch,”
“That doesn’t make you a proper knight. You’re like the ones in the songs and the tales. A gallant, generous, brave man, with honour and dignity and all the things that we sing about,”
Jorah smiled fondly and shook his head. “I’ve done bad things, YN. I’ve killed people,”
“So have I. So has Jon Snow,”
“You’ve killed?”
You froze, before nodding, turning away from him. “When I was fifteen, two Lannister knights broke into our home. They murdered my baby sister. They took turns raping my mother, then they slit her throat, for the crime of being a northerner, and for recognising Robb Stark as king,”
“What did you do?” Jorah said softly, approaching you slowly, as if you were a doe about to bolt away. “You can tell me. You won’t get into trouble for it,”
“One of the soldiers was huge. I thought he was the Hound at first, but he had no burns. It was his brother, the Mountain. The other knight told him to ride on, to find another village to ransack while he... finished with my mother. I was hiding in the pantry, and I took the knife that was on the table, still covered in my sister’s blood. A-and I crept up behind him as he wiped his hands on my mother’s dress... and... and...” you shuddered, remembering the heat of the blood over your hands, the way you scrubbed and scrubbed at them in a nearby river, the way you vomited at the thought of the Lannister knight’s corpse covering your mother’s...
“And that’s why you came here?” Jorah said quietly. You were leaning into his chest now as he rocked you, rubbing your back.
“Mm... they weren’t proper knights. They weren’t noble or gallant... they attacked two women and a baby in the dead of night. They had no honour. They were not just. You may think you are a bad knight, Ser Jorah, but what I saw that night... nobody could be worse than that. Goodnight, Ser,” you mumbled, pulling away from him as you made your way to your allocated room, dazed. Jorah stared after you, his heart twinging with more than just sympathy...

Creatures in the dark
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: witch!Steve x Reader
Warning: yandere, obsession, mentions of death, allusion to kidnapping.
Words: 3695.
Summary: A monster dressed in human flesh was waiting for you in the woods.
P.S. This was inspired by the movie "November" and some scary folktales.
_____________
"If you help me cross the river, pretty girl, I will give you a kiss!"
You turned your head back to see the beautiful young women standing far beside you near the birch tree, her curly hair red as sunset on a hot summer day and skin white as snow. She smiled widely at you, standing across the river with a big empty basket in your hands, and you laughed cheerfully in return: you saw her elaborate long dress, the hem embroidered with beautiful black and red threads. She was afraid to dirty her new clothes, of course.
"I will carry you on my back if you promise me not to pull my hair!" You grinned and set your basket aside, tucking the hem of your worn out dress under the belt again and returning to the river.
"I promise!" Her laugh made you step into the cold waters, and you shivered a little: even in the summer the river didn't grow warm, and only the most careless kids would try to swim in it.
You crossed the river fast, doing it often as you were coming to gather berries and herbs almost every day. The bed of the river was covered with stones, making it easy to slip, but you got accustomed to it long ago, living in these lands since birth. Once you stepped on the other side, feeling the ground under your legs, you looked at the lady standing right in front of you: now you could see she was pale as a dead woman, and for a second you froze. The night of the dead was in five days. Was she one of them?
But then the woman laughed again, and you saw blush coming to her cheeks. No, it was silly to think she belonged to the dead. They had never ever come during the day, afraid of the sunlight. The woman was most likely the daughter of a wealther merchant, kept away in the house most of the day - you remembered your cousins who lived far in the city telling you that merchants' daughters had hands soft like a baby because they never worked a day in their lives.
"Get on." You smiled at the woman, looking at her gracious features and slim body. You didn't look like her even the slightest, but you were a woodcutter's daughter, and every day you worked from the sunrise till the sunset. You sighed, thinking of that.
"You are blessed with the kindest of hearts." The woman whispered in your ear, gripping your shoulders from behind as you lifted her from the ground, her legs dangling in the air along your sides as you clenched them with your strong arms.
"My grandmother once told me that." You let out a chuckle and moved straight into the river once more, going twice more carefully now.
Little by little, you carried the woman who were even lighter than she seemed to the other side of the river, ensuring her beautiful dress didn't get wet. When you set your feet to the ground, the woman jumped off your back with a giggle and reached out to your old shoes. You raised a brow: hers were so much better. Did she want to steal yours? But the red-haired quickly turned back to you and helped you to get into your shoes. Surprised by her kindness, you didn't realize your feet were dry though you had just crossed the river.
"Be careful on your way." You said, picking up your basket. "They say there are a lot more bears in the woods this year."
She nodded at you, her beautiful face shining in the sunlight as you adjusted your dress and moved forward.
"Wait, sweetheart! I didn't give you a kiss!"
"Don't you worry about that, dear." You grinned at her. "I'm not some lecherous man."
Nonetheless, she went closer to you, taking your face into her soft hands and looking into your eyes. For a second you saw something scary in her gaze, but before you flinched involuntarily she made you froze on the spot with her eyes boring into yours. Her lovely smile had disappeared from her face as she was observing you, her gaze falling to your lips, but then her eyes looked up as she inhaled deeply.
Her breath was cold, her skin felt like ice.
"Soon you'll meet a man in the woods." The woman said, brushing away a strand of hair from your face. "A monster dressed in human flesh. He will fall in love with you the moment he sees you. Listen to my advice, sweetheart: don't run from him for he will find you even at the end of the earth."
Staring at her in horror, you couldn't move your tongue, gawking at the woman standing so close you could see the abyss in her eyes. Who was she? And who was the man she was talking about? No, no, it couldn't be true. You already knew the monster who would come to claim you once the summer passed and the harvest ended. The woman must have taken you for someone else.
"I have already met a man I will be given to." You whispered, your body shaking. "He's the woodcutter just like my father and my grandfather were."
"That pig?" The woman laughed, caressing your cheek. "He's fat and old and ugly. No, he won't have you, love. You belong to the man you will meet in the woods."
Before you opened your mouth to protest, she leaned closer to you and left a tender kiss on your forehead, her lips warm and soft just like your mother's were. You closed your eyes only for a mere second, but when you opened them again the woman was gone as if she had never existed in the first place. Waiting for something, anything to happen, you waited and waited, afraid to move. Then, as if someone pushed you in the back, you flew back to the river, grabbing your basket and hurrying home. Even if your grandfather would whip you for returning empty-handed, it was better than staying in the forest.
You had soaked your shoes and dress, but you hardly cared, shaking feverishly and running further: your thoughts were all about the woman you met. Did she belong to the dead? Was she the forest nymph? The Devil himself? The ghost living in the woods?
The more you ran, the faster you were becoming exhausted, slowing down until you were barely walking. Then you suddenly realized you couldn't hear birds singing although not so long ago they were chirping happily on the branches. More than that, you could hear nothing at all.
Terrified, you looked around, searching the forest for the monster she was talking before, yet instead the ones you stumbled upon were the corpses of birds on the ground. The black liquid was oozing from their hollow eyes and beaks. Close there was a wolf laying down near the old oak tree in the very same black fluid.
The Plague. You had carried the Plague on your back across the river.
Clamping a hand over your mouth, you ran till your insides burnt and your knees trembled. You barely registered an empty basket still in your hand when you had finally reached the village, screaming at the top of your voice: "THE PLAGUE! THE PLAGUE HAS COME!"
You were frightened to death to see the bodies laying on the ground in a pool of black liquid, but people emerged from their old houses with leaking roof and rotten windows right away, concerned with your shouting and looking in each other's faces. Before you registered it in your own mind, you were taken to the village elders who wiped clean your forehead coloured in red. You told them nothing of the woman you carried on your back, but showed the dead animals in the woods, nevertheless, and the elders had covered them with rocks until all the bodies were hidden beneath them. Then they drew circles around those stone altars and sang before the darkness descended upon the forest.
You couldn't believe the Plague had taken none of your people, but you didn't feel safe. There was one more village across the other side of the river, and it couldn't be a coincidence the Plague moved there. She wasn't coming to take more forest beasts and birds. But no one was send to deliver the news to unfortunate ones living by the other side. Everyone knew the Plague would follow a messenger back to their village, and no one could risk it.
The next five days all of you spent in total isolation, not leaving your houses and praying most of the time instead of working. No one came from the village on the other side of the river, but you knew most of them must be dead by now. You saw the beautiful deadly white face of that woman in your nightmares almost every night. However, by the end of the fifth day the elders claimed that the danger had passed, and you could finally prepare for the night of the dead, and when it became dark, people lighted up the beeswax candles and left pieces of bread covered in salt beneath the trees, hurrying back to their houses. Your grandfather said it was better to be taken by the Plague than disrespecting the ones laying in the cold ground.
You shivered under your blanket, rolling on your bed - a wooden frame with a mattress filled with wheat and barley straw - and thinking of the Plague in a form of a beautiful woman. Why did she kiss you on the forehead? From what you knew from the legends, she always kissed men on the lips, and then they fell dead to the ground, their rotten bodies turning pitch black, darker than the night sky. Why didn't she take you? Did she take pity on you? Did she leave you because you belonged to that man you would meet in the woods?
You sighed, blinking your tears away. You were alive. This was the only thing that mattered.
There was a subtle light beaming throw the cracks in a wooden shutter, and you stilled. The dead came to your house - your grandmother and older brother were standing outside, eating bread you cooked in the evening before going to bed. Sadly, your parents were never coming with them.
Wrapping yourself into the blanket, you thought of your grandma's warm hands when she tucked you into bed every evening, sitting beside you and telling you the tales her own grandmother told her when she was little. Your older brother had already been snoring loudly near the stone oven as you listened to the stories about fae and elves dancing in the shadow of the big oak tree near the river.
Now your grandfather was the only one left. Afraid your line would die out, he hurriedly promised your hand to an old widower, a strong man whose children were grown enough to get married and leave his house. Of course, no one had asked for your consent. You were a mere woodcutter's daughter.
You wiped your tears away, thinking of the light creeping through the cracks. The man fat as pig and a monster waiting for you in the woods. Better to leave with the dead than stay here and give in to your fate, you thought.
Before you turned away, the light got brighter, and you saw the white eye in the crack of wooden shutter. Your dead brother was looking at you through the window.
You didn't remember getting out of your bed in your torn nightgown, stepping on the floor so quietly your grandfather didn't hear anything at all. You didn't remember opening the door and going outside without your shoes on, feeling the damp ground beneath your feet. All you saw were smiling faces of your grandma and your brother, their eyes white as if they were blind from birth. Their gentle voices ushered you to come with them, and you followed, taking a ligthed candle in your arms. With each step you were further from home and closer to the forest, the dead going forward and disappearing into the deep fog that wouldn't begin to lift until the sunrise. Your grandmother had your hand in cold hers as she guided you into the woods. Charmed with her smile and your brother's soft murmuring, you didn't ask them questions where they were taking you.
Suddenly you heard an irritated hiss behind your back, and you woke up from your dream-like state, realizing you were going by the path of the dead. A stong arm pulled you from your grandmother's grasp, and somebody threw your candle to the ground, stepping on it right away.
The skinny boy with a lantern shouted furiously, "Are you out of your mind, girl? You asked the dead to take you away, didn't you?"
Oh, you did. Though your grandfather had expressly forbid you from even thinking of the dead when they were coming to take the salted bread left for them, you asked them to take you from utter desperation.
"Go to where you belong." The boy said angrily, and your brother furrowed his brows while your grandma pulled him by the hand back to the path. "You can't have her. It's not her time yet."
Before your brother opened his mouth, the golden-haired boy raised his finger and pointed to the path, shaking his head. He stayed there, holding your hand until your family turned their backs to you, and you heard the quiet cries of your grandma, her shoulders shaking slightly. The guilt consumed you when you thought they only wanted to take you to the place where you would no longer need to marry and live in want and fear.
"Turn away." The boy commanded, and your feet moved on your own. "Don't you see what you've done? If not me, they'd take you to the world of the dead."
"It can't be worse than here." You muttered, keeping your head low.
The boy stopped abruptly and stepped closer to you, moving his lantern up so it lightened up your face. You stared in his dark blue eyes in return, looking at his unhealthy pale skin. For a moment you thought he was just like the woman you carried across the river, but he was neither deadly white nor cold like her. If you saw him in a daylight, you'd never think he was anyone special.
When he wiped your forehead with his hand, staring at you intently, you almost flinched.
"The Plague had given you her blessing." The boy said, shocked with the revelation. "She marked you, didn't she? Gods, I see you're a lucky girl."
You gulped down, hard.
"I c-carried her across the river on my back, and she kissed my forehead." You whispered as he took you by the hand again and moved back to the village, tugging you along. "But I didn't rot."
"Now you never will." He simply said and kept going.
The blessing, then? So you would never die the same way the birds and wolf you found in the forest did? Confused with your thoughts, you didn't ask him how he knew of the Plague and who he was himself.
"I've never heard about her giving someone her blessing. Didn't she kill the ones who carried her?" Your voice was quiet as you observed the boy's pretty face.
"I only know she killed all mortal men. You must be special, then." His lips curled in a friendly smile for the first time, and you felt your bare feet growing warmer.
The rest of the way back to the village you spent in complete silence, although you desperately wanted to know who was your  mysterious savior. Was he the guardian of the dead? But you had never met him trailing behind them before. Was he a ghost? A saint? You thought of the beautiful golden lantern he held in his arm - you had never seen anything like that before in your entire life, the flying sparks inside it surely magical - and realized he belonged to the same kind as the Plague and the dead ones. The boy definitely wasn't human.
However, it seemed he only wanted to bring you back as you walked by the houses of your neighbors, staring at the closed shutters. Before you reached your house he turned to an old well and said something about washing the touch of the dead away from your skin. As he pulled the bucket of water up, suprising you with his strength - gods, he was thin as the bench of a birch tree - he soaked the handkerchief he pulled from his pocket in the water and gently wiped your palms, smiling at you.
"You aren't like the dead ones, are you?" You asked, watching him wrapping the wet cloth around your fingers one by one.
"No. Though I am only half mortal, please don't be scared. I don't hurt pretty little girls like you." He laughed at your suprised expression wholeheartedly and splashed water on your face. "And please stay away from the dead for your own sake. What in the world made you wish for them to take you away?"
You fell silent at his question, averting your eyes and biting down on your lower lip. What would he do even if you told him? Killed your betrothed? Then your grandfather would find you someone else from the village. Worse, if no one agreed to take you, you'd stay alone and become a prey for lecherous married men who'd definitely come to you when their wives refused pleasing them. That is, if the boy wouldn't laugh at your worries - even the daughters of the king married the ones their father had chosen for them.
Without saying a word, you just smiled at the stranger as you withdraw you clean hands, watching your skin shining in the moonlight. It was all too much for you.
"You are pretty." He said softly, his blue eyes gleaming in the dark as he touched your arm again, picking up his lantern. "Do not worry about that pig. He won't marry you."
You snatched your hand away, looking at the boy wide-eyed. How did he know what you were thinking about?
"I might end up as an old virgin then." You whispered, afraid that the boy would truly kill the man. "Or are you saying all people living in this place will die from the Plague?"
"Forgive me if I scared you, but I didn't anything like that." He chuckled, shaking his blonde head. "If the Plague wanted to consume your village, she would already do it before crossing the river. It's just... you're not going to marry the man, I can tell you for sure. But let's stop there for I can't speak any longer about it. I will escort you back to your house, alright?"
You nodded, standing up and showing him the way without a second thought. You were glad he stopped talking, but the thought of the Plague and you not getting married lingered at the back of your mind. What did the boy mean? If your betrothed wasn't going to die, why wouldn't he marry you? You didn't voice you questions, though. You wanted to hear nothing about all this again.
The Plague, the dead, the boy. It was too much for you to handle. It all seemed like a nightmare instead of reality, and the only thing you wanted was to go to bed and then wake up in the morning, finding out all this was just a bad dream: the blessing, the prediction, the path of the dead, the savior in the form of a skinny boy... this kaleidoscope of events made your head hurt. It was unbelievable.
"Please be more careful." The boy said gently as you faced the door, reluctantly letting go of your hand. "I don't patrol these forests every night and won't be able to save you if you do something stupid again."
"I won't. Thank you for help me." You bowed deeply in front of him and reached for the door door handle.
Once you stepped inside, you felt your grandfather's strong hand pulling you in immediately as you flew to him and almost fell down on the top of his body. Before you made a sound, horrified he had discovered your night stroll, you saw a pile of ash spread at the door and felt your grandfather's grip on your hand getting even stronger. Ash? Ash was used to prevent the evil spirits from entering the house. But you didn't have time to ask the man holding you when you heard the sounds he made - they were almost inhuman.
As you raised your eyes, you saw the boy with his beautiful lantern, enourmous reindeer antlers coming out of his blonde head. The gentle golden light turned into deadly blue as the boy smiled at you, but he seemed no longer sweet and gentle. There was something carnivorous in his gaze, something that made you froze on the spot.
Fear washed over you as you realized his charms had fallen off, making your head clear - he was the one the Plague had told you about. The monster dressed in human flesh.
"What a pity, little one. I hoped you won't see me like that so soon." His voice chilled you to the bones. "I'd take you away tonight, but the Plague's mark won't let me cast the right spell."
Your grandfather let out a choking noise behind you, pressing you closer to him as if in attempt to protect you. The horned boy's sickly sweet smile made you break out in cold sweat.
"Don't worry about that, though, for I'll find some other way. The Plague had already told you there's no point in running from me, hadn't she?"
He stepped closer, leaning against the doorway but staying outside as the pile of ash suddenly sparked, and the boy laughed at the your pathetic attempt to keep him away.
"I'll find you even at the end of the earth."

Circus of Dreams, pt 4 | Feysand
Night Circus AU. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
In the end, no one came that first day. Rhys was not altogether surprised, it wasn't the first time it had happened and it certainly would not be the last.
Despite the lack of crowds, the day was not all bad. Sure, he had spent most of the day pacing his tent alone, but the minutes dancing with Feyre... well he wasn't sure when the last time he'd had that much fun was.
So, at the end of the day, when their official closing time hit and he was free to go back to his caravan, he was in a good mood and whistled as he walked.
Every night, dinner was served in the largest tent. It was an unkempt, sloppy affair, when performers were ravenous and no one was standing on ceremony. Rhys had rolled up his shirt sleeves joined the long table once he had picked up his serving of stew, and those he sat near nodded their acknowledgement without pausing their meal.
A couple of minutes later, he saw Mor enter the tent with Feyre. The ballgown was gone now, but it looked like Mor had not let her change into her faded old dress. Instead, she had Feyre in simple but elegant black wool skirt, and a soft white shirt tucked into it. They spotted Rhys and headed right to him.
"Evening ladies," he said. "Hello Rhysand, move over," Mor said, wriggling down next to him.
Feyre sat more gingerly opposite them, and Rhys' eyes sparkled at him. "It's a little rough in here," he said. "My apologies." "No," Feyre said, "I'm just surprised at how... different it is in here from out there." Rhys nodded. "We put on a beautiful show," he said, "but at night we're just a big messy family. Relaxing when you're off makes it easier to be fully engaged when you're on." Feyre smiled. "It's nice, actually. Dinners at home mostly consisted of shivering and trying to make soup out of bones." "Well then, dig in," Rhys said, and Feyre, not needing further invitation, did so.
Rhys went to sleep that night full and comfortable. But hours later, he woke to the sound of screams and the smell of smoke.
He burst out of his caravan, scanning the area, and soon found the source of the panic. Mor and Feyre's caravan was on fire, heavy benches propped up against the two doors in the side. Dark figures ran off into the night.
"You're not welcome here!" one of them shouted as he ran. Cassian took off after them, but Rhys dove toward the doors. He became aware of Amren beside him, and reached Feyre's door at the same time as Amren shoved aside the bench and yanked open Mor's. They hauled the girls out, coughing and spluttering, and dragged them away from the smoking wagon before letting them rest on the grass. A few of the others had run for buckets of water to douse the flames.
"What in the fuck was that?" Amren snapped. She was looking around furiously, propping Mor up while she searched for answers. Rhys didn't say anything, just sat grimly with Feyre as she continued coughing and checked her over for injuries. Someone ran up with water for them, and to report that the fire was now out.
Soon after, Cassian walked back into the camp, and in each of his hands was the collar of a young man. They dangled in his grip, resentment written over their faces.
"I found these," Cassian growled, addressing Amren. "And two cans of kerosene to boot." She stood, and looked them both over with disgust. "Just what in the hell do you think you're playing at?" she hissed at them. "People could have died." "Not our people," replied one sullenly. He spat at her feet.
Like lighting, Amren reached out and slapped the boy across the fight. "No," she snarled. "My people." She looked at Cassian.
"Say Cassian. Didn't we pass a big, cold looking river on the way in?" "Yes ma'am, I believe we did," was his reply. "Fantastic. Please toss these miserable excuses for men in said river, and let them know if I catch them around here again I will personally break all of their legs." "Yes ma'am." Cassian nodded, and strode off.
Amren pinched the bride of her nose. "Is everyone alright?" she asked. Mor and Feyre just nodded.
"Oh, Mor," Feyre said suddenly. "Your beautiful fabrics."
But Mor just smiled ruefully at her.
"They're just fabrics," she said. "We'll go in tomorrow and see what's left."
"Right," Amren said. "Morrigan, you can come sleep in my caravan. Feyre, go with Rhysand." She addressed the rest of the camp. "Everyone else go back to sleep. We'll leave first thing in the morning."
And with that, she left them. Mor hugged Feyre tightly, and checked again to see if she was okay. When she had ascertained that she was, she followed after Amren. And the rest of the crowd drifted off back to their caravans too.
"Come on," Rhys said gently, and took Feyre's arm under the elbow to help her up. She leaned on him as they walked, shivering slightly at the shock of what had happened.
Back in Rhys' caravan, Rhys had to help Feyre through the cramped space. He would have lit a candle, but after her ordeal, he thought it might be insensitive. So he guided her through the dark, and led her to the bed. Feyre sat down, then suddenly looked up at him with alarm in her eyes.
"Don't worry," he said. "You have the bed, I'll sleep on the floor."
Feyre looked like she was about to protest, but Rhys whipped out a spare blanket and got down before she could say anything. So, Feyre slid in between his sheets, and the thought of it made him shiver a little. He pushed the thought to the side, and closed his eyes.
A moment later, Feyre's voiced reached out though the dark.
"Rhys?" "Yes Feyre?" "They're not... coming back, are they?"
Rhys sat up. "Oh, darling. No, I shouldn't think so. Amren will have Cassian keep watch all night." "Okay," was all she said. "I'm so sorry that happened to you. What a start to your circus career." Feyre was quiet for a moment. "Thanks for pulling me out," she said. "Of course. I'm just glad we got to you quickly."
There was silence again, and Rhys had just started to drop off to sleep, when Feyre spoke again. "Rhys?" "Yes Feyre?" A pause. "I'm so sorry, I feel so deeply foolish. But I just wanted to check that you were still there." Rhys frowned into the dark. "It's not foolish. You were nearly burned alive in your caravan, I wouldn't sleep well either." "I started to drift off, then for some reason I panicked that you weren't there." "Okay. Would... would you like me to hold your hand?" Another pause. "I think that might help."
Rhys shifted closer to the bed, and tapped the frame so that she would know where his hand was. Immediately, he felt her small grip clutching him. He realised that this was the first time he was touching her without gloves, and the warmth of her skin was lovely.
"Mmm," she murmured. "That does help." Feyre yawned. "Rhys?" "Yes Feyre?" he whispered. "Thank you," she said. And shortly after that, she was asleep.
The next day, Rhys woke with a dead arm, but didn't mind. They left early, everyone a little bleary eyed, but with the scorched caravan still scenting the air with the stale smoke, no one complained as they packed up quickly and headed out of town.
Over in the next village, they set up and asked around for a carpenter to come have a look at the burnt wagon. Mor spent some time sifting through the wreckage, pulling out things that were salvageable. Unfortunately, since the boys had done such a thorough job of dousing the wood in kerosene, even though the fire hadn't burned very long the caravan was now unliveable.
They performed to a modest audience that night, and ate in relative quiet, everyone still a bit unsettled after the attack the previous night. Feyre left early, and when Rhys got back to his caravan, he found her sitting on the front step.
He gave her a gentle smile.
"Hello, Feyre darling," he said. "I... still don't have any place to live," she said by way of greeting. "Yes you do," he said. "You can live here."
Feyre turned and looked at his caravan. "It doesn't seem... very proper," she said slowly. "Well, neither does running away with the circus, and you've done that already." "I suppose that's true," Feyre mused. "If you're uncomfortable, I'm sure we can make other arrangements. Most people live with a partner or friend already, but they can always make room." Feyre shook her head. "I wouldn't want to put anyone out like that. I'm happy to stay if you are happy to have me." She paused. "Or, maybe I should just go home." "Nonsense," Rhys said quickly. "You haven't even seen half the things that need your attention. There's a massive clockwork pony that you would just love."
And so she stayed.

College Monsters - Part 2
Chapter 2:
The group leaves the library, curious and in suspense of what information they’re going to find on their old friend.
Back in Luis and Joel’s dorm, all huddled around Luis and his laptop. They go through every single result pertaining to Sam and Dean, including news articles from different states about the brothers being wanted for everything under the sun including credit card fraud, breaking, and entering, grave desecration and murder. Surprised by what they’re reading, Gabe accidentally blurts ‘What great lives they’ve led’. They exit that page and click on the next one, which shows a video of a man in a weird pig mask, talking to a camera in front of another man, laying and strapped down to a metal table. The man in the mask explains that he’s got something special, a new item. ‘Introducing, Mr. Sam Winchester!’. They’re dumbfounded. They’re left speechless in regard to what they’re watching.
‘That’s Sam? He looks so much different from the last time we saw him.’ Sarah accounts. ‘What is this, some kind of stupid sketch?’ Joel asks, but no one answers. ‘He looks scared, this doesn’t feel right.’ Luis remarks as the masked man starts listing off numbers and exclaims ‘SOLD! And now, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s begin the auction for Sam Winchesters heart!’, he points to Sam strapped down and struggling on the table ‘Can we stop this?’ Sarah asks as the man points a gun to Sam’s head and as soon as the bullet fires, they all look away. Scared to look back at the screen, they hear ‘show’s over’ from a man they don’t recognize. Joel slowly turns back, expecting to see his old friend dead. ‘Guys he’s okay.’ The other three, terrified of what they might see on the screen, peer suspensefully at the screen but to their surprise, they see Sam, still alive on the table, breathing heavily and a man in a long black coat, untying the brown leather straps that held his brother down.
The group, all except for Luis, move back from the screen. Luis keeps his hunched position in front of the screen, he doesn’t move. ‘What is wrong with those guys’ Gabe asks, with no answer from the others. Sarah hesitates, ‘Do you think… they’re still alive?’, Luis’ hand shakes in fear as he exits that tab and clicks another link, this time finding a forum called “The Lose-chesters”… ‘That’s a… that’s a great name’, Sarah remarks, clearly laughing at the name opposite to their last names. Some of the posts are recounting experiences the anonymous people have had with the brothers; other posts show photos taken of the boys to alert other “monsters”, as they’re called on the site, to their locations. “The big tree and the meerkat are in Baltimore Maryland, watch out.”, Gabe reads the username of the person that posted it, ‘What kind of name is “Vamp_1ady” anyway?’ They shuffle against each other, clearly uncomfortable and unable to say anything. Time passes as the others sit down on Joel and Luis’ bed, slowly pulling out books to read and passing out on their beds. Luis, still sitting at the computer hours later clicking on different links over and over, doesn’t even realise that it’s now 6am. He should get some sleep. His butt is numb from not moving all night, his legs are shaky, and his back is burning from hunching. With his stuttering legs, he stands up and slowly stumbles over to his bed where he finds Sarah, with her glasses falling off her face and a book in front of her. He looks over to his roommate’s bed and finds his friends Gabe and Joel inching ever so closely to each other, asleep. ‘Cute.’ He thinks as he flops onto his bed and instantly, his eyes fall shut as if they’re being weighed down by a ships anchor.
The next day
The boys parked outside an older diner just outside , waiting to leave. ‘Dean, I don’t understand why you insist on getting pie now when we’re a few miles away from the college. They have perfectly fine pie there.’ Sam, sitting and waiting impatiently in Baby reading about the case they’re headed towards. ‘You don’t know that Sammy’, Dean remarks but doesn’t register Sam’s confused expression. ‘I went to school there, does your old-man-brain remember that? I’ve tried every single mediocre college food and pie they have there.’ Sam, with a prideful expression plastered on his face, becomes intimidated as his brothers turns from happiness and pure pie-induced bliss to frustration. ‘You know, if I didn’t love pie and Baby, I would have thrown this at you right about now. Watch yourself’.
‘’Yeah, sure. Ok so about the case it’s obviously at Stanford and students have reported a giant rat creature chasing them down the streets during at around 12-2am every night. One sophomore student, Lily Franchi, barely escaped it and got away with a fractured forearm. She says the creature held her down, bit and began twisting it around probably trying to tear it off, it’s a miracle that her elbow didn’t explode.’ Dean finishes his pie and interrupts, ‘She was pinned to the ground, and it was trying to rip off her arm? How did she even get away?’, Sam, still troubled by this himself answers ‘No one knows, according to other students and a professor, it just up and left. One student caught a video of it too, here’, Sam pulls out his phone and plays the video for Dean, a blood-curdling scream coming from Lily and other sounds like car horns and shouting from the people behind the camera can be heard.
‘Man, Splinter really let himself go huh?’ Sam, pulling his confused puppy face ‘The rat from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?’ Dean says, probably even more confused that Sam doesn’t understand his reference. ‘Whatever’ He starts the car and they’re off to Stanford, once again. After a while of driving, they get closer to the school, the former student becomes more anxious by the second just by the thought of going back there and seeing his old friends and being unable to answer the questions they’d have, his heartrate fastens and it feels like it’s about to burst out of his chest, he begins to shake, ‘Where did you go? Where have you been these past few years? Why didn’t you come back?”, he feels a pit grow in his stomach and grabs Dean’s jacket sleeve without realising.
Dean looks at him and instantly pulls the car over ‘Sam? Sammy, you, ok?’ Sam opens the door, jumps out and hunches over waiting, eyes closed hesitantly for something to come up from his stomach. Dean follows and rushes around the car to his side ‘Sam? What’s wrong?’ Sam looks up at Dean with a small river of tears in his eyes, still trying to calm down ‘Nothing, nothing. I’m fine. I was just- just overthinking.’ Dean reaches into the car and pulls out a bottle of water, handing it to Sam, now crouching on the ground like a scared dog with its tail between its legs. ‘Thanks’ Dean sits next to Sam and waits for him to calm down so they can get back on the road. ‘No problem.’ They sit there for ten minutes. ‘You wanna tell me what that was about?’ Dean questions him. Sam, whose hair is covering his face, doesn’t even look up. ‘I was thinking about someone there.’ Dean notices a tear fall from his face onto the dirt below ‘Jess?’ Sam looks up at Dean ‘No. Someone else, still alive.’ Dean’s surprised, someone other than Jess?
Who could have triggered such a strong reaction from Sam.

OWL HOUSE X CTHULHU MYTHOS: GOD AWAKEN (24)
Camila found herself alone in a dark, dank room. Around her wrists were tightly bound in a rope extending from the ceiling. It had now been a few hours since she was cruelly torn away from her only daughter. Her daughter may as well be dead at that point. Every passing hour, Camila tried in vain to loosen the strains weighing her down. The thought of what could become of her daughter filled her with determination, but even that was not enough to make a dint.
“Mija.”
The door swung open alerting the middle-aged woman. Any hope that it was her daughter on the other side were quickly dashed when she was met with the cold, luminous glow of a golden mask.
“It is time, daughter.”
Camila squinted her eyes in a scowl. “Whatever you have planned, you will not prevail.”
Emperor Belos let out a low, hazy chuckle. He was in such a sickly state his ribs were poking through his robes. At that rate, taking the life essences of palismans was not enough to delay the inevitable. Death was now knocking at Emperor Belos’ door to claim him and it occurred to Belos that Death was not a patient fellow. “I am really going to miss your feisty attitude; maybe that is where Luz got her fire from.”
Camila wanted to bash Belos’ mask in until his skull cracked from the pummeling. “Leave my daughter out of this.”
Belos raised his hand in objection. “Fret not, daughter: I will take good care of your daughter.” He turned away from Camila and exited through the door. “I will raise her to the perfect child. Better than you ever were.”
Emperor Belos firmly grasped his staff. He inhaled deeply and exhaled through the tiny slits in his mask. His legs were clenching up giving him a near gallop to his walk. The Owl Spy walked down the hall seeing his lord staggering.
“Any problem, your Majesty?”
Belos waved his head to save face. “Just interrogating the human woman.”
“I see. Luz and the Owl Lady are still locked away, so there should be little issue for the occasion.”
“Excellent; you have always been a loyal follower,” Belos lamented. “By the way, have you seen Kikimora? She is usually the one who would oversee these public punishments.”
The Owl Spy bowed his head. “It’s a shame, really. I cannot believe the odds of this happening.”
Belos tilted his head quizzically. “What pray tell?”
“Our Kikimora was in your laboratory earlier, and for the likes of me, I don’t know how it happened.”
Belos tapped his fingers on the tip of his staff. “Well, what is it? Go on.”
“Kikimora...lost her footing and fell into one of your vaults. She was not in too much pain from the looks of it. It was like...taking a long sleep.”
Belos loosened his grasp on his staff. “Well. That’s a pity.”
Belos resumed walking in the opposite direction without much thought aside from finally getting revenge on his adoptive daughter. When he was completely gone, the Owl Spy opened the door to Camila’s cell. Camila tensed up when she heard the door open again.
“Are you back to mock me more?” She looked at the site of the opened door instead seeing the Owl Spy. “You’re...you’re not Belos.”
The Owl Spy nodded and removed his mask. “Your daughter happens to be friends with my daughter.”
“Oh. Well, why are you here?” Camila walked backward as a way of trying to get as far away as she could.
“Relax, I am not going to hurt you,” he reassured.
“I’m sorry that I am having a hard time believing what any of you witches tell me,” Camila said, “after all, it was your coven that attacked the hospital I was working at and dragged me kicking and screaming to this world.”
The Owl Spy nodded in understanding. “Listen to me: your daughter is still alive, and she is fighting to save you.”
Camila perked up. “Take me to her, please.”
The Owl Spy put his finger on her mouth. “Not too loud...I do have a plan, just listen carefully.”
Amity sprinted down the halls with the knowledge that her siblings were locked away in the dungeon. Her breath was getting heavier and all the running was making her legs sore, but the pain was only a minor stumbling block.
“I just hope Luz has the glyphs ready.”
From the corner of her eye, she could see the mighty door of the dungeon coming into crystal view. In front of the door, two large burly guards were in front of it. Given their attire, it was easy to identify them as working for the dreaded Conformatorium. Amity quickly hid in a wall’s corner hoping to have been silent enough to not be heard. She glared out from behind the wall and saw that the guards were still none the wiser. In fact, they were having a conversation from the looks of it, but about what the witch-in-training did not know nor care.
Amity took her finger and drew a spell circle into the air drawing forth a fire ball. This too she had to do in great silence. She held the ball in the palm of her hand and watched it flicker as it danced around. She took one final look and flung it. She quickly dashed herself away when the guards took the bait and ran to find the origin of the sound.
Amity raced her way to the door now seeing that locks of varying shapes and sizes were all over the door. The witch girl looked around in some ways hoping that the key wasn’t too far behind. Having another idea in mind, Amity placed her hands on the door and inhaled. With a wave of her hand, permafrost began to manifest from her palms and wrists before spreading in all directions on the door. She could feel the door’s metallic design shift underneath her palms becoming converted to solid ice.
Once the door was completely frozen, Amity looked around for something she could pitch at the door. Scanning her surroundings, Amity grabbed a medium-sized rock and tossed it at the door. Much like breaking grass or fine china, the door broke into fragmented pieces and shattered. Without much prompt, Amity immediately dashed in on the off chance that the two guards from earlier returned. It took little effort to see that her siblings were in a cell together.
“Edric, Emira!”
She dashed to their cell, stopping just short of the bars. Now, Edric was nothing more than fragile glass: he was sprawled on the floor in capable of moving. From her sister’s wailing, Odalia likely arrived earlier and withdrew another hit of magic. Now, the boy’s magic sac was completely depleted. Without magic to balance off of, he was a vegetable. Emira looked up to her baby sister. Mascara was running from her eyes.
“Mittens?”
Amity hushed her. “Don’t worry, I’m here now. Once I get the staff, we’ll have our brother back.”
Emira’s eyes widened fearfully. “Look out!”
Amity jumped out of the way of a red beam that sliced into the floor of the dungeon leaving a deep cut in it. “So you’ve come to stop us?”
Amity clenched her fists. “Mother.”
Odalia held the staff in her hand and it shined its ominous red glow. “Why must you prevent Lord Nyarlathotep’s plans?”
“Mother, can’t you see that Nyarlathotep had corrupted you?” Amity asked “the staff has to be destroyed.”
Odalia shook her head. “I have finally gotten everything that I could have ever hoped for.”
“You’re insane.”
“Because of Lord Nyarlathotep, I have gone up exceedingly on the pecking order of this isle; I am a part of an elite group of magic, and now, with his help, I have become one of the most powerful witches on the Boiling Isles! Maybe even second to the Emperor himself! After years of trying to upkeep the proud Blight name, I am now reaping the benefits of that labor.”
Amity got up on feet. “If you let Nyarlathotep and Belos win, then the family line will die with you.”
Odalia firmly grasped the staff in her hand. “You have always been a perpetual thorn in my side, haven’t you?”
Amity did not respond. Her mother continued her tirade.
“You should be more grateful to your mother that I even allowed you to be born. After all these years molding you until you achieved perfection, you instead chose to throw that all away by continuing to see that half-witch behind my back, and I would have at least loved it that you’d befriend...I don’t know maybe a river troll...but no, once that human vermin encroached on our world, you have always been by her side...Why? Are you really telling me that all that time and energy I put into raising you so you could be the best that you could possibly be was all for naught? You are an insult to the Blight family name.”
Amity shook her head in defiance. “The only insult to our family is you.”
“Is that so? Is that how you really feel?”
Amity nodded whilst gripping the ground.
“Death it is then.”
Odalia shot fire balls from the staff in a flurry. Amity instinctively dodged them and shot ice from her finger tips. It quickly froze the balls of fire and they dropped to the floor with a loud thud.
Odalia slammed the staff on the ground creating a tremor. The earth opened up to swallow Amity whole. Once more with quick thinking, the witch girl fell into the hole but bounced back. Odalia stared into the crevice seeing that she created a barrier that bounced her off.
“All that talent, spoiled.”
Odalia lifted the gem of the staff to the sky and twirled it. A crackle of sound came from the gem and it began to glow a bright, crimson red as it charged. Odalia flashed a smile and discharged a ball of light. Amity created another barrier this time large enough to cover the cell of the twins. “Stop this at once! Edric and Emira could get in the way!”
Odalia laughed to herself. The barrier was quickly starting to destabilize from the eldritch powers eating away at it. “This magic is infinitely more powerful than the run-of-the-mill variety you have been studying.”
Amity drew more attention to the barrier. She twirled her finger once more and fired it into the barrier. Holes began to form inside of the barrier which the witch girl tried to fight by hardening it. Sweat was beating down from Amity’s forehead. Her fingers started chafing from the prolonged time she put into resealing the barrier. She sensed the magic being cast from her magic sac was draining slowly. If it were to completely disappear, Amity would be sure to faint.
“I am going to stop you no matter what!”
Odalia shot more of the alien light at the orb forming. It was readily eclipsing the size of the barrier Amity devised. Amity’s knees clamped together. “Just a little more...”
The barrier shattered sending Amity flying back. Amity’s eyes fluttered open seeing the Blight matriarch approaching her. She went to get off her back, but Odalia pinned her down with the staff. It was pressed firmly on her stomach. The gem once more shined brightly.
“If only you would’ve been a better daughter.”
She lifted the staff up and flipped it. The growing gem reflected in Amity’s eyes. The power inside of it surged and crackled. There was a sudden surge of heat coming from the object. On instinct, Amity rolled over and kicked the end of the staff.
“You brat!”
Odalia made a grab for the gem, but Amity took her other leg and tripped the matriarch with it. Odalia held out her hand but it was too late. The gem made contact with the ground and shattered into millions of pieces. A green mist slithered put of the remnants and entered the cell holding Edric. The gaseous cloud hovered over the boy and entered the orifices of his face.
Edric’s skin returned to its former glory, and when he inhaled, his skin bubbled up as it was filled with the magic it was deprived of. Edric opened his eyes, looking around. “Guys? Whats going on?”
Emira’s eyes widened and she sighed in relief. “Edric!”
Before Edric could say anything, she spontaneously hugged him. “You’re crushing my ribs.”
Odalia screamed and clung onto the pieces of the destroyed staff. In her blind anger, she grabbed Amity by her neck and lifted her in the air. “You ungrateful, insolent, self-absorbed brat!”
Amity grabbed her mother’s hands attempting to pry them off her. “Lord Nyarlathotep will be most displeased when I tell him what you have done!”
A crackle grabbed their attention. On the ground, another mist was growing. It widened into a flat circle and opened up. “What is this??”
The hole began to suck whatever was in its path inside it. The sound of legions of flutes emitted from the hole now understood to be a portal. It had the two warring family members in its proximity and was sucking them in. Amity grabbed the cell bar for dear life. “What if that is Nyarlathotep’s dimension? Then that means...”
“Whatever Nyarlathotep had in that dimension was likely feeding on Edric’s magic,” Emira interrupted. She shook. “And I think they’re still hungry.”
Amity’s finger tips were starting to give way. She walked timidly so she could be close enough to grab another bar. Odalia grabbed her. “If those monsters are hungry, you will satiate their hunger!”
The older woman ripped Amity’s hold of the bar and tossed her on the ground. The pressure of the portal grabbed the rim of her shirt to draw her in. Her legs flailed around to catch solid ground.
“Mittens!” the twins shouted.
Odalia observed her daughter’s struggling with indifference and turned to walk away. Black tentacles burst through the portal’s opening and, for some indiscernible reason, bypassed the witch girl and instead grabbed a hold of Odalia’s legs.
“What? Me!?”
It jerked Odalia on the ground, flopping her on her chest. She sunk her long fingernails into the ground. “No, you can’t have me! My bloodline! You cannot do this to me, I am a BLIGHT!!”
But what Odalia did not understand was that there existed beings of unknowable shape and form, some that are older than the universe itself, and they give little thought to the status of the person they are interacting with. The Boiling Isles itself and all the witches within were small specks of dust that the gods would step on without malice but cannot be burdened with our conventional morality.
The tentacles jerked harder on her legs. The once proud matriarch of the Blight family was now reduced to a powerless bully who was begging for her life. Her fingernails scrapped the floor leaving marks in it when the final pull was administered. She shrieked one final time before becoming engulfed by the portal and disappeared. Amity plopped on the ground her heart beating fast.
“Where do you think it sent her?” Edric asked.
“Who knows,” Amity replied. “But now that it’s over, time to get you both out.”
Unbeknownst to them, their mother was ripped from the demon realm and was cast into a dimension outside of space-time, the unfathomable void that the Outer Gods made their domain. It is there where Odalia’s mind would melt from the presence of the gods and she would be an unintelligible mess and the fibre of her being would be shredded for eternity.

I hate this. I hate that I can’t devote all of my time to finding Y/n. I hate that Dean is all caught up in Amara and I hate that Y/n ran away again and I hate that...I kissed her. I kissed her and then she ran away. I hate that I just let her leave. I should have talked to her. I should have apologized for kissing her. I should-
I call her again. She doesn’t answer. Months of not answering. I hate this.
Dean keeps snarking at me about calling her, discouraging me from trying to find her. If he would just shut up and let me! Let me find her, let me bring her home! Let me apologize for being half the reason she left. Well, not half. Dean was more than half. Dean was 90%. Dean was more than that, even, because then there’s the whole thing where he knocked her up! On purpose! And then abandoned her!
Ya know...if she wasn’t a Winchester...if she wasn’t the strongest of us, I’d have been worried she might do something stupid. But she has never been the type to do that stupid thing. She’s the type to run off to get her head straight. She’s the type to come home eventually. She never has been able to stay away from us for too long.
But she seems determined to stay gone this time and all my searching isn’t finding and I hate that Dean was right that I wouldn’t be able to find her. Even when we lose Cas and Dean starts helping me, we still can’t find her. She does have amazing skills. Why don’t we lean on them more often instead of leaning on her emotionally, leaning on her physically?
We are the shittiest brothers ever.
And of course, it’s Chuck that brings her home. I couldn’t find her, again , and a higher power brings her home. Dean starts in on Chuck because of course he needs to air his damn grievances and Y/n only takes issue with Chuck’s qualifications of our misery. She gets up to make herself a drink and I follow her. She looks good, considering the fact that it’s been almost a year since I’ve seen her...and considering she’s upset.
I put my hand on her back to comfort her and, of course, Dean has to put his two cents in about that. “You should keep your hands to yourself,” he says as he sets a beer on the Map Table in front of me and I look up at him. He’s not angry. If it weren’t for Amara, he’d be furious that I touched her. “Y/n. She’s probably not in a good place for that.”
“How would you know?” I snap at him. He hasn’t even talked to her. He sits down next to me and takes a drink of his beer.
“Look, I’m just sayin’, Sam...it’s been a good eleven months or so since you’ve seen her, maybe you should ease into trying to replace me,” he reasons.
Replace him? As what, the brother forcing a baby on her? “I’m not trying to replace you, Dean.” I pick up the beer. “Unlike you, I’m just caring for her.”
“Caring for her doesn’t require touching her at every opportunity,” Dean says, shaking his head. I look at the tabletop and bite the inside of my lip. It's not my fault. I just wanted to comfort her. “We care about each other and we barely touch unless one of us is dying.”
I roll my eyes. It's like he doesn't even realize how upset she was back there. Of course, he doesn't know, does he? The losses that Chuck said were necessary...what he lost and he doesn't even know. "That's...not true, Dean. We touch each other all the time...and Y/n was upset, okay? What Chuck was saying was-"
“Dude, come on, you were feeling her up in your feminist way.” Why does he say that like it’s an insult? “Shut up. Don’t think I forgot you making out with her the night before she left, and I didn’t forget the collar either.” The collar. It took me a while to remember the collar. Guess I’ve been jealous of Dean’s connection with Y/n for a lot longer than we were using her to combat the Mark. I take a drink of my beer and clear my throat.
“Look. For Y/n’s good, she should probably not start anything else with her brother, ya know? Can you imagine how bad things coulda gone if she’d stayed with me?” Yeah, Dean, I can. “She’s better off with someone outside of our family.”
I scoff and shake my head. “What, you’re actually gonna let her be with someone without forcing them out of her life?”
Dean sighs and makes a clicking noise. “Yeah, I deserve that...and I got no good excuse for all the guys I blocked from her, but that’s not what I’m doing here.” He leans back in his chair and looks at me. “Look, we both know that what I did to her is...inexcusable, right? We both know I should never have touched her and it’s sick that I wanted to for so long. Just like we both know it’s sick that you want to.”
How dare he judge me? After everything he did? It doesn’t matter if I want it, I’ve never done anything other than kiss her. Even when I didn’t have a fucking soul, all I did was put a collar on her. He raped her and I might have gotten off on it but-
“It’s the best thing, for both of you, for you to go jack it to some of that porn you think no one knows you have and stop thinking about Y/n.”
I roll my eyes and shake my head. Why does he always bring up me masturbating? “Not everything is about sex, Dean. I’m just trying to be there for her. That’s all.”
“Okay, Sammy,” he says like he doesn’t believe me. “Keep it that way. S’all I’m sayin’.”
There’s a million miles of subtext in that.
But at least she’s back. That’s the important part. The next morning, I go to check on her and talk to her about Grandma Millie. I end up sitting next to her on her bed as she tells me about the postcards that Dad used to send his mom, how he signed them with ‘Johnny’. And then she leans her head against my shoulder. It’s so nice. I missed her so much over the past year. I’m so happy to have her here where I can feel her and smell the roses on her hair.
“I’m tired, Sammy. I haven’t been home a day and I’m exhausted,” she admits.
“Have you talked to Dean?” I ask. Not that talking to him is gonna change anything.
“He said he’s sorry. He doesn’t even know what he’s sorry for.”
Of course not. I didn’t tell him what he needed to be sorry for...and I’m guessing neither has she. “You haven’t told him about the baby, have you?”
“It’s not like he would care,” she snaps.
With Amara still alive that’s probably right, but I say, “You don’t know that,” to make her feel a bit better.
“It’s not...I only...it was really early first trimester, Sam. I couldn’t have been more than six weeks. I...I only took the test right after Charlie’s funeral and...the Stynes…” She clears her throat and pulls away from me to look in my eyes. Her eyes are all watery and sad. “I don’t know why it hurts so much.”
She’s been hurting over this for a year and she’s been beating herself up for how she feels, too? “Because you created life, Y/n, and that was taken from you. It’s allowed to hurt.” I reach out and run the back of my knuckles down her cheek. I just wanna make her feel better. “ You’re allowed to hurt.”
I wanna kiss her, but the thought has barely crossed my mind to start leaning in when she goes stiff and pulls away. “Th-thank you, Sammy.”
I rub my hands together as I stand. Yeah, probably wouldn’t be a good idea. Maybe Dean’s right. Probably Dean’s right. “You know, i-if you need anything, I’m here,” I tell her and she nods so I just leave. It’s a bad idea to try to get close to her right now. It’s a bad idea.
Especially since she seems determined to sacrifice herself. Which, thankfully, she fails at. Every part of our plan to take down the Darkness fails. So we have to come up with another option...which puts Dean on the chopping block. This seems like it’s the...the last time. The end. Especially when Dean kisses Y/n right there in front of Cas, Crowley, and Rowena.
“Sam, Y/n, I’m so sorry,” Cas says as we enter the bunker. “If you want to talk...I’m here if either of you need anything.”
“Hello, hello,” a happy British voice calls out across the War Room. A well-dressed woman slams her hand into a banishing sigil on the wall, sending Cas away. Y/n and I call his name and reach for our pistols but the woman raises a gun before we can. “Don’t. Y/n and Sam Winchester. Toni Bevell,” she introduces. “Men of Letters, London Chapterhouse.” What? There’s still Men of Letters?
“Oh you won’t have heard of me...us. We’re very traditional. Keep out of the way, keep to our studies.”
“You, um…” I look over at Y/n, who looks just as confused as I feel, then look back to the intruder and shake my head. “What?”
“They sent me to take you in.”
“To take us in?” Y/n asks.
“Assuming the world didn’t end, and...yay!” she says. I am not in the mood for this shit.
“Look, lady,” I start, stepping toward her.
“We’ve been watching you, Sam. What you’ve done, the damage you’ve caused...archangels, Leviathans, the Darkness, and now, well...the old men have decided enough’s enough. I mean, let’s face it. You’re just jumped-up hunters playing with things you don’t understand and doing more harm than good.” I almost growl at that. We didn’t ask for the archangels or the Leviathans or the damn Darkness. We didn’t even ask to be hunters. “Now, where’s Dean?” she finishes.
“Dead,” I answer, focusing on my anger so that she doesn’t see the sadness in my face. “Listen, lady, I don’t know who the hell you are or what the hell you want-” I start advancing on her again.
“Stop,” she demands, but I don’t listen.
“Put the gun down,” I snap.
“I said stop,” she reminds me.
“We all know you’re not gonna pull the trigger,” I say, but she does. Y/n screams when the bitch’s gun goes off, bullet impacting my thigh. I hit the floor, Y/n drops next to me to put pressure on me.
“I’m going to retrieve something to use as a tourniquet,” the intruder says to Y/n as she tucks her gun into a holder on her hip. “I assume you wish Sam to survive. Don’t try anything stupid.”
“You bitch,” Y/n growls at her.
“Oh, you’ll be needing a gag too, then.” She starts to walk away as I take deep breaths to keep my pain level down. “Bloody hunters.”
“You’re gonna be okay, Sammy,” Y/n whispers.
I fucking hope so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A cattle prod wakes me up. Y/n and I are bound to wooden chairs, hands cuffed behind our backs, ankles cuffed to the chair legs. I look over at Y/n to make sure she’s in better shape than me before I look around the room. We’re in a storm cellar. Nothing unique in Kansas.
“Be a good boy,” the woman with the cattle prod says as Toni Bevell walks down the stairs.
“You,” I bite out, pulling at my restraints.
She sits down in a chair across the cellar from us and flips open a notebook, taking the cap off of a fancy pen. “Now, Y/n, Sam...let’s begin.”
“Toni Bevell, London Chapterhouse.” Bitch. Stupid British cunt. Broke into my home, shot me, knocked me and my sister out.
“That’s right.”
“So, you’re what. You’re English Men of Letters?” Y/n asks.
“British,” Toni corrects.
“Right. Big distinction,” Y/n says rolling her eyes.
“You would think that you, the smarter Winchesters, would care about that difference.”
“Well, you don’t sound Welsh, so…” Y/n is such a snarky bitch. I love her.
“Where are we?” I ask.
“Does it matter?” she taunts me.
“Just wondering how far we’re gonna have to walk back to town after we kill you,” I answer. I nod at the woman in black who shocked us. “And her. But you first.”
She obviously doesn’t believe we’re gonna murder her. “Yes, well, before you murder us all, we do have a few questions about you, your brother, Hunters in America, and how you saved the sun.”
Really? “Right. You shoot me, kidnap us, but yeah, we’re happy to help,” I say, rolling my eyes.
“I didn’t want to hurt you, Sam. You gave me no choice. And, well, I could say it was never supposed to go this way, but you’re...you . It was always going to go this way.”
“And you know me?” I snap.
“We do,” she confirms. “We’ve been watching you and the twins for years. Ever since you almost ended the world the first time. We knew all about Lucifer, the angels falling, the Mark of Cain and its various...side effects.” I look over at Y/n, who looks so embarrassed. Fuck Toni for making Y/n feel like that.
“Then where were you?” Y/n asks.
“Fair question. See, some of us wanted to get involved but the old men wouldn’t allow it. Thought we were overstepping our bounds. After all of this business with the Darkness, even they have to agree...things need to change. And while you might not believe this, Winchesters, we’re here to help.”
Of course they are. “Yeah, no. I-I can tell,” I say sarcastically.
“I want to apologize for locking you up. You’re dangerous--to others and yourselves--but if you answer my questions, you both walk right out that door. I promise.”
I look over at Y/n. I wanna resist, but based on what I know of these assholes, they’re going to hurt us. I don’t want to fight back if Y/n isn’t up to the pain. But she’s the strongest of us. She tells me with a look that she understands and agrees that we’ll get through whatever they throw at us together. “Pass,” I answer for us.
“Sam,” Toni scolds me. She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with.
“You can ask me any kind of question you want. The answer’s gonna be the exact same: Screw you. You wanna get mad? You wanna get mean? I’ve been tortured by the Devil himself. So you? You’re just an accent in a pantsuit. What can you do to me?” I see Y/n gawking at me from the corner of my eye. She looks impressed...and maybe a little turned on.
“And what about your sister?” Toni asks, capping her pen. “Dear Y/n here hasn’t ever been to Hell. Her only interactions with Lucifer and the archangels has been tangential. She’s never been ‘tortured by the Devil himself’. Do you think she could handle it?”
“Screw. You,” Y/n says with all the spite and confidence of a Winchester. Damn, that’s sexy. The woman in black turns on a cold tap and water starts raining down on us. “I can handle anything you throw at us.”
“A cold shower? That’s your play?” I scoff and shake the water from my hair. We start shaking but we don’t complain. We don’t say anything except, “Screw you.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wake up on the floor, out of my restraints. My burned feet are wrapped. My whole body hurts. I’ve taken a beating...and so has Y/n. I’m proud of how much pain she stood up to. When I see her on the floor on the opposite side of her chair, fear that she’s succumbed to the pain overwhelms me. I just lost Dean. I can’t lose her too. I shake her, call her name, check her pulse. She’s alive, but her breathing is shallow. I need her to wake up.
“Y/n. Y/n, you need to wake up,” I whisper desperately, grasping at her face.
“Um ah-righ,” she slurs and I let out a sigh of relief. She’s not out of the woods until she opens her eyes.
“Hey, hey! I can’t lose you too!” I shake her slightly.
“You’re really loud,” she mumbles, a little clearer, but still not awake.
“Yeah. Yeah, I know but you need to wake up.”
Her eyelids flutter over her gorgeous green eyes for a moment before they slide up and she focuses on me. “I tol’ you I’m okay, Sammy,” she says, trying to sit up. I help her and look over her. “Why aren’t we tied up?”
Good question. “We passed out, both ended up on the floor.” I point at the camera on the ceiling in the corner. “They’re watching us from that camera. I’m not sure the game here, but they definitely shouldn’t have-” My eyes go wide as she her whole body goes stiff and she screams like she did when they took the torch to her toes. “Whoa! W-what, what happened?”
“I-I don’t-” She shakes her head, looking up at me with panic in her eyes. “It’s-” Her next scream cuts off her words and she clamps it down but then she just starts whimpering. “It’s like I’m on fire, inside is on fire.”
I start looking her over. A hex bag, a sigil, something that’s causing this pain...a needle mark? I pull her hair off of her shoulder and run my fingertips over a pissed-off mark on her shoulder. “Needle mark. She injected you with something.”
“T-they...they’re trying to break you by b-breaking mmme…” She’s probably right, but I know she won’t break. “I’m the softer target.”
I shake my head and look down at her. She’s not soft. “Nah. You aren’t...you’re strong and...you can-”
She lets out a disbelieving breath. “Only time I’ve been tortured is when Gordon had me, and that--that wasn’t…” She whines and scrunches her face up. Gordon tortured her because of me. Toni’s torturing her because of me. “Hng...that was nothing.”
“You’re not gonna break, Y/n. You’re a Winchester.” Dean did thirty years worth of Hell torture before he broke. I...don’t even know how long Lucifer had me. She can do this.
“I’ve always been the weak-” she starts and I can’t hear her talking about herself like that so I lay her back on the floor and look down into her eyes.
“Not weak. Sensitive, beautiful, amazing.” Perfect. Gorgeous. Sexy. Fuck, how can she look so sexy after a night of torture and days of emotional bullshit and mourning? I look down her body, her perfect, curvy body. I’m fucked in the head, but...I want her. We might die here and I want her. Just once. “Just gotta distract you from the pain, sis,” I whisper as I pull her shirt up. Get her through this until whatever they hit her with wears off. I’m drawn to the burn marks on her abs from the cattle prod and I run my fingers over them. “Gonna make it better...and then we’re gonna make London Chapterhouse pay.”
“Sam, w-what are-” she starts, but I can’t let her talk me outta this. I have to taste her just this once. I lean down and kiss her burn and she gasps. I’ve heard her make that noise for Dean. I wanna make her make all the noises I’ve heard her make for Dean. I pull her shirt up over her bra and start mouthing at her boobs, wetting her bra, but I don’t care because her nipples are poking through the cotton. “Sam,” she whines, and holy shit, my name has never sounded so good.
“I love how my name sounds on your lips. Can’t wait to hear you scream it,” I admit, grinding my dick against her pussy. She grabs my shoulders like she’s trying to hold on for dear life. “Fuck, I’ve dreamed of this. Was so jealous of Dean.”
I start licking at her neck, the column of her throat. I use a little bit of teeth because I wanna mark her as mine. Just this once. She’s breathing heavy and it’s amazing. “I...Sam, please,” she begs as I pop the button on her jeans. She’s begging me. Fuck.
“So fuckin’ needy, sis. Gonna be too easy to get you off when you’re already begging for it.” I slide my hand into her jeans and rub at her clit. She cries out in pain and pleasure and I try to balance it a little more toward pleasure by rubbing a little harder and ramping up the dirty talk. “You’re so fuckin’ wet, Y/n. Soaking your panties. That all for me?”
“Sam…” she whines and that’s still the best thing I’ve ever heard.
“Don’t worry. Gonna take care of you,” I promise, pulling her pants and underwear down and off of her left leg so I can spread her thighs and hook her knees over my shoulders. I kiss my way up her inner thigh. I wanna go slow, but I’m so fucking eager and scared that the British Men of Letters might stop me. I kiss her pussy and her taste coats my lips. She tastes amazing. No wonder Dean couldn’t help but eat her out at inappropriate times. “Taste so fuckin’ good.”
“Fuck, Sam, please,” she begs and how can I say ‘no’? I start licking her lips and sliding my tongue into her slit, slurping at her delicious juices and listening to her gasps and moans. When she twists her fingers in my hair, I fuck my tongue into her pussy. She starts squirming and I put my hands on her stomach to hold her in place. “Sam, I need to--Sam, please, I need to cum, please, please, plea-” I make her scream when I move my mouth to suck her clit into my mouth.
The noise she makes is just...the best fucking thing ever, and I am hard as stone and I need to fuck her, now. I lean back and start undressing as I lick at her taste on my lips and chin. “Think they’re still watching? Huh?” I ask as I carefully pull my pants down. Her eyes go a bit wide when she sees my cock. “Or do you think they averted their proper English, sorry, British eyes when the video stream became incest porn?”
She tears her eyes away from my dick to the camera in the corner. Maybe I shouldn’t have reminded her that it was there. “Uh, I...I don’t-”
“I hope they’re still watching,” I say, carefully laying my body over hers. “Want them to see you cum all over my cock.” Her jaw drops at that. She doesn’t know just how dirty I can be. She’s gonna see before we’re done here. I lean down to kiss her, sliding the head of my cock to her entrance. She whimpers as another wave of fire hits her and I start pushing into her, French kissing her as I slowly get into her.
I’m big. Bigger than Dean, I know that much, almost certainly bigger than Jesse. I’m probably the biggest she’s ever taken, so I know that I have to go slow. But my big fucking dick is definitely distracting her...and that’s why I started this, right? I wanted to get her through this pain, but there’s no reason we can’t enjoy ourselves.
We’re kissing each other, hands buried in each other’s hair, as we wait for her to adjust. It always takes women a few minutes to get used to me...but eventually, I gotta move and when I do? When I start rolling my hips, rocking against her...I’ve never felt anything like it. I drop my head to her shoulder and take deep breaths. “Fuck, Y/n. I’ve wanted this for so fucking long. Since Dean was in Purgatory.” Since she was watching over me in Kermit. Since I was dreaming of fucking her with that collar on. “Used to fuck Amelia, picturing you,” I say as I start thrusting into her. I pick up speed a bit faster than I normally would but I’m so eager.
She grabs at my shoulders, fingernails digging in and I groan. “Sam! Fuck! Slow d-down,” she begs. Too fast, I guess.
I slow a bit, looking into her eyes as I fuck her. She’s got the most amazing body. “God, you feel so fucking amazing, Y/n. You’re squeezing my cock so good. I’m gonna fucking cum.” I grab her breast and tweak her nipple, loving the way it makes her clench around me. She’s exactly what I imagined she’d be. Perfect. “You gonna cum for me, sis? I wanna see your face. I’ve heard you cum so many times, I wanna see. I wanna feel it.”
I reach between us and rub my thumb over her clit and her nails dig in more as she whines, “Sammy.” Her body goes stiff as I start fucking her harder. She’s so fucking close. I’m gonna get to make her cum. “Fuckfuckfuck,” she rambles as her eyes roll back and her jaw drops a bit. Her breath catches on her orgasm and so does mine. I’ve never seen her look so beautiful, so blissful and heavenly.
“So beautiful,” I whisper. I kiss her again as my own orgasm approaches, pain shooting through me as my burned toes curl. I grunt into her mouth as I fill her with cum, gasping in a breath as my head goes woozy. That was everything I thought it was gonna be. Holy shit. I kiss her neck and jawline as I pull out of her. She hasn’t whimpered in a few minutes. “How’s the pain?”
“Better,” she says, stretching her neck a bit. “I think...whatever they injected me with, it’s wearing off.”
I lean away from her, get up on my forearm. I laugh as I look down at her red cheeks and sweaty forehead. “Or maybe I fucked it out of you.” I smirk as I pull her shirt down.
“Yeah. Maybe. My spirits are higher in the very least,” she says sitting up. She smiles at me for a minute before a sadness takes her eyes. “We’re gonna get out of this, right? That wasn’t a ‘Last Night on’-”
“No,” I cut her off as we start getting dressed. Her abandonment issues are huge. “That was a first of many. Next time, it’ll be better. Neither of us will be in pain.”
She shrugs and stands and I’m kinda proud of the way her legs are shaking. “Maybe a little bit of pain isn’t too bad.”
Dean was right? She likes pain. That means I don’t have to hold back with her. Perfect. She’s so fucking perfect. I smile at her. “You’re a little freaky, aren’t you?”
“Says the exhibitionist who just came inside his big sister,” she snaps back.
I chuckle. “Got me there.” It’s hot that she’s got my cum dripping out of her right now. “Let’s see if we can get outta here, huh?” She nods and we start looking around the cellar for weapons and a way out.

Apart two for my playlist
16. Baby by Relient K
Reason: It’s a short and sweet song. I love the idea that Tom in Muse and Unimatrix is just slashing around and then at the very end when B’Elanna returns to voyager, he’s at peace.
17. I will follow you into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie
Reason: I mean this is Barg of the Dead song, I know if you watch the episode it’s so dramatic, but if you take out all of the music and place this song in whenever Tom is with her it’s just Awe🥺
18. Absolutely (story of a girl) by Nine Days
Reason: this one is for my ‘I watched Voyager back when it aired!’ People. To you older fans yes this is their song.
19. Hostage by Billie Eilish
Reason: I don’t know why, but I feel like this the Blood Fever song for B’Elanna. The song brings out some kind of eerily cold vulnerable vibe to it which when watching Tom and B’Elanna in that cave brings.
20. River by Bishop Briggs
Reason: this is their song to bone it out. It’s loud, demanding and aggressive. NEED I SAY MORE.
21. Silhouettes by Of Monsters and Men
Reason: Honestly I thought long and hard of a lot of different scenes and episodes for this song but... I love the story Manifest by @caseyptah fit this song perfectly.
22. Forest fire by Brighton
Reason: Ok so listen to the first verse of the song and not imagine the episode Lineage.
23. Neptune by Sleeping At Last
Reason: the song just screams Thirty days. Tom writing to his dad, feeling abandon by his captain, being demoted. I mean beside the fact that both this song and the episode being such an aquatice stormy vide is *chef kiss* perfect.
24. Stars by The XX
Reason: The song is the beginning of Revulsion and end of scientific methods combined. Like this is fresh Tom and B’Elanna, nervous Tom and B’Elanna, this is first date and ready to put everything at the table Tom and B’Elanna.
25.Fast Blood by Frightened Rabbit
Reason: Tom’s Blood Fever song. It’s fast and feels like the world is spinning at warp speed. I could honestly see the guitar riff of this song happening when Tom and B’Elanna first kiss.
26. Line without a Hook by Ricky Montgomery
Reason: it’s a catchy song. I always think of that scene when Tom catches B’Elanna reading that book in the messhall when I hear She’s a lady and I am just a boy... another awe 🥺 moment for me
27. Me and My Husband by Mitski
Reason: It seems like this is the song of what B’Elanna felt about her and Tom’s relationship from Alice to Drive.
28. Stop the world, I Wanna Get off With you by Arctic Monkeys
Reason: this is the music that Tom listen to whenever he goes down to visit B’Elanna pre-day of honor. This is determine cocky Tom Paris
29. Sleeping thru Ur Alarm by Lontalius
Reason: this short sweet song is the kind of song that I would listen to when watching Extreme Risk... the beat is like a heart beat and music reminds me of when the episode music to me.
30. the fruits by Paris Paloma
Reason: this song is made out of bitterness, grit, and disobedience. Which is a perfect B’elanna love song towards Tom. If anyone wants to make a video with this song please highlight Juggernaut and Barge of the dead.

______________ Donny and Utivich were sent out to an isolated town, while the rest of the basterds finished up a mission a miles and miles south of there. They'd meet back up a few nights later, in their hideout in the woods. Meanwhile, Donny and Utivich were tasked with finding a new troop assigned to the basterds by the OSS. The only problem was they didn't know your name, rank, or what you looked like. All they knew was that you were a marine in the Pacific at some point. "You think that's her?" Donny narrowed his eyes, looking in the direction where Utivich had (tried to) discreetly gesture toward. "Are you pointing at the lady with the baby?" "Wh-" Utivich then realized the likelihood of that lady being their contact, and turned red as he stammered, "N-no... They wandered around the town, trying their best not to get any unwanted attention. After a while, Donny started grumbling, "Well no one fucken told us who the hell we're looking for!" "What about her?"
Donny glanced up, and it took him a moment after he smirked to nod, "Yeah she's cute." "No...I meant...do you think that's her?" "Oh! Well..." His hand rested on the back of his neck, as he cleared his throat, "Sure, sure...uh..." He noted the way you stood by an old tavern, newspaper in hand, appearing innocent to the untrained eye.   "The kid stands like a goddamn marine." "Donny, wait!" Donny walked past you slowly, almost unnoticeably glancing toward you. Your eyes scanned over the newspaper, beneath the brim of your hat. You acknowledged the newcomers with a slight, almost imperceptible nod, and remarked beneath your breath, "I've been compromised. Don't follow." Donny stalled for a moment. "Leave. Now. I'll catch up." You spoke through gritted teeth, hidden behind the newspaper. Donny went ahead without a word, understanding the implications of associating with a compromised spy. He pulled Utivich along without explaining anything. They turned a corner, and Donny glanced back one last time, seeing if he could spot anything. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a nazi staring at you, and approaching, barking something in broken French and intermittent German. Your stone-cold narrowed eyes, and defiant, fearless face remained unbothered as you slowly lowered your newspaper, seemingly annoyed by the nazi's interruption. That alone told Donny you knew exactly what you were doing. But, night came, and morning passed. There was no sign of you at all. "Donny..." That was the first thing Utivich said since then. Of course, he was usually a quiet, composed kind of guy. Sarcastic and witty whenever needed, but only when he had something to say. He didn't now. He just hated the unsettling silence. Even more so, since Donny hadn't said anything either, which was even  more unsettling. Donny looked up, but what could really be said? If something had happened to you, then...another good, young life was meaninglessly lost in an seemingly endless war. And if something hadn't happened to you, then it was certainly coming, and Donny wasn't prepared to let that happen. Why? Well... in that infinitesimal instant that he glanced at you, he looked into your eyes, and he saw so much life. Something unexplicably cheerful, even in the face of the worst the world had to offer. A smug, determined intent to fight, to love, to go on. Something Donny only saw in the eyes of the innocent, and the brave. Somehow, you seemed to be both, all at once. He turned back, marching  toward the distant village. "Where are you going?" "I'm not goin' back to camp without that troop." "But-" "We're finding her Smitty. Dead or alive." As they'd soon find out, those were the terms and conditions given to the nazis that were hunting you. Donny was so hung up in finding you, he and Smitty were caught. They were tied up, and thrown beside you, in a line on a ledge overlooking a swift, lashing river, facing a nazi patrol in the forest. "I told you not to follow." You sounded more disappointed than angry, which struck Donny, though he didn't dare look at you. Smitty turned, "We didn't." You turned to look at his sergeant, "I could've handled this." "But you didn't," he quipped. "You got a problem with me, sergeant?" You challenged him, with a slight smirk he couldn't really resist. One of the nazis that had captured you had just about enough. The orders on finding the basterds were to keep them alive, and bring them in for interrogations and of course, torture. Orders for finding a common nuisance  believed to be an informant were as follows: dead or alive. So, the nazis had some leeway when it came to your fate...so they thought at first. Though, they did need at least some kind of answers. The nazi  noticed a silver chain around your neck. He reached, and frowned when he realized what he'd pulled out of your shirt was a dog tag.  Seething, he remarked, "Y/n L/n." He narrowed his eyes at your name, then spat at you. In his foul ignorance, he confused you with a Spaniard, he accused you of being a traitor to the axis. He strung together what little Spanish he could from dealings between Germany and Spain, "Traidora. Eres una española," (which was completely wrong) he swung and struck you in the jaw. Donny pulled against the ropes used to tie him and Utivich up, "HEY!" You looked up at the nazi, as two more dragged you back to your feet. Blood dripped down your nose, and out the corner of your mouth. You spat right back at him, staining his face and uniform with your blood. "I am not a Spaniard." You held your head up high, proud of who you were, who your parents were, and their parents. You muttered under your breath, glaring right at him with eyes that would scare just about any nazi, "Hijo de puta."
You stood strong, resilient, looking him in the empty, hateful voids he called eyes. The nazi glared right back, though a shadow of panic and fear loomed behind his shallow blue eyes, as he stammered to find words, and hid his fear in German curses and mumbles. The nazi was ready to attack you again, but Utivich and Donny started to put up a fight. When some of the nazis threatened to kill them, the nazi's colonel finally emerged from his tent, ordering his men to stand down. "Wir sollen die Basterds lebendig machen." 'We're to bring the basterds in alive.' The nazi that had attempted to torment you turned harshly to his colonel, demanding to know "Und das Mädchen?" 'And the girl?' His colonel tossed a gun at him, nonchalantly commenting with a disinterested shrug and sigh,  "Werde sie los." 'Get rid of her.' Donny turned between you and Utivich, "What's happening?! What the fuck's happening?!" You understood what was happening, but telling Donny would only put him in more danger. Besides, you could see the sheer emotion in his eyes. He wasn't scared for himself, he was scared for you, and you knew it. You stood silent, and glared ahead at the mob of nazis, right at your dim fate. Donny could tell from just that look. A resigned, brave soldier? It was something he was all too uncomfortably familiar with. He and Utivich lurched forward, in spite of the ropes,  toward the nazis, "COWARDS! YOU FUCKING COWARDS-"
While everyone was distracted trying to control Donny, they all stopped and turned, hearing the rushing river splash unusually loudly. You were gone.   The nazis rushed to the edge of the ledge, and peered toward the river below. The colonel looked at the other nazis, shouting, "STEHEN SIE NICHT NUR DORT. OFFENES FEUER." 'DON'T JUST STAND THERE. OPEN FIRE.' Each of them rushed over to the end of the ledge, and started to fire into the murky rapids. After a seemingly endless torrent of bullets...there was nothing. No body floating, no cloud of red in the water. The colonel turned, snatched the dog tag from the soil, and read the name. His heart dropped to the pit of his stomach,  as his eyes went wide with rage, "IHR IDIOTEN." 'YOU IDIOTS.' Utivich turned to Donny with a bloodied smirk, "Well I understood that." The colonel's commanding officer wanted you brought in for questioning. In fact, so did everyone in the German army who was someone. You were a ghost story in the Matanikau River, when you were still stationed in the Pacific. When you emerged in the European theater...well...all of Berlin was sacked, and all of Paris was turned upside in an effort to find you.
"Find. Her." The nazis wasted no time, they all knew that he'd show them no mercy. The nazi that had been responsible for the confusion...well, he begged, shaking in his boots. One shot to the forehead was all it took to quiet him down. His colonel kicked his body to the side. He stayed behind, sitting by a fire, as the sun set, watching Donny and Utivich intently. Eventually, he began to noticeably shift around, constantly checking his watch. He wasn't used to being kept waiting... None of his men came back. All the while, Donny taunted him, meaning time went by a thousand percent more slowly. He reminded the nazi who the fuck the basterds were, telling him it wouldn't be long before Aldo the Apache was coming down the hills. Donny swore it wouldn't be long before Hugo Stiglitz got his hands on the nazis. It wouldn't be long before... He detailed how he and the basterds had quite literally ripped local nazis to shreds. He even gave names. Names that colonel definitely knew. He screamed for Donny to shut up, barely able to control his murderous impulses, even knowing high command wanted Donny and Utivich, or any basterd for that matter, be taken in alive as a trophy, and for information. He really couldn't do much more than beat Donny up, and Utivich for good measure. But at the end of the day, the only one that was terrified was the nazi, and each second seemed to be slower than the last, while Donny and Utivich looked at him smugly. Eventually, around midnight, after hours and hours, and after Utivich was sure there was no way out, he hung his head down again. Just then he heard an agonizing, almost sobbing, gargling sound coming from the now calmer river. The remaining nazi stood up, his gun trained on the basterds, as he marched cautiously toward the river bank, every few steps, looking back at Donny and Utivich making sure they hadn't moved. "Give it up, kraut. Your boys're no match for ours." Donny taunted him again. The unmistakable sound of a muffled scream, and a knife made both Donny and Utivich turn toward the river. It wasn't exactly who they were expecting. You were standing there, dripping from the river, your clothes soaked in cold water and stained blood. "You're alive?!" Donny's voice was happier and more relieved than he intended to let on, as you cut them free, "Yes, sir." "How'd...how'd you do that?!" Utivich looked at you with star-struck eyes. "I'm a marine," you winked with a smile. "Marine, huh." Donny twisted his hands around his aching wrists, trying to relieve the soreness from being tied up so long. "Lance Corporal Y/n L/n, at your service, sir." You saluted him. "Nice to meet'cha kid," He smiled, genuinely, though his soft glance had to be cut short by the realization that you were all still in the middle of a war, and possibly a man-hunt. "And nice of you to salute and all, but we better get movin'." You nodded, and tossed something at him, catching the light of the moon in a fleeting silver glint. "What's this?"
"Their colonel's dogtag." You eyed the ones that Donny kept around his neck as trophies, "I see you got a collection going there." Donny smiled, as his heart skipped a beat. You'd fit right in with the basterds...
Your first mission with the basterds was not quite what anyone would expect, but then again, neither were you. For an impromptu rescue, it wasn't too bad. ************* All three of you sat kilometers away, a few hours later, still under the guise of the dark night, by a small fire, attempting to remain hidden, though all of you were freezing cold, especially you. Donny gave you his coat, and Utivich gave you his hat, trying to keep you from catching anything. "Heard ya made a mess of Berlin and Paris." You glanced up at him cheekily, "They sent me to you for a reason, sir."
"Call me Donny," he smiled warmly, between the steely moonlight, and the golden embers of the fire. Utivich asked, "So...you heard of us, but how come we ain't heard of you..." "Some of us are good at making things look like an accident," you teased him a little, and Utivich laughed.   Donny turned a little red, and nodded subtly, damning himself for seeing the stars adorning your hair, and the night sky in your eyes. His heart was pounding, and he didn't even try to deny why. Who would, when they saw you the way he did? You were all silent for a few moments, then Donny asked you what he asked any of the other basterds when they first met. "So, uh...why'd ya enlist?" You were quiet for another moment, then looked back at Donny. Your eyes seemed tired. Not from the long day, or even from the impressive tactics... Tired from memories, doomed to be repeated, as you sighed, "You ever see those signs?" "What signs?" He raised his eyebrow, then glanced at Utivich, who seemed equally as puzzled. "The ones in nice stores and parks and schools. Places like that. The signs that go 'no dogs, no black people, no mexicans allowed.' Doesn't even matter if you're Guatemalan, Dominican, Bolivian or Argentine, anything...They don't give a fuck. Those signs." Utivich looked at you, his heart was heavy as he nodded quietly. He was from a particularly open, urban place in the west...and even then he'd seen things like that. Things he didn't want to see when he went back home... He knew what it was like to have people hate you for what you were... Your name, your language, your family. Most of the basterds knew. Aldo and Hugo may not have known first-hand, but they'd be damned if they let anyone get away with that sort of bullshit while they were around. Donny's heart sank a little, as he murmured, "Fuck a duck..." He looked up at you, nodding slowly, "Yeah I've seen those." "Yeah, well I didn't see those in any bases. The one chance I got at being treated like a human,  and it's gotta be when I don't know if there's a tomorrow. Get it?" His heart broke, in a way he didn't see coming. He shook his head, and you sighed as you shifted a little closer to the dying fire, "Anyway, this fucking war's been on for what, three years, now? I wanna end this before my kid brother has to. Guess that's another reason right there." Donny understood that too. He had nothing more to say other than what was on his mind. "You're a good kid, Y/n..." "Thanks," You glanced up at him. And for a moment...a moment he would've missed if he'd blinked...you didn't have that trademark bold, striking look in your eyes. For a moment, you glanced away, shyly, with a small, quiet, innocent smile. Utivich noticed. He looked at Donny with a smirk, but said nothing. He knew to leave well enough alone.... "Ya know, I got a kid brother too. His name's Mikey."
You smiled softly, and pulled out a locket, tightly wrapped around your finger. You didn't open it, but you let it dangle a little, "Carlos." Donny chuckled, "Smitty there is the kid brother. At home, and at camp." "So that's how it's gonna be, Donny?" Utivich tilted his head with a laugh. You chuckled, "And how's that working out for you, Utivich?" He shrugged a little, though he was clearly amused, "Great. So far...I've only gotten one purple heart, which may be the lowest out of all the basterds....But my mom's still going to kill me when I get home." "Why?" "I enlisted, see? Didn't get drafted." He smiled at you. He was, as you'd soon learn, a real sweet, honest guy. Sometimes you wondered how a guy like that even made it into a team like the basterds... But then you'd see him in the battlefield, or getting a few scalps, and you'd remember why.  "My sisters tried to talk me out of it. My older brother couldn't enlist because he's got asthma. He just married too, so it would be real upsetting... Anyway... What can I say...Of course they didn't want me to go, I'm my mom's  youngest kid." "A baby," Donny remarked, which Utivich ignored. "They wanted me to go to college, but honestly? I don't regret a damn thing, Y/n." You smiled, understanding that need to be free to choose. Soon after, you all decided to was best to put the fire out, for fear of the smoke giving away your place. You were sure they were asleep. You shivered, still damp from the river. You were wide awake, your arms wrapped around yourself, watching as your breath turned into a cloud before your eyes. You sneezed softly. "Hey..." You heard a voice, warm, and quiet. Donny wrapped his arms around you, and you instantly sank into his chest. He smiled a little, speaking quietly so Utivich wouldn't wake up. "Can't have ya getting sick on us now, can we, kid?" You didn't protest much, as you couldn't remember the last time you were so tired. So Donny smiled sleepily, and held you tightly as he fell asleep. (He may like being big spoon but who knows ;) ) He couldn't tell you how panicked, and lost he felt when you disappeared on them for those long hours....But he'd tell you that some other day. Some day, when you were far away fom there. When you were safe...
******* You all arrived at the hideout finally, extraordinarily late, even for Donny. After you were introduced to the legendary basterds, Aldo took you aside for a little talk. He asked you what happened out there. You were days late, after all. Being a spy, you naturally spun a tale so convincing, it damn near worked,  as a way to cover for the boys' little mishap, and to save face for them. Frankly, Aldo just nodded, saying it was fair enough, and let you on your way. He then joined Donny and Smitty, who were both looking for something to kill their headaches with (of course after being punched that many times in the face, it was understandable). "I know Y/N's coverin' for you both." Utivich, slightly startled, turned around with a jump and panicked. "What? We didn't tell her to do that, we-"
Aldo didn't care for explanations, "Now, I don't give no goddamns, but if I didn't know any better, I'd think she was tellin' the truth." He chuckled a little, "But, I know you two are some damn trouble makers." Utivich nodded, and sighed, "Ok, you got us." Donny turned slowly to Utivich, and narrowed his eyes, "Snitch." Aldo shrugged, "And anyway...even if her story did check out, it don't explain to me why and how you got yourself a black eye, Donowitz. And why my boy Utivich here's got his lip busted open, does it." "Aldo..." Aldo sighed, "That kid's let the boys in her old teams take all the credit in public. But here, well, she gon' make one hell of a basterd, ain't that right Donny." He winked, and smirked. Donny sighed, "That obvious, huh?" There was no use in denying it anyway. It would only be a matter of time before the basterds started to notice the way Donny looked at you. Aldo shrugged, as he tossed  a bottle of pain killers at Utivich, "Just a lucky guess, son." He started to make his way out, but turned around for another minute, "Oh, and Donny?" "Yeah?" "Go on, you fucken basterd." Aldo shook his head, grinning. Donny smiled, as he walked out, and made his way over to you. Somehow, you made him feel a way he never felt before for anyone. When you were around, Donny was calm. He'd never admit it...but after what happened the day you met...he felt safe when you were near. Maybe your reputation preceded you... Maybe that was all...
But then again, when Donny talked to you, he wasn't as loud as he normally was. When he looked at you, and walked toward you, he didn't try to make himself look and act the like biggest, baddest basterd around. He didn't need to. When you were around, he knew he didn't have to worry. He knew he'd somehow make it home. When you were around, the question was no longer dead or alive... When you were around, and he saw that smile, and those eyes, he knew he'd be alright. Who the hell wouldn't, when they had you?

*********
A lengthy drabble I came up with that is somewhat inspired by season 8 episode 6 of Game of Thrones (my sister was watching it in my room). When Drogon destroys the Iron Throne.
NOTE: This has nothing to do with my New Dawn series. That series has a somewhat happy ending.
Warnings: Death of Kate Winchester (OC) and Archangel Gabriel. Angst. Orphan child?.
________
A very powerful, and dangerous Lilith has successfully killed Kate Winchester, her true vessel.
Too late to save her mother, and put an end to Lilith once and for all. Daenerys mourns the death of her mother.
Not wanting to leave her side, crying into her shoulder. Blood streaming out of her mouth, and down her cheek. A knife lodged into her abdomen.
Kate had been wanting to kill Lilith for a long time now, no matter what, and it cost her, her life.
Daenerys’ aggressive screaming, sobs muffled as she cries into her jacket. Holding her mother close to her.
The sound of wings flutter behind her.
Castiel approaches her, placing his hand on her shoulder.
"Daenerys" he says in his monotone voice.
She looks up at him, her eyes red and watery. In so much pain.
"You need to stop Lilith, and get to Gabriel before anything else happens" he tells her.
She looks down at her mother’s lifeless pale, and cold body. Dead weight.
"I'll take her back to the compound. Stop Lilith, and put an end to her" he tells her.
She slowly stands up, and faces Castiel. She takes one last look at her mother before taking off in a full sprint to where Gabriel is.
*****
Upon arrival to Joseph’s sanctuary, Daenerys is too late. Lilith had already killed Gabriel. Draining him of his grace, weakening and killing him.
She falls to her knees, sobbing aggressively at the sight of him laying lifeless on the ground.
“No, no!!!!!” she cries out.
The astral projection imprint of his wings branded into the ground.
She crawls to him, his eyes that were once the whiskey color are now pale, white, and lifeless.
The death of her mother pushed her to her breaking point, but the death of her father drove her mad. Every living cell, and orifice in her body is boiling. Adrenaline burning inside of her.
Crying into his chest, holding his cold, dead hand.
“Please wake up” she cries into his chest.
The sound of an orb whirring followed by a bright red light on the stone wall of the sanctuary.
The Sigil of Lilith. So powerful, and dangerous that not even the power of God could destroy it, that’s if he actually put in an effort into showing himself the coward.
Unknown to her, Daenerys had inherited the powers of Gabriel.
Feeding off his essence and she didn’t even know. He had given her his power because he knew she was worthy enough to carry on as a new Archangel, taking his place.
That’s if she wanted to.
She feels the power run through her veins, boiling in her blood.
She stands up, and takes a closer look at the sigil. Glowing, flashing red. Her family being taken away from her. She’s just a child, she’s only 14 years old. She shouldn’t be going through this type of pain.
As she’s looking at the sigil, the demon herself appears behind her.
“Well, well, well” Lilith says, “Look what we have here”.
She lets out a soft chuckle, and looks over at the lifeless Archangel.
Clicking her tongue, “Poor Gabriel. He didn’t stand a chance, even with the very little powers he had. He couldn’t protect his little human wife, or his bastard human child”.
Daenerys with her back still to Lilith, she feels her insides shaking with rage. Blood boiling. Burning. Wrath building up.
Hearing her own heartbeat in her head, her eyes dilating going from her baby blues to pitch black.
Her fists clenched, she lowers head, and closes her eyes.
The stone walls of the sanctuary start to shake violently. Little pieces of rubble fall, the ground shaking a bit.
Lilith looks around at the shaking walls in unamusement, and chuckles at the human with basic powers that are no match for her.
Not knowing that Dany had inherited Gabriel’s Archangel powers, her mother’s psychic, and telepathic powers. Her Eleven from Stranger Things powers mixed with Archangel grace.
“Really?. That’s all you got?!?” she says, “Come on Dany. Use your powers” she chuckles.
Daenerys’ eyes glow white, just like her Archangel fathers. Her back still to the demon, staring at the red sigil.
She mutters, angrily “You’ve taken everything from me”.
Lilith rolls her eyes and scoffs.
She can feel the grace, the power, the essence of her father’s body radiate off of him, and it runs through her veins.
Eyes still glowing, fists clenched, shaking violently.
“Now I’m taking everything from you” she mutters.
She lets out a loud inhumane, painful scream that shakes the entire sanctuary. Causing trees, and boulders to break and fall. Shaking the waters, causing a small tsunami in the rivers below.
With her arms raised out, she destroys the Sigil of Lilith.
Breaking the foundation, destroying the walls where the sigil is on.
“What are you doing?!?!” she yells out, falling to the ground.
Feeling weak, being drained of her powers. Unable to stop the lower class, abomination of a Nephilim.
Killing the demon that killed her parents, making her feel the pain she felt.
Daenerys destroys the walls, breaking them all down. Breaking the Sigil into pieces.
Lilith looks at her hands, and slowly disintegrates into dust. Daenerys turns around to face the demon, looks her in the eye, and finishes her off.
The astral projection of her father’s wings behind her, eyes glowing.
Snapping her fingers, she turns Lilith into ashe, disappearing as it falls to the ground.
She turns to Gabriel, kneeling over his dead body, taking his hand, and she teleports the both of them back to the compound.
