I'm yelling and giggling over the contrasting ways in which both Loustat expressed their jealousy over the other being involved with someone else. Louis immediately chose violence and wanted Antoinette to be burnt to a crisp and was very much offended when he realised it was indeed not her in the incinerator (despite his stance on thou shalt not kill™️) vs Lestat's intricate spy mission, suggestion of a date night to keep the romance alive, picking up a hoard of men for an orgy and then when all else failed collapsing face down on the floor sobbing like a wet kitten announcing he was extremely jealous his husband was in such demand and he couldn't handle it.

I find it especially delicious because Lestat assumed Louis would be sat at home reading a book whilst he was out fucking and excuse you sir... have you seen him? my man didn't even have to try... they come to him 😌

Vampire Hunter Steampunk Story-Victorian Era? 👀

so, the funny thing about this one is that, in its current state, absolutely *nothing* in the title is accurate anymore. except the steampunk part, that's still accurate.

the other funny thing is that whilst i was typing out my answer to this, i had an Idea, and so now everything I was going to say has changed!!!! (except the title being mostly inaccurate. that's still the same)

the loose plot is that you've got these two people, Alexandrina (Alex) [LASTNAME] and Asa Tyler, and they're friends, and Alex is an investigative reporter type person, and Asa is some sort of artist (?) type person, and Alex is investigating/reporting on a thing (yet to be determined), as one does, and there is A Mystery (yet to be determined). Because Alex is extremely curious and also somewhat stubborn, she intends to solve this mystery, or at least follow it. Because she is his best friend (and he's also curious), Asa is going to help.

Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. No one with these "lycanthropy bad" takes ever wants to discuss the legitimate positives that come with this "curse" lmao.

I like that Brennan, a very thoughtful individual when it comes to talking about and depicting religion and faith in a manner of different ways, jumps at any opportunity to embrace the righteous fury of a preacher trying cleanse sin out of the masses of his flock whenever he can. The Nosferatu is one member of the Dracula family. Using their blood crops, foraging Nosferatu will collect the sanguine elixir and bring it back to feed the queen and their other hive mates. The inner workings of a hive are as complex as the cave system itself, with specific classes of Nosferatu catering to varies needs within the hive.

While humans do fall prey to the Nosferatu they are not selective and will also feed on livestock or other large fauna such as dragons. Their shoulder clasps aid in their feeding. Giving them a secure grip on their prey.

Despite folkloric anecdotes, religious paraphernalia does very little if anything in warding off the Nosferatu. It is in fact the ritualistic dressings and oils that the Nosferatu is adverse too, being an irritant or an over stimulant to it’s highly sensitive receptors.
