Deeply aware that the jay and Jason thresome is intended as mostly smut but I also can’t help but think of Jason knowing that for a version of him that sort of love is actually possible, like yearners unite I guess but I love the angst/comfort potential of him just getting so close to that actual love just knowing it’s not his?
okay so this is actually some of the semi-plotty stuff that I was talking about that needs to get written before we get to the threesome bit. it shows up more in the first meeting between jay and jason, but don’t worry there is yearning involved.
for jay, she’s terrified of having a kid. she’s at a really good place in her life and it’s all fun and games to talk about it in bed but being responsible for not fucking a kid up? yeah she’s quaking. but meeting an younger version of herself who hasn’t gotten where she has, who hasn’t mended bridges and found a measure of healing, is a wake up call of how much she’s grown from who she was. and that maybe, she’s capable of a lot more than she thought, including being a good mother.
for jason, jay is a beacon of possibility. he’s still in a very low place, he hasn’t really fixed his relationship with his family (or himself) and there’s a lot of self-loathing involved. but jay is him and she’s happy. she’s loved. she’s gonna have a kid. so maybe it’s not impossible for him to find those things either. maybe the person he finds love with isn’t the you of this universe exactly, but there’s a real hope now that he is capable of loving and being loved.

getting into paramore atm, and OH MY GOD FENCES IS LITERALLY A FEVER YOU CAN’T SWEAT OUT SONG.
add a little bit of bells or xylophone or whatever to the instrumental and just generally make it sound a little more 1920’s / circus-esque and swap hayley’s voice for brendon’s and boom. WILDDD

Emo nite makeup from a lil while ago!! I ended up not wearing the hipster glasses after all, but I still committed to the Ryan Ross bit with the makeup and outfit.
The actual emo nite itself wasn’t the best one I’d been to, but I’m going to another one that’s Halloween themed towards the end of the month. This one has a DJ I can trust with a good lineup of music and also the venue has nice sound mixing that isn’t too abrasive on my autistic ears.

also i don’t like tortured poets department as a whole not because it’s bad but because it is word vomit, like the whole album feels like word vomit. going off my rant about old panic at the disco (yes i know you can’t really compare the two genres between taylor swift and old panic but please bear with me here), old panic at the disco was literally just brendon urie word vomitting everywhere, but it was a different type.
if you were to listen to a song, say from like a fever you can’t sweat out, and you removed a line or two from the song, the song as a whole wouldn’t make sense from a storytelling perspective. but if you took a song from tortured poets department and removed a line or two, depending on the line the song and storytelling would still make SENSE. and i get it, people think it’s like the new bible in terms of albums and whatever, but if you really listen to it from an objective standpoint i think i’m kinda right.
to me, the lyrics don’t flow well on a majority of the songs and there’s only one or two parts of the song that actually sound good and taylor just tried to build around those good parts and it didn’t work. which is okay i guess, but compared to folklore and evermore i don’t think the writing compares. the production is good, she sounds good, but the lyrics and the disconnection with the flow and the backing music just BOTHERS ME!!!!
