Tanya gets the boys when they wake up. After changing them, she asks.” Would you like to meet your sister?”

 

“Faith here?”

 

“Yes, she came while you were sleeping,” Their daddy tells them, “come see her.”

 

They walk over to the bed and Edward lifts them up. Jacob lowers Faith down so they can see her.

 

“She like mommy and us.” Samuel announces.

 

“Yes she is.” Bella ruffles his hair.

 

“She pretty.” He adds while his twin reaches out and touches her hand.

 

“Yes.” Jake smiles at them.

 

“Hi Faith. I Samuel, your brother. Solomon brother too,” When she looks at him, her eyes wide and alert, “She likes me!” he adds.

 

“I am sure she does.” Edward smiles at him.

 

“We hold.”

 

“In a bit. Breakfast first.”

 

“I got it,” Tanya says, “lets go guys. Faith will still be here when you are done.”

 

“Let’s let Bella, Jake, and Faith have some privacy,” Carlisle says, “besides, we need to let the rest of the family know what is going on.”

 

They walk out and he calls Esme. “Tell Rose she can meet her niece in a few hours after the family bonds.”

 

“Edward delivered her?” She wants to make sure she heard that right.

 

“Yes, and you won’t  believe the change in him.”

 

“What change?”

 

“I will let him explain.”

 

“We are on the way.”

 

“Your mom, brother, and sister are on the way.”

 

“Good. Rose is going to flip over Faith.”

 

“Yes, your mom is curious about the change in you.”

 

“You didn’t tell her?”

 

His dad smiles and pats his back. “No, I am leaving that up to you.”

 

“Okay.” His smile holds calm assurance. Tanya walks  back in with the boys.

 

“See Faith.”

 

“Let’s get you dressed first.” Carlisle leaves them alone to talk.

 

“Edward, I am so proud of you.”

 

“Why, I just did what needed done, with God’s  guidance.”

 

“Maybe so. But you did it despite what she is to you. It couldn’t have been easy for you.”

 

“Not at first. My sense of calm kept growing. It was miraculous. Everything I needed to know just came to me at the right time, right when I needed it.”

 

“That’s truly a great thing,” She reaches out to kiss him and is rejected, “What’s wrong?”

 

“I just can’t anymore. I am a different man now. I can’t be intimate with you, not without fully committing myself to you.”

 

“Well then fully commit yourself to me.”

 

“Can’t do that either. I love you Tanya but that isn’t enough. I must love you with my whole heart,” she stares at him stunned, “I’m truly sorry. I can be your friend but I can’t be more.”

 

Esme, Emmett, and Rose enters, interrupting their conversation.

 

“Carlisle told me what you did son. I am so proud of you.”

 

“Thanks, but it wasn’t  all me.” Before he can say more, Jacob steps out and asks if  they want to meet Faith. 

 

That is all Rose needs to hear. She hurries in and Emmett and Esme follow her.

 

Over the rest of the day, the Cullen’s, Quilene’s , and Charlie and Billy meet and bond with Faith.

 

Tonya sits among them still and stunned. Jasper feels the despair coming off her but has no time to pursue it. Feeling such  joy and peace from everyone else, it overwhelms Tanya ‘s feelings. He makes a mental note to talk to her later.

I honestly do NOT think dr ratio would be the possessive type of man or not. like, I'm sure he'd get the tinyest of jealous if he saw another man speaking to you, but would quickly discard the thought considering your his lover--

the same person who dedicated their sweet time into gaining his trust and even romantic feelings, however could you betray him like that?

he knows that he was right for you and you were right for him, as if you both were the perfect equation. (see what I did there hehe)

Ok, not that this isn't an accurate post. Yes, nostalgia does make even the worst memories sweet to have, BUT has anyone considered that maybe the fact that you're crying your heart out on the floor is because you are realising important things about your life. That this sort of pain may be the thing to pull you out of a life you thought was good, because you've gaslit yourself (or been gaslit by others) to believe that it is.

Maybe that period in your life was the last straw that pushed you to start therapy, get a career that you actually love, break off your toxic relationships/friendships, etc.

At least this has been my experience for the past few months. Just some food for thought for anyone going through a hard time right now.

I'm a lesbian and i see myself in media about bi women, also in media about gay/bi men. even if it's not Entirely made for me, it's still for me. and I know and hope that other gay/bi people are able to see parts of themselves in lesbian media. sorry to be cheesy but we are more similar than we are different and it's those experiences we share that draw us to these stories in the first place, and the reason we're even telling them <3

While this is a great tip, before you close all the tabs, remember to click those heart buttons! That means a lot to the creators and it is really disheartening to see ratios of 500 downloads and 10 hearts/likes... I really think that @simfileshare could use a dedicated option to download a whole folder and a "super like" button that likes all the downloads in that folder for people who download a folder. Pretty please 🥺 The way it is now, it is a tedious process to download multiple files and if downloaders want to make their lives easier, it comes at a disadvantage for the file uploaders. This is not exactly ideal. Also, if you are a creator, consider putting files inside zip archives instead of uploading them individually if you have a lot.

downloading a bunch of files from sfs folder a bit more comfortably (on PC)

you know what i mean. when you see a sfs folder with many separate files and no full set archive, so you just sigh, click on a file, download it, go back, repeat with the next one, go back, try to recall which one you already downloaded and which you didn't... so i've come up with a little workaround that'll make it faster and a bit more comfortable! it's pretty 101, but my friend found my explanation useful, so maybe someone else needs it too.

there's this thing about SFS, that if you open the same page again in a certain period of time, i think it's a day or maybe a few hours, it won't open the page again, but instead it'll just automatically download its file. that's exactly the thing we'll be utilizing here. when you left click on a link with pressed ctrl, this link will be open in another (inactive) tab. so to "automatically" download files from this folder, just hold ctlr and click on each file you need twice.

on the first click, it'll open the inactive tab with it, on the second click, it'll just straight up download the file. when you download everything you need, just close all tabs it opened. not ideal, yes, but much faster and less annoying than having to manually open each page and click on the button. happy simming!

I'm re-reading the Discworld series for reasons, and honestly the most relatable part of reading these as an adult is how many of the protagonists start out being tired, used to their little routine and vaguely disgruntled by the interruption of the Plot. Sam Vimes wants to lie drunk in a gutter and absolutely doesn't want to be arresting dragons. Rincewind is yanked into every situation he's ever encountered, though he'd much rather be lying in a gutter too. (Minus the alcohol. Plus regretting everything he's ever done said witnessed or even heard about fourth-hand in his whole life.) Granny Weatherwax is deeply suspicious of foreign parts and that includes the next town over; Nanny has leaned into the armor of "nothing ever happens to jolly grannies who terrorize their daughters-in-law and make Saucy Jokes"

Only the young people don't seem to have picked up on this---and that's fortunate, because someone has to run around making things happen, if only so Vimes and Granny and Rincewind have a reason to get up (complaining bitterly the whole time) and put it all to rights. Without Carrot, Margrat, Eric, etc. these characters don't have that reason; they're likely to stay in the metaphorical gutter and keep wondering where it all went wrong or why anything has to change.

............well, that's not quite true. You get the sense that Vetinari knows how much certain people hate the Plot. And as the person sitting behind the metaphorical lighting board of Ankh-Morpork, he takes no small pleasure in forcing the Plot-haters specifically to stand up, and say some lines.

God this panel kinda drives me crazy. From Batman & the Outsiders #17, Shiva asks Duke about his suit, whether it was his choice. And how does Duke respond? He... doesn't. He parrots what is clearly something Bruce said to him, but never clarifies whether it was 'his choice' at all. Because both him and Shiva know it wasn't. And he acknowledges that his suit, with all the Batty-ness (ears, symbol), was specifically designed to make him like Batman.

Then Shiva suggests dark red, which is what Duke wore in We Are Robin and has connotations to Robin as a whole. Duke's reaction - can we let it go? - can be read in many ways, but to me it suggests Shiva's words hit home. He does miss the Robin colours. Becoming the Signal wasn't his choice, but becoming Robin was.

(And throughout this run, Shiva says both Cass and Duke are being held back by Bruce. With Cass this is a clear allusion to being Orphan over Batgirl, so it's not farfetched to read this conversation as being about how Duke was denied Robin to become Signal).

Duke-as-Signal is a symbol of 'people like Batman', but Duke-as-Robin was a symbol of youth, of community, of diversity and of choice. He was a Robin formed without Batman. I know there's no going back, but having Bruce choose the name, the suit, and the time of day that Duke goes out makes the Signal such a fraught identity. I love the yellow, the suit, and the daytime aspect, but I just wish they were Duke's choices, not Bruce's.
