RE: Ludovica's girlfriend, I've been picturing her like my childhood dog. A solid coat might look nice against Ludovica's spots. My old girl had black fur with a strong brown undertone. She was a rescue (and the sweetest, calmest lady), but according to a DNA test (which I know aren't the most reliable) she was a Labrador Retriever / American Staffordshire Terrier / Chinese Shar Pei mix. She just passed recently. I guess that might be part of the reason I have this strong mental image. Hope you don't mind me sharing!

A much narrower portion of the FR video game fandom, but I find myself wanting to play a Myrkulyte Knight Captain/Spirit Eater. Despite him not being on the deity option list, you can worship vestiges.

Myrkul's divine essence saturates the Mere of Dead Men, clearly evidence of his power. A neglected orphan, who would've known Myrkul as lord of the dead in their early years pre Time of Troubles, with a village that keeps dying around them, might find comfort in the ancestor worship and reverence for the dead in Myrkul's doctrine. Also when your main enemy is the undead, being a necromancer gets useful.

your post about the pulse/ox cord reminded me of my family dog, Pumpkin (who we lost last year after fifteen-and-a-half years of amazing memories) who would not under any circumstances cross a power cord -- to the point that if a ball bounced over or rolled up against a cord, even if only her muzzle would cross it, she'd stand there and whine at us (or howl -- gotta love beagles) until we retrieved it for her. my mom thought she'd bitten one and got a minor shock as a puppy, but i'm pretty sure that while she was a very smart dog in many ways (mostly ways to get attention and people food), she was just a little dumb when it came to cords
