If not for the bands message, I would 100% believe he was quitting either Rammstein or both the band and music. In fact, I think last year he was going to. No doubt about it. But the support and love stopped him. Made him rethink things. There are still people, a lot of people, who want to see and hear him. Like a Phoenix from the ashes - that's what I think the end of the poem implies
I also think he lost a lot of people. In music industry and personal life. People turned their backs on him long before any verdict was issued, and that made him lose hope. It would make anyone lose hope.
But truth prevails. And those who were genuinely loyal - stayed. And for those people alone, it is worth continuing... and I don't mean just music.
Hi 👋🏻
If Rammstein's thank you-message from two days ago hadn't been posted, I would be even more worried than I already am.
Nevertheless, I try to hold onto the fact that it is hardly likely that the band would publicly announce their continuation for all fans to see, and then their lead singer would announce his departure two days later.
Yet Till had to endure incredibly much last year. He was pilloried and prejudged from all sides, while at the same time, no one gave him the opportunity or allowed him to actively defend himself. His professional environment (the band, other Rammstein employees), as well as his private environment with family (there were even articles about Nele and his mother in the German press) and friends were dragged into it, then there was vandalism and death threats against him.
That one becomes hopeless and thinks about quitting (not only in a professional sense...) is not surprising. The poem reads very personally, as if he is not necessarily (only) referring to his musical career. If you approach the matter interpretively, you can also think that he has lost a lot privately (maybe friends who turned on him, other people in his life became frosty and distant...) and had to endure a lot. However he meant his poem, it seems to be an emotional/sad vent for the emotions and grief he still actively carries and now, with the tour over, perhaps feels more than during the busy and consuming tour life.
I think it is good that he makes it clear how close it hit him - a witch hunt was carried out against him to an incredible extent. Having to endure that leaves marks that do not fade quickly. Till is not a saint and has his quirks, but he certainly did not deserve this.
He is an artist, so he naturally expresses himself in a lyrical and cryptic way. We must be patient and wait to see if and what comes next. I really hope that he has found hope and confidence again. The matter is far from over; proceedings against a podcast are ongoing, and his lawyers have filed a lawsuit against Der Spiegel. That means it will accompany him for a while, whether he wants it to or not. I hope he has a network of loyal people around him who are good for him, and that he at least somewhat finds inner peace... and strength to carry on.

Hiya hello~! Mind if I be real with you wonderful folks for a sec? Cool? Cool.
This is a little follow up from a previous post I that I decided to delete earlier, after some sleeping and thinking it over. I was very nervous about showing any of my fanart for my recent fandom interest, but I am getting a little bit braver. If ANY of my artwork makes you uncomfortable in a way, I really do apologize. I'm honestly enjoying what draw so far and you are welcome to ignore or block at your leisure with no fuss. I say this because there seems to be a little hypocrisy going on in said fandom, but I won't delve into it and leave it at that.
To put it simply, I'll indulge what I want to indulge, and have fun with it. It being either canon x oc, canon x canon, or straight up fanart in general. And don't worry this account is still SFW so don't expect anything completely out there.

I bought groceries yesterday and got beef sticks instead of turkey sticks bc they were out of the turkey sticks.
I ate one and immediately did not like it as much as my normal ones. Objectively it has more flavor, but it tastes off to me. Eugh.

In your wildest dreams get more than 5 parts 😩✋ hold on i have to comprehend that lol
Thanks for blessing us with this au I’m so in love with your writing 🫶🏻
HAHA yes! Since I’m introducing other RE characters I want to have it 1) make sense why they’re there & 2) build some tension that I don’t think I could do without adding more parts!
It’s hard to say how much longer it’ll be now & I’ll probably just update the masterlist for it as I go but definitely more than 5 parts!
Thank you so so so much for loving this au and being patient with me as I work on it, it means the world!! 💝🥹

The thing I keep coming back to, with all the *gestures expansively* is that real life doesn't have peaceful epilogues.
Every single win has to be defended. Forever. I'm sorry. It sucks. The Nazis lost until they stopped losing. The US had abortion rights, and then 50 years later it didn't. Empires fall, and then they invade other countries again. Oppressive regimes are overthrown and replaced with other oppressive regimes. You will never finish the work etc etc etc. Which is why it's so fucking important to be able to acknowledge and celebrate progress, when it happens. The people who came before you didn't put in all that work for nothing, and you aren't, either. You can't save it all for the Ultimate Victory because there is never going to be an Ultimate Victory. There's no such thing as a time when everything is good, and ours shall not be the commune of Heaven.

My dealer: got some straight gas 🔥😛 this strain is called “loving the world” 😳 you’ll be zonked out of your gourd 💯
Me: yeah whatever. I don’t feel shit.
5 minutes later: dude I swear I just saw some moss growing between the cracks in the sidewalk
My buddy, pacing: I found more beauty in the mundane than yesterday

The claim that "Superman is too strong to have any meaningful conflict" is a ridiculous statement and makes the assumption that all conflict is rooted in violence.
Superman has conflicts around philosophy, societal issues, loneliness, balancing work and personal life, human empathy, rescue and yes, he does fight things. Things that are as strong as him. Just because he can move fast and punch good doesn't mean he can't have anxiety.

I was talking to my coworker today about my deep belief that more media should be finite. Some of the most disappointing endings in TV happen because there wasn’t an end goal that the plot was working toward all along. Ironically this came up because I was lamenting Arcane only being two seasons, a decision I admire, respect, and mourn.
I was juxtaposing How I Met Your Mother with The Office. The whole conceit of HIMYM is that the story is supposed to be leading toward this woman who haunts the narrative with her absence but because they set out with no end goal the finale is ultimately so unsatisfying. Nine seasons of build up for someone who could never have lived up to the hype because she wasn’t chosen beforehand or included early on.
Contrasted the The Office which was nine seasons that only ever claimed to be about the daily lives of office workers. Things get a bit looney tunes at times but ultimately the finale feels correct because there wasn’t some stated goal they’d been working toward narratively all along.
I then stated that the best and most elegant storytelling for TV was on The Good Place, in which every episode furthered the understanding of moral philosophy, advanced the plot, and was funny. It set out with a clear story and wrapped up exactly where it intended in one of the most satisfying conclusions ever that makes me cry every time.
My coworker then said, “What’s The Good Place?”
I froze. I frantically ran back everything I’d said thus far for spoilers and concluded that I had not ruined the plot. “You haven’t seen it?”
“No, it’s pretty good?”
“It’s. Really good.”
He mused about watching it with his partner or alone. I know he doesn’t like to rewatch media but I still suggested, “Watch it alone first, and then rewatch it with her. Trust me. The twist at the end of the first season will recontextualize everything and you’ll get to watch her reaction.”
I hope I get to hear him talk about it when I work with him next. I’m excited.

I don't think I've ever gotten into just how much Simon loves Freddie Mercury.
That man changed his life. Listening to any song by Queen inside the Parable always brightens him up because it takes him back to those bygone days of discovering how he truly feels inside, pushing that little bit of self hatred about his sexuality back into a dark corner of his mind and just. Simply be who he is. His parents wishes be damned and forgotten. After all, he's inside The Entity now, they can't touch him here.
And in here is where he can shine.
If Stanley happens to be nearby he'll just stand to the side and watch the magic unfold, his smile getting wider as Simon either sings along to the lyrics or starts dancing with the rhythm. And if Simon happens to catch him staring, he won't be embarrassed, instead he'll drag Stanley along with him and dance until the music stops.

indie games are safe!!
good news! unity has walked back a lot of the runtime fee!
they made a blog post outlining their new terms, the link is here. but if you want a sparknotes version, here's the highlights:
1. the runtime fee is not retroactive. previously released games are safe.
2. the fee only applies to the next major version of unity. developers can choose not to upgrade if they don't want do deal with it.
3. the fee is opt-in and number of installs is self-reported. if they'd prefer, developers can instead pay a 2.5% revenue share. (for reference, unreal is 4%.)
4. interestingly, the splash screen is being completely removed. this is probably a way to improve their reputation.
overall, this is a HUGE improvement! but, if I remember right, there was not any revenue share before, so, we are not at the same point we started. unity will still be taking a larger cut of developers' revenue if they choose to use newer features. but, it is nowhere near as drastic as we thought it would be.
overall, I think we're in a stable spot now, but I also think unity has lost most if not all of the trust it had. especially with indies. there has already been a mass exodus, and I kinda hope that will keep going.

POV you read the book of bill and then the 3rd journal and then lost legends and then the great gatsby and rewatched the show twice and are on your third rewatch in the past two months and watched a bajillion animatics and character analysises and actually read fanfic which you never do like ever and you’re starting to feel like you’re running out of content and might need to start drawing more
