From the moment you met Seungcheol you knew you were in trouble. You both worked for a big tech company in the city. You were standing by the window on the balcony talking to Minghao about your job. He worked in a different division of the company. You became friends through Mingyu who you have both worked with. Minghao was asking you tons of questions about your new position that you had been promoted to recently. Minghao has always been interested in knowing more about you.

“I’m gonna go find Cheol,” you say to Minghao before heading inside.

You make your way through the crowded room looking for your secret lover. You glanced around and found him standing at the bar talking to Wonwoo with a huge smile on his face. Most of them work with Minghao. You all started dancing together along to the beat. The music easily melts away your worries as you’re lost in the sound. Swaying your hips to the beat and you smiled singing along with some of the girls. You of the girls called cheers as one of them walked over with shots to pass around. You took the shot glass filled with gold liquid and looked over your shoulder to find Seungcheol eyes still locked on you.

“So are you and Cheol finally together?” The blonde who seemed very interested in Wonwoo asked, taking the shot glass from your hand.

You looked at her for a long moment trying to figure out if you should lie and say no or come clean. Seungcheol and you had been living in the bubble and you figured the less people that knew the better.

“Nope were really good friends,” you lied because for some reason it felt like the safest bet.

“Well if you guys ever do get together I think you would make a cute couple,” she smiled before walking away.

You glanced back at Seungcheol to see that he was attempting to make conversation with Wonwoo while staring at you. You started swaying your hips to the beat again.

You felt as if you once again got lost in the music and next thing you knew you were being tapped on the shoulder by Cheol who had walked over and joined the group with Minghao and Soonyoung. The beat of the music picked up and everyone was dancing and having fun. Seungcheol kept his distance from you, dancing and having fun with the group. Even though you were like five feet apart you could still feel your connection as he kept looking at you. Even in a crowded room he seemed to only see you.

Pretty soon another round of shots were being passed around. This time with a clear liquid. You bit your bottom lip and held the glass up to cheers with the rest of the group. Seungcheol nodded his head to you before taking the shot.

The dance floor had seemed to get more crowded and your group was forced to dance closer together. Soon enough you were swaying to the beat of the music with Seungcheol less than a foot from you.

Both your eyes were filled with lust as you moved to the beat. It’s as if you were dancing with your hands tied trying not to touch. You couldn’t let people know that you were together. You wanted nothing more in that moment to just hold his hand or to even just touch him how you have been dying to touch him.

SEUNGCHEOL: if he was promoting with his members, he wouldn't even entertain the question; working as part of a team matters a lot to him, and as the group leader, he has to set an example. but today he's doing a solo interview and lets himself be more open. when the hosts ask about you, he absolutely tries his best to hide his initial reaction, but he can't help the smile that automatically appears at the mention of your name. he attempts to play it off with an arrogant hair ruffle that fools no one. literally so embarrassing. "am I happy? ...yeah, I'd say so." he laughs. "why would I say no? all of my important people are healthy and living their best life." he doesn't share too many details about you, just to protect your privacy, but he'd be proud to promote any of your recent achievements, regardless of your occupation.

MINGHAO: he's an extremely private person—I'd argue even more so than wonwoo—so he warned the program beforehand that he wouldn't answer any questions about you, other than to confirm that yes, you are still happily together. they agree...and of course scheme ways to get around that. so instead of asking about you directly, they decide to reference you a few times throughout the shooting to catch his reaction. maybe your song as a random dance or screenshots of your show as memes. they have audacity, he'll give them that. if he was a lesser man or earlier into his career, he'd cave and play into their wants, but neither of those apply to him so he smiles every time, ignoring the references, until they get bored and move on. then, at the end of the shoot, they ask if he has any closing words. "thanks for promoting their work so seriously," he says with a sarcastic bow.

VERNON: he's yet another private person (do you have a type), though not through conscious choice like minghao. he's publicly dating and has nothing to hide, but he's not the type to flaunt personal matters so he just doesn't. obviously his friends and family know the important details, but beyond that, he doesn't see the point in sharing information with people that don't really know him. so when the hosts ask him about his relationship, it catches him off-guard. he fully blinks and stares at the host until someone breaks the silence with an awkward laugh. as a leo and a fire sing myself, i’m sure that cheol can be a bit impulsive and not think his actions through, especially if it’s during a fight where his emotions are all over the place. things would get heated really quickly with him, and he’d have a hard time holding his tongue. 

“shit, baby,” he reached for your hand, eyes wide and panicked. “don’t fucking call me that seungcheol,” you pulled your wrist out of his grasp, looking at him with an expression that made his heart shutter to million pieces. 

he knew the second the words left his mouth that he shouldn't have said them, but his brain was too slow to understand that, and the heat of the argument made him lose all of his common sense. “my precious baby, i’ve hurt them,” that would be the thought that’d run through his mind, as he tried to wrap his head around what he had just done. “just… leave me alone.”

and he’d do that. he’d give you as much time as you needed, but that wouldn’t mean he’d abandon you. cheol would make you your favourite ramyeon and place it at the nightstand next to your bed where you were resting, or he’d put his hoodie in the dryer you always wore after shower, so it’d be warm and cosy. 

and he’d take his pillow and blanket from your bed to sleep on the couch, so he wouldn’t make you uncomfortable, and so that you could rest peacefully. but then, after maybe an hour of tossing and turning, seungcheol would hear quiet footsteps, and a dog's paws running across the wooden floor, meaning you couldn’t sleep as well. 

you’d lay next to seungcheol, your back pressed against his warm chest, as his arms shyly sneaked around your waist to pull you even closer. “please, let’s never fight like that again,” you murmured, pulling one of cheol’s hands under your chin, nuzzling your nose against his palm.

honestly, i have a hard time imagining wonwoo saying something he doesn’t mean. i feel like he always thinks before he talks, no matter what situation he’s in, and he strikes me as a person who is great at keeping his emotions at bay, contrary to cheol. he’d also have this thought at the back of his head that no fight is worth hurting you with his words. 

you looked at each other in confusion, as the words left wonwoo’s mouth. never in your whole relationship had he said anything like that, so you were taken aback more by the fact that he even said it more than that it was directed towards you. 

wonwoo nervously fixed his glasses, looking as lost as you. you could almost see his brain trying to understand what had just happened. “i’m sorry i… i didn’t mean what i just said,” he looked at you, eyes big and sad. 

you sighed, and grabbed his hand intertwining your fingers. “i know you didn’t mean it baby” you said, looking at his broken expression. “but you still said it.” his eyes got even wider, and he quickly cradled your face in his hands, running his thumb over your cheeks. 

“i know that no matter what i say won’t change what i did, but you have to know that no part of my mind and soul believes in what i said. that was just a stupid intrusive thought that i shouldn’t have said.” 

even though you said you forgave him, wonwoo was still very attentive to you for the rest of the evening - he had you on his lap for the whole time he was gaming, he made sure the sweatshirt you wore to bed was one of his best ones, and he cuddled you extra close to his chest that night.

another fire sign, and as cheol (this might be an unpopular opinion?), might also have issues with controlling his emotions and words during heated arguments. like, i know he’s an amazing person with the best personality, etc. etc. BUT i see gyu as someone who is very defensive of his beliefs and point of views, and i think he can get quite stubborn, which can lead to him saying things he doesn’t really mean.

mingyu knew he shouldn’t have opened his mouth - both of you were consumed by your emotions and neither of you were thinking clearly. the only difference was that he let those emotions hurt you. 

“i didn’t… i don’t…,” he whispered, looking at your shattered expression. yeah, he couldn’t believe it either that those horrendous words left his mouth. you closed your eyes tightly, a single tear rolling down your cheek. the person who you trusted with your life broke your heart just like that, but you wouldn’t cry in front of him. he didn’t deserve a single tear after what he had done. 

you held your head high up as you turned around and started walking towards the door. “no, no please,” mingyu followed after you, catching up with you quickly. “don’t leave my love. hate me, yell at me, punch me, but don’t leave,” his eyebrows were furrowed and eyes glossy, and you knew that he was trying not to cry as well. 

“i’ll take the couch for tonight, but stay. i won’t let you walk out, it’s too dangerous.” 

he cradled your head in his hands, and pecked your forehead gently, before disappearing in the bedroom to take his pillow and an extra blanket.

same with wonwoo, i don’t see vernon saying something he doesn’t mean. like, i don’t think his mind even works that way. for one - arguments with him are never heated, not because he doesn’t give a fuck, but his personality and mindset are so calm and collected in itself that neither of you even have a chance to raise your voices.

“i’m sorry,” he stared at his shoes, too scared to look at you. “i’ll leave you alone.” 

he quietly closed the front door behind him, leaving you alone in your apartment, confused and sad. vernon rarely got angry, especially at you, and you had never heard him raise his voice. you had a stupid fight that probably started over something stupid, but both of you were tired and irritated and you just snapped at each other.

Like with most events, this entire trip was Seungkwan’s idea.

"We should stop getting Seungkwan to do all the planning whenever we go anywhere," Mingyu grumbles, coming to sit next to you on the floor of the kitchen. You hum in agreement, listening as Seungkwan yells at the others in the living room about packing and food and clothes and whatever. He's always yelling, really. 

It's a thirteen-member road trip that he's currently planning. Well, a thirteen-member road trip plus you, because you'd foolishly told Seungkwan that you were free when he asked you whether you were doing anything this weekend. And, as a result, you'd become part of his event-planning craze, hiding on the kitchen floor and waiting for him to inevitably find you and scold you over your toothbrush choice or something.

You’re sitting tucked away between two corners of kitchen drawers when Mingyu comes down to sit beside you on the tiled floor, and it’s a bit of a squish because even though it fit you quite comfortably, it’s not made for two people and he’s, well, a big man.

Automatically, you try and shuffle away from him, something that’s become habit lately whenever he steps too close to you. You hate yourself for doing it, for distancing yourself from one of your closest friends, but if it means that he won’t be able to feel your skin heating up and your pulse racing through your veins when he comes near, then so be it.

But the moment you try to move away, Mingyu wraps an arm around your shoulder, effectively trapping you against him.

It’s difficult to hide a crush when your crush is an incredibly clingy person.

“Where are you going? There’s barely any space here. You’re going to smash yourself against the drawers,” Mingyu says, and his arm settles around your shoulder, comforting, warm. 

It’s a hot day. But you let Mingyu keep his warm arm around you, settling into the comfortable embrace, feet cold against the tiled floor.

“You’ve been avoiding me these days,” he says, out of nowhere, and you try not to tense up in surprise that he’s noticed.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He hums disapprovingly. “No, you do. I think this is the first time I’ve managed to pull you into anything resembling a hug for weeks.”

“That’s not true. You hugged me yesterday,” you point out, but Mingyu just shakes his head. He’s pouting at you now, and he looks so sad and adorable and you feel a little bad. Damn your stupid feelings.

“That was a group hug. That doesn’t count, you know that.” He tilts his head to the side, and the action makes him look a little like a dejected puppy. “I haven’t been able to hug my Y/N in ages, you know? That makes me feel really sad.”

Your heart flips in your chest (he called you his—) but you push down the giddiness, smiling and attempting to brush it off. “Oh, well, I’m sorry. You can hug me tomorrow. Maybe.”

Mingyu huffs, but he doesn’t say anything else, and there’s silence in the kitchen, the faint echoes of Seungkwan’s shouts echoing throughout the entire apartment.

“I think Seungkwan is horribly disorganized,” you murmur after a little while in an attempt to change the subject, heartbeat still thrumming throughout your entire body. You’re used to it now, though. The buzzing feeling whenever Mingyu is near, the slight floatiness of your consciousness when he smiles or talks ot stands close to you. It never really goes away.

That makes Mingyu laugh, and the sound makes your heart jolt in your chest. “Tell me about it. We’re meant to leave in half an hour, actually, and Joshua has only just woken up. He hasn’t even packed yet.” 

There’s a crashing sound from the living room, and both of you collectively wince. The entire apartment is silent for several seconds before everyone explodes into a cacophony of noise, and you can’t quite tell if Seungkwan is screeching or crying.

“Why are you here?” you ask Mingyu, because instead of holding Seungkwan back from kicking the others like he normally does, he’s sitting next to you on the kitchen floor, the arm around your shoulders still firmly keeping you by his side.

Mingyu quirks a grin, squeezing your shoulder once. “Was going to find my lovely Y/N, wasn’t I? You disappeared without a trace, so of course I had to find out where you were.”

You tilt your head, confused. “Why? Was someone looking for me?”

Mingyu just looks at you and smiles.

“You two!” Seungkwan’s voice suddenly rings out, and both of you jump, Seungkwan’s disapproving face looming over you from the other side of the counter. He’s leaning across the top of it, on his stomach, and he sounds a little strained when he says, “Come out. Both of you. We’re leaving now, whether Joshua has enough pairs of socks or not!”

He hops off the counter, dashing off to go somewhere while Joshua yells in the distance for Jeonghan to share his socks with him while the other steadfastly refuses.

You and Mingyu both look at each other. 

“Well, looks like we’re setting off on this delightful roadtrip,” you sigh, and Mingyu chuckles, getting up.

“Looks like it.” He extends a hand for you, and you take it, after a brief hesitation. His palm fizzles against yours, bright pink and warm, and you hope he doesn’t notice how anxious your very fingers are when they touch his. “Where are we even going?”

“Somewhere,” Seokmin says, popping his head out of the living room as you walk past. “Seungkwan keeps saying it’s a surprise, but I think it’s because he hasn’t planned that far ahead yet.”

“I definitely have!” Seungkwan yells indignantly, and he’s standing in the hallway with the car keys in his hand and several bags piled around his feet. “And for your information, we’re going round to Seungcheol’s place first. Everyone else has gone to his apartment, for some reason, so we’ll meet them there and then get going.”

Joshua emerges from his room, arms laden with bags, Jeonghan behind him carrying absolutely nothing. “Okay, but where are we going after that?”

“He doesn’t know, obviously,” you say, and Seungkwan shakes his head.

“Sure. Now come on, let’s get everything loaded into the car and get going.”

Seokmin is practically skipping out of the door the moment he opens it, bouncing on the balls of his feet and pestering Seungkwan to give him the (Joshua’s) car keys so he can put away his stuff. 

It’s a gorgeously bright day outside, and you squint in the sun, the heat of the late morning hitting your skin almost instantly. It’s nothing compared to the warmth of Mingyu’s touch, of course, but it’s pleasant all the same.

A hand comes up to cast a shadow across your face, shielding your eyes from the sun. Mingyu grins, holding his bags in one hand, the other in front of your face.

“You look like a vampire who’s never seen light before,” he says, and mimics the squinty-eyed, scrunched-up face that you were making just a few seconds prior. It makes you roll your eyes, pinching him in the side, dumping your own bags in the car trunk. He follows you around obediently, trying his best to keep your eyes shaded even as he continues to tease you. It’s a little adorable, actually.

It does nothing to cease the fluttering of your heart, though.

You’re trying to bat Mingyu’s hands away, annoyed when they keep coming too close to boop your nose when Seungkwan suddenly pauses in his frantic flitting around, staring at the car in deep concentration.

“You guys. We have a problem.”

“Oh no, another one?” Jeonghan says, but Seungkwan doesn’t even pay attention, still frowning down at the car. 

“Joshua’s car only fits five people,” Seokmin pipes, leaning out of the shotgun seat to inform them. “We don’t have enough seats for all six of us. Someone’s going to have to sit on someone’s lap.”

“Ah. Well, what do we do?” you ask, looking at Mingyu. Mingyu just looks back, not saying a word, and everyone else is looking at you too, and that’s when you realise. “Oh. Oh, no. Guys, no, I can’t.”

“You’re the smallest out of all of us,” Seungkwan says, and you rapidly shake your head. “Y/N, it’ll only be until we get to Seungcheol’s apartment. Then we’ll split off into more even groups, ‘cause there���ll be Seungcheol’s car, Minghao’s car and Joshua’s car. Just for now? Please?”

“No, I can’t,” you say, hugging your arms around yourself. “It’s just… I’m too…” You cringe, embarrassed, insecure. “Am I not a little too… heavy for that?”

Jeonghan pffts, and Joshua shakes his head fervently. But you’re looking at Mingyu, and Mingyu is looking back at you, and his expression shows that he’s never even thought something like that, even for a second.

“You’re fine, Y/N,” he says, and he’s speaking gently and firmly at the same time, reassuring and determined all at once. “Why would you even think you’re too heavy?”

“Well,” you start, and your cheeks are hot, and this heat has nothing to do with the sun, still bearing down on all of you. “I mean, my thighs? I’m not exactly, like, the skinniest person ever…”

“And we’d never want that,” Mingyu interjects, eyes wide and clear and serious. He holds out his hand. “Come on. You can sit on my lap. It’s okay.”

You hesitate, just like how you hesitated earlier in the kitchen, but again, you take his hand anyway, and again, his fingers fizzle with warmth as they come into contact with yours.

“Great!” Seungkwan clasps his hands together. “Let’s get going then. We need to start this trip as soon as possible. We’re already an hour behind schedule.”

“What even was the schedule to begin with?” Mingyu mutters to you as he walks you to the car, and it makes you chuckle a little because he’s right. There seems to be no actual schedule.

When Mingyu opens the car door and gets in, though, the laughter dies away, and you feel apprehensive once again. You try not to think about it too often, but your weight and the way you look is a huge insecurity of yours, and the fact you have to sit on Mingyu’s lap? This is not helping those insecurities go away. Suddenly you feel like a big, heavy thing, and you kind of don’t want to go on this trip if it means you have to inconvenience Mingyu like this.

Mingyu notices you pausing, notices the thoughts and fears running through your head.

“Y/N?” He looks up at you, and smiles, opening his arms. “Come on. It’s okay. Just until we get to Cheol’s place, yeah?”

“I mean…”

“No, no, none of that,” Mingyu says, and then he’s reaching out for you, pulling you into the car and securely into his lap. He wraps his hands around your waist, firmly, and rests his head on your shoulder. “Look? You fit so perfectly in my lap.”

And you kind of do. He’s spreading his legs a little, making it slightly more comfortable for you, and with his arms and his warmth surrounding you so reassuringly, skin buzzing sweetly at every point of contact between you two.

He presses a kiss to your shoulder, smiling up at you, and even his eyes are warm. Warmer than Seokmin’s beams, warmer than the sun itself.

“You’ll never be a burden for me, Y/N,” he says, and even though Seungkwan is still bustling around outside and Joshua is bickering with Seokmin in the front of the car and Jeonghan is complaining at having the shotgun seat stolen, the world goes silent for you and all you can see and hear is Mingyu.

Mingyu grins wider, and it makes you smile too. He reaches up and pokes your cheek, cooing softly. “Look at you, my lovely Y/N. So sweet, so adorable.”

You swat his hand away, cheeks heating up. “Aw, stop it. You’re so sickeningly sweet.”

That makes Mingyu laugh, leaning back in the seat, tightening his arms around your waist. “Only for you. Only ever for you.”

And even when you get to Seungcheol’s apartment and kick Jeonghan out into Seungcheol’s car so there’s more space, even when you’re sitting next to Mingyu rather than on him, Mingyu is still smiling at you, so softly and sweetly and you’re smiling back, heartbeat thrumming through your veins.

he was driving home and everything he passed by, his thoughts connected them to you a bakery? y/n’s birthday is coming up, i should surprised them with a cake. a billboard for a new movie? would y/n want to go see that? the trailer looked good.. a park? is that the same one we went to when y/n made that bento? even a convenience store: y/n better not be eating ramen again..

jeonghan:

it's when he sees that you don't fall so easily for his pranks. he knows you're on the same wavelength as him, truly his other half.

you're at the airport about to take your first trip together. "baby i forgot our passports at home" he suddenly tells you, pretending to rummage through his backpack.

you look back at him with a half smile, "no you didn't, you're just being silly. c'mon we have to start checking in now." he's smiling back at you even if his little prank didn't work. as he follows you from behind, he feels a little shift in his feelings for you. ah, is this what they mean about love? he wonders.

it's when the two of you are in the car and you're singing (half-yelling). he's humming along to parts that he recognizes as he drives, but not without stealing glances to see you passionately belt out every single word.

it's at a red light that he looks over to you and at the same time, you're enthusiastically bumping along to the rhythm in your seat. you point to him as you sing along to some cheesy lyric about being in love except to him, it's not cheesy at all. instead, he feels his heart skip a beat when he realizes he loves you.

jun:

it's so simple, really. this one time, he makes this opera voice to you as he laid out options for dinner.

"so we can order from our usual or try that new place nearby that just opened up~~" he asked, trilling his voice in random places dramatically.

you think out loud, humming, but then replying in the same silly manner as you choose. "i think we can try the new place~~" you sing back, making your voice two octaves lower. you're both laughing after but his smile feels a little deeper to him and he wonders if this feeling is what he thinks it is.

hoshi:

hoshi has never run from his feelings, he's always embraced them.

it's when he picks you up for a date and sees the skip in your step to greet him. you fall into his arms for your usual hug but with a little more accidental momentum.

he laughs as he catches you, "hi pretty" he smiles. your arms are wrapped around his middle and your face is so close to his as you're smiling back at him just as big. this is when he knows. "i love you, you know" he declares, kissing your cheek.

wonwoo:

one night where he can’t sleep, he figured he really needs to hear your voice. he accidentally disregards the time, not realizing he’s been awake for so long and that it’s three am. you pick up your phone after couple rings (it took you a moment to wake up).

“hello?” you asked, voice muddled with sleep. he can't help but feel some kind of relief, some kind of comfort so specific to you.

“i just wanted to hear your voice."

"right now?" you can't help but ask. this is where he checks his phone and realizes how late it actually is.

"oh, i'm sorry" he almost whispers.

"is everything okay?" your concern warmed him.

"yeah, yeah, everything's fine," he assures you, almost whispering those three words so late into the night. "go back to sleep, love." he's never really used that pet name, but he figures it'll have to do for now.

woozi:

it hits him where he spends the most time: his studio. the last two weeks or so he hasn't been able to see you and he's been starting to feel bad. he tries to text you when he can, but he still replies hours later or not at all. somehow, his schedule was arranged down to the hour.

yet you managed to drop off food for him at the hybe building occasionally, brightening his day even a little bit. he was always in the middle of something else, whether it be a dance practice, a going seventeen shoot, a photoshoot, recording, or producing. so it was always a manager or an assistant taking the food from you to bring up to him.

when jihoon finally gets a day off, he's almost rushing to see you. he almost expects you to look unexcited, or even mad, but he's surprised to see you simply happy. he takes you out to lunch and as you wait for your meal, he blurts out what he feels is a necessary apology.

"sorry for what?" you looked back at him, puzzled.

he's caught off guard at your confusion. "um, for not really being around the last two weeks," a nervous hand comes up behind his head, "i feel like i didn't reach out enough."

you take his hand, "weren't you just working? it's a busy time right now, isn't it?"

"well yeah, but still-"

"baby i wouldn't have agreed to dating you if i would have a problem with your schedule," you assured him, "as long as we're still trying with each other, we'll be fine."

"i still feel bad," he sighs, taking your hand in both of his.

"baby, i wouldn't want you to worry about us on top of all of your responsibilities," you tell him. "i'm really okay, honestly, and if anything ever comes up, i'll promise to talk to you."

he sees the genuine look of understanding from your eyes as you sit across from him. he feels his heart hammering in his chest and it's like he's been brought to the months where we was just falling for you. but this time, it's much grander and he knows it's love.

dokyeom:

he knew he was in love the first time he made you laugh. he's probably the one member who would realize it before you were officially dating.

you held onto his arm as you laughed, shaking your head as his antics and this is when he knew. you looked at him with the warmest smile and he was already falling.

far into the future people will ask him when he knew you were the one and he'll be the kind to remember all the details of this encounter: the hoodie that you were wearing, how your hair looked, the joke he was telling, etc.

mingyu:

so you took him to one of those sip and paint cafes so the two of you could have pottery in your home with a personal touch. mingyu is also quite artistic so it would be fun. everything is going smoothly until his large hands accidentally knock over the water cup meant for rinsing your paintbrushes. then as he's trying to quickly clean up, the paintbrush that he set down accidentally touches his mug, ruining his image.

he's whining after ruining his piece, but you assure him that it's still fine. you laugh a little, encouraging that he can probably try to fix it. but, even with an attempt to correct his mistake, the little puppy that he painted is still awkward-looking.

he feels like you're just trying to comfort him when you tell him that you actually adore it. after your pieces are fired, and you're allowed to bring them home, he sees you use his mug. he sees you continue to use his mug with his painting on it weeks after too.

one day you're sipping from it and glancing at the slightly chubby puppy on its front. you smile at it fondly as you hold the cup, "i really love this, you know," you chuckle, finger tracing the puppy's cheeks.

he almost has to stop himself from blurting out, "well i love you." when he catches that thought, he realizes.

minghao:

hao realized he was in love when you went to travel to another country for a week. you sent him pictures from museums you visited of artwork you thought he would appreciate. you sent him food you ordered at a local restaurant, texting him: i'll bring you here one day because you'd like this! or we're coming back to this.

when you finally return form your trip, he helps you unpack and settle back in. however, what you're excited for is showing him everything you brought back for him.

"so i got you a couple things."

one of his hands is coming up to pat your head lovingly, "you didn't have to but thank you." he sits across you as you eagerly open up your suitcase and begin you little haul.

"so i got you this top at this local store there because the mesh has this slightly distressed feeling and you usually look good in these."

"then there were these little pins that i thought would be cute if we had matching ones."

"oh! there's this ring i found at a flea market and it reminded me of your usual jewelry!"

"and the last thing was.. drumroll please," you request and he starts patting his thighs to oblige, "some tea i thought you might want to try."

he's smiling as he picks up and examines the items you got him. when he notices you looking at him expectedly, asking him, "so what do you think?"

he knows it and he can't hold back, "i think i love you."

seungkwan:

he knows it when you tease him and he can't even find it in himself to get annoyed. you two probably have a series on ongoing jokes that neither of you can count.

where he'd usually get annoyed or whiny if one of his members teased him, he can't help but just look at you with adoration and you tease him with that smile. you're lightly teasing him, even bringing your face up close to his and all he can think of is kissing you.

"you're lucky i can't get mad at you," he rolls his eyes.

"you love me," you replies casually, not giving it much thought as you walk away from him.

"yeah maybe i do" he replies in a voice so low you don't hear him.

vernon:

sometimes you'd ask him if he wanted to do something random. so far you've made him watch that very weird indie movie, various weird food trends, and even pole dancing (he genuinely gave it his best effort). you'd ask him if he wanted to go with you on these mini adventures and no matter how weird, he'd usually say yes.

so one day, you ask him if he wants to try this new viral ice cream dessert that's been trending. even though some of these ventures have gotten you both to try underwhelming food, he still says sure.

as you're sitting in the shop, he watches you look at the donut and ice cream monstrosity in anticipation. "ok here i go," you announce, making sure to get a little bit of everything to get that 'perfect bite.'

"how is it?" he asks you, only to smile when your eyes light up. so it's a good food adventure day.

"oh my gosh, i think i just found my new favorite thing ever" you mumble with the ice cream in your mouth.

he watches as you push the dessert towards him, encouraging him to try it too. while he thinks that it's just a fine dessert, he could feel full watching you eat. ultimately, he feels happy that you're happy, and this is where he realizes.

dino:

in recent days his schedule had been so packed that he could barely see you, even more so since they had a comeback.

of course, he can't let his slight burn out show while he performs, but he can't ignore the weight on his heart. but still, he puts his best foot forward and gets up on stage.

what he isn't ready for is seeing you in the front of the crowd with a headband with his name on his. you've even come with one of those fans with his face on it.

the fans start cheering as they get in formation for the song and he feels recharged knowing you're in the audience. their song opens and he glances at you and sees that you're even participating in the fanchant. he knows his name is last and looks at you as you scream his name the loudest, giving him a wink too.

he feels alive and comforted. his new energy makes the song fly by without mistake and soon enough someone is already giving the camera their ending fairy. his eyes find you again and sees you blow him a kiss that makes his heart swell :')

As mentioned in my JunCheol analysis, I have STILL been seeing people criticize Jun's relationship with the members. I cannot stress enough how adorable and unique each ship is so I have decided to do an analysis.

Here is JunHan!

I feel like this pairing isn’t a rare sight to see because they actually often stay close to one another (whether intentional or not) so interactions are kinda inevitable.

BUT even so, I feel like this isn’t a popular ship because most of their interactions (similar to nearly all jun pairings) are quite lowkey.

Ok so now to start, I feel the need to point out that while Jeonghan is one of the members close to EVERYONE, there’s still something so refreshing about this duo. It isn’t as chaotic as the typical seventeen pairing you’d probably expect but instead, they’re both very soft for each other!

For example, Jeonghan is SO supportive of Jun, hyping him up every chance he gets. (Insert clips of jh saying “baksu” everytime jun says or does literally ANYTHING HUHU cuties) 

Jeonghan is also naturally clingy but I still find it so adorable when he clings onto Jun. (It’s usually jh grabbing jun’s arm or leaning on his shoulders) Mostly because I feel like Jun tends to get awkward with physical touch NOT initiated by him so the fact that he lets Jeonghan be that clingy is so cute. It also seems like he doesn’t mind, showing how it’s a natural and regular occurrence.

Observing their other interactions, I also noticed how Jun would often go to Jeonghan when he’s curious about something. You would always catch them whispering whether in the background of some GoSe episodes or even in random concert clips. The fact that this is a recurring thing means that he trusts Jeonghan enough to respond well to whatever he has to say.

Jun also seems like the type to hesitate to ask for favors so when he asked Jeonghan to buy him a blanket in one of their content (In the Soop 2) I WENT SOFT ON MY KNEES! It was just so nice seeing Jun ask Jeonghan with a soft voice and the latter responding the same way!

NOTE: I think it’s undeniable that Jeonghan is naturally reliable but I find it so wholesome when more quiet members like Jun express their gratitude because of how caring Jeonghan is (reference to that video of Jun thanking the older for being very considerate such as consistently asking if he's eaten his meals, etc). I find it so touching how Jun takes note of the little things and Jeonghan gets appreciated for being the members’ emotional support system.

In relation to this, the last point I’d like to make is when Jeonghan acts like a younger brother to Jun! This is particularly important to me because as we all know, Jun was like Seventeen’s “mother” before Jeonghan came so it’s nice to see Jun take care of the former for a change! Here are specific moments:

Do you remember that vlive where Jeonghan shared a story about jokingly (?) asking Jun to buy him a lego set? Jh wasn’t really expecting anything since it was a bit expensive, but Jun still bought it for him the next day because his hyung wanted it.

There’s also a part in the dingo drinking video where Jun reminded Jeonghan to slow down/calm down a bit because his arm injury wasn’t fully healed at the time.

Jeonghan also shared that Jun would NOT move an inch if you lay on his lap no matter how uncomfortable he may feel (reference to the 2nd picture!)

Idk about you but these give such big brother energy AND I LIVE FOR IT!

Overall, I love how even though they’re both known as the pranksters of svt, their relationship is actually very soft and they get along well!

"Hey babe," you said as he steps to the sode to let you walk in and you give him a tightly hug. "Hey," Woozi replied as he closed the door behind you. "What brings you here?" "I just wanted to see you, pluse we got some free time in our schedules for a few weeks" you said as you took off your (woozi's) coat and hung it over his computerchair. "Well, I'm glad you did," Woozi said as he led you over to the couch. "It's perfect cuddle weather." You smiled at him and snuggled up next to him on the couch. The both of you sat there for a while, listening to the rain outside and enjoying each other's company.

"I love nights like this," you said as you rest your head on Woozi's chest. "Me too," Woozi replied as he wrapped his arms around you securely. "It's so peaceful, now please save your work so we can stay like this all night." He sighed but did it and locked the computer only to come back to you as quickly as he left your arms.

You sat there in silence for a few minutes before speaking up again. "You know what would make this night even better?"  "What?" Woozi asked curiously. "If we watched a movie together," you suggested with a smile. Woozi grinned back at you. "That sounds like a great idea." The both of you left the studio and made your way to his room with all of the snacks on course.

After scrolling through Netflix for a bit, you both finally settled on an old classic movie that you both loved. As you watched the movie together, both of you couldn't help but make comments about certain scenes or characters that you found funny or interesting. It was one of those moments where everything felt perfect - being wrapped up in each other's arms, watching a great movie, and listening to the rain outside.

After the movie ended, and your eyes being low woozi decided to call it a night for the both of you. Woozi had gotten up from the be and stretched his arms out. "I should probably head home," you sat up fully and said with a yawn. Woozi shook his head in disagreement. "Yeah, no it's pretty late,cold and too wet for you to uber back home." You nodded you head walked over to the bathroom together to do your routine before you both crashed. Woozi had gotten done before you so he opened the window slightly to smell and hear the rain a lot better. Once finished with your routine you gave him a loving back hug. "Thanks for tonight, baby" you said with a smile pressed to his back. "I had a great time." "Me too," Woozi replied as he turned and hugged you back. "We should do this more often." he’s observant, so he notices he’s being put on the big screen almost right away, but he pretends he doesn’t. he just prefers not to make a big deal out of it and take the attention away from your performance, so he keeps clapping along to the music until the camera eventually pans away. but once you look at the clip more closely after the show, you’d notice the rosy tint to his ears and the barely noticeable curl of his lips.

another member who’s blissfully unaware of the fact that he was put on the big screens. he’s always so focused on the music during other performances, but especially when it’s you up there. he’s so busy watching you on stage that he doesn’t even notice his face plastered on the huge screens. one of the guys tells him when it’s gone, and it’s then when it clicks why the fans had screamed so loudly. gets a little flustered for the next few minutes, but it’s in the past so he doesn’t linger on it too much.

he’ll always be your biggest supporter, so once the cameramen see him happily singing along to your group’s song like a true fan they immediately turn the camera around to film him. he gives the camera a huge smile and thumbs-up, though if it focuses on him a little too long he’d point back to the stage as a way to tell them to film your performance instead, because you’re always the main character in his eyes. you two end up trending everywhere for being couple goals.

uh-oh. the camera would catch him right when he’s biting down on his lower lip seductively because he’s just so blown away by how you look, not just in terms of your outfit but also from how you’re oozing with sheer confidence. goes from 100 to 0 the second he realises he’s been caught, and it definitely leads to him being mercilessly teased by his members. probably even earns a few laughs from his other idol friends, which makes him revert back into shy puppy mode and hide behind his members.

he’s subtly mouthing along to your lines when the camera unexpectedly pans over to catch his reaction due to your recent dating news. his eyes widen a little and he freezes for a split second because he’s not sure how to deal with the sudden attention, especially when the audience starts screaming. but he recovers quickly and gives a little wave before the camera pans back to the stage, a soft blush on his cheeks as he devotes his full attention back to your performance.

as one of the most supportive, outgoing idols in the industry, absolutely no one is surprised when he jumps up and claps happily when you win an award. all cameras are on you both as you walk past where seventeen are sitting on your way to the stage, capturing the huge smiles you send each other. they show his face on the big screen sometime during your speech, and everyone can tell how whipped he is from his starry eyes while he watches you like the proud boyfriend he is.
