She has a hard time with change and an even harder time making friends because most other people can't follow her ways of thinking and get put off by the difference between her quiet shy masking state and the intense excited infodumping state she goes into when someone brings up a special interest. Every part of the anime that's narrated from her point of view is so raw and intimately relatable from an autistic view, there's absolutely no way there wasn't at least one member of the writing team that's autistic who designed her character to be autistic.
