"But, Commander Plant -" Zenon started, but he was quick to cut her off. According to him, she must have been asleep major to have heard anything on those inky radars other than white noise. She had been dosing, sure, but it was hardly enough for her to have heard something that wasn't there. And hadn't she already proven that she didn't just invent stories?

"Zetus Lapetus, I know what I heard! I mean, not what I heard, but I know that I definitely heard something." Of course, he didn't believe her and was asking for proof. In the meantime, it appeared she was playing tour guide for some lady. "Roger that," she said unenthusiastically, letting out a half-hearted two-finger salute to Commander Plank as he left the area.

Letting out a deep sigh, Zenon collected her thoughts before looking to her new charge. The woman didn't look that much older than her, and new people had to be scientifically-minded to even get a shot at housing. So, what was some... college student... doing here? "Hi. Sorry you don't get one of the commanders to show you around our space-stay, but... I probably know it better than all of them combined."
