I was originally going to post this on my alternate blog, however I quickly decided against it. Instead it's going to be a gift to a very special friend of mine (and coincidentally my internet wife).

@north-sta, thank you so much for supporting me throughout my writing journey. And thank you for providing us with the most incredible artwork. From fluffy rare pairings to NSFW works, your art is amazing. You have made talented art pieces based on my fanfictions. Now it's time for me to return the favor.

Zeldris was jolted awake, his upper body lurching forward from the nest of plush pillows, gasping loudly. His emerald eyes darted frantically around the darkened room, the glow of the moon illuminating the floor. His fingers dug into his chest as he fought to control his ragged breathing, his heartbeat pounding loudly in his ears.

The fire that had been lit long ago was smothered, not even the faintest flickering of an ember left. Zeldris scanned the room, gazing over the familiar items in the bedroom. A small oak desk was situated in the corner, papers from the previous day’s work scattered across the surface. A few clothes were discarded around the floor haphazardly. 

As he looked around the bedroom, his eyes shifted to the man sleeping peacefully next to him. Arthur Pendragon. The king of Camelot. His bright ginger hair was tousled from tossing and turning all night, his features smoothed into a calm, serene state as he slept. Zeldris slowly reached out a hand, lightly brushing his fingers against Arthur’s cheek. As he looked upon his lover, his mind continued to repeat the same phrase over and over again. 

It was just a nightmare. Arthur was alive. And he was safe. 

It had been several months since Arthur had been awoken from his brutal attempted murder, and awakened into the King of Chaos. The Holy War had finally drawn to a conclusion, with all the races living in peace. Although there was some initial distrust and hostility towards the Demon race, Arthur did everything in his power to prove to his people that Demons weren’t going to hurt them anymore. The time for violence and bloodshed was over.

Even after the end of the Holy War, Zeldris still had nightmares about that day. The day he thought he lost his second love. Zeldris had begged and pleaded for Arthur to stay away from the castle, saying that it was a death wish if he were to come back and demand Meliodas and the others left. The raven-haired male starkly remembered the sickening feeling that churned in his gut when his mentor had described to him how he disposed of Arthur. 

However tonight’s night terror was one of the worst ones that Zeldris had ever experienced in a long time, and even now he was unsettled. Instead of his usual nightmare, where he would walk up on Arthur’s bleeding body in a dark cave, Zeldris was forced to watch as Cusack stabbed Arthur himself, his feet glued to the ground. Zeldris was unable to move from where he was standing. His screams were silent, nothing coming out as he desperately tried to get Cusack to stop his assault. All he could do was watch through his own salty tears, horrified, as his own mentor stabbed Arthur through the heart with Excalibur, gazing upon the crimson blood that stained his uniform. 

For a fleeting second Zeldris thought of waking Arthur up to help him calm down from the hellish experience. However he hesitated, biting his tongue as he gazed upon Arthur’s sleeping form, his hand inches away from Arthur’s shoulder. The ginger had been working nonstop for weeks on end for his kingdom, barely getting enough sleep as it was to get through the exhausting days of politics and peace talks and fancy dinners. Arthur was one of the hardest working people he knew, giving it his all when he set his mind to a task. Zeldris did not want to disrupt what precious rest he got, not for such a trivial matter such as a nightmare. 

Feeling his hearts finally slowing from their rapid rate, Zeldris kicked the velvety covers off, slipping out of bed and padding silently across the wooden floors to the ornate glass doors. The cold of the metal handles nipped at the tips of his fingers as he briefly glanced over his shoulder to look at Arthur’s sleeping form one last time, before slipping onto the balcony. 

The evening was cool, autumn already having a firm grasp over the land. Winter was still several weeks away. The trees were washed in a stunning blend of orange, yellow and red as their leaves began to die. The full moon above cascaded a silver light upon the land, shedding the entire land in its glow. Zeldris leaned against the wooden railing of the balcony, feeling the autumn breeze shift against his hair. He closed his eyes, his breathing slow and steady as he immersed himself with the nature around him. 

The door gently opened behind him, Zeldris quickly turning around to gaze upon Arthur. Arthur blinked sleepily at him as he too stepped onto the balcony, stifling a yawn. “What are you doing out here, Zel?” Arthur asked quietly, his voice still groggy from sleep. “You should go back to bed,” Zeldris murmured as he faced Arthur fully, watching his lover grab his hand softly. Arthur shook his head, a soft smile playing on his face as he ran his thumb over Zeldris’ knuckles. 

“I’m not going to bed until my boyfriend tells me what he was doing out here.” Gazing into Arthur’s amethyst eyes, he felt himself getting choked up again, the memories of the nightmare coming back to him jarringly. He quickly looked away, unable to say the words that tingled on the tip of his tongue. Arthur was quick to wrap both arms around him, bringing the demon in close as he softly nuzzled into Zeldris’ raven hair. 

Subconsciously, Zeldris twisted in Arthur’s grip, his own arms snaking around Arthur’s muscular form. He pressed his forehead against Arthur’s chest, his fingers digging lightly into Arthur’s shoulder blades. Finally, Arthur broke the silence. “You had another nightmare, didn’t you?” Zeldris nodded, unable to hide the secret from him anymore. He swallowed, his eyes fluttering shut as he felt the ginger’s fingers weave through his dark hair, massaging his scalp in slow circles. 

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Arthur asked quietly. The demon shook his head, grunting softly as he responded in a low tone. “I didn’t want to bother you with such nonsense,” he muttered, his eyes downcast. “You’ve been working nonstop for several weeks now. You barely get enough sleep as it is. I didn’t. . . I didn’t want to wake you up for a childish thing.” Arthur snorted comically, pulling away to look Zeldris in the eyes, an eyebrow raised incredulously. 

A playful smile donned his face. “All living creatures have nightmares, Zeldris,” he whispered. “ From street mutts to even you demons. There’s no shame in getting comfort from a nightmare.” His hands drifted back down, grasping Zeldris’ in his own as he gazed into his emerald orbs. “It’s not a bother at all, Zeldris. You’ve comforted me more times than I can count when I have a nightmare. I don’t mind losing sleep in order to help my boyfriend calm down and make sure he knows loved and alright. I always have time for you, even when it’s the middle of the night.”  

Both men fell silent, Zeldris tucking himself under Arthur’s chin again as he sighed. Arthur’s arms wrapped around him once again, cupping his neck as he kissed the top of his head softly. “The nightmare was about. . . that day,” he whispered. Arthur made a small noise of understanding in the back of his throat, subtly holding Zeldris closer to himself, his hand rubbing up and down his spine. The ginger always knew how to calm him down, the fingers that stroked lightly along his back making his mind melt. 

 “Just listen, Zeldris,” Arthur murmured, “Listen to my heartbeat. Feel my fingers stroking along your skin. Massaging your scalp. My whispered words in the chilly autumn night. I am alive, and I am safe. You have nothing to worry about anymore. Cusack is gone, and cannot harm me anymore.” Arthur brought Zeldris’ head up, his fingers gently cupping under his chin as they brought their heads in for a soft kiss. Blinking away fresh tears, Zeldris pressed the side of his head against Arthur’s chest. He could hear the faint beating of Arthur’s heart as it pumped blood throughout his body. 

Arthur was alive. He was here. They were safe.

Zeldris gazed out at the expansive meadow before them, gazing upon the navy sky that was dotted with stars. The horizon was starting to glow faintly, sunrise approaching rapidly. And yet Zeldris had no intention of going back to bed. He was at peace here, wrapped in Arthur’s arms and watching the world slowly wake up from its slumber.

King of Chaos Arthur x Male!Reader

Warnings: Reader is the son of Zeldris and Gelda, Spoilers from manga chapters 104 - 108 aprox. (nothing really big, just storywise)

Word count: 1342

Thank the anon who requested it for his OC! I tried contacting him days ago because I'm not used to doing requests specifically for OCs (I prefer that my works are more "general" so the most people are able to insert themselves or their OCs in the stories) but since this was requested some time ago I couldn't receive an answer. In the end I decided to publish it writing (Y/N) instead of the OC's name, but keeping his main characteristics. That way if the OP who requested it comes through this he can just insert their name and know it was written specially for him, and at the same time other people can enjoy easily the oneshot too! Hope you like it!

Generally speaking, Arthur's knights don't usually comprehend some of his majesty behaviours. His mood changes whenever you least expect it. Just when you think you know his strategy, he says something you would never have thought about. Was he having a good or a bad day behind that smile? Who knows. But what they do know is his hatred for other races except humans.

Except that maybe that isn't really true, since their king has been visited by a certain someone from time to time, who was not only a demon, but half demon and half vampire.

Today was one of those days. The secret entrance that connected Camelot with the demon realm (and that was made specially for him) activated, and a familiar face passed through. Arthur didn't waste no time, and upon noticing his entrance he went to welcome him back

"A surprise visit today (Y/N)? You always like to impress me, don't you?" - The King approached him laughing - "Although I would prefer if you told me beforehand, that way I can at least prepare something and make sure I have no appointments"

(Y/N) didn't change his serious expression, arms crossed and looking directly to Arthur while the entrance behind him closed.

"I wish I was here just to kill some time, but this time was urgent. I couldn't stay anymore there"

Arthur stopped laughing and tilted his head, now curious of what had happened for him to be talking like that.

"That really isn't new with you, but what happened this time?"

"The four knights have entered the demon realm" - Arthur smirked at the information, seeing that Guinevere's words weren't a lie.

"Oh, I know, some of my knights are already following them, anything else I should know?"

"Well, I know my parents have already talked to the green haired one, Percival I think it was... and he was accompanied by a few more people..." - (Y/N) looked away while thinking for a few seconds, with a subtly sorrowful expression on his face that only could be noticed while paying extreme attention to him - "Mmh... I also saw my cousin there, Tristan... don't tell me he is what I think he is" He looked back at Arthur, who was smiling once again, trying to control his laugh

"So you didn't know it? I thought your parents maybe had told you... ~ But yes, he is one of the prophecy knights"

(Y/N) frowned, not wanting to believe a close member of his family had just become one of his biggest enemies

"By my father's look, it seems that he didn't know about it"

"So Meliodas didn't want to risk his son's life by spreading information, typical of him" - Arthur shrugged and started walking, inviting (Y/N) to follow him - "It must have been a big surprise for all of you"

"Everything has been a surprise since they entered the realm if I'm being honest. I've heard my father talk wonders about Percival, it looks like the whole clan adores him since years ago, and I didn't know anything about what had happened until now. It feels like my parents decided to drop every ounce of unknown information today, and the worst part is that it affects us" - (Y/N) clicked his tongue thinking about it - "I hate it"

"Can't blame you. I don't like them either ~" - Arthur responded with a bratty laugh, followed by a deep sigh from his companion, which made him stop his laughing once again, looking at him out of the corner of his eye - "Sorry, but you already know the story behind it, I can't bring myself to tolerate them just one bit"

"Yeah, I know, I can't defend them I guess. Anyways, I do need to tell you something else"

Arthur turned his head to face him again

"Wait, there's even more?" - (Y/N) nodded, looking at his surprised violet eyes

"Did you know that another portal to Camelot has appeared in the demon realm?"

Arthur's eyes opened with surprise, being this information the only thing he really didn't know about

"I didn't have any idea. I've never done any other connection with the demon realm besides your entrance. And I also didn't sense anyone entering from there"

"No wonder, since that opening is inaccessible for now. It's on the Behemoth's back, a giant monster which was put to sleep almost 15 years ago. I heard my father say that it recently woke up and now can be a big problem for us living in the realm, since when it's active it swallows up all life, including us demons or vampires... If that isn't your doing or your knights then I don't know what's happening"

"I see, well I don't think I have to worry that much then; although it might be because of those knights of the apocalypse, everyday giving me headaches... And besides, that would gather the attention to that one entrance, and not the one I made exclusively for you, which benefits us both, don't you think so? - Arthur smiled happily, closing his eyes - "If it ever becomes a problem you can come here! That's all I care about that matter"

"Thinking about it that way, I guess you are right" - (Y/N) lowered his head, thinking about his words and all the information he had to understand in just a few hours. Arthur opened his eyes, looking at him, noticing how lost in his thoughts (Y/N) was.

"Too much information huh? Understandable... but I'm glad you didn't waste time and came as fast as possible to explain it to me" - Arthur patted his head softly - "I knew making an exception for you was the right decision. But I also feared this moment, the moment when you would doubt yourself and how to proceed. Now that your parents are also involved, along with your clans, and helping my enemies; you want to help me, but at the same time it becomes more difficult, am I right? Can I also say that you might be a little scared? Scared of making the wrong decision, scared of losing what you love here in Camelot if you fail, and being considered a traitor at the same time. Nowhere to go in the end"

(Y/N) looked back at him, alarmed, trying to answer him fast, but the only words that initially left his lips were gibberish

"Arthur I-! I swore to help you and I'll keep doing it, it's just... too much information for the day as you said... I'll need to prepare myself for everything" - He took a deep breath - "But I know I'm in the right place, and I won't look back now... Because, I can also count with your protection, right?"

Arthur took back his hand from his head, smiling softly

"(Y/N), I'll be clear: Your safety is my priority, don't ever think the contrary" - A tint of blush appeared on both of them - "I'm just advising you to be careful so we don't need to take greater measures. Nothing would make happier than if you could live a "normal" life seeing the circumnstances. And think about having one of my marks, it would be safer"

(Y/N) turned his eyes away from Arthur's intense glare, breathing deeply

"Hmm... I'll think about it. The problem is if they ever see it, I won't be able to cover that up as easily as the entrance"

"Fair enough. We can discuss it again when I have the coffin of eternal darkness with me, that way you'll be free from its effect" - Arthur took (Y/N)'s hand, leaning to kiss its back - "Now... if you have told me everything you wanted, what about we spend the rest of the evening here?" - Arthur separated his face from (Y/N)'s hand, and continued walking holding his hand - "I could use some company while I wait for the results of this mission"

Gelda and S/O fun for you!!!!

S/O once came home with a box of free doughnuts. Gelda could tell something was off about S/O and asked what she was doing that day.

S/O was donating some Blood as they were giving away free doughnuts to everyone that's been donating. Unfortunately S/O started Donating to much blood cause everytime she did she would get more Doughnuts. Eventually one of the staff just gave her the WHOLE BOX of doughnuts so S/O would stop with her donating.

So...S/O got a free box of Doughnuts and a concerned and scolding Vampire the rest of the day.

Bonus Gelda told Arthur and Zeldris about it when they got back from MINI Golf.....Arthur and Zeldris didn't take the news well...

S/O: "But...you don't understand! FREE DOUGHNUTS!!!"

Arthur of course is very concerned about their S/O, as she gave out quite a bit of blood. Thankfully, she didn't pass out from it. Zeldris was more disappointed than concerned, but concerned nonetheless. Arthur frowns as he looks at her worriedly. "Are you sure you're okay, love?"

She nods as she shoves another doughnut in her mouth. "Yup. M'fine, Arthur.I pwomise," she says muffledly.

Hey there! My day has been kinda ‘meh,’ but otherwise things have been alright. Thanks for requesting! This is my first request, and I hope you like it!

I figured I would do headcanons for this particular request, since there’s multiple characters listed. Hopefully I did the prompt justice!

Arthur, Zeldris, and Meliodas with an Affectionate Reader S/O

Arthur

Arthur absolutely adores and will accept all forms of affection from you, no matter how small.

He's very affectionate himself, so he'll return the gesture.

If you catch him off guard- say, you run up behind him and hug him, or give him a surprise peck on the cheek -he'll blush profusely and start giggling.

His giggles are contagious and are literally the cutest thing ever. You melt whenever you hear his cute little laugh.

Cuddles and physical affection are personally his favorite type of affection, but he's not exactly picky when it comes to that. He tries to be humble, and even if you insist, he'll insist right back.

He doesn't mind when you sit in his lap. He could be in the middle of a meeting with the Knights of the Roundtable and he would gladly let you sit with him. He'll wrap his arms around you and hug you gently while still somehow paying attention to his meeting.

He's cutely clingy to you, but he won't admit why. He'll hug you for as long as humanly possible and won't let you go.

Whenever he starts to get anxious, you're always able to cheer him up with a hug and a little peck on his cheek. You're the light of his life and he feels better mentally when he's around you.

You like to play with his cowlick, and he doesn't mind it at all.

As the King of Chaos, he doesn't particularly change too much when it comes to your affection.

If he wasn't clingy before, he certainly is now, except on a much more extreme level. You aren't allowed to leave his sight, although you're usually fine with it because it means more cuddles for you.

If you try to pull away from him while you're hugging, he'll pull you right back in. Usually you're fine with it, although he's surprisingly strong with only one arm.

He likes being kissed on the nose.

A short time after he lost his arm, you tried to kiss his left shoulder once, but he flinched away when you tried. He gave you a solemn look immediately afterwards, and from that day onwards, you stopped trying to touch his left shoulder at all.

Despite how terrifying Arthur is to everyone in Britannia, he's still incredibly soft and gentle with you, just like he was before he gained Chaos.

The sweet nothings you whisper in his ear make him feel less like a monster- as many call him. Your support and affection make him feel more human.

Sometimes, Arthur lets you touch his scar on his chest from Excalibur. He sleeps shirtless, but you opt not to touch it unless he says you can, because you don't want to trigger his anxiety.

When he gets angered and his sclera's turn black due to Chaos, the only way to draw him out of his anger is to put your hands on either sides of his face and pressed your forehead to his. Encouraging him to breath with you also helps. This method is also useful for when he's having an anxiety/panic attack.

Both in his Chaos form and as a regular human, Arthur is very big on consent, and he won't do anything without getting your permission first. He wants to make sure you're as comfortable around him as possible, and are able to trust that he won't harm you.

Arthur often calls you loving, but respectful nicknames, like "my lady," "my bride," "my Queen," "my love," "my sunshine," and others. You often call him by names of a similar fashion.

Zeldris

Zeldris gets *very* flustered whenever you show even the smallest bit of affection towards him. His face will turn red and he stammers a lot.

He's not used to having an affection partner. He's usually very against physical touch, but he warms up to it the more he's exposed to it.

He doesn't often initiate any hugs or affection, usually you're the one who has to do it.

Zeldris has no clue how to reciprocate your affection. At all. He's rather awkward about it for awhile until he starts to understand it.

When he hugs you, he latches onto you like a koala. You tease him about it a lot, and he protests and pouts like a child when you do. He secretly enjoys it, but he wouldn't tell you that to your face.

He also clings to you in your sleep. He doesn't want you to leave him in the middle of the night, so he does this so you'll stay (and it definitely works).

He doesn't know how to say "I love you" without choking up and being unable to speak at all.

"I love you, Zel."

"Uh- I- th-thank you, (y/n)!"

You're not allowed to sneak up behind him. If you do, he'll freak out. You know this from experience- the one time you tried, he accidentally gave you a bloody nose (to which he apologized for profusely and gave you a few kisses to make up for it).

He acts tough around his friends and his brother, but he's really a big softie towards you.

You have to bend down in order to kiss Zeldris on the cheek, and he gets a little pouty about that. He often jumps up so he can plant a kiss on your lips- but if you try to pick him up, he will not be happy.

He's rather sensitive, surprisingly. You often have to reassure him that everything is okay and that he's safe before you two go to bed, but not without a goodnight kiss and a soft "I love you" murmured into his ear.

Since he's pretty bad at reciprocating your affection physically or verbally, he often gets you cute little gifts to make up for it. Usually its flowers or jewelry, since he doesn't really know what you like unless you specifically tell him.

Sometimes, if he gets worked up and wants to use his demon magic for violence, you step in and wrap your arms around him in order to calm him down. If that doesn't work, you have to talk him down in a soft voice with reassurances in hopes that he'll calm down. Usually, it works.

Meliodas

Unlike his brother, Meliodas actually knows how to reciprocate affection and will do so lovingly.

He prefers physical touch over anything else from you. His love language is words of affirmation, and he is a great motivator for you.

You often ruffle his hair teasingly, and he doesn't mind in the slightest.

He's a very reassuring and charming person towards you. If he senses that you're feeling upset, he'll flash you his little smile and try to assure you that he'll protect you.

He's incredibly protective of you, to the point that nobody else is allowed to even touch you without his permission. He will protect you from anything, no matter what it is.

He tries to be respectful of your boundaries and doesn't attempt to touch you like he would Elizabeth. It's a little awkward for him to resist, but at the same time, he wants to assure your comfort.

If you kiss him or hug him around the rest of the Sins, he'll blush and nestle his face against you. The other Sins find you two incredibly cute and often tease their Captain about how smitten he is with you.

Meliodas will only tell you he loves you when you two are alone. He's not trying to be rude, he only does it because he cherishes you and the intimate moments you two have together, and he doesn't want other people to ruin it for the both of you.

Since he has a rather long title, he dubbed you with one as well, even if it doesn't make sense in the slightest. It's an inside joke between the two of you.

You also often mimic him whenever he says "sate, sate, sate"/"well, well, well," because you think it's cute how often he says it. He gets embarrassed but he doesn't try to stop you, because he knows you won't.

Similarly to Zeldris, when Meliodas is in his Assault Mode, his anger is often quelled by your encouraging touch. However, it's definitely harder for him to calm down in this state, because of how deep his anger is while he's influenced by this power.

You hold his hand with both of yours and squeeze it firmly to get his attention, then look him in the eyes. Just by seeing you distressed by his actions, he'll calm down and reassure you that everything is okay.

He's actually very laid back most of the time, which means he always has time to be with you and not have to worry about anything other than your happiness.
