fellow fansies - I have complied a (hopefully) comprehensive list of cast members for anyone new to the fandom or for those who may like a refresher on the casts. I've not included every single character, just the main ones, so if you'd like a character adding just ask; also if you notice any cast members are missing or have been labelled incorrectly in any way, please let me know, I want this list to be as accurate as possible. characters with a dash (-) for any of the categories I wasn't sure if they were included in that production or not. if you're able to fill in any of the blanks that would be much appreciated. any questions, please let me know <3

Stir of Echoes (1999)
Blue-collar family man Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) scoffs at supernatural phenomena -- until he lets his wife's sister, Lisa (Illeana Douglas), put him into a hypnotic trance. Upon waking, Tom realizes he has a psychic connection with his son, Jake (Zachary David Cope). He also has alarming hallucinations of a missing teenage neighbor named Samantha (Jennifer Morrison). Tom, convinced his visions will lead him to the girl, begins a desperate search that puts him into a life-threatening situation.

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - October 29, 2016 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Josh Groban (Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Gelsey Bell (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Nicholas Belton (Andrey/Bolkonsky) NOTES: Nice HD capture of this immersive production that take place all over the theater. Everything is captured as best as can be done in this setting. A beautiful production with so many layers and phenomenal performances. A- Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - November 16, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Scott Stangland (s/b Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Gelsey Bell (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Nicholas Belton (Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga) NOTES: A great HD capture of this immersive production that take place all over the theater. This was Scott's first performance going on for Pierre and he did a wonderful job. A very innovative show with great music and terrific performances. A- Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - December 29, 2016 (SJ Bernly's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Josh Groban (Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Gelsey Bell (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Nicholas Belton (Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga) NOTES: Fantastic and powerful performances from the whole cast. This is as nicely captured as can be expected from this show. There are several set pieces that obstruct the view of the action in certain places. There are about fourteen minutes of blackouts: most of the first seven minutes of act one, one and a half minutes of The Private and Intimate Life of the House, one minute of The Ball, three minutes of Balaga, one minute of The Abduction, and a couple other quick dropouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - June 27, 2017 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) | TRADER'S NOTES: Act 2 only CAST: Shoba Narayan (u/s Natasha), Dave Malloy (t/r Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Courtney Bassett (u/s Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Ken Wulf Clark (u/s Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga) NOTES: A Great HD capture of creator Dave Malloy stepping in for a limited run of shows. Beautiful performance from South Asian actress Shoba as Natasha. A few heads shot around in a couple of scenes downstage, but usually worked around when present. A- Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - August 13, 2017 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) | TRADER'S NOTES: Highlights CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Okieriete Onaodowan (Pierre), Ingrid Michaelson (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Courtney Bassett (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Nicholas Belton (Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture from the Orchestra of Oak and Ingrid's Final Performances. Hands down the best capture of this show and from the perfect angle. All drama aside, Oak gave a rousing performance. A Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 - Broadway - September 3, 2017 (Closing Night) (Highlights) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Denée Benton (Natasha), Dave Malloy (Pierre), Brittain Ashford (Sonya), Grace McLean (Marya D.), Lucas Steele (Anatole), Amber Gray (Hélène), Manik Choksi (Dolokhov), Gelsey Bell (Mary/Opera Singer/Maidservant), Blaine Alden Krauss (u/s Andrey/Bolkonsky), Paul Pinto (Balaga) NOTES: Highlights filmed on phone only, sometimes films vertical. It includes Daves first entrance, prologue, Anatoles opera entrance, parts of the Abduction, the end of Pierre and Anatole, Pierre and Andrey and The Great Comet of 1812. Only known footage of the final show. mp4 and mov. A New Brain - Encores! A New Brain - Off-Broadway - August, 1998 FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Lewis Cleale (Gordon), Norm Lewis (Roger), Penny Fuller (Mimi), Chip Zien (Mr. Bungee), Liz Larsen (Rhoda), Michael Mandell (Richard), Kristin Chenoweth (Nancy D), John Jellison (Dr. Jafar Berensteiner), Keith Byron Kirk (The Minister), Mary Testa (Lisa) Newsies - Broadway - March 17, 2012 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Jeremy Jordan (Jack Kelly), Ben Fankhauser (Davey Jacobs), Kara Lindsay (Katherine Plumber), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Crutchie), John Dossett (Joseph Pulitzer), Capathia Jenkins (Medda Larkin), Matthew Schechter (Les Jacobs) NOTES: Actually the better one of Sunset's 2 boots of this show. The other one done in July is shakier, with some dropouts and obstruction from heads. Newsies - Broadway - February 10, 2013 (Eleka Nahmen's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Corey Cott (Jack Kelly), Ben Fankhauser (Davey Jacobs), Kara Lindsay (Katherine Plumber), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Crutchie), John Dossett (Joseph Pulitzer), LaVon Fisher-Wilson (Medda Larkin), Nicholas Lampiasi (Les Jacobs), Ryan Breslin (Race), Andy Richardson (Romeo), Brendon Stimson (Oscar Delancey), Mike Faist (Morris Delancey), Tommy Bracco (Spot Conlon), Aaron J Albano (Finch), John Michael Fiumara (Specs), Evan Kasprzak (Elmer), Garett Hawe (Albert), Iain Young (Henry), Jess LeProtto (Buttons), Jacob Guzman (Sniper/Scab), David Guzman (Mush), Hogan Fulton (Darcy) NOTES: Two separate recordings that were put together by the same master. The majority of the video is a stationary low quality wide shot, while the rest is mostly just closeups and mediums. Quality is much better during the zooms. Ends after "Once and for all". Newsies - Broadway - August 23, 2014 (SJ Bernly's master)
FORMAT: video CAST: Corey Cott (Jack Kelly), Ben Fankhauser (Davey Jacobs), Liana Hunt (Katherine Plumber), Andy Richardson (Crutchie), John Dossett (Joseph Pulitzer), Capathia Jenkins (Medda Larkin), Luca Padovan (Les Jacobs), Giuseppe Bausilio (Race), Tommy Martinez (Romeo), Brendon Stimson (Oscar Delancey), Adam Kaplan (Morris Delancey), JP Ferreri (u/s Finch), John Michael Fiumara (Specs), Evan Kasprzak (Elmer), Daniel Quadrino (Albert), John E Brady (Wiesel/Mr. Jacobi/Mayor), Stuart Marland (Snyder), Tom Alan Robbins (Theodore Roosevelt), Iain Young (Henry), Damon Gillespie (Buttons), Jacob Guzman (Sniper/Scab), Mark Aldrich (Seitz), Stuart Zagnit (Bunsen), Molly Jobe (Hannah), David Guzman (Mush), Nico James (Darcy) NOTES: The last show open to the public. The audience is very reactive and the cast gives and amazing performance. Newsies - Broadway - August 24, 2014 (Closing Night) (Highlights)

Newsies - First National Tour - October 25, 2014 (Highlights)
FORMAT: video CAST: Dan DeLuca (Jack Kelly), Jacob Kemp (Davey Jacobs), Stephanie Styles (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Angela Grovey (Medda Larkin), Ben Cook (Race), Nico DeJesus (Romeo), John Hacker (Oscar Delancey), Michael Ryan (Morris Delancey), Julian DeGuzman (Finch), Jordan Samuels (Specs), Jeff Heimbrock (Elmer), Sky Flaherty (Albert), John E Brady (Wiesel/Mr. Jacobi/Mayor), James Judy (Snyder), Kevin Carolan (Theodore Roosevelt), DeMarius R Copes (Henry), Chaz Wolcott (Buttons), Ginna Claire Mason (Sniper/Scab), Mark Aldrich (Seitz), Bill Bateman (Bunsen), Meredith Inglesby (Hannah), Jack Sippel (Mush), Joshua Burrage (Darcy) NOTES: Yes, there are really two separate highlights compilations from this show. Highlights running 27 minutes long; includes Santa Fe (prologue), Carrying the Banner, The World Will Know, Seize the Day, Santa Fe (Reprise), King of New York, Once and For All, and Curtain Call. Act One videos are filmed pretty far back so it is pixely, some heads and washout. Act Two clips filmed from first row. Newsies - First National Tour - October 25, 2014 (Highlights) FORMAT: MOV (SD) CAST: Dan DeLuca (Jack Kelly), Jacob Kemp (Davey Jacobs), Stephanie Styles (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Angela Grovey (Medda Larkin), Ben Cook (Race), Nico DeJesus (Romeo), John Hacker (Oscar Delancey), Michael Ryan (Morris Delancey), Julian DeGuzman (Finch), Jordan Samuels (Specs), Jeff Heimbrock (Elmer), Sky Flaherty (Albert), John E Brady (Wiesel/Mr. Jacobi/Mayor), James Judy (Snyder), Kevin Carolan (Theodore Roosevelt), DeMarius R Copes (Henry), Chaz Wolcott (Buttons), Ginna Claire Mason (Sniper/Scab), Mark Aldrich (Seitz), Bill Bateman (Bunsen), Meredith Inglesby (Hannah), Jack Sippel (Mush), Joshua Burrage (Darcy) NOTES: Yes, there are really two separate highlights compilations from this show. Vertical highlights running 34 minutes long; includes Carrying the Banner, The World Will Know, Seize the Day, King of New York, and Letters from the Refuge. The clips have a lot of spotlight washout and do have heads and a bar in the video at times. Newsies - First National Tour - December 21, 2014 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Dan DeLuca (Jack Kelly), Jacob Kemp (Davey Jacobs), Stephanie Styles (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Ben Cook (Race), John Hacker (Oscar Delancey), Michael Ryan (Morris Delancey), Julian DeGuzman (Finch), Jeff Heimbrock (Elmer), Sky Flaherty (Albert), John E Brady (Wiesel/Mr. Jacobi/Mayor), DeMarius R Copes (Henry), Jack Sippel (Mush), Joshua Burrage (Darcy) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the tour cast with no obstructions. Solid cast and performances. This includes the new song written for Crutchie, "Letter from the Refuge" as it was added for the tour. Newsies - First National Tour - September 15, 2015 (kradder32's master)
FORMAT: video CAST: Dan DeLuca (Jack Kelly), Jacob Kemp (Davey Jacobs), Stephanie Styles (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Kevin Carolan (u/s Joseph Pulitzer), Angela Grovey (Medda Larkin), Jonathan Fenton (Les Jacobs), Eric Jon Mahlum (Theodore Roosevelt), Melissa Steadman Hart (Hannah) Newsies - First National Tour - January 8, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Joey Barreiro (Jack Kelly), Stephen Michael Langton (Davey Jacobs), Morgan Keene (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Aisha de Haas (Medda Larkin), Ethan Steiner (Les Jacobs) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture with no obstructions. This features the new cast that just took over the roles. Still a top notch tour and Joey has such a big beautiful voice! A+ Newsies - First National Tour - March 6, 2016 (kradder32's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Joey Barreiro (Jack Kelly), Stephen Michael Langton (Davey Jacobs), Morgan Keene (Katherine Plumber), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Aisha de Haas (Medda Larkin), John Michael Pitera (Les Jacobs), Andrew Wilson (u/s Darcy) NOTES: A nice capture from the front orchestra, that results in some great close ups! This DVD gives you a perspective that most Newsies captures’ cannot. Zachary Sayle and Morgan Keene are huge standouts and gave fantastic performances. The action is followed nicely given the proximity to the stage, but some pieces of action have the focus delayed or are missed, as you can probably assume, dance numbers are hard to follow this close to the stage. Chaz gave a very funny BCEFA speech that is included (audio only). This capture is more wobbly than the (3/17) performance given where it was filmed in the theatre, near perfect audio that is synced with my Zoom H2. Newsies - First National Tour - September 11-15, 2016 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Jeremy Jordan (Jack Kelly), Ben Fankhauser (Davey Jacobs), Kara Lindsay (Katherine Plumber), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Aisha de Haas (Medda Larkin), Ethan Steiner (Les Jacobs), Ben Cook (Race), Nico DeJesus (Romeo), Anthony Norman (Oscar Delancey), Devin Lewis (Morris Delancey), Tommy Bracco (Spot Conlon), Iain Young (Finch), Jordan Samuels (Specs), Anthony Zas (Elmer), Sky Flaherty (Albert), John E Brady (Wiesel/Mr. Jacobi/Mayor), James Judy (Snyder), Kevin Carolan (Theodore Roosevelt), Chaz Wolcott (Buttons) NOTES: Filmed on stage in Hollywood Pantages Theatre on September 11 2016 followed by extra filming in 4 days. Distributed on dvd and online in 2017. Newsies - Pre-Broadway / Papermill Playhouse, Millburn - September-October, 2011 (Highlights) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Jeremy Jordan (Jack Kelly), Ben Fankhauser (Davey Jacobs), Kara Lindsay (Katherine Plumber), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Crutchie), John Dossett (Joseph Pulitzer), Capathia Jenkins (Medda Larkin), Matthew Schechter (Les Jacobs) NOTES: Hightlights of the only footage from the show's Pre-Broadway run. Highlights are out of order and from multiple dates. Two files are just audios from October 16. The video is completely obstructed the entire time. Newsies - Ziegfeld Theatre - March, 2020 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Dylan Brinkman (Jack Kelly), Boston Gunther (Davey Jacobs), Kenzie Stiger (Katherine Plumber), Max Carter (Crutchie), Kevin Ireland (Joseph Pulitzer) Next to Normal - Broadway - March 28, 2009 (Preview) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), J Robert Spencer (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) Next to Normal - Broadway - April 4, 2009 (Matinee) (Preview) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), J Robert Spencer (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) Next to Normal - Broadway - April 10, 2009 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), J Robert Spencer (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: Beautiful capture of the full original cast, from the orchestra. This hands down is the best capture of the original cast. This was done early in Alice's run, before she had strained her voice. Wonderful to revisit this show in all its glory! A+ Next to Normal - Broadway - March 18, 2010 (juniper47's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Jessica Phillips (s/b Diana), J Robert Spencer (Dan), Kyle Dean Massey (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: Master: juniper47 (released under the name greekymuse on Yahoo) Next to Normal - Dortmund - 2016 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Maya Hakvoort (Diana), Rob Fowler (Dan), Johannes Huth (Gabe), Eve Rades (Natalie), Dustin Smailes (Henry), Jörg Neubauer (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) Next to Normal - First National Tour - April 29, 2011 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Pearl Sun (u/s Diana), Asa Somers (Dan), Curt Hansen (Gabe), Emma Hunton (Natalie), Preston Sadleir (Henry), Jeremy Kushnier (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: Beautiful capture with no obstructions. Sensational performance from Pearl as Diana. She is in my tops for actresses playing the role. Great tenderness and vulnerability with a strong big voice! Don't miss this one! A Next to Normal - Fürth, Germany - November 2, 2013 (musicalwasmyfirstlove's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Pia Douwes (Diana), Thomas Borchert (Dan), Dirk Johnston (Gabe), Sabrina Weckerlin (Natalie), Dominik Hees (Henry), Ramin Dustdar (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: Missing the first 10 minutes of Act 2 ("Wish I Were Here" / "Wär ich nur da") A great quality recording of the German version of "Next to Normal" retitled "Fast Normal" (Almost Normal). The cast is wondeful and got a standing ovation that lasted a couple of minutes. Next to Normal - Off-Broadway / Second Stage - February 11, 2008 (broadwayspunk's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), Brian d'Arcy James (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Asa Somers (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: This is not a great DVD by any means; I was sitting there, producers were behind me, as well as Matthew Scott and Jacqui Polk in front of me, ushers on either sight lines behind me. I held the camera to my chest for the entire show and caught whatever I could. It is blind shot, so there is absolutely no zooms. First video of the original Off-Broadway run. Next to Normal - Off-Broadway / Second Stage - March 13, 2008 (broadwayspunk's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), Brian d'Arcy James (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Asa Somers (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: This includes Alice's flip out in the beginning to replace all the Costco stuff. It was a fantastic show and an even better video than my previous 3/1/08 master. I shot it in a different style to showcase more of the stage (since you can only stare at someone's face for so long). Really emotional times in the theatre and you can hear sniffles in the camera. Recorded three days before the show was closed and rewritten. Next to Normal - Pre-Broadway / Arena Stage - December 20, 2008 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alice Ripley (Diana), J Robert Spencer (Dan), Aaron Tveit (Gabe), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Adam Chanler-Berat (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden) NOTES: Great capture of the PreBroadway engagement in DC, with no obstructions. OH GODS OKAY HERE WE GO!
1. Tell us about your WIP! - I have multiple... but I’ll give the skinny on each of them (yes I really did just say that).
So, one is a Tomb Raider/ Percy Jackson crossover, it’ll use Classic Core Lara’s canon (tho I will adapt TR: Legend’s and Underworld’s plots for the classic canon). It’s still in the conceptual phase as I've yet to come up with an actual plot, only an idea involving a multi-faith cult trying to destroy the world...
There’s my sci-fi one. It’s about a guy named Elliot, he works for the Planetary Security Agency on the planet, 19582003 “Kristina”, and while he’s techinically a mercenary/assassin, he mostly just works for them. Right now I’ve got a plot involving him systematically killing off a crime family and bringing down their organization, tho other stories will have him infiltrate military bases, research facilities, and assassinate targets.
I also have an epic fantasy one centering around the history of the continent Kyris. I think this one will be mostly bits and pieces of Kyris’s history, tho a special focus will be in the time period surrounding the Shadow Crisis (a pan dimensional invasion that devastated the Valley of the Colossi).
Then there is a low fantasy sorta drama thing set in the fictional town of Augustus, WA. My main character is a vampire named Zachary (AKA Nico di Angelo as an asexual Russian vampire) and his best friend/soulmate Mathias. There’s also his step sister Rosanne, her friends Marie, Jasper and Nathan. It will mostly center on Zach and Mathias tho.
And finally there is a mystery series set in the fictional Bellingham Academy, a private school in New England. This one is actually set in the same world as Augustus. This one’s about a group of kids named Orion, David, Kendra, and Kiki as they discover a cult operating in the catacombs beneath their school.
There are others (such as my superhero ones) but these ones are the most developed stuff I have
15. How do you deal with self-doubt when writing? - I mostly just try to forget it, but sometimes I will actually take a break, and draw something, then feel bad about not writing, and use that guilt to get me to write again.
18. Tell us about that one book you’ll never let anyone read - Don’t have one... everything I write is with the intention to have it read by other people.
19. How do you cope with writer’s block? - As you can see, I have multiple WIPS in varying genres, so if I can’t think of something for one of them, I can just switch to a different one. I also listen to music to help me think of things, but that’s just in general
FEELS GOOD TO TALK ABOUT THEM ACTUALLY... THANKS! ^_^
The ask meme - in case anyone else wants to ask :3

‘Stir Of Echoes’ (1999) Still Whispering To Us Two Decades Later
written by Jazmine Hiller
It’s been twenty years since the premiere of Stir Of Echoes (1999), which was released on September 10, 1999. We thought it was about time we take a look back on the film while digging up some fun facts. So, sit down, and turn out the lights and feel the ghostly whisper of Stir Of Echoes on your neck.
Stir Of Echos follows Tom Wizky (Kevin Bacon: Tremors franchise) who, after being hypnotized by his sister-in-law, Lisa, (Illeana Douglas: Goodfellas 1999), begins seeing haunting visions of a girl’s ghost (Jennifer Morrison: Once Upon A Time TV series) as a mystery begins to unfold around him.
youtube
1) In the hypnotism flashback scene, there is a shot of a safety pin being stuck through Tom’s hand. This was not done with special effects. Writer/Director David Koepp (Jurassic Park 1993) actually got a stunt man to come in and jam the metal pin into his own paw for the scene.
2) In the scene where Tom gets angry after digging in the backyard and kicks the bucket towards the wall, it was not supposed to break the window. This was a happy accident, and it was used in the film because Kevin Bacon managed to stay in character and continue the scene.
3) The sequence where Tom is put into a trance for the first time follows actual techniques used by professional hypnotists. In order to ensure that the audience wasn’t put to sleep – as some susceptible people have been in the past – there’s a musical accent at the close of the scene to wake everyone up.
4) On the couch, the babysitter is reading The Shrinking Man by Richard Matheson, author of A Stir of Echoes, the novel that is the basis for this film. Another book by Matheson is I Am Legend, which has been recreated onscreen in 1964 as The Last Man On Earth starring Vincent Price, as The Omega Man (1971) starring Charlton Heston and I Am Legend with Will Smith in 2007.
5) When the crew was setting up for the scene where Maggie (Kathryn Erbe: Law & Order: Criminal Intent TV series) leaves Jake (Zachary David Cope) at her relative’s house, they realized that they had gone over the number of hours the child actor could work. Crew members had to run from house to house in the neighborhood to find a child who looked enough like Zachary to appear as a background character so they could complete the shot.
6) Back to the scene where Tom is digging in the backyard. Kevin Bacon was in a lot of pain as he had pulled a muscle in his neck. Several prop lightweight picks were tested to try and ease his suffering, but in the end, he opted to use the real, heavier pick, as the swings and impacts of the props didn’t look real enough on-screen.
