Summary: On one Saturday with no classes, the Vice Housewarden of Ramshackle Dorm establishes a new tradition after realizing the food situation Crowley put for both Yuu and Grim. To get the sense of home cooking again, Felix decides to make a creative spin on Snake and Spider Stew and stock up at Sam's store with some surprises along the way.

Yuu and Grim found themselves lined up in the kitchen which was mostly swept up and decent. Yuu had found a torn apron in one of the pantry closets and gave a chef's hat for Grim to wear. Felix paced in front of them as if he were a professional instructor. 

"Let's start with what we know. What do you know how to cook?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, wanting to know what he was working with. 

"Besides making creations in the microwave?" Yuu tilted their head. "I can make sandwiches, omelets, pizza, pre-packaged soups, mashed potatoes, and milkshakes, and I can follow the recipe well!"

"I just eat whatever's lying around. It's a bonus and delicacy if it's a fine-dining meal!" Grim shrugged. Felix pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. 

"... you're not gonna survive Twisted Wonderland having food like that alone. Move over and let me show ya how it's done." 

I forgot to post this on here since I was participating in No Content November at the time, but here is one of my personal story one-shots for one of my Twst OCs, Felix. I know Felix does not come into the main fic "Legends Over The Horizon" until the second or third chapter, but I wanted to practice writing for him and the lore/references/relationships. Plus I was about finished with the one shot at the time.

This fic features my Yuu who is Autistic and Nonbinary. I tried my best with this. I have a lot of fics on the back burner. Happy Holidays and Enjoy!

hey thanks for checking out my blog! mainly oc/canon shenanigans around these parts, largely centered on my yuu (gia yugo)— however i have other characters when i’m bothered to remember them. feel welcome to send me asks or dms, but please be patient with me as i have both the memory of a walnut and i struggle with consistent energy levels. (as well as a blaring suspicion of undiagnosed adhd).

note: This took me FOREVER. I kept stopping and continuing so it might not be the best.

“Oh look, the Culinary Crucible sign ups are out again, maybe I could sign up to be a judge.” The five Ramshackle residents were walking down the halls of NRC, heading off to lunch like usual until Felix pointed out the Culinary Crucible sign ups. “Nya, I nearly died last time from Lilia’s cooking” Grim sat on Yuu’s head, it was his favorite spot since her hair was so fluffy. “How did Silver survive all those years with him? Perhaps it made his stomach stronger, I should test that out later, Mumble Mumble” There Donnie went with his evil scientist thoughts again and pulling out his notebook with info about everyone in the school, honestly how could that boy not be best friends with Rook at this point.

Yuu picked up the small paper that was stapled to the cork board, she noticed two familiar names sketched in pen on the parchment. “Hm looks like Floyd and Sebek would be the ones cooking. You may want to reconsider that thought, Felix.” Yuu couldn’t lie, she was slightly excited to see what Floyd and Sebek could do but also terrified of what the food would turn into. She did know a bit of both of their skill sets too. “That damn Eel? Jeeze I already gotta deal with his ass in the Basketball club! I bet he’d poison the food if he could!” Balik groans at the thought of having to see that wicked eel’s face cook for her. “Oh hush! Hmm, maybe I should sign up to be a judge.” Yuu quickly pushed away her fearful thoughts and signed the paper. “If you get a stomach ache from their food don’t come crying to me, henchmen!”

The thought of Sebek cooking for her was on Yuu’s mind all day. She giggled softly and smiled at the thought which started to freak her friends out a bit. “Yuu has been a little too bubbly than usual.” Epel bit into his BBQ, finally able to enjoy it since Vil or Rook weren’t nearby. “I scanned Yuu earlier and her heart rate seems to be more elevated than normal!” Ortho spoke, not eating since he didn’t need food but he still could eat it in a way since Idia gave him a new update! “I couldn’t smell any potions on her breath or anything so it could be something mental.” Jack was clueless to what could have happened to their sweet friend. “Do you think someone cursed her!? I’ll get revenge for Yuu!” Deuce looked like he was about to punch someone. “Wha- no! Who could possibly want to hurt Yuu? Let’s just ask Yuu what happened when she grabs her food.” Finally Ace was actually using his head to think, which if they weren't worried about Yuu, would have freaked the group out even more. "Alright, I'll calm down." Yuu grabbed her food and made her way to the rest of the first years with the other four behind her. Yuu places her tray down and sits next to Ace. “Hello big sis-” Before poor Ortho could greet Yuu he was interrupted by a very concerned Deuce. “Are you ok!? Did someone curse you?! Did you finally snap!?” Ace face palms. “Real nice on staying calm, Deuce.” Yuu raises her brow in suspicion but keeps her sweet smile. “Oh? What’s this now?” The first year group looks back at each other before Epel speaks up. “We’re just concerned since you’ve been acting a little off today….” The other Ramshackle residents finally joined the first years. “That’s just because she’s excited about being a judge for the upcoming Culinary crucible.” Donnie sits next to Ortho while Balik, Felix, and Grim sit next to or across from Yuu. “Really, you aren't getting it? Here’s another hint, loud knight of Diasomnia.” Small ‘Oooohs’ escape the boys’ lips as Donnie explains the reason behind Yuu's state.

Yuu covers her face in embarrassment. “That’s…not the reason..” Balik stabs her food with her fork repeatedly. “Really? Jeeze I can’t tell which one of you is more dense.” Felix rubs the back of his neck nervously. “Yeah, I gotta agree with Balik here.” Ortho stands up- well floats off the ground in excitement. “Maybe we could get you two together! Big brother was playing a game with the same premise the other day!”. “I don’t think that would work. The only thing that guy seems to think about is Malleus just like the only thing Grim thinks about is fancy tuna.” Ace snickers as he looks over at Grim devouring a can of tuna in Yuu’s lap. “Nya?! Hey!” Yuu glares at Ace and he stops right away. “That’s a really sweet idea, Ortho, but I’m not sure it’s the best idea right now.” Ortho looks slightly disappointed but nods his head in understatement. “Ok big Sis! I’ll still make a plan though!” 

The first years continue to talk but soon lunch comes to an end. “Man, I got P.E next. I better go now so I can get changed.” Felix whines as he grabs his empty tray and leaves. Everyone else starts to get up as well and leave for their classes. Yuu holds Grim in her arms as she walks with Ace, Deuce, and Donnie. “Oooh~ We got Alchemy next” Donnie smirks knowing he’ll get an easy 100%. “Don’t act so smug just because you’ve got slightly better grades than us!” Grim kicks his little feet causing Donnie to laugh his unsettling clown-like laugh. “Slightly? Oh please, you’ve gotten Ds and Cs on every test from Professor Crewel!” Donnie’s smirk grows even bigger as he knows Grim can’t make a well backed up argument. hours pass and classes slowly finish up for the day. “Yawn I really wish P.E didn’t kick my ass.” Felix rubs his sore arms. “Maybe it’s just because you’re weak and have little muscle on your bones.” Felix glares at Balik. “Be quiet, will you! You’re hurting my ears!” Grim interrupts their arguing before it could get any more heated. The two glare at each other before shutting up. “Hey, isn't the Culinary Crucible supposed to start tomorrow?” Donnie quickly changes the subject to make sure Balik and Felix don’t start arguing again. “Huh? Oh, yeah. It’s meant to be taking place before lunch, I think.”. Grim pouts. “Why can’t I get free food too! No fair!” Yuu giggles at Grim’s whines. The five reach their dorm and soon settle in for the night awaiting the brand new day full of opportunities to come. A certain half fae walks past the school cork board covered in flyers for clubs and what not, he looks down at the Culinary Crucible sheet. “So she has signed up to be a judge….I��LL DO MORE THAN MY VERY BEST FOR BOTH THE YOUNG MASTER AND YUU!” Sebek hurries his way back to Diasomnia so he can return to his job of guarding Malleus.

Morning comes without fail, birds chirp on cue as the sun rises with its natural beauty. Sebek was out doing his morning jogs before he had to head off to the Culinary Crucible. Sebek had originally signed up so he could learn to cook for his liege but when he found out Yuu was going to be one of the judges he felt even more determined to master the practice of the culinary arts. ‘I have to be able to cook for my future partner!’ That’s what the little voice in his head kept telling him plus Lilia said a good boyfriend should be able to cook for his partner when they’re sick or tired. Sebek finishes his morning jogs and heads inside of Diasomnia to wash off all the sweat on his body. As the cold water hits his body he thinks about how the Culinary Crucible could possibly go. He did learn a bit from Yuu when all the first years were at Ramshackle for a studie night which somehow turned into a small party. Sebek couldn’t help but blush when he remembered how Yuu’s soft hands guided him on how to cut an onion or when he burnt most of the vegetables Yuu just simple laughed it off with a reassuring smile. “How could a human like that make me feel like this….”. Oh Yuu’s soft hands, he just can’t stop thinking about them. All he wants is to have them trail along his body and wrap around his hard- “I must stop thinking about such things of Yuu! I need to get ready!” 

Sebek finishes his shower and gets dressed but not before gelling up his hair like he always does. This man went through almost two jars of gel each week, if Sam didn’t somehow magically have everything in stock Sebek would have been stuck with his natural hair. Sebek quickly checks the time. “On time as always.” And with that Sebek leaves to head off to the Culinary Crucible.

All of Ramshackle’s (living) residents were sitting in the courtyard talking. It was their free time before lunch so Donnie started making bets “Ok, 10$ says Sebek burns it to ash.” Donnie rolls his eyes at Felix’s bet. “Oh please, he’s not Lilia. Althouuuugh, 5$ says he makes it too dry or too bland to eat.” Yuu couldn’t help but laugh “Wow, you really don’t have faith in him? How about 100$ says Sebek makes something that I’ll enjoy.” Both Felix and Donnie’s eyes widen “Henchman, are you feeling ok!?” Even Grim and Balik looked shocked “Yuu is making bets?!” Balik dropped her cool guy act from pure shock. “We don’t even have that kind of money! Crowley doesn’t pay us shit!” Yuu smirks at Donnie’s comment and shrugs her shoulders. “Well~ I just have a lot of faith in Sebek, I guess. Plus I should probably join in on the fun shouldn’t I?” “I guess you do seem to like him a lot.” Balik plainly states. “Seems?? Those two are head over heels for each other!” Donnie throws his arms up in the air in frustration. “We’ll just have to wait and see who the winner of the bet is.” Yuu smiles knowingly. “Nya, I’m going to buy so much tuna with this bet!” Donnie rolls his eyes at Grim’s gluttonous statement before looking down at his watch “Looks like we only have a few minutes till next period.” Everyone lets out a small groan before saying their goodbyes and parting for their next classes. ==============================================

Yuu sat comfortable in the judge’s chair with Idia to her left and Trey to her right. Sebek set a bowl full of chicken pho before her with shaky hands. He looked so nervous, which seemed so unlike him. Once Idia and Trey also reserved a bowl of the chicken pho Yuu took a small spoon full. She looked up at the nervous half fae man in front of her and put the spoon to her lips…..Woah! The chicken had a melt in your mouth texture and the broth was so flavorful! Yuu’s eyes opened in shock as she let out a small moan from the amazing dish. After the other two finished it was time for the results. Yuu was so proud of Sebek, he obviously worked super hard on the dish. Yuu happily held up the sign that had the number ten written on it. “Amazing~! I loved it!”. Trey held up a ten sign as well while Idia held up a nine sign. A big grin spread across Sebek’s face as he saw the high ranking signs, he quickly bowed. “Thank you!”  ================================================

“WHAT!?” Like they planned this Felix, Balik, Donnie, and Grim all yelled in unison. “But how!?” Donnie was still in disbelief, how did Sebek do such a good job!? “My tuuuuuuuna!” Grim whined as his dreams of buying tuna with the bet money went down the drain. “Oh hush, I’ll buy you some tuna.” Grim’s ears pop up at the mention of Yuu buying him tuna. “I guess you get the money then.” Felix lets out a sigh before handing Yuu the money. “Thank you! Now remember next time not to test my intuition~” Yuu chuckled to herself. “Yeah, yeah, whatever and maybe next time we can get to taste this ‘amazing food’.” Balik still doubted Sebek of all people could cook such a good meal. “Yeah maybe…..” Yuu remembered the creamy, rich broth and melt in your mouth chicken, maybe she would have to cook for Sebek some time? Maybe a cooking date? Who knows, there’s so much time in life when you cook with love~!

Felix grabs his bag, opening his notebook to read out the new notification. [New student. FelYuu, check in.] He looks around, his hair tied up in ribbons. Half done as always. Tsunotaro won't be visiting tonight, He knows that Lilia is with him. Grim is fast asleep with Felix's decoy. Felix sighs, "Another day, another intro...." He takes one of the marbles out of the bag. It seemed to be made of gelatin with swirls in the middle of golds and blues with purples, swirling around like galaxies. He bites into it, letting it explode in his mouth. He throws the other half onto the ground, Opening a portal where it lands. He steps through. Greeted by the surprised faces he has seen before, and one right in the middle that looks just like him. "Good evening." He spoke, "Welcome to Twisted Wonderland." A professional yet tired smile on his face, he can already see Vil grimace at his state. "You must be... Felixen Khanh Ly, correct? Or, do you go by Felixen Khanh Iida now, since your stay at the My Hero Section of the universe?" poll under [Please answer]:

I plan on this to be an open collaborative thing. Meaning, People can add their own Yuusonas, ocs, and AUs. And, if you don't want to add an oc there is planned to be polls to add what is next in the next post of this au/comic [If my burnout goes away]. This is a slight spiderverse inspired deal on how the multiverse works out but with some of my thoughts mixed in as well. This is only a draft to see how it goes and unedited. Thank you for reading.

Like for example something broke and Yuu is just like: 'I can fix it!' And then poof! It's fixed in a matter of seconds :D

I'm just here to mix-and-match different kinds of Yuus with different kinds of personalities to see what monstrosity I can make. That being said,,, Fix-It!Yuu brainrot!

Pick a god and pray because Crowley just got himself a free therapist/repair worker/part-time medic/builder and he sure as hell won’t be letting them run away anytime soon.

Not that Yuu can get away anyway since they were ‘programmed’ to be the ultimate good person back in their game.

Yuu wakes up just as Grim opens the coffin.

Of course they try to talk things out with Grim initially but the fire cat threatening to roast them does not do wonders.

Fortunately for Yuu, though, they’re very good at hopping so they dodged the fire heading their way easily by wall jumping.

“Fgna?! How are you doing that?!”

Yuu tried to negotiate with Grim, learning that he wanted their robe so they give it to him, revealing their plumbing outfit beneath and their trusty golden hammer strapped to their belt.

Crowley comes into the room, sees them, and tries to bring them back to get sorted.

“W-Wait, I don’t think I’m supposed to be here! I mean, I don’t mean to intrude on your game but I have to get back to mine.”

Of course Crowley has no idea what they’re saying and Yuu’s pretty sure they’re not even listening because he was too busy leading them to the Mirror Chamber.

Anyway, fire event happens and Yuu just stands at the side because while their hammer can fix almost anything, they don’t think their hammer can ‘fix’ fire… could it?

Well anyway, they’re brought to Ramshackle, meets Grim and the ghosts, and then finally gets left alone by Crowley.

The next day, Crowley arrives to a brand new-looking Ramshackle. There’s still that kind of gloomy aesthetic it has but the property was literally all fixed up with the dorm looking spick and span with no cracks or damage in sight.

Crowley rubs his eyes and looks at the building again. Yeah, no, he wasn’t imagining things.

Crowley learns of Yuu’s magical hammer and asks to use it but it seems that he wasn’t blessed with the miraculous ability of instant repair when he tried to use it on a broken chair in Ramshackle. Or anyone else who wasn’t Yuu, for the matter.

Yuu: “Huh… guess it’s genetic.”

Crowley’s just thinking on how much repair costs he can cut down.

But anyway, since Grim and Yuu became handyworkers for the school, they still have to go to the Main Street and clean the statues.

The Queen of Hearts statue still gets scorched and now they have to clean the windows around school as detention.

Ace stalks off to class, and Crowley scolds Grim and Yuu.

He trails off, though, when Yuu taps their hammer on the Queen of Hearts statue and it reverts back to its original state, clean and brand new.

“While this is all pleasant and well, Mx. Yuu, you must understand that just because you fixed the problem doesn’t mean that the three of you aren’t going to be held responsible for causing the problem in the first place. You still have to clean the windows with Mr. Trappola and Grim later.”

Which was fair since it’s extremely handy to have the ability to fix anything with just a light tap of a magical hammer that one inherited from their father but they also have to learn their lessons.

Anyway, the chandelier breaking even still happened but it isn’t as serious as before since Crowley knows Yuu can just fix it up but he pretends that it was unfixable with the threat of being expelled hanging over their head. As he said earlier, they need to learn to be responsible.

Grim tried bring up Yuu’s ability but is silenced by the Whip of Love.

Crowley specifically hints to Yuu that they weren’t allowed to help the others with the magic hammer until they’ve learnt their lesson.

Anyway, the events in the story happen and Grim and Yuu get officially enrolled in NRC.

Yuu wears their NRC uniform but the hat, belt, and their hammer always stays.

Yuu to every overblot: “I may have the ability to fix almost anything but I can’t fix whatever this is.”

Literally. They’ve tried.

When Riddle overblotted, Yuu tried to smack them with the hammer to revert them back to their normal state.

Initially, it looked like it was going to work.

There was a quick flash of gold when the hammer made contact but then glitching particle effects appeared around Riddle before it quickly disappeared.

Well anyway, getting attacked only made Riddle furious at Yuu. Fortunately for them, they hopped away and dodged just as Riddle retaliated.

Also, there was that time when Trey made pie for everyone.

Pie was Yuu’s favorite food.

One time, they were just munching at it happily, not noticing the silence from their friends until they raised their head up to find them all staring at them.

“What? Is there something on my face?”

“No, uh… it’s your hat. It’s flashing different colors.”

“It’s like a disco ball, human!”

Right, Yuu forgot that every time they ate pie in their game, they get 5 seconds of invincibility and speed boost, and their hat also flashes into different colors to show this.

They bring a slice of pie with them everywhere they go just in case they need to use the invincibility power-up.

Anyway, Floyd trying to catch and squeeze Yuu proves to be a much more difficult task for him since Yuu was very good at hopping away. This just makes Floyd want to chase after them more.

“I can’t fix this! I CAN’T FIX THIS! Grim, help me!”

“You’re on your own, human.”

“Come back here, Shrimpy!~ Let me squeeze you!”

Anyway, in the Savanaclaw Arc, Crowley gets Yuu and Grim to investigate the mysterious injuries the players of the Magift Tournament and they soon learnt that Trey got injured and sprained his ankles.

Yuu doesn’t break eye-contact with Trey as they take their hammer from their belt and lightly tap the Heartslabyul Vice Dorm Leader with it.

“Yuu, what are you—Hm? My ankle’s…!”

“Yeah… Headmaster Crowley told me to keep it a secret. He said it was dangerous if more people heard of what extent I can fix things.”

It seems that not only can Yuu fix things, but they can also fix physical injuries.

“If you hit me hard with your hammer, would I feel nothing because I got healed or would I feel pain from getting hit but still get healed?”

“I… don’t know…? Do you… Do you want to try it?”

“Yes, please!”

The above was probably a real conversation Deuce and Yuu had with each other.

Anyway, Yuu’s instant fix abilities probably won’t be kept a secret in NRC. How do you even keep a big thing like that a secret?

They’re like a glorified repair machine. Why would other students need to use their magic to fix things when Yuu’s right there?

Yuu’s friends have to step in to help them not get taken advantage of, though.

Staying in NRC probably helped eliminate Yuu’s initial pushover personality by being surrounded by gremlin menaces 24/7.

They’re still polite and incapable of genuine hatred, though. That’s just how they were ‘coded’.

On another note, Grim has seen Yuu trying to have conversations with game characters multiple times and he doesn’t know how to feel about this.

Yuu also tells the others stories of different games back in their world.

It’s just up to whoever listens to them to believe it or not ‘cause honestly, it sounds pretty unbelievable when Yuu says that they came from a game or that there was a place back in their world that made of candy and all things sweet.

Yuu, witnessing one overblot after another: *turning to the nearest person* “Are you sure your world isn’t in a game or something?”

Anyway, Jack stumbles on Yuu silently crying one day.

Jack probably noticed the underlying fear and sadness in Yuu’s emotions every day but since Yuu didn’t seem to want to bring it up, he let it be.

But of course they’re worried for the Ramshackle Prefect so they think this was the perfect time to ask them what was wrong.

“If-If I don’t get *hic* back home… If I don’t… M-My game’s going to get *hic*… get u-unplugged!”

Jack has no idea what their game getting unplugged meant but Yuu sounded so miserable and despairing that it might’ve been serious situation.

Are there any students in Your Twistend Wonderland Au based upon Oogie Boogoe? What are they like?

I am surprised no one has asked me that question yet, so thank you!

Yes, I do have a student planned to be in my AU. I do not want to give too much away because his backstory is going to be a surprise and I’m still working it out/researching because it’s never been done before and I do not know if I’m following the Twisted Wonderland rules, but most likely I might edit things that would work for me since it’s my AU. 

Anyway, I’ll tell you about him. Note that I’m still designing his look and I have to find my notebook with all my notes on him, but I’ll go on from my memory.

While there are many wonderful Oogie Boogie twists out there in the fandom, for mine, I wanted to have an original twist (pun intended) on mine. I started with “well what if Oogie was part of the Ramshackle Ghost gang” and went from there. 

Without giving too much away, Felix Cavatica (kudos to those who get the reference) was once a 1st Year Diasomnia student. A mysterious incident occurred in Ramshackle that led to Felix getting crushed just as he was about to overblot. (Again, the details of that day will be in a future installment). As a result, Felix is kind of in his half-dead/half-overblot state which has never happened before and to top that off, he was abandoned and forgotten. His story is tied to another student of mine and it will be explained why nearly everybody doesn’t remember him, most likely around the VDC/Pomfiore arc. 

So at the start of my AU where my Yuu first steps into Ramshackle and Grim comes back again, not only will they have to deal with ghosts, but the ghosts would talk about a monster in the basement and that’s when Yuu discovers Felix. After Yuu and Grim team up to fight him, the three have a heart to heart and Felix lets them stay in his “house”. Crowley discovers Felix, shady stuff is hinted at, but with convincing from Yuu, Crowley lets Felix take classes as a student of Ramshackle. Although he shares a homeroom with Ruggie, he takes classes with Yuu at times and gets to experience the school activities he never got to experience when he was fully alive. 

Again, I’m still designing him and working out the details, but for the first time we meet him in my story, think of like a half-overblot/half normal state complete with a burlap hoodie. There is no ink figure with a glass head yet. He also glows in the dark at night/dark places.

Legends Over The Horizon: Ramshackle Dorm Notes

I know it’s a little early to reveal this, but I want to jot down ideas for Ramshackle for my Twisted Wonderland fanfiction series. I just love the idea of the Prefect trying to make Ramshackle an actual dorm even though it’s just them and Grim. Without further ado: here’s what I have for “Legends Over The Horizon” under the cut:

Facts:

• This Ramshackle is based mostly on Disney’s Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Before Christmas’s Halloween Town, but with Oogie Boogie as the Mascot/Spirit Influence. • Yuu got the idea due to Felix’s stories about the Boogeyman and how they could sometimes see a Phantom of Oogie Boogie around Felix.

• Three dorm colors: Navy Green (Ramshackle Ghosts Attire), Dark Violet (Grim’s Gem), and Light Brown/Beige (Oogie’s Burlap)

• There are two Dorm Uniforms. The main one is comfy/casual since most of the time they’re in the house by themselves, so it usually consists of baggy clothing such as a poncho-like shirt or sweatpants. When there is something formal or a school event (if Crowley allows them to attend), Felix insists on getting fancy suits and fedoras to wear. Similar to Octavinelle style except the suits have stripes and are usually in bright colors. Grim gets a ribbon and a fedora if he wants to.

• Yuu wanted to surprise Felix by creating a stand-in statue of Oogie to put in the front yard near the entrance, but managed to make a small almost sloppy version out of clay in Art class. For the New Year, Malleus comes to create a proper statue of Oogie for Yuu and Felix that looks just as grand as the Great Seven Statues.

• The Dorm Crest has skulls, dice, and the trio of Ramshackle Ghosts who had first seen Yuu. Needless to say, they were very happy and honored. • Out of the main 7 dorms, Diasomnia treats Ramshackle with mutual respect the most. Both Dorm Leaders strive to make sure that the other gets the same experiences. Lilia mentions a possible story where the Fairy of Nobility had once helped the Boogeyman of Creativity in his time of need, but it’s only a story.

• Even though Ramshackle only has two students (Yuu and Grim count as one), and there are some events they don’t participate in (mainly due to Crowley), Yuu tries to make sure that the dorm participates and gets involved, mainly as a promise to both Grim and Felix in giving them the best School Year experience.

No spoilers or anything, but I do have an idea for the Legends Over The Horizon version of the event. Especially if there’s potential for my OC Felix to develop and Malleus to bond.

You’re probably wondering “Wait a minute, isn’t your most important OC in your series not coming until the 2nd or 3rd chapter?” and I would say “I’m proud of him and I’m almost done with his School Uniform vignette, so here’s his profile!” I’ve been doing profiles for some of my OCs at Art Fight, so I wanted to share them here slowly. Here are some things about Felix you should know about so far:

This is Felix Cavatica, a student of Night Raven College who is twisted from Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas). He was an ordinary student in his first year when an accident occurred during a secret party at the Ramshackle dormitory which resulted in Felix using a lot of his magic and getting knocked out on the verge of Overblot. When he regained full consciousness, he discovers a magicless human and a cat monster falling into the basement where he resided. Struck with a strong memory curse only he and those not involved with the incident could break and in a somewhat half-Overblot/half-alive state that has not even been discovered yet, Felix finds himself in a complex situation where he wants to find out the truth and get a second chance at life. Fortunately (or unfortunately), Yuu convinces Crowley to give Felix a second chance at his school life by enrolling him as a student in Ramshackle dorm along with Grim. While recovering his memories and trying not to go into full overblot, Felix is now a Second Year Vice Dorm Leader who is trying to keep Yuu and Grim alive and create a dorm based on his personal hero, The Boogeyman. Not knowing his exact future, he takes things one step at a time.

Kudos for those who get the reference in his name. Felix is wearing a Ramshackle Dorm Uniform that he designed with Yuu using the colors from the three ghosts and Grim's magestone. The style is supposed to be a zoot suit with a fedora.  The black lines around his eyes are supposed to be dried out Blot.

Currently, I am writing one of his personal stories and the first chapter of my Twisted Wonderland fic. Felix won’t come in until maybe the second or third chapter. I might double-check when I get the chance.

Twist OC Reference Part 2

Here’s the second part of my OC references for “Legends Over The Horizon”, my main fic for my Twisted Wonderland AU. Again I used a picrew for this and I do not own it. It can be found here: https://href.li/?https://picrew.me/image_maker/1407730

Let’s start out with my other two Heartslabyul members!

First we have a minor side character, William Carol, a 1st Year Student who is twisted from the Lizard with a Ladder in “Alice in Wonderland”. In the film, the White Rabbit asks the Lizard with a ladder to deal with the giant Alice and he gets afraid. I made him more of a comedy relief character and a fill-in for some of the nameless NRC students for now. He is part of the Magift club in cast you want to know!

The last one is currently named Ash who is a 2nd Year. He does not have a surname yet. He is twisted from the talking Red Rose/White Rose from “Alice in Wonderland”. Also a minor character, but most likely has more of a role in certain stories. He came about after watching the flower scene in the movie, thinking about some Overblot lore, and Little Shop of Horrors, haha. And also Moonlight Densetsu from Sailor Moon. Still coming up with Ash’s backstory but I had the idea of him having mood swings similar to Floyd. Like he has this polite and elegant side to him like the singing white rose and is kind of like a knight character. But there’s also the “red” part of him that’s loud and eager to fight. I am so tempting of him being able to shift into a rose flytrap for a limited time. In one of Yuu’s dreams, he’s the executioner type who follows the Queen of Hearts. Ash is in the Movie Appreciation Club and knows how to use a sword. 

Finally, we have my first attempt of what Felix Cavatica might look like. He is the twist of Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare Before Christmas. I am still coming up with his design when he and Yuu first meet because I want to find a look that says “this boy was on the verge of death and overblot but his body seems confused”. He will definitely have some scars, stitches, and have burlap around him in his debut. Also figuring out his curse and whether or not I can pull it off, but so far, the curse placed on him is a memory curse that affects both him and most of NRC. When Yuu and Grim first meet him, no one has a clue on who is at first and what was his previous dorm. He would be officially considered Ramshackle’s second student. Later on, it would be revealed that he was once a Diasomnia student and he remembered entering Night Raven as a first year. I went with the Diasomnia colors to show that he was sorted in that dorm. I want to make Felix important not only because he would be the other resident of Ramshackle other than Grim that Yuu cares for, but he is integral to the Blot plot point of the AU. Yuu convinces Crowley to give Felix one more chance at a year in NRC since he never got to experience it and Crowley agrees... for mysterious reasons. Although he is technically considered a second year student, he would sometimes have joint classes with 1A to cover the basics and to maintain balance of his magic use. Felix also joins the Board Game club since he did not remember joining a club before.

Overblot Plans for “Legends Over The Horizon”

With the second part of the Ignihyde chapter revealing many interesting secrets, it made me think about my Twisted Wonderland fanfiction series and it helps a little, but I'm still a little stuck. Along with making three new OCs, I also got into thinking on some of the major plot points for the main fic.

Slight Spoilers of Ch 6 Part 2 and "Legends Over The Horizon" under the cut:

I won't reveal major things about my Yuu just yet, but I can say that it helped with the prologue a bit as well as the "curse" Yuu has. 

Originally, I had planned for seven main Twist OCs with a monster theme in mind that have their significant spotlights here and there, but there was so much about Overblot I learned this week that made me think more about it. There are still major plot points that I need to figure out, but I'll show what I have so far:

There might be more OCs on the way depending on the situation, but in general, the two OCs that have a major focus in the overall series plot-wise are Koura (Twst Tamatoa) and Felix (Twst Oogie Boogie)

Out of the side student OCs (currently three), the one with the major focus is Julio (Twst Bruno, yes I gave in)

Out of the main seven OCs, Koura is the only one so far who is definitely planned to Overblot. Not only because of the Moana themes with Yuu, but he is also the one who is most likely to Overblot due to his insecurities and power. Originally, the main seven were planned to Overblot, but due to the specific nature of Overblot, it has changed.

Whatever happens in the rest of the 6th chapter, I still have some alterations in mind for the AU. Specifically a "Half Overblot" state, which like the name suggests is someone on the verge of Overblot or an Overblot state without the Phantom (the ink monster with the glass head behind the victim). There are many variations of the Half Overblot state.

Still figuring out the specific details of Felix's backstory, but basically students snuck into abandoned Ramshackle (while the ghosts were out mind you) to party. In the middle of the party, an old room at the basement of the building starts to collapse. Felix uses his Unique Magic (which is basically a "hive mind" that is supposed to last for a short amount of time) to help others escape. However, he uses his magic on too many students and at the time, he was inexperienced. Complications happen and just when he's about to Overblot, debris fell on him. As a result, Felix is in an in-between state between life and death, okay and overblot. Crowley theorizes that whatever happened to Felix confused his body, soul, and blot.

Felix is a very rare case due to his current situation. He has to be extra cautious using magic. Most fear that any strong magic or emotion would cause him to go to full Overblot and/or worse, die. He is considered a "monster" and is nicknamed "the Boogeyman of Ramshackle". He can also communicate and attract/influence ghosts. Although many people believe that Felix is destined for the afterlife, Yuu is determined to help him with his needs and wants, being optimistic that he would have a happy ending. They convince Crowley to let Felix be a student for at least a year (to complete unfinished business/encourage him to choose to live).

Due to the "darkness" that covered Yuu's eyes and ears in the Prologue, Yuu sometimes has hallucinations/altered vision when seeing some of their classmates. Along with this, they can see and hear things that others can't such as some languages from different species and in this case, Phantoms when they are about to form. Throughout the first five main arcs, they will refer to Phantoms as "Shadows". During the Overblot fights, they would hear Phantoms with a blend of the victim and the Disney Character they are based on. (Ex. Riddle's Phantom sounds like Riddle and the Queen of Hearts speaking at the same time). The Phantoms voice every desire and negative emotion the person is feeling.

When Yuu and Grim meet Felix for the first time, Yuu can see and hear Felix's Phantom (who because of the rare state, is usually invisible to most people). It is basically a ghost who follows and haunts Felix, waiting for him to Overblot. Sometimes Yuu notices and could interact with it, telling it not to eat or harm Felix. Felix's Phantom takes on the form of the last appearance of Oogie Boogie in the film: a colony of insects in the shape of Oogie with a glass head. Yuu has also seen the Phantom as Shadow Oogie or Blacklight/Neon Oogie depending on Felix's mood.

I'm not going to reveal any other major plot points for Yuu, but let's just say that one of their discovered abilities is connected to the Half Overblots that happen.

Specific for chapter 6 that I want to mention here because I have planned for Felix to be part of the Board Game club with Azul and Idia. Plus I thought it would be interesting. At first, Idia wouldn't care/not notice anything because he'd be more focused on what he's playing at the time and be a little intrigued at Felix's gaming skills. But throughout the story, Idia would notice a few things yet he would not act or say anything about it for several reasons. When chapter 6 happens, there's going to be major angst between Idia and Felix. Felix is not only this once in a lifetime specimen who has been in a state no mage has been before (perhaps), but as far as Idia is concerned, Felix should be considered dead/a Phantom that should be kept away/under the care of S.T.Y.X. There's also going to be tension between Idia and Yuu with Idia scolding/arguing with Yuu about interacting with the Phantoms and calling them "Shadows". Phantoms are dangerous/a lost cause in Idia's perspective. There is no reasoning with them, so why bother?
