In addition to that, Neesha has cerebral palsy and is trying to navigate this new life without picking up some of the old issues she had with how she was treated by her classmates. While Gabby has some deep trauma that she's still learning how to cope with.

It's a story about love, fandom, the intersection of the two, and finding that someone who really gets you and can help you navigate through all the things life throws at you, together.

Heyo! How would the real world be affected if Lance's hiccups reached it? And can you write a Fic on it?

Sure!

When the fourteen humans stepped out of the theater, not one of them was prepared for what they were about to face. But regardless, they had to put up with the effects of Lance's hiccups until he was cured. Nevertheless, they parted ways and made their way home.

Leo found himself walking to the park, a bitter look on his face. His legs and knees were scraped up from all the constant tripping he had done while making his way here. It almost got to the point where he would have to just throw in the towel and go home.

But when he entered the park, he was greeted by the background dancers trying so hard to dance. But everytime they tried, they would fail and fall down to the ground. Before Leo could walk over and see if they were okay, bystanders saw the poor performance and booed the young teens.

"Wait, please give us a chance!" The female backup dancer, Ana Ribeiro, pleaded as tears filled her eyes. "We can make this work!" But to everyone's dismay, the bystanders kept on booing for a bit before they began to leave, one by one.

Emma entered into her mansion. As usual, she went over to say hello to the maids. But to her dismay, they scoffed at her and started whisper, all while shooting dirty looks at the young girl. Emma bent her head down and slowly walked to her room.

"Look at her, acting all cool and superior," Louise Toussaint sneered to a maid named Camelia Dascalu.

"I know, right?" Camelia replied, glaring at Emma. "She thinks she's all that all because her parents are one of the most richest people in all of Highland Isle."

"Well, newsflash: she's just a spoiled little brat," Grace O'Neil spat coldly at Emma. "I don't understand why her parents love her."

"Maybe they just pity her," Sophía Rodríguez taunted as they watched Emma head to her room.

Once she was inside, Emma closed the door and hopped to her bed, letting her tears fall silently.

Jose gasped in horror when he returned back to his farm. A large tornado was seen spinning in the distance and it was carrying his farmhouse away! "Jose!" His wife cried in fear from inside the house.

"Papa!" His son's voice shouted. More of his crops were torn out of the ground in the tornado's wake and were suddenly tossed around like ragdolls. Jose panicked and tried his hardest to run after his farmhouse in an attempt to save his wife and son from the terrible storm.

But it was too late for Jose. The tornado spun away and his family and crops were gone. "No…" He said, a look of depression and despair was on his face. First, he lost his farm and now, his family!? What was he going to do now!?

When Fiona returned back to the beach, she was expecting it to be as tranquil as it was before she came to the theater. But due to the storm from Jose's fear, the waves in the ocean were now wild and splashing, rocking the ship that she stood on violently.

Fiona yelped as she gripped onto the metal railing as tight as she could to prevent herself from falling into the water. To her horror, she saw a shadowy version of her dolphin friend with glowing red eyes swimming right up to the ship.

The shadowy creature jumped into the air and launched down on Fiona. The diver yelped and accidentally let go, soon falling down into the water. In a panic, Fiona used up all of her strength to try and swim up to the water's surface. But the waves were making it difficult for her to do so.

"Help me!" Fiona yelled when she managed to make it above the surface. The captain saw Fiona and quickly tossed a rope down. With little strength she had left, Fiona swam as fast as she can and away from the shadowy dolphin.

Yuri entered into her school, expecting to see her classmates. But to her surprise, nobody was there. No students, no teachers, nobody. But the hallways were covered in cobwebs.

Yuri managed to get into her classroom. Inside, she saw gigantic versions of the bugs she collected. But that was it. "H-Hello?" Yuri called out, not liking this. As much as she loved the company of her bugs, she appreciated human contact too.

But Yuri had no response. Instead, her call echoed in the entire classroom. And it proved to Yuri that she was truly all alone.

Haoyu was making his way to his workshop back at home. But at soon as he opened it up, the plane that he once built when he tried flying immediately started to explode. Haoyu barely made it out of there in time. But there was now soot on his goggles.

"I didn't think Lance's hiccups were this bad," Haoyu said to himself. Suddenly, replicas of his failed plane started to tumble out of the sky and fall down. Haoyu yelped as he miraculously dodged every plane crash. He definitely did not want to end up in the hospital like he did the last time.

Haoyu looked behind while he ran. But to his horror, the plane crashes appeared to be following him. Haoyu screamed and kept on running, trying to get to safety.

Sana Hudson looked around at what used to be a forest. Now, all she saw was tree stumps. The fallen trees lay on the grass, having been cut down. What horrified Sana the most was the smashed bird eggs and the damaged birdhouses.

"No…" Sana said, feeling the urge to cry. She hadn't been gone for that long and already her forest was destroyed. Suddenly, Sana heard the sound of machinery up ahead. She turned and saw the construction workers making their way towards her.

Sana panicked and turned around to run. She mentally cursed herself for not being brave enough to face them off. But due to the lack of trees, there was nowhere to hide.

Cass looked high and low for her kitten. Daisy would usually hang around by the curb of the clocktower. "Kitty, where are you?" Cass asked, looking around. She then heard a 'mew' and turned to see Daisy running towards her.

But suddenly, a car rushed by at the same time. Cass screamed, now reliving the terror that brought her to the theater. "Daisy!" She cried, searching frantically for her kitten. But sadly, Daisy was nowhere in sight.

Cass started to cross the street. But more cars sped on by. If she wasn't careful, Cass would have gotten hit. "Kitty!" Cass wailed, looking for her kitten. Tears of fright were in her eyes.

The cafe that Cal played chess at was no longer a cafe. Instead, he found himself at a gigantic chess board that was the size of a soccer field. Giant chess pieces, both black and white, stood. Each one had a face belonging to the Inhabitants.

"Well, well, well," A voice that sounded exactly like Cal's said. It spoke in an arrogant tone. "If it isn't the former chess champion. I see that you're currently searching for a new queen. Especially after losing your previous one." An illusion of a distraught-looking Lucy was seen.

"Maybe I should pay this pretty lady a visit, hm?~" The voice taunted Cal.

"Never!" Cal shouted back, hiding his fear. "You stay away from Lucy!" But to his horror, gigantic chess pieces started to move towards him.

Iben was rather confused as to why it was snowing heavily. Especially considering that they were in the warmer months. But when she went home, she was stunned to see the sight in front of her.

Tombstones lay about in the field of snow. One had her father's name on it, one had her mother's, one had her husband's, and two had her children's names. More tombstones showed up, having her friends' names on them too.

Iben's eyes filled with tears. She collapsed onto the snowy ground. "It's not true," She said through sobs. "They can't be gone! I need them!

Attilio was at Christmas Rose Park. So far, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary. But he did see Princess Merry getting ready for the parade. His heart drummed widely and he walked over. "Hey, Princess—" He started speaking before she rudely interrupted him.

"What do you want, clown?" Princess Merry looked at him in disdain. "Can't you see that I'm busy getting ready?"

Attilio almost flinched at her hostile words. "I-I came to ask you on a date," He said. "I even gave you red roses, your favorite."

Princess Merry just haughtily laughed at him. "You mean those weeds?" She replied. "I've seen dandelions better looking than them! And besides, I have a hot date coming to pick me up!"

Attilio felt his heart crumble to dust.

Lucy warily entered into her art studio. She was utterly confused when she saw that something was wrong with her artwork. Instead, pitch black canvases hung on the wall where her artwork once was.

"Where is all my artwork!?" Lucy asked, frantically. "I could have sworn that it was right there!" She searched frantically for someone that might be here with her.

As if her questions were the trigger, the pitch black canvases floated off the wall. Then, they started to zoom towards her. Lucy saw this and screamed, running away from them. "Someone! Help!"

Eis was not prepared to see that the part of the town he lived in was engulfed in flames. Literally, every building was set ablaze. It was now so hot that Eis sweated underneath his uniform.

"Help!" Eis looked up and saw it was the same kid that he rescued. The little boy was crying and was covered in ashes. With the same determination from before, Eis ran towards the building to rescue him. He was surprised to see that there were no other firefighters.

But as he was reaching the building, large flames rose up around him, trapping Eis. He remembered the exact flames that caused him to find the theater. His legs trembled and he tried to stay standing. But nothing was working.

He ended up falling to his knees and screamed in fright.

Bruce was stunned to see the amount of trash that was on the ground. Thinking nothing of it, he began to pick it up. He saw the kids that would come by to help and waved at him. But to his surprise, the kids didn't notice him. They just walked by as if he wasn't there.

Bruce couldn't believe that they would ignore him. He remembered that dreaded feeling. It hurt like no other. Before Bruce could call their names, he heard something fall on the ground. The older man turned to see a large trash bag fell down and tore open, trash spilling everywhere.

"What's going on?" Bruce asked himself. "Where is all this trash coming from?" His instincts told him to look up and he did. He immediately dodged out of the way just as more trash bags fell down and tore open.

"N-No… This can't be…" Bruce said, sinking to his knees as the feeling of helplessness returned.

Impossible Journey is an animated short film that addresses the urgent crisis in maternal health care in the US.

The film was built by a predominantly female team over a process that took more than a year, produced in Brazil and NYC. Each frame was printed and painted meticulously to reveal the layers of reality that our protagonist experiences throughout the story. Every aspect of the animation has metaphorical construction and meaning, just like all the project built around it.

SP verde, feiras, percursos urbanos: vale a pena descobrir a cidade a pé

Nesta sexta-feira (25), São Paulo completa 465 anos. Além dos eventos especiais, comemorativos — de show do Paulinho da Viola a roteiro pelo bairro da Penha –, há uma série de outros programas possíveis. Pensando no que o blog já publicou nos últimos meses, reuni abaixo sugestões tanto de passeios quanto de projetos que olham para a cidade de forma crítica, atenta e sensível, sobre os quais já falamos aqui.

Na zona sul, uma ilha; na zona norte, um parque

Não é bem uma ilha, mas leva a denominação no nome. Para chegar até lá, é preciso tomar uma balsa: a península onde fica a Ilha do Bororé (acima, a Casa Ecoativa) é na zona sul de São Paulo, pertinho do Grajaú, nas margens da represa Guarapiranga. O passeio até lá, além de fácil de transporte público, mostra como uma cidade como São Paulo pode abrigar diferentes climas, modos de vida. Já na zona norte, quem busca verde e cachoeiras pode ir no Núcleo Engordador do Parque da Cantareira, a partir de um ônibus no terminal Santana.

Circular para se alimentar é uma boa, certo? Se ainda não conhece, corra para conhecer o Guia Prato Firmeza, iniciativa da escola e agência de jornalismo ÉNois feita para mostrar que tem comida boa e saborosa em toda parte da cidade, e que a seleção das revistas e jornais por vezes é bastante elitista e preguiçosa. Já rolaram duas edições, indicação ao prêmio Jabuti e tudo mais.

As cidades na música e no cinema

Documentários sobre as cidades são formas da gente conhecer coisas que não viveu, imaginar. Tem um post que compila filmes sobre São Paulo e outros locais — do Rio do artista Heitor dos Prazeres a Nova York de Martin Scorsese em "After Hours". Já esse texto fala de um projeto documental contemporâneo sobre as vilas operárias paulistanas. Recentemente, bati também um papo com a cantora Alessandra Leão sobre os vídeos que grava cantando músicas de compositores variados em cenários urbanos: mercadinhos, avenidas. Unindo som, audiovisual e a percepção de quem gosta de estar na cidade.
