Audio Synthesis: Bird Songs from Dan Hoopert on Vimeo.

Audio Synthesis: Bird Songs is part of an ongoing collection of audiovisual experiments exploring the relationship between motion and sound.

Motion data is collected from the source video and used to generate note values and midi information that is sent to various synthesisers and samplers, creating a generative soundtrack unique to each visual input.

Graphic shapes are emitted from various data points throughout resulting in an abstract visual language for the sounds that are generated.

Created using Houdini and Ableton Live.

i propuesta para el reto de Pwnisher ¨Kinetic Rush¨ Challenge.

No quise dejar pasar la oportunidad y decidí enfrentarme a cosas que no sabía resolver en 3D, obviamente me falta mucha más experiencia, pero estuvo interesante adentrarme a los modulos de cabello, dinámicas de tela, volumenes, pyro, rig y luces volumetricas en Cinema 4D, es con la herramienta 3D con la que crecí y he visto evolucionar, aunque para algunas cosas se está quedando atrás, por ejemplo, las dinámicas de tela en Marvelous designer, renders en tiempo real con Unreal, y simulaciones de fuego y fluidos con janga FX. Es momento de explorar nuevas opciones y aprender cosas nuevas. Pero por lo pronto disfruté mucho el proceso y el resultado final. Gracias por verlo.

Impossible Journey is an animated short film that addresses the urgent crisis in maternal health care in the US.

The film was built by a predominantly female team over a process that took more than a year, produced in Brazil and NYC. Each frame was printed and painted meticulously to reveal the layers of reality that our protagonist experiences throughout the story. Every aspect of the animation has metaphorical construction and meaning, just like all the project built around it.

Well; I’m very proud to have directed the music video for "Nights", a new track by Jesper Ryom. I was over the moon to get awesome teammate Sofie Lee to help out with design. Together we worked days and nights to create this audio visual journey.

The story; In a time of self isolation we reflect on our past. In a time of being inside, what more do we crave then running outside and enjoying vast horizons and nature, like a child.
