He doesn’t have favorites in his family but he has different relationships with each of them.

Yugi

is his Dad and his hero.

The king of game!

The one who saved him from the orphanage.

He’s also super kind and teaches Jaden how to take care of himself and his friends.

Seto

is his Oto-san.

He’s more strict, way more strict than Dad. But he obviously cares for Jaden.

He’s so protective and isn’t great at showing his emotions.

But he loves hard and deep. He’d rip the moon from the sky if Jaden, Yugi, or Mokuba asked.

Jaden likes superhero’s? And he really loves the Elemental hero cards? But theirs only four of them, and they’re super weak? That won’t do. He reaches out to Pegasus about making more hero cards.

At first he tries to make them a private collection just for Jaden but Yugi finds out and scolds him. He can’t give Jaden his own archetype! (Especially when Jaden already made his own) so the cards are realeased to the public. But you best believe Seto got three copies of every Hero card for his son.

The Destiny hero’s infuriate him. “How come that kid (Aster Phoenix) gets his own private set of hero’s but our son can’t, Yugi?”

In actually he feels a lot of guilt over sending Jaden’s cards to space. Jaden doesn’t remember, but they found the records of it. Seto sent Jaden’s soul monster and defender (neo spacians and Yubel) to space and has been trying to get them back ever since. Until he can get his son’s cards back to him the least he can do is make sure Jaden has cards he can trust. (His idea, not Jaden’s or Yugi’s)

He couldn’t imagine someone sending his blue eyes away from him forever. He has the records of Jaden’s powers lashing out after they took Yubel from him. (He needs to get those cards back for his son)

Atem

Atem adores Jaden. And Jaden adores his uncle Atem.

Atem has always dotted on Jaden. He’s truly grateful for this second chance at life and the opportunity to be part of Yugi’s family.

He’s also very protective of Yugi and his son. Yugi and their friends fought so hard for the world. They deserve to have a peaceful life now. And Atem will defend them the same way they defended and helped him.

Once they find out about Jaden’s powers and blocked memories, Atem becomes even more protective then he was before.

He feels a lot of camaraderie with Jaden. Not just the missing memories, but also the shadow powers. Though Jaden’s comes from the Gentle Darkness and Arems from his time wilding the millennium items.

Atem always shows Jaden little magic tricks and uses his powers to play with Jaden. Even being duel spirits to life. Jaden can’t see spirits until his entrance exam but he grew up with someone who could. So he doesn’t feel like he’s going crazy when he starts seeing and hearing spirits.

Atem wanted to try and unblock Jaden’s powers but Yugi had been worried. His boy was so young and what happens if his powers lash out again. He doesn’t want Jaden to blame himself if anyone gets hurt because he’s a little kid who had a tantrum. Atem agrees but still works with Jaden. His powers will unlock one day. It’s best he’s prepared and knows that he doesn’t have to fear himself. Yugi agrees, Atem would never go against Yugi’s will.

Joey

Don’t tell the others but… Joey is Jaden’s favorite uncle. (Mainly don’t tell Seto, Atem, or Mokuba)

Joey is so fun for Jaden. He’s silly and energetic and matches Jaden’s energy.

He duels Jaden and it’s so fun. Seto can’t bring himself to go easy on any one. Yugi and Atem go easy on him, but they won’t give him the game, he learns a lot from all three, but Joey? Joey’s crazy.

Joey will pick up booster packs and they will make random decks and duel. Just for fun. Just to learn. Just for fun. Yes your deck is your heart, but theirs a lot to learn from quickly cobbling together a deck.

When Jaden’s older, Joey is the first one to break out his real deck on him (well besides Seto, who knows no chill) when Jaden beats Joey’s real deck for the first time he’s so pumped, and so is Joey. His littlest buddy is an amazing duelist!

Joey is so laid back. He loves dueling and he’s serious about it. But he remembers it’s a game. It’s fun. Something Seto’s never been good at. Atem struggles with (trauma) Yugi knows but his deck is almost unbeatable. All three of them love the game for the strategy, Joey’s here for fun and chaos. Yes he’s strategic but he also chaotic and a risk taker.

Jaden takes after him in a lot of ways. Jaden love’s strategy to, he’s learned form the best. But at duel academy? If he was like either of his father’s his identical would be blown so fast. So it’s a good thing he takes after Joey. No one thinks the prince of games to be a laid back slacker. But he learned from the best, Joey. (If Seto ever heard that statement he’d set the city on fire.

What are your current HCs (that you can talk about) for Jurai and GX?

Yuki Jurai, will be a powerful Duelist and Mage. However, as of the current moment in time, she's only about 6 years old and hasn't grown the strength to harness her full strength, or had any training.

She looks up to Mutou Yugi, the Queen of Games, who takes an interest in her after meeting her just after the Battle City finals, when Hanaq, the dark wrath of Ishizu Ishtar given life, defeated Kaiba Seto by kidnapping and using his brother against him, and stole the souls of everyone in the theme park who wasn't protected from the Shadows.

Yubel protected Jurai, who then met up with Yugi and got her number. The Queen of Games protected Jurai by sending her to V.I.P. Box One, where she met up with the Kobayashi triplets, whose older sister was the reincarnation of Kisara and whose dragonic form protected the children until the situation was resolved and she could return to her parents.

Jurai will meet up with Yugi again before she leaves the island and again after, but I won't give details here other than to say that Yugi gives Jurai permission to stay in contact.

During his recovery from the incident on the island, Kaiba will launch his competition to 'teach aliens to duel' and Jurai will take part. She will design cards that get sent to space. However, because Yubel is jealous of Yugi's mentoring of Jurai, she destroys Jurai's phone in a fit of rage, cutting her ties to Yugi and accidently hurting Jurai, leaving her unconscious.

While she's out cold, Jurai's parents take Yubel's card and sends it with the other cards, to protect their daughter, and when Jurai wakes up, she's concerned but believes her parents when they say it's for the best. That removes the danger from the household, but after a couple of months, Jurai starts having nightmares that can't be calmed down.

However, due to a later incident in Ennead, magic isn't exactly a secret, just ignored by those who choose not to believe, so instead of taking Jurai for the brain surgery that her parents do in canon, her parents instead show up on Yugi's doorstep and ask her if she can help.

Yugi, who at the time is a student studying Game Design in Tokyo, agrees to teach Jurai and when Jurai is allowed to apply Yugi's teachings, she doesn't get nightmares, but Jurai's parents don't like magic at all and don't want it in the house. So they don't always allow it and the severity of the nightmares scare them until they drop Jurai on Yugi's doorstep for good.

And Yugi takes Jurai in as her daughter.

Jurai gets raised, from age 8 to age 14 by Yugi, her husband and the family she's built around her, with her mother, aunts and uncles teaching her a lot.

The day she goes for the Duel Academy test is the first day she calls Yugi 'Okaasan' or Mother.

When she goes to Duel Academy, it's under the name Yuki Jurai, not because she's embarrassed to be a Mutou, but because she both doesn't want to embarrass her mother by being a failure and an Osiris Red, and because being known as a Mutou will make making friends hard.

There she meets Marufuji Shoko, the little sister of Marufuji Ryu, the Kaiser of Duel Academy and makes friends, as well as earning the respect of others and when the Shadow Rider/Seven Star Assassins start throwing magic around she steps up.

I have more headcanons and events based within GX, but I'm about to go to bed, so if you're interested let me know and I'll post more tomorrow.

your yugioh discord server au my beloved.

dunno if this already came up, but i tottaly see everyone chatting regulary (esp jaden the spammer-tm), minus yusei. he just lurks and gives a reply every second year/when tagged. </3

Yusei is the lurker who nevertheless responds immediately when tagged. The guy will never hop in and voice his opinion, but the second you @ him he has replied the nanosecond you hit send. He is, however, the biggest organizer of server movie nights, voice chats, and meet-up when multiple members of them are in the same city. This au is set after his series ended, after all. He's already keeping up long distance friendships with Jack, Crow, Akiza, and the twins. He is hardcore about keeping on top of online friendships. Sometimes he'll just pop into the vc while he's working and leave it open while he tinkers.

In ascending order of activity, Yusaku probably chats the second least. This tempered though, by the fact that they are always online. 4am in the morning? Yusaku is there. Yusaku's actually more vocal in the discord than in real life, after years of growing up raised by message boards an forums. If everyone sees it's been like 25 hours since they logged off, someone will shoot a message to Kolter, or they'll just log into vrains and hunt him down like it's the most dangerous game (getting Yusaku to log off and go the fuck to sleep)

Yuya took a while to warm up the the GC, but every day gets more bold with just kicking down the doors of the chat and going off about something or another. Also he's in a minecraft server with all his brothers and the bracelet girls, so if he's online but not responding, it's probably because he's griefing Yuri's dirt house for the third time this week.

Yugi's really active in the chat, a fact that never fails to blow Yuma and Yuya's minds. He'll be at a global release sponsored by every important duel monsters company under the sun, and he'll send pictures of Kaiba caught mid sneeze with the caption 'LOL'. He will be on NATIONAL TV AND TEXTING THE GROUPCHAT. His memes are legendary.

No one knows how to quantify Yuma's activity, because there's like a 90% chance most of the messages he sends are him???? But then there's also the possibility that half his messages are Astral feeling chatty, and it's very hard to tell because both of them are equally likely to start a rousing discussion on the morals of dolphins at 3 in the morning. Yugi is the only one who can reliably tell them apart.

And OF COURSE, AT THE TOP OF THE LIST, IT'S YA BOI, YOUR SUPREME MEME KING: JADEN YUKI. *insert airhorn sound effect* Spammer galore. Constantly uploading selfies of him standing in front of some eldritch abomination, or standing on the surface of Jupiter, or some other such equally questionable use of his powers. Liveblogs his annoyance at being made to do demonic paperwork. Makes incomprehensible memes that no one can tell if he's dunking on his henchmen again, or just really, really good at shitposting. He has a channel in the discord just for him where, every day, he just sends a single digit number, and some of the yu-boys are going crazy trying to figure out if it's a code, or some secret eldritch coordinates, or a massive ARG style prank, or what.

Yusei eventually reveals it's how many tries Yubel took to get the days wordle.

In Duel Links, Ghost Gal has left for now...but the VRAINS characters are seeing how Duel Links connects to other dimensions and trying to figure out Kaiba's plan! That includes the SEVENS world, but the DSOD world was not featured. Guess Kaiba encrypted that one too well. XD

Yugioh protags and what Black Clover squad I'd put them in.

Yugi and Yami go in the Golden Dawn.

The top of the top, the squad everyone aspires to be in and wants to be like.

Not much else to say.

Would both bond with Captain Vengeance and understand his whole elf reincarnation situation.

Jaden is in the Black Bulls.

Lowest of the low and yet incredibly strong and powerful.

He would fit in with the black bulls, be best friends with Asta and join in fights with Luck and Magna.

Jaden and Asta both being arrested for having dark powers and the whole squad pulling up, yes.

Yusei I'd like to put into the Silva Eagles.

The whole, raised by commoners and is considered one despite having noble parentage.

And that parentage being royalty 👀???

Feels fitting.

That and just he'd boss em into being good people and spend way to much time in his shed tinkering instead of training.

And still gets out on top.

Would call them out on their bullshit, and I wanna see it.

Yuma is in the Crimson Lions.

Looked down upon by others who are stronger than him but always stands tall.

Fears and admires Mereoleona.

He and Leopold would be best friends and rivals.

Astral befriends Fuegoleon and they both roast Nozel.

Yuya is in the Azure/Aqua Deer Squad.

He and Rill are best friends.

And with Rill's magic being both performative and destructive, Yuya is more well understood by him and the rest of the squad.

Yuya having to stand trial and the whole squad pulling up and demanding he's set free.

Yusaku is technically apart of the Green Mantis squad.

But in the same way Nacht has been the Vice captain for years without anyone in the squad but Yami knowing who he is.

That boy is always off doing something.

Jack likes him and considers him a good friend.

Sekke talks shit but can't say anything when Yusaku is actually around.

Yuga is in the Crimson Lions.

He just loves the vibe of the whole squad and they adore him.

Looks up to Fuegoleon and wants to be as strong if not stronger than him.

He's got big ideas and a whole squad who encourages and enables him.

Yugioh Pretty Litttle Liars Style Chapter 2

Suffered from writer's block for a while hence why I did not update this sooner. 

Jaden sighs as he sits down at a table he reserved for himself and the others. Starbucks is and had always been their favourite hangout when their darling leader Yami was still alive. Heck, most of their scheming took place in this very same spot. One particular conversation brings back fun memories for Jaden in particular, one that the others are unaware of.

FLASHBACK

"Man this latte gives me life man." says Jaden as he sips some of his special chocolate latte.

Yami rolled his eyes. "Continue like that and you'll get fat." he teased. Jaden's eyes widened in horror at that. "HELL NO!!" Yami snorts with laughter.

"Oh chillex. I was just kidding bruh." he says. Jaden nods. "Right." he replies sarcastically as he sips some more latte. Yami sighs. "Anyhow Jay, I called you here to speak to you in private."

Jaden raises an eyebrow. "Uhm...why just me?' Yami leans closer to him, eyes baring into Jaden's soul. "Isn't it obvious Jay?" The leader's tone takes on a more seductive tone.  He then whispers, "Out of all the others, you are my favourite." Jaden blushes at this. "R-Really?" Yami nods. "If you were not my favourite, then why is it that I entrust you with all my secrets?" Jaden smiles. "You're right."

END OF FLASHBACK

Jaden is so lost in his thoughts that he does not notice when the others walk in. "Hello!!Earth to Jaden!!" says Yuma as he waves his hand over Jaden's face. Jaden laughs and gets up. "Hey Yuma!! Hey guys!!" All four of them hug each other and take their seats. "Man, this brings back memories." says Yusei. "He is clearly doing this on purpose!" says Yuya, pointing a finger at Jaden who raises his hands.

"Hey, it was just a happy coincidence y'all!!" They all laughed. "I think it's best we order some stuff right?" says Yusei. "I will handle this." Yuma announces as he jumps up from his seat, earning giggles from Yuya. "The usuals?" The others nodded. Soon Yuma bounces off to the counter and orders drinks for them. "I still find it funny that we managed to get in here in one piece." says Yuya. "Agreed." Yusei replies. 

"Still though Jay, how have you been coping? I mean, we do know that you and Yami had a little something going on." says Yuya. Jaden glares at him. "Wait, you guys knew?" Yuma snorts with laughter as he sets the drinks down. "Could you two be that more obivous? Besides, I saw you two smooching at Alex's party." he says. Jaden shakes his head. Of course, why did he not think that they would know.

"Anyhow, right to this subject about this Y person." says Yuma. "Already Yuma, you are hitting the nail on the head." says Yusei as he sips some black coffee. Jaden chuckles. "That's Yuu for you." says Jaden. Yuma shrugs. "Still, he is right. This is a very important issue when you think about. I mean, some random dude or dudette stalking us? Now that's scary." says Yuma.

Jaden nods. "The question here is not just about who it is. But also why the person is doing this." he says. "I have a bad feeling I may know why." says Yuma. The others stare at him. "Why?" said Yusei. "Possibly to get back at Yami or something." says Yuma.

Jaden raises his eyebrows. "But last we checked, Yami is actually dead. So it may not be revenge against Yami." he says. "He kinda has a point though because what if that same person murdered Yami and has been trying to get to us the entire time?' says Yuya. They all exchanged terrified glares. "Oh crap."

Elsewhere in Domino City, Yugi sits alone on his bed, hugging his teddy. Besides Jaden, he has yet to accept Yami's death considering that Yami is his big brother and was always around to protect him from bullies. But now that Yami is gone, he is all alone without any support or friends. "Why brother? Why did you have to go?' he whines, tears spilling out of his eyes. Although he still goes to school,  he keeps to himself mostly and rarely speaks to anyone, well anyone except Jaden that is as Anzu his best friend has moved out of town. Jaden is the one guy that he trusts and talks to.

At that moment, his phone buzzes. Yugi growls in irritation. "Who could be disturbing me now?!" he yells. He reaches for the phone and checks it. He gasps as soon as he sees the text which says:

Sweet baby Yugi,

You may appear innocent 

But you are just as much of a devil

As a certain someone you look up to,

Yugi frowns. "Man I don't like the sound of this one bit."

The next day, all four Liars arrive at school, earning loads of shocked reactions from others as no one expected the foursome to reunite talkless of turning up at school. The foursome ignore the others despite feeling completely uneasy and self conscious due to the presence of Y and other things. "Talk about a lovely surprise." They stop in their tracks as Chazz Princeton walks over to them flanked by his gang of cronies. 

Jaden folds his arms. "What exactly do you want Chazz?" Jaden asked. Chazz simply tilts his head. "Isn't it obvious? I intend to settle old scores Yuki?" Jaden rolled his eyes and takes off his glasses. "Look, I ain't got time for you." He simply walks past the guy with the others behind him. "Who is that?" Yusei whispered. Jaden sighs. "My annoying ex. The idiot wants to have a piece of my ass but nah." Yuma snorts. "Really?" He then looks at the guy uncertainly. 

Jaden nods. Yugi meanwhile walks along the hallway alone. No one looks towards his direction and he would rather keep that way. Jaden spots Yugi and yells, "Hey Yug!!" Yugi looks up and smiles upon seeing Jaden and the others. "Guys!!" he squeals and runs over to them and hugs Jaden. "Oh dear Yug, what has happened to you kiddo?" Yusei asked, voice filled with concern. Yugi pouts. 'I..I have been lonely." The others pitied the kid. "We need to help the kid man." says Yuma. Jaden nods. Hopefully Y won't attack the kid. The gang do not notice a hooded figure watching them. "Finally all the dolls are gathering in the dollhouse. Remaining one more."

Yes I had to drag Yugi into this mess and you will understand how crucial Yugi is to this story later. Yes Yugi is one of the liars officially. Remains one more person who would come as a surprise to you guys.

Okay...one, I seriously love your stuff. I was just looking for some of my fav ships, stumbled upon your page...it's addicting. There are only 2 ships I like as much in all of yugioh (soulshipping and blueshipping). I dont think I have seen anything on this, but what is your take on Bonds Beyond Time and how the rest of 5Ds handled being told Yusei dueled alongside ATEM and Judai? (I am of the opinion, even with anime shenanigans, Yusei is one of the few who could actually take on Atem with a reasonable chance of winning. I'll see your 'willing your deck to give you what you want' and raise you 'I have a god literally putting cards in my deck'). Thoughts? Sorrh...I am often long winded...

I imagine them collectively going like “YOU DID WHAT?!?!” while Yusei talks about it like “no big deal” x°° delightful scene. I also imagine that Yusei does try to see if they’re alive somewhere in their world (I can’t remember how many years passed according to the canon timeline, but I’m pretty sure Yugi and Jaden are supposed to be alive). The main question would be if they remember about him, I would personally have no idea!

I agree honestly, a Yusei vs Yami is something I would pay to see. I get that Atem is that one protagonist no one is “supposed” to beat, but I am so ready to see that duel that it wouldn’t bother me to see Yusei lose. I’d be okay with that. It would still be an amazing duel. With all the due special effects and supernatural powers, lol. (I’d also be very okay with a Yusei win or a tie hahahaha)

You've heard about Yugi adopt Jaden au, but I raise you Yuma adopt Yuto au

Every few years Yugioh comes back and takes over my life.

And as I rewatch the anime I can’t stop thinking about a world where Jaden was raised by Yugi.

I don’t know if you all remember but a few years back there was a creator on here and they had an au were the Gx gang were raised by the Duel monster gang. But they are gone now and I can’t find their stuff😢 but it’s okay. I’ve got my own ideas on this!

Instead of having the whole Gx gang raised by the DM gang we are just going to focus on Jaden.

When Jaden is four all the drama with Yubel happens. His parents aren’t around very often, and Yubel is being Yubel. She sees Jaden fighting and losing duels so she lashes out at the other duelest because in the dark world if Jaden lost that duel he’d be dead. She’s just protecting him. He designs the Neo-spacians and they get sent into space, and his parents make the request for Yubel to be sent up as well (I know in the show it was Jaden but we’re going to say it was his parents idea first)

Jaden is now having horrible nightmares about Yubel and his shadow magic is lashing out. He’s four. He has so much power and no idea how to control it. So his parents, afraid of their child take him to get ‘help.’ Whatever it is that they do it blocks out Jaden’s powers and his memories. He can’t remember Yubel, he can’t see spirits. But it’s to late. He’s already branded a social pariah and his parents are scared of him and he doesn’t know why. His parents just can’t take it anymore and drop the kid off at a fire station (don’t know if this is a thing in Japan but in some states you can drop a kid off at any age at and just leave) or maybe they just die. Either way they are gone and he’s in an orphanage. Alone, scared, no spirits, parents, or friends.

Here is where Yugi comes in.

Our boy just graduated. DSOD just happened. (Jaden’s cards going to space were Kaiba testing things for his satellite thingy) Kaiba is AWOL. But Yugi doesn’t know why…yet.

Maybe he’s in town for a tournament, or college, but for some reason he’s in town, and what he does find is this kid dueling by himself in a park. No one will go near him and he looks so lonely. And Yugi knows that feeling. So he goes over and plays with the kid. Jaden is ecstatic, the king of games wants to duel him! Best day ever.

Over time the two keep running into each other until Yugi learns about the kids situation. No family, no friends, he’s alone in the world. And Yugi, he just can’t stand that. Yes Jaden is a little loud and over excited but he’s a great kid and Yugi can’t even comprehend why his parents would abandon him. So he makes the decision to go and adopt this kid.

But the adoption’s weird. He expected a lot of questions. He’s 18 after all, and while he’s got his grandpa’s support, he’s still 18 years old trying to adopt a 4 year old. But the orphanage basically throws the kid at him happy to be rid of the problem. (Everyone in that part of town knows what used to happen when Jaden dueled.) and Yugi is perplexed. He’s not mad, it’s the outcome he wanted, but why is everyone so scared of the kid?

He tries to find out but there are no records of Jaden. Who his parents are, or what happened. (Rich people have the ability to get certain records closed) so he goes to the one person he can think of who might be able to find those records, Kaiba. But when he gets there Mokuba is barely keeping it together. Yugi asked where Seto is and the kid just breaks down, telling him all about Seto’s trip to the afterlife to duel Atem and Yugi is floored. Why would he be so stupid. Mokuba begs Yugi to go after his brother. But Yugi hesitates, he’s got Jaden to worry about now.

“Who’s Jaden?” And it’s in this moment that Yugi realizes he was so wrapped up in adopting Jaden, getting him home, and trying to figure out why that whole town was scared of a 4 year old, that he didn’t tell anyone about Jaden! So he quickly explains to Mokuba who Jaden is and what is happening and why he needs Seto’s help.

Mokuba didn’t think he could like Yugi anymore then he already did, after all Yugi has helped him and Seto a lot, but now! After learning he saved a kid for an orphanage and an awful upbringing like he and Seto had, he adores this man. (Now if Seto would just get his head out of his butt and realize that Yugi isn’t just his rival but also a perfect match. He’s the biggest rivalshipper) but he needs Yugi to go after Seto, after all who else can?

So Yugi calls Joey to watch Jaden. And Joey is experiencing so many different emotions, having so many breakdowns. What do you mean you got a Kid Yug? What do you mean Kaiba went to the Afterlife to duel Atem? What do you mean you’re going after him? Why? I’m so confused!!

But he instantly loves Jaden. They both love dueling, they both have empty heads. Uncle Joey is in the house! He offers to go after Kaiba for Yugi, Jaden can’t lose him, but Yugi insist he go. He wants to see Atem, but he also knows he has a better chance than Joey at coming back.

So after Kaiba Yugi goes. Jaden’s safe with Joey and Mokuba.

And if this isn’t in the top 5 weirdest thing Yugi’s ever done, which is saying something.

He meets up with Kaiba and Atem. And Atem has spent the last month yelling at Kaiba for coming here because the man didn’t plan on how to get back. And here comes Yugi, Atem sees him and starts to lose it because, either Yugi is dead or he followed Kaiba here and he doesn’t know which is worse. Until Yugi starts yelling at Kaiba as well. Because “I had to leave my son to come get you!” And hold up now Atem and Kaiba are Floored because “son?”

Atem’s wondering if it’s been way longer than he thought and Yugi and Kaiba have just aged well, or did he miss something THAT big when he was with his aibou.

So Yugi has to explain who Jaden is. (Kaiba’s in love but he doesn’t realize it) and Atem is so proud.

Yugi drags Seto back down to earth but not before some adventures in the afterlife. That may end with Atem coming back down with them by accident. (A gift from the gods, Atem didn’t plan or ask for it, but he will forever be grateful for this second chance at life) Uncle Atem gets to meet his nephew and he’s pumped.

Jaden grows up so loved. Learning from the best. Seto finds out about Jaden’s past and Atem works with the kid on unlocking his powers once again while Kaiba tries to retrieve Jaden’s cards from space. (They are his soul cards, he’s suppose to have them, just as Kaiba is suppose to have Blue-eyes, or Atem the Dark Magician. And Seto just sent them to space!! Yugi was not happy when he found out, he doesn’t blame Seto, but he’s not happy)

Jaden grows up going to all of his dad’s tournaments. They give the kid a baseball hat and sunglasses so no one knows what the ‘prince of duels’ looks like.

Eventually Yugi and Seto get their crap together and start dating/get married. Seto is the most over protective Oto-san ever. Only rivaled by uncle Atem.

When Jaden is fourteen he’s ready to go to duel school. He enrolls are Jaden Yuki. His transcript does not mention his parents, as Jaden doesn’t want any special privileges at the school.

Yugi gives his son winged kuriboh on his way to his entrance test. The whole gang is there in a private sweet to watch the entrance exams and see Jaden’s duel against Dr. Crowler.

Seto is furious at his staffs behavior but Yugi and Atem are more focused on Jaden finally being able to see spirits again. They’re so excited. Seto less so, he’s happy for his son but he’s so focused on his employee bullying a child, his child. (Lets just say Crowler owes keeping his job to Jaden, he will have no clue of this until after Jaden graduates)

Gx is so much funnier because Kaiba is hearing about all the crazy things his staff is doing and he’s ready to fire everyone, but his son keeps saying he likes them, the school, the adventure. Jaden so desperately doesn’t want any of his classmates to know who his parents are, not wanting to be treated differently. So Seto can’t fire them, yet. But once Jaden graduates he is overhauling this school.

Yugi is at a cross between laughing at Atem and Seto being over protective and also losing his mind because who stored the dark lords at this school! “Seto, did you know about this?” (Seto’s never been more scared of his husband)

Season one is uninterrupted. But season 2 is close. Even Yugi wants to step in when the evil cult comes to light. But it’s season 3 that makes the family lose their minds.

Ok my brain is weird…

I saw both your Yugi and Katsuya raise Jaden/Judai and your mermaid post and my brain went to the duel with the admiral where the guy basically kidnaps Jaden/Judai after the duel. (I don’t know why I say basically he did kidnap him)

If that happens how badly does everyone react? Mom, Dad, Aunts and Uncles, Kaiba he’s probably also an uncle and just refuses to admit it.

Mom was already on the island because she got called to help teach the student Duelists how to handle Shadow Games and she's already PISSED about the situation and that just makes it worse.

Dad was at home with the twins, Shizuye and Suguru, and when he finds out, he gets the next boat to the island with them.

One aunt is there already because she has to be, and starts sending monsters to look for him. The others are scanning for information about the admiral and trying to locate him.

Kaiba would be tracking the submarine, and contacting the Headmaster about his incompetence.

Oh my goodness, Paradox has dialogue with a ton of characters! Here’s his conversation with Yami Yugi, which basically recaps a crucial turn of the duel from Bonds Beyond Time.

I know this is completly out of left field but I love the idea of Yugi's Grandpa giving Seto parenting advice.

Considering Seto never had a great father, and the others either had terrible father's or non existent ones, he's the one Seto goes for advice.

This man single handedly raised Yugi, and Atem by proxy and has witnessed the supernatural time and time again. He's watched them all grow up and as they all become close, and Seto absolutely apologises for everything, Solomon definitely views all Yugi's friends as his grandchildren.

There's no one better, and him just having tea with Seto late at night while the others are babysitting.

"I don't know... I never had a plan going into this and yeah his nightmares are stopping but..." Trailed of Seto, looking down into the tea he'd yet to drink. "But you think you aren't doing enough" said Solomon, chuckling lightly as Seto looks back at him with a surprised face. "I thought the same when I had my children and when Yugi was young . I always thought, there must be more I can do for them."

The elderly man took Seto's hand in his, his words firm but gentle as the man always was. "Seto, I've seen you grow. I've watched you become the man you've become today, lowering your guard and accepting the help offered to you. Your son smiles brighter when you're in the room, every time he comes over he talks about you and the movies you watch together, the games you play. All that and being a man of your position comes with its own challenges. What I'm saying is, Jaden, could not ask for a better dad."

Seto blinked, his eyes getting misty. Solomon smiled "and you dear boy will always have myself and the rest to help you, whatever we can." Seto smiled back, graciously "thank you" Solomon got up, setting down a bowl of cut apples "come, I can't finish these alone."

Yugioh Pretty Little Liars Style Chapter 1

Imagine the Yugioh protagonists as Pretty Little Liars characters or in a universe similar to that one. This was originally posted on A03 years ago which is why Yusaku, Yuga and Yudias aren't featured here as they hadn't debuted at the time this story was written.

Jaden sighs as he walks into his bedroom. His mum was out thankfully so he could do whatever the heck he wanted. He flops on his bed and reaches for his phone in his backpack. A year has passed since the burial of  Yami Yugi aka the Original Doll and King Bee of Domino City. He and the rest of the gang have since moved on, or are trying to. Yusei is in Satellite City with his mother, Yuya is in Kyoto with his brothers and Yuma is in England with his family. Jaden meanwhile decides to stay in Domino as of the three of them, he is the only one that has not truly moved on from the whole ordeal. Not suprising considering he was Yami's closet confidante and second in command plus his lover. Yes most people are not aware of them being lovers though there was still speculation about that considering he and Yami tended to get 'friendly' at a couple of events.

Jaden's thoughts get distracted when a familiar beeping noise arouses his attention. Checking his phone, he raises an eyebrow as soon as he sees a rather mysterious message:

 Still crying rivers Jay? How long do you think you can continue to deceive others with your mask?

Soon that bridge you have put up to protect yourself shall burn. Mark my words.

Elsewhere, Yuya had just wrapped up with his art class and was heading home for the night. He too gets a similar message whose contents are as follows:

Yuya panics upon seeing this. The night in question was a rather infamous incident involving himself and his older brother Yuri. Basically, Yuri caught him with his boyfriend Rex and that caused a fight between them. To be quite fair, Yami actually beat him there as he had a brief fling with Rex a couple summers ago. Still Yami egged him on to do the deed as a way of getting even with Yuri who had always been an evil bitch to him. Why did I agree to come back here?! I need to get out of this shithole and return to Domino as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Yusei finishes up fixing a bike that he made. He had always been passionate about racing and always looked for opportunities to race.  Heck he is thinkin of joining Formula 1 someday. Yusei's phone buzzes and sure enough, he gets a  mysterious text as well.

Those that cheat do not last long at the top.

Yusei blinks after reading it. "What?" he says. It was then that the realization sinks in. "Oh shit..."

Yuma sighs as he walks into the house. "What a long day." he mutters. "Yuma are you home?" came his mother's voice. Yuma smiles softly and pokes his his head through the door. "Yeah mum, I'm home!!" he shouts. His older sister Kari ruffles his hair. "Hey!!" he yelled. "Yuma go get changed." she says. He nods and runs up the stairs. "Careful!!" Mrs Tsukumo calls after him.

As soon as he gets into the room, he throws his bag onto the floor and jumps on the bed. Just then his phone buzzes. Yuma snatches it up and sees a text. His jaw drops upon reading it.

Once the coast is clear, he goes back to examine the text. Who else besides Yami and the others know of that?

Jaden then sets up a group chat for himself and the others as he suspects that the others may have gotten similar texts to his.

Seto was never one to complain about anything, especially now that he found some free time to spend the whole week with you, so a little bit of cold shouldn’t bother him so much...Despite the fact that It was already late December and snow was everywhere.

Seeing that, you giggled at him and how he tried to stop himself from stuttering because of the cold, but failing miserably.

As well as that, his fingers were blue and he was trying to warm them up.

You grasped his hands in yours and started exhaling warm air on them, which had him a stuttering mess.

“Stop that, I’m not cold, S/O!” he tried to protest, but you only grinned at him.“Oh, shut up, Seto the Snowman!” you smirked as you put his hands on your neck, trying to warm them up a bit.

Despite his protests, you started softly kissing the back of his hands, each and every knuckle, and you could swear his face couldn’t get any redder.

Chuckling, you guided him to the nearest cafe, a very intimate and smol place, very warm, the smell of hot chocolate filling the air soothingly.

“Don’t do that again.” Seto muttered, looking away. “Not in public...”“But Seto, darling, you seemed like you were enjoying yourself. Mutou Yugi

You and Yugi decided to go out, see the beautiful Christmas light and admire the ethereal Winter Wonderland, but what neither of you expected was for this to be a much colder evening than all the other ones, and whilst yes, you enjoyed the beauty of the city...You were both freezing to death.

Well, Yugi more than you, for some reason, but nonetheless, pretty annoying.

“Yugi, dear, do you want to go to the arcade together? Maybe we can warm up a bit there.” you asked, worried for him.“It would be fun...But first, I wanna show you something!” Yugi grinned innocently, guiding you in the city center, near the big Christmas Tree, and now, you waited. “Just 10 more minutes, I promise!” he exclaimed in a hyped voice, while trying to warm up his hands by rubbing them together.

Chuckling, you held his hands and started rubbing them yourself, then when you felt them a bit warmer, you kissed his knuckles, smiling softly while at it, as you heard Yugi squeak slightly.

“S-S/O, I should be doing this to you, not vice-versa!” he protested in a panicked yet embarrassed voice.“I felt like doing it. Doesn’t matter who does it, it’s sweet nonetheless.” you chuckled at his blushy face and adorable pout, which made you kiss his cheek too.“Oh, S/O, look! It started!” he raised his voice, pointing upwards, towards the sky and needless to say, a gorgeous show of colourful fireworks began, making both of you awww in delight.

Before it ended, you felt your hand being squeezed and looking to your right, you see Yugi kissing your hand tenderly, making your heart beat faster and melt at how adorable he was being.

It was a Winter day much colder than all the other ones this year and that’s when you and Katsuya decided to have a date, not realising that you’d both die of cold.

He’s always been a gentleman, so it’s no surprise that he offered you his jacket, not accepting any refuses, so now you were feeling warm...But poor Katsu was barely able to speak from the cold.

“Katsu, you’re freezing to death, let’s go inside, okay?” you tried, but he shook his head.“No, S/O, we were supposed to go on a date...” he managed to usher between his trembling.“We can have an inside date too, you know? I don’t like the cold that much. My home is nearby, we can watch a movie or chill by the fireplace.” you tried to suggest, but you could see he was second-guessing himself.“But I don’t want to ruin our date...” he pouted and you could feel your heart skipping a beat at how cute he was.“Baby, any second spent with you is well-spent, no matter the place. Besides, it was you who was so sweet to give me his jacket and make sure I’m warm and comfortable. Come on, let’s go home.” you smiled tenderly at him, grasping both his hands and kissing them softly, before leaning your face in his touch.

He remained speechless all the way home, and more, even when you were both cuddled up in front of the fireplace, the blanket over both of you.

All of a sudden, you feel Katsuya hug you tighter, kissing your temple, then mimicking your actions by kissing your hands and smiling tenderly as he leaned in your warm touch.

“I love you so much, S/O. I don’t even know how to put it in words, but I really do. You’re so sweet and understanding...I just hope I can be the perfect boyfriend for you as well.” he smiled softly, making your heart melt.“Awww, Katsu, you’re such a sweetheart, I couldn’t possibly ask for a better boyfriend than you. I love you.” you looked at him adoringly once again, melting at his lovely words, leaning in his embrace and closing your eyes, feeling inner peace and happiness.
