there's a lot I just love to bits about the Yuri duel links event, but god I ADORE how it really just drives home the fact this purple little terror is... a kid. he's just a fucking kid!!! not only that but DL really just strolls up and basically says "yeah, Yuri is turbo childish and leaps and bounds the least mature yuboy and it not even remotely a contest."

HE IS SO 14 AND ALSO SOMETIMES ACTS LIKE A 9 YEAR OLD HYPED UP ON GUMMY WORMS. HIS BOUNCING-OFF-THE-WALLS EXCITED ATTITUDE IS CUTE. I THINK HE'S CUTE, SUE ME!!!

I love that Yugo was so disconnected from the Arc-V plot.

Like here's a guy who pops in and out of the plot on his motorcycle, and not even by his own whims. He just pops between dimensions with no clue where he's going and he rolls with it. His big main goal is just to locate Rin. He's got no real clue about the actual plot for the most part, aside from what Yuzu told him and what he finds out incidentally while looking for Rin/chasing after Yuri.

And he's one fourth of the big bad. Most disconnected Zarc fragment out there.

Asking why characters in Yugioh solve everything with a card game instead of punching each other is like asking why characters in a fantasy setting that also happens to have guns still use swords to solve everything instead of shooting their opponent.
