So, my assumption that Maguto could be somehow the Maguro counterpart (despite being a Sogetsu) after seeing the preview for ep 67 got confirmed when the credits listed Furukawa Makoto as Maguto's VA who also voiced Maguro.
I think this makes the second case where a Sevens VA is voicing an animal instead of a human or "human-passing" alien after Bochi having the VA of Yoshio.
Guess the writers just wanted Maguro's VA for Maguto because a dueling tuna? We need him to have the same voice as the fish duelist from Sevens who loves to end his sentences with "tuna"!
I still find it odd to make Maguro's counterpart a Sogetsu instead some random duelist who could show up at some point to face Manabu or any other Go Rush character tho. This really can't have any deeper meaning otherwise Gakuto and Maguro would somehow end up "related" and uh... I don't think this wlll happen especially with Maguto being just a big tuna in a humanoid robotic suit...

Furukawa might just have admitted something...
Tumblr media
During today’s concert at the Imperial Theatre the following happened:
Furukawa: “A very, very long time ago, Iー”
Inoue: “How old are you, 200 years old?”
Furukawa: “Don’t underestimate me.”

I was really, really bored, so I made this personal ranking of my favourite to least favourite Der Tods. I tried to include as many as I could, but excluded some because I wasn’t that familiar with them. Was inspired by @emptymasks‘ tier, but I made my own template.
I ranked them based overall on both vocals and acting interpretation of the character. For Uwe and Máté specifically, I divided their versions of the character based on the different production they were in (For Uwe, it’s Vienna and Essen and for Máté, it’s Hungary, Vienna and Japan).  It’s all my own personal opinion but I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts!
Below are the list of everyone on my ranking:
S: Stanley Burleson (Netherlands 1999 2017 2018), Uwe Kröger (Vienna 1992-1994)
A: Park Hyo-Shin (South Korea, 2013), Jeon Dong Seok ( South Korea, 2013, 2015), Kanji Ishimaru (Japan Toho 2010-2012), Shizuki Asato (Japan Takarazuka 1998-1999)
B: Uchino Masaaki (Japan Toho 2000-2001 2004), Asaka Manato (Japan Takarazuka 2016), Uwe Kröger (Essen 2001-03), Kamarás Máté (Vienna 2003-2006), Mester Tamás (Szeged 1996), Kamarás Máté (Miskloc 1999-2001, Budapest 2007-2010)
C: Xia/Kim Junsu (South Korea 2012-2013 2018-2019), Kamarás Máté (Japan Toho 2016), Shirota Yu (Japan Toho 2010 2015 2016), Mizu Natsuki (Japan Takarazuka 2007), Thomas Borchert (Vienna 1993-1994), Jesper Tydén (Essen 2001-2003), Oliver Arno (Berlin 2008, Antwerp 2009, Germany Tour 2010-2011, Vienna 2012-2014), Dolhai Attila (Budapest 2009)

Tumblr media
well this is a stupid thing i made a few weeks ago and forgot about, my brother had been showing me too many tiermaker images and i never thought i’d do one but then realised there are many deaths and i have opinions so...
i tried to include as many different deaths that i know about and could find images of (yes i included ivan ozhogin and kirill gordeev even though they were just concert performances but look i just really like them)
if you want to do it yourself, the link is in the replies to this post (can’t put it here otherwise once again tumblr blocks the post from showing up in tags) and don’t think you have to use all of them, i just included them all more for the example than anything, but if you only know a few then don’t feel like you have to rank them all.
obviously this is just my personal opinion, for sure i’m up for talking with people about their favourites, but not for arguing. everyone’s got different tastes, doesn’t make any of us wrong
i couldn’t find a way to show the names of the images so if want to know who everyone is then i’ll put it below here
S: Uwe Kröger (Vienna 1992-1994, Essen 2001-03, Berlin 2008), Kamarás Máté (Miskloc 1999-2001, Vienna 2003-2006, Budapest 2007-2010, Japan Toho 2016)

Note
top 5: top 5 favorite musical theater stars
1. Aya Hirano - Honestly one of the single best actresses I’ve seen on the Japanese stage, her eyes alone can carry a musical, and that’s before she opens her mouth.
2. Sonim - SONIM.
3. Mitsuo Yoshihara - The man, despite not fitting the general LOOK for a Japanese musical star, especially compared to stars such as Yoshio Inoue and Furukawa Yuta who possess an almost feline elegance, is incredibly charismatic, knowing how to hold an audience by the throat in two seconds, and has that very distinctive, brassy voice.
4.  Jeon Dongseok - ....look. It was hard because I was torn between him and Actual Disney Prince Naoto Kaiho, but I’ve seen him in action more so I felt like it was fairer to include him. His Dracula is.............wow. Wow.
5. Oka Kojiro - He likes my mom’s posts on Instagram. I CAN’T dislike this man. I am physically incapable of disliking him. Even if he kind of. Barked through 1789. The Daddy Capulet of my heart.
