My Commentary: This A.M.V. showcases mostly Koushiro's Adoptee storyline, while also including brief scenes from 2020 eps that focused on Koushiro's inclusion or highlights. Extended Commentary: An A.M.V. I made in just under 2 hours, or, about an hour and 50 minutes total of editing, plus saving and review checks; as I aimed to finish just in time for: "Kou&Ten Day" a.k.a a "Koushiro & Tentomon Day" {Focus} (5/10, May 10) in the J.P.N fan base, the name comes from the "Kou" of Koushiro's J.P.N name, {Kou = Go = "Five" (5)} as pronounced in J.P.N + "Ten", a nickname for "Tentomon" partially given by Mrs. Izumi during "02" ("Tento-san") Koushiro fans often share Koushiro works on this day, including platonic works.

This particular work, specifically for Koushiro x Taichi, includes a Queer focus lens as the original song did. (Please be respectful if interacting on this work!)

Juro

Juro Izumi (2 loops ago), Kyuta Shiba, Prisoner 426, & Fluffy the cat may all be alternate identities of the same version of this guy, but we cannot discount Juro Izumi (2188) and Juro Kurabe (Final loop Juro Izumi), even if Mr. 2188 doesn’t actually come in to hang out with everyone else.

Ageswap Shen and Yoshi have this very cute slow burn romance that goes on for most of seasons 4 and 5, and by season 6 they're dating, but I think it would be incredibly funny if they never officially got together.

As in they mutually confess their love for one another, hang out without the rest of the ageswap gang but never call it a date, move in together, have kids and it's only when they're 35 that they go "Hang on, are we a couple?"

Like one day it's just:

Shen: Yoshi are we dating.

Yoshi: *playing with Miwa and Izumi* I... I do not know? I don't think we ever asked each other out officially.

They call the rest of the ageswap gang to ask what they think. Mayday laughs so hard she cries and June just pats Yoshi on the shoulder, cause of course he forgot to ask the love of his life to be his girlfriend. Saki, who is in Japan and so is part of this conversation over discord or whatever, asks Kirby to turn the laptop around so that Shen and Yoshi can see his facial expression. Shadow's head is in her hands.

Izumi: "Mom! Did you see that!? I dodged Dad's every wind blade!"

Yoshino: "I did! Izumi was so amazing that I couldn't take my eyes off of him." *Kisses Izumi's cheek* (〃＾▽＾〃)(〃＾▽＾〃)

his Daemon’s name Izumi (Famale). she settled as a German Shepherd- actually she’s a East European Shepherd but no one really cares about details. ahh idk when they settled since we know nothing about Kunikida’s story.

Dazai

his Daemon’s name is Shizuko (Female). she settled as a Caracal when they’re almost 16. Everyone thought that when they settled it would be this big dramatic thing but really they just woke up one day the they were settled. they didn’t even tell anyone about it until a few days later when they casually mentioned it to Chuuya and Kitsu

Ranpo

his Daemon’s name is Moroto (Male). he settled as a Raven after they met Fukuzawa, i haven’t actually watched the latest season yet so i don’t know much about their story

Yosano

her Daemon’s name is Kaoru (Male). he settled as a Nightingale during the Great War. (if you can’t tell, i also don’t know much about her story.)

Atsushi

his Daemon’s name is Yuan (they didn’t even know what gender was for a long time and she thinks its stupid to limit yourself to just one). She settled as a Pygmy Rabbit when they jumped off of the train with Kyoka and Taro during ep 8 (yes, it’s as small as it looks)

her Daemon’s name is Taro (Male leaning but also doesn’t really care, so Demiboy). they Settled as a Snow Petrel at the end of season 2, when they’re talking to Dazai and Shizuko before the crash the plane into the Moby Dick

his Daemon’s name is Seki (Female). she settled as a Prairie Dog sometime before they joined the ADA? again, we don’t know much about their story yet

ドキュメンタリー映画『世界で戦うフィルムたち』

世界に向けて挑戦を続ける若手映画監督・亀山睦木が、日本映画の未来を模索した実録ドキュメンタリー。

亀山監督は自身の監督作「12ヶ月のカイ」を110以上もの海外の映画祭に応募し、現地の声を聞くためアメリカからヨーロッパまで足を運んだ。その道のりを追い、キャストやスタッフの思いを込めた作品を1人でも多くの���客に観てもらうべく奮闘する亀山監督の姿を映し出す。

さらに亀山監督は、日本を代表する俳優・寺島しのぶ、ハリウッド作品も手がける清水崇監督や北村龍平監督ら映画関係者にインタビューを敢行。世界で活躍する日本人の経験や、若手監督・俳優のリアルな苦悩が本人たちの言葉で語られる。 ーー 【STORY】 This is a true-life documentary by Mutsuki Kameyama, a young film director who continues to challenge the world, in search of the future of the Japanese film industry.

Kameyama submitted their film "12 Months of KAI" to over 110 overseas film festivals, and traveled from the U.S. to Europe to hear the voices of local audiences. The film follows Kameyama's journey and their struggle to get as many viewers as possible to see their film, which is filled with the thoughts and feelings of the cast and crew.

They also interviewed leading Japanese actor Shinobu Terajima, as well as directors Takashi Shimizu and Ryuhei Kitamura, who have also worked on Hollywood productions, and others involved in the film industry. In their own words, they speak of the experiences of Japanese filmmakers working around the world and the real-life struggles of young directors and actors.

2. Cooking headcanon

I think that Koushiro is reliant on his mother’s cooking fora long time. When Koushiro is researching by himself, then he’s liable to losetrack of time for meals, or else he’ll graze on unhealthy snacks. But Mrs.Izumi loves cooking for him, and Koushiro is always a dutifully grateful son.

Koushiro is very nervous when it’s time for him to move outfrom his parents’ apartment. Mrs. Izumi helps soothe his fears by giving himcooking lessons. This is valuable bonding time for them both, and Koushirobegins to feel more confident about living on his own, even though he stillthinks that his cooking is inferior to his mother’s. Koushiro keeps a notebookof handwritten recipes that his mother gave to him as a present.

6. Hugging headcanon

Koushiro is generally awkward with hugs. He doesn’t think ofhimself as an affectionate person. When he meets Taichi and Sora in thefootball club, he discovers that Taichi is a warm person who gives excellenthugs, while Sora’s hugs remind him of his mother. (Both Sora and his mother arekind people, but they both worry about whether their hugs even help Koushiro.)

Koushiro thinks that Taichi and Sora are the two coolestkids in the club, and they shouldn’t waste their hugs on him. But over time, asKoushiro learns to like himself better, he feels happier to receive hugs fromhis friends. Which is fortunate for him, because his new friend Mimi is moreaggressively affectionate than either Taichi or Sora, and she is constantlysurprising him with hugs in class!

9. General physicalcontact headcanon

Like I said, Koushiro isn’t a touchy-feely kind of person.He’s generally very respectful of people’s personal space. After all, there areplenty of times when he just wants to be left alone. And Koushiro doesn’t likebeing touched by strangers.

HOWEVER. Koushiro’s demeanor changes when he startsexplaining a fascinating topic. His voice becomes louder; he might wave hisnotebooks in your face; or he might grab your arm and drag you to see theresults on his computer. He might even hug you, and his grip is surprisingly strong.Koushiro’s friends live for these moments!

12. Jewelry headcanon

I’m afraid that I’m going to sound boring, but I think ofKoushiro as the least likely to wear jewelry. Maybe that’s because I don’t wearmuch jewelry myself! (I do think that other boys like jewelry, especiallyYamato.) Anyway, my vision for Koushiro’s style was always different from what Tri came up with. As in, I imagineKoushiro as someone who doesn’t worry too much about his appearance, and hedoesn’t try too hard. When he dresses nice, he dresses conservatively, becausethe only people he wants to impress are his parents.

But I want to say something more interesting about jewelry!

I think that Mr. and Mrs. Izumi give Koushiro his biologicalparents’ wedding rings. Koushiro puts the rings on a shelf where he can seethem, and during one emotional night he puts them both on his finger to try tofeel closer to them. He might decide to use the rings with his future spouse.:)

13. Nicknameheadcanon

I struggle with giving these characters nicknames infanfiction, because I’m not familiar with Japanese and the honorifics. I likecalling him Kou though.

Speaking of nicknames, I do like the dub nickname “Izzy”because it is THE SILLIEST NICKNAME EVER. I think it’s a suitable nickname forsomeone as quirky as Koushiro. And it rhymes with his classmate “Mimi,” whichis fun. On top of all that, it’s got the unintentional emotional consequencesof being a nickname of his adoptive parents’ surname.

My sister writes Taichi as calling him “Iz,” so my heartalways melts at that!

15. Singing headcanon

Koushiro isn’t a bad singer, but you will hear adifferent perspective on this topic when you read my birthday present for you.

However, Koushiro’s singing voice is timid. He can be sweetto listen to, but he’s quiet. Koushiro prefers to listen to his friends who areeither more talented or simply louder at singing.

This changes when Koushiro adopts his daughter, and hestarts singing lullabies for her. Then it doesn’t matter how quiet his singingvoice is, because it is exactly the right volume for her. Koushiro likessinging for his girl, and not really for anyone else.

16. Anger headcanon

It’s rare to see Koushiro angry, because he’s good atstaying calm under pressure. Koushiro is also pretty tolerant of his friendswhen they’re annoying. After all, he thinks that he can be pretty annoyinghimself.

If someone is bothering Koushiro when he’s trying toconcentrate, then he will tell that person to “Please go away, you’re being a nuisance.”When Koushiro is irritated or wants to be alone, he speaks with an odd mixtureof blunt honesty and habitual politeness.

In contrast, if Koushiro is actually trying to talk to afriend and they aren’t listening to him, then he might snap and lose histemper. He’s not a particularly aggressive person, but the sight is unusualenough to be unnerving.

17. Soft spotheadcanon

Koushiro has a huge soft spot for bugs! He never kills them.If he spots a spider in his kitchen, he’s likely to forget what he’s doing andstart observing how beautiful the tiny creature is. One time when he waslittle, his father swatted a fly and Koushiro burst into tears. Another time,Koushiro brought a giant beetle to his class for show-and-tell, which madestudents scream.

Most people dislike bugs, so Koushiro accepts that it’s justanother part of his personality that makes him weird. But honestly, bugs areeasier to understand than people most of the time.

I tried to think of a clever response, but I HAVE to go withhis laptop! It’s obvious because it’s true! Koushiro might update his Pineapplelaptop over the years, but he always keeps one on hand like an absolute nerd.Koushiro’s computer is so clearly important to his personality and to theoverall plot, that I’m not even sure what else to say!

At worst, Koushiro relies too much on computers so that hecan avoid talking to real people. I think there are days when he worries thathe is more like a robot than a human being.

However, when he goes to the Digital World, Koushiro learnsthat he can use his computer to help people and even save lives. His laptop suddenlygives him a higher purpose, and it even helps him connect to people.

And Koushiro’s laptop is a fountain of knowledge!

I don't think about the far future of DDMG (as in the stuff that happens after the main story is concluded) much compared to the rest of the au. Part of it is I want to see how these characters grow and change, so how their story end feels organic and earned, and if my ideas are set in stone there might not be enough wiggle room for that to happen.

I have an idea of what jobs the Turtles will have. Leo becomes a park ranger, Raph works in turtle conservation, Donnie is a scientist and has a lot of projects he's working on at once, and Mikey goes into animation and makes his own comics. April gets into investigative journalism, and Casey runs a mechanic shop + is April's cameraman.

I've got vague ideas of their relationships and if they have kids:

Leo adopts two girls, Lita and Yumi. He adopts Lita first, but Yumi is older. I don't know if he's dating anyone, or who that'd be, and the answer often changes. DDMG's Usagi is the main contender right now, who I think is related to Miyamoto but I've not figured out how exactly.

Raph adopts Chompy after Tokka dies in a work accident - they were on a boat, and they got hit by a bad storm. Chompy was very young when it happened, and Raph makes sure that Chompy remembers his mama loved him. Raph also marries Mona, but I flip flop between them dating as teenagers, or meeting after Raph adopts Chompy. They go on to have more kids, and Chompy loves being a big brother.

Donnie I don't know right now, so I'm going to see how his relationships with other characters develops. May end up with April and Casey, someone else entirely, or with no one at all.

Kinda like the idea of Mikey dating Woody and Renet. Don't know if those two are also dating, or if they're friends who are both dating Mikey. For a while, I didn't think Mikey would have kids, mostly cause I imagine him enjoying being the fun uncle, but I recently remembered the TMNT short set in the future (think it was called Teenge Mecha Ninja Turtles or something?) and the kids in that. Mikey essentially pulls a Splinter and accidentally adopts four kids. After he's done panicking, which is in no small part due to an emegency phone call to rat dad who calms him down, his brothers lightly tease him for it ("How do you 'accidently' adopt four kids?" "Shut up Leo.")

Bonus:

April and Casey have Shadow, who is a ball of energy. Her and Chompy are about the same age, and get into a lot of mischief together. She has her uncles, grandpa Kirby and grandfather Splinter wrapped around her little finger.

Robyn, Casey's little sister, becomes a vet and takes over from Socorro when their grandmother eventually retired. Has a son with an ex-boyfriend, and eventually dates her roommate, Ananda.

I've not figured out what happens with Venus yet, but she takes over Tseng's monster themed tourist trap/ tea shop.

Miwa and Shinigami had twins: Izumi and Yoshi. A few years later, they have another child, Hana. Miwa is a locksmith and runs a dojo with her brothers + extended family.
