The Toy's favorite Child
Tumblr media
Notes: This is the first time I'm doing such thing so I'm really nervous XD I didn't know what to put into the background of the drawing so I didn't put any. Maybe I'll edit it soon. Do forgive me for my shading, I'm still learning(trying to)
Synopsis: After starting to live in PlayCare, one creature you became friends with grew a liking to you...
Warning: PLATONIC, headcanon + little story, reader is 12-14 years old, reader is a chill teenager
It's been a year since you got into the PlayCare, passing through the security with laid-back face and leaving the staff confused. They kept you because you seemed useful for them...
You were quite chilly and relaxed, reserved and smart. Also, because of your personality you were almost the same with Cat Nap from cartoons. Maybe that's why you became quick friends with Smiling Critters. With most of them, at least...
The big purple cat was almost never appearing like others from his party. And this interested you.
After a week or so you finally met him face-to-face. You were as calm as always, but your heart was pounding from excitement. You said 'hi' for politeness and introduced yourself, waiting for him to do the same.
Guess what? His face didn't even shift. He continued staring at you with his dead eyes.
After understanding that you won't get an answer from him, you tried to talk about something else.
But he disappeared in blink of an eye.
You were quite disappointed, but you still had the same urge to get to know the living toy better. You knew it'll be a long while...
It was worth 3 months to make him sit and listen to your rambling for 10 minutes. It was worth more months to make him spend at least an hour with you. It took even longer for him to let you stay near him and sleep, leaning onto the puppet. But it was worth the pleasure you get from his warmth and company.
Even though you never heard him talk, it's enough for you to be near him. It's good to talk about any nonsense which randomly comes to your mind and have a listener who won't judge you. It's also good to take a great nap in his fur or stay in complete silence, thinking of your own thing.
The staff, of course, sooner found out the relationship between you and the purple cat puppet.
They tried to use you to their own benefits and new information, but instead you composed some lies which sounded like truth to tell them(Cat Nap helped you a little sometimes, nodding or shaking his head if the lie sounds truthful or not).
When the scientists were starting thinking about taking you for the test next, Cat Nap started to monitor you to make sure you won't end up in the Game Station.
It definitely wasn't him who knocked out the staff members right behind your back. It definitely wasn't him who let out some scratching noises in Home-Sweet-Home. Also, of course, it definitely wasn't his sharp gaze you felt on your gut 24/7.
You liked to use the hair brush on the purple furball. It doesn't move away so you can say that he's at least neutral to your activity(we don't talk about his really quiet purring).
[Now. The small story]
It was a normal day like any other one. More specifically, night. However, this week was quiet strange: the staff members of Playtime Co. except the workers from the PlayCare appeared more often in front of you. When they started talking about 'test', they randomly passed out because of the red smoke. You knew it was one of the Smiling Critters you were hanging out with for a while, but you didn't know why was he doing it.
You were currently sitting with your back leaning against the living cat plush, brushing your companion's tail you gently patted with your free second hand. The only thing that bothered you in that peaceful time was the fact that the purple cat wasn't purring at all. It was staring at you with its dark eyes. Sooner after, you finally asked him about this:
— Is something wrong, Cat Nap?
It didn't answer. Instead, the living toy just stared at you with expressionless eyes, not moving an inch. You weren't intimidated by the stare at all, so you just continued brushing the long tail. You weren't hoping for an answer anyway, but still a small, almost impossible dream was remaining in your heart.
The silence was broken by the raspy, low voice coming out from Cat Nap's voice box.
— The Prototype... Will Save Us.
You flinched.
Wow...
This is the first time he ever said something to you. It was surely a progress for your friendship.
You stared at him with wide eyes for a moment before shifting your attention back to the tail. You shrugged with your shoulders, your face had a relaxed smile.
— I don't know who the Prototype is, but if they helped you somehow, I think they're my saviour too. You're like a home to me.. I can't even imagine what would it be like living without you here!
You chuckled, patting the fluffy tail while Cat Nap looked at you with the same stare. However, something in his eyes changed... Maybe his gaze gained a little more... softness?
He stared at you until you fell asleep on him again. A few minutes of him sinking into his thoughts have passed, the toy putted his head on his paws, wrapping his tail around you like a blanket and soon enough closing his eyes. You would call it the same night-time scenario with Cat Nap in the next morning, because you didn't know that he was comfortably purring, nuzzling himself into your warmth last night...
Notes: OH MY GOD I DID IT :D I'll maybe do part 2, but without promises
Anyways, thank you for wasting your time reading my first-ever-made English fanfic. Do write me some comments about my errors if you find any, I will appreciate it since it'll improve my writing skills.
Have a nice day/evening/night!😘

Returning to the previous Yutu post with his father with no Rizz. Do you think Yutu will try to give his father's unconscious advice to better flirt or Courting Yuu?
It would be a pretty hilarious situation. XD It would be much more comical if Grimm out of pity or because being the agent of chaos that he is decides to join the operation "Teach Dad some Rizz" with Yutu. Only so that said boy, when trying to apply the advice they give him, ends up making tremendous nonsense and shows that he really doesn't have Rizz.
Grim and Yutu giving a facepalm seeing tremendous comic tragedy Rizz's attempt
While Yutu and Grim wonder if love really didn't blind Yuu because they really don't understand how Yuu loves that airhead.
no rizz yes, but context
Yutu in general tries not to mess with the timeline too much. His parents got together on their own the first time... right? Right? Of the dad's on that list the two who I think Yutu would try to give advice to would be Sebek and Silver.
With Sebek, it's because his attitude makes him extremely angry. How dare this guy talk about his parent like that after everything they've been through. I think Sebek! Yutu probably had a really good opinion of Malleus before coming back in time and he still does sort of but all his dad's talking about him is stressing him out. It's less "let's teach dad some rizz" and more "let's teach dad some basic fucking manners" and Grim, who has a very different opinion about what basic manners involve, absolutely gets involved. Sebek is absurdly offended by this because he thinks he is the perfect image of a gentleman, that's why he stumbled over all of his words while trying to compliment Yuu. Because failing to make eye contact and telling someone they "look acceptable today" is peak romance.
Now Silver. Silver, I can see Grim taking it upon himself to teach him rizz and roping Yutu into it because Silver is genuinely interested in taking his advice. Silver knows that he isn't the most educated about courtship techniques, let alone ones that a person from another world would be receptive to, so why not ask the two people who know Yuu best? I feel like Yutu would tell him to "just be himself" and Grim would say something about how gifts are important but the instructions are unclear to Silver so he tells you something about "giving you himself" as a gift... which could be a romantic line but the severe look on his face and the fact it came out of nowhere makes Grim and Yutu want to scream because of how creepy it is.
Except Yuu is clearly flustered and playing with their jacket and giggles about it to both of them later. Maybe they should be more worried about Yuu and not Silver... at least one of them knows what a red flag is.

This is kind of a crack request, but can I ask for Heartabyul, Savanaclaw, and Octavinelle having to babysit a furby for a week? How they get the furby I'll leave to you, but I just wanna see what chaos would unfold XD
I love this. I've never had a furby before but I've seen them and they are horrifying and cursed i love them
Request rules and Masterlists
warning: furby death
Set up: Crowley has decided that students should have to go through a lesson to test their skills as future parents. But we know Crowley, he isn't going to spend a lot of money on fake baby dolls that scream. Instead, he decided to purchase furbys, and have the students babysit them for a week...
Riddle:
he tries his best, and does decently well
like most school things, Riddle aims to do his best and be prepared
but this has an extra level of effort for him, because it's proving he can take care of another being
so he's going to do everything he can for the furby
he'll carry it everywhere with him and give it food, tea, attention, and it'll even study with him
and it goes pretty well
that is, until the furby breaks a rule
he'll scold it and it doesn't care, making Riddle more angry
in the end, the furby got a little burned (it did not survive), and so did the rest of Heartslabyul
Trey:
10/10 furby dad
the best furby dad on this list actually
for starters, his furby survives the week
Trey feeds it on time, talks to it, and even has a little bed for his furby
if the furby demands food in the middle of the night, he's getting up to feed it
it's starting to learn to talk too after he reads to it
but he starts to get a little tired after a few nights
so he's happy to hand the furby back to Crowley at the end of the week
Cater:
on magicam, the furby is thriving
in reality, it's being neglected
Cater takes all sorts of photos of him doing activities with his furby and taking care of it
he calls himself a great furby dad
but anytime the camera is not pointed towards the furby, it's left there sitting on it's own
if furbys could die of neglect, his would
but he's got to get those photos to look aesthetic ✨
it's all fun and games until he tries to get some photo's of the little guy playing in some water
...turns out furbys aren't supposed to get wet
Ace:
he tries at the beginning
in his mind, taking care of a furby should be easy peasy
he feeds it and everything
but the first night with the furby is, unfortunately, it's last
Ace had made it a decent bed on one of his shelves to sleep in
in the middle of the night, the shelf collapsed creating a loud noise that woke Ace up
the next thing he heard was his furby speaking gibberish
and the last thing the furby saw was a blast of magic headed straight for it
Deuce:
oh Deuce...
he tried his best to take care of the furby
but poor boy got the one furby that was actually creepy and potentially possessed
other Hearslabyul students have told him that they've heard it talking at night, but Deuce always sleeps through it
it doesn't help that half the furbys words came out garbled and in a very deep voice
still, Deuce is trying his best to take care of it and even learned to understand the garbled nonsense
Furby: GHIKASHUPAHiGNA
Deuce: okay I'll go get you some food
overall pretty good furby dad like the furby is pretty well taken care of
but he got to attached and didn't want to give it back to Crowley at the end of the week
Leona:
no way
there's no way he's going to take care of a furby
the first few times the furby asks for things, it simply gets ignored
but the more it talks and starts demanding things, the more he gets annoyed
he tries to hand it over to Ruggie, but Ruggie has his own furby to take care of
so he's stuck with the furby
he starts to get pretty good at blocking it out
but then the furby wakes him up during one of his naps
Leona has reached peak annoyance
that furby got its first and last flight lesson out Leona's window
Ruggie:
honestly he's not that interested in taking care of the furby
it's decently taken care of for a while
the furby gets fed and talked to regularly
the big problem arises when he visits Sam's shop
Sam just casually mentioned that they could be sold for a decent price
not expensive, but not totally cheap
either way money is money and Ruggie is all about money
his furby got sold immediately
Jack:
he wants to take care of his furby, he really does
but it freaks him out
he hates it's eyes and especially it's stare
Jack is so hesitant about even feeding it
anytime it speaks his ears perk up like he's startled
it was the middle of the night when he heard it
from the darkness of the room, it laughed
he just couldn't take it
at first he just tried to take the batteries out
but then it kept talking
and that furby got crushed to death
Azul:
it's a school assignment, so of course he's going to try his best
the furby gets well taken care of and even gets the VIP treatment
he has to admit, it kind of ruins his negotiations a little bit when the furby interrupts
"if you want that to come true, I can certainly make it happen. All you have to do is-"
"WEE-TAH-KAH-WEE-LOO"
but for some reason, this scared many of his victims customers into signing a contract
so he kept it around and actually started to make it work
he even taught it how to take orders
but then one day, the furby stopped working during one of their busy days
as much as Azul tried to change it's batteries and fix it, it just didn't work and the furby's eyes didn't open again
the furby had been worked to death
Jade:
another good furby dad...with a twist
Jade takes good care of his furby always making sure to feed it and give it attention
but he spends a lot of time teaching it things
the furby learns pretty quickly how to speak and some other things
in fact, it's probably the smartest furby of them all
so smart that it starts to take after Jade and pick up some if his traits and...hobbies
near the end of the week, the furby had disappeared
but Jade wasn't worried
because there was some rumors floating around about a growing furby mafia
Jade is such a proud dad
Floyd:
he has so much fun with his furby
it's such a fun and creepy guy
just like him :D
he brought the furby everywhere with him
so much so that the furby learned a word, and only one word
so when Floyd was annoyed with someone, the small furby voice beside him would chant
"Squeeze! Squeeze! Squeeze!"
the two practically became best friends who could never be separated
and I mean never
even when Floyd went for a swim in his mer-form, he held the little furby in his arms despite the furby having stopped moving
the poor furby had drowned in the arms of someone who loved it
Totals:
Furbys handed out - 11
Furbys returned - 1

Dorm leaders with a reader who sings like the Japanese singer, "Ado"
Tumblr media
🌹 Riddle Rosehearts
-Riddle knew you were full of surprises, but he never expected you to have such an amazing voice. Cater was the one that revealed your talent by showing him one of your music videos at one of the Unbirthday parties. Riddle questions as to why you don't reveal your face, but he realized that if that's what makes you comfortable, then its fine. The ADeuce combo joked with the both of you saying that you should sing for Riddle for his birthday. Riddle flushed and collared the both of them for messing with him, but he secretly wouldn't mind if you sang for him. His favorite song of yours is "New Genesis" , he loves how upbeat it is and he sometimes hums the song to himself when he is doing his schoolwork
youtube
🦁Leona Kingscholar
Leona doesn't really care for music and all that other nonsense, especially if it disturbs his sleeping. He had found out about your singing when he was heading to Ramshackle dorm to avoid Ruggie, and had caught you in your room, recording for one of your music videos. You didn't realize Leona was in the room until you heard clapping, and saw him standing there with a smirk on his face. "Not bad", he said as he came closer to you and patted your head. Leona started to get more involved with your music, to the point he would wake up from his nap once he got a notification about a new music video on his phone. His favorite song of yours is "Usseewa", he tends to relate to the song and also likes the rebellious theme in the music video.
youtube
🐙Azul Ashengrotto
Well, well, well. Not only are you an angelfish, you also have the voice of an angel. Azul had discovered your talent, when he came across you in the music room of NRC, playing and singing on the piano. Azul came closer to you and sat down next to you, not saying a word, just listening to your gorgeous voice. Azul, being a business man that he is, wanted to promote you into being a singer in Mostro Lounge. Of course, he would pay you accordingly and there would be no need for a contract. Once you told Azul that you mostly perform on Magitube (Twst version of Youtube XD), and don't show your face, he understood and wouldn't pressure you, but he really would loved if you worked for him, so he could hear your voice more often. You did offer to sing a song promoting Mostro Lounge or have some of your merchandise be sold at Mostro Lounge, so both of you could benefit, since you felt bad for rejecting Azul's promotion, and Azul agreed in a heartbeat. His favorite song of yours is "Readymade" , he loves how jazzy it is.
youtube
☀️Kalim Al-Asim
NO WAYYYYYYY!!!!! YOU CAN SING!!!!!!! WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE!!!! Kalim was over the moon when he found out that you can sing, that he wanted to throw a celebration for you at Scarabia. He kept asking you over and over if you could please sing at the party. You appreciated how happy Kalim was about your talent, but you were not use to singing in front of people. Jamil noticed saw how tense you were and explained to him everything. Kalim realized that he was pushing you to sing and felt uncomfortable. He just wanted everyone to hear your amazing voice that he didn't consider your feelings so he apologized and offered to give you a ride on his magic carpet. Kalim wasted not time to subscribe to you and listen to all your music videos. His favorite song of yours is "The World's Continuation" , he loves the animation in the video and how soothing your singing is.
youtube
🍎Vil Schoenheit
Vil considered you to be a regular potato like all the other students until he discovered your talent when the Joint Culture Festival took place. During the auditions for VDC, it was your turn to demonstrate your singing, you surprised both him and Rook with your incredible voice. Vil is not an easy man to impress as he has been in the acting/music industry for a long time, so the fact that you were able to leave him wide eyed and mouth gaped like fish, welp, you had managed to capture the attention of the most beautiful person in NRC. Vil was slowly starting to become one of your biggest supporters/fans, as he often watched over you like a mother hen, making sure you were okay and not straining your voice too much. He wasn't use to your habit of not showing your face in your music videos, as you should be able to show your beauty to the whole world, but he slowly got over it, yet he was still interested in doing a duet with you on your video channel. His favorite song of yours is " Gira Gira" , he loved the message in the song and how it focused on beauty, but flaws and imperfections as well.
youtube
🔥Idia Shroud
Haha, don't group Idia with the other normies. He was the first one to discover your talent before all the other dorm leaders. During one of his gaming streams, he noticed that a lot of people were commenting in the chat about a recent music video of yours and that he should check them out. Idia decided to indulge in his streamers comments and check out one of your music videos. Welp, I guess you can imagine that after that, Idia become a huge fan of you and subscribed to your channel immediately. He was always the first one to hop on your new music videos and leave so many sweet comments about how good the video was and your voice. Idia understood COMPLETELY about not showing your face at concerts and in your videos as he does the same thing, and uses a tablet to communicate half of the time. You really appreciated Idia's support and you had asked him if he would be interested in doing an animation for your next music video. Idia fainted once you told him that, but Ortho answered for him and said he would love too. He loves all of your songs, but his number one favorite is "Backlight" , he loves the animation and the fact that you sang songs for an anime has him fangirling like crazy.
youtube
🐲Malleus Draconia
"Oya~ You are certainly one unique Child of Man." Malleus loves listening to music, but he is more use to the classical genre of music then rock or pop. He is also artistic in performing since he is very skilled with string instruments. He happened to discover your talent during one of his strolls through Ramshackle, as he saw you sitting in the fields, singing to yourself. Once you discovered Malleus had appeared next to you, you apologized quickly as you wondered if you had disturbed him, but he shook his head and said you sang very beautifully and would love to listen to you sing a bit more please. Malleus wasn't use to technology, but he had Lilia help him with that, since Lilia had better knowledge in that field, so he could watch and listen to your music videos. He was amazed to see how versatile your vocal ability was as you could hit so many different ranges. You had helped him discover other genres of music that he had never tapped into before and he thanked you for letting him discover something new. His favorite song of yours is "Aitakute" , he loves the story in the music video and the romantic theme in it.

Sense and Sensibility (2024, Hallmark) a review
I had expectations for this movie. They were not surpassed. It didn't perform below them either.
Spoilers under the cut.
So, this is a short movie (1.24hr long) a tv movie, a hallmark movie. You must keep that in mind as a frame of reference for what I'm about to say. You cannot really compare this with theatrical movies on equal footing.
Where to start. Costumes and sets. It is Bridgerton's world and we live in it. Everything is VERY colorful and shiny and not very real looking; that was to be expected. I think that sort of semi-fantasy aspect didn't hurt at all, and it was consistent. If you are not going to stick to the time period, at least go ham and show me something really interesting. I'm looking at you, Netflix Persuasion. There are some dresses that are pretty, and some others that... aren't. Considering that apparently the costume designer had to make something like 60 pieces in a month, it's kind of impressive that it came out as it did.
One funny bit, though, in this respect, is that they complain about how small the cottage is like some actual estate houses aren't the same size IRL XD Allenham we only get to see from afar, and it is rather disappointing.
Music: nothing to write home about, to be expected. Yes, we got one of those Vitamin String Quartet modern-song-played-by-strings. IDK. They were a bit dorky in their heyday, I don't know why they are so sought after in these pieces lately. I digress.
The acting. Deborah Ayorinde was a really good Elinor. She definitely deserved better writing and direction. The rest of the cast was good enough; I feel some roles really benefited from their characters being a bit hammy already in the source material (Lucy, Mrs Jennings, Anne, Fanny, Robert), others were really struggling because of being given very poor dialogue (Mrs Dashwood), and others were just... not good (Willoughby and Brandon, sadly). Edward was... a very special case. I can only describe it as the actor having two expressions: one, an attempt at reaching Hugh Grant's adorkableness AND Dan Stevens' ease at the same time, and two [SCREAMING INTERNALLY], but I guess those two were indeed enough to make it work just fine!
Which leads me to the writing. We all knew this adaptation was going to live or die in the writing, and most likely die.
The thing is that most of it is written around repeating 95' and 08's greatest hits, while attempting to compress the narrative into an hour and a half. And that goes as well as you can expect it to. Some scenes are painfully rushed -Brandon's backstory was extremely awkward to get through- some things are over before you have any time to assess their real weight -Marianne's illness, and many others end up being... incongruous.
Let me stop a little on those. The movie keeps Margaret, and gives her the whole play acting as a pirate with Edward from 95', but then removes the only real plot relevant thing she does in the book. So why keep the character at all? (Willoughby asks for Marianne's handkerchief in exchange for Queen Maab, instead of cutting a lock of her hair).
Because 2008 makes Brandon suspicious of Willoughby from the get go, this one makes it so that they know each other and implies that Brandon knows dirt on Willoughby, but then plays the rest of the story straight, which makes it... pretty inconsistent.
Speaking of Brandon, we have reached adaptation #5 that cuts out the fact that he tried to elope with Eliza sr. This time the backstory is that his father promised to let him marry Eliza if he proved himself as a soldier, but when he came back, he found his father has kicked her out of the house. Yeah, that was utter nonsense.
The adaptation makes a clumsy attempt at including the dinner at Mrs Ferrars... but Brandon isn't there to see Marianne defend Elinor.
We needed to have a "Brandon rescues Marianne in the rain" scene, but in this case, she's not faint or anything, he just grabs her because she's sad XD
And the list goes on and on and on. It was to be expected that the shadow of both 95 and 08 would be large over this one, but it truly is to the point that the references and contrivances are almost constant. Which is a pity because I think most of the original choices were interesting.
For example, Marianne twists her ankle running after Margaret, to try and stop her from asking something embarrassing, which is a good choice in terms of showing that Marianne is passionate, but she has more sense than Margaret.
On his deathbed, Mr Dashwood makes Elinor promise that she will take care of her mom and sisters and keep the family together. That added pressure on Elinor works really well in the context of the adaptation, and ads a new layer of interest.
John Dashwood is written mostly as a hapless but not malicious idiot. This is similar to what From Prada to Nada did (though there it made more sense because of the father having two families simultaneously), but I'm not sure where was that going. They did cut the Palmers, so I suppose the choice was so that they could go to Norland instead on their way to Barton (it is never established that Norland is so far away as it is in the book, so I guess one could give it a pass), but in that case, I feel the most cost effective shortcut is... have them go to Barton? Because we do get to see Barton (Marianne goes alone with Brandon to see it close to the end, and they get engaged before Edward returns, don't think much about it, manners and such are... for this movie... loose guidelines. But it isn't super offensive most of the time).
Anne Steele is decent fun as she's supposed to be, but Lucy really suffers the flattening. The mastermind has been flanderized into just a mean girl, and that's a pity.
Oh, Edward is sassy at times! And the sassy jokes land! I have to say it is not my preferred way of doing the character, but he does show some sass at the end of the novel, so, you know, I'll allow it I suppose XD
Edward's return and proposal started pretty good, but it overstayed its welcome. I cannot emphasize enough that, when writing this kind of proposal, you must avoid the word love if you can, and if you must use it, use it once, and with great reluctance.
The movie chooses to dedicate quite a time to the reveal of Edward and Lucy's relationship, and it's honestly... decent? For a scene made out of whole cloth it stands on its own feet reasonably well. But there's no Fanny freakout. This is probably the most shocking plot twist in the adaptation. This very on-the-nose Hallmark adaptation decided to cut the Fanny freakout of all things. Impressive restraint.
One thing, however, that was sadly cut out was Elinor and Marianne's conversation about Willoughby at Barton. It is instead replaced by an unsubtle comparison between Willoughby and Edward, and an exchange between Brandon and Marianne. It is one of the several points where the storytelling relies on previous knowledge of the work.
These are my main, disordered thoughts. I leave you with this choice from the ending, that I cannot form a thought about:
At Elinor and Edward's wedding, on the first pew are in attendance, from center to side: Mrs Dashwood, Margaret, Marianne, colonel Brandon... and Eliza Williams with her baby in her arms.
As a summary, I'd say Elinor and Edward's story was good enough, the relationship between the sisters was sweet, there were some odd choices, some interesting choices, and overall the writing was severely downgraded by attempting so much to stick to the choices of previous famous adaptations.

25 asks :}} MERRY CHISTMAS! 🎄🎄🎄
Tumblr media
Jevil and Seams world still exists, its just so horrible that they don't ever want to go back to it..
Grillby and River persons AU were both destroyed/de-stabilized..?? Their worlds don't exist anymore.. they cant go back.
Goner Kid's AU still exists, but another version of her already exists in it. Its like a duplicate..? Of her was created when she fell into the void. When she tried to re-enter her AU, it was hurting the other Goner Kid. In order for her to go back, someone would have to kill that other Goner kid. But that Kid has a family, real memories, emotions.. she's a person too... no one had the heart to kill her. She cant go back..
Spamton's AU still exists, but he doesn't want to go back. There was nothing for him there. He had no friends, no family, he hated his life. And being in his own world for some reason causes his pain to be more extreme/less tolerable. So staying away from his AU brings him some relief..
Asgore's AU still exists, but he cant go back. Or else he will continue turning into dust and eventually fully die.. staying out of his AU is the only thing keeping him "alive"..
Tumblr media
@abaroo
I don't know if their boss status really played much of a role.. mostly their friendship started with Jevil helping Spamton, and then sparked into something more by them having a similar sense of humor. :00
As for the phone person? I haven't decided if my Spamton had that phone guy or not.. but if he did, I might make it so they're different people. Or maybe the same person but from different aus..?? 👀👀
Tumblr media
The group might not keep in touch consistently. But I can see them occasionally returning to this AU to seek shelter, knowing that they're safe here.
Like imagine they got in a wicked fight and some of their toughest members are all beat up. They retreat to this AU and hide out in the forest to rest. Some of the Queens guards find the group and bring them to her. She's surprised to hear that they've been living in the woods.
"Why did you not return to my castle?"
"We didn't want to intrude or overstay our welcome..."
"Nonsense! You are always welcome here."
Now as for Seams relationship with her? I imagine its complicated.. Of course he thinks she is wonderful and very gracious. Having freed him from his chains and continuing to welcome them into her castle..
But Seam can't help but be afraid of her. She is the same species as the Spade King. He cant help but be reminded of the king when he looks at her and feel uncomfortable or intimidated..
Seam is probably stressed and uncomfortable being in her castle, despite how kind the Queen is.. Everything just reminds him of the King and all the horrible things associated with him.. its just.. man, its complicated.

@mishishiwritings
Aw its ok! <XD Don't worry, it really is mostly a design choice now. But to go over the story again..
When I was designing my sona I wanted something to be on my hands. Gloves? Different skin color? I didn't really know.. Now at the time my fingers/knuckles were covered in band-aids due to dry skin and cat scratches.
So I thought hey! I can give my sona edgy bloody bandages! And I can call them my weathered artists hands! XD And so I added them.
Although my hands still aren't in the best shape today, I'm pretty hard on them- the bloodied hands don't have any darker or concerning origin. Just cat scratches and dry skin. I appreciate the concern though! 🥺💖💖💖
Also thank you! Happy holiday and a happy new year to you too! :}}

@taizarack
Yeah, my sona is kind'a all over the place <XD for funsies I made this little chart that might help explain the strange forms I take XDD
Tumblr media
Basically, the drippy-ness and blood is when I want to emphasize my exhaustion and/or emotions is some way..?
And the "stable" version is usually seen at the start of comics before I've consumed any energy. Or in posts with 1-2 drawings that don't take much time/energy to make. Also being a drama queen is fun. Does that make sense..? <:D

THNAK YOU SO MUCH!! :DDDD

I'm assuming you're talking about the ruin mask? If so, that would be very bizarre.. they wouldn't know what to make of it. How is this thing even possible?? <XDD

Wow, 2020? That feels like forever ago-
And well I just kind'a lost interest in tfp. <XD I never even finished the show due to lost interest- such is life :/

XD You're the first person to ever send me that I believe. Season's Greason's indeed :}

Tumblr media
I got an ask about this recently, :0 I'm sad to say that I'm actually unfamiliar with this game.. sorry! <XD
Tumblr media
Part of me thinks it would be very foreign to their (probably cruddy) Fazbear brand pizza. <XD Chica would love it though!
Tumblr media
This is a really good question! :0 I had to think about it for a sec XDD
For Freddy and Glamrock Foxy I imagined their vice would be the same, hoarding. They would try to latch onto things and objects that make them feel better. At first it would start with collecting certain posters of event that they had a good time at. Or if someone gave them a plush they would hide it from employees so that they could keep it. But then it would quickly spiral into something worse..
They would both start stealing from the other animatronics. Taking things that they see as valuable and worry the others might throw away. Or if they had a nice time at a kids birthday party they would try to collect souvenirs. Like the present wrapping and bows. Trash and plates with food still on them.
Freddy would collect all this trash and stuff and hoard it in his room. The food would get moldy and make his room a hazard. But Freddy would become very protective of his room and his collection. The employees would try to clean if but Freddy just wouldn't have it. They would have to clean out the worst of it little by little so Freddy wouldn't notice..
Foxy would be the same except once his room got too full, he would extend his collection to Pirates cove. Parents would complain about Pirates cove being dirty and about there being trash all over the floor. But just like Freddy, Foxy would be very protective of his collection and it would be a hassle to clean..
For Glamrock Bonnie however, his is harder to describe.. but I imagine he is completely opposed to change. Maybe OCD you could call it..?
I can see Bonnie being hurt by all the change in his life. When Freddy and Chica died that was a huge change. When the glamrock era began and they threw out everything familiar to him.. it hurt. It was a big change.
I can see Bonnie hating change. For 5 seconds, he wants everything to just, stay the same. This might manifest in Bonnie not allowing any employees in his room. Becuase he doesn't want them moving anything around. He wants to come back to his room after a stressful day and have his room be exactly the way he left it. This would mean Bonnie's room gets very dirty/dusty but he wont allow anyone to clean it.
Not sure how this could spiral to something that effects other people.. Maybe he doesn't like the new songs that they are told to sing. He just wants to sing the same familiar songs he already knows. This could cause problems for the other animatronics because Bonnie wont cooperate? Things like that. :0
Tumblr media
I suppose anyone who doesn't have a river person in their AU would be spooked yeah <XD Poor river person :(
Tumblr media
XDD Yeah "Mommy look! A Kangaroo!"

Yes, Seam is absolutely devastated with guilt. Not a day goes by where he doesn't feel horrible for what he did to Jevil.. And despite your point, Jevil holds nothing against him. Not anymore, and here's why.
Jevil was there when the king threatened Seam. When the king commanded him to lock Jevil away. It was very clear from the situation that the King would hurt or even kill Seam if he did not obey. Seam was torn, tears streaming down his face. He was shaking.. He had no choice. It was lock Jevil up, or face the Kings wrath. He had to.. if he didn't, both of them would probably have been slaughtered..
He doesn't resent Seam for locking him up. He knows he had to. But after years of being down there.. Jevil did develop a bit of resentment over Seam never visiting him. He always expected Seam to sneak down to the dungeon to see him.. but he never did.. that he resented a bit.
But as soon as he escaped, and found out why Seam never visited.. that resentment all vanished.
Seam tried to visit Jevil. But he was caught. And what was his punishment? His eye was gouged out, his mouth stitched shut, and heavy shackles clasped around his neck and wrists. He was told of he ever tried to visit Jevil again. The king would kill them both.
How could Jevil hold any resentment after that? There was nothing else Seam could have done..
Tumblr media
I think it was the opposite. Jevil saw the danger of the situation. It was clear that if Seam didn't lock Jevil up, the King would likely kill them both.
Seam was extremely hesitant. He was crying, he didn't want to lock him up..
Instead of begging the king for mercy, knowing the king would not listen. Jevil probably just tried to comfort Seam..
"Seam.. i-its ok... j-just.. just do it... just do what he says.."
Tumblr media
I don't think I ever gave them claws.. I suppose if the situation calls for it they'll magically have them XD Not sure about scratching post though, they'd more likely just want to use a nail file :0
Tumblr media
I sat on this ask and thought about it for a while.. and every time I think about it I picture the same scenario..
Asgore comforting a neutral route Undyne..

WOAH HANG ON!- I cant make THAT many arms! XDD
Also thank you! Good night/day to you as well! :}}}

YOU HAD A SKYRIM AU?? As much as I love Fae!Eddie I love Skyrim too 😭 If your okay with it, could your share some hcs? Or art?? Love your work!
Ah, me too! :D Some games never get old ❤️
I had two posts about the AU, here and here. So not a lot of content.
I never really developed it much, sadly, I get easily distracted xD But I remember exploring Herma-Mora's labyrinth made out of books, and going 'OH GOD, EDWARD??". Because he would SO do that.
Later on, I kinda re-made that idea into fae!Edward's labyrinthine Library of Babylon, holding every book imaginable - including nonsense books. So it's figuratively and literally a maze. All thanks to Herma-Mora's confusing level that made me rage-quit at least three times bc I got turned around :D
The HCs I never published, was that Bruce - the hero of the story, a mortal who falls in love with a Daedric prince - takes the spot of Talos, as he becomes divine himself, the Hero God of Humanity because Batman is an immortal idea. Also, mortal/god romantic relations have this itsy bitsy issue, that the mortal dies at some point, leaving the god alone, and I'm a mushy piece of soggy biscuit and like happy endings. Also, before the ascension, the romance wasn't really a True Romance, I guess, since Daedric!Riddler wasn't capable of seeing Bruce as his equal, even when he bested him. It was always a game with an especially smart pet, and it could only become something real when their roles became equal.
Anyway, Daedric Riddler had a huge thing for puzzles, mazes and riddlers - of course - and ancient tomes that hold forbidden knowledge. The most courageous - foolish? ambitious? - of mortals would seek out the books, and his mazes, in hopes that he would bestow knowledge on them, and he sometimes did, if they proved themselves by solving his puzzles or riddles. If they failed, they would end up lost in his plane - The Maze - forever, slowly (or quickly...) going insane.
He didn't really have such a strong element of "deals with lope holes" and pacts, the way your God!Edward does, or mine fae!Riddler does, and he could - and often did! - lie. He did have Mora's obsession with Knowing Everything tho, since that was the main inspo. He also did toy with mortals a lot, and was capable of getting attached to the more clever ones the way one would get attached to a pet (well.. maybe a bit less so, bc people often see their pets as family. Maybe more like, specific ants from an ant colony you keep in your bedroom?).
I was going to put more Batman villains in the Daedric roles, and more DC heroes in there too, but I kinda stopped at Joker as Sheogorath and Catwoman as Nocturnal, tho now I think Scarecrow would fit there perfectly as Mepeoth. His plain in oblivion could be still called The Fields of Fear, but it's literally like a corn field :D Hehe.. it's a pun now! :D A scary pun.
Thank you so much for the ask and the kind words, I love yours too :D ❤️❤️❤️I so enjoyed reading about God!Edward bc well those types of ideas fit him so well and are so fun imo :D

I had a dream months ago (don't ask me about time idk how that works, sometime in the last two years) about the 2012 turtles that didn't make sense and wasn't really in character but I still think about it because, it's only juuust believable enough to make it interesting to think about what possible situation could lead to it being in character.
they were trying to set up some kind of banquet? I think someone important was visiting. My brain apparently didn't feel like coming up with food items because it just made everything different containers of apple jello, which the turtles treated like different dishes
Anyway they kept arguing over random things, where to place food, what side the fork goes on, who was supposed to vacuum etc.
And at one point Leo and Raph got into it, not even that intense just having a disagreement over the seating or something. They were both being aggressive for no real reason but it was just verbal.
So. Leo raised his voice a bit, and Donnie, who was alllll the way across the room, vaulted himself immediately directly between them, in ready fighting stance facing Leo, and said with much more anger than either Raph or Leo had had about whatever silly detail they were arguing about
"You do not yell at Raph or you deal with me"
And that confused me so much I woke up immediately XD
But I'm still turning it over in my head because... what could have happened to Raph recently that Donnie's that protective?
Like it was clearly just a random nonsense amalgamation of details strung together by my subconscious mind (apple jello), but I'm still rotating it in my head trying to analyze it as if it were a canon scene in need of a fix-it fic. Donnie doesn't usually have that kind of anger in his eyes, why was that directed at Leo? And why was Raph meekly standing back letting Donnie protect him as if he doesn't argue with Leo every day? Who hurt them.
Like I know I made it up and barely that but like. I need to know

Hello <3 Listen I've started playing re8 and i've had my first encounter with the Dimitrescu family and I am here wondering why the hell didn't I play this sooner so I could obsess over this even sooner, but oh well. So I know you're cooking up a story where they meet the Denalis and I was like walking through the castle and my mind started asking questions. So ofc I imagine you don't wanna give away details of your story because then you wouldn't be able to tease us with lil spoilers and where's the fun in that, right? ;P So instead lemme write down what came to my mind and ask your opinion on that, let's dive into my delulu-land vision XD Tbh is nothing like super elaborated bc you know just rnadom throughts that came to mind so bear with me bc it probably makes 0 sense ok? SO it made me think like in a more kind of "modern" set up, where the Denalis are already vegetarians, they've lived a veeery long life, yk kind of like things are in the Twilight movies/books. In my mind it was like for X reason they were moving from Denali to another place to live, be because the Volturi, bc they had been exposed and therefore they need to gtfo before shit hits the fan (I blame the drones if that's the reason tho) IDK it could be literally any reason, it is unimportant. They somehow end up finding the castle, they meet this vampires who are like super different from them (In my mind I think is cool they can eat human food and sleep and shit eve n though perhaps they don't need it so I'd probs keep that for all vamps in any possible story but that's out of the question XD) and they ofc live very differently from them, the castle ofc doesn't mantain itself, so they have ppl working there for them and they probs dispose of them as soon as they stop being useful, they drink human blood, they make a game out of their hunts and seem to enjoy the pain they inflict before actually drinking the blood. Meanwhile the Denalis started drinking animal blood to stop killing the humans they slept with (With other reasons in the mix too but in the end it was to rpeserve human life) and they've lived away from humans, living in secret and all that shit, like is two complete different worlds they live in. Now all that to make this questions: Say Lady D offered them a place to stay in the castle for reasons unknown bc I hadn't actually thought about it tbh, I don't think she'd mind if they kept their boring vegetarian lifestyle, but they have a choice now to keep it or instead go back to human blood, which honestly seems more tasty and the better option, do you think they'd take it? Would they agree and stay in the castle? Would they leave? Idk f there would be any consequences if they decide to leave though, and in case of staying what about the coven itself? I mean Tanya's the leader, but it matters little I think her title in the castle bc I am not sure if Lady D gives a duck about it honestly, it's her castle after all(?) And final question I promise: How do you think they would adapt to this "new life" in the case they accept Lady D's offer of staying? You think someone might have more of a hard time with it? Will they talk/argue about it among themselves? Consider their options? I have a feeling that Tanya would not take any offer without speaking first to her coven, they are family after all and whatever they do will affect all of them, so yeah. Also this probably makes no sense as I stated before, it was a bunch of random thoughts that I poorly put together so yk don't feel like you gotta answer to all that nonsense XD And I still have not finished the game, just barely started it so idk, perhaps I'm missing some important lore, or something is inadequate, anyway thanks for reading my delulu-bible and for recommending me to go play the game <3 <3 Have a nice day :D
...Oh?
We´re simping for both camps now?
Tumblr media
I love how, after having only just reached their section (apparently), this is the result. As in: The Dimis got their sickles hooked in you alright, LMAO.
Can´t say I´m surprised. *cough cough*
Like-
(Simping starts in 3...2...1...)
This was ALL of us when the game was only just coming out and Lady D was revealed in the Maiden Demo. It was madness, lemme tell you. The memes, the art, the fics my god-
The fics were smt else. And they just kept coming. They still do. Lady D destroyed the internet like no other video game character before. People kept dying in game just so they could stick around Castle Dimitrescu for a bit longer (preferably forever).
Like, this was the majority of ppl playing the game:
Lady D: *begins stalking you*
Ethan (you): *heart-eyes*
Lady D: *stalks closer*
Ethan (you): *heart-eyes*
Lady D: *unsheathes her claws*
Ethan (you): *dreamy smile*
Lady D: *takes one giant swipe at you that nearly beheads you*
Ethan (you), barely alive: "...F-Fancy stepping on me too?"
.
It was truly a time to be alive.
(You should check out some reactions to Lady D on Youtube, especially Markiplier. 💀)
I mean, LISTEN-
I dunno what Capcom was trying to accomplish with The Dimitrescus (they knew exactly what they were doing), but being stalked and hunted down by feral goth ladies and their equally as feral Momma because they thirst for your blood (and hopefully mayhaps other things) is pretty much a dream come true for most ppl. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Capcom, were you even trying? Honestly.
.
Okay anyhow-
I love your thoughts on this. Especially because it´s a lot more serious than what I originally came up with, lmao. Like, this thing I got cooking rn is pretty much a total crack fic (for now). Yknow, stuff like portals and time travel and whatnot seems entirely possible there, but I haven´t reached that part yet (the explaining part), so it´s still rather unclear how they got to the castle.
Like, it never occured to me that the Denalis might just find the "real" village in Romania (which is where the game is set). But now that I´m reading your thoughts on it, this seems pretty plausible to me. Defo something I can see happening. With that said:
Lemme start by giving some canon info (which hopefully won´t spoil anything for you):
the Dimis aren´t actual vampires
they are what they are because of a parasite aka The Cadou
they need to sustain themselves on human flesh and blood because of it (for survival & to maintain their powers)
Lady D will grow to the point she mutates out of control if she doesn´t (I´ve read that somewhere)
the Daughters are made entirely of flies
those flies will die if exposed to the cold (yet another thing that´s entirely different from Twilight vampires, who can only be fully destroyed through fire)
Lady D has no such "weakness"
the pain they inflict upon their victims is not necessary for feeding
they just enjoy being cruel
they turn their staff into wine at some point
or use them for experiments ("Moroaicǎ")
With all of that said: I totally agree that it´s a clash of two entirely different worlds. But that´s what makes it so interesting.
I also kinda HC that The Dimis see vampires as some kind of role models? In a way? Like, they clearly enjoy this lifestyle (a bit too much), so I feel like meeting some actual vampires - the real deal - would be like meeting a popstar or smt. At least to the daughters. (Dani would swoon.)
Lady D would be a lot more skeptical about it ofc, but there´s no way she would be able to hide her curiosity. I mean, how many beings pose an actual threat to them? Not that many. Which means Lady D would be quite hostile at first. She got her daughters to think of as well, after all. There would be the usual threats of "slice you to ribbons" and such, until she realizes-
There are no ribbons. And there won´t be. Because her claws are actually kinda useless against them.
As are the flies the daughters are made of. There´s no piercing that skin.
That´s never happened before.
That´s when it dawns on them that whatever they´re up against isn´t entirely human. The fact they (the Denalis) lack a heartbeat or the usual warmth is kinda telling as well.
In fact, the Daughters don´t enjoy being near them at all. They´re so cold!
Tumblr media
But, you see-
The Daughters might keep their distance (for now).
But Lady D is more than intrigued at this point.
Listen, that woman is a sucker for power. That´s why she´s got the hots for Mother Miranda (MM), after all.
Well that, and because MM is fine af, obv.
Tumblr media
(I don´t blame you, Alci.)
Anyway-
If she saw the Denalis wielding their vampiric powers and, yknow, posing an actual challenge for her in terms of brute strength because it´s not every day she meets someone who´s actually able to lift her- (can you imagine?)
Ofc she´s gonna want to get to the bottom of it all. Because she´s also a bit of a nerd, you see. Just like Momma. (They both fine af.) She´s gonna want to study them, write down every little detail in that notebook of hers.
Kate´s power is gonna fill page upon page as Lady D goes completely mad scribbling it all down like-
Tumblr media
With that said:
Yes, I defo think Lady D would demand invite them to stay. She´s nothing if not a gracious hostess to those she deems worthy.
.
As for the Denalis-
Tanya would never make decisions without discussing it with her coven first. Not those that could be life-altering, at least. They'd only stay if everyone agreed to it. And, even then, I'm not sure it would be a permanent stay. I mean-
It's difficult.
I'd say it depends "which" Denalis we're talking. If we take the more deranged ones from my story (The Sisters) then I can defo see them agreeing to a permanent stay in the castle. Human life means next to nothing to them, aside from being their food source ofc. And while they might not agree with everything that's happening in the castle (some of the things going down in the cellar are...tough, even for them), they'd never judge the Dimis for their lifestyle, seeing how they're far from being saints themselves. One as corrupted as the other, I´d say.
If we take the veggie/modern Denalis, on the other hand-
I mean, the sisters killed ppl before. Loads of them probs. Therefore, the Dimis sustaining themselves on human blood and flesh isn't as appalling to them as it would be to your usual human. But it's how they do it (torturing their victims and basically getting the most out of it before they deliver the final blow) that makes them feel...conflicted. Most of their kind (as in: actual vampires) usually don´t draw it out longer than necessary. Mainly because they´ll succumb to their bloodlust almost immediately, sucking their victim dry in a matter of seconds. That (thankfully) doesn´t leave much room for any kind of torture.
With that said-
It´s still difficult, lmao.
I feel like our modern Denalis would defo be intrigued by the Dimitrescus. Then they´d be appalled. Then Lady D comes in with all that charm of hers, laying it on real thick yknow, basically downplaying the things that are happening in that castle full of blood and death. Then the daughters come in with their buzzing personalities. Then the Denalis would be intrigued again. And so on-
And before you know it, years have passed.
That´s the only way I can see our modern Denalis stay in that castle over an extended time period. Cause time works just differently for vampires, yknow. Years are like seconds to them. All one and the same. Doesn´t really matter. Not when you got eternity anyway.
.
Now, that was pretty much me rambling and fangirling without any kind of order, lol. So lemme try and give some more direct answers:
Would the Denalis switch to human blood during that time?
I think that´s entirely possible. That castle is pretty much filled with human blood - it´s everywhere: In the cellar, in the kitchen, in the storage rooms, in the wine glasses, etc. It lurks around every corner, constantly putting our sisters to the test. It´s like waving a piece (more like a bar) of chocolate in front of someone who´s been living on dry toast. Resisting becomes almost impossible under such conditions.
And the Dimis know that.
Am I suggesting that Lady D and her unruly daughters might try and seduce the Denalis back to human blood by deliberately leaving it out in the open, ripe for the taking?
Why yes, yes I am. That´s totally something the Dimis would do in order to gain numbers (and other things).
Would there be any consequences if the Denalis decided to leave?
As I said before, the Denalis pose an actual threat/challenge to Lady D. Neither her nor her daughters could do much to stop them from leaving, if they decided to do so. Doesn´t mean they wouldn´t try though. Lady D is a narcissist and rejection isn´t something she handles well. Her daughters share that sentiment.
"So you don´t love me?!"
Yup. That´s totally smt Dani would say in that situation. The poor baby.
Anyhow-
The Dimis would probs try to stop them because rolling over just isn´t in their nature. But I´d like to think one of the following things would happen then:
A) The Denalis use their vampiric charm to convince the Dimis to let them go without a fight.
B) Lady D puts a stop to things herself once she realizes the only ones to get hurt during this would be her daughters and herself. (She´d never admit that openly ofc.)
To sum it up:
Even if there were consequences, it´s highly unlikely the Denalis would be affected by them.
Would the Denalis adapt well to their new life? Would they struggle at all?
I think my fangirling pretty much answered that, lmao.
Unhinged Denalis: No problem with adapting. (More like they cba as long as they get their fill.)
Normal (modern) Denalis: Depends on the Dimis´ efforts I´d say. There´d defo be times of struggle and self-doubt. But then there´d also be times of "yknow what, why tf not". It´s a constant back and forth and it really depends on how well the Dimitrescus play their cards.
As for who might struggle the most:
Lemme start by saying Kate would struggle the least. I mean, the struggle would still be there, but she´s never been one to back down from a challenge. She´s also not one to shy away from the unknown - on the contrary: Out of the three of them, Kate is probs the one most likely to go "only one way to find out", YKNOW?? No risk, no fun, and all that. That´s why Cass and her get along so well. Whenever the two of them are together, the whole castle holds its breath.
Tanya would probs feel quite torn because, above all else, she has a duty to fulfill: ensuring the best possible outcome for her coven. So there´d be this constant nagging, telling her that all of this is kinda wrong and that, just mayhaps, it´d be better to haul ass. But then there´s time where she´s actually enjoying herself when she´s having "wine" with Bela, giving each other some advice on how to best handle their younger sibllings and such. That nagging fades for a while then. Until it´s back. But so is Bela. And that nagging fades again. And so on.
Irina would spend most of her time with Dani probs, gushing about finding true love and such. She sees a lot of herself in the youngest Dimitrescu daughter, albeit a lot more...unhinged, lol. They get each other, as crazy as it sounds. It also really helps taking her mind off things, makes her forget what´s going on in that castle. For a while, at least. Until the doubts start creeping back in. Dani notices though, she always does. And she´s always there to manipulate cheer her bestest friend up.
.
.
.
I hope I´ve managed to cover everything. Tbh, that was just me rambling most of the time, hoping it all would make sense along the way, lmao.
...Come to think of it, that´s pretty much my writing style. 💀
Thanks a lot for your ask! I really, really enjoyed that mashup. 🥰💋
Have a great day as well! ❤️

Ah character love-hate i see
Can you elaborate on that aspect?
(without too much spoiler ofc)
Nonsensical melatonin rant lets GOOOOOOOO
so, at least from how ive attempted to write it from lambs side of this whole relationship but i am no writer and my concept of things is sparse at best XD (of course excluding stuff that'll happen later dw) is she sees Nari as a kindness, her people, her family, her everything was taken by the monsters everyone in the inlands (lands of the old faith) call gods. so seeing someone who seems to understand her plight and offer her to take retribution made her feel like someone in this world actually cares about her and everything she's been forced to go through surviving all these years.
so of course she's throw herself into devoting herself to him. He's given her life, strength, advice. Many times she'd let herself die just to speak to him, to have him hold her in his boney claws and whisper praises of how well she's been doing.
and of course this line of thinking lead to her falling in love with him. NOW HERE"S THE THING- She is PERFECTLY fine with dying for him, she would have gladly accepted sacrificing her life for him IF he didn't promise her that she would get to be by his side forever.
if he had told her no, or asked her to pick anything else then she wouldn't have defied him, but the fact he promised her, and also pinky promised her (which is a very important thing for her, she is VERY serious about promises.) makes the fact he asked her to die for him feel like a betrayl
if he's willing to lie like that over that one thing, what else could he have lied to her about? maybe he never cared about her progress, or all the work she's done in his name, the prayers she says and the sermons she gave. and if he doesn't care about everything she has done as his most loyal devotee, then she shouldn't have to give back what he had given her, because he's no better then the monsters he had her kill.
but she cant really bring herself to kill him either. She still loves him, he's done so much for her and its wrong if she takes his life as willingly as he was ready to take her's.
Its easy to die, its hard to live.
so now they are currently in this weird stasis of she cares and wants to rebuild that trust she had in him, but thanks to a certain little fucker (coughcrowncough) its hard to really keep that trust without second guessing herself and assuming that he's only doing anything nice for her as a means to gain his power back.

John and 6 :)
Thank you!! Hope you enjoy my rambles and vague sense of a story lol <3 I decided to give John a go on the 2050s version of the "vomit comet". Note that I have not been to space, have limited experiences with extended freefall, and I'm banking on everyone else being in a similar position so that any nonsense I spew is easily overlooked lol
That being said, have an article because of course I did SOME research xD When they refer to "anorexia" in the symptoms, I'm like 90% sure they're meaning a general loss of appetite NOT anorexia nervosa.... that threw me for a loop at first.
Gentle Prompts - 6. "I've got you."
His chest heaved, the shot of adrenaline marking the start of his racing heart. He could faintly recall the feeling, running laps bent over and gasping with a stitch in his side, or maybe in a school gym running through the same calisthenics day in and day out with gritted teeth as he silently hated the man shouting at them all to reach a standard beyond their experience. There was some sort of specific technique to breathe, something he'd been taught to employ, but that all meant very little now that the air had rushed from his lungs.
There was oxygen of course, otherwise John knew he'd have passed out already, and since he remained endlessly, stubbornly conscious, there must be plenty of it.
It was a good start.
"Still with us, Johnny?" called Jeff.
He nodded, eyes firmly shut as the whooshing in his stomach settled into normal gravity, surrounded once more by the sensation of synthetic fabric on skin.
"You sure?" asked Scott. John didn't need to open his eyes to know his brother was grinning.
He gestured rudely in response, trying to focus on stopping the world from spinning. No longer was he being jostled about, bouncing off the force of the chair, the wall, the seatbelt.
"Gonna need a verbal confirmation before we make another run of it, John," said Jeff. John opened his eyes to meet his father's in the mirror.
"I'm fine," he said. "'S just disorientating."
Jeff nodded. "First taste of zero g always is."
That wasn't what I meant, John wanted to say, the heaviness in his limbs pulling him down and away from where he wanted to be, his inner balance thrown off kilter forever by experiencing something of which he'd always dreamed. "Can we go again?"
"Looping around and climbing," confirmed Scott. "Dad, I can go solo if you want to jump in the back."
"I'm sure you can," said Jeff mildly. "But you'll go solo on my instruction, not yours."
Scott flushed, his jaw jumping as he shut his mouth.
"Yes, sir."
John paid them no attention as he slipped out of his seatbelt, centring himself as they reached the crest of the manoeuvre. A swooping in his stomach, followed by his feet gently lifting off the floor, confirmed the freefall and he whooped, pushing back down as his hands found the roof.
"Return to standard in 5... 4... 3..."
John scrambled to grab hold of something as his father's countdown filled the aircraft, and the floor came rushing up to meet him.
"Ow," he said succinctly, a tangle of arms and legs.
Jeff hardly glanced back.
"You only have about twenty seconds."
"I know," grumbled John. "It just caught me off guard."
"We're coming around again, get ready."
It was his own personal high, John decided, that little thrill of adrenaline as he watched the floor fall away from him again and again. A bubble of laughter escaped him, limbs flailing as they instinctively tried to swim despite his training.
Nothing could have trained him for this.
His stomach twisted mid air and John fell forward, heedless of his father's countdown.
He crashed into the floor, curled tightly in on himself as the disparity between his senses finally caught up with his body.
"John!"
He hardly heard the instructions his father barked at his brother, the heaving sensation overpowering as he shuddered.
Strong, familiar arms gathered him from the floor, old murmuring comfort filling his ears.
"I thought I'd be the one in three," he whispered, feeling small and foolish. "I belong up there."
"The other two thirds don't belong up there any less," said Jeff quietly. "You did well for your first time. We were pushing it so Scott could practice just as much as you."
"Cruising at thirty-six thousand," said Scott. "You alright, back there, John?"
He tapped Jeff's hand twice for yes, not yet trusting himself to speak. He'd had motion sickness before, reading in the back of the car as a child, and he'd thought he'd be prepared. The nausea was all-encompassing, the dizziness making the world dip in and out of focus as he blinked back the pain from blood pounding behind his eyes.
Jeff chuckled.
"You look as miserable as I was on my first flight. Don't worry, Johnny, I've got you. We're going home."
[prompts from here - feel free to send one through!]

I love when the mc is just a regular person lol. Like they're just out doing groceries and the strongest hero in their city fighting some bad guy shows up, madness ensues, bad guy grabs them and suddenly the hero falls in love at first sight. Then after mc gets rescued all the villains are now after them because hero has a weakness now and it's them, while mc is just please don't destroy my apartment again. It's funny to me when a normal person that just wants to live their life gets dragged into nonsense they can't escape lol
Tumblr media
I wasn't sure if by new IF, the anon meant TSR or the janitor (cuz I doubt I'll be writing the janitor one given how I'm already writing Silverking, TSR and also did a liiiiittle writing for the dragon-parent one [One Small Scale]) but I'mma entertain this idea a little bit with my brain going overdrive ( •_•)>⌐■-■ | (⌐■_■)
SO
Imagine a tired asf MC, working for a janitorial company that cleans up the battles between the hero and villains (especially the #1 Hero and their team + one of the most nefarious villain and their crew). MC, unknowingly, helped the villain when they're in civilian mode by assisting them to get rid of a stain on their coat (I can picture the MC has a cleaning compulsion that they try to reign in to avoid annoying people into confrontation) and the villain is a little touched at MC helping them out.
Then one day, MC was cleaning the latest battle site between a different hero and bad guy when the same bad guy, who escaped from the attempted arrest, grabbed MC and held them at knifepoint or something similar. This, of course, does not sit well with the villain and he ends up leaving an injury on the bad guy and pulling MC to them...in their villain form. Then the hero comes to the site and not only do they end up intrigued by seeing MC being exasperated despite being in a life-or-death situation, but they're also shocked the villain saved MC from a bad guy. Nevertheless, as a hero, they have to save the hostage and stop the villain!
Just when the two were about to fight, MC, annoyed at how they just cleaned up the mess in the area, ends up blurting out "Can both of you fight on a different day? I have clean up to still do."
This leaves the villain and hero stumped, staring at MC and wondering why is a civilian not panicking or trying to get out of range. Annoyed at it all, MC just goes "Look, I get you two to have a grudge, vendetta or some mysterious back-to-back feud with each other, but gods above, take a damn break once in a while!"
"You...do realize you're in a life-or-death situation, right?"
"And? I'm going to be in a dead situation if I don't do my job and clean up the messes you two, and so many others, left behind. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to scrub off the slime and charred bits splattered on that wall over there."
Thankfully, the hero and villain didn't start a fight, just staring blankly at MC. Then MC probably got reamed out for stopping the villain and hero from fighting and preventing the company from getting another potential cleaning job for the number #1 hero and MC just comes home, exhausted from it all...when a knock comes to the door.
MC opens it up and finds the hero's civilian form/actual appearance and the hero, enamoured by MC's traits (bravery against dangers? Hard work? Casualness with all these hero/villain stuff?) and immediately ask MC if they would be interested in hanging out...then villain's civilian form came to MC's apartment and 'conveniently' found out MC lives here...which MC just ends up realizing who they really are and now MC has both the villain and hero be completely oblivious of each other while at the same time yeeting oil into MC's life to set it on fire.
And all MC is thinking "No shoes in the house!"
Ah, the hilarity of it all XD

you as the WolfBoyGuy and me as someone who has just recently seen the puppy light, do you have any tips or what you'd consider Required Reading to get a good grip on writing wolf boys? moreso karu than garu just because i personally have a hard time writing dudes with as much bluster and "doesn't tend to default to conventionally agreed on niceties". i have (admittedly mild) torments I'd like to put him through >_>
Anon is asking me about blorbo... I have been training for this for so long... behold now the ramblings of a man possessed by two wolves. I'll talk a bit about how I approach writing Karu and then include some curated recs.
It took me some time to really get going on wolfboy fics; I also found it challenging to handle Karu's characterization. Two big reasons why:
Tsunderes are just difficult to do if you're grounded in realism. It's a very 'anime' archetype and people don't behave quite like that. This makes it harder to naturally reach for reasonable/appropriate responses when putting the character in situations. The big want/think/say/do splits can also complicate straightforward scenarios (e.g. the character wants something and does what he needs to do in order to get it. This path is often closed to the tsundere).
The game gives little insight into Karu's inner world. NU: Carnival is very dialogue-heavy in its narrative. When we do get introspection, it's often Eiden-focused. This means we basically never get to see the thought process that leads Karu to act this way or that, except in the rare instances in which he talks to himself (like in some H scenes when he goes "ugh it feels so good but-").
The style that I ended up developing for my angry wolf boy writings follows these principles:
Keep him silly. This is because I fundamentally see Karu as a comical character. Yeah, his personality can be traced back to traumas and there's a lot of interesting stuff to explore in that regard, but I am not personally interested in that tbh. The reason I love him is the wacky nonsense and ridiculous behavior that we see in the game. It was at first sight for me. I didn't need depth and I still don't XD Any advice and references I provide are skewed by that. I have a preference for almost never taking him seriously.
Mind his 'narrativization' tendencies. Karu is comically very enamored by the idea/narrative that he's a mighty warrior with many great skills who will conquer humanity and who should be respected and served. On some level, he knows this isn't entirely true, so he will sometimes (try to) avoid situations that would bring attention to his shortcomings. But most often he's trying to prove himself and get others to share his narrative. When something or someone reinforces the narrative, he gets proud, pleased or happy-flustered. When something or someone goes against the narrative, he gets annoyed and angry-flustered. He is very good at ignoring reality, however. Even though he'll seemingly take exception to every little slight, he moves on very quickly and pretends nothing happened. And though he's stubborn, he's also willing to surrender, cut his losses and 'try another day' when he's foiled.
Mix his narrativization with the narration a lot. This kind of free indirect discourse is just my style in general, but with Karu I find myself using it more intensely, to such an extent that the narration can get quite dialogue-like in how it expresses his thoughts. When I want to portray a 'tsundere stumble' moment, I sometimes make the narration interrupt itself as Karu consciously aborts a line of thinking that would lead him to unacceptable conclusions.
Let him just be rude for no reason and with little consequence. Karu's default way of addressing and dealing with people (other than Kuya) is rudeness. At best, he attempts some form of condescension in which the reason he's doing something 'nice' is because you're so weak and he's so awesome or whatever. Most characters seem to simply not mind his behavior and, again, it's usually played for laughs anyway.
Bibliography of Karu Studies
Keep in mind that many Karu fics are kuyaru, and Karu in kuyaru is quite different from the core of the character, since he's uniquely eager to please Kuya. Still, even kuyarus can have some nice insight.
who let the dogs out has a lot of juicy Karu inner conflict, and it even explores the ways in which such hangups make him outwardly grumpier. Due to kuyaru, it ultimately leads him to a place of submission, but his initial thoughts are very in-character.
Baser Instincts is a kuyaru in which Kuya gets to see the pups in a new light, because they help him in a difficult situation. It's another great source of inspiration for Karu struggling to express his feelings.
Bow Down! explores how he might react to Eiden letting him top, in a very true-to-character way.
Lonely at the Top is Karu/Dante, which means you get to see Karu at his prickliest and most insufferable, and how that can be managed.
A Matter of Pride is a good example of the 'concessions' dynamic that can be done in Eiden/Karu.
Goshujin-Ai is an older Karu/Yakumo and a good example of Karu feeling comfortable and doing the 'attempts at condescension' thing I mentioned before.
Slave number one, rub my chest again is me speculating on what it might look like for Karu to ask Eiden to do things to him and try to control sex.
Warden slander wolf Commander is probably a good example of the 'fine I give up but I'll get you next time' potential of Karu, as well as the kind of bleed-heavy narration I talked about.
Master, do you have another wolf besides me?! delves into Karu's potential for jealousy as a way of expressing affection. It's pretty canon-compliant because most of it is adapted from NEON Carnival.
There are many other fics in the Karufic Archive, but I think the ones above are among the best for the purposes of thinking about the writing.
Please feel free to talk to me non-anonymously if you ever want to discuss wolf boy content! As you can see I am cursed with thoughts and need places to put them. I'm also always very happy to do anything that I can to shepherd and sponsor GaruKaru content; if you go ahead with your impulse to write about them (please do) and want a beta reader, don't hesitate to ask~

4x03 Review
After the lightness of last week's episode, "Lessons From The Gift Shop" definitely didn't pull any punches. I hardly even know what to talk about first so I'm just going to go in the order of which plots are sticking in my mind the most.
First up, our first major Cordri conflict of the season!
We start off with Cordell talking to Liam and Trey about possible next steps with Geri. The last time he took the "I love you" step was with Emily and things are very different now than they were in high school. He doesn't know how to express that and he gets more advice than he really asked for, but agrees with the idea of giving Geri a drawer at his house.
Side note: I adored Liam and Trey saying "I love you" to each other but I was also on Cordell's side here. It's never that simple!
Later, he shows Geri the drawer he emptied in his dresser and, after some initial awkwardness, she graciously accepts it and even offers to clean up the things he was previously keeping in the drawer. He decides to trust her judgement and leaves her to it- a decision he questions later when he returns to find out she donated a shirt that Emily got him during a spring break trip.
While Cordell is, understandably, upset about this, Abby gives her special brand of two cents. It's not wrong for him to be sentimental about the shirt and what it meant between him and Emily but it being gone doesn't change the memories. Geri may not have been in the right to donate it without asking first, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about him or their past with Emily. Sometimes you just have to let things go and move on.
Side note: This was a very good scene but in the moment I was too busy being mad with Cordell to really appreciate it XD
Later, at the fundraiser, Cordell approaches Geri to apologize for how he acted earlier and she apologizes for messing up. We also found out the mug he broke earlier in the season was Hoyt's and he's extremely apologetic about it, even fixing it later in the episode.
We also got the moment we've all been waiting for: Cordell telling Geri he loves her <3. A bumpy road to get here but it was all worth it.
Next, let's talk about probably the biggest part of this episode: the return of Sadie and the escalation of everything with Stella.
We start of with a flashback giving us confirmation that Sadie was the one that led the charge on lying about knowing Witt. I can't help but feel like there's a lot more she's not telling Stella, but we'll have to wait to see about that.
Next, Stella wakes up to Sadie pounding on her door. It seems she's finally answered all of Stella's missed calls and she's not happy about it. Stella is, understandably, freaking out about the writing she found on her window. Sadie is more than willing to chalk it up to coincidence and nonsense and even erases it to stop Stella from calling the detective that was investigating the case. Which only serves to annoy Stella further as she finally starts taking the reins in this situation, forcing Sadie to realize that there may be more too this. Whatever they thought about the break-in at the time, it's becoming clear that things are getting serious now. Sadie only gets on board when they find Stella's car doused in gasoline with a picture of Witt and a pack of matches on the dashboard but she's willing to listen to Stella after that.
While Stella hits a roadblock talking to campus security, Sadie finds a lead on who Witt's "Uncle Mike" might be. Both girls are ready to investigate but Stella has to attend the fundraiser at Ranger HQ or her family will be concerned. Sadie tags along to try to keep things normal and they do- mostly.
Side note: I did squeal at Sadie and Geri's reunion and mad props to Geri for realizing something was up between those two.
Later, both girls are feeling a little better about their situation- only to have their world come to a stop when none other than Witt pops up in the backseat of the mustang. Things are definitely not over.
Onto a happier plotline, let's talk about Cassie and Liam's storage locker adventure.
It's time for Cassie to finish moving in to Geri's house, but first she needs to clear through some of the mess Ben's been keeping in storage for her. While she doesn't seem ready to part with most of it, as unnecessary as most of it is, some gentle prodding from Liam about getting ready for a more stable future gets her on board eventually.
Side note: I agree with Cassie about those DVDs. Never let them go!!!!
In the meantime, Liam is worried about Stella- and also about the fact that Cordell isn't listening to him about Stella. He wants Stella to try therapy but she won't do it on her own and Cordell won't join Liam in strong-arming her into it. But, as Cassie said, what worked for Liam might not necessarily be right for Stella and she's gotta figure that out on her own.
Later, at Ranger HQ, Cassie's gotten rid of most of what she doesn't need from the storage locker with many things prepped to be donated later in the week. She then spends part of her night shift decorating her desk while Cordell and Trey brood over the Jackal case- which it's finally time for her to be let in on. Let's hope her FBI connections are willing to work behind a ranger captain's back.
Side side note: I'm glad Liam got his nametag keychain. He deserves it.
Next, let's talk about August's stint in bootcamp.
Leading up to this episode, I speculated over what the synopsis meant when they said bootcamp didn't go the way August thought. I thought it would either be August getting a funny comeuppance or him having a serious think about if the military was right for him and his future. Somehow this episode managed to give us both.
We start off with August beign very cocky about bootcamp. He shows up late, calls Trey "dude" and isn't super accepting of the consequences of those actions. He does put in the work during training and talks to Trey after to apologize and see what he can do to be better.
Trey gives him a pretty motivational speech and explains that while August is good at working on his own, he needs to start getting better at working as a team, especially if he's serious about going to the military. He would be going into very dangerous situations where a lot of people are counting on him to be on time and know what he's doing. Trey's confident that he can do it, he just needs to practice at it like everything else.
Unfortunately, August takes this advice a little too seriously and decides to dedicate himself fully to his military dreams by getting rid of all "distractions" in his room at the fundraiser later in the episode. This includes pretty much everything he had in his room related to music, including his piano, some speakers, and a collection of records. Abby, Bonham, and Trey are all understandably worried when they see this. Trey does speak up and assure August that he can learn to work as a team while still keeping the parts of himself that make him an individual, but it's after August has given up a lot.
It really does seem like August's military hopes are largely born out of wanting his family to love be proud of him again and I can only hope he finds a proper reason to go that route if he doesn't back out altogether.
With an episode like that, it's no wonder I left with more questions than answers. What is Sadie hiding? Where has she been hiding all this time? Will her relationship with Witt protect her and Stella? What's next for Cordell and Geri? Will Cassi's FBI connections help Walker and Trey keep James out of the loop? Will August figure out what he wants before it's time to make that serious committment?
Hopefully we'll get some answers next week!

I noticed your tags on the "bad localisation"-post and now I must know the lore... the Finnish translator of Elisabeth didn't speak German???
Hehe, I'm glad you asked!!
Mind you, this production happened when I was a small child, so all I have is second-hand knowledge from the internet (and an audio recording). Also, I may have exaggerated for comedic effect in my original tags lol, I don't know if he genuinely didn't speak it. However...
The guy who translated the Finnish Elisabeth was a very famous (prolific, if nothing else) theatre director and musical translator, starting his career in the late 60s already with a wildly popular production of Hair. Elisabeth seems to be among the only German-language shows he ever worked on - most of it was translations from English and French. ngl I also sort of hate his musical translations from English LMAO - because of how prolific he was, they still haunt the Finnish musical scene today... One big one he did is Cabaret back in the 90s, and a theatre that put a big fancy production on in 2020 actually redid all of the songs and only kept his dialogue because the translation was so clunky lmao. But I once went to the library to dig up his original lyrics to the title song and omg they suck, I wrote better ones in two minutes because I needed a Finnish version quickly ahshshsh. So already, it's a bit of a bad sign - this man is not a translator by profession or training, he's a director who started out doing it for practical purposes, and has a pretty broad set of languages he works in.
But then again - maybe it wouldn't have been a problem, especially since he had such extensive experience. In fact, Elisabeth was the last translation he ever did before passing away rather shortly after (of old age), so maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on him... However, the fact remains that the translation, just as lyrics, is pretty terrible and nonsensical sjjsjsjd.
My initial comment was actually largely inspired by this blog post by someone who actually saw the prod live (from onenightintheatre on blogspot), quote:
It sounded like the translator hadn't really understood German, because many lines sounded like someone had taken a dictionary, looked up the most important words of the sentence and then written a whole new sentence(-ish) based on those words. An example that remained etched in my mind: ("Eine Kaiserin muss glänzen"; Finnish, the Finnish translation in English, and the original German text) Countess Esterházy: Suunne aukaiskaa! ("Open your mouth!") (Öffnen Sie den Mund!) Sophie: Keltaiset ei olla saa! ("[Teeth] may not be yellow!") (Die sind zu gelb, das darf nicht sein!) Elisabeth: Tammalla saa! ("Mare's [teeth] may!") (Bin ich ein Pferd?) So... Instead of asking why they're treating her like a horse, Elisabeth thinks she is a horse and can therefore have yellow teeth? Oddly, "Bellaria" was significantly better translated than rest of the musical and actually sounded beautiful and made sense. There were also factual errors, like Rudolf complaining to Elisabeth that he must get married, when at that point of the story he had, in fact, been married for several years. The translator passed away half a year after the derniere, though, so maybe he wasn't at his best anymore when he did the translation.
As for me, I don't know the Finnish translation by heart, but some of my favourite songs (well, mostly Schatten 2) which I do know by heart also had the ball dropped on them... in that song, Rudolf complains that the court is wasting money on parties (woah good job working in the "dancing around the golden calf" metaphor, I'm sure the original author didn't mean it metaphorically to go with the pied piper thing, he meant literal dancing - though I guess this is accidentally accurate to irl rudolf and his ranty pamphlet on the idle nobility xD) and it's just quite clunky and repetitive overall without getting the main point across too well. Which is such a pity! I mean, translations are hard, but Kunze's work has since been translated into Finnish well, with the references and thematic messages intact, it's not impossible. So in a way, I think this one is a case of someone well-established in the industry getting the job because he happened to be there and have an extensive track record, not because he actually had the skills to make the best possible translation...
Ahsdhsfhfs so yeah. There's no proof that he didn't speak German, but it's my personal theory. Also, according to a few sources, Kunze himself hated this translation......

Critical Role, Campaign 3 Episode 100 (Downfall Part Two!)
ACTUAL SAM ad nonsense, this time. Okay, then ... awwwwww ... this is actually really cute ... Liam: "You're the fakest person I know ... you don't have a genuine bone in your body ..." LOL Yeah, that's it, nice save. That was actually quite adorable, even if Liam WAS a little ... less than SWEET with his choice of words. I'm looking at YOU, O'Brien. (I am joking, of course, for those who DON'T get irony ...)
Oh yeah, in truth Sam really HASN'T lost his touch and it's great. Even though it's at Marisha's expense ... XD
"And there's a POCKET!" The way Laura said that was too good ... LOL
Yeah, I expected the stand-up from Matt this time ... hello again, Brennan ... and he's as geeky as ever. I love it ... "Everyone's laughing it up but I am DEADLY FUCKING SERIOUS, okay?"
Chamber of Secrets? Yeah, no ... Brennan: "HBO! No, no, I'm sorry!"
So, the first roll of the evening ... 30? Blimey ... off to a great start, definitely ...
Oh, she's a JOLLY little halfling, isn't she? Yeah ...
The Emissary: "You. Made. Her. Saaaaaaad ..."
What happened in Vasselheim? That didn't sound good ...
An object wrapped in cloth? Something new, seemingly hidden but not well? Oh, that's suspicious. Careful with that, Ayden ... a prayer to "the family that we used to be" ... hmmm ... oh ... that's interesting ... someone's prayed to the Dawnfather here? Recently?
Hallis? Who's that?
An ARCHMAGE?!!! Intriguing ... oh, so it was to the Everlight? also interesting ... so it IS a book of the gods ... a really really OLD one ... whoa, this is PRE-Age of Arcanum? Wow ...
Locate Magic? Or a tracking spell? Hmmmm ...
Umleta: "Is this part of the plan, or are you asking me for a favour?" Trist: "Yes."
Oh yeah, go Raven Mother about-to-die second sight ... aha, so is this kid still alive? Is this something that Emhira COULD fix?
So there's a hospital close? That must be it, then ...
Yeah, I was thinking this too ... if they win an ally in this, they could circumvent a lot of greif in this plan ... Trist's plan could definitely make things a liot easier for them ...
Ayden: "I'm having a difficult time, I like him but also quite despise him ..." Taliesin: "Welcomg to Thanksgiving!"
Disperse and split up, then ...
Sphere of Invisibility. Okay ...
Oh ... a tragic love story? And I was already so compelled about Asha ... also I'm definitely liking that she's bonding with the Emissary ...
The Emissary: "Her first forest ... for you ..." Asha: "That would be a better gift. How typical."
Yeah, she really is hungry ... EVERYTHING'S hungry, apparently ... hmmm ... O.O
Wait ... a SENTIENT lock? Weird ... oh, is it some kind of Aeormaton? Cool ... did it just FLIRT with SILAHA? Interesting ...
Chorus? Okay ... of boy, wow, SILAHA is definitely a little too into this particular facade, aren't they?
So it's some kind of bizarre Aeormaton speakeasy? Weird ... and it's a bit kinky too, apparently ... O.O
Umleta: "You are a clown." SILAHA: "Go join the circus, then."
Apparently SILAHA is having trouble letting go ...
That Aeormaton/elven lesbian engagement was incredibly romantic, ain't gonna deny ...
Oh yeah, 4X is fascinating already ... a stiff? Hmmm ... milk and honey? Sounds suspicious ...
Crap ... the imp is onto them ... Emhira: "Imp ... in my boobs ..." SILAHA: "Oh dear ..."
Slith ... hmmm ... I would already die for this adorable little letch ... clearly he likes Emhira VERY MUCH ...
Command? Oh, here we go ... Wisdom save of 19? Okay ... nice ...
A planetar? So definitely an angel, then ... and SILAHA already has them under his thumb ... oh ... for one round only ... crap ...
Roll Initiative? OF COURSE ...
Hold Monster? Nice ... good choice, Abubakar. Brennan saves ... Abubakar: "I'm gonna use a Lucky!" Of course you are. XD
Shadow Blade and Boots of Haste combo means Laura gets another action ... so Emhira hacks away! 29 DEFINITELY hits ... 12! OF COURSE this thing bleeds gold ... and she's a Warcaster? Wow ... second attack, then ...
SILAHA is going to LITERALLY bend the reality of the space around them to trap this guy ...
Wow ... so that LITERALLY just ended JUST LIKE THAT ... cool. Yeah ... OF COURSE nobody else REALLY saw that ...
Meanwhile the door LITERALLY SWALLOWED the angel ...
Oh yeah, those two demons WOULD just brick it, wouldn't they? Nice defuse, at least ... and that's a break then so Brennan can take a dump, I suppose ...
Over to Trist and Ayden, then ...
Somehow I doubt he really NEEDED to PRAY n order to melt that lock ... mostly he was just doing it to be an arsehole, I reckon ...
Emergency, yeah ... definitely the smart word in THIS environment ... 21 persuasion? Yeah ... not here? I kind of doubt that ... and it doesn't SEEM like it either ... another persuasion check? 25 this time ... Ashley's rolling HARD tonight ...
Archmage Previn? Okay, there we go then ...
Oh, this play is FANCY, yeah ...
Here he is, then ... poor kid's in a STATE, clearly ...
Graygill's Wasting? Sounds nasty ...
Aha! This would be Previn, then ... Cassida? Yeah, first names might be smart right now ...
The book? Oh, okay ... that's a risky move ...
Okay, yeah, figured she was a worshipper.
Oh yeah, get rid of that cranky git ... Milo: "It ever follows."
Trist uses Lay On Hands to remove his disease ... is this actually gonna work? Oh shit ... is she too broken for it to really succeed? Hmmm ...
That's right, Previn, you're in the presence of the Everlight herself ... so the kid's HEALED and now has 70 hit points ... wow ... O.O
Hallis: "I'm hungry ..." Yeah, you bet his mum just bursts into tears ...
Milo! You massive prick! Teach him a lesson, Ayden.
Channel Divinity? So Ayden's just on a healing tour, then ...
Well, that seems like a very ... humbling lesson ...
So ... Archmage Previn is DIRECTLY involved in this great undertaking of Aeor against the gods, then? So this is potentially a VERY helpful development, then ...
Wait ... is she trying to SABOTAGE this weapon?
The Society of Primes? Sounds helpful ... maybe they DO have some allies here, then ...
Oh dear ... yeah, this might NOT work out how they'd like after all, then ... oof ...
Back to Asha and the Emissary, then ...
A lone single tree ... at once beautiful and foreboding, really ...
One more hour of their Sphere of Invisibility ... so maybe just try a stealthy infiltration, then ...
"A gift of the Golden Scythe ..." Hmmmmm ...
Well now ... at least the little things know to honour their patrons ... but also I feel VERY SORRY for these poor tiny birds, this is a HORRIBLE place to be trapped in ...
Yeah, looks like being sneaky IS the smart move right now, then.
Oh, that's just SWEET ... see, nature isn't ALWAYS cruel ...
And now the tree's talking to her too ... O.O
Brennan: "It is not only humans that worship." Yes indeed ...
Holy fuck ... Asha just made the tree SPLIT THE WALL OPEN with its roots. That is a fucking FLEX right there ...
Asha takes a twig from the tree for later ... ALSO smart ...
The Emissary: "Bird ... she bares her teeth ... but I know what Mother sees in her."
Tishar cleaves the pipe open and starts burrowing into it ...
And now we're back to Emhira and SILAHA ...
So ... questioning the angel, then ... they followed their commander here? So ... this is NOT the rebel angel that came here to offer up secrets, then? Interesting ... but clearly they are still a moody shit ... hmmm ...
SILAHA's actually trying to SUCK THE ANGER right out of them? Interesting ... 9 on a Charisma check? Oof ... yeah, that's roundly rejected, then ...
Acastriel? Is that the traitor, then?
So that happened, the ... the angel just CUT ITS OWN HEAD OFF ... lovely ...
Oh dear ... yeah, so Garathran, the angel, is now FACE TO FACE with the ACTUAL Matron of Ravens on the other side ... yeah, they done fucked up after all ...
Yeah, they are SCARED now, clearly ... but she's being SO SWEET even when she's bracing them for information ...
Here we go, then ... the much needed infodump ...
A DRAGON?!!! Sweet fuck ...
The bottleneck and the breaking point indeed ... the information HASN'T gone out yet ... so they COULD just nip this in the bud right here ...
They just vanish in a puff ... and all the knowledge floods into her instead ... yup ...
It's all happening ALL AT ONCE!!! Yeah ...
And meanwhile Taliesin and Noshir have to roll Initiative ... CRAP!!! Oh, now he's getting EVERYBODY to do it instead ... okay then ...
So they burst out of the pipe into a chamber ... oh dear ... two massive constructs bar the way ... crap indeed ...
Yeah. Kill the Archmage, then ...
The Emissary charges their energy up and makes a dash for the mage. The closer construct swings and VERY MUCH misses as they pass ... attack as a BONUS ACTION?!!! Holy shit ... two big axes form one larger weapon and they CHUCK IT at the mage ... holy fuck this weapon cleaves CLEAN THROUGH the sudden shielf spell and cuts right into its target ... a rune that says "Denial"? No shit ... 11 damage, but with Scales of Justice he's also grappled and dragged ... so another 12 points, 23 altogether ... nice ... next attack which ALSO hits with a 28 ... holy fuck ... more axe action, then ... 12 points of damage this time.
The Emissary: "REPENT." Oof ... O.O
So Emhira and SILAHA have to get to the Engine under the Scribe, then. HOW?!!!
Emhira sends her raven, Dearest, through the pipe into the chamber ... okay, then ... Arcane Gate? Oh yes, nice one indeed ... so there's a portal RIGHT where they want to be, then, and she steps straight through ...
So she's right in the thick of it, then, and SILAHA casts Dimension Door in order to directly follow her.
Clockwork Cavalcade? Sounds FANCY ... yeah, DO THAT!!!
Abubakar: "Gimme two seconds ..." Oh fuck yeah ... yes, that's EXACTLY it ... SILAHA literally just PACMANs the fucking Scribe and ALL of its data ... fucking SWEET ...
A poem so beautiful it could convince reality to kill a god ... holy shit ...
Zaharzht hobbles in and casts Silence on the Archmage ... all the sound leaves the room ... hmmm ... two Counterspells from the constructs fail SPECTACULARLY ... yup, no verbal components, then ... essentially he can therefore now do FUCK ALL ... XD
The Archmage manages to slip free from the grapple, but gives the Emissary an attack of poortunity ... the mage gets out of the range of Silence and dumps a Misty Step to flee ...
The group at the hospital are currently very much OUT OF THE FIGHT ... hmmm ... so Arcadia casts Teleport and just jumps ALL OF THEM into the room ... okay, then ...
Trists casts Guiding Bolt on the Orb ... nice ... Nat20! Yeah! Double damage, then ... 8D6? Wow ... 36 points of Radiant damage! BOOM!!! Advantage on the next attack, then ...
Awwwwwww ... Topher gave her a little slingshot? That's so sweet ... she casts Blinding Smite on it, then holds her position for whatever's next ...
Which is a construct coming right at her ... oof ... she takes 44 POINTS OF DAMAGE in a single hit ... fuck ... and she just TAKES IT ...
Zaharzht takes a hit too ... and has to make a concentration save to maintain the Silence ... which stays ... phew ...
Asha runs round, lands on the Emissary and reaches into them, pulling out a rusted metal ring, produces a vine of briatwood, and forms them into a really nasty spear ... she spots the mage just in time before he emerges from Misty Step and attacks ... 24 to hit ... effortlessly bypassing the Shield, she inflicts a monstrous amount of damage and completely STUNS the fucker ... following through, she batters the prone body and then delivers a Flurry of Blows ... ouch ... HDYWTDT indeed ... yeah, she just rips his throat right out with her bare teeth ... O.O
Tishar rushes in, sees the Orb's already fucked up, and Rages as she starts battering it ... 38 points of damage, then ...
Ayden points his staff at the Orb and hurls a Guiding Bolt at it ... 30 to hit? Oooof ... 20 points of Radiant damage ... then turns to Tishar and says: "It's taking you that long?" before granting her an Additonal Attack ... fuck, REALLY?!!!
Oh, nostalgia ... hmmmm ...
She smashes it to pieces ... oh yeah, this shit EXPLODES, definitely ... both the constructs just instantly go inert and that's IT for the fight...
Wind? Hmmm ... osh shit, wait ... yes, of course, the gates are open as the gods are starting to come in ...
Meanwhile they all pile through Emhira's gate and leave the chamber behind ...
And that's IT!!! Branna calls it a night ... roll on next week, then.
