Blue lock boys watching a romance K-drama with you!

Bllk boys x Fem!reader

Featuring: Itoshi Rin, Chigiri Hyoma, Yukimiya Kenyu, Bachira Meguru, Nagi Seishirou, and Hiori Yo!

Warnings: nothing, maybe a bit of angst (on hiori’s part) but don’t worry it’ll get better :) However, this is like my 2nd time writing and posting, so some of the characters might be ooc. If there’s any mistakes, feel free to let me know :) Anyways, enjoy!

Rin Itoshi 💙

Honestly at first he acts like he isn’t interested and thinks it’s the stupidest thing ever. Like he’ll literally be like “Ew why do you watch this stuff, it’s so corny” (and lukewarm). He usually watches horror movies/shows so romance k-dramas never really appealed to him.

However, the more you watched them…the more interested he would get. He’s slowly but surely start to learn the story and end up watching with you, but when you tease him about it, he goes “ugh no, I don’t even care about this stupid show.” But he continues to binge it with you.

Then he also gets upset when you watch it without him. (But he won’t ever admit that). Also, I can see him getting jealous of the main/2nd lead of the drama if you gush over them, or anyone in the show for that matter. He’d be like “if you like them so much why don’t you go to Korea and date them instead??” 💀💀

Deep down, he really does enjoy watching the show with you and he’d want to recreate some of the cute moments in the show. (He would never tell you tho). Honestly, I can see him silently fangirling when the 2 main love interest finally get together and they’re all happy.

He also likes cuddling with you when you guys are watching, it makes him feel so safe and secure. When the main couple kisses on screen or anything, he’ll get all flustered and would want to kiss you in the moment too <3

Chigiri Hyoma 🩷

This man definitely watches k-dramas. Probably a big fan of them too. I can definitely imagine him watching them with his sister and them bonding over that.

Anyways, he probably has a cute lil movie night set up when you watch together. Like there’s snacks, a blanket, and tons of cuddling. I can also see you guys doing face masks (the skincare kind lol) while watching too. He’d also buy the skincare and makeup products they have in the show too.

He’s also probably gonna talk to you a lot about the drama if he particularly likes it. He definitely follows the actors on insta and stalks them. (You stalk them together). He definitely also takes tons of inspiration from the outfits, makeup, and accessories from the show, he’d probably get you both matching stuff. Or maybe similar clothes to the main couple!

Also, if you fall for anyone in the show, he’s gonna tease you about it, he’ll be like “awww what? Am I not pretty enough for you? I can be 10x better than them.” Also, if you get flustered at something the love Interest did to the main character, he’s probably gonna do it to you one day too. 0//////0

If something romantic happens during the show, like if the couple kisses, he’ll lean in and kiss you too. <333 anyways, he’s a 10/10 to watch kdramas with.

Yukimiya Kenyu 🧡

Honestly, he’ll definitely watch with you, but not cuz he likes it too (he does), but to learn from it.

He’s the type of boyfriend that would want to be perfect for you, to meet your standards and well, to be your #1 (my heart ughh ). Out of all the guys,I feel like he’d be like the most like a k-drama love interest. He’s a gentleman, sweet, definitely popular with the ladies, and handsome. He definitely brags to you how you guys are basically a k-drama couple.

Anyways, I can see him trying to learn about the drama so he can talk with you if you’re super interested in it. He’d take time to really know the story and know the characters. Like he’ll surprise you cuz he knows so much, maybe even more than you.

If you’re gushing over any of the characters, he might start doing stuff the characters did to make you blush. Like for example, if the main couple went on a picnic, then he’ll take you on a picnic date. He’d tease you if you fall for someone in the show. He’d say something like “Ah, I see. That’s why you chose me right? Cuz I’m just like them? Hm?” (Crying rn hes so hot)

Also, I can imagine him trying to model for Korean companies that the actors model after watching, just in case he can meet one of them! He’d also probably take inspiration from the outfits in the show like Chigiri. You guys would definitely look like a k-drama power couple together <333

Bachira Meguru💛

I can see him totally being invested! He’d be so excited to watch with you and check it out. He’s so open to watch new shows, especially if you like them!

He’ll probably be super Interested and can’t wait to watch it with you. It’s like a little thing you guys do in your free time. He’s always so happy to watch it with you. He would also force you to watch it with him if you guys were left on a cliff hanger. If you have work he’d go “why don’t you take a break? We can watch our show!” He probably gets you off track 💀💀

He loves cuddling and holding you closer when something cute happens and would probably be gushing with you. He’d be like “awwww baby~ they’re so cute aren’t they? Just like us ;)”

Anyways, he probably wants to go on similar dates in the drama if he likes them. I can see him going “Ooooooh!! We should do that together one day! And that! And that! Let’s go there one day too!!” Ugh he’s so cute.

If you fall for any of the characters he’s be all whiny and cuddle you closer. He’d also complain how he’s so much better than that specific character. He also would fangirl with you when the love interests get together! He’s so fun to watch k-dramas with <3

Nagi Seishirou🤍

He only likes it because he can relax and cuddle with you 😭😭. All he wants to do while you watch is be in your arms or vice versa. He’d probably be playing games while you watch. Like it’s all emotional and sad and all there’s his video game noise in the background. •_•

However, he’d make it really comfortable and be chilling while you watch. Probably resting his head on your shoulder or lap. He’ll look at the TV screen every once in a while but he won’t rlly say anything.

Overtime, just like Rin, he’ll slowly get invested too. He’s pretty chill about it though and would probably be like “oh. They got together? Cool.” If any of the characters do something embarrassing, he’d call them cringy and have second hand embarrassment.

I can see him watching the show without you if you’re busy. When you ask him why he didn’t wait for you he’d say “it’s a hassle to go and ask you” 😭. I feel like he’d be kind of a menace and when he gets invested, it’s all he’s watching, he would most definitely watch ahead of you.

If you fall for a character he’d probably be annoyed but won’t rlly show it. He’ll start doing chores around the house or just do more for you just to show that he’s better than said character. He’ll hold you super close during a romantic scene and definitely likes watching with you. (Ugh I love him) <333

Hiori Yo 🩵

He’s probably already heard and know of K-dramas, but since his parents are strict, he’s never watched any. He’d be open to try watching them with you and be super curious about the shows too.

Honestly right off the bat, he’s be invested and like watching with you. He’s also super fun to watch the show with. Like he’d giggle at the cute interactions of the couples, scoff if the main character makes a stupid decision, and so on.

He really gets into the show and I can imagine him buying you guys cute merch (if there is any). He’d love going on similar dates of the couples and recreating cute moments. Or if you guys visit Korea, he’d want to go to the places in the show.

(Okay this next part is kinda sad but-)

I can see him being sad with you if something goes wrong in the show. Sometimes there’s moments in the show where the couple breaks up because of the parents. That’s Hiori’s worst fear. Having to loose you because of his parents. He hates the thought of it and it hurts him so much.

However, the characters always get back together. So, if fictional characters can fight for who the love, he can too. He would literally leave his parents for because unlike them, you actually love him. He loves romantic moments in the show, when one of the character A says how much they’re in love with character B and just stare at them with so much love. Ugh, it perfectly describes how he feels for you, he loves you so so much. (He’s so adorable) <33333

BLLK Boys As Dads

Thank you to everyone who liked the first post! This one is part 2, which will feature Sae, Kaiser, Oliver, Bachira, and Reo

These sweet boys are 20+ and are married to you fem/gn!reader

Warnings: Language, calling children dicks, suggestive themes

Sae Itoshi

The day you went into labor was the day Sae had a game. You were in the crowd watching him when your water broke

After Sae scored a goal, he looked for you in the crowd only to find you doubled over in pain with contractions and people surrounding you trying to help

His heart DROPPED and he ran to you, his coach yelling the entire time to get back onto the field, which Sae 1,000% ignored

When he found that you were in labor he left the game entirely to rush you to the hospital

Straight up ignored all of the phone calls from his coach. You’re far more important than the game

During labor, Sae was there holding your hand helping you with the breathing

18 hours later you gave birth to identical twins

Sae pressed his forehead against yours while praising you constantly while the nurses took care of their things

Let me tell you that seeing those bbs filled his heart with joy when he saw them both in your arms, the both of you crying tears of joy

Sae 100% is nervous with holding his own children, but when he does, you swear you could see his eyes gloss over as he looked at them with absolute love and adoration

You asked one of the nurses to take a picture with your phone of Sae as he spoke to your children, introducing himself and telling them how beautiful they are

You sent that photo to his coach with an apology and his coach immediately understood. They still won the game

Once the three of you came home, Sae took care of one while you cared for the other. One baby is hungry and the other needs a diaper change? He’s on it. Time to switch? He’s on it.

He even wakes up with you when they wake up in the middle of the night. Once he gets used to taking care of them, he tells you to go back to sleep cuz he’s 100% got it

He forgets about the baby monitor and you listen to everything, his soothing voice as he talks to them, praises of love and it just makes you MELT

He’s there for all of the milestones. He refuses to be anywhere but home for them

As they grow, of course the three of you go to every game as Sae argues the three of you are his lucky charms so away games, home games, you’re there

Bless these children they look like carbon copies of Sae and they absolutely ADORE him

Everyone sees Sae as this emotionless man but the moment the game is over and your children run to him, his expression does a complete 180 and he’s all smiles as his children run to his arms

Your children grow to be as athletic as he is, but only one is interested in football, which he’s more than happy to help teach, while the other wants to play volleyball, which is your forte (a/n it’s my favorite sport to play I miss it so much)

Sae. never. misses. a. game. 👏🏻 During the times he flies overseas, he has you FaceTime him so he can be there even when he’s not there physically

And guess who’s in their life? Their favorite Uncle Rin!

Sae’s not bothered by this at all. In fact, he wants Rin to be in their lives. Rin even teaches your football child some new moves

He’s also there for games, just the ones he can go to

The twins are super close to Sae’s teammates, but Sae is their favorite football player

He’s a proud papa and full of praises when his children play their games and achieve so much in their life ❤️

Michael Kaiser

Let me tell you something about this man

He may see himself as the emperor with such a high self esteem, but this man literally worships the ground you walk on

Every night when he comes home, he cuddles in your lap with his head resting on your growing stomach ever since you both found you were pregnant. It’s his favorite spot and absolutely LOVES it when you run your fingers through his hair

So when it was go time, he was ready with your bags and everything

Literally princess carries you to the car even when you protest that he’ll get dirty this man don’t care

He gets you to the hospital in no time flat. Man drives like he’s on the Autobahn the entire way

How he doesn’t get pulled over is a mystery

He wants to witness the miracle of childbirth so he’s there holding up on leg and watching the entire thing while excitedly telling you what’s happening almost like you can’t feel the entire thing because unfortunately for you, you were ready to push once you got into the bed

The entire labor lasted 2 hours and your baby was born with his blonde hair

Kaiser was the first to hold your child and he’s just tears

He kisses the two of you on your head while praising and thanking you

While he was annoying during labor, your heart melted nonetheless that he was so excited the entire pregnancy and birth and you just fell in love with him all over again

Once you’re home, he’s insistent that he does EVERYTHING because he truly wants to

Of course when you argue that he needs his rest for practice and games, he thinks about it and agrees with you, so he’s more than happy to share the responsibility

He is the literal cutest dad and he’s there for every milestone

Melted when his child said “dada”, even if it was their second word (first was amma, which is what his mother is called instead of grandma)

She is OBSESSED with her grandchild

She’s so in love with Kaiser’s little family in fact, as soon as Kaiser chose you to spend the rest of his life with, she was completely on board because she knew you were different from other women

He’s insistent that you don’t have to be at every one of his games but he’ll always look for you in the crowd

And there you are with your growing child, with them wearing his jersey and let me tell you, when he sees you both, his heart is so full of joy and love that it takes everything he can to not immediately run to you both

Except he actually does

His body moved on its own and before he knew it, the two of you were in his arms

His coach was yelling the entire time and you flicked Kaiser’s forehead

“What are you doing running out of an ongoing game?!” “Mein liebe! I didn’t mean to!”

Pouts the rest of the game both because of his own action and because you flicked his forehead

Once the game is over, he trudges up to you, still pouting

Seeing how pathetic he looks, you kiss his cheek and apologize (part just because he’s being annoying and part because you actually do feel bad when he was just so happy to see you two)

Your child makes it even better by wanting to be held by Kaiser and it just makes him so happy

Of course the paparazzi has photos of Kaiser speeding to you guys and hugging you, which appear in articles

Kaiser literally gives 0 fucks because he’s proud of his family

As your child grows, they’re a perfect combination of the two of you with Kaiser’s hair and eye shape but with your eyes and nose, which are Kaiser’s favorite parts of your face

And boy let me tell you this child has the self esteem of a god being the child of Kaiser

And he encourages it because he has the same self esteem. As much as you’ve tried, Kaiser’s genes just push through

Unlike Kaiser, your child prefers singing compared to football and let me tell you this. child. can. SING.

Even though your child won’t walk down the same path as Kaiser, he’s not upset in the slightest. In fact, he’s incredibly proud and supportive

Hires the best vocal teachers to help your child continue to grow with their vocals and even hires the best guitar teacher when they expressed that they wanted to learn guitar

This child ends up growing up to look GORGEOUS and uses the same red eyeliner as Kaiser does

Of course Kaiser wants another one to which you happily oblige because he’s such a good father

And he loves your second child just as much as the first

Oliver Aiku

When Oliver heard you were pregnant, he was estatic

While he was a playboy, he settled down the day he fell in love with you and it shocked you to no end because you knew he was a playboy

Anyway back to dad!Oliver

Thankfully you were both at home when your water broke so Oliver had it all taken care of. He was so calm while he grabbed the bags and helped you into the car

While you were getting contractions in the car, Oliver helped you practice the breathing you both learned in parenting class

Unfortunately there was a huge traffic accident that stopped all traffic so Oliver ended up pulling over and you had no choice but to give birth there

A few EMTs even came by to assist and Oliver was the one who delivered the baby

As soon as the baby was born, Oliver used his own shirt to wrap them in

Even covered in blood and afterbirth, Oliver thought they were the most beautiful being on this planet besides you

The EMTs ended up calling another ambulance to take you both to the hospital, the entire time Oliver was praising you. You’re his literal hero

Once settled into the hospital, Oliver peppered you with kisses

He would sleep next to you in the bed

There were a few complications so the baby had to stay in the NICU and Oliver literally did not leave your side

Thankfully after 2 days everything was fine and you both were able to leave the hospital

Oliver insisted on doing everything for you so that you could heal and because he genuinely wants to help take care of the baby

But when it came to feeding time, Oliver happily cuddled against you while leaning his head against yours as he watches your child feed

Literally cried when your child held his finger for the first time while you were feeding them

He did end up missing some big milestones but was still ecstatic to receive videos while he was overseas

Video chatted with you every chance he could

You didn’t even have to worry about his eyes wandering because they were only on your child

You became a little jealous but he always made sure to never keep his attention away from you

During interviews, he boasted every chance he could about the two of you and even showed photos of your child

Like Rin, Oliver posted his social media of pictures of the three of you

The one thing your child did not receive from Oliver was his heterochromatic eyes which honestly eased his worries because he didn’t want to subject his child to bullying kids are dicks

But damn other moms be complimenting on how gorgeous your child and husband is

Literally is a carbon copy of their father they might as well have just detached like cells from Oliver from their looks to their personality and to their absolute love for you

Oliver will have to figuratively fist fight his child for your attention

So once your child goes to sleep at night is when Oliver attacks

The amount of times this child has cockblocked Oliver has enough to force someone to babysit while he takes you out with which you’ll end up at a hotel

But seriously, Oliver is also a devoted father. He loves his mini-me so much

Takes them to practice and that’s where they discovered their love for football

Oliver cries when he finds out he’s not his child’s favorite player: it’s Sendo

This child unknowingly set up the biggest rivalry in Oliver’s soul and poor Sendo

So when Oliver offers to teach your child football, the lack of seconds it takes for your child to say no they want Sendo to teach them broke something inside Oliver’s soul

He ended up whining as he hugged you from behind while you’re cooking dinner

Give this poor man some love sweet child

After giving Oliver advice, he joined in on the training and fully bonded with your child

But he’s still not their favorite

It’s ok though because he’s your favorite player in Ubers and when your child starts playing in school, they’re both of your favorite

But Oliver won’t admit it to they’re face because he’s so petty about Sendo so he’ll literally tell them some random kid is his favorite

And because they are Oliver’s child, they’ll have the same reaction

Bachira Meguru

You know this little ball of sunshine and nightmares when he’s on the field

The moment he found out about your pregnancy, he almost leapt into your arms out of joy and thankfully he did not because he didn’t want to hurt “babyichi”

Literally has contemplated naming your child this

Seriously

He’s such a kind and devoted husband to you like you literally don’t even have to lift a finger

Cravings hit you at 4am? My man got you he is up and already running out the door

Just like Kaiser, Bachira’s favorite spot is in your lap with his arms around your waist while he uses your growing stomach like a pillow

And he just talks to the baby telling them about his day and how he’s so excited to meet their “babyichi”

You’ve accepted this nickname

Once your water broke, Bachira was both parts excited and nervous while bouncing off the walls

Just like with Kaiser, he wants to be up front and personal with your lower region

Nothing can phase this man because his eyes are literally sparkling

“It stretches that big?! Wow!” “(Y/N) you’re amazing!” praises are thrown own

But he also praises you for how hard you’re working because he can see how much pain you’re in and he comes up to kiss your tears away

He’s not just there for the childbirth, he’s there to support you

As soon as your child is born, they’re born with a little tuff of brown and blonde hair and Bachira just MELTS

“Hey hey look (Y/N)! He/she has my hair!” The smile that stretched across your face seeing Bachira’s expression just so gentle and full of love was unreal

He video called literally everyone he knew to show your new bundle of joy for everything. EVERYTHING

First bath? Video call. First diaper change? Video call. First feeding? Attempted video call because you didn’t want to show your breasts to everyone he knows

He pouted like there’s no tomorrow because he just wants to share the happiness

But that didn’t last long because you were talking about family photos with his mom when she visited

Bachira pulled his phone out and asked his mom to take your first family photo which she was more than happy to do

Thankfully you had the time to shower before she visited so you were presentable

After the cutest family photo was taken, he set it as his lock screen

Now let me tell you that this man will bend over backwards (when you said this phrase he literally tried bless his heart the sweetie) to make sure you and babyichi are taken care of and are resting

And when he’s away, he has his mom check on you not because he doesn’t trust you but because he’s worried about the two of you and not being around causes him to worry

Literally will overthink the worst possible scenarios like a burglary, accident, anything so he’s always asking his mom to check when he’s away for games

As your child grows, they’re just. like. Bachira from energy to looks

So you have two hyperactive babes on the loose please help this poor mother’s soul

But you wouldn’t change that for anything

Bachira is the type who will do football tricks to make his own child laugh and his favorite game is the ‘What Is This Face?’ game he played in Blue Lock

Your child eats those faces up

As they get older, it’s their favorite game to play

Remember those football tricks? Your child wants to learn those too and this is how they learned their love for the sport

When you take your child to games, Bachira has a habit of showing off and your child continues to eat it all up

Bachira is their absolute favorite player and of course they want to learn every move

Their specialty? Dribbling

When you watch Bachira and your child play together, your heart just melts, especially knowing how he grew up

Ofc grandma comes and visits often and when she sees her son and grandchild playing, she has the same feeling

Bachira’s heart is so full of love from being a father that he begs for another child

Can you handle a 3rd Bachira?

Of course you can! You plan for your 2nd child immediately

Reo Mikage

Let me tell you this man weeped when he found out you were pregnant

For hours

Days even

Ok maybe not days but it felt like it to you

First person he called? Nagi

He even wept on the phone to Nagi. Nagi immediately hung up once Reo started crying

He hasn’t cried this much since your wedding day

Nagi was done with him even then but he was best man and was honestly too lazy to leave

The first thing Reo does in the morning is hug and kiss both you and your stomach. As well as when he leaves. And comes home. And is the last thing he does every day for the entire pregnancy

It melts your heart every time

Reo comes home from every away game with a mass amount of baby things and you have to literally have him call you to tell him to stop because the baby has enough things

Unfortunately, the day you went into labor, he was overseas and in the middle of a game

Once the game was over with their win, he checks his phone to see a call and text from you to tell him you went into labor and his. heart. SANK

He immediately FaceTimes you to apologize and check on you as he’s speeding to the airport in a taxi

By that time you had already given birth

It’s the one thing he regrets to this day

He ended up taking the next flight out and couldn’t make it to the hospital until 2 days later, which was the same day you could leave

Reo had his driver take the three of you home so that he could make up for everything he missed like holding his new baby for the first time

Reo kept crying and apologizing to you for not being there

It took so much to calm him down because you knew this could be a possibility and you’re not upset with him at all

He’s upset with himself and you understood this as well so you distract him with holding your baby once you got home

And let me tell you, that just made him cry more because he was just so happy

You didn’t even know this man could cry so much when you first met please send help

But you know this comes from the absolute love for his family so all you needed to do was hold him with one hand while your baby held your finger as they slept

Once you get home, Reo carries the car seat while you held onto his hand to go up the stairs to the elevator

As soon as you’re in the comfort of your own home, Reo sits you down and places the car seat in front of you so you could show him how to hold your newborn

Poor guy was so nervous, but as soon as he held them, his eyes widened with complete adoration

This child has Reo’s eyebrows

They’re a bald baby so the hair color is unclear but Reo sees this child as nothing less than beautiful because they were a combination of the two of you

Reo looks at you while grinning with tears in his eyes singing nothing but praises and thanks to you for making him a father

Little did he know you were taking photos of him and your child and sending them to his mother

She visited you a day before Reo flew in and it was almost as if she became the same woman Reo remembered in his childhood. She asked to keep it a secret because Reo and his family were still estranged

You also made your favorite photo your lock screen

Unfortunate for Reo’s team but after missing the birth of his own child he wasn’t missing anything else and ended up taking a break from football to be there for all of the milestones

Financially, he didn’t need it and Nagi still came over to keep Reo updated with everything happening as well as practices

Nagi absolutely adores your child

Sometimes you’ll find Nagi dozing off with them sleeping on him and you’ll catch Reo already taking pictures

But Reo does the same thing

When he learned about skinship, that was the only way he would hold his child

So there would be times where Reo would be napping with your child on his chest and you ended up using this as your new lock screen

Of course you’d also send it to Reo’s mom, who was so happy with knowing Reo is a loving and devoted father, which was something he strived to be in order to not provide the same childhood Reo had

In fact, the day he found out you sent pictures and updates to his mom, he was furious. Not with you, but his own mother to make you keep this a secret

You had to calm him and take fair share of the blame while explaining that his mom genuinely wants to be there for her grandchild

For the first time since he left home, he contacted his mother and invited her over. Just her

What you witnessed afterwards was a breakthrough in their relationship because again, Reo did not want to be like his father so after this, she was around more often

Once the child was a bit older, Reo went back to play football, which his mother supported

The three of you went to every single game of Reo’s

You end up finding out that Reo’s mom had watched every game since Reo went pro but this was her first time going to a game

You end up wearing Reo’s jersey number and surprised your husband with your child wearing it too

Reo’s heart was so full of love and adoration for his family that he and Nagi were unbeatable

After the game, he met up with the three of you and your mother sang nothing but praises

But guess what? There was one more secret

You were pregnant again

This time, he didn’t miss the birth since it fell outside of football season and his coach granted the last week off for him

This man still wept so much during labor and holding his newborn

As both children grew, the oldest resembled you and the youngest resembled Reo

The three of them would always play football together along with Uncle Nagi

And it was what they wanted to be growing up, just like their dad and uncle

Their favorite players? Reo and Nagi, of course, especially with their dynamic

At one point they asked why you didn’t play sports and your soul broke a bit when you said unlike their father and uncle, you weren’t a genius

Literally all four of them comforted you (Nagi because he felt left out)

Tbh I think it's still legit if you read and like Blue Lock for being so gay (at least subtextually), despite being misogynistic Kaneshiro seems to have sympathy for queer people to a certain degree. Besides the gay sidekick, As The Gods Will also has some other queer side characters (a lesbian, a trans girl, a few more hinted gay boys and a non-binary villain according to my memory) even though not all of them are well-written, the good ones are good. Specifically my most favorite is the gay sidekick Ushimitsu, he's actually a pretty well-rounded character with very strong role as a co-lead in ATGW 2, I never feel like he was disrespected in the story (rather I think he's obviously Kaneshiro's favorite), sure he's got an open ending that can be seen as tragic but it's actually in line of the whole theme of the story and I respect Kaneshiro to commit to writing it rather than just give a copout happy ending and it also proves his gay feelings as real & deep despite heartbreaking.

Now I wish Kaneshiro can have that same energy in writing Bachira as he's in a similar position to Ushimitsu in ATGW but somehow poor bee boy got pushed aside in bllk after U20 arc (probably in favor of more popular Isagi ship with Rin or Kaiser 🙃), I hope he makes good on the promise that Bachira will be a key character later in the series and this time since nobody will die in Bllk I hope Bachisagi will get a deserved happy ending.

well that's the thing, anon.

I feel bad for liking blue lock because it has such a misogynistic creator but it's hard not to cling to something so obviously queer friendly.

like honestly.

there's definitely Japanese media that's queer neutral or queer friendly but blue lock actually feels like it's always on the verge of just being properly queer.

it's not fanservice like free or yuri on ice. it legitimately feels as close to canon as it can get without changing genres. and I think the creator having queer characters in the past gives him some street cred.

i know what homophobia in a manga looks like. it's that awful rapist character from one punch man. this hyper masculine but also hyper feminine muscly man who sexually assaults other men.

it's tokyo ghoul having its only queer characters being pedophiles, rapists, and sex addicts/victims who get sexually assaulted until they're "corrected."

it's having no subtext at all and only ever using gay men as a one off joke and gay women as a fetish.

at least blue lock does seem to respect its characters enough that it takes their hinted at sexualities seriously.

it really doesn't go for the obvious "ewwwwww we're both guys" jokes. it's kept very ambiguous. it's subtle (except when it's not, lol).

the only character who really fits the usual offensive gay anime representation tropes is Shidou, but even him I wouldn't count as bad rep (as the closest to canonically gay character, aside from Bachira).

Shidou might be super flamboyant but he also gets to have the coolest fucking moments in the series. he's not just some pervert, he's a badass. he doesn't just flounder around like some useless weird loser who only exists to be the butt of a joke.

he loves to fight and play soccer and feel alive. he has the coolest aura in the series and everyone is constantly in awe of the ridiculous things he can do.

he's a proper villain, who's out of pocket and insane, but who's also intensely lovable and silly. and honestly portrayed pretty sympathetically. for all his faults, he can be very kind.

there's a lot of depth to him, and honestly, I think Blue Lock is pretty good at not doing anything to suggest oh hahaha homosexuality exists. isn't that funny

plus I think Bachira is canonically gay. we know he's canonically in love with Isagi.

kunigami and aiku are actually confirmed bisexual too.

Shidou and Sae were also highly suspect during u20, to the point where even homophobes cant deny they have something weird going on.

so to me... that's a lot of queer characters who are taken seriously and actually have characters outside of being a joke or a gag. they feel like real people. they have distinct personalities.

the bar is in hell, but it's more than most manga/anime manage.

so I have to give Kaneshiro credit. he's doing as much as he can, without overstepping the boundary I'm sure kodansha has set for him.

it's just a shame he's a sexist. also, I hope Kaneshiro grows a pair.

just have bachisagi get married in the last chapter you pussy.

ok y'all it's time for me to yap about lore again

I realize about a year ago I made a post chatting about how the Cryptons' super abilities work in this AU and I've been working hard trying to streamline things so they make more sense (I am not good at writing, you guys know this)

but I'm doing my best anyway!!! so let's talk about superpowers!!!! read under the cut!!!

Basic Rundown

So what can the CVs do, anyway? is the main question, I think. To give the basics, the CV line of androids are built with special cores in their bodies - their Hearts, if you will - that give them the unique ability to adapt to and feel human emotion. Part of their "directive" is to gain experiences and find music that will allow them to take on and learn more about human emotions. They use these feelings to carry out their musical activities, such as dancing, singing, and acting.

However, as a result of a certain incident (i.e. their first encounter with a supervillain) their Hearts have unlocked some sort of special power: this power allows the group to use the emotions they've gained and convert them into an energy that Dr. Sakine has dubbed "Voltage". To put it in really plain terms, they're very empathic powers.

Voltage Powers/Music Powers

So what kinda powers are these?

First, the group basically has empathy built in (the psychic kind, not the psychological term). The CVs are able to sense how others feel, even if it might not be readily apparent to the person in question. It's not like mind-reading, exactly, and it's not super in-depth, but they can sense it.

Their Voltage abilities give them the ability to affect people's emotions back, through their singing of course. For example, singing a happy song can cause a boost of energy in others, or a calming song make them feel calm. (They can do this voluntarily, so it doesn't happen every time they sing.) They can also induce certain feelings or sensations with songs or with their voices, such as infatuation, cold, sleep, etc. However, this power can fail to affect those with strong enough feelings/conviction, and it can get blocked out like ordinary music. (Also, it's worth noting that their singing is more like a strong suggestion than like, actually controlling people's emotions. They can't do that.)

The CVs can also draw energy or strength from others' emotions alongside their own, allowing their abilities to get stronger and more potent. This can be a double-edged sword: positive and negative emotions both work, but positive emotions are more cost-efficient; negative emotions can fuel them, but it can quickly lead to burnout unless controlled well (ex. Rin can gather the rage of others and use it to fuel her abilities for a quick, huge burst, but if she lets the anger start to affect her too much, she can use too much power and burn herself out).

Simple one, but since Voltage is energy, they can use their Voltage and expel it as energy blasts, usually through their hands, cool stuff like that. Miku discovered at one point that she can do it through her eyes (MIKU MIKU BEAM!) to her surprise, lmao. Also, I like to think that one of their strongest moves is what I call "Voltage Wave", where they fire one huge blast at the same time. (They have to do it together, though, it's too difficult to pull off alone. Luka's addition to the team made it even easier!)

On special occasions, if they can gather enough power from the emotions of lots and lots of people (for instance, the entire city) they can access Upgraded Forms (V3/V4X) where their powers become much stronger and they're able to pull off way more techniques. :> Maybe even some new powers as a whole!

Lastly, each of the CVs have a unique ability of sorts when it comes to their Voltage abilities. Miku's ability is that she's twice as empathically sensitive than the others, so she feels what others feel more deeply and is even able to "Synchronize" with them: pretty much allowing her to feel what someone feels like she were directly in their mind (for the record this is not always a good thing). Rin and Len's ability is a lot more simple: by drawing from their bond as siblings and mirror images, they can power up and use some minor electrokinesis (Electric Voice System). Luka...is still figuring hers out. (read: I'm working on it)

So those are their music/Voltage-related powers!

Other Powers

They also have a few "stock" superpowers. Some of these come as a part of being robots.

Flight. They have rockets embedded in their legs that allow them to fly. They can also leap pretty well.

Super Strength. All of them have it, but Rin in particular has it as her specialty. They can lift cars, trucks, large objects and more with a bit of effort. Some of them are better at controlling their strength than others.

Super Hearing. Considering they're also made for music, the CVs can hear extremely well and can hear things from miles away with some focus (like calls for help!).

Super Speed. Of course, they're faster than the average human. They're actually faster while flying, but they can still travel at pretty good speeds on foot as well.

They're very durable/super tough. Being made out of metal underneath their artificial skin, they're very tough and can take a lot of damage, far more than a human possibly could. They are not immune to damage, however - like, they're not Superman and impervious to bullets. Also, while they are robots, their limbs are not exactly meant to come off super easily, but they can function without them as long as their head (brain) and chest (Heart) are intact.

They're functionally immortal. The CVs, being robots, don't age or grow old, and as long as they are left in relatively good condition and can repair themselves, they can live for years and years, possibly even centuries. (I actually think chances are Miku, Rin, Len and Luka will outlive Meiko and Kaito.)

They are able to "download" themselves into other technology. The CVs are capable of uploading their consciousnesses into computers and returning to their physical bodies when needed. Not something they do too often, however, as they can be prevented from accessing their bodies if something goes awry. It should also be kept in mind that as robots, and therefore machinery, they are susceptible to things like glitches, viruses, and hacking.

And that's it, at least for now! I will probably add on as I figure more things out.

You’re so hypnotized by your phone you don’t see him and his team walking down. “That girl over there is super pretty.” “She looks really familiar?” Isagi and reo say as they glance at you.

Nagi turns his head to where they’re looking to see you and he smiles. “That’s my girlfriend.” He says and reo laughs, nagi looks him up and down in a ‘the fuck is so funny’ type of way. Reo catches this and scoffs, “no way you’re pulling her.” Kunigami says and as if it was on cue, you hear him and see nagi from across the street. You smile and wave to nagi and he waves you over, reo is shocked. Isagi’s mouth is wide open and he cannot believe it. You walk over saying hello to everyone and clinging to your boyfriends arm and he’s glaring at the whole damn team at this point

“Did he force you to date him? Is this a joke? Nagi got a girlfriend before me?! I’m gonna faint.” Bachira says as he holds onto Isagi and puts a hand on his forehead. You laugh hard and nagi frowns at you mumbling a “how’s that funny?”, Isagi is still standing there in complete shock. “Y-you’re y/n! The one who won the woman’s high school soccer championship in kanagawa! No way!” Isagi says and he’s about to faint literally.

“Y’all just mad I get more action then y’all.” He replies and drags you away from them, your smiling and yelling a “bye! Hopefully I’ll see you all around!” And Bachira is yelling “bring her back!” To nagi.

“Reooo! Wait up” you whine, and reo chuckles and slows down a little for you to catch up. You both walk through the doors of the school and immediately all eyes are on the two of you, people staring and mumbling— it honestly scares you a little. You both walk to class and you think something is wrong. Why was everyone looking?

It’s the first time anyone’s ever seen you since you’re new to the school, and you’re nervous beyond belief.

Class goes by and reo pulls you aside as soon as it’s over. “What’s wrong? You look upset.” “Why is everyone staring at us?” Before reo can respond a tall boy with white hair walks over and talks before him. “Are you and reo dating?” Straight to the point. You nod and he smiles, pats reo on the back with a “congrats” and leaves without another word.

Confusion is written all over your face and reo laughs and says “that’s nagi. I’ll introduce you to him one day, but I was gonna say they’re looking bec-“ cut off once again, this time by some random girl, she shoves a camera in your face and smiles “Reo Mikage’s girlfriend! The brand new school sensation. Everyone is fawning over how beautiful she is! What’s your name and how do you feel about all the support and compliments you’ve been getting on the school page?”

Reo sighs and excuses the both of you and drags you outside, everyone smiling at the both of you and suddenly it makes sense. Everyone’s looking because you two are dating and they want to know who exactly you are. Nosy. As you pass groups of people you hear them mumbling “it’s no surprise reo got the prettiest girl here. It is reo mikage.” “They’re both so cute. I don’t know if I want to be reo or be with reo.” “Reo better watch out, cause if they break up I’m going for her first thing!”

You smile as he drags you down the hall and laugh. He sees and smiles as well, happy you finally understood and aren’t upset anymore.

You laugh at your friends comments and get dressed to go through the day. Walking to the soccer practice you smile and yell “heyyy!” To everyone and everyone yells hey back, but nobody was as loud as Bachira. He stops everything he’s doing to run over to you and hug you despite how sweaty he is.

“You’re sweaty bachi’” you whine, and push him off of you because you don’t want him to ruin your clothes. Chigiri yells “Bachira come here and finish practice! We’re almost done.” “Wanna spend time with the light of my life” and nagi fake throws up in the corner. “We know y/n would never go for you Bachira give it up! She really want me instead” reo jokes, and Bachira takes a random shoe and throws it at him.

Reo chases Bachira and kunigami screams “my shoe! I spent money on that shit you know!” You laugh and Isagi kicks you out because apparently you’re too much of a distraction for the team (Bachira.)

You spend the rest of the day home and hear loud knocks on your door. Who else would it be? Bachira shoves his way into your home and flops on top of you on the couch. “They’re bullies” he fake cries and you stroke his hair and laugh. “My poor Bachi.” You kiss his forehead and he hums into your chest.

You take out your phone and snap a picture of him on you and post it on your story, adding a text saying “@bachiraluvsy/n the best bf” and post it. You put the phone down and silence it, only wanting to focus on your boyfriend for the rest of the day.

In my previous post i talked about how I have a lotta scrapped MV ideas, well may as well dump some designs i've made based on songs over the years because like I probably wouldn't post these otherwize

also heres a few nice picture of miku from one of em to make you click on this post because its gunna be a long one and all these are hidden below a read more

for the record don't expect me to do anything with any of these, also these are from old to new some of these date back to early 2022 and it shows

This one i posted a storyboard for actually its An Aliens I Love You by Utsu-P.

I gave young Rin a sakura motif with her dress because of miku and rin meeting under a sakura tree, teen miku has a pink ribbion and hairclip to continue this. both rins bow and mikus outfit get darker outfits overtime to sybolize the song getting darker. I also gave adult rin the future rin hair. Miku's "alien" form is more or less how its described in the song tho i was lazy and didn't draw the 4 arms in the refs.

also Lily is Rins mom in this yup there she is indeed.

characters like them probably wanted to just sit and watch you dance, clap for you (kunigami), make fun of you (raichi) or maybe get up and do certain moves here and there (gagamaru), but to think that they’d end up doing the whole dance?????? the entire dance break, with the waacking part??? it was not in their vision to be doing this.. but oh well!

i can also imagine characters like yukimiya, karasu, iemon and kira watching you dance at first. but after seeing how fun it is, they get up and join you too!!! they don’t know what they’re doing and you’re both laughing but it doesn’t matter. bonus points if you’re dancing in the middle of the night and the whole neighbourhood is asleep!!!!

these songs are LITERALLYYY made for slow dancing. characters who want to savour the night with you by holding your waist and having you place your arms on their chest as you both sway left and right.

the atmosphere is so loving, and it’s in this moment that you know how much he loves you and he knows how much you love him. the way he looks into your eyes and you can practically see yourself engraved in his pupil. i can imagine these with characters like barou, zantetsu, and eita.

barou, the selfish king has finally found his queen who’s worthy of his attention and love.

zantetsu, who sometimes doesn’t know left from right, can finally dance to the rhythm of the music with you. he even manages to not step on your foot!! (he probably asked reo and nagi for help. then reo made him slow dance with nagi to practice while reo sung horribly for them LMFAOAOA).

and of course! our dearest eita otoya. sometimes nobody knows what he’s thinking about; but the answer is obvious. what else would he be thinking about if not you? there’s only you in his head.

slow dancing with characters like shidou, hiori, rin, sae and others would be fun too.

now, imagine if the playlist suddenly goes from these romantic songs… to an upbeat song like call me maybe by carly rae jepsen!!!! it probably broke the romantic atmosphere.. but for the better of course! life is fun when you’re dancing around with your lover without a care in the world.

characters like rin, hiori and shidou would giggle a bit when the song suddenly changed and you broke eye contact. it was really like they were in a trance!

shidou would spin you around like a ballerina and laugh a bit. he’d do silly dances and pull you along with him. at the more upbeat parts he’d pretend to play the background guitar music while you grabbed a tv remote and pretended it to be singing into it. you’re both VERY off key… but with shidou it doesn’t matter.

NOW RIN probably wouldn’t know what to do. he’s awkward. you’re probably the one who has to spin him like a ballerina. and my god… it’s hard for him to spin since you’re so much shorter than him. he has to bend his back and at first he’s confused like “wtf are you doing y/n” until you go “spin!! rin c’mon! spin!” and he gets the hint and spins LOLL he’s so cute. you probably make him jump around and he doesn’t know what’s going on but he knows for sure that he is happy.

hiori… oh sweet hiori. he’s giggling so much at how you dance and drag his hand along for him to dance too! and he does!!!! hiori’s a silly boyfriend. he does NOT care that the windows are wide open. he doesn’t care that both your hairs are in a mess, both of you sweating like no tomorrow. heck, he’s probably even taking this dancing as a workout!!! but more importantly, he’s happy that you’re happy!!

but, characters like nanase WILL smirk back at you and he knows what you’re thinking. you’re both dancing around the kitchen, the fire on the stove just bubbling as you both forget why you’re here in the first place. the kitchen has become a dance floor, a club, a party, whatever. MAYBE nanase will be sure to keep you safe in the kitchen. occasionally dancing, then pausing to continue cutting vegetables, then pour vegetables in the pot, then continue dancing again. bro gets work done!

As I was about to write something else, I noticed two bunnies hopping along in my backyard and it gave me an idea for something else. Please enjoy!

He would've been perfectly content just drinking in the bar with just you.

And it had been that way for a long time.

Till you came back one day hiding something in your shirt.

She won't even care if you're in the room to witness this.

Hell, join her in spoiling the puppy.

And outfits, she has so many outfits for the dog.

You have no idea where they even came from.

You will never see that pup without something on.

Hair bows, bandanas, hats, sometimes even little shirts or dresses.

She will find matching clothes for the three of you.

Don't think this dog won't be the most spoiled thing ever.

2. How important is sex to them in a relationship? Do they see it as something essential to their happiness? Would they be able to remain in a monogamous relationship with someone they loved without sex?

Sex is pretty important to Fiona. It’s something he really enjoys but it’s something he considers terribly important. Optimally, he’d love to have a partner who matched his freak in bed but it’s not a requirement!! He can take care of himself, thank you very much.

Rin is generally hesitant entering a sexually monogamous relationship. Personally, sex isn’t super required for her in a relationship. She’s okay with being in a relationship without sex. But she does like having multiple sexual partners. She’d never given the illusion that sex w/her is exclusive or anything so I do think it would take quite some time…

5. How closely is their opinion of their own beauty (or lack thereof) linked to their confidence? Do they see themselves as more or less worthy of love or sex based on how attractive they feel?

Fiona can be rather vain. He feels his best when he looks his best and vice versa. His looks was the one thing he had been consistently proud of himself for. Even when he was closeted, his prettiness was a source of comfort for him. It also results in him feeling less deserving of sex and when he doesn’t feel pretty. But, generally, Fiona finds himself very very handsome. It takes a lot for him to find himself ugly for any reason tbh

Rin does take pride in certain parts of her, especially her eyes! But she doesn’t really see herself as pretty or cute or, in general, attractive. sebastian strongly disagrees. As result, she doesn’t really tie sex to beauty like Fiona does. Sure, beautiful things can be sexy but not all sexy things are beautiful, so neither does she have to be.

1. Does your OC have a Best Friend? If they do then how long have they known each other and how did they meet? If they don't then do they have a close group of friends they love equally? Or are they more of a loner?

Hrm, I don’t think Fiona has a lot of super close friends like that. He’s the sort of man to be in everyone’s personal circle but without a single person in his. This is because for someone to be his best friend, they’d have to make it past the walls surrounding him and his past (something it took Gabe ages to do) and Fiona cannot have that. He has the look of picture-perfectness and he will fight tooth and nail not to mar it in anyone else’s mind.

Rin has Madison!! They aren’t exactly best friends, but they are incredibly close in a way that qualifies them for this question I think. They got close towards the end of Rin’s first year at Hartfeld and only grew closer during the every subsequent year. I do struggle a little on whether or not they stay close after college because I can see both things happening. Rin and Madison are from incredibly different social classes and once they both graduate from Hartfeld, their one commonality disappears. …But also, I would like to see a qpr that survives college yanno? Rin deserves it. Regardless of what happens, I’m sure they’ll remain special to each other even when they no longer talk.

Fiona did not grow up with any siblings. He did live in a tight knight community though so a lot of his cousins felt like siblings anyway. Unfortunately, Fiona was the “golden child” and I do think he was a little ostracized for it. Though, in all honesty, child him was a jerk that current Fiona wouldn’t wanna associate with either.

Rin didn’t grow up with siblings or other children her age. I think she sometimes wonder how she’d be different if she had a younger her sibling to look after or… if she had someone looking out for her. I don’t think it’s something she likes to dwell on often because she can’t really stop herself from wondering if her theoretical older sibling would’ve abandoned her too….

5. Is your OC able to love without necessarily needing or expecting reciprocation or reward? Or are all their relationships to some extent transactional? Have they ever loved another person unconditionally, whether a child or another adult?

For Fiona, this is a hard no. Fiona does not love unconditionally. He wants affection in return, he wants to know you like him (at the very least). He needs to know that he isn’t the only person pouring energy into a relationship. I think Fiona does a lot for the people he loves. It’s not so much that he requires love in return but that he needs to keep going. He actively makes the choice to love and needs that bank refills, yanno?

For Rin, the answer is: yes. Kind of. Her affection is slow and steady. She’s ready to wait years, leaning only on the knowledge that she cares for you but love is not infinite; at some point —especially if you manage to get closer to her: it will run out without reciprocation.

1. Does your OC wish to make the world a better place? How far do they see that as being their responsibility? What lengths would they go to in order to help achieve this?

Fiona does not have that grand of a goal. He helps where he can and he can do a lot. He’s never going to say no to making the world a better place to live in, but I doubt he considers it a primary goal in life.

Rin does consider it a goal in life. I think she sees her first responsibility is to the community so she’s often involved with community service groups. Whether it’s elder care, child care, or picking up trash, things that make the local community an easier place to live in for everyone is right up Rin’s alley. She supplements community service with activism and the danger that can come with.

2. Is your OC particularly skilled at flirting? Have they had to practice this or does it just happen naturally?

Fiona | Yes! It’s more natural than developed, to be honest. He just has a knack for it.

Rin | Kinda! She has to be trying though. She’s pretty direct about her flirts by nature (which is pretty hot tbh) but she can be a little coy when she wants to.

4. Who was your OC's first crush? How do they feel about it now?

Fiona | One of his father’s friend’s sons. Fiona was ~11/12 and said crush was ~15/16, Fiona was absolutely enamored though he didn’t show it. At the time, it was a scary crush for him. It was the first time he really knew that he was queer and that terrified him. Nowadays, Fiona doesn’t think about him all too much. When he does, sometimes it hurts; sometimes it doesn’t.

Rin | Hasn’t ever had a crush. Isn’t particularly curious as to what having one would feel like.

5. What seduction techniques are most likely to be effective when it comes to your OC? Are there some things guaranteed to get them going? Or are they immune to such things?

Fiona - I think Fiona is especially susceptible to coyness and feigned innocence. It’s the small things: letting a finger linger too long, making double entendres with casualty, and leaving him wondering if you meant to or not. Half of the fun is in the game, y’know?

Rin - Rin prefers a direct approach. Tell her, in no shy terms, that you want her. She’s more of the service top than anything so telling (or showing!) her exactly what hat you want her to do to you gets her so riled up. The franker you are with her, the better!

5. What importance or value does your OC attach to marriage? Do they believe that it is important to make a public statement of commitment to another person (or persons)? Or are they more concerned about inheritance rights and security for their family? Or do they not see marriage as a necessary signifier of commitment and loyalty?

Fiona | He’d always imagine that he’d get married (to a woman and have children) and it was such a certainty that he never thought of whether or not he’d want to. Marriage is a funky thing for Fiona. It has high cultural importance and, I think, Fiona would like to be married. But he doesn’t attach many romantic values to it. He sees it more as duty and responsibility. A husband is not a boyfriend.

Rin | Thinks of marriage more along the lines of duty than feelings but she would need a strong bond with someone and trust in their ability to be a good partner before considering getting married. I don’t think she necessarily likes the idea of being married. It feels… fake? Like she’s being lured into a trap.

1. Does your OC have a healthy sense of their own worth and value? Or do they see themselves as failing to live up to their original potential? Perhaps they are convinced of their own sinful or inadequate nature?

Fiona has a potent mix of cultural and religious trauma (and a little internalized queerphobia), not that he acknowledges it. He sees himself as a failed son, first and foremost. He’s not manly enough, he’s not straight, he’s didn’t endure his parents, he hasn’t returned to repent. Fiona fakes a lot of the confidence he has. He’s really good at it too. Sometimes he fools himself but confidence is a poor mask for self-confidence.

Rin has to. She has to have a good sense of self. No one else around her could be bothered to give her some other sense of self.

4. Which of your OC's qualities makes them the most proud? Do they think more people should be like them in this regard? Or do they quite like being rare in possessing?

I've been collecting all your vocaloid recommendations in one place, so everyone can take a listen!

And if like me you knew nothing about vocaloid before that nuclear discourse, maybe you'll find a hidden gem you wouldn't have found otherwise! <3

Thought I'd add to the Vocaloid discourse by pointing out that several "irl" bands actually started out by using vocaloids. You can find a few who talk about it in the Hatsune Miku live concerts (super cool use of holo developed for those too!). That's really the crux of what sets vocaloid apart from much of the machine discourse; it's CREATED oppourtunities for small musicians instead of taking it away. Specifically by not just supplying a synthetic voice program to work with, but by tying a star identity to each voicebank that makes people more willing to explore obscure artist music. It also distincts the works made by the vb's from the artists who were paid to voice them, so you can't make them say things that sounds like you're putting bad takes in the original artist's mouth. Everyone knows and understands it's a fake version for the purpose of artistic creativity, not an attempt to steal the voice of the original singer.

speaking about the vocaloid debate- they haven't submitted the playlist yet, but if they listened to English songs using Japanese/Chinese/other voicebanks then it'll inherently sound a little off. different languages and different voicebanks have different pronunciations needed for speech, and are thus recorded for the voicebank. use a Japanese voicebank for an English song and you won't get the right words pronounced right, or you'll get an accent, etc etc.

also some vocaloids only have one or two voicebanks and that's it. Big Al only has one (i might be wrong on that, but i know his is for V2 software), whereas Hatsune Miku has every single voicebank made over the years (V1-V5) and has versions made to sing in Japanese, Chinese, and English. she has so, so much more variety than other vocaloids and can be more fluent and clear compared to lesser known vocaloids.

and since we're sharing favorite vocaloid songs to convert the submitter, here's two of mine because i have too many favorites to share:

really funny hearing the take about how vocaloids/voice synths can't have singing styles when there's multiple voice synths explicitly modelled after particular styles. prima (opera), sachiko (enka), and maiko hakaine (screamo metal) are just the ones i can list off the top of my head. and even if a voice synth isn't modelled after a singing style, they can still be tuned that way!

anyway, for song recommendations! gothic and loneliness is breathtaking (it's also a nightmare in project diva lol)
