Hey! I wa wondering if you had/knew of any tutorials that focus on Autodesk Sketchbook? I got it bc its free but am struggling with coloring and some other features

Hi Anon!

Great question!

A lot of digital art programs are similar, but the UI for each one tends to be really different.

Autodesk is a fun one, and I recommend customizing your workspace so it works best for you.

The quickest way to learn a UI is to spend some time just playing around! Sketchbook has a lot of gestures in its UI, so tap and drag on the pucks and play around to see what each thing does.

When you first start coloring, pick a brush and go for full opacity, I find working at mostly full opacity for the entirety of painting works really great. It might seem harder, but you have better edge control and value transitions.

Beginner's Guide to Digital Art First, check out our comprehensive Beginner’s Guide to Digital Art. It's packed with tips, tricks, and insights that will not only help you with Sketchbook but also with digital art in general.

Kaeya doesn't mind if you're just a genuine flirt. He trusts you fully and knows that you aren't doing it with the intention of something else happening with the recipient and he can also see the differences between you flirting with him versus somebody else.

When you tell him that you do it to make him feel good he's even more flattered. It's clear to him that you reserve your best lines for him and only him, and knowing that you do it specifically to bring a smile to his face just makes him that much happier when you do tell him a lone.

He laughs a little when you tell him you won't be consistent, kissing your cheek and telling you that you don't have to be for him to know that you do care about him a lot.

Kaeya absolutely has asked you to marry him when drunk. The amount of it goes up proportionally to how close he is to purchasing the ring/how close it is to the actual proposal. the way this answer helped me is like, it helped me realize i dont need to be so regimented i dont need to put all this pressure on myself to create..All that does is feed into self inflicted guilt when i cant live up to my own expectations u.u you see for my whole life i've never been able to plan anything. yes i can think about the next steps i want to take, i can assemble a plan, i can see the logical way forward, but my moods. or like, idek. how to explain..

i cant force anything. if im not feeling it, i cant force it. ive STRUGGLED w this like i dont wanna be this way. because my feelings i cant predict. like for example i worked on music all winter because thats what i was feeling. then suddenly in march i just like, wasnt feeling it all of a sudden. As soon as it hit me i was like Fy767*T&UG*** because i didnt know when it was gonna come back. i still dont know!! im just trying to be patient waiting it out..in the mean time i have suddenly become enthused with drawing again after not ~feeling~ drawing for most of 2023. sometimes i go for weeks where i dont take a single photo and then suddenly it starts flowing again.. my website was also left untouched for most of 2023 until recently.

thats just one example of this repeating pattern in my life that i didnt understand for so long. theres years of my 20s where i couldnt feel passion for anything at all, looking back now i believe those times i was meant to be focusing on stuff in my psyche that needed healing to clear out some headspace for art. and this bjork quote put a lot into perspective it showed me how to reformulate my thinking to be more accomodating to my disposition. when i'm patient & kind w myself, take each day as it comes, let go of the imaginary pressure, let go of "the future", stuff starts to come thru easier.

and maube its gonna show up in ways you dont expect but its true that the mundane world offers so many ways to practice being creative & giving u stuff to weave into the art u want to create.. every water fall starts w a single drop its trueits true :] thats my advice i spose i really didnt meant to write this much but im boooored.. actually my nighttime boredom writing is one of those habits i never considered to b creative until very recently. there's so many small & automatic things we do that can lead to a meaningful life & purpose.

Olivia calls out with hands cupped around her mouth, hoping the airhead would finally, finally hear her.

Accepting her offer to go to the beach was the absolute worst idea, yet she still fell for those pleading large blue eyes. "I'll be safe because you, my bodyguard, will be there with me, Olivia!" "Magical Disciples don't go to the beach, Olivia!"

Olivia gives up on shouting, resorting to rubbing the bridge of her nose in vain attempts to soothe her headache instead. At least the sun just has set which means that 1) being in her adult form means she can finally reach Alice's head to give it a deserving bonk 2) the beach is getting emptier! somewhat. Screw those late-beach enjoyers still making the Alice search harder.

Olivia recalls all the trouble she had to go through to keep Alice safe today.

Getting her hat pushed down until it covers her eyes, Alice makes a troubled, pouty sound as a reaction to being bullied like that.

When I first saw yibo’s new single poster I thought it’s similar to nian poster and same artist did the both. We turtles believe that zhan did his previous single posters right?? But a designing agency claimed to do it this time. Previous years it didn’t happen right??

I want to know your view on this. Do you think zhan really designed previous years stuff?? Why it’s different this time?? No body claimed to do previous covers??

I've got a much longer post about GG's design for DD in my drafts, but who knows when I'm ever going to get around to finishing it? 😅

My understanding is that no agency has claimed the new cover image design, what they claimed was the teaser animation that was posted online, but since I haven't been online much lately I might have missed something.

In terms of the other single covers, I believe GG did Rules of My World and Nian at the very least. In the case of Rules of My World, it has GG's mark all over it, and I think GG is the kind of guy to rifle through DD's phone for selfie outtakes to put on the cover.

In the case of Nian, again all the creative work around that release just screams 'GG designed me', both stylistically and thematically.

I'm not as sure about the new cover. It doesn't scream GG as much as the others, but it still looks like something he might have done. I'm not as convinced with this one as I am with the others.

I have said this before - while there are thousands and thousands of artists and designers who could do design work for DD, there's really only one on the planet who wouldn't jump at the chance to make their involvement well known publicly. (GG).

The fact that no one has claimed a work that was designed for DD isn't 'proof' that GG designed it, but it's definitely 👀.

However in this particular case, I really don't know. It's a bit less distinctive than the other designs, which makes it a lot harder to identify as reflecting a particular person's style. Maybe more work will emerge to make things clearer in the coming days.

So at this point I'm not sure, but one thing is certain: I'm VERY EXCITED for DD's single!

Just a reminder that this is all CPN. Ultimately we don't know who designed most of this stuff.

EDIT: The raindrop image above is not the cover, it's a teaser image. A lot of people - myself included - have been thrown off by that and confused.

Apparently the actual (as yet unreleased) cover design was not done by the studio. So we will have to wait and see if that design has any signs of being done by GG when it's released.

Nagisa rests his arms and head on the rock facing the bustling village. Observing the many merchants carry large boxes of produce to sell. However, the main reason why he was there was to see a certain human, more specifically a fisher, he was ever curious to know more about them.

Today was special, he was going to finally get to know more about this fisher. So, at the crack of dawn, Nagisa swam to the shallow waters near the shore.

Upon your arrival, he stuck his head slightly out of the water, mumbling a little hello.

“HUH??” you shriek, taking a double take. A man in the water? Looking closer, you saw the shimmering tail that flapped slowly in the water. So a merman…

Noticing your alarm, he raised one of his arms and attempted to explain himself. “You see, I recently came to the surface of the water to observe human behaviours. And you seem approachable (and rlly pretty)”.

Slightly calming down after hearing his explanation, you asked “what’s your name? What do you want to know, I’ll try my best to answer” sitting down on one of rocks along the shoreline.

Nagisa thought hard for a conversation topic, playing with the ends of his long, silvery hair. Finally, he answered “my name is Nagisa Ran, and you can start by telling me… what do humans do at that village over there?” He was pointing at the crowds of people amongst the many stalls.

“Oh! That’s the wet market, many people go there to buy food and today is Sunday, so it’s especially busy today!” Trying your best to explain. Now you were curious, who was this merman, you didn’t even know they existed until today!

You asked him about himself and he replied “oh there isn’t much to know, in fact its quite boring down there in the ocean. The only thing interesting is hearing the silly squabbles between my friends.”

Giggling, you continued to ask more questions and vice versa. The conversation continued on, nevermind that it wasn’t on the topic of mermaids or humans, until you heard the incoming footsteps from the village. Other fishers were coming!

You quickly ended the conversation and whispered in his ear “until tomorrow, I’ll meet you here, same timing”.

He nodded and swiftly ducked down back under the surface of the water. On the way down deeper into the sea, he anticipated the next meeting, not even noticing the light dust of pink on his cheeks. Who knows why he left the surface knowing more about you than humans in general.

Everyday, he returns with small little trinkets. Usually a little sea shell, shimmering with it magnificent colours or a rock that he found at the bottom of the ocean.

You bring him little snacks from the wet market! “So you’re telling me that this packet of seaweed biscuits is the same as this slimy, wet thing?” “Yup!”

He talks about his friends a lot. U practically know everything about them, without having to meet them. About the a green haired, bright and social Hiyori, the ever polite Jun and the incredibly sly Ibara. Little do you know, he talks a lot about you to them too!

Please get this man a comb. The first time you wanted to comb his hair, he gave you a literal fork that was thrown into the ocean. Or if you prefer you could just use your fingers?

Soon the questions that he asks you start to morph into “do you think my tail looks good today?” “Do you like anyone from the village?” It’s quite obvious he caught a crush.

“ would you be opposed to loving someone? Like romantically?” He asks out of the blue. You shake your head at his question.

Hesitating slightly, “how about me?” To be honest, you were stumped when he asked that question. You both knew a long time ago, that this need to have a daily talk could no longer hide under the guise of “curiosity to know about human behaviours”.

Plastering a kiss on his wet forehead, you muttered, “I’m not opposed to it. But for now, I’ll come daily to see you and I hope you will too!”

thinking about lucifer x niffty lately, a crackship but it has potential!!

niffty getting her ultimate badboy to punish, and sad lucifer missing his wife finally gets his mind off of it. swapped a tall woman for a tiny little gremlin. total opposite of his taste

i hc luci as a switch, no way that after millions of years he'd stick to only one role. and niffty likes both recieving and giving pain! so they do so so much different things together!! they have the kinkiest sex ever!!

(also with her lucifer can finally feel tall...)

he'd be a bit freaked out by her at the beginning, he seen and did a lot being the king of hell, and lilith genuinely loved him and discussed everything beforehand. while niffty ran around and yelled "IM GONNA PUNISH A BAD BOY!!" chasing him around. but he would learn to enjoy it :)

in return he'd fuck her in his full demon form, she'd be sooo into getting ruined like that. he could maul her and she'd be delighted by that.

tho it always end with him looking like he fought a bear with bare hands, while she's smiling and not a single scratch on her the morning after ^_^

they could also be cute and share their creative works with eachother (listen, like most of the fandom im a firm "niffty writes fanfic" believer. who cares that it was one joke at a random livestream. niffty fic writer.). i think luci would dabble in all creative arts living for so long, he definitely written something at least once. so they could brainstorm together, tho he'd draw a line at any fanfic with charlie. big nono. luci would show her his ducks, he'd make a roach-duck and be horrified by niffty maniacally stabbing it.

but! imagining niffty normal is hard, so just think about the fucking. putting all that angelic power to good use, able to conjure up any toy or equipment imaginable!! or great powerful king of hell letting himself be dominated by a tiny feral sinner. oughh it's so lovely to think abt... i hope u see my vision... i <3 ships that dont make sense.

(btw these thoughts were sparked by "ET TU, ALASTOR?" by spoondrifts on ao3. it's great and luci SHOULD fuck everyone!!!)

Do you guys remember my One Piece Hues event? It took inspiration from the Huevember Challenge, a drawing challenge in which you post a total of 30 drawings (one per day), during the month of November, each with a different hue from the colour wheel. SO it turns out November is just a month away, and I’d love to do this challenge once again! But I’m turning in into an event cause its way more fun

So, welcome to 🌈 One Piece Hues part 2  🌈

What’s all of this about?

I will make a total of 30 drawings from different One Piece characters, posting one a day during November. What characters? You choose! My requests will be open from right this moment till the 31st of October (GMT+2). Last time, I asked you to send me characters AND colours from a colour wheel, but to spice things up, this time the colour will be chosen AT RANDOM, spin the wheel style. Also, Im not telling you what colour your character landed on! 

The final product will be a drawing of a One Piece character you chose, but instead of a portrait (like I did last time), this time I’ll let the randomizer choose the colour palette to set the mood! Also, I’ve tweaked a little with the colours to get a diffrent colour wheel.

- November has 30 days, so only 30 slots available!

- You can send me an ask with up to three different characters and I’ll choose one.

- First come, first served! Once a character is picked, its gone! Thats why I encourage you to send me 3 different characters! 

-  A little side note: if your request was off anon and you sent me 3 characters that are all already picked, I’ll save your slot and contact you so you can choose another character!

- I’ll prioritize off anon asks
