I'm going to be an oddball and switch between Japanese & English VAs when I find it relevant. Also my order's gonna be based on how strongly I think the headcanon works. I'll also try to provide examples for the angle I'm going for

Tetsuo Tsutsumi Japanese: Option 1 - Akio Otsuka (Executioner from Akudama Drive). Option 2 - Jouji Nakata (Osvald from Octopath Traveler 2) English: Option 1 - Jamieson Price (Malik Caesar from Tales of Graces F). Option 2 - Jason Douglas (Kishibe from Chainsaw Man)

Middle aged men characters are my specialty so really it depends on the delivery you want. Richard Epcar (Ace from 999) could also work for English as well as Bill Butts (Ciocolotta from Jojo part 5)

Makoto Ashimiya/Fumichika Nejima Japanese: Kenjiro Tsuda (Ogata from Golden Kamuy...and also Kishibe from Chainsaw Man). Katsuyuki Konishi could also be a good example but I can't really think of an old man character. I guess Takehito Koyasu could also work? But like this is THE most TsudaKen looking motherfucker I've ever seen English: Joe J. Thomas (Nobunaga Hazama from Hunter x Hunter). His "So I did" line really cemented this casting choice tbh.

Richter Kai Japanese: Shiniciro Miki (Kisuke Urahara from Bleach) English: For this, it depends again on the delivery you want. I originally wanted Doug Erholz (maybe not like Vega from Street Fighter), but upon closer inspection, Ray Chase (Uzui Tengen from Demon Slayer) might be a better pick.

Harue Shigima English: Laura Post (Empress from A Hat in Time) Japanese: Kikuko Inoue (Rhea from Fire Emblem Three Houses)

An excitable character that I think can work great with the right delivery.

I feel like a flat delivery that still has an air of intimidation would work best for him.

Mayu Chozawa English: Option 1 - Tara Sands (Sonya from Fire Emblem Echoes); Option 2 - Cristina Vee (Velvet from Tales of Berseria). Amanda C. Miller (Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon) is also a good pick along with Heather Gonzalez (Cherche from Fire Emblem Heroes) Japanese: Miyuki Sawashiro (Kyoko Honda from Fruits Basket). Nana Mizuki could also work, though I sadly can't think of a role off the top of my head

Going for the woman who grew up a punk vibe

Yutaro Namigaki Japanese: Jun Fukuyama (Draluc from Vampire Dies in No Time) English: It's tempting to put Xander Mobus for the total Joker Persona 5 duology but ehhhhh. It depends on the delivery again. Brian Beacock (Luthier from Fire Emblem Echoes) or Steve Staley (Hubert from Tales of Graces F) could also work tbh. Maybe Lucien Dodge (Waver Velvet from Fate/Zero)

Ayame Touno English: Faye Mata (Amame from AI: The Somnium Files) Japanese: Rie Kugimiya (Rise from Persona 4)

The voices contrast each other, but I think each one compliments the kind of character Ayame is.

Storyteller Japanese: Hochu Otsuka (Tsurumi from Golden Kamuy) English: TBD

Here's where I'm starting to think about 1 solid casting and kinda improvising for the second one. I think the Storyteller changes voices depending on the mask they wear, so for this old man mask, an old man they shall sound like.

Makoto Furukawa (why did I think Ronaldo from Vampire Dies in No Time??) could also work English: I think this will depend on the delivery. Do you want him more cowardly? I kinda see David Vincent tbh (Henri from Iruma-kun)

Hajime Yoshimi English: He could be another potential Patrick Seitz role, but I want to avoid double casting as much as possible. Japanese: Subaru Kimura (Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen)

Hitomi Okuda Japanese: Ai Farouz (Jolyne Kujo from JJBA) English: Option 1 - Laura Stahl (Alear from Fire Emblem Engage); Option 2 - Erica Mendez (can't think of a role off the top of my head)

Hi! Can I get a deviation of a Cinderella AU with Xander and a Female Corrin? Like, Corrin just walks into the ballroom during a Nohrian party not knowing if she came to the right place. Since she seems so lost, she inevitably stands out or something idk adsfwobjaidn

Corrin, being part of Hoshido royal family had to get through a lot of barriers to get to the Nohrian ball.

Her family is overprotective, ever since she almost got kidnapped at a young age she wasn't allowed outside.

Not only that, Nohr and Hoshido weren't on friendly terms either... But Corrin couldn't help but want to go.

Fortunately a certain dragon who was rescued by the princess some time ago was by her side.

Lilith heard her desperate calling and decided to help her. That's the least she could do for Corrin.

Considering the fact that Corrin stayed in the castle her entire life nobody from the outside knew what she looked like. But just to be cautious Lilith made sure she couldn't be recognized even by her siblings right away.

There was a little magic involved and the final touch were glass shoes... Although Corrin didn't like that final touch to be exact, she still put them on to honor the dragon's effort.

After getting ready she needed to sneak out, which would be a hard part if Lilith wasn't there to help.

Corrin wasn't exactly on time, but she also knew limits of Lilith's magic. She didn't complain about having less time though, she was grateful that she could at least come. Not only that she'd probably have to get going by midnight either way considering she had to be home before anyone noticed her being gone.

She had no idea how to dance so at the start she was observing how others did it.

She didn't have enough time to look before she got invited to dance. She had no idea that who asked her was none other than prince Xander.

He noticed her some time ago and wondered why she was standing all alone. And as he wanted everyone to enjoy the party he decided to step in.

Needless to say he was surprised when she asked him for his name. He started wondering where did she come from. Still he gave her his name, hoping she'd do the same.

She wasn't sure if it was his charming face or was it her panic of being found out but she froze up.

He waited for her answer patiently, but he thought that if she was this nervous around him it'd be better if he left her alone and ask Elise to warm her up to the ball instead.

Before he could do just that, Corrin apologized. She didn't explain her silence, and she didn't give him her name in the end. Instead she changed the topic.

They decided to continue their conversation while dancing. She did warn him about not being able to dance, and he thought it was a good opportunity for her to learn.

She had troubles especially because she wasn't used to the shoes but she knew how to follow up well.

Yet still, her being nervous didn't help her much and Xander could see that. Since he was rather interested in her he asked if she wanted to go somewhere else if the crowd bothered her.

Even though she had fun dancing, she thought it was a good idea to take a break.

Xander leaving the ballroom didn't go unnoticed as both of his sisters saw him leave. They definitely were going to ask him some questions about the girl he was leaving with for sure.

At the courtyard they had a very pleasant walk. Unfortunately he didn't learn much of her origins or where he could find her.

He didn't expect to fall for her this quickly, but that's just how love works: it shows up when you least expect it.

But as he was about to ask if they could meet again, Corrin noticed the time and panicked. She thanked him for the wonderful time but she had to go.

He didn't want to stop her from leaving so she could stay longer, he just wanted to know how he can find her again.

Corrin however was in a rush, so she couldn't even stop to gather her thoughts. She couldn't even tell him if she wanted to, at least that's how she felt about it. She ended up just running away.

At the stairs one of her shoes feel off and after she got off the stairs she took off the other one.

Xander yelled after her and all she said that she was sorry and that she couldn't tell him anything about her home.

After hearing that he let her go. He thought it meant she didn't wanted to spend more time with him and their fun was very much one sided.

It was a shame but he decided to respect her wishes. As he was walking back he had noticed that she left her shoe.

So he had an excuse to see her again... But he had no idea where to look for her. As he didn't recognize him as Royalty she could be from outside Nohr entirely... He could only wonder where she went off to.

Fortunately she got to Hoshido on time. Just as she entered her room, all of the magic stopped working. All that was left was the shoe she was holding.

In the meantime Elise kept asking Xander questions about the pretty lady who he spent most of the time with.

She got quite pouty when her brother told her that he doesn't know much about the lady. But she decided to help him find her.

So they ended up thinking about it together, to be honest by the fact that Elise was so eager to help with it made him have some hope... But he just couldn't stop thinking whether Corrin wanted to see him or not.

In the end they ended up thinking about each other almost every night wondering if they will ever meet once again...

Don’t Be Silly

“Don’t be silly, princess.”

“I'm not being silly.” She replied stubbornly.

“Yes. You are.” He replies, still using a playful voice.

“How exactly am I being silly?” Corrin asks looking away. She rests her head in her palm. She listens as he hums. It was the only sound she could hear from their spot on the hill. They had been doing this for a few days now. Sneaking off together to get away from everyone else. A break in between all the fighting and drama that war and life cause.

“Is making a crown of flowers, not something a silly person would do?” Xander asks as Corrin rubs her thumb over one of the said flowers. She had made several crown and bracelets in the hours they had spent here. It was a habit from her childhood.

“Elise taught me how to make them when we were children. In the fort where I grew up, there were few flowers. She would on the rare occasion bring flowers with her and teach me in my room after my training sessions with you. So perhaps it is a little silly, but they bring me fond memories.” Corrin says with a smile. She notices the look of surprise on Xander’s face.

“To be honest I was not expecting such a serious response to my teasing. I had thought she simply brought those as a means to brighten up the depressing place. She would oft remark about how devoid of colors it was.” Xander adds as he looks down at the small circles of flowers. Corrin picks the largest one up and sets it upon his head.

“There you go. Now you look like a true king of Nohr.” She giggles. Xander looks back down at the ground to try and hide his blushing face. His eye catches on a crown by his hand. It was slightly smaller than his own but far bigger than many of the others.

His fingers carefully lace around the wreath. She watches him as he sets the crown upon her own head. “Now you look as a true queen of Nohr. As you should.” Xander smiles down at her. He was happy to see she was now blushing even more than he had been. The way the red tinted her cheeks as if rose petals had fallen on them. Her eyes glinting with happiness and radiating a deep colored feeling. Now he was sure.

“You are truly beautiful,” Xander says purposely. The words not tumbling out as he had always feared they would. He said them with a purpose. A purpose he had always meant to express to her. Now was the perfect chance.

“Top teasing me Xander,” Corrin says with a nervous laugh as she playfully pushes Xander away. “We both know I shall never be a queen of Nohr. That title shall be for your wife.” Xander could feel his face grow hotter but he could not back down now. He had to tell her while he could.

“I know Corrin.” He begins.

“Now who’s being silly?”

His courage is gone. His chance lost. So Xander smiles and laughs nervously. “I suppose I am.” He agrees and they return back to the peaceful silence they were sharing before.

but imagine if xander and kamui were in love before the revelation, the war, before everything - obviously somehow it is known that they are not siblings, maybe garon just never pretended that kamui was one of his children - but leo loved her from a distance. overmore, leo knew that xander loved kamui first and that she loved xander and leo loved them both enough to be satisfied that those he cherished most in the world are happy together.

then, to leo's horror, kamui tells him that she is with xander's child. he holds her as she asks him what will become of them if garon found out. leo cannot tell.

before anything is done, kamui gets taken by the hoshidans and, to everyone’s heartbreak, decides to side with them. so skippity skip to the soul crushing moment when kamui has to kill xander. she’s crying, he’s crying, everyone is crying. they beg each other to back down and it would have happened if not for the the arrival of garon, which compels xander to complete his mission. kamui mortally wounds xander. during xander's final moments, kamui tells xander about their child before -

xander dies.

garon's sanity (whatever is left) breaks ubder the grief and attempts to kill kamui, knelt with xander's body in her arms. he does not succeed and is finally defeated.

the war ends, but the struggle is not over.

after the war, hoshido and nohr decide to broker a political marriage in order to stabilise the very fresh and very new peace between them especially since siegbert, a prince of both kingdoms by heritage, has equal and rightful claim to both thrones. seeing as camilla abdicated after the loss of elise, leo was crowned king of nohr.

ryoma asks kamui if she would be willing to marry leo, as sakura and hinoka are otherwise occupied or unable to. kamui accepts, partly because she know that the marriage will be her chance to stabilise siegbert's future, providing him the things that were lost to her.

back in nohr, leo is torn apart by grief over the death of two of his siblings and the pressure of suddenly being thrust into a role he did not want. when the emissary from hoshido arrives, it takes an embarrassingly short time for leo and his loneliness to accept the marriage proposal. he waits in his castle after the emissary leaves, dealing with the fact that he's about to become the father of his dead brother's child and the guilt of loving kamui - a traitor and someone who wasn’t ever really meant for him either.

and that's how things are left. kamui is still in love with xander, a new mother, hated by the nohrians, and trusted by no one. she has xander’s blood on her hands but also his child - a match that could very easily set this whole paper peace aflame. leo, bitter and afraid, doesn’t know what to do with either nohr or kamui. he desperately loves her, never stopped truthfully, but feels betrayed by her hand in xander’s fate.

all i know is that leo doesn't know where to look when she finally does come back to nohr, siegbert cradled in her handmaiden's arms.

Speak Now, a tentative Jokamu Fic WIP

WARNING! Angst,romance, possible spoilers

Plot: After the war has ended, Xander is expected to take a wife and asks his ‘little princess’ to become his queen. Corrin reluctantly agrees and Jakob, despite the pain of his lady marrying another, continues to serve Corrin to the best of his abilities. Will these two oblivious dorks admit their feelings to each other on the morning of Corrin’s marriage or will they be forced to hide their affections forever?

A/N: I came up with this idea after reading a few angsty Jokamu fics earlier and figured the only way it would come to fruition would be to write it myself due to the lack of activity it seems there is atm with this ship and fandom in general.

Lemme know if this is something you’d like me to continue with and finish, if anyone is interested. I haven’t written fanfiction in a LONG time so I’m pretty rusty. And yes I did use the name of a Taylor Swift song for a fanfic because I am not that creative ^^;

Jakob swallowed hard and his eyes became glassy; feeling his steely resolve weakening from the inside. This sounded an awful lot like how Corrin would confess her love to him in his dreams at night.

But Jakob found his inner strength to remain professional, just as he always had, and cleared his throat. "It has been an honor, milady. I hope to serve you and your new... husband... with the same dedication as always..." he replied, almost squeaking the word. He then bowed and brought her beautiful, surprisingly soft, strong yet delicate left hand to his lips. The butler savored the moment a few seconds longer than what was proper yet he couldn't bring himself to care. The woman he had loved and devoted himself to since he was a child was marrying another man. He had to lock this moment away; the final few moments when she was still his to care for.

When Jakob finally tore himself away, he missed the pained expression reflected on Corrin's face as he gave a curt nod of the head and hurried towards the door.

On both sides of the wall, hearts were breaking. As soon as she heard the door click closed, Corrin let the tears fall freely from her eyes. It wasn't that she didn't love Xander or thought him unattractive...It was quite the contrary actually. She could remember days in her youth when she was unaware of the truth of her relationships with her siblings where she would gaze at Xander and find herself secretly jealous of the woman who would someday steal her beloved big brother away from her. But all that aside, no matter how handsome or kind or generous Xander was, those things could never replace the bond and memories Corrin had made with a certain servant boy with shining silver hair.

To Protect her Brothers

For Corrianderweek, Day 7: Children Answering these requests with it too~ Though she isn’t as ‘little’ as intended, sorry about that ^^;

Peace has ruled over Nohr and Hoshido for so long, the war could only be read about in the textbooks. An entire new generation grew up without the fear of having their able-bodied taken, or their houses requisitioned.

Still, Nohr's First Princess has had the same goal ever since she was young: to protect her brothers in whatever duties they perform for the good of the realm -- and to be the right hand of the next King, her older brother Siegbert. She longed to be captain of his guard; to deliver his judgement towards all corners of the land and spread peace in honor of him.

Her short, blonde hair bounced right under her pointy ears as she walked through the corridors towards the breakfast room. "Good morning, Papa! Good Morning, Mama." The young woman said, placing a kiss over both King and Queen's foreheads.

Xander welcomed the caress, but still spoke with a stern voice. "Katerina..."

The princess giggled, taking her usual seat, one chair away from her Father. "C'mon, Papa," Katerina said without losing her smile, "I always call you 'Father properly in court, don't I?"

The King smiled at his youngest, though his frown remained. "That you do. I just pray that you do not get carried away by habit. Especially now that we are closer than even to your inheriting ceremony."

Katerina opened her mouth to reply, but the sound of the door opening interrupted her. "Oh, and I cannot wait to pass Bolverk down to her, dear brother." Camilla walked in, Midori by her side. "I'm sure it'll find in you a better wielder than it did in me, darling." She said, pinching Katerina's cheek.

"Thank you, Aunt Camilla." Katerina squeezed her eyes as Camilla's hands pinched her, then added: "But don't say that! I still have so much to learn about fighting over wyverns, and you're the best rider of all Nohr."

The Princess gave a soft laugh, circling the table so as to take her seat, "oh, you're too kind, dearie. But of course I'll teach you anything you wish to know."

At that moment, Crown and Second Princes walked in and Katerina turned her head to them. "Sieggy, Kana! Good morning." She greeted as Siegbert placed a kiss over her head and Kana circled the table to sit beside Kamui.

"Monin', Sis!" Kana said at the same time Siegbert wished a very good morning to everyone and bowed before taking his seat.

Xander always sat at the leftmost corner of the table, Kamui by his left and Siegbert by his right. On the Queen’s left sat the Second Prince Kana, right in front of Katerina herself, who was always next to Siegbert. Beside her would sit her cousin Midori, followed by her mother, Lady Camilla. In front of them would sit Prince Leo, his wife Sakura and their son Forrest. Azura would sit adjacent to Camilla, largely due to the elder princess’ insistence, since neither of their husbands would bring themselves to sit at their liege’s table.

Despite living in Hoshido for years now, Elise would always have a reserved seat at their table.

Without the threat of war hanging over everyone's heads, their mornings could be spent with leisure -- not disregarding their usual duties, of course: Siegbert accompanied Xander in his tasks more often than not, for example. He was, after all, the same age as Xander was when he took the throne after the war ended so many years ago.

Kana studied under Leo so as to learn how to be the King's brother and how to use his power and connections as a Prince to aid the Crown in any way possible.

Katerina was a free spirit, and very much loved to train her body -- in both human and dragon form. She was well-studied and learned well under Kamui and Camilla, but she knew her place was with a weapon in hand to protect her Brothers.

Her days weren't only filled with training and studying, however: She loved to spend time with any one person of her family, and always made sure to MAKE them make time for her, be it for only talking over tea or for simply enjoying each other's presences.

That morning, Kamui was brushing her daughter's hair, wondering which bow to tie on it after she was done. "I wonder if that's how I would've looked like with short hair," the Queen mused, looking at Katerina through the mirror.

The princess looked up to Kamui. "You never had short hair, Mama?"

"I'm afraid so. When I was your age, the style of my hair wasn't really my priority, after all..." She bobbed her head, remembering her teenage days -- ones she spent thinking about her forbidden love.

Katerina leaned on the dresser, placing both elbows over it and resting her chin on her hands. She looked up at her mother through the mirror. "...Was it the war?"

"Oh," Kamui snapped out of her own memories and resumed the brushing, smiling fondly. "Oh, no. My role at the war would only come a few years later. At seventeen I could only think of how hopelessly in love with your father I was."

The princess widened her eyes, her cheeks flushing. "Really?! Tell me more, Mama!" She turned her body toward the Queen, holding her hands. "I've only heard stories about the war, but not so much about your lives before it..."

"Of course," Kamui caressed Katerina's cheek, "come, let us sit so we can talk."

They moved to the divan that was placed beside the dresser, Mother holding daughter's hand on hers.

"Hmmm, where should I begin?" She tilted her head, searching for the many, many memories she and Xander had shared together.

"... You said you loved Papa since you were my age?" Katerina gulped, thinking she was delving into forbidden territory by asking such personal question... but it was so thrilling to hear! Her brave Mother and Father before they were so. How were they in the past? She could hardly imagine one without being with the other, after all.

"Oh, posh," Kamui gestured, dismissing Katerina's statement. "I was in love with him since I was a child; it only took me a long time to accept my feelings."

"Accept them, Mama?"

"Why, yes." Kamui nodded, forlorn. "We were raised as siblings and I've always thought my feelings ugly and out of place. How dared I love someone who was caring for me like I was his own blood in such a dirty way?"

Katerina's brow flickered with emotion, gripping at her mother's hand. "Your love isn't dirty, Mother!" She said in a tone higher than intended, calling Kamui more formally than usual in reflex. "I've never seen a love that... that belongs so much like yours and Papa’s..." her voice trailed off, her face reddening due to the sudden outburst.

Kamui took one hand to her mouth in surprise, her daughter's blush contaminating her face as well. "Oh, my child." She booped the princess' nose and lifted her chin with one finger. "Thank you for saying that, hm? I don't think that way anymore -- and haven't been for a long, long time -- but your words matter to me all the same."

Still embarrassed, Katerina looked away from her mother. "It's the truth, though."

The Queen's smile grew as Katerina tried not to laugh, but both ended up giggling after a few moments. "Indeed it is. I can't put it to words the depth of the love I feel towards your father, your siblings and you, my Katie." She once again caressed her daughter's cheek, who tilted her head towards the hand to enjoy it fully.

"Thank you, Mama." Katerina placed her hand over Kamui's, closing her eyes. "I don't know if I can find a love like yours -- or if I want to find one, for that matter. ... But I'm so glad that I'm the daughter of both of you."

"And I'm so very grateful to having a strong, independent and considerate daughter like you, Katie. I'm sure you'll find happiness in whichever path you trail; be it with a loved one by your side, or with your comrades."

Katerina shyly raised her shoulders. "It doesn't feel real that I can love someone like you do Papa... But it's also some sort of inspiration," she said, raising her gaze to the ceiling, as though she could see her future unravelling before her. "I know I have as much passion towards my own goals at the moment."

Kamui nodded, closing her eyes and holding Katerina's hands over her lap. "Which I'm sure you'll be able to accomplish them all with ease, being your Father's daughter and your siblings' sister, after all. But more than that, by being you."

Katerina giggled. "Now you're embarrassing me, Mama!"

"Nonsense!" Kamui laughed, pinching her daughter's nose. "I'm only telling the truth!"

They both laughed, taking the weight off of the princess's shoulder. "Thank you, Mama. Now I feel even more certain that the ceremony tomorrow will go over well."

The Queen smiled fondly at her child. "Of course it will, my Katie. We'll all stand by you. Besides, I'm sure it'll feel like that Bolverk will return to its former master. You grow into the late Queen Katerina everyday, after all."

Katerina closed her eyes and clutched one hand over her chest, remembering the tall picture of the late Queen hanged over the main hall. "May she give me strength."

The ceremony wasn't a public event, though it still had its fair share of attendants: Every bearer of dragon blood as well as their retainers stood by the red carpet inside the throne room -- some of them hoshidans as well.

On top of the stairs, a few steps under the throne in front of which Xander stood, knelt Katerina, wearing a dragon tiara Kamui had given to her on the previous day. The Queen had gotten it on the day they found out she was pregnant with Katerina, and found it only fitting that it was handed down to her on the right time.

In front of the Princess lay Camilla, holding Bolverk with both hands. "This legendary weapon has been passed down in the late Queen's house for generations -- until it fell back to the late King in honor of her name." Camilla spoke in a clear voice, her words reverberating through the hall. "Much like the sword Siegfried, whose master it finds in our current King, Bolverk can only be wielded by the worthy. From my Father, to me. From me, back to the blood of its former master." Camilla handed the giant axe to the Princess, urging her to be on her feet. "If you are not worthy, its weight will be so, you'll immediately drop it on the ground."

Katerina nodded, reaching out to the axe.

"If you are worthy, however, it will be as light as a feather -- it'll deliver it's heaviness and your justice onto your foes instead." She finished, nodding at the nervous princess. "Go on, dear, there's nothing to be afraid of."

Taking a deep breath, Katerina looked to the audience: to her brothers (Kana silently cheered for her, almost jumping; Siegbert only nodded and smiled with confidence), to her mother... then turned her gaze in the opposite direction, to her Father.

Xander nodded solemnly, then smiled.

She was so blessed to have so many people caring for her; believing in her. She wasn't afraid nor nervous anymore.

Katerina took the axe with one hand, lifting it as she held her breath -- and it was so light she almost turned over herself, such was the strength she used. "Oh! It's so light!" She blurted out.

Her cousins and brother Kana laughed in the audience, same as Camilla who hid a giggle. "I'm so proud of you, my dear Katie!" Camilla said, bear-hugging her niece. "Now Bolverk is finally back at where it belongs."

Pride and excitement beating wildly inside her chest, Katerina couldn't contain her smile from widening and her face from reddening. She looked straight at the portrait of the late Queen and bowed. "I'll make you proud, Grandmother. I'll protect my King and brother as well as this realm with everything I have!"

Camilla gives her sister a BIIIIG squeeze before finally letting go with a little hmph noise, holding onto her arms and only letting go to boop Kamui’s nose with her gloved index finger. How cute her little sister was! It made her want to spoil her to death! Maybe literally.

“Aren’t you just the sweetest thing, taking care of me! I should be taking care of you, my widdle Kamui!”

Not that she minds being doted on once in a while. In fact, she encourages it from her siblings, since she’s usually the one doing all the smotheri -- uh, doting. Even with Xander, surprisingly.

“I had SUCH an exhauuuusting day, dealing with the courts all afternoon! I could use a little TLC.”

Happy Birthday Siegbert!

This is my first fanfiction so tell me how it is, by the way, the story takes place mid-Conquest and the mother of Siegbert here is Felicia.

“Siegbeeert! Wake up, birthday boy!” My mother chipperly exclaims. My eyes flutter open to see both of my parents smiling, my father holding a brand new rapier wrapped with a lavish, red ribbon. My mother, on the other hand, holds a tray full of tea, fruit, milk, bread, and an iced coffee. I stare at the empty left side of the bed where my wife, Corrin, laid sleeping the previous night. “Go on, son,” my father commands, snapping me out of my doldrums. “Don’t worry, your Aunt Flora and Jakob made it.” My mother pouts slightly at my father’s comment, but gestures me to take the tray. Gingerly, I get out of bed to take the tray, placing it down on the table. I take a sip of the iced coffee, while my father takes the tea and pours some for himself and my mother. We make idle conversation for a bit, until I hear quick footsteps running up the stairs. It’s Kana’s, isn’t it? I think before the the door slams open and- “HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!” Kana practically yells, holding an artbook in his hands, similar to the ones Corrin and I view on occasion. “Do you like it? Mama said to get you something special, so I picked what I thought was the best one!” His eyes are heavy with expectation, and I happily reply, “Thank you, Kana. Oh, would you like to join us?” I pull up a chair and hand him the glass of milk, using the powers I inherited from my mother to cool it. He takes it, drinking it quickly. Someone knocks at the door, and I get up to open it up, and to my surprise, it is Corrin’s retainer, Jakob, with a small, fragrant letter in his hand. He hands me the letter and says, “Lord Siegbert. Lady Corrin requested me to deliver it to you. She said you should read it, in private. Happy Birthday by the way!” I can feel heat rising to my cheeks as both of my parents and son exit as soon as Jakob do, prompting me to open the letter, cautiously. It reads, “Happy Birthday Sieggy! Meet me in the hot springs tonight at sundown, OK?   Love, Corrin.”

The redness of my cheeks is increasing and only one thought crosses my mind for the next few hours. What in the Dusk Dragon’s name is she planning? I suppose I’ll get my answer later tonight.
