God bless America and all the beautiful women in it —husband!jack schlossberg comfort headcanon's
jack schlossberg fan fiction is for the lovers
WIFE!READER returns and is the orion carloto archetype, who balances modelling and writing, and i imagine her making tiktoks in the same vain of alanabananaxox (she's been my no.1 tiktoker since 2021) and sotce on tiktok.
taglist: @obsessedwithjohnjr @candyneckl6ce @rocker-chick-7 @ultr4v1ol3nt @violetharmonsfavgf @strip-weather-forecast @darcyspirits @fortheloveofjos @h-l-v-kennedy-blog @h-l-vlovesvintage @bluelancergirl @snowsgames @salvatoresablondie @dulcegal @kennedyism @bloxholden35 @kimcrystal123 @absurdlyvintage @jackiesgirl @chemicalw0rld @remotewatch @starsprangledgirl
no matter the stressor husband!jack literally treats it as a top-priority emergency
immediately goes to start a bath for you in your gorgeous copper bathtub (cause of course you have a copper bathtub ... duh) with some suzzane kaufman bath salt's that he picked up down in greenwich after a meeting with vogue's magazine department.
husband!jack is a freak for baths and it's rubbed off on you ... seriously like that man takes baths multiple times a week, on top of daily showers
if he had to be out on a day you were particularly anxious for whatever reason he would come home with a laundry bag of new tasteful yet cute stuffed animals from loewe and never tell you the prices cause he knows you'd crash out
is great at being a body pillow and has no shame just laying in silence together for hours
would try to make you feel better by getting the overpriced (not in your opinion) criterion subscription just so you could watch vintage halloween movies without running a risk of getting hacked on some third-party sketchy website
would 100% let you live in his clothes while he was out of the house so you could feel comforted even if he wasn't physically near
would absolutely try to distract you with light comedy, despite his cockiness he is indeed a funny guy so it helps slightly
husband!jack would be such a proponent of a healthy mind is a healthy body so he'd make you go do jump rope with him (cause why does jump roping have to be so humiliating) or even worse takes you out to paddle board, like imagine your knee-deep in that melancholic state where you only read plath novels and listen to unreleased lana and your boyfriend drags you out to go paddle boarding???? like cmon now
you do feel better afterwards but you would never tell him that
if you guys owned any pets together he would without a doubt tell you he's going to be out for a couple of hours and come back with one of those portrait paintings of house-pets to cheer you up (editors note: vang olsen mimi does the most delightful pet paintings if your in greenwich!)
he would absolutely NOT be above trying to self-medicate your problems (within reason) by smoking w*ed with you or sharing a cigar being the chicest couple ever!
would 100% smother you in delightfully soft cashmere blankets in the pattern of gorgeous tapestries
would earnestly read poems (robert frost, emily dickinson, and shakespeare) to you to get you to sleep on the especially hard days
is a devout optimist and routinely talks you out of your doom scrolling
always holds space for whatever emotions you are feeling but always wants to provide solutions to your problems
and when he encounters a problem he can't so easily fix he invests time into getting your mind off it and plans steps you can take to lessen the hold whatever your stressing about has on you
writes mini impromptu love letters/pep talks on the empty spaces in your agenda notebook (wife!reader would totally own more than 1 of these louise carmen organisers in an apropos shade of autumn scarlet )
encourages you to do self-care rituals with your staple skincare products by letting you do the exact same steps on him
while husband!jack cooks for you both you read him your favourite chapters of "democracy" by joan didion in the kitchen every night and it remains a pillar in your routine despite the tumult
during your hard times jack is serving peak husbandry doing the washing, cooking and cleaning
when he's on his lunch break at the office you get text messages like this:
always makes sure that you take your medication (if you take any) at the exact times its supposed to be at and has little alarms on his phone
husband!jack would increase his acts of service to 1000% like that man would be taking your row boots into the cobbler for a new sole
would bring home flowers without a special occasion, just cause
would without a doubt bring out those STELLAR accents just to see you smile
disclaimer: this is all obviously fiction and i do not know this man nor how he calms anyone down, this is all for some fun distraction in these trying times.
to anyone struggling with the results and its ramifications (same here) i would really encourage you to read this beautiful (free) essay from alanabanaxox on patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/i-miss-dancing-115580140?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_fan&utm_content=web_share

The vast majority of people have scars, and people have a range of feelings about their scars. Some people are proud of their scars, as a sign of their actions and/or survival. Some people are fond of their scars, smiling at ones that have good memories attached. Some people hate their scars because they bring up bad memories, or because the tissue limits their ability to move. Some people are neutral about them, viewing them as just something that happened. Most people's feelings fluctuate depending on which scar they are considering.
What the emotions in the first paragraph have in common is that they are generally associated with the event that caused them, or with the physical effect of the scar. In contrast, anxiety and self-consciousness about scars is almost always caused by the reactions of others.
Some scars are significantly more stigmatized than others. Heart surgery scars, for instance, are usually viewed neutrally, because there is not a major stigma attached to heart surgery and surgery scars usually heal neatly, making a "clean" scar to look at. The usual reason for heart surgery scars causing anxiety and self-consciousness is that on women and people perceived as women, they can be considered a blemish on the chest, disturbing those that feel that women should be decorative at all times.
Burn scars are the stereotypical "ugly" scar. Bad burns can cause severe damage to all layers of the skin, and it can be impossible to restore the skin to the state it was in before. The skin can be wrinkled, warped, and discolored. Burn scars mainly cause anxiety and self-consciousness because of their appearance being considered unsightly at best, and gore at worst. It's particularly hurtful that many people consider those with burn scars to be "a sight not fit for children.", which can result in them avoiding public spaces if they can't cover or disguise their scars. Any kind of "disfiguring" scar can have this reaction to it. Burn scars are just the most well known.
Appearance is not the only reason scars are stigmatized. For instance, scars related to gender affirming surgery, particularly the distinctive ones resulting from top surgery, are stigmatized due to transphobia. Self harm scars, particularly the classic and often recognized ones on the wrists, are stigmatized due to ableism. C-section scars are stigmatized where vaginal birth is considered part of womanhood.*
There are some scars that fall into multiple categories. Acne scars are perhaps the best known example. They are both considered disgusting to look at, and are often considered the fault of the person who has them. The propaganda of the skincare industry has done a remarkable job convincing us of that.
People with scars that people react poorly to often adopt strategies to hide or disguise them. Makeup is commonly used to hide flat scars and ones with only a little texture. For scars that are hard to reach or too raised, clothes are the most common tool used. Scarves, long sleeves and legs, and, more recently, masks, are all useful tools for people who want to hide their scars. Some people seek out permanent solutions for their scars. The two primary permanent solutions are tattoos and cosmetic surgery.
The after school special solution to this is usually "Be proud of your scars, and ignore anyone who says anything about them!". But It is not the fault of people with scars that people react poorly to them, and instructing them to have a more positive attitude does not solve the issue of being refused access to public space and respect as a human being because they did not adequately disguise themselves. Anxiety and self-consciousness are reactions to a hostile situation that are intended to protect you from further harm.
So, what next, then?
Don't belittle or tell off anyone for either their scars OR for hiding or disguising them. How people choose to deal with their scars is their choice, up to and including permanent solutions.
Don't recommend any kind of method to hide or disguise scars to someone who hasn't asked for one, and don't recommend a permanent method to someone currently using a reversible one unless they want one.
Don't stare at or ask about scars unless invited to do so.
Don't avoid looking at someone's scars like they're indecent, or avoid touching them in a situation where you would normally touch another person, like holding hands or hugging. Visible scarring should be treated like you would normally treat that section of someone's body if it was unscarred.
Don't lament how someone's scars could have been avoided, or how much better they looked before they were scarred.
Don't tell people how they should feel about their scars.
If someone else does any of the above, bring up that you thought talking about/to someone like that was rude. If they know the person with scars and that person considers it alright, then the person with scars will usually laugh it off and tell you it's alright. If the person making comments was being rude, then that often shuts up the rude person. Either way, it's useful for clarifying the situation without embarrassing anyone unnecessarily.
If someone is hiding their scars and what they were using to do it is damaged, lost, or stolen, and you can offer something to replace it, make the offer. Do not attempt to put an item on a revealed scar without asking unless you know that person well and know they are okay with you doing that.
In short, be polite.
*These spaces and groups tend to doubly stigmatize c-section scars on people who aren't women, because transphobia and misogyny focused on the body go hand in hand.

re: ur feminist buzzkill post omg i can't watch tiktoks/youtube shorts anymore cuz it's all posts about "this is girlhood" featuring 3598503 unnecessary skincare/makeup items and they fill me with so much rage. it feels like we're going backwards from this to tradwives and bimbos becoming popular again to shit like girl math. one time i saw a popular tiktok of a girl doing a 20 step bath routine captioned "men will never understand this feeling #girlhood" as if the Essence of Femininity is hidden in overpriced gisou hair oils and shitty lush bath bombs. send in the flood! (apologies for ranting)
aghhhh all the makeup and skincare stuff makes me crazy, god, the little kids doing anti-aging skincare! when will i be free of this nightmare!
it's all yet another box to put women in and to make women feel bad about themselves. of course the solution to feeling bad about yourself is Buying Products - it's all very consumerist, and keeping up with all this stuff is expensive, which also undercuts your financial independence. diet culture, makeup culture, anti-aging, fast fashion trends, it all serves to make women feel bad about themselves as they are - and make money off them. the standards put on women are crazy and so many people on these platforms just play into it instead of thinking about it or unpacking it even the slightest amount.
recently i've been pissed off by how making fun of "pick me girls" has circled back around to just straight up bullying any woman who doesn't conform to traditional femininity. didn't you know, not being feminine means you must have internalized misogyny! and by the way, you're definitely doing it for male validation! god, can women please just be allowed to live.
#the amount of hatred towards women in instagram comments is really scary also. never read instagram comments#another reason i should delete the app#feminism#misogyny#ask#anonymous

My favorite thing with troons is seeing them embarrass themselves by showing the world how ignorant they are. The main thing is that almost all are "anti capitalist, counter culture baddies 💅" and yet.... Gender ideology is the pinnacle of capitalism. You don't even have to be against capitalism to understand that. The basis of "gender affirming care" is LITERALLY TO BUY SOMETHING LOL it's literally about buying products and procedures to be happy and to rely on external validation. A normal actual woman can find actual fulfillment and happiness through rejecting consumerism, she can even save money on hygiene products (a need) by using menstrual cups. A normal actual woman seeking happiness will understand makeup and almost all branded skincare marketed products are scams, they are not necessary to live life. And yet to be trans, you have to buy things to specifically "affirm" a gender you'll never be. It's to willingly be a lifelong Big Pharma patient and to get plastic surgery when you have the option not to- because you can't possibly reject the idea that a product or procedure will not make you happy. They go the extra mile and lie to themselves, saying it's a medical necessity. When in reality, it's gender stereotypes brought on by capitalism causing them to feel like they must conform. All mainstream media, including corps like Disney, support trans nonsense and shill out advertising for it. Yet that never raises any alarm bells in their eyes. They instead eat it up like candy, acting like their lives are being saved. "Here's a problem that you didn't know existed until now and here's a solution on how to fix it".
What may be the saddest part is that all that money is spent and most of them still don’t even get the results they are hoping for. Most of these plastic surgeons are fully taking advantage of these people, just like they take advantage of women, and promising things that are just impossible. But we’re the bad guys for pointing that out.

⚰︎ DIABOLIK LOVERS SKiT Dolce Tokuten Drama CD: “Trick or Treat(ment)” ⚰︎
Japanese Title: トリック・オア・トリート(メント)
CV: Takehiro Kou, Kaji Yuki, & Takashi Kondō (briefly ft. the other Sakamaki's too)
Audio Available: N/A
Author Note: This is another Halloween Drama CD especially for the spooky season, except this one is a little more fun rather than spooky. Like always with these group dramas, there is no audio available. But, I hope you enjoy it all the same!! I'd love to hear feedback/thoughts on this, since it's been a while since I focused solely on Drama CDs!
― The scene begins in the Sakamaki manor. ―
Subaru: Where’d the hell that girl go?
Heh, you hidin’ on me? Fine, I’ll play ball, just this once… Tonight’s all about spooks, so what’s a little hide and seek?
Kanato: Cut it out. You’re being awfully noisy.
Subaru: Hah?
Kanato: Don’t act like you didn’t hear me, please. I hate repeating myself… Even Teddy says you are making a ruckus.
Subaru: Whatever… Don’t blame me for it. I wouldn’t be havin’ to make a sound if that woman would hurry up and show herself.
…Oi, reckon you have any idea where she wound up?
Kanato: That annoying person? It seems she decided to shut herself in her room.
Subaru: Just in here? I should’ve known.
― He tries the door. ―
Huh?
Fuck… The hell did you go locking the door on me for!? Not like there’s anythin’ to barge in on, you know!
― Footsteps approach. ―
Ryuuto: Have you considered she might be avoiding the likes of you for a change?
Subaru: Haah!? Ryuuto…?
Looks like Halloween came early...
Ryuuto: Mutter under your breath all you’d like. You’re simply putting your immaturity on full display, like a peacock showing off its feathers.
If she is avoiding you… Well, I – for one – think it is about time some sense was knocked into her. You can be nothing but a bad influence on her.
Subaru: Bastard… You’re one to talk!
Kanato: Who was it that let you in to our house, Ryuuto? I thought this place was off limits to your side of the family?
Ryuuto: I let myself in.
Besides, you must be mistaken if you think a verbal warning is enough to scare me off. Pitch a sign outside in protest, next time, fufu.
Kanato: …Hehe, maybe you’re right, Teddy. Maybe pitching his head on a spike, instead, would make a better solution.
Subaru: It’d make for a much better Halloween decoration, that’s for sure.
― Subaru and Kanato laugh amongst themselves. ―
Ryuuto: Har. Har. How very funny.
Anyhow, please clear off, won’t you? I am here for that person, alone, and would rather not have my evening ruined by the “Sakamaki babies”*.
*The Japanese here would ideally be “―逆巻のねんね”; Not only is Ryuuto calling them childish and immature, but he is also using baby-talk whilst doing so to be condescending lol.
Kanato: What did you call me!? A “baby”…!?
Subaru: You say that shit again, and this place’ll soon be a real haunted house!!
Ryuuto: Oh dear, what a foul mood you are both in all of a sudden. It would appear you babies are teething*, too. Fufufu.
*Again, Ryuuto is being condescending as they’re younger than him, about to throw a tantrum, and – as all the Diaboys like to bare their teeth/threaten to bite when angry – teething is a play on them being “babies” as well as Vampires lol.
Subaru: You piece of…!
― Suddenly the door opens, with you rushing out to stop the fight! ―
Ryuuto: “Stop”? Fufu, you think I am frightened by―― Gaah!?
Subaru: Th-The fuck!? Gh-Ghost!?
Kanato: Waah!?
― You question what’s wrong. ―
Ryuuto: …!? It’s just you!?
― You apologise. ―
Subaru: “Thought you were a ghost”? F-Fuck off, I wasn’t spooked…
Ryuuto: You can’t expect us to not be startled, when you come walking out unannounced covered in something so strange.
Kanato: E-Eh? You mean…
It’s just that person, under that… that ectoplasm?
― You laugh and explain. ―
“A face mask” is what all that slime on your face is? How is putting something that looks so disgusting all over your face relaxing?
Ryuuto: They aren’t uncommon when it comes to skincare; Women tend to love the moisture and glow they give the face, after all.
Aren’t you supposed to have cucumbers to go along with this too?
Kanato: Like those over there you mean? Like a spa treatment…
Subaru: Pah… Since when did you care about “skincare”, anyway?
Ryuuto: Don’t sound so revolted, Subaru. I’m sure you could learn a thing or two about taking care of yourself from this woman.
Subaru: What’s that supposed to mean!?
― You ask them to calm down. ―
Kanato: …Sniff, sniff. Smells of… honey?
― You explain it’s a homemade face mask. ―
Kanato: It’s “homemade”? From fresh ingredient we had lying around in the kitchen?
Hey, is this really just an excuse to make yourself into a ready-to-eat meal for me? Hehe, you smell too good to not eat.
Subaru: Honey? You mean…
― Kanato licks your face. ―
Kanato: Mm… and strawberries.
Ryuuto: What do you think you’re doing? Don’t be so inconsiderate.
― You thank Ryuuto. ―
You think I was telling him off for your sake? Fufu, not at all… It’s simply disgusting to see what belongs to you be eaten up by someone else.
Subaru: Guess you’re not gonna like this then?
― Subaru also licks your face. ―
…You weren’t kiddin’, huh? It’s really strawberry, and all that stuff.
― You insist they stop! ―
Ryuuto: Exactly, face masks aren’t for eating.
Subaru: Maybe not. But, she is.
Kanato: I wouldn’t mind another taste, please.
Ryuuto: Tut.
You there, they’re going to make their stomachs sore, if you keep enticing them like this. Then this “Halloween” you have been so eager for will be ruined.
― You come up with an idea. ―
…You want us to try these face masks too?
Subaru: You mean… smearin’ this crap all over our faces?
Kanato: Are you saying our skin needs some kind of treatment? Mine is as soft as ever, you know!
…Although, with how sweet this stuff is smelling…
Ryuuto: I don’t know about you two, but I suppose it might make for quite the relaxing evening, if we were to give it a go, as well...
Fufu. Cucumber-eyes and all.
Subaru: I thought the point of all this was to make her look ridiculous.
Kanato: If we participate, does this mean we can eat it, when we’re done?
― You suppose so. ―
Then, I’ll have to give it a go as well. Heheh…
Please do mine first, before these other two. And be very generous with how much you put on.
Ryuuto: Remind me, you made this yourself? Well, it would be careless to not give it a good go, wouldn’t it?
Perhaps I ought to entrust my painting palette to you more often; You seem to mix rather pleasant colours.
Subaru: …Huh? What are you lookin’ at me for?
…Tsk, if everyone is doing it, i-it’d be a waste to not use to all up, I guess? Only ‘cause you went to the effort of makin’ so much!
Fine… Count me in.
― Timeskip. ―
Ryuuto: Haa… This has turned out to be rather relaxing, after all. With the lights off like this, the moonlight on my skin feels extra rejuvenating.
Subaru: Feels like I’ve shoved my face into mud… It’s caked all over…
Kanato: Mm… Please top mine up. It’s dribbling right into my mouth; I have no choice but to lick it off.
― You tell them to be careful. ―
Ryuuto: I’m not going to spill any onto your bedsheets, whilst sat here, don’t fret.
Although, I cannot speak for all of us…
― You top them up with cucumber eyes now. ―
Kanato: Why are you laughing all of a sudden?
Ryuuto: Why, indeed? It was your idea for the cucumber-eyes, Pet. Don’t tell me you are going to make us regret letting you pamper us?
Subaru: …Oi.
I wonder if you could do this sorta stuff with blood, you know? Wouldn’t that be just as refreshin’?
Kanato: Are you suggesting we should try that next time?
Subaru: Somethin’ like that, heh.
Ryuuto: Say, when the time comes… You will wash this off our face too, won’t you? After all, we’re in your care, tonight.
Kanato: Yes, return the favour; Lick mine off my face.
Make sure you end at my lips, though. That way, I’ll be able to finish my treatment with a final taste of the mask, hehe.
― You refuse. ―
Subaru: Hah? “No”? You’re gonna make us wash it off ourselves?
You’re really a pain in the ass sometimes, just c’mere instead――
― Subaru grabs hold of you. ―
Quit screamin’.
Fuck stumblin’ my way to the bathroom to wash it off, using you as a washcloth’ll work just fine.
― There is a struggle. ―
Ryuuto: Good grief, you’re going to make a complete mess, Subaru!!
Kanato: Who said you can use what belongs to me like that, anyway!?
― There is more of a struggle as they all get tangled in the bedsheets. ―
Ryuuto: Hand her over, at once! If she isn’t the one to fetch a damp towel for us, then who else will be…!?
― You shout for help. ―
Laito: Nfu. Did I hear a cry for “help” from my Bitch-cha――
Eeh!?
― One by one, the other Sakamaki’s appear. ―
Reiji: What on earth is happening h――!?
Ayato: W-Woah, what the hell!?
Shuu: …Heh.
Look at that. Looks like the ghosts of this “haunted house” have come out to play this Halloween, after all…
Ayato: Whaddya mean “ghosts”!?
― You, Ryuuto, Kanato, and Subaru fall off the bed, with the bedsheets. ―
Subaru: Aargh...!!
Laito: D-Did you hear that?
Reiji: W-Wha…!? This… This can’t be…
Shuu: Hahah…
― Shuu slowly walks away. ―
Reiji: Shuu, come back!
You… Ahem, whatever this is, y-you should learn to deal with these things yourself once in a while, as the eldest, you know…!
― Reiji quickly disappears. ―
Ayato: Y-Yo, Four-Eyes! Wait up!
― Ayato, then Laito, rush after Reiji. ―
Laito: Ayato…!? Hey...!
Ryuuto: Tsk...
Who pulled down this sheet with us!?
Kanato: M-My mask!
― They finally break apart… covered in a mess of face mask. ―
Subaru: Fuck, I’m covered in it!
― You complain. ―
Kanato: “C-Covered your bed in it”!? You’re lucky you didn’t cover Teddy in it!
Ryuuto: It’s all over my clothes, and through my hair…
Subaru: I think I got some in my eye…
― You are also covered head to toe in it from the struggle. ―
Ryuuto: Tut… Seeing as you are also completely covered in it, I’ll let you take a bath with me.
Subaru: Get lost, you have your own bathroom back at your place! I’m calling shots for scrubbin’ clean first, with her.
Kanato: It was your fault for the mess in the first place! It’s only fair her and I get to wash off first!!
― You get upset. ―
Ryuuto: Forget about laundry for now, Pet.
If you want a clean body first and foremost, secure that spot alongside you in the bath for me!
Kanato: N-No, me!!
Subaru: F-Fuck… Just, someone, go already!
This stuff’s really sticky…

Hello!
Have you read Hanamonogatari by Schwinn and The summer you were there by Yuama? If yes, what's your opinion on them? Did you like them?
Have a nice day!💐
hey! <3
i have conflicting feelings about Hanamonogatari. none of them are bad, but i often find myself thinking it could be so much more. hanayo is an elderly woman who was just widowed, with the death of her older husband comes an abundance of free time that hanayo is not used to. an attempt on developing a healthy lifestyle, to avoid risking dementia, lands her in a make-up/skincare store. the storytelling is pretty straight-forward: there's a problem, which stem from the patriarchal environment she was born and raised in; and there's a easy solution, yoshiko calls the people (mostly men) in her life assholes and offers some of her perspectives and life experiences. somehow, without any conflict, hanayo is able to adopt these new ideas. which is unsatisfying to say the least.
Schwinn is contantly comparing hanayo's old life with her current life. To better illustrate her servitude to the men (and family to an extent) in her life and better contrast it with the indulgence she's allowed to enjoy now. hanayo didn't get a higher education due to her brother's education being more important than hers, and thus, worthy of the expense. she's shown to only have any real attraction to women, however because of expectations she married a man 12 years older than her. she doesn't have friends or hobbies because she spent most of her life accommodating her husband and son. as a person who was 12 years younger than her husband, she believed him when he said women were gossipy and mean; scaring her away from feminine friendships. she doesn't even have preferences in anything due to not being allowed the time to explore options.
and yet, none of these situations seem serious. the problems presented seem like bug-like nuisances. they happen for one moment, hanayo remembers it and tells yoshiko, and then yoshiko is able to render them null in a few panels. i wish Schwinn gave more weight and time to it like they feel in real life. these situations are passing, sure, but they're constant and haunting. they have a continuing effect and women, despite being inconvenienced by them, internalize the ideas that prop them up. i wish the protagonist wasn't being spoon-fed revelations, was allowed to digest her experiences and come up with her own conclusions. i wish things lingered.
even so, i enjoyed reading Hanamonogatari. i love seeing the protagonist exploring her sense of self. i love seeing her granddaughter truly loving and supporting her. i love seeing her being able to express attraction. i love seeing her meet people and developing friendships. i think it's really important to show support for the story and acknowledge the need and want for stories centering mature women (OLD WOMAN YURI).
i haven't read The Summer You were There by Yuama, but i'll be sure to do so.
thank you, i hope you have a nice day too! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

The Demon Slayer Timeline, part 01
[Lots of spoilers for obvious reasons] The Demon Slayer Timeline is actually, a really long one. While it does not follow the totality of the Japanese history, it follows closely the beginning and falling of the Samurai era. While the main plot takes place in the Taisho Era [1912-1924], Sumiyoshi Kamado and Yoriichi Tsugikuni take us to the Sengoku Jidai [1467-1563], and Muzan to the Heian Era [794-1192] ( Muzan drop that skincare routine). But let us start from the beginning.
Muzan says that he was turned into a demon by a doctor in the Heian Era.
The Heian Era [c.794-1192] is today regarded as one of the times of highest culture, even though it was one of the [many] times of political and military conflicts. After conflits between the imperial court and the Buddhist sects that were starting to have way too much power the capital was moved from Nara to Heian-kyo - today known as Kyoto - to be safely way. That said, it also started a religious reform with the introduction of new kinds of Buddhism. [with less interest in power obviously, but still kept at a safe distance of the court] Tendai Buddhism and the Pure land Buddhism would start gain attention during this times and the temples would open their doors to every one of every type of social class [as we can see with Gyomei Himejima, the Rock Hashira that was a blind man that took care of orphan children in a Buddhist temple]. The temples stop having political power, but they also stop having financial aid. So, to survive they had to start exploring the natural resources of their territories. It's not going to take long before the temples start to argue about say territories, and to protect them, they will start to train the farmers that inhabited it, creating what would become a military class. In 'other hand, in the capital we see a court that is way to centred on herself. The Fujiwara clan was the family with the biggest amount of power. Fujiwara women would marry into the Imperial family in a what could be called genetic colonialization. In the 10th century the Imperial household could not function without the Fujiwara one, starting the tradition were until they reached adulthood the emperor had a Fujiwara regent, so basically it was the Fujiwara that ruled not the Imperial family. But, after 170 years, in 1068 an emperor without a Fujiwara mother sits on the chrysanthemum throne. Go-Sanjo would start to eradicate the Fujiwara by abdicating, leaving the throne to his already adult son. And the same would happen for the next 2 emperors. But by starting to cut ties with the Fujiwara, the imperial family cut off his right arm, and the arm that had the military power, nonetheless. Japanese had a natural border against enemies, that also meant that they did not have to where to expand their natural territory. So, without new territories to be conquered, the only solution was to start fighting each other for the lands that existed. The families that lived far from the capital were old families that knew their territories like the palm of their hands. With the crescent responsibilities of safeguarding their territories, like with the temples, this Shoen [local provinces] start to train their inhabitants [just like the temples]. We start to see the conquest of territories, and when a clan was defeated, the warriors would start to serve the winning clan. It's the birth of the Samurai Code. In the 12th century we start to have clans that are ready to go against the imperial court. In 1160 we have the Heiji war, were the Minamoto and Taiga clans are confronting each-other at the capital, and the Taiga family wins, and with entering the court life would become an exact copy of the Fujiwara. The only heir and survivor of the Minamoto clan starts to see the military machine of the Taiga to transform into an aristocratic one wand waits until 1180 to strike back. In 1185 the Minamoto would win the Genpei war staring the 1st ever Shogunate rule.
When Tanjiro goes to the Swordsmith, village, he encounters the mechanical doll made by Kotatsu’s ancestors called “Yoruichii Type Zero” where he goes on saying that that face is familiar to him and Kotatsu says that that technology is from the Sengoku Era.
Then after that we start to see Tanjiro’s flash backs of his ancestor Sumiyoshi Kamado and his encounter with Yoriichi Tsugikuni and all of that is confirmed with the backstory of Upper Moon 01 - Kokushibo.
Now, what was the Sengoku Era? Also known as the “warring states era”, the Sengoku-Jidai [c.1467-1573] was the time where the Japanese archipelago was buried on the total anarchy that was the civil war. So, we have a circa 275 years jump. After the failed rule of the Ashikaga Shogun [Yes because history spoilers, after the Minamoto Shogunate there was more was, more war, and another Shogun], the daimyo [local governors] continue to train their locals to defend their territory. Thanks to the fidelity bonds, the commoners responded to their daimyo, while the daimyo had to respond to the Shogun. Since the Shogun [we don’t even talk about the emperor since he was basically a poppet] no longer protected the daimyos they started to rebel against him saying that he was the first that broke the fidelity law. The commoners, started to learn specific combat techniques - the Kenjutsu, art of the sword - and would develop to what we know call samurai. The word samurai comes from the word “saburau” which means “to serve”, the rising of the samurai class marks the beginning of the feudal era in Japan. At the beginning, these warriors could have two jobs - be warriors and farmers as an example. When Hideyoshi (we will soon talk about him) came to power he required that they choose one or the other, but as long as a samurai remained loyal they were guaranteed a good life. The samurai's weapon of choice was a 2-sword combination. The 1st one, was the combat sword, a long one called (surprise) Katana. The 2nd one was a small curved one called Wakizaki that served to cut one’s stomach (note: important I tell you). Now, while everyone was fighting each other for territory, a man in the middle of the territory started what would soon become the union of Japan. Oda Nobunaga [織田 信長 1534-1582], as the eldest son that everyone thought would not do much. Turns out he collaborated with his uncle to kill his brother, to then kill said uncle. At 25 years old no one was bad mouthing him in Owari anymore. He started then to expand his territories were battle after battle he seemed unstoppable. Then Nobunaga’s troops were defeated for the 1st time, and Akeshi Mitsuhide [智光秀 1528-1582] would profit this momentarily loss of confidence on Nobunaga to obligate him to commit suicide. But Mitsuhide's victory was short lived since Toyotomi Hideyoshi [豊臣 秀吉 1527-1598], learning what had succeeded rushed to confront Mitsuhide, ending up defeating him. (Man, I love telling everyone this part cause this is what I call plot twist after plot twist! And we aren't finished yet!) Hideyoshi would be de one finishing what Nobunaga started and re-uniting wall the territory under one ruler. But, after Hideyoshi's dead, his son was still a minor (literally a baby). He would go on naming 5 daimyos as regents in case 1 rebelled the other 4 would protect the heir. Still that did not stop Tokugawa Ieyasu [徳川家康 1543-1616] from rebelling. At 1600 Tokugawa would win the legendary Sekigahara battle, and in 1603 he would (not so kindly) ask the emperor for the Shogun title. He would go on to establish the longest Shogunate in Japanese history. So as the saying goes: “Nobunaga oiled the national rice cake, Hideyoshi kneaded the dough and, in the end, Ieyasu at down and gobbled it up”.

Funny thoughts about my little shippy ship
How much care goes into their hygiene routine
So, we know from like, an SBS that the Strawhat men typically was every few days or whatever and the women daily. I can see this being fairly standard across the board for most characters in One Piece.
But!
Starting off with Thatch, I firmly believe he'd likely have a quick, thorough scrub down daily. Either to wake up or wind down for sleep. This is because, of course, he works IN THE KITCHEN. For hygiene reasons, he's gotta be washing up pretty well, especially concerning bulk cooking. Shits messy.
That's just basic hygiene though. I do think he's got a hair care routine to maintain that pompadour. It's a little hard to tell with animation style, but he does seem to have fairly long shit on top to get that large shape. Which means, for good styling, he needs to take care of it. Likely having a wash cycle and, yes, hair care products. Including a shower cap or maybe even a bonnet of some kind to keep it mostly in shape while he sleeps. Can't imagine he grows out his nails, so they're probably trimmed short, and we never see him in any other clothes so no idea what he's got canonically for body hair. (A friend mentioned he's probably pretty hair and, yeah, I get that vibe too lol. It's hard to explain, but it's probably pretty impressive and likely why he covers up so much--to keep any of it from falling into his food).
Skincare is likely nonexistent. Maybe some lotion if he's damaged his hands badly cutting something or using harsher acidic ingredients. Can't imagine what kind of bullshit food he's gotta worry about doing harm before it's taken care of during food prep. Perhaps something for old scars to keep them from remaining stiff so he can keep a good range of motion. But otherwise pretty minimal skin care.
Izou!
Now, Izou definitely bathes pretty regularly. He just... Looks like a man who doesn't tolerate BO. Master of the quick scrub and enjoyer of a long soak. I just know this man has a whole skincare routine and haircare regimen for those luscious locks. Mostly stuff he's made himself or swears by with weird ass ingredients. Probably even a 'spa day' routine every month or so for a deep cleanse.
He's gotta take good care of his body, but it's likely made easier because he just... Doesn't grow hair in a lot of places. Genetics and all that. For nails, he probably has a certain amount of length but keeps them fairly neat and trim otherwise. Shaved whatever he does grow, which isn't much at all.
I think the longest part of his routine is skincare because it's the easiest way to maintain a good makeup base. No need for concealers and color correction if his face is flawless. So there's probably dozens of lotions and such for every inch of his body and emergency solutions for any sudden issues. Scars are minimizes swiftly, dryness smoothed out, and overnight creams for an extra hydration boost.
Izou has a face card he regularly updates, basically.
If there's anything he's lazy about it's probably just perfumes and added scents. I can see him believing heavily in the power of natural scents and whatever his preferred products provide than a particular cologne or whatever. He's probably got a few bottles for special occasions, maybe just borrows Thatch's cologne, which is a lot more like aftershave and heady.
And Nikia!
Another one that regularly bathes! Prefers a shower because baths take... A long time. For no real reason. Probably the most relaxed hygiene scheduled between the three of them. Doesn't do a lot with her hair or skin, but does have a few products and whatever Izou insists she tries (which she does for a while and then infrequently unless he happens to be there when she's primed to use them). Does have a hair bonnet but washes her whole body regularly. She may decide to postpone a shower if it's a long day and chose to bathe in the morning--won't do anything 'outside' until she has though.
The worst part is her wings, but it's impossible to not get them wet so she's just practiced with it at this point. There is a wing version of shampoo and conditioner to keep them healthy with regular washes, but it takes a while to fully use them. So her showers tend to be longer than expected by necessity. Has leave in conditioner and hair oils to keep her hair nice and bouncy with decent success.
Likes her nails long and only trims them when they start to break, but they don't get crazy long either. Has a hand lotion she uses regularly but that's the closest she does to regular, additional treatment outside of her hair.
Izou likes to drag her into a spa session that she appreciates because it usually involves grooming her wings, which is quite lovely and relaxing! Does have perfume and uses it daily. Favors lighter scents or vaguely floral/fruity ones. For fancy occasions, will change to a more 'mature' and musky scent.

Women vs. Anti-Aging: Who Will Claim Victory?
As women, the search for eternal youth can feel like a never-ending battle against time. The anti-aging path can be difficult at times, from navigating the maze of skincare products to dealing with societal pressures and internalized expectations. The constant bombardment of advertising offering miracles in a jar exacerbates the confusion, leaving many of us feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
Women vs. Anti-aging: Never ending story
In the never-ending war against aging, people in their twenties frequently believe they are indestructible, with limitless potential and a bright future ahead. They remember their youthful energy and passion as 26-year-olds.
It's important to remember that collagen naturally declines after the age of 25, which is a reality of life rather than an accident that requires intervention. Just like periods, aging is a normal process. These changes are not evidence of health problems, but rather typical aspects of life's journey. Aging is unavoidable, and one's body changes as time passes.
How can we fight against anti-aging?
To be honest, there is no clear solution to this question. We cannot change the reality that people grow older and aging occurs. However, there is one thing we can do to keep our skin looking beautiful and healthy, which will help you look several years younger.
Maintaining healthy facial skin is key! Here are some suggestion for you:
Change your daily routine:
Prioritize sleep: Adequate rest, at least 7 hours a night, facilitates skin repair, staving off wrinkles.
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep skin supple and glowing.
Stress management: Find outlets to reduce stress, preventing the onset of fine lines.
Moderate alcohol intake: Limit alcohol consumption to avoid dehydrating the skin.
Select the right beauty regimen: Choose products tailored to your skin type and concerns, such as sunscreen, hydrating masks, and specialized creams.
Simplify your skincare routine: When it comes to skincare, less can often be more. Applying multiple products can overwhelm your skin and lead to unnecessary irritation. That's why it's essential to streamline your routine by focusing on just 1 to 2 products that offer maximum efficiency.
Understanding the problems that many women are facing, such as the desire for simplicity and effectiveness in their skincare routines, Luminea has developed a innovative solution:
Unlocking Radiance: By targeting melanin pigment, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream reveals a brighter, more luminous complexion with just a few applications. Its immediate effects upon use ensure instant radiance, providing you with the confidence to face the day.
Multi-Functional Protection: Beyond its whitening benefits, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream doubles as a moisturizer, effectively concealing blemishes and imperfections. Additionally, it serves as both sunscreen and makeup base, offering comprehensive protection against the sun's harmful rays. With its resistance to sweat, dirt, and summer heat, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream is your all-in-one solution for year-round skincare.
Gentle and Versatile: Crafted with natural ingredients, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream is gentle on the skin, making it suitable for all skin types. Its non-allergenic formula ensures that even the most sensitive skin can benefit from its transformative effects.
Elevate Your Skincare Routine: Simplify your regimen with Luminea Premium Whitening Cream—a versatile solution that not only enhances your skin's radiance but also simplifies your daily routine for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
It's time to shift the narrative surrounding anti-aging and empower women to embrace the beauty of every stage of life. Let's challenge societal norms, debunk myths, and support each other on this journey towards self-acceptance and confidence. Whether it's through sharing our own experiences, advocating for inclusive representation in media, or exploring innovative skincare solutions, every action we take brings us one step closer to redefining aging on our own terms. Join us in celebrating the diversity and resilience of women everywhere as we embrace the true essence of beauty—ageless, timeless, and uniquely our own.
