Cover Reveal for WHISKEY AND WARFARE!
Running on caffeine and spite with nothing left to prove. #GoldenGirls meets #Firefly in a rollicking space opera adventure! #CoverReveal for WHISKEY AND WARFARE!
A month from today, the first book in the Team Huntress Flights will be released. I’m so excited you’ll get to meet these bad-ass ex-mercenaries of mine! I made a little CapCut reveal in celebration. There are several blogs participating in the cover reveal (thanks to all of them, and especially Giselle from XPresso Book Tours for setting the whole thing in motion!) Without further ado … WHISKEY…

Karen Lord || The Blue, Beautiful World
Longlist 2024 Spoiler Alert Did I ever mention in a previous blog I am not into SciFi? I think I might have. Unfortunately The Blue, Beautiful World once more proved I am definitely not into SciFi. The further the novel progressed, the more I suffered. I must admit I might have liked The Blue, Beautiful World better if it had been made into a series or a movie. I always enjoyed Star Trek and…

Feminine Suffering Is Not Shocking
A highly specific bone I have with historical and high fantasy shows is the punishment inherent to being feminine or simply being a woman. I am tired, exhausted, sick to death of women who value beauty or mercy or who just want to survive being punished.
Another week, another drawn out scene of women being subjugated in an intensely gender-specific way for the gratification and convenience of men in Westeros. I wish I could say that it was even mildly surprising, but with nine episodes of House of the Dragon and a scene like this clocking in nearly every episode, I cannot. The world of Westeros has always fetishized suffering in all forms, but…

Top Ten Tuesday: Authors Outside Of My Typical Genre That I'd Like to Try
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a reader in possession of a healthy TBR list, must be in want of more time to read." Check out these authors I want to try who write outside my typical genre! #toptentuesday #TBR
Happy Tuesday! Today’s theme for the Top Ten Tuesday link-up is “Authors I Haven’t Read Yet But Want To”. (thanks, Deanna, for the idea!) It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a reader in possession of a healthy TBR list, must be in want of more time to read. And that is certainly the case with me. Oh the irony of starting a company called JustRead – to promote books – and no longer having…

Fiction Friday: The Angel (Artemis Rising 5 and International Women's Day Special)
Today, we celebrate #InternationalWomensDay with a powerful tale of a cancer patient fighting a giant mech. Yes. It's awesome. #amreading #amreadingscifi #writerscommunity #IWD2019
My first novella, City of Kaiju, is finally out! Available through Amazon and Books2Read. You can see a preview of the very first chapter here. Help support a fresh new author with a fantastic read this winter season.
It’s rare to see a short story be so detailed and concise that it takes my breath away at how wonderful the plot was. This is one of those stories. Today, we review The Angel by…
