#look the jokes are great#the commentary is often valuable#but#luigi mangione#is very obviously being framed by the most corrupt police force in the states#like#literally#so blantantly#he is innocent#both by the legal definition of he has not been charged with any crime#and by the common sense definition#he was 'caught with the coat the gun and the backpack'#that was also left at the scene of the crime#and a note saying basically 'lol yeah i did it and i did it all by myself i am guilty guilty guilty'#on his person#a manifesto addressed to the public#not left at the scene with the monopoly money or the bullet casings#which are the real manifesto btw#don't be dumber than a cop#he's innocent#and getting tricked by the police is embarassing

#I'd rather not clutter the caption so I'll ramble a little in the tags#HitW is short but special to me as it represents and encapsulates some hard life experiences I was going through at the time of its creatio#Ofc in a more metaphorical manner! but. I’m all for fucking around and finding out but in this situation (trump & the billionaires trying to drag america into tech bro fascist hell) too many people are being hurt and too many more WILL die if things do not change. you do not need to forgive those who voted for him, you do not need to find the sympathy to feel bad for them now that they’re being affected by his policies. but we cannot turn them away once they turn on trump— and they are. too little too late, maybe. studying for the test after they failed, sure. but I’m so serious when I say this is not the time for perfectionism. this is the time to push a dictator & his cronies out with any hands that are willing to shove
