Boyd, ISD is in the city of Boyd in Wise County, Texas.  The school is located at 550 Knox, Avenue, Boyd, TX 76023.  Boyd is the home of the Yellowjackets who proudly wear the school colors of green and gold.

Indeed, the Boyd Yellowjackets Varsity team has thus far played four football games. Two of those at home while the other two were away.  Of the four games they have won two.  Both winning games were home games against Nocona and Howe.  The other two were away games against Holliday and Lake Worth.

However, six games remain.  Following are the upcoming games and their locations:

9/28 at 7:30 pm away against Ponder High School

10/12 at 7:30 pm at home against Paradise High School (Rivalry Game)

10/19 at 7:30 pm away against Pilot Point High School

10/26 at 7:30 pm at home against Bowie High School

11/2 at 7:30 pm away against Brock High School

11/9 at 7:30 pm at home against Whitesboro High School

Boyd High School – Yellow Jackets Football Schedule

As a matter of fact, the Boyd Yellowjackets are led by Coach Brandon Hopkins.  The team consists of a roster of 32 players.  They are 3A-1 Region I District 4.  The school has a national ranking of 5545 and a TX state ranking of 626.

In fact, some Yellowjackets have been named Boyd Football Players of the Game for two of this season’s past games.  Those being the games vs Nocona and Howe.

First, the season opening game vs Nocona on Friday, August 31st. Defensive player- #44 Nick Taylor, Offensive player- #14 Brian Couture, Overall player-#10 Kody Risenhoover. Congratulations to the players and the team!

Second, the game vs Howe on Thursday, Sept. 20th.  Defensive player- #70 Jacob Herring, Offensive player- #10 Kody Risenhoover, Overall player- #44 Nick Taylor.  Congratulations to the players and the team!

Therefore, cheer on the Boyd Yellowjackets during their upcoming games.  Get to the concessions and grab the soda and nachos. Fill those stands with green and gold and cheer the Boyd Yellowjackets to a win, win, win!

All three of Melvin and Jannie Lou’s children still live and have raised families on Meadows Ranch. Agricultural families work together, even if only a few make their sole living from it. The ranch was a great place to grow up, and we were in many ways our own small community just south of Cottondale. We all lived within a couple miles of each other and could literally walk across pastures to each others’ houses. Even though all of my cousins and I no longer live there (except for two that are still in high school), we make it back as often as we can. Some of us live close enough for a day trip, while others, like myself and @bradrm33 and his family, live several hours away and plan multi-day trips in. Holidays are especially enjoyable, and we fill out the main ranch house tightly. For Easter this year, 32 of us filled several large tables for lunch, and hundreds of eggs were hidden for the nine great grandkids. Spouses are added and the number of great grandkids keeps growing, but no one complains about the size of the family. Why would you? It’s what really matters. Plus, you can always turn the kids out on the pastures when they turn restless inside! A trip to Texas for any Gun Enthusiast wouldn't be complete without a stop at Dallas Gun Club in Dallas & the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. A lot of miles were covered, memories were made but the learning experience was priceless. The end result is the opening of the Dixon Shooting Range on Snow Ball Hollow. Hey #MDiTA, @jerodfoster back for the last day on this visual trip around Meadows Ranch. A ranch like this, at its foundation, is built around a family. I’m proud to be a part of the Meadows family and have taken with me many influencing characteristics from it that show up in my daily personal and professional lives. I imagine all of my cousins that grew up on the ranch can say the same thing. Speaking of cousins, it’s getting more and more difficult to get us all together on the holidays as we get older and grow families of our own. This shot was made a couple years ago, and there have been at least three more additions since then (one birth and two marriages)!
