The process (kind off) designing Gia, my tiefling paladin (oath of the crown) dnd character. She has the gladiator background, thus why there are some wrestling oufits there too.
There's also a silly doodle of her talking with our human fighter, half serious, half mocking him.
These are from when I first started playing her, about 2-3 years ago.
Clockwork paused in his work, gaze turning from his work towards his ghostling (it didn’t matter if he was an adult, he’d always be his ghostling) who was smiling nervously, avoiding his eyes.
“Oh?” He kept his tone light, even as he worked on untangling a time knot. Honestly at least Danny was immune to any effect of time, even if he couldn’t look into his timelines in exchange. It came with being the other half of Infinity.
“Yeeah… you know that corner of the multiverse you told me not to go to because you’re working on some time problems? I might have stumbled into one of the worlds in the corner…”
He stopped his machinations, fully turning towards Danny- Space, his Core whispered and quivered in utter delight at having an Equal in power- with a raised eyebrow, leaning on his staff and silently telling him to explain.
Danny poked his fingers together, giving a nervous laugh. “So uh, I was just exploring right? Well me and Ellie, you know how she gets when she can’t wander, and um… I er, we might have messed with some things in the creation of it… I didn’t know it was part of that universe, I swear! It was so far at the fringes and halfway into the Zone and I couldn’t just let a universe die before it began and-”
Oh- Oh! His ghostling (and his grand-ghostlings it sounded like) had claimed his first universe! He could put off these time knots, this was a grand milestone for any Ancient, nevermind such a primordial force as one of theirs.
And this is how a DC world came into being with humans evolving with more avian traits. Like wings. And claws. Look, Dan thought it’d be funny if they gave baby humanity wings and Ellie started rambling about how much farther they could travel if they had them and Danny thought it could be cool. Oh well, time to keep an eye on their itty baby world now…
I like that, no matter the time period or generation, the Beifong family will always, eternally, be not having a funky good time. ( i couldnt find one that included Lin or Toph so yall are gonna have to use your imagination lol)
In an effort to prepare for the endgame (And definitely not bc she really wants to be a dragon), Zephrine and the party partook in a ritual with a green dragon friend to allow her to turn into a black dragon once a day!
Since our participating dragon was green, however, It had some visual side effects that appear even when Zephrine is her normal dragonborn self. She doesn't seem to mind and is in fact quite happy with this new look, though, so it's all good.
i like the idea of shelby/otto for a lot of reasons (they’re hypercompetitive prodigies with similar senses of humour) but the main one is that i do think they just Get each other in a way the other core four pairings don’t. they’re selfish and ambitious and covetous and sometimes mean and so, so desperate to pretend that they don’t care what anyone else thinks of them; nero makes a point of asking otto what he really has to go back to in book 1, but the same applies to shelby. everything she has she’s built for herself. everything otto has he’s had to claw away from that unshakable truth that he was born with his fate already decided. they would never, ever last long term because i think they’d turn on each other in order to protect themselves, but equally i think they would always regret not giving things a go at least once. loving each other would never be enough. they’d always try too hard to hate each other.
i noticed that merry has little vestigial/emergent wings which is So cute, and then i looked up "wait what's the difference between a tiefling and a cambion then", and now i'm even more confused
On Slate and Violet, they really do feel like they were just, plopped in there to be love interests. It’s been a bit since I’ve read the books, but if I recall correctly Thunder and Violet were more or less instantly in love with each other, very little build up
From what I remember, everything about Violet Dawn was completely centric around her romantic life. Her mate who was hit by a car, Rain, Slash creeps on her like he creeps on everyone's love interests, and then she exists so that Thunder can 'get over the pain' that Star Flower's betrayal put on him.
VERY annoying at best. Abject sexism at worst.
(and don't think it's lost on me that the narrative just conjures up outsiders when they run out of people because this arc kills cats haphazardly.)
I will probably be changing the ridiculous way that the narrative decides Thunder is adopted by Hawk Swoop and Jackdaw's Cry because he was suckled by Hawk. His parent will be considered Gray Wing alone; Bright Stream was his mother.
(I may be changing Bright Stream's name to Bright Storm, to show she is a fusion of both characters.)
I hate how Warrior Cats both decides that breastfeeding = parenting AND at the same time fostered sibling = not real sibling. You can breastfeed a child and not instantly become its mother :/
I couldn't wait to draw Saoirse in her draconic form! No longer limited to just the shimmer upon her face, now a majestic display of brilliant gold emanates from her wings, her hair, her fingertips! With the power of flight & a resistance to fire, her flames seem to burn even brighter. That said, she'll keep her daggers nearby just in case. 😉
My top ten favorite female characters of all time (unranked cause I’m bad at choosing only one favorite)
1. Wendy Marvell from fairy tail - she starts out as a shy support healer and becomes a great combat medic. Plus dragon slayers are cool and she’s so adorable.
2. Eda clawthorne from the owl house - a great conwoman slash mother figure who’s queer and disabled.
3. Rachel from Animorphs - she loves fashion, shopping and ripping her enemies apart.
4. Sadie Kane from Kane chronicles - I love her attitude, her relationship with her brother and her look
5. Marinette dupain-cheng from miraculous - I like girls who are competent, messy and vulnerable. As someone with anxiety issues who was bullied by people like Chloe, I relate to her so much.
6. Yang Xiao long from Rwby - she’s badass, beautiful, nurturing and her abandonment issues make her more complex. Probably a lesbian.
7. Anya forger from spy x family - a little girl who’s a little shit with improbable skills. I love her dynamic with her family and with Damian.
8. Toph beifong from atla - she’s a disabled little girl who can kick your ass, but isn’t one dimensional.
9. Peril from wings of Fire - I loved her friendship with turtle and her attitude was fun to read,
10. Sydney sage from Bloodlines - she helped me work through some of my eating issues. She’s a nerd, she’s very kind and probably demisexual.
