it's SUCH a good Q really bc as crazy as i am about if pobodys nerfect n all. Barring stuff I can't comment on yet... can i call SMEN "not that exciting" or is that old. Smen is very very cool as a game mechanic and concept but the actual plot is lacking. There's a lot of great text written for it. Meta wise it is powerful in how ot affects and changes the game! Content wise... I think it is a lot less intriguing than its promise, whether or not you know the deep secrets within.

A fault really in a lot of AK writing stuff, and it feels like SMEN is just corralled as "done" to canon so it'll never become more interesting than it is lore wise. Which isn't much tbh

-crushed gravel and other earth tones is actually a pretty common taste note! it’s not that it tastes directly like licking rocks- it’s more of like ,,. the scent of wet slate, or river stones! it can come from the aging process and typically isn’t very prominent unless you’re really looking for it lol. you don’t usually sip a white wine and go that’s conk creat babey!! unless you’re gay and studying wine sensory evaluation. which i am. but that’s probably an outlier

-if you ordered a white wine on the rocks the bartender would probably give u a weird look, but any winemaker, sommelier, or most enology professionals would probably go fish up an Atlantic sturgeon specifically to whack you with
