Or
Coriolanus pervs on you while swimming (romantic)
*•.¸♡Words: 1.1k
Part 2
Growing up in the Covey had been a stroke of luck, simple as it gets, when Lucy Gray Baird and her family had been forced into District 12 Seeing the talent you had with a guitar one night as you played to the darkness, they took you to their next show where you played alongside Lucy Gray. She was still the star, she had the smile, the voice, the charisma. You could sing when you needed to, and you played the guitar just as well, but she always took the spotlight. And when she strolled into town after winning the Hunger Games, that star power only grew. She was the star, until one sunny morning.
Mockingjay's sang into the wind, the warm sun beating against your skin and the gentle breeze made your sundress flow in the wind. Meeting Lucy and the others on the walk to the lake you came face to face with Coriolanus Snow. Buzzed blonde hair, sharp jawline and the bluest eyes you had ever seen. His smile was bright, and his laugh was as sweet as Lucy’s singing. And it should be, he was laughing at her jokes. Smiling at her. Before he could catch you staring your eyes had shifted quickly, focussing on Lucy as you walked to her side.
She beamed as she saw you, wrapping her arms tightly around you.
“Coriolanus, I want you to meet only the bestest person in the world,” Lucy went on, kissing you quickly on the cheek.
The same smile returned as he turned to shake your hand, his skin soft on your calloused palms. “It’s nice to finally meet you.” He spoke your name softly, the syllables dripping from his tongue like honey. Your hand slipped from his, the tips of his fingers running along your palm.
Lucy quickly ushered you and the rest of the group on, starting the long hike down the green hills. Lucy walked ahead with Aurora, talking wistfully into the wind. You walked in silence, one hand gripping the strap of your satchel as you watched the critters race up the branches of the trees.
“Lucy said you played the guitar,” Coriolanus spoke up, swatting away another mosquito. He walked beside you, his tall figure blocking the sun from your face. He looked down at you, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. “Why didn’t I see you performing last night?”
You simply shrugged. The answer was the crowds didn’t cheer for you, Lucy was the star, and she could play for hours without backup. But it sounded sad. You looked over the trees, the Mockingjay's flying higher into the trees. “Nothing special, you probably just missed me when I left.”
Coriolanus shook his head softly, “I feel like I’d remember you.” You couldn’t place what Coriolanus meant, your eyebrows furrowing as you thought over his words. You didn't say anything more after that, keeping your eyes ahead on the track leading to the lake.
As soon as the dock was close enough Aurora and Tip had stripped their clothes off and thrown themselves in the water. You tossed your bag down, the hot sun that had beat against your skin had made you more than happy to rush into the water. Tossing your sundress aside with your satchel you ran down the dock and dove under the crystal blue water. The cool lake chilled your skin enough to relieve the sun but not enough to raise goosebumps.
You swam up to the surface, pushed the hair back for your face and fixed the straps of your handmade bra that slid down your shoulder. Lucy jumped in after you, and with a yell, Coriolanus jumped in, the splash of water hitting your face. You laughed, using your arms to keep you afloat. Coriolanus muttered an apology through a smile, but you barely noticed as your eyes fell over his light skin, his collar bones and muscular shoulders.
The lake was sweet, a nice relief from the constant smell of coal and sweat, the rowdy crowds and the smell of liquor on everyone's breath. Some time later Lucy had swam to shore, helping Aaroa and Tip fish and dig up Katniss' roots.
You floated on your back, the gentle waves lapping at your skin as the sun warmed your face. Coriolanus sat on the edge of the dock, toying with his fingers as he watched you. The wind blew the waves softly, the sun reflecting on your skin like liquid gold. He pushed himself off the dock, slipping below the cold water once again. “Can I hear you sing?” His voice made you turn your head to look at him.
“I don’t sing,” You muttered, turning your head to face the sun again.
“Lucy said you sing.”
You turned to swim properly, treading water. “If you wanna hear someone sing you should ask Lucy,” You insisted. You pushed yourself closer, slipping your fingers under the slim metal chain of his dog tags, untangling the knot. You moved it to hang properly from his neck, your nails dragging ever so slightly across his soft skin.
His icy blue eye moved from your hand on his skin and looked up at your face, droplets of water falling from your hair, and slipping down your skin and when they hit your lips, you swiped them away with your tongue. “I wanna hear you sing.” His eyes snapped up to meet yours as you lifted her gaze from the metal chain.
You chuckled softly and he swore it sounded like the sweetest melody, a honeydew sound that he couldn't help but smile at. “You’re funny Coriolanus Snow,” you said softly. “Turning down the winner of the Hunger Games. A true victor.”
Coriolanus wiped a hand down his face, wiping away the water running over his eyes. “What about you?” He asked.
You shook your head softly. “She’s the star, the songbird,” You insisted, unsure you were convincing him or yourself. His smile made your stomach flip, his gaze made your cheeks burn, but his words… his honey words.
His hand slowly reached out, his fingers slipping beneath the strap of your bra and sliding it back up your shoulder. His hand lingered there for a moment before falling back into the water. “Luckily I like roses.”

“ just… be honest with me, do you hate me? “ for Buddie
(buddie) (869 words) this prompt screams angst, which is. the exact opposite of what i did with it. whoops!
“You asshole,” Eddie says, pinching the bridge of his nose. “We agreed—”
“I know, I know,” Buck says, “But just—trust me?”
Eddie sighs. “I’m going to break up with you one of these days,” he threatens.
“No you won’t,” Buck replies with a sunny grin.
He’s right, obviously, but he doesn’t have to be so smug about it. Eddie makes a noncommittal noise and climbs into the passenger seat of the Jeep.
“At least tell me where we’re going?” Eddie asks, not especially optimistic he’ll get an answer.
“Nope!”
Eddie groans. “I hate you, you know that?”
Buck snorts. “M’hm, sure, definitely seemed like you hated me this morning.”
“Yeah, well, see if I do that again any time soon,” Eddie snarks.
Buck laughs, loud and bright. It’s hard to summon even playful irritation in the face of Buck’s obvious joy, but Eddie’ll be damned if he doesn’t give it the ol’ college try.
They take a circuitous route out of LA and up through the canyons to Malibu. There’s a small farmers market on the way, one they’ve been to once or twice before, and Buck insists they stop for strawberries. Eddie insists on buying peach jam, mostly because he likes it and Buck doesn’t. Instead of rising to the bait, Buck swings by the bakery tent and grabs a loaf of sourdough to go with it. Dick.
“C’mon,” Buck says, once they’ve secured their purchases in a backpack that’s apparently been in the back the entire time. “We’re leaving the car here.”
“Oh, so you’re torturing me with physical activity for our anniversary, I guess that isn’t a gift after all,” Eddie says, just to be contrary. He loves hiking, and they both know it.
Buck rolls his eyes. “It’s a ten minute walk, fifteen tops. I won’t even make you carry anything.”
“My hero,” Eddie says, pressing a dramatic hand to his chest.
Buck locks the Jeep and bumps his shoulder against Eddie’s. “You coming?”
“Under duress,” he replies, but he’s pretty sure the grin on his face gives the game away.
True to Buck’s word, it takes just over ten minutes to reach their apparent destination. The path was entirely up hill, though, and Eddie makes sure to get some mileage out of that.
The view from the small overlook at the top, though, is pretty impossible to complain about. The ocean stretches out infinitely before them, brilliantly blue and glittering.  It’s the kind of place where the rest of the world just… falls away.
Eddie loves it. Buck knows he loves it.
“Fine,” Eddie says, “You win. This is perfect.”
“Yeah?” Buck asks from behind him.
“You know it is,” Eddie says. He tears his eyes away from the horizon and—
Oh.
That’s—
Buck’s spread a large picnic blanket on the ground behind him, and it’s a ridiculous first thought to have, but sue him, Eddie’s feels like his brain is doing a hard reset, because—
Because—
Because Buck is on one knee and he’s got a small black ring box in his hand and his eyes are already shining and Eddie’s never loved someone the way he loves Buck.
“Eddie,” Buck says, and it’s just his name but the love and devotion in it takes away his breath.
“There’s not a lot I haven’t said to you,” Buck continues. “But you know me, I like to talk.”
Eddie nods vigorously, entirely incapable of forming words of his own.
“And there’s—there’s no one else in this world I want to spend the rest of my life talking to,” he says, huffing a small laugh at his own expense.
“Eds, you’re—you’re the sun,” he says, and Eddie doesn’t know how to tell him that can’t be true, because he’s already looking at the brightest light on the planet.
“You’ve been making everything better and brighter since the day we met. Getting to love you is—is the greatest privilege of my life, and I’m kind of hoping you’ll let me keep doing it forever.”
A small noise punches it’s way out of Eddie’s chest, and it’s only then that it occurs to him that he might need to breathe for the part he’s pretty sure is coming next.
“So, Eddie Diaz,” Buck says as the first of what Eddie’s sure will be many tears slips down his cheek, “will you marry me?”
Eddie drops to his knees and takes Buck’s face in his hands and brushes the tear away with his thumb. There are a hundred things he wants to say, but he still hasn’t managed to take that breath, and, really, only one of them is important right now.
A mischievous expression flashes across Buck’s face. “Just… be honest with me,” he says, a little smug, “do you hate me?”
“Yes,” Eddie finally gasps.
Buck jerks in surprise. “Yes?”
“No, not—yes I’ll marry you,” Eddie says in a rush.
“Oh,” Buck says with a grin. “Well, that’s a relief because—”
Eddie doesn’t let him finish. He crashes his lips against Buck’s. He kisses his fiancé. He’s not sure he knew it was possible to be this happy.
He can’t believe the asshole beat him to it. Eddie loves him so much.

A Little Escape
Lena Oberdorf x Reader
After a long and demanding season, Lena and you were both craving the same thing: a break. It had been a whirlwind year, with the ups and downs of club football, the pressure of international tournaments, and the constant travel. You had been looking forward to competing in the Olympics, representing Germany. But an unexpected ankle injury dashed those plans. You spent the last weeks on rehab, watching from the sidelines as your teammates prepared for Paris. But as much as it stung, it also meant one thing—this summer, you were free.
And Lena, your wonderful girlfriend, was in the same boat. No club commitments. No national team games for the both of you. No pressure. For the first time in forever, you were truly free.
You’d decided on Madeira. You had heard about the island’s beauty, the lush greenery, and the winding roads that led to beaches and mountain peaks. It was a place where you could forget about football, forget about the world for a little while, and just be.
The flight was smooth, your excitement growing as you approached the island. You took a taxi to the small, charming hotel you’d booked. Lena had made sure everything was organized. She had this knack for finding hidden gems, places off the beaten track. It was part of her that you adored—her love for exploring, for discovering new places, and her ability to make the smallest moments feel magical.
---
After dropping off your bags and freshening up, you rented a car. A small, nondescript vehicle that looked perfect for winding around the narrow, steep roads. You decided to spend the next few days exploring the island, taking in its natural beauty at your own pace.
The first day you ventured to the coast, winding through dramatic cliffs and lush green hills. The air was warm, the breeze carrying the smell of saltwater and wildflowers. You stopped at a small beach with golden sand and a turquoise sea, perfect for swimming.
Lena grinned at you as she tossed a towel onto the sand. “Race you to the water!” she shouted, already running toward the waves.
You laughed and followed, even though you knew she would always win in a sprint. But it didn’t matter. You had no one to impress, no schedule to follow, no match to prepare for. Just the two of you, together. You splashed in the water, the laughter echoing around you.
---
In the evenings, you’d walk through the cobbled streets of the island’s old towns, hand in hand, chatting in German—your shared mother tongue. It was such a relief to speak freely with Lena, without the pressure of finding the right words in English. In football, you had become so used to speaking in another language, but here, it was just you and your shared words. You could tell her about the little things that had been on your mind, the thoughts that had been crowded out by football for so long. And Lena would listen, always so patient, so understanding.
---
One afternoon, you set off for a hike through the mountains. The air was crisp and fresh, the landscape a mix of dense forests, rushing streams, and steep cliffs. You talked about everything and nothing. About your lives, your dreams, the future—both in football and beyond. You talked about your shared Olympic dream and how it felt to let it slip away. But Lena was always good at reminding you that there were other dreams, other adventures waiting for you. “We have this,” she said softly, her hand squeezing yours as you walked, the sun filtering through the trees. “We have now.”
The waterfalls on Madeira were stunning, and you spent a whole day chasing them. Each one felt like a secret, hidden gem that you had discovered together. You took turns standing under the cold, refreshing water, laughing as you tried to capture the moment on your phones. But even if you hadn’t taken a single photo, you knew you would carry those memories in your heart forever.
---
By the time the week was over, you had explored every corner of the island. From the black sand beaches to the volcanic landscapes, from the rolling hills to the charming little villages, Madeira had been everything you’d hoped for and more. And, for once, you hadn’t thought about football. The world of training sessions, media interviews, and packed stadiums had faded into the background. All that mattered was that you were together, with no expectations, no pressure. Just two people, in love, exploring a beautiful corner of the world.
---
On the last night, you stood on a terrace overlooking the ocean, the sun dipping below the horizon, casting everything in a golden glow. Lena wrapped her arms around you from behind, resting her chin on your shoulder.
“I’m so glad we did this,” she said softly, her voice full of contentment.
“Me too,” you whispered back, turning to face her. “It’s been perfect.”
“Maybe next year,” she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes, “we can do this again. Only next time, no injuries, no distractions. Just us.”
You smiled and kissed her forehead. “Next year, we’ll make it happen.”
And in that moment, you realized that no matter where you went, or what you did, it didn’t matter. Because with Lena by your side, it was always going to be perfect.

Cooper Howard/The Ghoul x reader
Description: Cooper exposes his jealous side as they find out Moldaver’s location.
TW: swearing, canon typical violence, slut shaming?
I woke up in the morning sprawled across Cooper with a wide smile on my face. He looked so content when he slept, like all the things that had hurt him over the years had never happened. I wonder what he looked like before he turned ghoul. I imagined how handsome he probably was because even after ghoulification, he was still stunning. He must have felt my stare as he slowly opened his eyes and turned his head towards me.
"Mornin', sugar." He mumbled out before yawning.
"Mornin', Coop," I responded, smiling at him before kissing him on the head. "Ready to head out?"
And so, another hike started. I hoped once we found Moldaver we could maybe take a couple of days' break. Honestly, I had no idea how I kept walking after weeks of nonstop hiking, it felt like my legs were going to fall off.
Eventually, we happened upon another town, bustling with life. I didn't try to hide the smile on my face as we squeezed our way through the crowds. I tightly fisted Cooper's tattered duster jacket to make sure we didn't get separated. As usual, he was quiet, he wasn't used to sharing his plans with anyone.
As we approached a small bar, he finally spoke with a stern look on his face. "Stay close, darlin'."
I gave him a small smile in response and happily nodded my head. We slowly entered the tavern, trying our best not to turn any heads. I had no idea if ghouls were welcome here, but considering our past experiences I highly doubted it. As he headed to the bar I let go of his jacket, mesmerized by all the different people I was seeing. Maybe someday I could convince Cooper to stay awhile in a town like this.
"Well, hello beautiful." I heard a voice from behind me. I turned around to see a tall, skinny man with shaggy brunette hair and dark brown eyes.
I hesitated. My first instinct was to tell him to fuck off, but maybe I could get some information out of him so I gave him an award-winning smile before responding. "Hello. Maybe you can help me? I am trying to find out where I can find someone named Moldaver." I batted my eyelashes at him, giving him my best doe-eyed expression.
His eyebrows shot up in surprise as her name rolled off my tongue. He briefly looked me up and down as if trying to ascertain if I was friend or foe. After a brief pause, he asked, "You lookin' da join er?"
I nodded quickly, trying to hide the fact that I had no idea what I was talking about.
"Well," He continued. "Today is ya lucky day. I could take ya to er. We are real close." He boasted. The lie about their relationship was clear on his tongue.
"That's amazing!" I faked amazement, trying to milk his attraction for more information. "Where is she?"
"In da hills." He continued to spill information like a fountain without a second thought. "My name is Roofus, by the way."
I hummed for a moment before responding, "Nice to meet ya." I mumbled while looking around for Cooper. Our eyes finally locked as I found him leaning back against the bar. His arms were crossed and his hat was tilted down, I could barely see his eyes peeking out from behind it. Anger radiated from his form, causing those around him to instinctively find somewhere else to stand. I gulped nervously as I took him in.
"Hey-" Roofus waved his hand in front of my face, catching my attention again. 'That guy scarin' ya?"
'No." I answered quickly. The last thing I needed was for this guy to confront Cooper, but he seemed to have a mind of his own.
Puffing up his chest as he started to make his way towards Cooper's imposing figure and ignored my pleas to stop. "Don't ya worry sweetheart, I'll get rid of  im’."
I gave Cooper a nervous glance as I saw him straighten his back and move his hand to rest on his gun belt, suspiciously close to the gun itself.
"Hey. Ya scaring my lady." Roofus accused Cooper confidently.
"Your lady?" Cooper laughed loudly at the thought. "She ain't yours."
"This is Roofus," I said quickly, interrupting their conversation. "And Roofus, this man is my friend." I made sure not to say Cooper's name, knowing how protective he was of it. However, this just seemed to piss Cooper off more.
"Your friend?" Roofus asked, surprise clear on his face.
"Roofus, huh? Stupid name." Cooper sneered.
Roofus prickled with anger, but before he could start yelling at the ghoul in front of him, Cooper interrupted him. “See, I heard somethin’ about a Roofus while at the bar here. Said your movin’ some cargo.” Roofus’ anger switched to confusion at Cooper’s words. “Movin’ cargo for Moldaver.” Cooper finished as he stepped closer.
At the mention of Moldaver, Roofus looked back at my nervous form. “Who da hell are ya people?”
“People you should be afraid of.” Cooper growled. “Now, you are gonna tell me how to find Moldaver, or I’ll rip your guts out.”
Roofus’ hand move instinctively over his coat pocket and the noise of crumpling paper was heard underneath, “I ain’t telling ya shit, ghoul.”
Cooper hummed, his venom turning to amusement as Roofus unknowingly gave him the information he needed. Her location was on that paper in his jacket. “Have it your way.” Cooper said before a gunshot rang out in the busy tavern. I squealed in surprise as Roofus’ body hit the ground. The room went quiet as Cooper belt down to pull out the letter from the dead man’s pocket. I looked around nervously as all eyes were on us.
“Cooper,” I whispered.
Ignoring me, Cooper stood back up eyeing the paper. “Damn.” He mumbled as he studied the hole in it before folding it and sticking it into his jacket pocket.
“Cooper.” I hissed loudly as I saw some people start to get up from their seats, anger clear on their faces.
“Don’t get your panties in a bunch, boys.” Cooper said looking up at the angry men. “Just a bit o’ business, and I got none with you.”
“You better get the hell out of here, ghoul.” One of the men growled before spitting on the ground in front of us.
I knew this would piss Cooper off, so I quickly grabbed his hand and started dragging him to the door. He ripped his hand from my grasp but continued following close behind me. When we finally made it out of the village, I released a breath I didn’t know I was holding. However, before I could register what was happening, Cooper roughly grabbed at my shirt collar pulling me close to him. “What the hell was that?” Cooper growled, staring down at me angrily. “Flirting with other men in front of me? Acting like a slut?”
I squeaked in surprise. Never in a million years did I think he would ever speak to me this way. “Coop, I was just tryin’ to help.” I pleaded, but he wasn’t listening.
“You are MY slut. You understand me? No one else can touch you. No one else can even fuckin’ look at you.” He ranted as one of his fists flew to the hair on the back of my head, tugging harshly.
I gasped loudly at his actions. I never took him for the jealous type, but here he was completely overtaken by it, and much to my surprise I liked it. I pressed my thighs together while I complied, “Yes Coop, I am your slut. Only yours.”
This seemed to appease him as his grip loosened on the back of my head as he pressed his body against mine. “Good,” He hummed. “Never do that again.”
“I wont. I wont ever.” I responded as my hands trailed up his chest and cupped his face softly. “I’m sorry I upset you.”
He studied my face for a moment before pulling away with a grunt. It was clear he was still angry with me. I watched intently as he pulled out the letter from Roofus and read it. I didn’t know it was possible, but his face soured even more.
“Well I’ll be damned.” Cooper mumbled. “I shot right through the damn location.” He said sighing.
“Roofus was the son of an old friend of mine.” He said before looking up at me. “Let’s pay him a visit.”
-
It didn’t take us long to find the man’s house. As we entered, however, only a little girl was home.
“Well, hello darlin’. Your daddy home?” Cooper asked nicely.
The girl just shook her head in response. Much to our surprise she didn’t seem scared of us. She just stared up at us with a blank expression.
“What is your name, sweetie?” I asked as I bent down to her level.
“Sandra.” The small girl replied.
“I’m an old friend of your daddy,” Cooper said while looking around the small home. “When will he be home?”
“Soon, it’s almost dinner time.” Sandra responded.
At the mention of dinner, my stomach gurgled. My face reddened with embarrassment as I looked down at my feet. “Well, my girl and I have traveled a long way so why don’t you get us some dinner too?” Cooper said while putting a hand on my shoulder.
The girl just nodded in response before heading to the kitchen. I slowly stood up from the ground, giving Cooper a sheepish expression before looking around the home. It was a nice little place. The walls were covered with wood panels and metal sheets, but it was homey, much nicer than the one I grew up in.
As if he could sense my thoughts, Cooper asked, “Remind you of home?”
“This ain’t nothin’ like my home.” I responded quickly as I studied the shelf on the wall. “Much nicer.”
He hummed quietly before sitting down at the table and placing his hat down next to him. I waited there in silence for a bit, the only noises to be heard was from Sandra puttering in the kitchen. “What are you gonna do?” I asked as I sat down at the table next to him.
He studied my face for a moment before responding, “Depends on them, darlin’.” I just nodded while I picked at my fingers. I understood what he meant. Whether he would kill them or not depended on if they complied or not. A feeling of dread settled in my stomach as I thought of Sandra.
Before I could say anything, Sandra returned with two plates of dinner. I looked up at her in surprise at the contents. Wonderful smelling meats graced the plate in from of me, brahman maybe? And definitely some chicken. “Thank you, Sandra!” I said excitedly as I grabbed the silverware from her hands. I can’t even remember the last time I had a meal that looked this good.
Sandra didn’t respond, instead disappearing back into the kitchen quietly. I quickly started cutting up the meat, a grin plastered over my face. I heard Cooper chuckle next to me, no doubt amused at my excitement, but I paid him no mind. He slowly followed suit, cutting up his meat slowly as he watched me. As the brahman hit my tongue I moaned with happiness. After weeks of iguana and jerky, this felt like a meal fit for a king.
The door swung open as a man and a young boy entered the building, a look of confusion on their faces. I ignored them as I continued to eat happily. I trusted Cooper to handle it, but he stayed quiet as well, just staring at the man and slowly bringing the meat to his mouth.
“Sandra?” The man called out only to be greeted with silence. I looked up at him and then over to Cooper who was maintaining eye contact with him. Before he could call out again, Sandra’s footsteps could be heard as she entered the room with two glasses of water in her hands. She quietly put them on the table. Her father visibly deflated with relief at the sight of her.
“Thank you, darlin’.” Cooper said to her before looking back up at the father, “Oh, wait. You thought?...” Cooper said smirking as he held up a piece of meat on his fork. “Come on now.” He said laughing.
“Sandra, wait outside.” The man said, his voice wavering with fear. The girl quickly did as she was told.
“Lead farmin’, huh?” Cooper said, continuing the conversation. “Why, hell, I probably still got some of your lead in me somewhere. But today, I am just lookin’ for information.”
“I’ll tell you anything, as long as you leave us in peace.” The man said. I could tell he was trying to act confident, but his voice continued to waver.
“Say, am I out of date, or did I hear you had three kids?” Cooper asked as he pulled out the letter from his jacket.
“I had an older son, but he’s gone. He took up with that madwoman in the hills two years ago. We haven’t heard from him since.” The man explained.
Cooper smirked as he looked down at the letter, “There’s always some new little faction, ain’t there? Brand new team of believers with their own dumbass ideas about how they gonna save the world. What did you say the name of your eldest was? Was it Roofus?” At the mention of Roofus’s name I instinctively winced, remembering how mad Cooper was at me for talking to him. This didn’t go unnoticed as Cooper’s eyes flickered towards me for a second before returning to the man.
“I didn’t say-“ The man started to respond.
“That must make you Tommy.” Cooper interrupted.
The man looked over at his son before angrily asking, “What did you do? What is that envelope?”
“Well, you see, daddy-o, from what I can tell…” Cooper says clearing his throat. “… Old Roofus got Tommy here mixed up with that madwoman, too. Now according to this. Roofus sent Tommy a stash of caps to pay a courier for the safe transport of an Enclave defector, to that very same madwoman in the hills. Moldaver.” Cooper explained with a smirk plastered across his face.
“Now the problem is, by the time I got this letter off your brother,” Cooper said addressing Tommy, “It was a little bit hard to read.” Cooper held up the letter, peaking his eye through the bullet hole. “For some reason I can’t make out her location.” He looked back over at the father before saying “You really should’ve taught your boy to not play with toys that aren’t his. Maybe you’d still have two sons. Now you give me that location, and I’ll be on my way.”
The man and his son looked at each other before Tommy said, “I’m sorry.”
“Tell him, son. Just tell him.” The father pleaded.
“I didn’t want to spend my life digging through dirt.” Tommy explained. “I want to build something, and we have the chance-“
“Tell him what he wants to know or else he’s gonna kill us all!” His father yelled, interrupting him. “Including your little sister.”
Tommy stared Cooper down. “Huh.” Cooper hummed, surprised by this turn of events. I had stopped eating at this point, my attention turned fully to the men in front of us.
“You should tell him.” I said softly, giving the boy a reassuring look. “Listen to your father.”
Tommy looked between me and Cooper before surrendering. “She’s… she’s at the Observatory.”
“Now please, leave us.” The father pleaded.
Cooper sighed deeply before saying, “So, what you think, Tommy? Am I really walking out of here today, or are you gonna draw on me for what I did to your big brother?”
Tommy’s eyes darkened at Cooper’s words as rage filled his expression.
“He won’t.” The father responded.
“Maybe not today, but someday.” Cooper said, eyes never leaving Tommy. Understanding the threat Tommy reached for the shotgun next to him, but he was too slow. Before I even realized what was happening, Tommy was on the ground, a gunshot through his chest.
“Tommy!” His father yelled as he crouched down over his son’s body.
Cooper stood up and slowly started to collect his things, signaling me to follow. As we passed by the father, I gave him a sad expression but said nothing.
This was just how the Wasteland worked. Kill or be killed.

“Lainie come on, the boys are catching up!” Emma called from the front of our group. I laughed and shook my head.
“The boys,” I said, “are still one clue behind us, and they’re going the wrong way.” The girls laughed.
“Okay but we still don’t know where we’re going!” Emma groaned. The girls stopped and turned to me. “Will you look at the clue again?” She asked, holding the card out. I nodded and took it from her. I read over the words on the page. ‘Frisbee, No! Football! Softball? Maybe flashlight tag! Just don’t wander too far from the pack when its dark or you’ll get lost in the woods.’ I thought for a moment while the girls continued to bicker.
“It’s gotta be the softball field by the lake!” Nikki argued.
“They said there won’t be two clues in one area, we already found our clue there under home plate!” Emma said. I stared at the card for a little longer and it clicked. I knew exactly where we were going. And if the boys had caught up then Logan would too.
“Girls follow me! There’s no more time for arguing, come on!” I spun on my heels and we took off in the other direction.
“Where are we going?” One of them squealed from behind me.
“We’re going for  a hike!” I said. They didn’t argue but the puzzled look on their faces was priceless. I lead them to the opening of the path in the forest.
“What does this have to do with a sports field?” Nikki asked.
“You’ll see,” I said. “Hurry I think I hear the boys!” We took off in the woods. I tried to remember the path but it had been years since I’d been on this path. And it hadn’t been in the daylight.
“You’re gonna let the girls beat us?” I heard Sy say somewhere behind us. They were catching up. The twigs snapped under our feet as I started to run quickly down the path trying to remember.
“They’re catching up!” Emma called.
“We can’t out run Sy have you seen that guy?” Nikki panted.  I looked back at the girls and laughed.
“Come on, don't quit on me now! We’re almost there! I think..” I snickered.
“You think?” One of them questioned from behind me. Instead of answering I lead them on a sharp left off the path through a small space in the trees. The boys were right behind us. Logan knew exactly where he was going. We had to find the last clue first. The counselors had a cheat sheet to help lead to the clue but we were only allowed to lead our campers to the right area not help them find the clue. The girls had to do this by  themselves.
“Where do we even look? It’s all grass and trees!” Emma was extremely competitive and her brother was in Sy’s cabin. She was hellbent on not letting the boys win.
“Read the clue again,” I suggested.
“I’ve read it like 10 times! You’re the one that got us here!!” she cried. It took everything in me to hold back my laughter. I forgot how dramatic teenagers were. It wasn’t so long ago that I was one.
“Okay, calm down,” I said softly.
“Lainie this is no time for calm!” she said. Just then Ethan and the rest of the boys came running through the trees. “See!!” she said.
“They haven’t found it yet!” one of the boys said. And they started running around the field flipping over rocks and shaking tree limbs.
Sy stood leaning against a tree with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. I walked over and watched our kids all searching in a panic. It was chaos.
“That …is your strategy?” I asked. Watching one of the boys attempt to climb up a tree.
“Got us this far.” he said tearing his eyes away from the group and looking over at me. “You worried we’re gonna beat you?” He raised an eyebrow. I laughed so hard I snorted. I blushed covering my face.
“Not a chance, pretty boy.” I smiled and bit my lip. Sy smiled and inched closer.
“You remember this spot?” He asked his voice just above a whisper. I nodded. My cheeks felt even hotter.
“I do. You got us in trouble.” I said.
“That’s not how I remember it,” He chuckled. We heard a loud gasp from one of the girls.
“I found something!” immediately the boys groaned.
“You cheated!” Ethan yelled. Nikki rolled her eyes.
“We did not cheat, if you guys didn’t search like cavemen maybe you’d have found something! Whatcha got Em?” She asked her.
Emma stared at the little charm in her hand confused.
“It’s not a card like the others but it has our cabin letter on it like it's supposed to.” she said. I walked over and looked at it Trying to hide the smile on my face. Logan and I of course knew what the twist at the end was. “What is it?” she asked gesturing to the charm.
“It looks like it’s incomplete. Look on the side, that’s a tiny magnet. Like it’s supposed to connect to something, and on the back where our let is… it started to spell and …but it’s cut off.”
“So we have to help the boys find their piece?” Nikkie asked.
“Yup,” Sy nodded leaning in over my shoulder. “We have to return back to campfire site with our complete charm as a family before everyone else to win the scavenger hunt.” He said. Without another word the kids scattered. They broke off into teams of two each boy and girl. Searching together.
“Where did you find your piece?” Chase asked Emma frantically.
Nikki yelled at Ethan as he tried to climb another tree. They were all workign hard searching to find the other piece.
 All except one.
Beckett still lagged behind, I followed Sy as he approached him.
“Hey man, How was Ryleigh, when you she left?” he asked him. He was startled not expecting us to be there. I watched as he tried to put on a face for us. Trying to mask his anxiety. I was a pro at that, or I thought I was. Logan always managed to see throught it when we were kids. I’m sure he could now too.
“She was okay, her ankel was really hurting, though. I just feel bad.” Sy nodded and put a hand on his shoulder.
“That’s not your fault Beck. Stuff like this happens all the times. Lainie and I had a friend that sprained her ankle during a game of kick ball while we we’re here. Accidents happen. Don’t beat yourself up bud.” Beckket nodded sadly.
“Yeah,” He mumbled softly. “Uh her parents said if her ankles not broken and if she can take it easy she can come back to camp. And the nurse told Ryleigh while we were waiting she doesn’t think it’s broken.” He said. I gave him a soft smile.
“Thats great. I’m sure she’ll be just fine and we’ll be seeing her in no time. You guys were becoming good friends huh?” I asked. I looked over at Sy and he was already looking in my direction trying to hide a smirk. Beckett ran his hand through his hand nervously and face got red.
“Yeah. She’s just really cool and um…”
“WE FOUND IT! Ethan yelled from across the field.
“That’s our Que,” Logan smiled and nodded toward the others. We quickly joined them and found that they had in fact found the other piece connecting the two into one charm.
“What did we find exactly?” Nikki asked.
I observed the charm in Emma’s hand. It was round. Almost spiraled with little square pieces etched into it.
“It looked like an old film reel. But we’ll have to find out!”
“She’s right! We better head back to the campfire circle before we lose first place let’s go!” Sy called. He managed to get them all amped up again. Even Beckett. It was cute how competitive he was still. I couldn’t help the giggle that escaped me.
“What’s that all about?” He smiled as we jogged behind the kids following them back to camp.
“Nothing,”I said, “you're just, still you.” I blushed softly. Logan chuckled.
“I’d hope so.”  He raised an eyebrow and I laughed
“No, I mean, you really haven’t changed since we were here, it’s …cute” I smiled. He smiled big, pulling me in and stopping to kiss my head.
“You’re still that same beautiful girl I never stopped thinking about.” He said. I looked up at him for a moment. I was lost in the way he was looking at me. Like I was the only thing that existed in that moment.
“Lainie! Sy! Come on! Carrie and Andrew’s Cabins are catching up we have to go!” Emma called. Our trance broke and we both looked at each other wide eyed before we started running again. An awkward giggle escaped my lips but the moment had passed, we didn’t have time to discuss it anymore. We quickly caught up to our campers and we jogged the rest of the way to the campfire, which was about as far away as a football field. We just beat the other cabin there by about 20 seconds.
Emma and Nikki and Ethan all ran to the center where the camp director Becca was waiting  for them.
“Alright! Our first place scavenger hunt Winners!  Cabin C and Cabin H. Let’s see your charm!” She said enthusiastically. Emma handed it to her. “Great! So since you’ve one first place you get the first choice to either Make a trade or keep your charm. Your charm tells us what  your activity is for tonight. And this one!” she paused looking at the piece in her hand. “Is a drive in movie night ont he lawn! Grab your blankets. We’ll have plenty of snacks and if your counselors are nice enough you may just get a double feature!” She looked over at us and winked. “You’ll get an opportunity to do all of the activities in the scavenger hunt. This just means you get first pick. Its up to you.” She handed back the charm and greeted her next group, turning them loose back to us.
Sy was the first to speak when they headed back our way.
“Well what do you think? Should we hold on to it and wait to see what everyone else has? Or should we keep it and plan our movie night?” The kids thought for a minute. Some of them were obviously exhausted from all the running. Then Beckett spoke.
“I think we should keep it! We’ve done a lot of running around today already. It’s supposed to be nice out tonight and if Ryleigh comes back it’ll be super chill and it’ll be something she can handle with her bad ankle and she won’t have to feel left out right when she gets back… uh.. If everyones cool with that?” Sy silently put a hand on his shoulder and I smiled.
“I think that’s a great idea Beckett. I certainly don’t want anyone left out. It’s nice of you to think of her.” One of the boys snickered but Ethan turned and smacked him on the back of the head.
“Dude shut up,” He said.
“I didn’t say anything!” Chase argued.
“You were gonna! If homeboy wants to be in love, let him.”
“Boys!” Sy Barked quickly stopping their argument and saving Beckett from further embarrassment. “Knock it off, you’re both pretty.” he smirked. “But we’ve got other things to settle.” The girls fell into a fit of giggles. Before finally answer the matter at hand.
“I don’t mind,” Nikki said. “I’m tired already and we still have half the day left. We should just chill tonight! And I want our friend to be included!” she said.
“Yeah me too! I really like Ryleigh, I feel so bad that she got hurt! I want to help her feel better when she gets back. I think that’s a good idea Beckett!” Emma said. The other girls in our cabin agreed. The all seemed to have bonded quickly that first night. Ryleigh was quiet but I guess I wasn’t the only one keeping an eye on her. That made me feel good.
The boys agreed. Ethan saying something about ‘bro code’. If looks could kill Beckett would have knocked him out.
We headed back to the campfire and the kidslet Becca know that we were staying with our movie night. I checked my watch and saw we still had like 3 hours to kill before dinner. We were going so hard for the scavenger hunt we literally almost missed lunch.
“Okay, Well you guys have free time now. If you're gonna swim or go Boating give yourself enough time to get back here and dry off for dinner! If you need either one of us I think I’m gonna head down to the beach myself and Sy…?” I asked, looking over. Again his eyes were already on me. My throat immediately went dry.
“I’m gonna head down to the beach too, you know where to find us or you can find anyone with a radio and they can get ahold of us for you! Be safe, don't do anything stupid! Go have fun! We’ll meet you at the dining hall at 5:45!” He told them. They were running off in different directions before he could finish his sentence. “And then there were two,” He chuckled.
“Yeah,” I chuckled, “and here I thought they liked us,” I said. Sy let out a soft laugh his shoulder brushing against mine. “I should, go get ready,” I blushed. “I’ll… meet you at the lake?” I asked.”
“Uh, Yeah,” He cleared his throat, “I’ll see you there,” He said quickly. And we headed off in separate directions.
This was turning out to be much harder than I thought. It’s clear that we both want each other. But its not like we can be reckless and flirty and be all over each other when the kids are around. And I’m not sure thats what I want. I can’t get over the way he kissed me in the woods this morning. I can still taste him on my tongue. Being near him. Lights something up in me. But I’m terrified. I’ve never really done this before. Everything he’s done for me. Even without touching me, makes me feel better and makes me feel good. What if I can’t do that for him. What if I’m bad at it. I clearly don’t have nearly as much experience as he does. I don’t have any at all. What if we when I am ready… I suck at it. And When would we even have time for something like that? Does he want that? Am I not doing enough for him now? No, he would say something, and we literally just saw each other for the first time in 7 years 2 days ago! but… What does he expect from me? I felt my heart racing.
When I got back to the cabin it was empty. All of the girls were running around elsewhere. I flopped down onto my bunk and took a deep breath. Breathe Lainie. You're not a child anymore. You’re the adult here. I took one more deep inhale before I sat up and started to sift through my bag. My best friend had talked me into bringing a couple of two pieces I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with. As I was pulling the bathing suits out there was a knock on the door. Surely that couldn’t be Logan.
I stood quickly and opened the door. Ryleigh was there with her Dad. She was on crutches but her ankle was only wrapped tightly in a bandage. “Hey, sweetheart!” I said quickly trying to keep the surprise off my face. I looked at her dad and gave him a gentle smile, “what did we find out?” I asked him? He returned my sympathetic look and patted Ryleigh on the shoulder.
“It’s sprained but not too bad. Dr just wants her to take it easy a couple of days, try to stay off of it best she can. But he okayed her to come back. And she begged us. I couldn’t say no.” He chuckled.
“Dad,” she blushed.
“Alright, you just be careful, watch out for any flying footballs” he winked teasing her.
“Ugh,” she groaned. I chuckled softly.
“We’ll take good care of her and keep her in one piece. Thank you for bringing her back! The kids were worried about her!” I told him. We said our goodbyes and I let Ryleigh get settled in.  “Are you doing okay, How are you feeling?”  I asked her. She sat on her bunk and let out a deep exhale that resonated with me  more than it should have.
“My ankle hurts,”She said flatly. “But it’s really not too bad. I think I’m just overwhelmed. That was a lot happening at once.” I nodded and walked over  to sit with her on her bunk.
“I understand. We were all really concerned about you, I’m glad you came back!” I told her. She smiled shyly.
“I was having fun, I wasn’t gonna let this stop me,” She said.
“I’m really glad to hear that!” I smiled. She looked over at my bunk, her eyes landing on the swim suits.
“Were you about to go to the beach?” she asked.
“I was, I was going to meet Sy down there, but If you wanna chill out and relax for a while I can hang out here with you!” I offered.
“Actually… Can I come with you? I’ll have to just sit in the sand but I wanna get out in the sun and not just mope around.” she said.
“Of course you can! Do you think you can get down there okay?” I asked, gesturing to her ankle. She nodded.
“I’ll figure it out.”  she said. We both changed into more beach appropriate attire. I went back and forth for a moment about which swimsuit to wear, it was Ryleigh that helped me decide.
“He already likes you, ya know.” she said. “Sy, I noticed the way he looks at you. But if you want his attention… The blue two piece is really cute.” she said. I wanted to protest. Or to retort with literally anything. But I couldn’t. I wasn’t naive enough to believe that the kids wouldn’t see it or not notice at some point. And Ryleigh was incredibly observant. I did end up wearing the blue two piece. After throwing on some shorts to walk down to the beach  and grabbing a towel, Ryleigh and I left the cabin.
She did really well with her crutches until we hit the sand. Sy saw us immediately and stepped over to help.
“Hey, you made it back!” He greeted her with a smile. He took her crutches and I let her lean on me
“Yeah, it’s just a sprain!” She answered, with a shy smile.
“You need some help?” He asked her. She shook her head and I walked with her as she slowly hopped along the sand.
“She’s got!” I assured him. She found a spot to settle in, refusing to let me help her lay down her towel. She was stubborn. “You want us to hang out here without?” I offered. Again she shook her head.
“I brought a book with me in my bag. I’m just gonna chill here!” She smiled. I nodded and Sy gave her a gentle smile.
“Alright darlin’ we won’t be far. Let us know if you need anything!” he said. Ryleigh nodded. We left her alone walking off a little further down the beach.
Now that we were alone and I had the chance to look at him, I suddenly felt shy. He looked so good. We stopped and set my towel up next to his and I had to stop myself from staring. He was shirtless. Of course he was, we were spending the afternoon by the water. His chest was strong and covered in hair that trailed down his toned stomach. I quickly flicked my eyes back to his. By the smirk on his face it was clear I’d been caught. Neither of us said anything. I sat down on my towel taking in the sun. I closed my eyes and stretched my legs out in front of me leaning back on my hands.
“I needed this” I finally spoke. “It’s beautiful out here today.” Logan hummed softly in response. When I looked up his eyes were still on me before he finally sat down next to me.
“It sure is.” He said. “Does this feel crazy to you too? Sittin here together again after all this time?” he asked. I nodded.
“It does, It’s weird. I never thought I would see you again. But now we’re here repeating the past. It’s like deja vu.” I laughed softly.
“Or fate, bringing us back together again.” He smiled. He looked over at me brushing a strand of hair out of my eyes.
“Logan,” I blushed. “I-I’m gonna go swim. Do you wanna join me?” I asked standing up quickly trying to avoid the moment. I quickly took my shorts off leaving me in just my bathing suit and ran toward the water. I figured he would follow. When I turned back Logan was still standing there with a sultry look in his eye, staring at me. And suddenly I felt naked. A shiver made its way down my spine before I finally found my voice to speak. “Are you coming or are you just gonna stand there staring all day?” I joked.
Logan let out a chuckle before he ran toward me. I squealed, running into the water but he was faster than I was. He knelt down scooping me up in his arms carrying me further into the water. Instinctually I wrapped my arms around his neck holding on tight.
“Put me down!” I kicked at the water in protest. He adjusted me in his arms, holding me close and letting his hand slide up to my hip.
“Nope, You’re right where you should be.” I blushed. “You look so damn good,” He licked his lips, his eyes trailing up my body. I bit my lip feeling a bit self conscious in this position.
“Logan there are so many people around right now.” I reminded him. He groaned, dropping his head to my shoulder. He set me down in the water. But he grabbed my hips underwater pulling me close. His lips brushed against my ear as he spoke.
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep my hands off of you?” he whispered. I swallowed hard as he pulled away looking me in the eyes with a mischievous smile. I felt his thumbs graze against my hips making it difficult to stay upright, let alone string together a sentence.
“Sy, I -I can’t. I mean. I…don’t know how. I’ve never….” I couldn’t say it. But the way his eyes suddenly soften told me he knew what I was trying to say. I was afraid I couldn’t keep up with him. I couldn’t please him. I’ve touched myself…I’d have got bat shit crazy by now if I hadn’t found some kind of release. I’ve never gone any further. My breath caught in my throat when he spoke again.
“I’d be happy to show you darlin, we’ll go slow.” He said softly. The moment was ruined quickly by a group of campers that had gotten ahold of some super soakers. We had become collateral in their water war.
“Sorry Lainie!” Ethan yelled as he aimed his gun at Chase.
“It’s my bad bud, The middle of the lake is fair game for a water fight. But watch out for the little ones okay?” He gave me a nod and quick thumbs up before dodging getting sprayed by Zach who was a few feet away.  “Do you encourage this behavior?” I looked up at Logan with a smirk, I watched him chuckle softly. “I don’t discourage it.” I laughed
“That checks out.” I said. He looked at me with a raised brow.
“Really, and whats that supposed to mean?” He challenged. I smirked as he watched me carefully.
“Just that you always liked to start trouble.” I giggled splashing him playfully.
“Oh is that right?” He grinned as a slowly started to back away, looking over my shoulder to make sure I wasn’t going to run into anyone. “Because I don’t remember ever getting caught for anything, unless… you were there.” I took off running in the water as quickly as I could. Which, arguably, was pretty slow. Logan ran behind me and we continued splashing each other.
“I was a good kid until I met you Syverson!” I squealed trying to get away from him. “We only got in trouble because it was your idea!” He caught up to me by the dock and caught me around my waist.
“You didn’t have to go along with it,” He smiled. I pouted turning around.
“I did. Because you’re so cool and so cute and I had a crush on you and… I just wanted to hang out with you. And you knew that!” I swatted at his chest playfully, “and you still did things that got us into trouble knowing I would go with you!” I watched as he took a moment to look around and then he chuckled.
“You know we’re still in the middle of everybody,” He said, reluctantly letting go of my waist.
“I know, we suck at this.” I laughed. Logan paused, thinking for a moment.
“You still wanna hang out with me?” I raised an eyebrow curiously and nodded.
“Of couse I do!” I smiled.
“Well, if you aren’t doing anything later, me and bunch of really cool kids are seeing a movie on the lawn, if you wanna be my date?”  I soft giggle escaped me. He made it feel like we were still the campers. Of course it’s not like we were old. But it felt like we could be carefree and wild again.
“I’ll think about it.” I answered.
***************************
Later that night after dinner and the end of the evening campfire, we set up for our movie. Logan and I set up the Projector Screen and set up the projector while the kids were off in the cabin getting lawn chairs and blankets. We discussed Movie options at dinner. Somehow they all ended up agreeing on the new Top Gun. I don’t know how but That was Logan’s fault.
“You know, you didn’t tell me I’d be working during this date,” I teased as we finished tying the screen up to the pavilion.
“So it is a date then?” he smirked. He walked over turning on the projector to make sure it was working.
“Yeah, it is.” I stated. He walked over quickly taking a look around before pulling me against him and placing a soft kiss on my lips. I breathed him in kissing him back slowly. It was only a short soft kiss. But it had my head spinning, and my heart racing. I held onto his shoulder as we pulled away and he smiled.
“I wish it wouldn’t have wasted so much time not kissing you. I can’t get enough.” He murmured softly. I blushed. I heard chatter in the distance and I was sure it was some of our campers.
“We should, get this set up and get settled in,” I stuttered. Sy finished setting up the movie waiting to play until all of the campers set up their chairs and blankets to lounge on the lawn. I watched them all get settled for a while. Beckett helped Ryleigh get settled. He was so excited when he saw she had made it back to camp. The two of them were sat on a blanket together. They probably would watch much of the movie. They'll likely just talk. They're so sweet.
Logan and I sat together on a blanket at the very back behind all of them so we could keep an eye on them. At least that was his excuse. But after the movie started to play and the kids were distracted Logan started making his move.
“You warm enough?” He asked, noticing me tug my hoodie sleeves down over my hands.
“Yeah, Just a little cold.” I stated. He grabbed the extra blanket and scooted closer.
“C’mere,” He spoke and stretched his legs out leaving space for me to sit between them. I bit my lip and hesitated for a moment. Before settling between his legs and leaning back against his chest. He laid the blanket over our laps and wrapped his arms around me. “Better?” his breath was hot against my ear.
“Mhmm,” I hummed biting my lip. We stayed just like that for a while. Logan ran his hands up and down my arms to keep me warm. He started to press a few kisses to my shoulder. And then soft kisses to my neck.
“You looked so good today in that little two piece. You were driving me crazy.” He mumbled, still lazily pressing kisses to my neck.
“Logan, we.. I… can’t,” I stuttered. Trying to find my words. I held in a moan as he started to softly suck on my neck. “Please, we shouldn’t,” I said, trying to make sense.
“Shhh, relax Darlin,” he cooed in my ear, “I’m not gonna do anything you don’t want me too. I just wanna right my wrong, shouldn’t have left each other like we did back then. I wanna make you feel good, show you how you should be treated. Will you let me?” He whispered.  I swallowed hard. He had slipped his hands under my hoodie and his thumb was brushing against the skin of my lower belly. The soft touch made me want more. I turned my head meeting his eyes. Although they were filled with lust and desired and want, they were sincere. I knew he’d never do anything I wasn’t okay with. I knew he’d never hurt me. I knew I was safe here in his arms. I nodded.
“Please,” I whispered. Logan kissed me softly and reluctantly pulled away.
“Good girl. Now you just watch the movie and let me take care of you baby.” I kept my eyes on the screen as I felt him slip his hand past the waistband of my shorts. “Gonna go slow baby, just gonna make you feel good.” He whispered in my ear.
I bit my lip holding in a gasp as his fingers grazed my clit. He brushed them down my folds circling my entrance letting out a deep groan. “So wet darlin, can’t wait to feel you.” he spoke softly. He moved his fingers back up pressing them against my clit teasing me in small circles. I clutched his arm holding in a moan. “Easy baby, you like that?” he asked. I nodded. He kept toying with my clit for moment before slowly pushing a finger inside me.
I let my head fall back against his shoulder as he started pumping in in out. I let out a soft whimper trying to stay quiet. “You need more baby?” he asked. Again I nodded. He added a second finger pumping them faster. I felt a pressure build in my stomach and I started to grind on his fingers.
“Thats it baby, you’re doing so good for me. You’re close aren’t ya,” He smirked kissing my neck.  I continued to chase my high and Logan pressed his thumb to my clit as he kept fucking me with is fingers. I couldn’t take anymore, I let head fall back against his shoulder. Logan used his other hand to cover my mouth to stifle my moan while I came on his hand.
“You’re so fucking beautiful.” He whispered in my ear as he held me. He slid his fingers out and I watches as he brought them to his lips sucking my juices off his fingers. “So good,” he groaned. He held me in his arms until the movie was over. We sent the kids back to get ready for bed as we packed every thing up.
“You alright?” he asked, when we closed the pavilion for the night. I blushed nodding.
“I’m great.” I giggled softly. He let out a laugh and pulled me in for a passionate kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck kissing him back.
“Easy baby, we’re taking slow, I don’t wanna push you too fast,” He smiled as we pulled away.
“You’re an amazing guy Logan,” I smiled. He lifted my chin giving me one last soft kiss.
“Goodnight sweet girl. See you tomorrow. He smiled.
“Good night Logan, I’ll see you in the morning.” I said, before we both reluctantly went our separate ways to check on our campers and settle in for the night. This summer was just getting started.

PJO Steddie Five
One | Two | Three | Four
Here it is! We learn El's parent in this one, and there's a wonderfully healthy dose of Steddie throughout the whole part.
There's a meme on this one, too lol
If you see any typos, no you didn't ^_^
-----
It should not have taken five days to drive from Athens, Tennessee, to Camp Half-Blood in Long Island. Eddie wouldn't be surprised if Chrissy and his bandmates thought he'd died some horrible death while on this retrieval. But Eddie would love to meet the person who can tell Steve and a gaggle of demigod children to hurry up and get to camp already. They spent two days at Hearth and Home just for the pool, and various stops along the way followed that same pattern.
It was, in all honesty, the most relaxed retrieval mission Eddie has ever fucking experienced. Only one monster ever gave them trouble (another harpy--go figure--that Steve dispatched with ease and no injury) while the rest would sniff around and eventually have their eyes glaze over like they'd lost interest or encountered something familiar. They'd then move on, leaving the group to continue their meal in relative peace.
But for as relaxed as Eddie and the kids are, Steve is ramped to the absolute limit. His shoulders remain tense, his leg bounces whenever he sits still too long, his eyes constantly survey their surroundings, and he seems to have placed a distance between himself and Eddie. It hurts to see, especially considering the literal spark between them, but Eddie tells himself it's just until they get to camp and Steve sees for himself that they're safe.
And that moment is getting closer as they hike up Half-Blood Hill, Steve's car left at the foot until Eddie can convince Chiron and Mr. D to let him park it in the camp itself. "That big tree there is where the protective barrier starts," Eddie explains, pointing at Thalia's tree. "It used to be a girl, but there was a whole thing with the Golden Fleece, and long story short, she's running around with Artemis now."
"Can I run around with Artemis?" Max asks, her voice eager as she falls back to keep pace with Steve and Eddie.
Steve snorts, and Eddie notices the way his hand tightens on his bat. His knuckles turn white and the muscles in his forearm straining slightly and Eddie has to look away before his mouth gets too dry. "Maybe when you're older," Steve says, "After you can beat me in a spar."
Max groans, stomping her way back to Lucas with hunched shoulders and a quiet mutter that she won't be winning anytime soon.
They reach the top of the hill then, and Eddie watches as the group slows down. El in particular falls back until she's next to Steve and can grip his hand tightly. Her beanie seems to be squirming, but the movement is so subtle that Eddie thinks he's probably seeing the air ripples from the heat. He hurries to the front of the group and grins at them. "Okay! You ready to enter Camp Half-Blood, AKA the best place ever?" he asks.
"Just get on with it already," Mike says, crossing his arms as Erica nods in agreement.
Eddie, in an incredibly mature move, sticks out his tongue, and he's rewarded with a quiet laugh from Steve. "As I was saying, once you pass by the tree, I'll introduce you to Chiron, the activities director here. After that, we'll get cabin arrangements, measure you for armor and swords, and give a full tour. Of course, I'll be the one showing you around, which means you'll be getting the best possible version of the tour."
He waits for applause, but it never comes, and Eddie pouts at them. "Can't you be more excited? This is, like, the first time I've managed to bring back kids who aren't terrified."
"Oh boy," Dustin says, his voice high and fake, "I can't wait for Eddie to show us around Camp Half-Blood."
"Joke all you like, Henderson, I'm taking it as a compliment," Eddie says, darting forward and pushing down the bill of Dustin's cap. He moves back easily and claps his hands. "Okay! Step on through, please."
The kids all glance back at Steve, and he smiles encouragingly. As a group, they move past the perimeter of the tree until only Steve and El are left standing on the edge. Eddie flashes a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, it's gonna be great. El and the kids can meet more demigods their age, and you, Stevie, can relax since you won't have any monsters coming after you."
Steve nods and looks at El. "You ready?" he asks. She holds his hand even tighter--and Eddie is starting to worry about Steve's bones here--but nods.
Together, they step over the threshold.
Or, well, Steve does. El is stuck on the other side, Steve's hand still in hers but unable to pull her through. Her shoulders drop, and despite Steve's best efforts, she can't get an inch over the barrier that ripples between them. Resigned, she looks down at their hands, her grip starting to loosen some.
Eddie stares at this scene with wide eyes, and a few things suddenly make sense. No wonder Steve wouldn't say who El's godly parent is. She technically doesn't have one. The odd protectiveness makes a lot of sense now, too. And so does the way monsters would apparently move on like the gaggle of demigods was uninteresting.
"Well," Steve says, breaking Eddie out of his epiphany, "we gave it a shot."
With that, he steps back through the barrier, the rest of the kids quickly follow suit, and Eddie can feel them slipping through his fingers. "Wait!" he shouts, relieved when Steve looks up at him.
He's about to give El permission, to say everything is gonna be fine, to beg on his fucking knees if that will keep Steve--and the kids, of course--from walking away.
This is, of course, when the fucking armored and armed barrier patrol (a tradition that never really faded despite the camp's renewed safety) decides to show up.
Eddie just can't get a fucking break, huh?
-------
The moment arrows, swords, and spears (among other weapons) are aimed at them, Steve shoves the kids behind him. El sticks the closest, practically hugging his back, but he knows she'll pull away if it comes down to a fight. Steve twirls his bat, his eyes narrowed as he takes stock of his potential opponents.
The barrier shimmers between the two groups, a slight haze in his vision, and Eddie stands in the middle, one foot on each side of the barrier, looking a little frazzled. That's when a girl comes forward, her blonde hair pulled in a ponytail, a bow in hand, and her quiver slung over her shoulder. She smiles at Eddie, bright like the sun, and Steve feels a familiar-but-not kind of buzzing under his skin.
"Eddie! You're okay!" she shouts, dashing forward and hugging him tightly.
Steve's throat feels tight as Eddie hugs her back, his grip on the bat straining until he hears the reinforced wood groan and forces himself to loosen up. "Eddie," he says, a huge part of him relieved when Eddie immediately looks at him.
The girl looks between the two of them, and her eyes widen, and she smiles excitedly, and Steve suddenly feels a little better.
"Hello, I'm Chrissy," she says, walking over to stand across the barrier from Steve. "We got an alert that a monster was trying to cross, so we came to offer help. Everything looks fine, though, so come on through."
Steve feels El tug on the back of his shirt as the kids shift nervously. "We're good, actually," Lucas blurts out, unable to handle the silence.
Chrissy blinks, her smile still present but her eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "You're...good?" she asks.
"Yeah," Steve says, licking his lips nervously, "I'm sure Camp Half-Blood is fun and all, but we can't stay."
"Why not? You'll be safer here."
Steve doesn't know how to answer that question, and El spares him the effort of trying to by saying, "I can't get through." He wants to spin around and grab her shoulders and ask what she's thinking, but it's El's choice to tell people, no matter how much Steve might disagree with her.
"Oh," Chrissy says, her smile dimming some before she brightens again. "Are you mortal? That's okay, we can just give you permission."
It's the perfect excuse, and Steve is ready to fucking run with it, but El shakes her head. "I'm not mortal," she says.
A heavy silence falls over the group on the other side of the barrier as the demigods understand what she means. "What kind of monster are you?" a boy asks, his hand twitching as though ready to reach for an arrow.
"Look, it doesn't matter," Steve says, a bad feeling forming in his gut. His nerves start buzzing on instinct, crackling and pulling at the clouds just a tiny bit. "We'll leave you alone and go our separate ways. You'll....you'll never see us again." And Steve can't help his voice softening, glancing at Eddie as he says that last part.
Because he wants to see Eddie again. He wants to learn about the literal spark they shared. He wants to know if Eddie's lips are soft or rough. But Steve always puts the kids first. Their safety comes before everything else, even himself.
"Wait! There's no need to go," Eddie says, holding his hands out to both sides but looking at Steve. "El isn't dangerous. We can still give her permission."
"Like Hades we are!" the same boy shouts.
"Jason!" Chrissy says, her tone hard as she whirls around.
Jason looks insulted and confused. "What are you yelling at me for? I'm not the one trying to bring a fucking monster into camp."
"She's not a monster! Stop saying that," Mike shouts, trying to push forward only for Steve to push him right back.
"Oh? Then what is she?" Jason asks.
"Her name is El," Steve says, his voice hard and unforgiving, "and she is my sister."
Several of the campers' eyes widen, and suddenly their bows are loaded and ready to shoot. "You brought two monsters to camp!" a girl shouts, glaring at Eddie.
Steve frowns, trying to control the building anger and wariness. Based on the slowly gathering clouds overhead, it's not working.
"Those things are dangerous," Jason says, his eyes narrowed. "I bet the rest are monsters in disguise, too."
"No!" Eddie shouts, "they got through the barrier."
"Oh? Prove it. Walk through right now."
The kids don't move an inch and neither does Steve. Chrissy turns back to them, an uncomfortable grimace tugging at her lips. "It would really help to diffuse things if you could just step over," she says softly.
"Not without El," Max says, glaring at the group.
"Or Steve," Lucas adds.
Despite everything, Steve can't help a wry smile and a joking, "Gee, thanks for thinking of me," thrown over his shoulder.
"Well, isn't that convenient," Jason sneers, "None of the monsters want to cross."
He pulls his bowstring back a little farther, and the clouds above them start to gather faster, tiny sparks jumping under Steve's hand on the bat. He grits his teeth, trying desperately to not get lost in anger, and takes a deep breath. "Listen, this obviously isn't going to work," he says, looking at Eddie. He smiles apologetically. "Thank you for trying, though. It was...a nice thought."
And then several things happen all at once.
Eddie's eyes widen, desperation seeps into them, and he shouts, "I give El permission to cross the barrier!"
El starts to move around Steve like she wants to talk to Chrissy herself, her beanie squirming obviously.
The rest of the kids behind Steve get caught up in El's movements and try to follow, pushing Steve forward a step and bumping El slightly to the side.
His annoyance flares, and dark clouds stretch above them with a quiet, nearly inaudible rumble of thunder.
Finally, an arrow is loosed from the group of demigods, and its path would have been true if not for the kids pushing Steve. Instead, it shoots El's beanie clear off her head and lands in the grass behind the kids, just barely missing Dustin and Will in the process.
Really, Steve can't be blamed for what happened next. Between El's snakes freaking out and the kids shouting and the arrow in the grass overpowering his vision, he really can't be blamed.
It's only understandable that he loses it, that his tenuous control fucking snaps.
A bellowing crack of thunder above them is the only warning the demigods get before a bolt of lightning strikes the ground right next to them. The sheer force of it creates a whole nearly two feet deep, knocking the demigods back a few feet as more bolts follow in its wake. Each one burns the ground where it strikes, and tiny fires feed on the grass.
Little arches of lightning jump across Steve's arms, his hair fluffing out slightly from the static. His chest is heaving from anger and electricity and the aftermath of so much tension finally breaking free as bolts corral the demigods into a tiny circle, striking all around them to prevent escape.
"Steve," El says, the sound of her grabbing his attention more than her words. But when Steve looks at her and sees the snakes on her head rubbing against each other and tasting the air and trying to stay as close to her scalp as possible, his anger flares again at the reminder of the arrow that could have killed his kids. Not only the arrow, but El's snakes could have hurt them, too. If not for the kids immediately squeezing their eyes shut, a few might be statues right now. Sure, it would wear off in a bit, and Steve is immune anyway since he's related to El, but it's fucking inconvenient and dangerous given the situation.
"Stay back," he growls, his words crackling with the lightning as he turns back to the demigods. They look scared shitless, and Steve hasn't even done anything yet. The only ones who haven't been corralled are Chrissy and Eddie, since neither of them actually did anything.
He steps forward, an arch of lightning stretching between his heel and the ground when he lifts his foot. The nails on his bat spark and glow red, looking nearly as angry as Steve feels. Steve crosses the barrier, feels it wash over him, and stops just on the other side. He smiles at the demigods, feral and unrestrained as a storm, and raises his hand to the sky.
Or he starts to only for his view to be blocked by brown hair in desperate need of a good shampoo and big brown eyes. Steve blinks, a tiny portion of his anger calming if only because he's looking at Eddie. "Move, Eds," he says.
"Stevie," Eddie whispers, his voice nearly drowned out by the rumbling thunder. So Steve pulls it back, forces it to quiet down so he can hear. "C’mon, sweetheart, there's no need to smite them. They've already peed themselves."
"They almost killed my kids," Steve says, his eyes narrowing slightly. "What would you do if you were me?"
"Well, I wouldn't look nearly as hot, for one," Eddie jokes, flashing a shaky smile.
"You're already plenty hot," Steve blurts, the shock of the words calming him down a tiny bit more. And, when he hears Lucas and Erica behind him complain as El thanks Will for retrieving her beanie, his anger finally soothes enough for lightning to stop striking the ground. The clouds are still hanging over them, though, and sparks still arch across his arms and through his hair.
Eddie's smile becomes a bit wider. "Seriously, sweetheart, there's no need," he promises. "I already gave El permission to enter. She can cross the barrier. Word will spread in camp that nobody can mess with her without getting their shit rocked by a very powerful son of Zeus. Don't you want to relax? Don't you want the kids to meet others like them? Don't you...don't you want to, you know, spend time together?"
Steve does want all of that. Especially that last one, because he's never been talked down from an unbridled, anger-fueled, lighting strike marathon this easily. Usually, the kids have to let him work through the anger and vent it all before he's back to normal.
He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes to focus on calming down. When Eddie hesitantly takes his hand, Steve calms down even faster, and the sparks that pass between their palms are harmless. "That's it, Stevie," Eddie whispers as Steve's shoulders relax. "Besides, you can always beat Jason's ass at capture the flag later."
Steve can't help laughing at that, and he opens his eyes to see Eddie's smile. "Looking forward to it," he says, squeezing Eddie's hand. Then he looks over his shoulder at the kids. "Is everyone okay?" he asks.
The kids are all gathered around El, who has secured her beanie over her head. Unfortunately, the arrow made a larger hole than expected, and two of her snakes are poking their heads out, tongues flicking as they taste the air. They aren't strong enough on their own to actually turn anyone to stone, so none of the kids avoid looking at them.
"We are fine," El says with a tiny smile as she steps forward. Steve is about to tell her to be careful when she walks through the barrier without a problem.
The other kids follow, sticking close to El and then orbiting toward Steve and Eddie. "That was awesome!" Dustin shouts, his eyes bright as he looks at the scorch marks that create a circle around the demigods that haven't moved an inch.
"Yes, it was awesome," a voice says, old and wise and belonging to a centaur that has trotted over from the camp gates and comes to a stop before them. "Though, probably not in the way you mean, young one."
"Chiron, hey, how's it going?" Eddie asks, rubbing the back of his neck as he shifts to stand in front of Steve. "This, uh, was all a misunderstanding, really."
Chiron raises an eyebrow at Eddie, but Steve can see the twinkle of amusement in his eyes. "I see. Is that so, Chrissy?" he asks.
"Yeah, it is," Chrissy says, nodding once as she glances at Jason, "because Jason was trigger-happy and wouldn't let anyone talk."
"I see," Chiron says again, looking back at Steve and the kids behind him. "Well, I look forward to hearing all about it and getting to know our potential campers at the Big House. Over some snacks, perhaps?"
He seems nice enough, and something about Chiron just makes Steve feel confident that nothing will happen to the kids. At least, not for the next hour or so, and that's good enough. Still, he can't help pushing just to see the extent of Chiron's patience. "Even if my sister's mother is a gorgon?" he asks, watching Chiron closely.
"Am I correct in assuming her mother is Medusa?" Chiron asks.
"Yes," El says, answering for Steve as the two snakes poking through rub their heads on Steve's arm. "She's very nice."
Chiron seems to be holding back an amused smile at that, and he nods. "I'm sure," he says, nodding once. "Yes, you are still welcome, my dear. After all, our very own Eddie Munson has vouched for you."
Steve can feel the kids behind him relaxing, and he glances at Eddie to see the relieved smile on his face. "Okay then," he says, looking back at Chiron, "lead the way."

When Raditz saw a red band hiked high up your left thigh, he was grateful. Grateful that the Supreme Kai allowed him to become an instructor in Conton City, grateful that you had taken up his training session, grateful that you were a fellow Saiyan. But he was most grateful for the fact that male Saiyan armor had a plate over the crotch. Without it, there would be no way to hide his aching boner.
Raditz swelled with pride at the sight of you wearing classic armor just like his. But the fact that you had copied the band he wore on his leg too? Devastatingly sexy.
“Like it?” you asked with a glint in your eye as you crested the hill, your preferred training ground outside the busy city.
Raditz smirked. “Suits you well,” he said, snapping the band against your muscular leg. “And it shows exactly who you belong to.”
You swished your tail and stretched the matching band against his taut bicep.
“It shows which new instructor belongs to me,” you purred with salacious eye contact. “I am your first student, right? Better make this training session worth my while, pretty boy.”
It had been like this since Raditz’s arrival to Conton City. The Supreme Kai of Time thought a high-level Saiyan Time Patroller would be perfect to show him around and whip him into an effective instructor. Had she known your chemistry was this good, she might have chosen differently. You couldn’t stop making bedroom eyes at each other.
“Oh, I’ll show you what I’ve got, my little Saiyan princess. And you’ll see I am anything but a boy,” he said, his gruff, gravelly voice making you tingle.
You chuckled. “Is that right? I guess we’ll see then.”
As you stepped away to warm up, Raditz followed close behind, stalking you like prey. “How about we start with a little grappling match? I’ll pin you before you can count to three.”
You turned to him as you stretched. “You might be surprised. I can hold my own against any man here. I’ll top you before you know what’s hit you.”
His eyes raked over you hungrily. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you? To top me?”
You bit your lip and raised an eyebrow at him. “Of course. But I wouldn’t mind letting you win at least once.”
It took great effort for Raditz to refrain from shoving you to the ground and having his way with you then and there. The way you spoke, how your tail mesmerized him, your plush lips and dark eyes… You were perfection. How long could he stay focused before he gave in to temptation? Your soft touch on his arm already had him pining for you. His filthy mind was imagining your voice desperately moaning his name, piecing together a mental picture of you writhing beneath him. Or on top of him, he really didn’t care which.
You held a hair tie between your teeth as you gathered up your long hair. Raditz salivated at the sight of your parted lips, his predatory gaze never leaving you. You gave him a show by dipping your head back to display the delicate tower of your neck, prime for love bites. You arched your back, sending his attention to your ass and tail as you tied your hair up in a ponytail. And damn, did he love your strong legs too. He wanted them crushing his head as he tasted you.
You opened your eyes to find his, inky black and full of lust as he leaned against the lone tree, arms crossed. Your knees went weak as he devoured you. In his armor, his thighs were also on full display, nearly as thick as the trunk he leaned on. But his arms were your favorite. Well defined and drool-inducing, you craved to know how they’d feel wrapped around your waist as you bounced on him, or holding you up against that tree. Oh, but that tail of his. It swayed like a hypnotist’s watch, drawing you in like a moth to flame.
“Want me to tie you up, too?” you asked. “Your hair, I mean.”
He smirked. “Would you like that?”
“It won’t get in your face while we train,” you replied. “Plus, a ponytail could look hot on you.”
“I prefer mine natural,” he growled as he twirled a lock of your hair around his finger. “Though I like the ponytail on you. Gives me something to grab onto.”
You blushed and bit your lip. “Don’t you think we should at least try to train a little before you start trying to seduce me?”
Raditz leaned in close, towering over you in the most heart-pounding way. “Why? I think you’ve already fallen under my spell, darling.”
You raised an eyebrow and nearly brushed noses with him. “My, my. So confident.”
He purred, breathing in your scent. “I saw the way you were looking at me. Why not skip straight to the good part?”
You laughed and playfully shoved him away. “I heard you were a slacker, Raditz. Don’t you have any inclination to get stronger as a warrior?”
He frowned and stepped forward to take your jaw between his index finger and thumb, tilting your face up towards his. “Not when there’s such a tasty reward already ripe for the taking.”
You drew a finger down his chest. “Prove to me training with you is worth my time and maybe I’ll let you take a bite, pretty boy,” you breathed over his lips. You chuckled and stepped back, inviting him to spar.
Ever impatient, Raditz scoffed, but pursued. Despite his grand size, his blows lacked the sting and fire of his younger brother. You easily had him on the defensive, overpowering him with a barrage of punches and kicks. His surprise pleased you, and your attacks sent him to one knee, desperately panting to catch his breath.
“Come on, that isn’t all you’ve got, is it?” you asked with a scowl.
His dark eyes caught yours, frustrated. “I… Didn’t realize I wouldn’t have to hold back with you.”
You glared at him. “Tch! Don’t be such a coward! You should know better than to hold back just because I’m a woman!”
Raditz launched himself towards you with a guttural yell and punch, more powerful than before. Still, you evaded him with grace and ease, adding fuel to his burning annoyance.
“How-” He threw a punch. “Are you-” A kick. “So swift?” Another punch.
You caught his fist and bent his wrist and sending him wincing on one knee again. “This is nothing! I’m starting to see how great the difference between us is,” you scathed. “Pity. I had hoped you’d be more competent than this.”
Raditz’s nostrils flared with rage as you turned your back and walked away from him. He punched the ground with a fiery grunt before chasing after you. His muscled arms clamped around your waist, his back arched and he slammed you down with a bone-shattering suplex. The blow rang through your head like a gong. Before you could claw your way out of his grasp, Raditz flipped you to your stomach and pinned an arm behind your back.
“Not bad,” you mumbled, beginning to smile with your face pressed into the grass.
His elbow dug into your spine. With your shoulder twisted into an agonizing position, you desperately tried to maneuver out of the pin. You managed to get your knees under yourself, but your torso was well and truly trapped under Raditz’s massive form.
“Face down, ass up. Just how I like it,” he quipped as he contorted your arm even further. You groaned at the pain, swearing he was going to rip your shoulder from its socket. Just as you were about to tap out, your free hand brushed against fur. An idea dawned on you.
Like a vice, your hand clenched around Raditz’s tail. His entire body grew rigid and powerless with a strangled gasp from his throat. His grip on you loosened and you wriggled out from under him. You pounced on your opportunity by shoving him down and onto his back, straddling one of his thick thighs and pinning his opposite knee to his chest over your shoulder.
“Me on top. Just how I like it.” You glowed in pride over him, chest heaving.
Raditz’s eyes narrowed. “That was cheap!”
“Should have trained not to be so sensitive,” you mocked. “What’s your excuse? Afraid of hard work?”
Fury bloomed in his chest again, but he was immobilized. He frowned and laid his head against the ground, looking anywhere but at you.
“Aw, don’t pout,” you patronized. “I’ve trained with all kinds of strong warriors. I knew you wouldn’t beat me.”
“Then why even bother,” he growled, still avoiding your gaze. You pressed your shoulder in further, squeezing his knee to his chest uncomfortably.
“Because I’m sizing you up, dummy. How else but to fight you?”
“You can let go of me now,” he strained, growing irritated.
You cocked an eyebrow. “Hmm, I thought you wanted me to top you.”
You dropped Raditz’s leg back down and climbed over to straddle him. His eyes grew wide as you planted your palms on his chest and began to drag your hips over his armor plate. Funny that he had been so thankful for that very plate. Now he couldn’t wait to get rid of it.
He ran his hands from your knees up the soft skin of your thighs. “I thought Saiyan women weren’t interested in weak men,” he admitted quietly.
You peeled off your upper armor to reveal your black sports bra underneath. “Oh quit your pouting. Just because I’m strong doesn’t make you weak.”
Your words triggered a deep, long forgotten memory. Time and time again, fellow Saiyan warriors called him pathetic, lazy, cowardly. And maybe he was. Maybe his strength paled in comparison to other soldiers. But long ago, while watching his tiny brother float in his tank, their mother had patted his head lovingly and told him, Don’t let his high power level discourage you, Raditz. Just because he’s strong does not mean you’re weak.
Now, Raditz’s eyes brimmed with the softness of his mother as he gazed up at your beautiful face. He reached up, thumb brushing your cheek with a gentleness you didn’t expect. You leaned against his touch and closed your eyes.
“May I…” he started. “May I have a taste of you now?”
Pleasantly surprised by his romantic expression, you blushed deeply and leaned forward. You raked your nails through his wild hair, then held his face and pressed your forehead against his.
“Please.”
Raditz stole your breath with a kiss laden with electricity. Your heart soared with excitement as you began to explore one another, the press of every kiss weakening you. You melted over him, arms snaking around his shoulders. He sighed heavily into your mouth, his tongue chasing and teasing yours as he held the back of your head. Your hands curled into fists in his hair, pent up with passion.
“I need you, darling,” he said in a desperate voice.
“Let me give you what you want. Take off your armor.”
With a parting kiss, you sat back and allowed him to sit up to strip his armor. Without it, you could finally see his incredible body and the intimidating size of his bulge. You felt an immediate rush between your legs.
“Lay back for me,” you said, eying the print of his cock.
Raditz obliged, propping himself up on his elbows under the shade of the tree. You positioned yourself between his legs before kissing his lips, then began a journey down his jaw and neck. You kissed shapes into his tender flesh while your hands caressed the firm muscles of his chest and arms, stopping to snap the red band around his bicep again.
Breaths of pleasure escaped him as you touched him, working your way slowly towards the destination you both could hardly wait for. While your hands explored his sculpted abdomen, your tongue lightly dragged over his pectorals. You teased his nipple, causing a suppressed moan to rumble in his throat. You smiled and made a mental note for later.
When your fingers finally reached the band of his black briefs, you lightly traced along the waist as you kissed down the trail of black hair below his navel. Your palm began to graze over his cock print, so incredibly hard. His eyes closed with a groan. You worked your palm over him with an agonizingly light touch, then did the same with your lips. Raditz clawed into the ground, gripping the grass and growling.
“Stop teasing me, woman.”
You smiled, watching his every movement while blowing hot breaths over his cock.
“Mmm, but I love seeing you squirm like this,” you purred. “Tell me how bad you want it, pretty boy.”
He groaned. “I want your lips around my cock so bad, darling.”
“Tell me you need it.”
“Need your mouth, baby girl.”
“Tell me what else you want.”
“Want to cum in your mouth, want to fuck you ‘til you’re sore. Want to hear you scream my name ‘til everyone knows who’s fucking you.”
You bit your lip, supremely satisfied with Raditz’s response. You removed his briefs and watched his cock fall against his abdomen, heavy and thick. Saliva filled your mouth at the sight and you gave a long lick up the underside of his dick. He shuddered.
You began circling your tongue around the fat tip as your hands lightly squeezed his thighs, teasing around his signature band. You sucked his shiny head like a popsicle, letting your spit drip down the shaft. Your slender fingers wrapped around his cock, making you moan at the size and weight in your palm.
“Fuck,” you said under your breath. Raditz watched you bite your lip and stare at his stiff member with lust. “You’re so thick. Not sure if I can take it.”
He chuckled and grabbed your ponytail as you started working your hand and mouth together to suck him off. “Oh, you’ll take it. You’ll take every inch.”
You groaned in response and took him further, nearly to your throat. His girth made it difficult and your jaw already felt the strain. But Raditz’s grip on your hair said he wanted more, so you dug your nails into his thighs and forced his cock deeper. You whined and tears formed at the corners of your eyes, but the ragged moan from Raditz was well worth it. You breathed through your nose and relaxed as you choked him down until you felt his head reach the back of your throat.
“Aghhh,” he whined in pleasure. You smiled internally and let up, allowing your hand to help work his shaft. Up and down you stroked him with just the right pressure, and he made sure to let you know with feral growls. You pulled your mouth off and spit into your other hand so you could give his heavy balls attention. Your lips enclosed over one and sucked as you continued to stroke him with both hands.
“You’re sloppy,” he chuckled. You moaned and made eye contact, bringing him dangerously close to the edge.
“Mm, but does it feel good?” you asked between slurping at him.
“Ugh, you have no idea, doll. You’re so fucking good.”
The praise made you take him fully down your throat again with a quickening pace, your pussy fluttering with his every sound. The faster you could make him cum, the faster you could have him inside you. Excited at the notion, you focused your energy on finishing him. He grunted and rocked his hips in time with your ministrations. His tail, softly swirling until now, began to twitch at the tip. Growing more noisy, you could tell he was nearing his climax.
“Fuck! Just a little more!” he wailed, grip on your ponytail painfully tight.
“Look at me,” you commanded. He did as you told, and you pumped him hard, pulling your mouth off to wait for his load. With a final throaty grumble and groan, Raditz’s abs and glutes tightened as pulses of pleasure burst behind his eyes.
“Ah, fuck! That’s it!” he cried. His tail went rigid and his legs trembled as his cock spurted onto your patient tongue and you slowed your strokes to draw out his orgasm. “What a good girl,” he breathed at the sight of his cum covering your tongue. “Now swallow.”
You did as you were told and reopened your mouth to prove your obedience. He smiled and chuckled, then caressed your cheek.
“Such a good girl. Now turn around and sit on my face. Let me taste you,” he said. Heart leaping, you obeyed.
You removed your remaining armor, bra and briefs, leaving only your leg band to match his. He laid back on the grass and you lowered yourself over him, skin tingling with anticipation. He hooked his arms around your thighs and positioned you perfectly to feel his breaths on your lips.
“Goddamn,” he grumbled. “You smell so delicious.” He blew deliberate hot puffs of air onto you as his thumbs pulled you apart. You were trembling already. He started with a slow, gentle rhythm around your clit, tongue soft and pliable. You closed your eyes and whined at the sensation. As his pace began to build, you started to rock your hips against his tongue, hands on his hard abs for support.
He rolled your clit between his tongue and upper lip, then brought a thumb to your pussy’s entrance, dipping in only enough to gather some of your slippery arousal. He repeated the gesture a few times, then moved his tongue to penetrate you and started working your clit with his thumb. You moaned and laid forward, head on his lower abs. As he tongue-fucked you, you teased his cock with the tips of your fingers, causing him to jolt beneath you.
“Hah! Not yet!” he said with a shaky voice muffled by your pussy.
“Then can I watch you?” you asked. He pulled off and allowed you to turn around. Before you sat back down on his face, you kissed him, dying to taste yourself on his hot tongue. He groaned, then ran this thumb over the band on your thigh and gave it a tug.
You mounted his face, never breaking eye contact as you did so. His dark eyes were clouded with lust, just like yours. As his mouth reconnected with your clit, you grabbed his hair, hard. Raditz’s breathing grew labored as he lapped at your sweet pussy, loving the pain of you yanking his hair. His cock started to reawaken with each honeyed moan from your lips. Your tail softly brushed over his stomach while his arms guided your hips. You closed your eyes as you rode, orgasm building closer and closer to the soaring bliss.
“Ahh! So good!” you called out. “Please don’t stop!”
Raditz’s watched you as he shook his head back and forth, making your cunt pulse. Your nails gouged into his scalp.
“Oh fuck!” you squealed.
Fireworks exploded in your vision as the rush came. Raditz was captivated, staring at your quaking form above. The bliss radiated as he continued flicking at you with his tongue. You basked in the warm pleasure, sighing and catching your breath. You finally opened your eyes to find Raditz grinning underneath you.
“That was so good. God damn,” you praised as you sat back, softly stroking the hair you just had a death grip on.
There was darkness in his smile. “Think you can handle more?”
You brushed your thumb over his bottom lip, now cherry red from eating your pussy. He captured your thumb and sucked.
“Want it all.”
Raditz sat up and leaned against the trunk of the tree, pulling you along with him to straddle him. Hard once more, he aligned himself with your soaking wet entrance and teased with his cockhead.
You let the head slip into you, then lifted off, steadying yourself with hands on his shoulders.
“Me on top, again? You really are lazy,” you teased.
He snickered and sucked on your neck as you lowered yourself further down onto his dick. “I’ll put in some effort, don’t you worry.”
Raditz was thick, making you take your time despite your orgasm and overwhelming arousal.
“Shit, you’re huge,” you whined. He bit down on your shoulder as you dropped your weight over him, letting his cock fully seat inside your blissful walls. He groaned, head dizzy and abs already tight from cumming once already.
“Fuck!” he said through clenched teeth. “So tight for such a slut.”
You pinched both his nipples as you began to ride. Raditz gasped sharply, then grinned.
“I am not a slut,” you said. “You make me wanna act like one.”
“Is that right? And why is that, darling?” he purred, making good on his word as he met your thrusts with plenty of power.
“Mmh!” you cried after a particularly hard thrust. “Because I’ve always wanted a big boy like you.” Each stroke on his fat cock sent pleasure deep, satisfying your craving to be fucked.
“How about I make you feel small?” Raditz growled and rolled you onto your back. He crawled on top of you and wrapped your thighs tightly around his waist before reentering you with shocking force, making you gasp. Kissing at your chest and neck, he fucked you with thorough strokes.
“Ahh! Mm, you feel so good!” you wailed as one of his hands found your chest. He rolled your nipple through his finger and thumb, never missing a beat with his hips. His grunts and groans rumbled in his chest, animalistic and erotic. His hands wandered and gripped you all over, from your breasts to your ass and thighs. You tossed your head aside, letting him bite and suck your neck as he pounded you into the ground.
He unwrapped your legs from his waist and gripped your ankles, forcing you into a mating press. The angle change was perfect.
“Haaaahh!” you whimpered. “Yes, please don’t stop, Raditz!” His cock pulsed at the sound of his name falling from your lips in such a heated manner, so he did exactly as you requested. Cock drilling you and your nails digging into his strong arms, he fucked you until you saw stars.
“Couldn’t stop if I wanted to! Too tight!” Your tail found his and twisted together, an intimate sensation that only added to the immense pleasure.
“Cum inside, please,” you begged him, feeling the approach of your climax deep in your stomach. Despite his heavy breathing, Raditz insisted on kissing you. He grunted from his chest, grounding down through his knees to push every ounce of energy into fucking you. Bodies entwined, sharing breaths, he delivered another few powerful thrusts.
You crashed and pulsed with a cry, riding the high like an ocean wave, the breathtaking peak bright and blissful. Raditz did the same, his final pumps sending a spine-tingling shock through his entire body. His arms shook as he moaned at the pleasure, collapsing onto you in a heap of muscle and wild hair. He nestled into your bitten neck, leaving himself sheathed until the final surges of orgasm had dissipated.
He withdrew from you and rolled onto his back beneath the grand tree, the only witness to your deed. He pulled you into his side, still wanting to feel your warmth. You smiled and snuggled into him.
You caught your breaths together, listening to the gentle breeze rustling the leaves above and feeling the tingle of the sun on your exposed skin. After a long silence, Raditz chuckled.
“I don’t suppose many of your other training sessions go this way,” he said.
You smiled and looked up at his handsome features. “And what if they do? You jealous?”
He frowned and met your gaze. You reassured him by twisting your tail up with his again.
“The only thing I’m wearing right now is your leg band, big guy. I’m yours,” you said with a lingering kiss.
He hummed his satisfaction. “Good. I better not see anyone else’s marks on that gorgeous neck of yours.”
“I guess I should amend that statement,” you said with a laugh. “I’m yours, so long as you continue to fuck me like that.”
He chuckled and kissed you once more. “Deal.”

Over the weekend, I went hiking with some friends at Hocking Hills State Park! I was pretty proud of my endurance and how cooperative my ankles were during the hours of hiking.
Monday, boot camp class delivered another tough workout! At the end of class, we had a bear crawl race to determine who had to do wall sits. I'm pretty bad at wall sits, so I was extra motivated to win. Victory was mine, but I felt guilty watching my classmates do wall sits without me....so I made myself do squats while they sat. 😅 I ended up doing wall sits anyway, because my classmates teased me and the instructor to do so. Of course, he defeated me. 😆
This morning, I had a great lifting session focusing on arms and shoulders. I'd like to think I've gotten stronger this year, but I think I need to push myself harder with heavier weights. I think I get nervous when I workout alone, so I probably don't go as heavy as I can. Still need a consistent lifting buddy one of these days. 😅
I've got a few more weeks of boot camp class left, and next week I'll be celebrating my birthday with a 5K run and hopefully more hiking. As my ankles start to feel better, I hope I can get back into more consistent running. Winter is on its way, so we'll see how long this motivation lasts. 😅

Honey sunbathed summer | Eddie Munson x Reader

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
The heated rejoicing colors of purple, blue and coral red, light brightly the dozy sunday skies of Forest Hills Trailer park. The flushed summer sunset rises the glossy evening, which is only around two hours away until the moon begins its hike within the stars.
The four p.m. afternoon has a certain magical aura to it. The one when simpleness turns into mere worthy admiration. The start of summer at Hawkins usually has that effect.
Right in front of the limit that crosses the division between the quiet forest and the trailer park, lies a kiddy pool that’s being more than enjoyed by children whose voices reflect the excitement of the simpleness that water gives at any age.
A racing water slip slide is set right across Eddie’s trailer too. A hose sends the right amount of water and soap ratio for it to be slippery enough for the nine year olds who play some sort of made up secret coded game that only they understand. The watermist kisses the tip of your nose from time to time.
The thought of summer accompanied by fudgy banana splits, water, the smoky whiff of a deliciously glazed barbecue aroma coming from nearby, forest tree leaves transporting the warm heat, and the essence of freshly mowed lawn that vaporizes the smell of wet dirt and grass, never fails to spike a shot of serotonin.
And within the immortalized echo of the melody produced by the bustle from the neighbors, wind chimes, the evening honey whiff, water splashes and cicadas, your laughter fades into that chorus among Eddie’s voice.
Because although outside on his porch the heat is still unbearable, skin being sticky under your two piece playsuit, and every texture feeling fuzzy and icky, that doesn’t even come close to ruining spending time with him.
The smell of your coconut scented sunscreen feels like summer itself. Even more when you had applied it, –or more like bathed— Eddie’s reluctant scrunched face in it as well.
And how couldn’t you? after the awful experience of his almost burnt to shrimp-skin the other day at the pool. But as impossible as it seems, even with gooey sunscreen that draws a line from his cheeks and down his nose, he looks radiant, sitting just a few inches away from you.
With hair pulled back and a low pony from which some reluctant little hairs fall, he smiles. It’s hard not to think about how enchantingly adorable he is with that hairstyle. As adorable as you’d love to squish his little face and make him turn love sick out of kisses.
His torso is covered by a very thin black fabric shirt. Your bare leg brushes from time to time with his knee. And you can swear that his warmth adds even more heat to the afternoon. A certain type of heat that you probably don’t mind feeling.
He himself is in awe at the beautifully deified sight of your cheeks, plum red and glossy, at the way your legs sit crossed in front of his and move sporadically, how your shoulders shine and bathe golden under the toasty sun. And he can’t help but adore the way your eyebrows furrow, concentrating on the deck of twenty plus cards that you hold right below your face.
“You’ve had the worst luck today” He mocks. The cheshire cat-like grin teasing ever more when you’re taking your sweet time to pick a card.
“I can’t let you win again.” You pout, arms falling down as if you were mid-surrender. “It means you’d win over my Candy Center Crunch!” He chuckles boyishly, and you react with a mixture between an eye roll and a grin when you understand the reason why. “You’re being dirty”
“Funny Feet would be better though” The sight of his spread abdomen, glimmering with water and sweat when he leans back being supported by his hands is surely divine.
“Eddie! God, that sounds even worse” He can’t help but smile stupidly at the sight of your nose scrunch. “Do I honestly have to not just bear with you stealing my ice cream but also underestimating it for a Funny Feet popsicle?”
“Uh tut-tut, not stealing, winning, snippy” He reprimands playfully.
“Who even likes funny feet? I’d only let you undermine center crunch over a snoopy ice pop or choco taco”
“What?” And he sounds crushed. Like if you had said the most insultingly revolting thing ever. “The snoopy ice pop sucks, babe” He states mid chuckle. “It’s just fake marshmallow. Fuck, it’s not even an ice pop”
“It is an ice pop!”
“If there’s no fruit or water is not an ice pop” He states.“you only like it because it’s a dog” You shrug, playfully ticked.
“It’s not any dog, Eddie, it’s Snoopy” He pinches the doughy soft flesh of your thigh gently after the correction.
“Either way, I won”
By laying his last remaining card on the main deck, his victory is endured. Cheerful hands shake your shoulders back and forth in a celebratory motion until the palms also drum your legs gently.
And you still can't believe that he is walking over to the kitchen and taking your beloved crunchy ice cream out of the fridge, much less how he is mocking you by showing it and smiling like a child from where he stands.
“Fuck, this is so good”
Your eye almost twitches when he plops on the couch, and it doesn’t take more than a few seconds for you to follow and sit beside him. The coldness of the tin-like material is dripping water.
You’re staring deeply.
With the corner of his eye and a smile evoked from the edge of his lips, he looks at you in amusement while fidgeting with the crinkly bag. As if seeing you like this was the funniest thing he’d ever experienced.
And in the back of his mind, when the ice cream is already out of the wrapper, he actually feels bad by just the sight of the way your eyes reflect those of a puppy imploring for food.
“Here” He hands it over, although you don’t take it yet. “You can see it”
“Stop it!” His burlesque snort that mocks your plea turns into a gasp when you push his own hand when he leans for a bite.
The taste of revenge is sweet. Quite literally.
The expression on your face changes to a splendid smile, observing his vainilla covered cheek and reminiscing the way it landed there because of you.
“Give me a bite” You pout. mouth watering at the sight of his lips and teeth sinking into it
He nods. Unbothered by the cream that drips from his face. You wish you could seem more stern, but when he’s leaning near your face making a growling lion sound ready to bite into your cheek, It’s absurdly impossible to not break down to giggles.
“You know what I mean, Eds”
“No! you bet on this, you little cheater. Plus, look at what you just did” His finger points at his distressed cheek, as if you hadn’t noticed yet.
“I can fix that”
Your hand presses onto his thigh while scooting over. The tip of your tongue licks expertly the trace of the sweet chocolate iridescence that drips from his lip, right where the vainilla drop slides. His skin is soft against your tongue.
From the proximity he can feel the scent of your perfume, the reminiscences of wildflower shampoo mixed in with sunscreen, pool chlorine and your own aroma. It’s a bewilderment that makes him shiver even inside of the heat box that his trailer is.
And when your face leans a little closer, his own gesture drops once you’re swiftly biting into the ice cream very slightly. A cold bit of the peanut covered chocolate crust falls to his leg, instantly melting over his warmth.
“Stop it” He laughs. “Thief” But it’s pointless to make a fuss out of it when he has already surrendered.
“Whoops, sorry” You say, the tip of your tongue licking the trace of the chocolate on his leg. And shortly after, the trace that melts down his fingers and knuckles.
“You can’t do that” You raise your eyebrows innocently. “This! with the cute little face and big eyes.”
“Why not? Always seems to work” The silence of the stare is gratifying, and when he grins it feels like he’s trying to say ‘it really fucking does’.
“You know? It’s real sad you stole from me, cause’ I had something else for ya’”
With a covered face behind rebel brown locks of hair that escaped the pony, he looks over his shoulder and seems to stretch to grab something. Sparks rise when he’s pulling out a beautiful snoopy ice pop that crinkles like the sound of heavenly chants.
“You got it for me?” When your smile turns into a dazzling glare, and your eyes shoot flickering stars, he yearns for the magnificent instant to last a little longer.
“Of course I did, I said I despise the snoopy fake ice pop, or ice cream or whatever, but shit, how I love that smile of yours when you see it.”
Moved by burning excitement, your hand moves to grab it, but when he pulls it away, your face naturally lands near his. So taking advantage of the situation, the skin of your cheek purposely but flawlessly rests on his jaw.
“Not so fast. What am I getting in return?” The magical sound of his question ardently stirs the butterflies on your lower belly.
“A bite out of it?”
When his mouth puckers expectantly, the sweetness of your kiss mends the itch of his expecting lips. The chocolate taste that lingers on him is heavenly, dipped proudly, praising the feeling. Your mouth is cold from the ice cream. His is colder.
It’s gooey, and messy, and sticky. And that’s what makes it so special.
When you pull away, a love sick smile welcomes you back from the celestial trip. And with nothing more to say other than thinking ‘well deserved’, he hands over the ice pop.
“Thank you, Teddie” You coo, pulling the bag away to reveal snoopy’s cheeky smile.
He might adore the proximity of the defining moment once you sit on his lap more than anything else. The dear moment pains and soothes his heart in the most beautiful ways.
“You’re welcome, ice pop” His giggles come out like a mewl.
From honey sunbathed shoulders, Eddie pulls you in closer to his chest. Serenity steps into the moment when his jawline bobs with each bite lolling you towards tranquility, when his arms hug you close, when his proximity is intimately tender. And although you’re both sticky and sweaty, it couldn’t be more insignificant right about now.
The sun is finally fading. And the sky prepares to welcome the night, which you hope comes with faith of a cooler breeze. through the open front door and blowing curtains, you admire with heavy eyelids the way the golden evening glimmers his skin.
And when the warmth of his embrace makes you dizzy, the taste of vanilla takes a trip down your taste buds, and laughter and the conversations from not so far away make your heart swole, you think there’s nowhere in this world you’d aspire more to be, than here.
Because when summer makes it’s glorious entrance, it means afternoons being spent just like this in Eddie’s company. Which always makes it all better.
Even better than Snoopy Ice creams, Crunch Center, and Choco Tacos all merged into one.

a new kind of romance, pt 5
part 4 | frosting
🍄 | could we? wood we?
“Oh look, a mushr-ooph!”
And then what was a breathless morning became a breathless morning smeared in mud and leaf-tangled hair and a pout the size of Metropolis sitting on Kara’s lower lip.
“Aren’t you supposed to be the outdoorsy one?” Lena laughed, and sure, her rosy cheeks and amber scarf hung around her neck and loose curls tumbling over her shoulders helped temper Kara’s flare of frustration at another thing gone wrong. And sure, maybe Lena was extra glowy because of the warm fall colors and that fought Kara’s own annoyance of slipping and tripping and falling - again.
But only barely.
Because while Lena was being her perfect, soft, perfect, kind, perfect self, Kara was powerless and awkward and now inelegantly in those same fall colors and pouting.
It had been a great idea a week earlier; maybe even the best idea Kara Danvers had ever had: a Saturday-morning hike with her very best friend to an outlook of the city painted in an autumnal palette followed by a stop at an apple orchard for some cider and cinnamon sugar donuts with that same very best friend, all ending with a viewing party of David Attenbourough’s soothing narration back at Kara’s tucked in close to - you guessed it - Kara’s very - very - best friend. It was flawless. It was perfect. It was exactly how Kara wanted to spend every Saturday for the rest of her life. Heck, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and… well, every day.
Except when she planned it a week ago, Kara hadn’t expected it to drizzle or that a National City crisis would burn out her powers.
So pout she did while Lena cautiously toed down the steep hill, dressed in warm flannels and a deep green jacket and gosh, she looked so pretty. How did she always look so pretty?
“Come on, there’s still a whole hill to climb,” a pair of pretty, unpainted lips said and Kara blinked out of her dazed stupor.
“Or maybe we can just call it quits and get cocoa and a couple sticky buns at noonans?” Kara asked hopefully, tucking her pout away.
“I can’t believe my ears,” Lena huffed, offering an outstretched hand. “Is Kara Zor El quitting on me?”
“No,” Kara huffed like a petulant child, climbing to her feet. The lower lip threatened to perch again. “It’d just be nice if, you know-oah!”
Words were ripped out from under Kara with the same slipperiness that sent her sprawling moments earlier. Only this time, she was met with a very different set of tangled limbs and breathless huffs because this time there was a flannel-clad Lena to negotiate.
And that negotiation might have felt exactly like the Princess Bride tumble if the Princess Bride tumble had been Buttercup (Lena) and Westley (Kara) tumbling together down a smaller hill covered in damp leaves with Buttercup (Lena) landing on top of Westley (Kara).
Except there were some key differences. The biggest, Kara would argue, was that Lena was way prettier than Robin Wright. The next biggest was that their tumble was objectively far more romantic because Lena was laughing and tucking her face into the crook of Kara’s neck and holding tight at her waist even after they’d rolled to a stop and maybe Kara wanted to stay like this forever and ever, wet ground be damned.
Not that Kara romanticized things about her friend - her best friend. The word had never crossed her Pulitzer-prize-winning mind. This was simple platonic adoration.
Because how could she not adore the dimples blossoming across Lena’s cheeks, or admire her laughter reverberating through their entwined form, or cherish the freckle peeking out from her disheveled scarf, or revere the way her lips looked so soft and pink, or delight in the lock of hair that her own hand reached up and tucked behind Lena’s ear.
And yea, maybe since her hand was already there, Kara let the pad of her thumb brush the smudge of dirt that sat along Lena’s creamy cheekbone because how could she not? And sure, maybe that gesture - that platonic gesture made time slow and Lena quiet with a sudden eye-locking focus before letting out a quiet, breathy sigh that made Kara feel things in ways that were certainly not platonic but definitely not not good feeling.
And maybe it wasn’t fair that Kara was friends with the most perfect person in the whole world because maybe, just maybe, she wanted to romanticize the idea of tumbling down a hill together and landing tangled and breathless and watching with slow, agonizing curiosity as Lena’s lips drew closer (or was it Kara’s that leaned nearer?) because then if she did that - if she romanticized that, it might mean that maybe, just maybe they could, maybe they would-
“My hero,” Lena grinned, her cheeks rosy and breath warm against the chilly air.
And then there was the crinkle of leaves.
And then there was a ghost of Lena’s warmth.
And then there was a hand extended toward her.
“Come on Supergirl, we’ve still got a mountain to climb.”
And maybe Kara didn’t know how to say what she wanted, because of course it would be silly to ask Lena to stay and to sit in the damp leaves and to feel the cold creep up while the sun rose and climbed and set on them.
So she didn’t say any of that. Instead she accepted Lena’s offered hand and swallowed hard against the uncertainty in her throat and carefully climbed the thirty-seven steps back to the safety of the trail.
Kara’s feet wavered once there, her whole self unmoving except for the way her eyes glanced between where they came from and where they were meant to go. And then she glanced back down the hill to where they’d unexpectedly tumbled and wondered why they couldn’t just keep down that path.
“You ok?” came Lena’s voice, having closed the distance with her brow furrowed in concern. “Did you hurt anything?”
Kara shook her head and pressed her mouth into a smile. “No, just thinking.”
Lena eyed her, a silent ‘about?’ lobbed, and if Kara looked hard enough she might have seen the cautious hope in the way Lena watched her. And if Kara had looked hard enough, she might have seen that cautious hope flicker and dim when Kara patted her own stomach.
“Do you think there are snacks at the top?”
And, already well-practiced, Lena broke into a smile, a small eye-roll of affection bringing a smirk to Kara’s own face.
“It’s amazing that even without powers you’re still this hungry,” Lena replied, taking the lead along the battered, well-worn path.
“It’s a gift?”
“Or curse,” Lena said with a quick backwards wink that made Kara want to tumble all over again.
Instead she followed.
“We’re still stopping for donuts though, right?” Kara called, hurrying to catch up. Always trying to catch up.

somewhere, hundreds of miles away from you someone is participating in online discourse for a fandom you can't possibly fathom. they're barely making sense to themselves any more. but it's not about who's winning or who's right anymore. it's about the kilowatts of electricity sacrificed to this argument. it's about the bloodshot eyes, the hours of sleep lost. it's about the feud. it's about the war.
somewhere, hundreds of years ago someone is participating in a petty land-feud for a people that don't exist today, but it's not about who's winning or who's right anymore. it's about the person staring them down. it's about the strained muscles, sore from days of hiking through wilderness just to die here, heavy fabric and horn decorating what will simply be a waste of cloth. it's about this hill. it's about dying for this hill. it's about dying.

Spottie, I call upon thee at the search of inspiration to throw the writer block that got my ass out the window What is everyone favorite kind of scenery? What would be the perfect date to each of them?
I shall help thee friend!
Let us see
1. Scenery huh 🤔
Sebastian: I’d say before Urbanshade it used to be a sunny day on the beach buut he’s not too fond of that nowadays lol He probably would like a very quiet open field. Someplace where he can just sit and feel the breeze on his face and just relax
Gabriel: Gabe definitely is a summer type of guy, he probably loves a good mountain view where you can see a beautiful landscape below. Feel the crisp air tickling your lungs.
Sadao: I imagine he enjoys a good street view. People bustling and having a good time. Especially in the springtime where the flowers are blooming and he can sit in a cafe by himself and just people watch while he cradles a good coffee
Anzu: Snow. She loves a good snowy winter. One where it’s cold and desolate. Just loves the isolated feel of it.
Painter: Anything that’s colorful. Be it a beautiful meadow, a field of flowers, a lake. He loves all the colors earth has to offer and tries to scribble all down like he’ll forget it despite being an advanced computer.
2. The perfect date
Sebastian: I imagine he’s not the biggest fan of crowds, even with being a giant sea serpent. Probably would love just a dinner and a movie, or just hanging out in the house snuggled against each other.
Gabriel: Anything outdoorsy. He’d love to take you on a hike, or go to the beach for a day. Have a picnic on some rocky hill and just enjoy nature. Either that or go to some fair where he can win you all the stuffed animals you can carry and then some.
Sadao: He’s a museum type of guy, takes you to someplace that has fascinating and cool exhibits, get some coffee later and jab about what you all learned.
Anzu: She prefers a fun time. Her ideal date is taking you paintballing or some bar with axe throwing so she can wipe the floor with you.

as a camp counselor (technically not currently bc i went home for Illness) and homestuck fan (also technically not currently bc I'm too busy being a camp counselor) i love camp skaia. which homestuck characters are most likely to be the "we're ALL sick there's no reason you can't do the hike up the hill" (has mild cold and vague heatsickness at worst) counselor x "actual lung infection but thinks it's a really normal cold" (very easily gaslit) counselor program group pair? i feel like eridan and kanaya are hot contenders here
ooo ok this is so good- apologies for the ever loving hell that you are about to see but i sought assistance from my dear dear pale friend @marv3l-drag0ns !!!!!!!! MUAH PLATONICALLLY <> ILY they were a huge help in putting this together
BOY DO I HAVE A LOT TO SAY ON THIS, THIS WAS EXTREMELY FUN :D
Tumblr media
so let’s begin: my immediate instinct was kanaya and tavros are the most easily gaslit, or adhere most to given direction (we’re not going to talk about HIM). but then who to pair them with? they are both wet cats that won’t work. we decided that YES kanaya and eridan definitely make sense! but in which role? it may seem obvious but NO! eridan too sick? whiny fussy pitiful sopping kitty he’s just a beanbag full of milk! so we decided barely sick eridan, otherwise he’d be throwing a fit. instead he’s referring to his Superior Genes! and kanaya is. strugglin. but fuck man here we are 🤷‍♂️
But we’re not done yet!
Tumblr media
the next we considered was karkat and terezi!! especially aided through the lens of karkat’s old crush on terezi; he’s too whipped and in denial to deny a girl a hand!
this led to possibly the funniest thing ever: THE INNER KANKRI THAT EVERYONE HAS AND HE SITS ON YOUR SHOULDER AND REMINDS YOU TO BE DECENT AND LEAVE ROOM FOR KANKRI
for the bigger drawings i capped it off with a good ol favorite of mine; erifef. why did i like them? man idek anymore but it worked really well with the idea of eridan being the sicker one, but being ok such thin ice over his constant whining that he just has to go along with it we just though it was funny hehe. it can be viewed through any lens! snippy or non, s’all good here! it’s all canon.
Tumblr media
what is he was sick and he couldn’t whine 🥺 what is he was sick and he wasn’t allowed even a snivle about it 🥺 not a snort 🥺 or a sob 🥺 he’s so pathetic !!!! besides, he can’t be out paced by some fuckin kids!!!! HES A GROWN ADULT 16-18 Y/O CAMP COUNSELOR GODDAMNIT!!
MARVEL: “Feferi: ah yes your sickness you have a functioning immune system and are the most dramatic guy on planet earth (only one of those statements is true)” which statement? :) yeah
she doesn’t believe him anymore <333
Ok and that is it for full line art doodles, but!!! i couldn’t resist drawing some more pairs we pondered
Tumblr media
ERIDAN AND KARKAT: omfg so good!! but they would 100% either both be tooooo sick and dead, or they would both be mostly fine
VRISKA AND TAVROS: no. and you know why we’re not doing this one :,( we all instantly knew this one would be here but we are choosing to ignore it im favor of…
TAVROS AND KARKAT: Marvel proposed it and it was very interesting!! i think similar to eridan and karkat, where they’re both dead or both barely sick. no i’m between. aggressive yet positive motivation (?) for the win!!! they further proposed that karkat “eats dirt for a living and doesn’t get sick very often”
Overall this was really fun to put together and answer, and i had a blast getting to colab with a mutual along the way :3 so thank you anon and thank you marvel!! this does bring me to something i’ve been meaning to say,,.,,,
@marv3l-drag0ns ,,? we’ve been friends forever, you know my dogs middle name, we complete each other in a way no one else can! you stop me from eating bones i find on the road, and i stop you from ascending to godtier to avoid going to exams…,…
would you be my
Moirail? <>
anyways! that’s all for now <3 this was so fun :) please send in more asks/ requests like this if you ever think of any more! i definitely feel for the camp counselor piece cause that was me earlier this summer PFF and all the counselors got sick and passed something around (but hey! it was an excuse to sit away from 7 y/olds for a few minutes while i got tea for my sore throat)
