I know realistically the answer is that Williams line spread out enough to have surviving branches post the original spire incident, but its really funny to imagine that afterwards my guy Willy went "well damm, guess I gotta fuck to rebuild my bloodline ://"

Ok, but what about the overbosses with overboss!sole who was a black widow? Like full on Natasha Romanoff vibes <3
Nuka-World Leaders with a Black Widow!Overboss
➼ Word Count » 0.5k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Platonic/Romantic
Mags Black will quickly start to see you in a familial light since you hold a bit of a semblance to her brother. You're both a bit more brooding than the other raiders here, and she'll try to win your favor as soon as you approach her and the rest of the Operators because of that fact. She has her group invent all sorts of gadgets for you to use when you go off to take care of things. Every single one is catered to your exact needs and fighting style. Most raiders like to go in, guns blazing. So they have to workshop their weapons a tad to suit your more hidden approach to fighting. She'll try to make sure you get something worthwhile out of the transaction, you'd be best suited for her and her gang after all.
William Black actually likes you as the overboss. It's very hard to get that type of acceptance from him, but the moment you step into the parlor all straight-faced and confident, he'll recognize that you're actually here to take the job seriously. He won't give you any gifts of gratitude or anything like that, but you will have his respect, and that goes a long way toward becoming accepted as the official new overboss in Nuka-World. He appreciates that you don't dally around the jobs you take and that you're efficient when it comes to completing them. That alone is enough to get him to be open enough to accept you as the new overboss.
Nisha finds you incredibly endearing. Someone as cunning and secretive as you will easily fit in with her and the Disciples and if you were to show them a little more favoritism, she'd gladly help you with whatever you needed. She'll be your best friend and your closest ally in the park. The raiders here needed someone they could take seriously and, in her eyes, you're the perfect one for the job. You and her could run circles around the others here and could benefit greatly from it as well. She may not be one to like following orders but, for you? She wouldn't mind letting go of her pride.
Mason’s probably the only one who's not all that excited about you becoming the newest overboss. You're good at what you do, sure, but you don't take any artistic liberty. You do the job and then you finish. It's efficient, but as a raider, he wants to see a leader who will toy with their victim a bit before they die. He wants you to show everyone who you really are under that mysterious exterior and have you reveal your most twisted thoughts through how you handle the people who go against you. Besides, he finds it hard to throw a party with you around with how stern and quiet you are about everything. It doesn't always have to be business.

So about the Fable reboot...
People (Fable fans) are being really fucking shitty to me because I have an unpopular opinion. I'm not trying to be a bitch, I mean no disrespect to the devs of the reboot, I fully plan on giving the game a chance, etc. If I don't get my way I'm not going to attack or harass the developers like the absolute fucking toilet sponges on Youtube attacked and harassed the trans-fem environmental artist for being the reason the PC is "ugly."
All of this because I believe that Fable isn't Fable without the world-building (historical characters and history) established in Fable The Lost Chapters and expanded on by "Tales of Albion" should be included in the reboot. I've clarified what I mean numerous times and somehow they're still misconstruing/twisting my words. I don't want or expect the base world-building to be 1:1, I fully expect and hope that they will evolve the source material.
All I want is the Old Kingdom, the Void, William Black, the Court mostly Jack of Blades to exist in the reboot. If Playground can't include it at the bare minimum then they should have made their own IP instead of skinning Fable's corpse and wearing it.
I see everyone saying Fable isn't Fable without "the moral choices," "British Humor, life-sim mechanics, good/evil morphing, etc" but they never include world-building.
A fantasy world heavily depends on its lore (history and historical characters), usually from the source material it's based off, to have a distinct identity. I play the Elder Scrolls series, not only for the features, but for the story, characters and lore which allows me to invest and immerse myself in a unique living world I can't get anywhere else. No other fantasy world is the same.
It's the same for Fable. Even if it has all the gameplay and humor of the originals, without the basic history of William Black, the Old Kingdom, the Court, and the void, it will never be Fable. Fable is its humor, its gameplay, its features, its lore/history and its historical characters. You can't extract one of these and still call it Fable which is why it baffles me as to why so few people care about the base lore. You say you want a Fable game, but you're okay with history, historical characters, and world-building being completely gutted?
That IS the source material. Do you mean to tell me the Fable reboot is still Fable without Fable? That's like saying a bologna sandwich is still a sandwich without bread.
I expect Fable to be everything and have everything (to a certain point) from the originals but improved and evolved. As a writer, why the fuck would you wipe out pre-existing world-building and basic history to start completely anew? Firstly, you're creating a lot more work for yourself as well as increasing development time and costs.
Finally, why wouldn't you evolve/improve the base world construct and adapt what already exists to make it yours? The base material has so much untapped potential that was never realized or properly explored. The Court and even Jack of Blades by himself were never utilized satisfactorily. Jack needed more development.
Motherfucker was the big bad (twice) and not only was he barely in the game, there was almost zero setup until near the tail end. "Surprise, bitch! It was me all along! Suck the end of my sword." There is SO much. I don't expect everything to happen exactly the same or characters not to be altered. To be clear, I don't expect any lore after TLC's base history and historical characters. So I don't expect the story of Fable 1-3 (fuck Fable the Journey) to be reflected in the reboot.

Deep Blue (Sabezra Drabble)
requested by @notanodinarygirl
Every attempt to make the perfect shade of blue fell short. Steel blue felt too serious. Sky blue felt too free. Ocean blue never could do justice to his eyes- eyes lost in a space deeper than their hue.
It'd been years since Sabine needed a holo for reference when she painted Ezra- every lost contour and scar of his face lived in her mind- along with the eyes of a blue she could never replicate.
"I know you're counting on me, Ezra. I will find you."
She sighed as she added "close enough blue" eyes to the still-in-progress painting.
an/tags under cut
A/N: this one was so fun to write! I know I've said this kind of thing on quite a few drabbles, but I'd never written for sabezra, so that was a fun little experiment! For some of the fics I've done, it took a little figuring out to find out how to fit the ship and the song together without going over the word count, but this one practically wrote itself before I'd even finished my first listen through of the song! Excellent song choice, friend!
tagging some rebels mutuals: @laughingphoenixleader @accidental-spice @kanerallels @heckin-music-dork (if anyone would like to be added to or removed from the rebels taglist, hmu in a dm or ask!)
Send me a song and one of the tagged ships and I'll write a drabble!

Canon ideas for my Fable universe is that the Hero of Oakvale was a good individual and that he actively strove to make Albion better but in the end failed to destroy Jack’s mask, which leads to further events with his descendants.
For instance it affects the Hero of Bowerstone by causing him to be drawn to it and unknowingly release Jack back into the world. It’s kinda funny really because Jack just keeps menacing the Black bloodline by consistently corrupting William’s descendants.

read your post about companions with a child sole and thought about how funny having a child be the overboss of nuka world is
like it’s just a bunch of scary ass raiders and their boss is some kid like no one would take them seriously
Nuka-World Leaders With A Child!Overboss
➼ Word Count » 0.4k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Platonic, Fluff ➼ A/N » That kid would be straight pimping out in the wastes
Mags Black will treat you the kindest because she thinks she'll get a better payout if she does. She's always making the Operators give you cute new hairstyles in the hopes that you'll favor them over the other gangs. She'll coo and dote on you and your well-being, fixing you up with better gear so you're better equipped for the waste. After a while, she might genuinely start to view you as her younger sibling. It'll be apparent through the ways she hits your shoulder when you say something a bit impolite, or how she pushes you behind her when you're threatened.
William Black is fairly cold toward you. He doesn't understand why his sister took a liking to you so quickly when you were sure to die any second now. However, he'll fall into the role of 'older brother' once Mags gets more and more attached to you. It's a natural occurrence — if his sister considers you to be a part of the family, then he's bound to as well.
Nisha wants to slaughter Gage the second you're announced as the overboss. You being in charge makes all the other gangs look like a joke and she's not going to stand around and wait to be humiliated. However, she does give it a chance (albeit reluctantly). She'll wait to hear about your return once you left with Gage to take over Kiddie Kingdom, and when you come back alive and with the park in your possession, she'll warm up quickly. She'll approach you herself, crouching down to see you eye to eye as she promises you she won't let you die, and if you wanted, she'd gladly replace Gage for you. The rest is up to you, but one thing's for certain — you have her protection, and she'd be damned if there wasn't at least one Disciple around to be a second bodyguard along with Gage.
Mason thinks you're a riot and always has you kidnapped brought to the Ampihteater to see how far he and the Pack can take you before you start getting scared of the raider gangs. It won't be anything bad, just having you watch the animals maim each other in the ring or forcing you to participate in putting collars on the slaves. He stops once with Gage or Mags tell him off, even if he thinks it ruins the fun. Once you start claiming areas of the park, he'll start treating you with a lot more respect than before. He'll call you over to celebrate with him and the Pack where he'll throw you on his shoulders and give you whatever you ask for. He's like the frat bro of the four and always tries to get you hammered with him while the Black twins aren't watching.

I want to ramble about William Black/Scythe here (I’m so sorry to all my moots who know nothing about Fable)
He’s quite a tragic character when you really dig into him. First of all, he’s soulless. He’s been soulless for centuries on centuries. And the reason he’s soulless is because he saved Albion from the Court by using the Sword of Aeons. Now, the effects of not having a soul have seem to worn him down immensely. While, yes, he was the first Archon, I reckon he wasn’t the most stable ruler, especially with his children being anti-Heroes, if you were (I’ll see myself out). He became ill, and I seriously think that without a soul it made him much more susceptible to this illness - later the Corruption. The illness made him appear much more like a mummy than a human being no matter his immortality. Of course I’m just summarising at this point. But this illness must have taken root where his soul would have been. Scythe as a character is blunt and snarky. He’s seen centuries of pain and anguish, and it’s made him a bitter person. This kind of makes me think that he’s unable to feel positive emotions due to his lack of soul.
But quite frankly I think William is lonely. He’s never had an actual connection to anyone, and if he did, they’d be cut away brutally or tragically. His children became horrible people, to the point where he ran away from the kingdom he ruled. Nostro was his apprentice, the man who founded the Heroes Guild, but he died in Scythe’s company.
The Scythe-Nostro relationship is really interesting to me, because after Nostro dies, Scythe disappears again. He’s devastated. Even though Nostro was corrupted and Scythe was disgusted by his actions, he came back to keep him company as he died. It’s very telling of Scythe’s character - he came to care for Nostro. Take this sentence from Tales of Albion: Scythe with warm affection told Nostro of the good things he had done in his life. This seems completely out of character for Scythe at first, until you remember how he must have felt like an outsider all his life. It’s a telling master-apprentice relationship.
Unpopular opinion, but I think having Scythe take care of Rose in the Love choice of Fable 2 is a really good option, and a really interesting dynamic. Rose has experienced pain on the streets of Bowerstone Old Town, and Scythe has a disappointment in his children for what they became and how they destroyed the Old Kingdom. Looking after Rose could teach him to open up more, and experience a life that he could never have had among Heroes or even the normal villagers. In Rose’s letter she describes Scythe as “very thin and wears a hood and looks scary, but he's nice and I feel safe with him here”, which proves this. Scythe also has Rose’s best interests at heart, as Rose closes the letter with “we'll [Rose and Sparrow] be together again one day. He promised me”.
And honestly, I think Scythe’s only goal at this point is to die. He’s had centuries of suffering and seeing Albion in turmoil. The reason we haven’t seen him since the days of the Hero of Oakvale is because he’s fed up. He’s searching for some way to die. The description of his warhammer says that it's foretold that he will return to Albion. But this just raises questions. If he’s not in Albion, where is he? Searching for something he cannot find.
In conclusion, Scythe is one of the more complex characters in the Fable universe. While he may not have changed himself completely like Reaver, or became a constant presence to our three protagonists like Theresa - our other two immortal characters - Scythe is someone with so much overlooked depth. Maze was correct when he described him as a shell. Yet at the same time he has been locked in that shell since the battle with the Court.

(Fan Lore)
I had this pic lying around in my screenshot collection and I felt like making a height comparison chart.  These are most of the NPCs I use when I make FO4 Machinimas.
Red names are generic enemies/presets that I “adopted” and gave names to.
Black names are regular characters
Blue names are my OC/Player characters.
Obviously this isn’t official but I felt like making/uploading this for imagination’s sake.
