I blame @simpingforcys for this one because one of my friends dared me to make a King Candy thirst-trap(??? IF YOU COULD CALL IT THAT LMAO) after seeing the last AMV and also browsing a bunch of your thirstposts, so thanks for the roundabout inspiration, fam. 😂😂😂

I'm supposed to be writing. Instead I'm indulging the simps with VERY cursed content. But I am also a simp, so I guess I still win??

"Can I brush your hair?"

A quick DestructiveDamsel (Ralph/Amalphia) fluff fic with hair brushing.

AN: I have like half an inch of hair on my head (buzzcut gang rise up) and I haven't really brushed anyone else's hair. so I may have no idea what I'm saying here

“ouch.”

Ralph fumbled with, then dropped the comb that was pinched between his fingers. “Sorry, sorry!” He stammered as he reached down to retrieve the little yellow comb from the floor. 

Amalphia was running her fingers through her accidentally pulled hair, looking over her shoulder at Ralph with a furrowed brow. He wiped it off on his shirt and put the comb back where it originally was on Amalphia's vanity before she had handed it to him. 

Ralph gave a heavy sigh. “This was a bad idea.” he rubbed the back of his neck. Amalphia frowned. 

“Ralph…” she said softly. He'd been so eager when he asked her if he could try brushing her hair. Not moments ago she had smiled and let him pull a stool up behind her. “...You didn't do it on purpose. You didn't even pull anything out.” She tried to reassure Ralph, but her words just bounced off him.

Ralph grunted, scooting back to get up. “I know. I just- I'm no good doing delicate stuff like this.” He replied. He was probably beating himself up about it. “I'm glad you let me try.” He added, forcing a smile.

Amalphia turned around quickly to grab his thumb. “Ralph, please.” She insisted. She didn't like doing it, but she gave him that pleading look he couldn't resist. She told herself it was for his sake. He sat back down after hesitating. 

“Amalphia, I don't know if I can. It's…”

“...the comb. It's too small for your hands. You can't hold it right.” Amalphia finished his sentence, even though that wasn't what he was going to say. She opened the drawer in her vanity. After rummaging around a little, she pulled out a brush with firm bristles. She handed it to Ralph.

She was right, it was easier to hold. Ralph could easily pinch the handle between two fingers and his thumb. A tiny smile tugged at his lips. 

“You're sure?” Ralph asked. Amalphia had already turned to face forward again. She nodded. 

With the utmost care, Ralph slowly ran the brush through her hair. The loose curls bounced when the stroke was done. 

“A little firmer, Ralph. Get it closer to the scalp.” Amalphia said softly. She was making eye contact with him using the mirror.

“Oh- right.” He said, pressing the brush a little harder on the next run through. 

A few strokes in, Ralph paused. He hadn't noticed her starting, but Amalphia was humming. She glanced at him, and Ralph shook his head and got back to brushing. 

The melody was measured and practiced. This song was something Amalphia knew in her code, and she hummed it well. Ralph could feel his shoulders relax a little from it, even. 

Each pass of the brush was more natural than the last. Ralph found himself very calm. His eyes had fallen half lidded, and he was smiling a little. Her hair was so soft. It felt nice against his fingers. He was glad she got him to try again. 

Ralph flicked his gaze to her face in the mirror. She was watching him, a deeply loving look on her face. Ralph smiled back at her before shifting his focus back to brushing her hair. He was almost done.

Ralph tucked the last strand of hair behind Amalphia's ear and ran the brush through it. He held it in the hook of his finger a little longer, just to lean forward and kiss her on the cheek.

Amalphia’s humming rattled off key into a giggle. “Ralph-” she choked a little through laughter. “...you did great.” She smiled, Pulling her hair over her shoulder so she could start braiding it. 

“No problem.” Ralph replied, glancing away. He was blushing a little. He watched Amalphia styling her hair. She wasn't even looking and her fingers perfectly wove brunette hair into something practical. 

“I should teach you to do this someday.” She used a silk ribbon to tie her hair off, leaving a cute bow. “I really enjoyed that.” She added, standing and straightening her nightgown. Before Ralph could start to get up himself, she kissed him on the nose, her hand lingering on his chest. Ralph felt his breath catch. 

“Let's get to bed, though, huh?” She hummed.

Something that's been living in my head rent free for the past week because of my Ralph/Turbo brainrot is the idea of Tapper or someone asking Turbo about Ralph back in the 80s and the conversation going something like this:

Not entirely satisfied with the way I drew Ralph but it's my first time drawing him at all and given how horrible my first attempts of drawing King Candy also went, I think I can cut myself some slack lmao

okay in all seriousness, designing vanny, if she were to be an animal, was real fun! Though I had a hard time with her colors so I just threw everything out the window and grayscaled her. STILL. I based her off a spider monkey, couldn't really pick which species, resulting in MAKING MY OWN! Introducing Vanellope!! The Sugar Monkey!! ohohoh I'm a genius alright

oh yeah, these guys r here too. Ralph as a bear was an easy pick. One: they're protective; two: gentle giants; three: feared more than they should be. Also this is technically the first time I drew Ralph. Go me 🎉

KC was bit of a tough decision, but ultimately I drew him as a goofy ahh butterfly. Honestly he just looks the same besides having the basic features (antenna, wings, multiple arms). Now that I think about it however, maybe having him be a bug is... too on the nose, hmmmm ���

Okay turbo took me, like, five minutes to draw because I immediately knew which animal he would be. Dude, no hate to hyenas but they just appear to look so menacing. And their dim fur and yellow sharp teeth just instantly made me think of turbo. (I'm no zoologist so I do apologize if it seems I'm mischaracterizing hyenas. I promise that's not the case 🙏)

overall, I'm pretty proud of these designs and I may consider doing more for other characters. We'll see.

Some real quick Ralph relationship hcs-

Ralph was straight up in denial when Vanellope told him you was clearly into him. He was too dense to notice himself, so he just thought you're was just close with him.

It took several months worth of insisting from Vanellope (she even got Felix in on it) for Ralph to even start to consider that maybe someone could be romantically attracted to him.

He finally believes it when you tell him yourself.

At the start of the relationship I think Ralph would try to do "what you're supposed to do" when dating. Pet names that sound kinda forced, bringing you flowers, stereotypical dates.

It would take a little bit of prying out of him for Ralph to just be himself in the relationship.

After that, he's more laid back, spending quality time, not really using pet names, rather just your name or a shortened version.

His love language is physical affection. Guy's a hugger, and he just loves to snuggle with you, spending a quiet evening. He really loves it when you kiss him on the cheek or run your fingers through his hair. It puts a big, dopey smile on his face while he's red like a beet.

Speaking of blushing, this guy blushes a lot. Sometimes he gets so red in the cheeks, the honeyglows get into his ears too.

He'd be too flustered to do it himself, so in the event of getting engaged, you'd have to be the one proposing.

When you're marrying him for real, he accidentally slips the ring meant for him into your wrist. It's quickly corrected, though.

Something that's been on my mind recently.

After Turbo dies in the diet soda inferno, Amalphia drops the Dutchess persona and eventually begins a relationship with Ralph, where she fully realizes how toxic her relationship with Turbo was. Eventually, Ralph and Amalphia are getting married, but who should crash the wedding but the cybug king himself.
