hierophant, hanged man, tower
05. the hierophant : what are your muse’s morals / ethics ? do they follow their moral code strictly ?
Jurys morals are a bit iffy and haywire and this comes from the fact that he struggles with low to no empathy, but extremely high compassion. he has been taught his entire life that he is essentially the eye in which fairness beholds. he was what the followers of his Grandfathers cult would look towards for spiritual and moral assistance, and Jury overall was generally ok with this, he knows right from wrong pretty well. The issue is, Jurys morals are entirely defined by what is best for a greater whole, and do not include him in the equation at all. Much like how he was at the church, Jury views himself as someone who is not held to the same moral standards as others, he views himself as a natural disaster, a storm, and morals are for the people caught in the storm, not the storm itself. He frequently fantasizes about hurting or damaging other people just because they upset him or because hes grown bored. He enjoys the rush violence and power bring him. That being said, Jury his entire life has loathed this part of him, and has attempted to control himself in other ways. He frequently punishes his body by overexerting it for these thoughs, thinking that to keep his mind and form in shape he has to ensure he is a morally disciplined person. He believes its hypocritical to punish those for their morals if he isn't doing it to himself as well, so he views it as an equalibrium. he does it to keep himself balanced. needless to say, the inconsistant beliefs lead him to be a wishy washy, finicky person who flip flops on morals, but always strikes the hammer down despite it. He is aimless. He always misses his target.
16. the tower : what event drastically changed your muse’s life ? do they resent that event or are they glad of it ?
speaking about missing targets!! Jurys biggest change in his life was after he was blinded, after the horror terror was bound to his body. His grandfather in religious desperation inacted in a ritual in hopes to summon god and all that outwardly ended up happening was Jurys loss in sight. His life changed drastically. before blinding, Jury was. Well he was a rule breaker, he didn't want to be a priest and saw the role as unimportant. He liked to play games, pretend games where he'd be the badguy and scare all the other kids, he loves to go through things that weren't his, he was both excited for life and also extremely curious, rambunctious. He was a lot like little Juno, almost exactly the same tbh. Charmingly weird. and the thing is, Dove allowed these behaviors with little to no punishment because he believed Jury would be the second coming of his god. But after the ritual failed, Dove began treating Juno in the exact way Dove treated his biological son, James, unforgiving, cold, extremely worried about appearence. So Jury not only lost his autonomy to do the things he liked, he also lost the affection and leniency his grandfather gave him. The hammer came down hard on him. Every joke or pretend game was seen as an insult or bad behavior, he wasn't ever allowed to be left alone, his life became a monotonous gruel of being tended to and tending to others, all while he lost faith completely along with his grandpa. Dove forced Jury to keep up the act of belief to save face, but both of them were attempting to cover up the fact that they don't believe in god anymore. they became conmen together, shilling out fake prophecies and beliefs so their following wouldn't turn on them, something Dove assured Jury WOULD happen if they ever found out. This is also when Juno entered Jurys life, and he was given access to the skaia clouds and prospit secrets, a funnel of knowledge was placed in the back of his spirit. Dove took this as Jury taunting him, because before then, all of Jurys claims to hear a god was void based. It was all fake, based off of creepypastas and other scary stories he saw online, but Dove believed every word of it he said. Now hes saying hes speaking to the sun instead of the moon, that hes burning up and things are giving him information he doesnt want. Dove took it as taunting, as lying, and he was harshly punished for yhis too. Its a horrible situation, and is something Jury can't let go of. Its his biggest anguish still, he resents it 100%

I need to know what those thoughts are!!!!!
Lmao it depends on how you feel about pleasing how you’ll feel about my thoughts tbh. Let’s get into this though. This is probably going to end up under a cut because I'm just going to word vom and see what happens lol
First for a quick wee thought on the actual product, so I own three polish sets (perfect pearl, shroom bloom and hot holiday), I also have the pleasing pen, I had the hot holiday spritz and I own two apparel items, the pink shroom bloom frog tshirt and the original black pleasing sweatshirt. The nail polishes I'm a bit ropey about, I don't use them that much because I do my own extensions and gels, but when I do I find they chip easily, which could also be a me issue because I use my hands in all of my work so they take a bit of a beating, colour pay off is great, some colours need a few coats but decent enough. What I will say about the nail stuff though, Pleasing nail stickers are some of the best nail stickers I've ever used, but I need to hit someone over the head whoever keeps deciding to make full coverage nail wrap stickers, that's not what the girlies want and if anyones using them, you're lying to yourself. The wee illustration ones from Shroom Bloom and I suppose the wee letters from Perfect Pearl and my gals! I have burnt through them and I would love to be able to buy more of just the stickers they're so feckin good! Apparel is good, I appreciate the sustainable practices, they wash well, I've never had any fit issues with them, yeah 10/10. I'd like to own one of the lambswool jumpers from a curiosity point of view but not sure I'm in the headspace to drop 260 on it without feeling it first. The pleasing pen is good I'm a big fan of it, it sometimes reacts a bit iffy with at least one thing in my skincare routine for the under eye but its not bothered me enough for me to actually look into what's reacting with it. I'm a slut for a lip oil so I love the lip end. I also loved the toner spritz from Hot Holiday and if I ever make another Pleasing purchase I will be adding another one of those into my order. Idk if it ever really done anything life changing, I just liked it.
What I'm going to say first, I do think Harry still has a sufficient level of say on what's being released etc. Do I think he's sitting in all the creative meetings coming up with the story of the next drop? No, but I do feel like he's in the loop and could say no or "how about this" and have some form of creative control. I think what they're selling and the brands target market versus their actual current customer base, don't completely match up. I think what needs to be said, Pleasing do not want to sell to Harries, and when I say "Harries" I mean like Harries ™️©️ . The gals with Harry in their profile picture and Harry-coded social media handles, Pleasing do not want to use you to promote the brand, but who is Pleasings biggest consumer currently? Harries. I think the push back of that is really evident, have you ever noticed when Pleasing repost consumers content on their instagram story and occasionally their grid, its from peoples social channels who appear to have no visible connection to being a fan of Harry on their socials or if they do its very understated. Pleasing want to be a luxury brand not a singers merchandise. Next time you see Pleasing repost consumer photos, have a look and pay attention who they are reposting and you'll notice it, because we all know fan accounts are buying it, posting it, and tagging pleasing in it, but they won't see the light of day of Pleasings feed. By them pushing these “non-fans” (and that’s not to say they’re not fans of Harry, they probably are they just don’t look like the fan girl Harries the brands trying to hide) photos it sells a story of "look this isn't just fangirls buying it because it's Harry Styles, look at all these normal people buying our products!!" to entice normal beauty and apparel consumers to consider shopping with Pleasing the brand and not Harry Styles' brand Pleasing.
Their price point is proof of this also. Pleasing is expensive, we been knew. What I will say first though, sustainability is fucking expensive. I can't speak about price points of sustainable materials in the cosmetics industry because I know nothing about that, but I do know about sustainable textiles, and they're incredibly expensive, and pleasing are truly doing the most they can do in their apparel to create it ethically and sustainably, and that comes at a cost. Sustainably sourced cotton can be priced up to four times the price of more accessible cottons. Then of course they want to be deemed a luxury brand, so that comes with a luxury mark-up. Mark ups are a thing that’s how brands make money. When I first started studying fashion and textiles I had a professional development course that had us create and cost a single garment and the mark up percentage was set at 200% that’s just how it is. Now we all know that Harry fans come from all walks of life, age range, economic backgrounds, what jobs and careers we have etc, that's all obvious to us who are involved in that. To the boomers and big wigs behind the desks however, they think that the people who run the fan accounts etc are still the teeny bopper gals who have to get their parents to take them to the concert and ask for the concert tickets for their Christmas and birthdays etc (which fyi there is nothing wrong with but this is all hypothetical etc) and therefore won't be able to afford Pleasing with their own money if they even have their own money. So if they can price those people out they won't have to deal with the Harries ™️ looking like their only customer base. When as I said before, that's not the case, the gals running the fan accounts aren't just the 13 year olds with their dads card and a dream any longer. I'm a 26 year old woman with my own disposable income and a Tumblr blog who happens to own some Pleasing products.
So I think Pleasing try to distance themselves publicly from Harry as they can, but they still need to involve him at some base level to get the ball rolling with sales etc. Hence he uses the apparel publicly, he appeared in the fragrance advert because that was a new venture for them, not that I'm saying he's forced into that, that makes me sound like one of those mad conspiracy people and that's not what I'm getting at. Of course he likes his own product, he would be mad to put out something he doesn't wholeheartedly like, that would cause more damage than good, but if he's involved visually, that triggers the Harries TM to buy into the product spiking the sales therefore garnering the interest of their actual target market, they start reposting "normal" consumer photos therefore causing more "normal" customers to buy into it. I think they would love to cut out that "Harries TM" stage but that's not going to happen just yet.
However, I think the fragrance launch is the step in the right direction for them to get to that. Firstly, fragrance people are mental, they love buying into new fragrance brands, reviewing etc. They were who was at that Selfridges launch that first day. They connect with other fragrance consumers and collectors, not the "Harries," if they like the product, they bring in the fragrance lover demographic, which is who Pleasing want. As a quick aside, I think the price point of the fragrance is actually pretty fair, for 100ml bottles, decorative bottles, sustainable for both the perfume and the packaging and it was made with a legitimate perfumer.
Next, they choose to launch at the corner shop at Selfridges rather than the ordinary London pop-up shop they've done previously. Why is that important? Did you know there are only four Selfridges stores. That's a level of exclusivity Pleasing are after. Harrods would be another level but as far as I'm aware Harrods don't have an equivalent space to The Corner Shop in Selfridges therefore don't do things like pop-ups etc its more permanent brands within the shop. If Pleasing were an apparel only brand I could see them doing something similar in Dover Street Market, and I wouldn't write that off as something that won't happen in the future because I think it could. People who regularly shop in Selfridges are also the people Pleasing want to be buying their product, who have a bit more of a frivolous disposable income. The U.S doesn't have the equivalent shop I don't believe to do a similar style of launch hence they've had to go with independent pop-ups in LA and New York, where they already know that it's likely that the majority of customers visiting those pop-ups are going to be Harry fans first rather than the luxury consumers they can pick up from just having a visible presence in Selfridges. If they were to do an in-store launch in the U.S, maybe Bergdorf's perhaps but I think they inch towards a more Harrods level and Pleasing aren't there. Places like Bloomingdales and Macy's are also not exclusive enough for the launch Pleasing they want. They are a small scale luxury brand and I truly believe they want to stay that way for the time being anyway, hence they're launching in a shop that only has four physical locations.
To cut a long story short ig? The product is decent but who they're making it for and who's actually buying it doesn't quite marry up right now and I think the still have to rely on Harry being Harry and being liked and likeable outside of his own fans and have him involved visually to generate sales rather than the brand being able to stand on its own two feet in the luxury market.
#this is a lot of shite I think and I’m not sure it makes any sense#but I find it interesting to think and talk about so dive on in besties#ask#anon

13, 14, and 29 for the JJBA ask game!!
13. Fave thing about the Jojo fandom?
Is it sad that it's a little hard to do because the fandom itself I'm so iffy on? But I like small, specific pockets of the fandom... aka my friends lol. But fr the self-ship community has been pretty nice as well as a bunch of the fic creators, very supportive, great parts of the fandom.
14. Fave thing about the Jojo series?
Honestly it's the music references, I think it's such a fun and unique part. The art style is also so distinct, which I think is very important for anything.
29. Rank your order, favourite to least favourite of: All the Jojos
I feel... I might... get some backlash... I will not be ranking Johnny or Gappy because I don't know that much about them. And tbh... if I was to rank Johnny based on what I know... I don't think he's going anywhere near the top as far as my personal tastes go.
6. Giorno: I don't dislike him at all, I do like Giorno a lot, but I think he was the least interesting in his part's cast, so that brought his score down for me.
5. Joseph: Look... yes he's a dick+cheated on Suzi, but I don't like DIU anyways. He at least had an active presence in his own part and I have a soft spot for SDC Joseph.
4. Jotaro: I feel like Jotaro's just too likeable. He's quiet like Giorno, but he doesn't take a back seat in his own story and we do see him appear the most in the series, so he's always present in our minds. He's like the bridge between the older and younger Jojos.
3. Josuke: Another case of taking a back seat in his own story, but when Josuke's on screen, he had such personality you forget that there were eps where he wasn't in the spotlight. I really wanted to see more of him and his adventures, maybe I would've liked DIU more.
2. Jonathan: I can't imagine the series without Jonathan. He was so resilient and kind, he was the blueprint from the Jojos. I always have a soft spot for the first of anything I watch. Iconic design, OP, and villain.
1. Jolyne: She broke her family's curse and achieved ultimate peace to do what she wanted. Amazing design and design progression, you see her grow and learn with her stand more than any other Jojo, she was a breath of fresh air for the series.
Like with the OPs, I might go more in depth on my ranking selection in a separate post and why I think my brain has ranked them like this.

Tbh Reid or not you should watch criminal minds if you like crime shows! Reid’s appearance changes quite a lot cause he’s younger than the rest at the beginning (a massive plot thing for him) but honestly the show itself is just a really good type of pain. They do a lot less of showing the gore and blood and more delving into the behavior of the killer which I think is a bit of a different take than most of the crime shows I’ve watched. There’s also a lot of psychological plots that mess with you rather than images that make you wanna cry which I massively prefer.
There’s also some really badass women in the show throughout. And my favorite seasons are like 3-9 just cause you can tell in the first season they’re trying to set up the show but it makes up for it insanely fast (like only the first episode is kinda bleh)
I’ve been recommended it a lot! I think it’s def possible I’d like it, just based on the little bits I know, but I think I’ve always been iffy because of the length of the show’s run and if I’ll like it enough to stick around lmao and have the attention span to watch the entirety but we’ll see!

ohhh ok. Yea it def can be read as antisemitic, which, looking at the goblins too, looks pretty accurate. 😞 😠. i still think if any Snape fan did notice those features and that link, they are much more likely to ignore it and continue portray Snape as he is described rather than drop his appearance all together. After all, greasy hair + large hooked nose doesn’t inherently have to be portrayed as negative and ugly. As long as u don’t focus on it( like jkr did) I think we r fine and anyway there are few ppl in the Snape fandom who comment negatively about Snape’s appearance.
thank you! it’s just, to me, there are so many other things each character represents and to like/ hate a character based on physical appearance alone just feels a bit shallow. Not something I liked at 12 and definitely not something I like now.
it was def smth that made me iffy about the marauders fandom; there is such an emphasis on all the liked characters being these hot amazing bombshells and it’s just- I wanted to read about these characters because I saw myself in them. Focus on appearance isn’t inherently bad, but too much just diminishes the value of the character, to me. I’m so happy you feel the same! :)
snetunia is an amazing pairing, I’m so excited to read it in your writing. Not my favorite, ( I don’t ship Snape much and when I do it’s with Remus) but like it has so much potential tbh.
guys i've been wondering since i know almost nothing about the snape fandom (i'm not in it, and have no interest in being in it) but do his fans acknowledge the whole 'greasy hair', 'ugly', 'big nose' thing?? i know that snape fans find him hot and stuff, but do you leave those features out of his fanon character? because i think it's common knowledge that those things are massive jewish stereotypes and pretty antisemitic on jkr's part, however then would it also be offensive to ignore those features because they're inherently unconventionally attractive, and by trying to make him more attractive, you're saying that a character has to be pretty to be liked??

tbh you can't tell people not to send you questions about iceland ships bc he's a minor and then ship estonia with sweden. estonia is canonically 17 just like iceland. shipping either of them with any nordics is weird
Well, you would have a point if I had ever seen Estonia as 17 years old, but I don't.
In all honesty you might be one of the first people I have personally seen/read who actually sees Estonia as 17? Which is fine and valid, but I also want to clarify that at a bare minimum I see Estonia as 23+ years old, usually even older, and the majority of the Hetalia fans from at least the NB8 countries do the same.
The ages in Hetalia have always been wonky at best, but I don't think I will ever be convinced a nation so closely connected to the Scandinavian and Finnish history have the appearence of a 17y old - especially while knowing the history of Estonian Vikings' burning passion. (10 points for anyone getting the reference.)
Based on history it would even make more sense if Estonia was older than Sweden and Finland, but at the very least Estonia would be around the same age. It's canon hws Sweden existed as a personification during the Viking times, which basically means Estonia also did.
Anyway, we could probaby argue about their ages until we turn blue, but the end of the day we all view characters differently - and that's okay. Please just keep in mind I see Estonia as 23+ years old at a bare minimum, and in human AUs he's usually 1-3 year older than Sweden and/or Finland.
.
Now, my point in the DenNor ask was that I have repeatedly made it clear I see Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland as siblings - but I have also talked about Iceland being a minor/their baby-brother a few times before as well. That's how I view them.
So yeah, it started to get a bit weird and annoying when people kept insisting on asking me for shipping headcanons between characters I have stated to see as siblings.
This is my Tumblr blog.
It's perfectly fine to see characters differently, but I'm not going to make myself uncomfortable on my own blog by making up shipping headcanons for characters I view as siblings, and especially not just because some random anon(s) on the internet asked/demanded me to do so.
I'm happy to answer questions/requests people might have whenever I can, but that also means the asker(s) need to respect my rules and how I view the characters. If they don't agree with how I see someone, that's fine, but then there's also better Tumblr blogs to ask instead.
Do you like DenNor? Ask a DenNor blog. Do you like DenSu? Ask a DenSu blog.
The same could be same about any other shipping out there, not just about Nordics. You wouldn't ask for UsUk headcanons from a FrUk blog, now would you?
So yeah, my point was to not ask the blog who have repeatedly told people how much they love Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland as siblings (or that they view Iceland as a minor, for the matter) for shipping stuff between said siblings.
That's when things get iffy, for a lack of a better word.

I don’t want to judge their chemistry based on a post-credit scene, but so far… yeah, looks iffy. I love Charlize and I love Ben C separately, but I see no sparks. This is why Christine should’ve never existed and Rachel should’ve been cast as Clea since the beginning. She has the right amount of badass and sweetness that Clea needs, and Clea should’ve been in the first film. Charlize is too rough around the edges. They can make it work with a good writer, tbh, but I’m not holding my breath.
Ah, that sounds like such a good route sweet Nonny. I really do enjoy Rachel’s sweetness, as well as her firmness. She’s got both which is very difficult to pull off. Usually people will lean one way or the other but she does it with ease.
Also….I know it’s just a little glimpse at Clea but that costume and wig didn’t really do her justice. It didn’t really scream other worldly to me. It just made me think of a mascot. Which is really, really bad. Charlize is a gorgeous lady but they made her look so washed out.
Also it’s a bit weird to me that Stephen just took her word for it and jumped into the Dark Dimension again. Just really bizarre. I think they should have cut that scene where he’s screaming while a third eye appears or at least edited it better. He went from screaming in terror to 🎶 making my way down town 🎶 walking fast faces pass and I’m homebound 🎶

Hakuoki Ramblings (Part 2.5?)
hello. so i wanted to do a sorta character analysis thing (it's probably gonna read out more like a 'reasons why i love X and they have a place in my brain) and so i decided to do a seperate, spe-shal post for this. and who better than mah boi okita?
from the moment he first appeared on my screen and said those infamous first lines, he took away my breath (and my sanity, and the top spot on my ultimate husbando list. but i digress). even now, my love for okita is strong as always (even iba isn't enough, like he's great and all, but i feel like i like him because of the potential he had as opposed to his actual character).
the other okita souji I've seen (who is also based on the real life figure, albeit loosely) is the Okita Sougo of Gintama. in the show (which is hard to slug through but it's pre good, i'd recommend to watch), okita is seen as a sadistic swordsman who has his insane moments and a rivalry with hijikata, the "demonic vice-commander". the reason why i note this is because there are quite a lot of similarities between the two.
the thing with hijikata-> throughout both series, okita pokes fun at hijikata. in hakuoki, this manifests in the form of banter whereas in gintama, the "poking fun" is brought up to a whole 'nother level as okita (repeatedly, and unsuccessfully) tries to kill hijikata. either way, it provides a form of entertainment and in the case of hakuoki , provides some lightheartedness to the gravity of the game (can't say for the anime, cuz i haven't watched it). favourite, memorable, moments include:
the ishida medicinal powder thing
THE HAIKUS
when okita points out that chizuru was assigned to be an attendent to hijikata and okita is told to shut it (memory is a little iffy on that part, it was chapter 1-something)
(still can't format the fooking thing, i lied, i can't do it but this is numero 2) the sadistic side. in the game, okita's sadistic side is not so much sadistic in verbal terms as it is just bloodthirsty, self-depravating (in some instances) comments. same with his killing style, i feel (note: has been a very very long while since i completed this man's route so could be inaccurate) that he's not the sorta person that would slowly torture and kill someone (unless pushed over the edge which he is pre close to, admittedly) but rather would go with one slice/stab and get high in the rush of life.
the light brown hair (apologies, i forgot most of my arguments because I'm coming back to this after weeks. was supposed to end the year with this and now its march. )
snarky comments. a lot of snarky comments.
(oh god i want to play hakuoki again, it's been too long. but life. but hot anime men. will get back to this one.) here are just some hakuoki specific ones.
abs. (ik a lot of characters have shirtless cgs. i haven't seen okita's yet so i can't say ive seen them per se but he's a hot anime warrior dude- he has some)
the fact that he based his hairstyle on kondou (KYAAAA)
this is long enough as is tbh, and my brain hurts from too much science. but hey, i am able to proclaim my love for a psychotic-warrior-dude-based-on-a-now-dead-guy which kinda weirded me out when i first thought of it this way because then the question remains, do i simp for a dead guy or a reinterpretation of him? in that case, could i say that i am truly a devotee for the mans? (at the same time, i know people simp over irl serial criminals and george michael)
in the end, i will not pull a nick gatsby and wait for a long time for what was simply attraction to ideals to be reciprocated at all. although i suppose i am less pitiful, in that i am aware that it will never happen. now please excuse me as i still continue to stare into that green light and bask in the temporary happiness it may provide me
#hakuoki ramblings#i figured why not make this a tag#hakuoki#okita souji#i started uni#i love it but god do i hate physics#why did i take physics#i need to do my lit readings#lit is fun#may update more often idk idk

Reflecting on Superman and Lois season 1
Now that the season is over, its interesting to look back at a very stop start season. Its very difficult for a show to hold your interest with the type of scheduling problems this show had, and in its very first season. When the show was announced, I wasn't terribly surprised but I was also not overly excited. There has been a lot of Superman and Superman adjacent material that has come out before and after the announcement so I did wonder about what they could do new. In addition, while I certainly liked Tyler in his guest appearances in Supergirl, in Elseworlds, and in Crisis, he did feel like the inferior Superman in Crisis when he was opposite Brandon Routh's Superman who really looked and felt like Superman, even better than he did in Superman Returns. However, once the trailer dropped, I was sold. It was clear that the show was going for something a lot more cinematic and a lot more grounded than the previous Arrowverse shows. I did have some apprehensiveness over the teenage boys angle because teenagers can become very stereotypically irritating in shows and given that a good chunk of time was going to be dedicated to them, it was going to be vital for them not be so.
Having finished the season, I have to say that the execs and the writers have pulled off an excellent first season. I don't think I would call it the best season 1 in the Arrowverse. I still love The Flash season 1 over any other Arrowverse season and while I haven't seen it in a while, I love Arrow season 1 as well. This may come at 2nd or 3rd place based on further reflection. I do think its has some issues when it comes to the villain storyline and with the big action set pieces, but the film's heart is set at the right place and the characters are all very likable and you want to see conversations between the characters. That's when you know that the writers are doing a good job when you almost feel that the show should go back to the character moments.
Firstly, the idea of a matured Superman is what works wonderfully well. There is something wonderful about seeing Clark and Lois as a couple who have known and loved each other for over a decade. Closer to two decades I guess. Characters don't quite look their age tbh. Lois would have to be in her early 40's at least. But I can honestly overlook that. Bitsie and Tyler were already a very likable couple in Elseworlds and the show has just used that natural chemistry to brilliant effect. But the big relief was that Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin are excellent as Jonathan and Jordan. I was initially a little worried that Jordan could be a little much, but both of them were excellent and one of the highlights of the season was the bond between the two brothers. Jordan and Jonathan have conflicts but they are brothers and they love and support each other unconditionally.
Jonathan could have so easily been the douchey, jealous brother but Elsass is honestly one of the mvp's of the season. You really care for Jonathan, even though he arguably has a slightly less meaty role in the story. I think Bitsie Tulloch is outstanding all season. She has shot up very high among all my favorite Lois Lanes. She's very different from the other versions and that makes her stand out. One of my favorite episodes was episode 8, which deals with Lois dealing with memories of her miscarriage along with almost losing Jonathan. She is excellent in that episode as is Elsass. Tyler is wonderful throughout. He's a strong Superman but his Clark is even more endearing. Little things like him being so psyched for the Harvest Festival, how he plays young Clark in flashbacks as someone distinctly different, him meeting Lois and working with her for the first time, the adorable "my mom made it" moment when Superman first saves a kid etc... He just embodies everything you know and love from the character. Wole Parks is another terrific addition. Initially you think he's an alternate version of Lex Luthor but it was genius idea to have him actually be John Henry Irons. There was something innately likable about him even when he was fighting Superman and we thought he was Lex. I loved how they handled the dynamic of being Lois' husband in another world and having a daughter. It makes for an interesting dynamic but it never gets into problematic territory because he is mature enough to know that this Lois isn't his Lois, but they also show his difficulty in dealing with that. I liked the bond he seemed to be forming with Jonathan. And I liked how he came along to be an ally with Superman.
The Cushings are ok. They play an important part in the season with Sarah Cushing being Jordan's love interest and Kyle being a big part of the how the villain story begins, with Lana also being a major character in the story. All three actors are excellent but Kyle does have the stereotypical doucheyness which was a little annoying for the first 10 episodes, however he does redeem himself in the final arc. I hope Lana gets to be a bit more active in the show because she does feel like a bit passive as a character. However, I did find that Sarah and Jordan romance actually pretty cute. Both actors did a nice job making them feel like awkward teenagers, dancing around their feelings for each other. Sam Lane is another character who starts out pretty unlikable but I warmed up to him by the end.
Where I think the show doesn't really work at full strength is the superheroic aspect of the show. The character drama in the show is great. I think it works gangbusters. The superhero plot of it all is a little meh. While Adam Rayner is perfectly fine as Edge/Tal-Rho, as a character he's just not that interesting. There is an interesting perspective there that he's sort of a mirror image to Clark where he got mistreated by people when he landed on Earth and that is how his worldview shaped that way, and he longed for family, but there isn't enough done on a character level with him. As a result, the last third of the season was a little iffy. The whole, build Krypton on Earth felt like a variation of Zod's plot in Man of Steel. The method is different but the eventual outcome is the same. I also don't know why all Kryptonians, apart from Lara, are homicidal maniacs, when they are said to be a peaceful race. The arc also becomes repetitive because there are like three climaxes. And I feel the finale was the weakest climax of the lot. Episode 10 or 12 would have served as better finales with a little tweaking. If I remember correctly, the original order was for 13 episodes and it got extended to 15, so this might be an explanation to why it feels this way. The action is fairly by the numbers. While it looks like there is clearly more money on display here than say for Supergirl or The Flash, the action scenes aren't particularly exciting or inventive.
While I am not super high on the finale, I am mostly happy with how things wrapped up. I think they should have had Tal-Rho die tragically because I really don't think he's interesting enough to be brought back again. The arrival of Natalie Irons will surely be a source of some emotionally charged scenes. i hope there is some character bonding between the her and the brothers. Jonathan seemed pretty interested in meeting her when he saw videos of her. I do wonder how the show will continue to incorporate Smallville as a setting. Season 1 obviously had a very specific plot based reason to be in Smallville, given Edge's plot was based in Smallville. But I can't imagine every big bad will have Smallville based plot. But the characters are all settled in Smallville, with the Cushings and Lois buy half the Gazette and running it with Christy. So that's going to be an interesting balancing act that they have to do. I hope they can bring in some traditional superheroics as well because Superman rogues gallery is rich enough. Out of the episodes, I think 6-8 were my favorites, and the flashbacks in episode 11 were incredibly charming. While the season is not flawless I don't think it completely nailed the superheroic heights that it was aiming for, it was a really entertaining season of tv. An 8/10 for me.

dragon bride [xiaxue and sicheng]
Word Count: 1,289 Summary: how the two react and behave around the other and the likes.
dragon bride masterlist.
tbh, i based this on a few things like Once Upon A Time starring Yang Yang and Liu Yifei. another one with Aaron Yan’s mv song for That’s Not Me and some other things when i went researching. gosh, so much dynasties to go through and read about to make sure it fit somewhere with what the original author had set it in. i honestly don’t remember and can’t access as the story itself has disappeared, Admin Lia~
IMMORTAL/MORTAL NAME : 蚩吻; Chīwěn / 思成; Sīchéng TRUE FORM : fish and dragon hybrid Sīchéng is the third born son of the Dragon King and is known as the Ridge-Swallowing Beast as he likes to swallow things, but also because his figures are placed on ridgepoles of roofs to swallow all evil influences. He is also in charge of rainfall and so his dragon design has the purpose of safeguarding palaces from fire.
NICKNAME(S) FOR HIM : Xiàxuě hardly called Sīchéng by his mortal name and would always address him with his immortal name if he wanted to be named at the start of their relationship. Because for her it felt weird to Xiàxuě to call him by just his name as it's mainly due to his very high status and that she was brought up to be respectful. Of course this irked Sīchéng despite telling Xiàxuě otherwise. Over time it's gotten better though, but every now and then Xiàxuě would call him Chīwěn without thinking.
▸ Zhǔ (主) : Lord ▸ Géxià (阁下) : Excellency ▸ Fūjūn (夫君) : Husband (when he doesn't like the other two) ▸ Xiānshēng (先生) : Man of the House (husband per se) ▸ Lǎogōng (老公) : Yue dialect of saying husband ▸ ChéngChéng (成成) : just the second part of his name doubled (when they've become closer and she's able to call him this without hesitating to do so)
NICKNAME(S) FOR HER : because of the names that Xiàxuě would call him by Sīchéng calls her by the same other names out of pettiness as well despite it being out of character for him too since she insists on using the other names than his own. Later on though it does get better.
▸ Xiàyǔ (下雨) : Raining (similar to her real name meaning Snowing, but clearly wrong and on purpose) ▸ Fūrén (夫人) : "Wife" (refers her to this when she calls him Fūjūn) ▸ Tàitài (太) : Lady of the House (wife per se) ▸ Lǎopó (老婆) : Yue dialect of saying wife ▸ XuěXuě (雪雪) : just the second part of her name doubled (when they've become closer and when she starts calling him ChéngChéng) ▸ YǔYǔ (雨雨) : just like above and the second part of her supposed name doubled (it later becomes more of an endearment and is something that refreshes him to which she doesn’t mind over time)
PERSONALITY : Being the third son and one of the oldest of nine brothers, Sīchéng is able to handled things quite well. Especially, when things go wrong or when problems arises or suffering occurs without being anxious or annoyed by them and accepts it as it comes. This makes Sīchéng appear to have a modest nature and that he isn't any better than another despite his own status. Due to this, Sīchéng is able to keep a watchful eye out for any potential danger or difficulties that may occur when he's out and about. As Sīchéng takes precaution in the safety of others and is quite a capable person. His unchanging attitude and action holds firmly over time and hardly ever deviates.
Which could explain why Sīchéng isn't as expressive as one may think and tends to have a blank expression upon his face. He isn't shy or anything, but he does have a gaze that is hard to connect with. Then again, it's just how he is and Sīchéng rarely cracks a smile in the presence of others unless with those that know him very well. Because to outsiders and those that do not know him very well find Sīchéng to be mysterious and difficult to interpret. As much as others, especially from his brothers, would like for Sīchéng to be more verbal or expressive he prefers to let the actions speak for themselves. Truth be told in all honesty, Sīchéng does have a curiously quaint side to him that's slightly mischievous when the moment for it to occur happens without much thought on his end. Again, a rare sight.
Despite Sīchéng's modest nature and still being seen as approachable, Sīchéng's not that forthcoming and often tends to keep to himself in a formal, cool, and distant manner from others. Which causes confusion for others that do interact with Sīchéng when they get the chance to as his actions and how he goes about doing things in a consistent manner, but the meaning behind them is unclear and indefinite. Also factoring in that he hardly talks unless he feels the needs to. Even if others or his brothers persuade Sīchéng to change his ways or attitude of going about it different, he won't as he holds his own ground on his own stance. If others continue to insist and become persistent when Sīchéng's has stated otherwise, his temper will get the best of him. He would like to avoid this at all cost because he's not sure how he will behave and the aftermath is indescribably iffy.
CHARACTER RELATIONSHIP :
▸ Sīchéng honestly really couldn't care any less for what his Dragon Bride may look like or of the background that she may come from. Sīchéng has his own needs and hopes that his Dragon Bride will be able to follow through with what she has agreed to. As for Xiàxuě she isn't sure what to think of except for the stories of the Dragon King being merciful and hopes that his son will be similar. Xiàxuě just hopes it's a life she'll be able to get used to. ▸ Sīchéng isn't disappointed with Xiàxuě at all honestly. He's quite happy to know that she isn't that talkative either and keeps to herself like himself. It's her appearance to someone of his past that shocks him the most, but he never mentions it. As for Xiàxuě she's intimidated by Sīchéng's strong aura and that he's very handsome. Honestly speaking, Xiàxuě was imagining him with scales all over his body along with a fish tail and dragon whiskers. Something like how the Monkey King looks like.
CHARACTER INTERACTIONS :
▸ Sīchéng isn't really sure of what to do with Xiàxuě despite the obvious reason. Although Sīchéng knows that he holds Xiàxuě's fate in his hand, but he doesn't want to force it. It's not in his nature to do so. Sīchéng actually gives Xiàxuě space and time to adjust to her new life. Xiàxuě doesn't see Sīchéng for several days. At first she thinks he's avoiding her, but learns that he only wants her to grow accustom to her new living arrangements. They really don't interact directly, but indirectly through their servants. Sīchéng and Xiàxuě hardly see one another at the start of it all. ▸ It's actually quite slow really as time goes by. Sīchéng has all of these centuries of wisdom and knowledge, but none of which to interact or deal with a mortal woman. While Xiàxuě only has the years of what she lived so far and a majority of her life she only had her father as a prominent male figure and of course her neighbor, Yú Gāo , which she doesn't find is relevant at all. Other than that Xiàxuě becomes bored, curious, and with nothing to do like what she does back at home so Xiàxuě explores Sīchéng's house. Xiàxuě happens to chance upon his library as well as a music room. One of which isn't frequent as often as the other and she spends a majority of her time in the music room. Sīchéng discovers Xiàxuě there one day and hearing the music flow within his home seems to stir the air and fill it up. Everything goes into motion after that day and the two interact more often. Sīchéng expects to hear something being played when he comes home and Xiàxuě doesn't disappoint as she feels like she is now at home.

since he’s your fav, how about ryoma for the character ask?
HOOOO BOY ANON YOU’VE RLLY GONE N DONE IT TODAY HUH!!!!! MR RYOMA TIME!!!!!
What I like about them- god, where do I begin?? His introduction at the beginning of the game was nothing short of spectacular, doing all those flips and jumping over soldier’s heads wielding a katana emanating lightning of all things. I must admit I really like his voice?? Matt Mercer and Nakamura Yuichi are gems and they really did a great job with giving Ryoma a voice that really suited his character!! That of course brings me to his character- I really love that really strong, brave character he has. He appears to be such a strong, serious character, but he’s contrasted with an obvious reckless, at times goofy and even childish side. It’s an interesting concept I wish they explored more. I think really, he just kind of clicked of sorts with me? He has the potential to be a really interesting character.
What I dislike about them- It’s more how he was treated than anything else?? Let’s be real- as much as I love fates to death, the writing wasn’t absolutely superb, and there was a lot of gaps and loopholes in the plot and the characters. I didn’t really like how Ryoma’s character was really...almost forgotten? I saw what they were trying to do with Ryoma in conquest, as well as his character as a whole, but it was just executed poorly, and it’s lead to a lot of people really hating him. I’m not saying he’s some completely despised character of course, but I know quite a few people who are, let’s say....iffy about Ryoma because of how he was written in conquest.
Favourite moment- yes
SERIOUSLY THO,, there are a lot of moments that come to mind, some of which being- his supports with setsuna, felicia and sakura, the moment he comes to the rescue of corrin when they choose to side with hoshido, WHEN HE WAS CROWNED KING OF HOSHIDO.....🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Least favourite moment- I didn’t like how he basically used Elise in conquest to get corrin. I can see why he would have done it, but that doesn’t mean I like it.
A situation with this character I want to see explored more- BACKSTORY. CHARACTERISATION. I think that explains itself really. I would have liked to have seen Ryoma’s backstory and relationship with his parents more, as well as his siblings.
An interesting au with this character- you wouldn’t even begin to believe how many aus I have of ryoma,,, I am a fan of mafia/yakuza aus so like 👀👀
A crossover- OH HMMM,, tough one!! Perhaps Pokémon?? That’d be cute!!
OTP (or OT3+ etc.... just...favourite ship)- I will resist the urge to say my summoner lmao. Tbh I don’t rlly ship him, but I can appreciate some of his supports in fates!!
Other ships- none really!!
BROTP- HMMM,, look I rlly do think the likes of Ike, Chrom and Ryoma would get along. Also have y’all seen Shannan’s A support in forging bonds? Yeah they’re definitely bros.
NOTP- anything with his siblings,, yikes
An assortment of hcs!
-this is based on my experiences with my three Ryomas in the kitchen in aether resort lol- ryoma is a surprisingly really good cook!! he’s not bad at all in the kitchen and can cook up some really nice dishes.
-ryoma was a prankster and even more reckless as a kid! I imagine he really troubled the castle staff and sumeragi a fair bit- I also hc he had quite a problem with his temper, and while he did get over it, I think he still has those urges (including being a prankster, and obviously reckless) even now.
-SO KIN ASSIGNING POKÉMON AGAIN HUH??? LET’S GO-
Gallade
Raichu
Solgaleo
Luxray
Garchomp
Scizor
#THANK YOU ANON!!#i love talking about my favs it really does make my day#and i had a rlly bad one today so this was rlly nice!!#thank you!!#em rambles#character ask meme-y thing#ryoma fe

Review of the Third Doctor’s era so far
As I said in a previous post, consistently decent to good, but doesn’t appeal to me very much.
Maybe because I’m not that interested in the stories. I mean what I care mostly in Three’s era are the characters. Obviously the Brigadier which is one of the best things to ever happen to Doctor Who (and it’s going to be painful when I’ll rewatch Death in Heaven). And Courtney delivers one of the best acting performance of the show. Jo is up there as one of my favorite companions. And you cannot not get attached to Benton and Yates... And Liz is great too!
The Master never was particularly interesting to me. Like yes archenemy of the Doctor, dark mirror... The Doctor/The Master relationship is not something I'm particularly drawn to, and tbh I was pretty lukewarm to the “Missy redemption arc” (which was wonderfully written, and executed, but not an idea that initially appealed to me). But Delgado is just so great...
So Three’s era for me is well made television, with an excellent supporting cast. I like the UNIT-based format... I’m just not that into the stories or the main character.
Also Three’s era can get weird in the sense that there are two competing aesthetics, and the show finds himself torn apart between two directions. Like there is straight Pertwee (Season 7, The Mind of Evil, Colony in Space, Day of the Daleks, The Sea Devils) and camp Pertwee (The Claws of Axos, The Daemons, The Time Monster, The Three Doctors, Carnival of Monsters). You can guess which direction I prefer.
Spearhead from Space is a great introduction/reboot of the show. The Auton plot is a bit basic, and not that interesting, but some great images.
The Silurians is okay
The Ambassadors of Death is probably the only straight-Pertwee story I really like. It’s well written, well made (well it’s David Whitaker and Malcolm Hulke). Lots of tension, and a great concept basically. Plus that episode uses UNIT in the best way possible which is : the baddies are the military itself, so UNIT actually has to protect the aliens while neutralising British army general gone bad. That’s basically the plot of Invasion of the Dinosaurs which is also great.
Inferno is interesting because everyone’s acting in there is top notch. But really I think that story is overrated. The parallel universe is a great idea, and fun, but it quickly becomes catastrophe porn, and is not really resolved in a satisfying way. Also ideally you would have the Doctor realising that compared to their fascists counterparts, UNIT is basically not that bad, and what does he do instead ? Insult the Brigadier (seriously tho, Lethbridge-Stewart is a saint). Also the story really drags.
Terror of the Autons is Spearhead from Space only funnier (invading earth with plastic daffodils and ugly-ass toys is one of the Master’s best plans to date). Also bonus points for that iconic Time Lord appearance.
The Mind of Evil is brilliantly made and well put together, but not my thing.
The Claws of Axos is one of Season 8′s best stories, and no you can’t change my mind.
Colony in Space is a decent story
The Daemons is quite good, and a great fun. Also lots of Doctor/Brig content
Day of the Daleks has almost no daleks in it. It’s also one of the best Dalek stories. It starts as a ghost story, morphs into a Dalek story this time about collaborating with fascists regimes. It ends up being a story about time travel and the best one the show has made up to this point. (Yes it’s better than the Aztecs, again can’t change my mind). Also it scrap’s the expected Dalek/Doctor confrontation opting instead for a confrontation with the Controller. And again that’s a more interesting take. The Daleks = space nazis has already been done. Now the Dalek henchman's vs the Doctor, that's a better, meatier idea.
The Curse of Peladon is weird, it’s alien, it has Alpha Centauri in it, the Ice Warriors who have evolved from space vikings to diplomats, Jo almost becoming an alien princess, and having more sense then Peladon and the delegates together... and the Doctor singing Venusian lullabies. Also its a hilarious EU parable.
Sea Devils is pretty boring, only redeemed by that swordfight.
The Mutants is actually interesting because here you have a successful mashup of the two aesthetics. A slightly over the top villain (but not that much really. The Marshall is supposed to be mad), mutants that are actually not horrible mutants carrying a disease but aliens on the first step of evolution toward all-powerfull rainbow angels. Really that’s a coming out story. And at the same time a decolonization parable and an Apartheid story. And all in all a pretty good story
The Time Monster is brilliant and probably one the funniest Who stories.
The Three Doctors is also comedy gold. And Omega is great. He’s the extraTM villain the show needs.
Carnival of Monsters is a classic.
Frontier in Space is a bit iffy, But I have some very fond memories watching on Twitch with a friend and having a blast.
I still have to finish Season 10 and watch Season 11. So far Three’s best season is Season 9, with The Curse of Peladon, Day of the Daleks, The Mutants and The Time Monster being very good, if not quite outstanding stories. The outlier being the Sea Devils.
On the fic side, a really low amount of Three/The Brig, and suprising high amount of Liz/The Brig works ?? Like I never thought of them as an item. Sure they get on like a house on fire in Spearhead from Space, but other than that ?? As soon as the Doctor enters the picture, Liz tends to side with him in his contempt for UNIT/the military/the Brigadier/government officials. She draws the line at the human race. And tbh I can’t see Liz as anything else than a lesbian so...

theories: a summary
predictions for season 6 (based on the trailer):
I was going to do a long ass post with pictures but honestly, it’s just too much and i feel like we’ve all watched the trailer 09409790 times so...if you want me to send my evidence or elaborate, just let me know and i will make a separate post with screengrabs!
anyways, without further ado
the trailer only showed, roughly, things that happen within the first 4-5 episodes.
radiation is going to play a part, but it’s going to be one of many conflicts everyone faces on the new planet.
the other conflicts?
trying to find acceptance and a home on Sanctum, as they are considered a threat by the leader due to their history. (External Plot)
Eclipse Induced Psychosis - this is going to be where everyone is forced to face their demons in some form or another. they’re going to have to face their deepest, darkest impulsive, their worst mistakes, and come to terms with themselves as their own worst enemy (internal plot).
Forgiveness - can they forgive each other for everything that’s happened and start over?
there will be two different adventure squads: Bellamy, Clarke, Echo, Murphy, Shaw, Emori, Miller, and Jackson will go to the planet first to check it out.
When Adventure Squad I gets there, it is right before the eclipse, which is why the little village looks deserted when they get there (the other citizens know when to expect eclipses so they hide during them).
When the eclipse happens, everyone goes crazy! no one is safe, and this is the sequence we see in the trailer with everyone fighting and screaming and looking insane?
after the eclipse is over is when we meet Sanctumkru.
Sanctum appears to be a peaceful place:
the voiceover where clarke is saying “they’re happy here” may be her trying to tell the others that it is safe and they should bring their family down.
Bellarke will be separated early on:
Bellamy looks back at Clarke and appears to be walking away from Sanctum
I think he is going back to the ship to try and make contact with Raven/Spacekru to let them know its safe to come down.
The rest of Adventure Squad 1 goes with him (i’m iffy on this)
Clarke stays in Sanctum to try and gain trust with their leader.
Second Adventure Squad comes down, consisting of: Gaia, Madi, Octavia (she forced her way onto the ship), Abby, Raven, and Jordan.
Sara Thompson’s character (the girl with Eliza in Jroth’s pic on twitter) is not actually a love interest, but a decendant of Clarke’s who was part of Eligius III and will be shown in flashbacks.
Reapers 2.0: the guys in the full camo gear and chasing people through the woods are exiles from Sanctum for one reason or the other. they may be radiation immune, but are extremely volatile because they don’t trust Sanctum elites.
Adventure Squad(s) will somehow be put in the middle of the Reapers 2.0 / Sanctum Elite conflict.
At some point, Madi gets taken:
“My daughter is out there.”
Scenes of her in the lab appearing to be tortured.
There is also a scene of her chained and standing by Gaia (perhaps Gaia trying to keep her safe?)
this is tied to her nightblood / commander status probably.
b.echo will be broken up early on; it will be an amicable break up and the two will remain on good terms, though i think e.cho will be hurt by it.
this will be a direct result of bellamy’s willingness to forgive clarke for leaving him in the pits and his protectiveness over her
i’m probably being too optimistic tbh but i want them to have a mature break up.
evidence i’m using to support this: the lack of b/echo content in the trailer - there was a specific montage of couples being happy/cute in the trailer and they were noticeably absent.
Bellarke will go canon this season
there will definitely be an acknowledgement of feelings, out loud, by one or both Bellamy and Clarke.
one or both of them will recognize how the other feels about them.
if we are truly blessed, we will get a kiss or intimate gesture between them (bob’s episode? i would die if that happened tbh).
Jordan Green gets a love interest (!!!!!!!!)
Murphy and Clarke bond over being cockroaches and though he is initially going to be mad her like everyone else (ugh), he will be one of the firsts to come around.
diyoza is going to run things on the ship in space once adventure squads leave, hence why Raven wakes her up.
clarke is going to save everyone’s asses (again) and maybe, finally, get the thanks she deserves!!!
okay that last one was my own personal desire showing because clarke griffin deserves a break 2k19
#liz talks#the 100#the 100 spoilers#the 100 predictions#spec#sorry in advance for my disjoiinted thoughts#this is how i think

I have many strange headcanons out of left field for SP. One of them is that the Dullahan is the one that killed the Faceless One torso that is later used to create the Grotesquery, either with the God-Killer sword or not. I'm only iffy because Vile's armor was capable of resurrecting the dead Faceless One, which makes me think that maybe the GK sword was not used, but maybe only the Sceptre and Obsidian Blade are capable of annihilating energy and thus preventing any hope of resurrection.
I think that Faceless corpse either got killed by an Ancient or by another FO tbh. I don't think that the Dullahan was around during Ancient times so he couldn't have killed an FO timeline wise. I'm basing that on 'headless horseman' only appearing in cultures around the world since the middle ages.
Btw I've just noticed that SP is mentioned in the wiki article for the Dullahan.
I don't think the Godkillers snuff out the soul of whatever they kill, they are just very good at killing. The Obsidian Blade was special in such that it would erase the victim from existence completely, presumable including the soul.
This sounds like you've read UtE bc prior to this book there was no mention of the Sceptre sucking out the souls of it's victims to grow more powerful.
UtE Spoilers beneath the cut.
But it doesn't say if it just keeps the soul trapped as an forever power boost or if it uses them up like Milo's charger in 'Demon Road' does. Considering that when Main!Nef hitched a ride in Val, who apparently has absorbed the power of the sceptre, it didn't seem to harm or drain him, so I would go with the former. I guess the other souls went to the afterlife and only Nef got stuck bc the sceptre got destroyed the very moment he died.
Also, is it just me or does this whole Sceptre-Main!Nef ordeal sound exactly like what we talked about with Obsidian blade sucking out the souls of it's victims and the Unnamed having gotten released when it broke??

Tbh I have mixed feelings on the zelda encyclopedia explanation of Termina. I absolutely love the concept! I just wish it didn’t feel like a cop out.
Like, for those of you who don’t know, the concept boils down to that Termina is a parallel world that was created by Majora’s Mask... from Skull Kid’s bitter and twisted desires and memories. The people being creations of skull kid and the culture being the creation of the mask. I love that. I can make Persona jokes about it. The idea that by helping people out in Termina you’re also helping skull kid heal? A+! It even works as an in-universe reason for the characters having the same appearance as the characters in oot (as opposed to being similar in appearance but different like the people of Lorule)
I don’t like that the world vanishes once link defeats Majora and leaves. That’s what makes me iffy on it. Don’t get me wrong, it makes sense, why would it be able to last once the masks power is gone? It just makes everything feel a little pointless in the end. Yeah, no one in Hyrule (save zelda, skull kid, and the mask salesman) would remember either of the times link saved the world, but it still feels like it lessens the impact of helping people in the game, because in the end, they all cease to exist. And by having it something that’s “revealed” years later makes it feels like a cop out.
Despite my issues with it, I feel like it has a whole lot of cool story potential you can get out of it that aren’t touched upon within the book or game. Like...
Link discovers that the world will disappear if he completely destroys Majora. He has to make a tough decision as to whether to destroy Majora and end up bringing the world to an end despite trying to save it, or trying to find a way to weaken and contain the mask so that the world can live on, which would lead to it becoming a problem in the future and just causing a repeat of the events years down the road.
As an extension of that, Tatl questioning how many of her memories are real, or if she’s even real, since she has distinct memories as to meeting Skull Kid in Termina prior to him obtaining the mask.
The true identity of who the giants are in Hyrule (I like the theory of them being the four light spirits in twilight princess personally)
An AU where Link realizes that him remaining there is allowing the world to continue to exist and ends up spending the rest of his life in Termina so that the people there can still live out their lives
Alternatively, a story where Link spends the rest of his life attempting to recreate the world due to regrets
Skull Kid initially imagining all the people up, based on things he sees or hears secondhand in hyrule
#sorry for the dumb ramblings i just have a lot of thoughts about the encyclopedia#both postitive and sorta negative
