Smooth
@steddiemicrofic | August prompt: Plug | Word count: 437 | Rating: G | CW: None
Steve noticed the slightest scrunch of Eddie’s nose after they pulled away from their good morning kiss. Eddie went to the kitchen while Steve walked into the bathroom.
As he brushed his teeth and stared at himself in the mirror, he figured it probably wasn’t his morning breath that had made Eddie react that way. The three places on his face that could even grow hair were prickly. It looked like a caterpillar had made itself at home on his upper lip.
Steve plugged in the electric shaver and quickly buzzed the hair away until his skin was silky smooth for smooching.
Determined to get a kiss re-do, Steve walked up behind Eddie while he was at the sink. The coffee maker was already bubbling, brewing slowly, and the scent of coffee was starting to flood the room. Steve loved and absolutely had to have coffee to get going in the morning. He slipped his arms around Eddie’s middle and squeezed him.
Eddie had rubber gloves on and was doing the dishes from the previous night. Steve had made dinner, but they had gotten a little carried away with each other before they could tend to them.
Steve found it incredibly sexy whenever Eddie did the household chores, so of course, he had to show him he was grateful. “You’re the best, you know that?” he said, nuzzling Eddie’s neck while his hand caressed Eddie’s flat belly.
“You make me feel like it, Stevie,” Eddie replied, leaning back against Steve as he rinsed the dishes and placed them on the drying rack.
Once Eddie was finished, he removed the gloves, and Steve let go. He stepped back only to take Eddie’s hand a second later to stop him from going to the coffee. “I think we need a do-over.”
Eddie gave him a confused look. “A what?”
Steve lifted Eddie’s hand to his mouth and kissed it. He kissed up Eddie’s arm, smiling as Eddie made a noise.
“Stevie…”
Steve laughed but continued kissing his way up. “How did that feel?” he asked after he got to Eddie’s neck. He pulled back just so he could lean in face to face and nudge his nose against Eddie’s.
“Good… but I’m still confused.”
Steve closed the gap between them and kissed Eddie’s lips. “And how was that? Notice anything different?”
Eddie cupped Steve’s face and gave him a good look, gently caressing his cheeks—and then playfully smacked them in realization. “Oh yeah, that was a lot better. You’re as smooth as a baby seal again. No one is hotter than my otter.”
He grinned before kissing Steve deeply.

What Bladur's Gate class would the twins be?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think, with Kwahu's recent delving into the Staticlord psycast tree from 'Vanilla Psycasts Expanded', the Jones boys would make for excellent sorcerers of the Storm Sorcery subclass, though they'd have trouble with the charisma side of things, I suppose. Perhaps they'd make for better knowledge-domain clerics of Oghma, or monks.
I do think the sorcerer outfit looks best on them, though.

Genuine question. Why are people more than happy to interact with nsfw/smut fic (comments, kudos, reblogs, likes) but not as eager to interact with nsfw/smut art? Even the mildly nsfw art. Thoughts?

What is Preheat Syndrome and do I have it?
What is preheat syndrome (PHS)?
PHS is a recurring pattern of emotional, physical and behavioral changes in the days before your period that impact your daily life. These include but are not limited to headaches, exhaustion, bleeding, cramping, touch avoidance, back pain, joint or muscle aches, and sleeping or digestive issues.
PHS can also be experienced through euphoric symptoms including but not limited to increased body euphoria, higher motivation, quicker thinking, and hyperactivity.
What's the difference between PHS and regular preheat symptoms?
The most specific difference is that PHS symptoms impact your daily life. Many of us experience preheat exhaustion, but if your exhaustion means that you are unable to go to work then it would classify as a PHS symptom.
Many omegas find being touched in advance of their heat annoying, but if being touched - and we mean even casually here, a hand on your shoulder, holding hands, scenting chastely, etc - if this physically hurts you then you should see a doctor about this as it may be a symptom of PHS and in many cases can be treated with a topical cream.
It is normal to experience spotting before your heats, however if this spotting becomes heavy bleeding, lasts for more than two days, or causes pain, please see a medical professional.
Track your symptoms
Use a heat tracking app to track your preheat symptoms. Most good apps will have options for mild-moderate-severe levels of tracking for the most common symptoms and options to add your own if yours are not there. [See our linked post for our top ten heat tracking apps!]
Heat tracking apps will usually then give you an alert that your preheat is due and the better apps will include tips to mitigate your common symptoms.
This is good for you: you can see what symptoms you get with what regularity, and notice if it's a pattern or if it's a once off
This is good for your medical provider: they can see if your symptom patterns match with common PHS patterns, and if they do they can pass you on for further diagnoses. If they don't they can still recommend ways to allieviate symptoms that are causing you undue bother.
Not everybody experiences PHS.
While the media portrayal of preheat often includes dehabilitating symptoms of preheat - and indeed heat - it is not true that every one of us who experiences a heat will experience a preheat.
Some of us will have a preheat that we do not notice but our mates or packmates do notice, for example. Some of us will not have a preheat at all, merely drop immediately into heat.
Dealing with preheat symptoms does not necessarily equate to PHS. Preheat syndrome is a medical diagnosis that can severely affect a person’s life, while preheat symptoms can feel uncomfortable but mild.
It’s important to understand the difference and know your body. Tracking your symptoms will help you learn more about your own unique experience — rather than the generalized behaviors of all people who experience heats.

Four more OCs for the OC Box. I am pleased. That takes my total up to seven. Unless NPCs count... Do NPCs count? Or do they only count if they have a certain amount of dialogue or narrative importance?
Hang on, if NPCs count, then I'm fucked. I've got over four hundred of them...

starting a wind waker replay, I forgot a lot of the intro lore but there was a particular detail that piqued my interest. It's spawned the headcanon that the Great Evil was the Twilight Invasion. Because what differentiated the Adult and Child timelines from each other besides the fact that in one, OoT!Link existed while in the other, he stoped existing the moment Zelda rewound his time.
WW's into says that after OoT, generations passed before another great evil appeared. Meaning even if OoT!Link had stayed and lived (instead of dying young-ish), he wouldn't have been around to fight the evil the kingdom was drowned for. But who do we know who was around generations after OoT!Link and who had a very good reason to not appear in the Adult timeline? TP!Link. As OoT!Link's canon descendant, if ooT!Link got kicked out of the Adult timeline and therefore didn't exist there anymore, he couldn't have any kids that would eventually lead to TP!Link. Therefore, a Twilight crisis in the Adult timeline would lack its Hero. And like every Zelda game, if there isn't a Hero, the kingdom will fall. And fall it did. Or rather, drowned. Leading to more generations passing, leading to WW!Link.
(Of course, that prompts the question of why another Hero didn't rise to face that Evil the way WW!Link did since it's not like a blood connection between the Heroes is the rule (rather, it's the exception). Same question for why a Hero wasn't around in totk's past era with Rauru and Sonia. Who knows? Maybe there were heroes but they died before meeting destiny? Maybe in the case of a Hero not appearing in WW lore after the oot!Link it was because the Hero spirit was busy being TP!Link and couldn't be living in two times (places?? time-places???) at the same time??? Who knows.)

I feel like I’m living in that scene in Alice in Wonderland with the Mad Hatter’s tea party. I’m trying to keep all these rules straight, and I know intellectually they make sense, but it all seems so arbitrary. Like just when I think I’ve figured it out and can say “Oh, I finally understand what the rules are when it’s 12:30,” the March Hare (Barbri) says “No, that’s all wrong! You’re following the rules for when it’s 12:30 when you should be following the rules when it’s half past 12!” And it’s been like this for two months.
We may be all mad here, but I’m starting to get really fucking pissed off.

Severus Snape And Constance Hardbroom Are Twin Flames. But They Do Differ In Various Ways:
-Snape is an INTJ while Hardbroom is an ISTJ.
-In comparison to Hardbroom, Snape seems a lot less incline to follow rules/tradition. This could be emphasized with their hair; Constance's long, dark hair is condensed in an extremely tight, neat bun (possibly tighter than McGonagall's). Severus's greasy, long, black hair would out and almost wild, itself.
-Snape has more of a sweet-tooth (*cough* *cough* Holiday Blancmange *cough* *cough*) along with being a jazz man judging by "Cauldron Full Of Hot, Strong Love". With Hardbroom, she mostly finds herself too disciplined to succumb to sweets. As for music, she often leans more towards traditional chants. That being said, Snape, himself, may be into that music genre too as "In Noctem" is another of his favorites.
-While Snape does care for the well-being for his students (notice how he'd be the first to show up in the incidents in "Chamber Of Secrets"), we all know he would be better off doing something else other than teaching. With Hardbroom , it can be argued that she always wanted to teach and does care for the education and well-being of her students.
-It is true Hardbroom favors Ethel Hallow while Snape favors Draco Malfoy. Yet, Constance favored Ethel not (just) out of classism but mostly due to Ethel being a prestigious student. And, to Hardbroom's credit, she would punish Ethel when she finds the Hallow girl has done something wrong. Snape would let Draco and the Slytherins get away with murder.
-While stoice, Constance is often more prone to expressing herself a lot more than Severus does. When Hardbroom's angry, she mostly yells. When Snape's angry, it's more (what TVTropes calls) "Tranquil Fury". Still not sure which is worse...
-While Constance is often critical of Mildred Hubble, she doesn't hate her; she just wishes for Mildred to not be...Mildred. As for Snape, he HATES Harry Potter for the "sin" of being James Potter's kid. But, at the end of his life, Snape may have grown to...care...for the boy due to finally seeing that Harry's also being Lily's son.
-While we don't really know Constance's childhood (did Kate Duchene ever say anything about that in her interviews?), it's implied that her "road to villiany" was due to being tutores under Heketty Broomhead during college. With Severus, his "road to villiany" was due to an abusive dad, a negligent mother, a band of bullies, teachers who barely took action against either the bullying or domestic abuse, losing the one true friend he had due to his own mistakes, and taking part (and abandoning) a terrorist wizarding group.
-While Constance doesn't shy away from dark green as seen in her Halloween attires, she seems more incline with purple/lavender judging by her pajamas. As for Snape, you could say his second favorite color is the Slytherin green.
-To Alan Rickman's dismay, poor Snape basicallly wore the exact same wardrobe throughout the films. With Constance, the woman's a low-key fashionista! Wearing so many kinds of black dresses and pajamas!
-Speaking of meta, while (according to Georgina Sherrington) small children were afraid of Kate Duchene's Hardbroom, it was almost the opposite with Rickman's Snape as costars like Evanna Lynch would recall a happy Rickman-in costume-being around cheerful kids. Ironic as Snape's technicallly the more...deadliest...out of him and Hardbroom.
