I know that Dark Sun has reiterated that he's not one for excessive violence, and the way he killed Lord Eclipse was definitely a reflection of that, and that he didn't even get super dramatic before he killed him........ but I have had a constant image in my head of Dark Sun having pinned Lord Eclipse to the ground via spearing his chest with one of his own holy symbols. and the way the image is angled specifically makes Dark Sun look like the inherently divine one, to tie into how Dark Sun views himself as a higher/more worthy being than Lord Eclipse and how he was able to so easily fell a god. or whatever

#sonic au#goro akechi#persona 5#akira kurusu#shuake#akeshu#kinda haha#student council au#explanation time!!#normal is normal kechi! just a little guy#knight form is technicallyyyy his phantom ruby form but only with a small amount#given that akechi cannot use the chaos emeralds and needs the super emeralds… I think his wereform would be bigger than sonic’s#I kinda wish I leaned into the dark Gaia monster designs as well w this one actually….#phantom Ruby is his ‘super’ form pretty much. just a higher concentration of phantom ruby power#usually akechi does not let his psychic powers show and they are incredibly stunted by his inhibitor rings#but in hyper mode he can’t control anything so the blue rings show up very clearly on his gloves#robot form is based on both the shadow robots from multiplayer shth and Aigis#riders based on the dancing outfit#Mephiles form has elements of Loki because he’s kinda confused on which one Akechi actually is supposed to look like#classified is his proto form pre-miyu draining the black arms sample from his pre-build#((which I will probably expand on later….))#dark is another high concentration of phantom ruby power but … yk. dark#ahahah…. stuco akechi :)

midnight thoughts: like, I know there's a decent number of people in the LU fandom who haven't played the games or have only played botw/tears onwards. So, how familiar are people with zelda music? Like, would anyone be interested in like a fandom discussion post talking about music that stands out from each title?
#rays random ramblings#music is a huuuuge part of the games!#zelda music is what got me into playing music#I dunno I wonder#I want to complain about FSA's credit roll again LMAO#when was the last time there's been discussion about the Twilight Princess Hyrule Field night theme#and how you can hear Malon singing?#or about how albw's final boss battle has what's probably the most triumphant rendition of zelda's lullaby?#how in this fight and the botw dark beast fight - you already know by the music that you are going to win! it's so uplifting and hopefull!#the botw dark beast theme isn't the theme of the beast- it is the theme of the voices and memories of the people of Hyrule!#and how they are in this moment with Link! it's not a monster's theme. It's a culmination and a triumph! He's going to win!#Wind has his own fanfare. the game opens with The Legendary Hero (Time)#but when Wind gets the triforce he gets his own acknowledgement from the main loz theme#called Hero of the Winds! which is just cool! I'm such a sucker for snare haha#noble demon's arrangements are really good but I want to point out the aol palace music in particular#and how idk- how the flute has the main loz theme and is the lead at times and you can follow it- like that's Link there he is!#the arrangement is so fun because it goes between sneaky and bombastic.#Hyrule is being SO sneaky!#there are so many good and goofy minigame themes too.#Wolf. Link. Can't. Sing!#there must be creative ways to tie the music into characterization or themes/moods with writing and comics as well#so much of Skyward Sword's music is cinematic or reflective.#Ravio's music is so goofy clumsy. the albw minigame theme has similar vibes to tease Legend to#LIKE nearly all the zelda characters have their own themes and motifs! All the locations! Do people know this??!!!!#is there a place to talk about this???#the Demise fight has the same like rising notes thing as Ganon's theme! I'm not a music theory person so I don't have the right words#but the parallels are super cool.#also like to any artists / writers / animators there are websites with the sfx from the games ripped#like if you want Link's yells and voice lines as individual .wav files that's totally a thing you can just have#Legend sounds real silly it's pretty great

not to like wax poetic about the literary nuances of Black Fucking Butler but i feel i need to point out how insanely campy it is. oh okay cool the butler is throwing butter knives at people with guns and winning. we're battling undertaker's zombie army by starting a boy band (we actually got the idea from the ZOMBIES' boy band). theres a curry making competition and its so important it needs an entire volume and a continuing motif dedicated to it. the Grim Reaper Death Gods are all cornballs with gardening sheers. the contradiction. the unintended irony.
i think the manga is like. toeing the line of camp. like its silly yet takes itself so seriously but its not too silly. my immersion is not broken by the silliness. but the anime is uncharted levels of camp. what the Hell was going on with pluto. you're gonna look me in the eye and tell me the phantomhives own a fifty foot dog thing and no one has noticed. simply one hell of a deer. ice skating. theres opium in funtom candy. the queen of england is maybe a little girl. speaking of which, the city of london just burned down. yeah the whole thing. the fifty foot dog was there too.
it's so ridiculously out of left field and the fact that none of the characters seem to notice or care feels like being gaslit. camp so visceral it's causing psychic damage. i am constantly begging the narrative to break character just once and acknowledge its silliness but doing so would negate the lack of awareness that makes it camp. its dated and timeless. an absolute milestone in camp history.
