I like to think that Gerry and Agnes ended up in Night Vale after they died. After a while, Michael/The Distortion landed, a little more Michael Shelley than before but still very much an eldritch corridor in the vague shape of a person. It raises flowers now, strange flowers that don’t quite obey the rules of reality (not that reality as we know it applies much to Night Vale), and runs the maze attraction at all the events. Occasionally, it hangs out with The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home. Gerry and Agnes, meanwhile, are radio interns. Remarkably, given the fatality rate, they are quite happy with their jobs. Agnes has gotten a nice partner who’s already on fire so she doesn’t have to worry about immolating them, and Night Vale is so used to things randomly catching fire that they don’t care that things burn when she’s around. Gerry likes to hang out with Josie and the Angels. They finally have the lives they could only dream of previously and they cherish every moment of it.
