I Think I'm In Love
Our Story Masterlist Summary: Fans meet YN at LOT Wembley N4.
Based on this request. Also a big thank you to @onlyangle1 for helping me.
Molly and Ava, two best friends who shared their love and obsession for Harry Styles. The pair had waited for what felt like years for this day. The day they finally got to use their Harry Styles Love On Tour tickets.
They had tickets for the front area of the standing pitch. Despite not being at the barricade and having an up close view of the man himself, they were content in being at the concert and having a large space around them, to be able to dance and jump around in later on.
The two girls had just sat down on the ground, as Wet Leg had left the stage. “What do you think he’ll wear?”.
Ava thought as she played with the boa around her neck. “If we see hitties, I’m gonna faint.”.
“Oh please, that would literally make my night if he does!”. Molly got herself excited at the thought.
The two friends, took some photos together, wanting to remember this night and of course to post on their social media’s to let everyone they knew that they had seen Harry Styles.
The sound of the stadium singing Angels by Robbie Williams filled their ears, but what caught their eyes was YN, stood to the side of them, recording as she sadly smiled.
“Fuck, is that YN?” Ava nudged her friend.
“It is, I think I’m going to have a panic attack!” Molly spoke as she repeated to herself how much she needed to remain calm.
“She looks sad.” Ava observed. “Do you think we should ask her if she’s alright?”.
Molly managed to calm her nerves and get the attention of YN, who smiled at the sound of the girls calling her name.
“Hi!” YN gave the girls a genuine smile as she walked over to where they were now stood.
Ava took the lead, not trusting Molly to hold it together. “We’re sorry to bother you, we just wanted to check you were alright?”.
“You looked a little sad.” Molly added.
YN placed her phone in her pocket. “Yeah I’m alright.” YN hesitated. “That song reminds me of me Mum and sister.”.
“Awww.” Molly felt herself get emotional. “C’mere, have a hug.”. She wrapped her arms around YN, who gladly took it.
“Thank you!” YN rubbed a stray tear away from her cheek.
Ava couldn’t help but notice the band that now laid on YN’s finger. Wanting to change the subject as she could see YN wiping away her tear. “Congratulations on your engagement!”.
“Oh my…yeah…congratulations…I literally fucking screamed when I saw your post last night!” Molly spoke, excitement evident in her voice.
YN laughed at the girls outburst. “Aww thank you!” Blush creeping up onto her check. “It still hasn’t sunk in.”.
"It's such a beautiful ring." Ava complimented, the gold band that sat upon YN's finger.
"The boy did good!' Ava nudged Molly for her comment, but YN let out a loud chuckle, finding the comment funny.
YN nodded in agreement. "He did...I'm very lucky.".
The sound of Bohemian Rhapsody beginning, got the crowd excited knowing that Harry would be on stage soon. Ava and Molly joined in with the singing stadium.
Mama, life had just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooh, didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
The two friends, expected YN to have disappeared now that Harry was due to come on stage any moment. But they were pleasantly surprised to see YN still stood to the side of them but this time with Brad by her side.
As the intro video played, Ava and Molly were on edge waiting for the first glance of Harry. As Daydreaming began, and Harry appeared wearing his signature overalls but for the last night at Wembley decided to be shirtless, showing off his butterfly tattoo. Ava and Molly held onto each other as they jumped up and down at the sight of Harry and his lack of t-shirt.
But what set the two girls and the other fans around them into laughter was when YN could be heard shouting. "THE HITTIES ARE OUT! WOOOOO!".
Livin' in a daydream She said, "Love me like you paid me" You know I'll be gone for so long So give me all of your love, give me something to dream about
Ooh-ooh
Stay until the morning 'Cause, baby, loving you's the real thing It just feels right When you give me all of your love, give me something to dream about So give me all of your love, give me something to dream about
Ava and Molly were jumping around, just like the other fans in the stadium. Dancing, singing and having a blast..completely in awe of the man on the stage. YN and Brad were still near by also enjoying themselves, singing and dancing along.
The sound of Golden began and Harry was instructed the fans to get low. "Are you ready to have some fun with us tonight, Wembley?".
Molly turned to Ava, completely forgetting who was standing behind them. "I think I'm in love!". The girl shouted, as she was still in denial that they were watching Harry Styles perform.
Bringing the girls back into reality was YN's accent from behind them. "He has that affect on you!". Most girlfriends, in YN's case fiancée, wouldn't have liked that comment being said. But YN understood, she really did because Harry did have that affect on others. He was infectious!
As Adore You came to an end, Harry made his way down the platform to wave to the fans who stood towards the back of the stadium. Ava, Molly and the fans near by were quick to cheer and wave to the man himself.
After Harry's little speech thanking the opening acts and explaining how he had burnt his tongue on some soup, he sang Keep Driving. It was no secret that fans loved singing along to a particular part so Molly and Ava were preparing themselves to belt out the famous line.
Passports in footwells Kiss her and don't tells Wine glass, puff pass, tea with cyborgs Riot America, science and edibles Life hacks going viral in the bathroom
But making Brad, the girls and fans around them explode with laughter was YN's version as she sang behind them. "Cocaine, side boob, choke ME with a sea view!".
Toothache, bad move Just act normal Moka pot Monday, it's all good Hey, you Should we just keep driving?
One Direction fans loved Stockholm Syndrome so it was no surprise the stadium went crazy as they showed their love for the song written and performed by their favourite band. YN also joining in with the fans around her.
The sound of Sweet Creature beginning to play, caused the stadium to become a calm atmosphere, almost like everyone was enjoying the moment as Harry hadn’t sung it live for a few years. YN could see the two friends, holding onto each other whilst listening to Harry sing, wanting to capture the moment she snapped a quick photo from behind the two girls and took a short video as they had their arms wrapped around eachothers shoulders. Hoping she could try and send it to them later.
Still standing at the front of the stage, Harry peered out at the crowd looking from one side to the other. “Uh speaking of Sweet Creature…I wanna say before we go any further a massive massive thank you to you and the people of London for all the support you have given me over the last thirteen or so years of my life. This... city has blessed me with a home, and certainly the most important people in my life who have supported me over the years and I would not be here without them, thank you so much, and to all who have made it tonight. The first time I ever came to London was thirteen years ago, it was just across the street, for the boot-camp stages of X-Factor I’d never been here before, it was quite scary coming to London; but making that journey meant I got to meet my special person…the better half of me and Wembley will always be our special place for us so I’d like to play a song for her tonight, this is for you YN…this is Love Of My Life”.
During Satellite a large group of fans created a circle and YN couldn’t help but join in. They waited for Harry to sing “Spinning out, waiting for ya to pull me in” before they all ran into the circle and then dance around in crowd.
YN loved the TPWK dance that the fans had created and she spent hours learning the steps when it first went viral. So when Harry began to sing the lyrics, she couldn’t help but fill with excitement of joining the fans around her. “Maybe we can…find a place to feel good…and we can treat people with kindness…find a place to feel good”.
Whenever Harry surprised the fans by singing Medicine, her heart filled with joy over the fans screaming with happiness as the music to the saucy song began. She would admit though that Harry singing the unrealised song and moving his hips in certain ways made her feel a certain way too, one that would have to wait for the end of the show and they were alone in their hotel room. “You got that something, I got me an appetite, now I can taste it…we're getting dizzy, oh, we're getting dizzy, ohla-la-da-da, da”.
Knowing the set list by heart now, YN knew it was her queue to leave when Harry finished singing As It Was. Wanting to thank the two girls for being so kind and friendly, she quickly gave them a cuddle and promised to follow them back on instagram later on.
Molly and Ava watched as YN left the pit and quickly made her way backstage to meet the main man himself. “I can’t believe that just happened”.
Ava felt like she was in a dream and she was going to be woken up to reality any minute. “Pinch me…but did we just spend the entire concert with YN Tomlinson?!”.
“She worked her way through a cheap pack of cigarettes”.

Dancing On My Own (Tiesto Remix)- pt 2
After some pushback from the first, I knew I had to write a second part, and quick. this should placate most of you.
Summary: the aftermath.
Part 1.
WC: 2.25k
tags: @lakita-fisher @weeeeeeeeee3 @lilsmeaux @@morgana-larkin
You somehow make it home unscathed- you could barely see as you drove through your tears, your breakup playlist on full blast. You guess you’re officially done. With Melissa already having a new woman, you wonder just how much you ever even meant to her.
As soon as you’re pulling into your spot, the waterworks hit in full- as if they weren’t already. You rip off the jersey and hat that you wore out, not caring where they land as you throw them into your front room. You had bought a bottle of wine to share with the redhead that you fell madly in love with to celebrate getting back together, and hopefully a big win, but now that seems wrong to drink on your own. You reach for the vodka instead.
You don’t show to school the next day, calling out claiming that you’re sick. And you are. Your heart hurts more than you ever thought possible, and your hangover is killer. You spend the morning laying in bed, eyes rimmed red. The redness won’t be going away any time soon.
Melissa saunters into the school, happy that she hasn’t seen your car in the parking lot, and doing a little dance because her team won. She’s also quite happy that she was able to rebound with last night- even if she didn’t particularly enjoy the woman that she spent her time with. She much rather would’ve spent time with you, but… you were… are a Cowboys fan.
“Someone’s happy,” Barbara chuckles. She thinks she knows why. “Did you have a good night at the game?”
“I did!” Melissa grins. “I took this girl I met at the bar, and-”
The kindergarten teacher’s face drops. “What?”
“I wasn’t going to let the ticket I had for Y/N go to waste,” the redhead shrugs. “So I asked Lena if she wanted to go with me to heckle the Cowgirls fans.”
“Oh no,” Barbara whispers. “Oh, no. no. no.”
“What? I figured after Y/N and I, I should get myself back out there.”
“No,” Barbara states again with fire. “Oh good god.”
“What?! What, Barb?”
“I- I have to go make a call,” the kindergarten teacher grabs her coffee mug and heads out quickly. She closes her classroom door as she dials your number.
Your phone starts ringing far too loudly, and you groan. You glance at it and see Barbara’s contact picture light up.
“Hello?” you groan into the phone, just barely sitting up. Your voice is rough, both from the tears and the fact that you haven’t spoken since last night.
“Sweetheart,” your coworker whispers to you. “Where are you? Are you okay?”
“Home,” you grumble. “Sick.”
The kindergarten teacher frowns. “Sick? Lovesick?”
“Heartbroken,” you whisper, voice cracking slightly. “She was there with someone else. You knew, didn’t you?”
“Y/N, dear,” Barb sighs quietly. “If I had known that she was talking to someone else, I never would’ve told you to go for it. In fact, when she came in dancing today I thought it was because the two of you got back together.”
“Nope,” you pop the ‘p’. “She had her tongue down someone else’s throat.”
“Honey, I am so sorry,” the woman tells you softly.
“I’m not mad at you,” you tell her genuinely. “You didn’t do anything wrong but try to help me.”
“Can I do anything else for you?” Barbara asks.
You sigh. “Just… when I come back to work tomorrow, pretend I was sick? I don’t feel like having Janine jump down my throat.”
“I can do that,” the kindergarten teacher says softly. “And please know that even though the two of you aren’t involved anymore, we are all still on your side. You’re still a part of our-”
“It’s okay,” you sigh sadly. “I know that you’re all Melissa’s friends, and I don’t want to put any of you in an awkward position having to pick sides. She’s been here longer; it’s all hers.”
“Sweetheart,” Barbara breathes.
“It’s okay. I’ll be okay, Barb. Thank you for trying to help me,” you mumble before hanging up.
By the time you hang up with her, the students will begin trickling in, so Barbara doesn’t have time to go speak with Melissa about the situation at hand.
But at lunch, Barbara simply grabs her lunch and picks up the redhead’s that is already out on the table.
“Barb,” Melissa gasps.
“My room. Now,” is all the kindergarten teacher has to say to get her friend to follow her out of the staff room and down the hall, head hung like a child being escorted to the principal’s office.
When they get there, Barbara sets down their lunches at her desk and pulls a chair up for Melissa.
“Barb, c’mon,” your… ex-girlfriend groans. “What gives?”
“What the hell were you doing out with another woman?”
The second grade teacher immediately gets defensive. “Y/N and I-”
“Y/N went to the game last night… dressed in Eagles gear and ready to cheer for your team because she loves you,” the older teacher says sternly. “And you threw it in her face that you were done with her and already moved on.”
“She- what?”
“She spent close to a thousand dollars on sports gear last week to try to win you back. She wore Phillies gear, she wore Flyers apparel, she wore a Sixers sweatshirt, she even wore a jersey from the Union, and on Friday, she wore Kelly green to show you that she’s in Philly now.”
“Didn’t show up in a Hurts or Kelce jersey though,” Melissa rolls her eyes.
“Because she was saving that for last night when she was going to win you back with the ticket that she managed to get next to you!”
Melissa’s face drops. “She- fuck.”
“She’s not sick. She’s heartbroken right now.”
The redhead bites her lip. “I fucked up takin’ Lena, didn’t I?”
Barbara nods. “She was crying when I called, and she told me she was heartbroken to see you with some other girl’s tongue down your throat.”
“Fuck.”
“Yeah,” the kindergarten teacher nods. “That word.”
Melissa breathes out heavily. “Do you…” she shakes her head. “She’s still a Cowboys fan.”
“Melissa Ann, you love her. She loves you. She’s perfect aside from that one fact, and when she tried explaining herself to you at school, you wouldn’t let her get a word out. Hear her out, and even then… if she does love the Cowboys, are you really going to let something as trivial as a sports team rivalry come between you and the one person that you love?”
“I…” the redhead bites her lip. “Do you think I have a chance at winning her back?”
At that, the kindergarten teacher shrugs. “You’ll never know if you don’t try… although, I would end things with this new woman you were making out with last night.”
The end of the day could not come sooner for the second grade teacher. She’s debated texting you or calling you, but she feels this is something that she has to do in person.
So as soon as she’s finished for the day, she runs out. She leaves her lunch bag in the staff room, doesn’t wait for her work wife; she just books it. She’s tearing out of the school parking lot in the direction of your apartment complex.
The entire drive over, she’s preparing what she’s going to say to you, but once she’s standing on the door mat that you have sitting outside your front door, it all leaves her brain. She knocks a few times before stepping back.
Who the hell is at your door? Could it be Barbara checking on you? Or maybe she said something to Janine or Jacob, and they’re here to make sure that you’re okay? With a groan, you sit up and stand from the couch. You’ve been sitting there for so long wallowing in your self pity that you leave an indent in the cushions. You check the peephole, and… why is Melissa standing at your door?
You open the door, not caring how you look right now.
The sight of you hurts her heart. Your hair is messily tied up, you haven’t changed out of your pajamas, your eyes are still rimmed red… you just look so heartbroken right now.
“What? Come to yell at me some more?” you try sound angry, but it just comes out pathetic.
“No,” she says softly. “Hun, I’m-”
“Here to break up with me?” you sigh. “You made it pretty clear we were done.”
“Can I come in?” she asks quietly. The woman sounds so unlike herself.
You shrug and leave the door open as you walk away. She follows you in. “I’m here to say I’m sorry.”
“It’s whatever,” you sigh as you curl back into your mountain of blankets. “I’ll be fine. I’ll be civil the rest of the school year, I’ll leave you and your friends alone, and then I’ll find another school in the area to work at.”
“You don’t have to do that.”
“Well, it’s a little hard to work with your ex-girlfriend,” you sigh. “Now, if you wouldn’t mind seeing yourself out.”
“Y/N,” Melissa says so softly, and she has her eyes trained on you. They’re filled with sadness. “I don’t want to break up.”
“I thought we already did,” you spit out. “And if we didn’t, I know you had your tongue down another woman’s throat last night anyway, so if you don’t break up with me, I’ll do it for you. Then you can make me the bad guy when you-”
“Barb told me what you were trying to do,” the redhead admits softly.
“If you would’ve just listened to me, you would know that I didn’t necessarily have a choice in who I rooted for when it came to football. My father, who is my idol and best friend so don’t you dare say a single bad thing about him, loves the Cowboys. He insisted on buying me the Prescott jersey despite the fact that I didn’t want him spending that money on me to begin with.”
“I should’ve known with you growing up near Dallas,” she sighs.
“But I’m here now,” you continue. “And once I talked to him and he told me that if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. So I did. I bought all of this Philly stuff, bought a ticket to the game and showed up in a hat and Hurts jersey, only to see you with someone else. So… it’ doesn’t matter.”
“Hun, I never wanted her.”
“Well, you got her.”
“The whole time, I was wishing it was you.”
You rub your temples.
“Barb told me she helped you,” the second grade teacher admits. “If I had known… I would’ve been-”
“Any time they brought me up, you shut them down,” you fire out. “You wouldn’t let me speak to you at all.”
“You avoided me too!”
“I was trying to give you space, and when I did try to talk to you, you shut me down and told me you weren’t going to date a Cowgirl.”
“How can I fix this?” Melissa asks as she comes to sit down next to you. “I’ll do- I’ll do anything.”
“I thought you weren’t going to date a Cowgirl,” you taunt her. “And you have your new girl now.”
“She isn’t my girl,” the redhead tells you sternly. “You’re my girl. She’s some random girl I picked up at a bar while I was trying to distract myself from missing you. The whole time I was with her, I wished it was you- I didn’t even sleep with her. She was throwing herself at me, but I couldn’t.”
“So what are you saying?”
“And then today when you didn’t show up to school, Barbara told me what you did and how she helped you… she talked some sense into me; asked me if I was really going to let a stupid sports rivalry get in the way of loving the one person I truly adore. The answer is no. I was… an idiot. An absolute idiot.”
“Yeah,” you snort. “You were.”
“So… I’m here, begging you to take me back. Please, Y/N,” Melissa tears up. “Please. Please don’t walk away.”
“Melissa, you hurt me more than you know,” you whisper.
“And I will spend the rest of my days making it up to you,” she promises you. “Please.”
You take a deep breath for huffing it out. Secretly, you were hoping she would come back to you. And the opportunity is right here in front of you. “It’s… it’s going to take a bit for me to fully forgive you.”
“And I understand that entirely. I was a real jackass. I’ll make it up to you however I can.” She pulls you into her arms and kisses your temple gently. “However I can.”
That ‘however’ is by having her take you to another Eagles game- with the entire Abbott crew. You wear your Hurts jersey, hanging off of her the entire night, and you cheer for your new team.
The other ‘however’ is by getting her to take you to a Phillies RedOctober game at Lincoln Financial field. When they play their celebratory song after clinching a spot in the World Series as NLC champions, you know that you’re no longer dancing on your own (tiesto remix). You have Melissa by your side.

🎃🍭🧁Universal Studios Japan: Halloween Horror Nights! (Not Sponsored!)🍰🍬☠️
[Synopsis]: Kenji and [Y/N] came to celebrate Halloween by visiting USJ for their annual Halloween Horror Nights.
[TW]: Nothing, really.
Venom![Y/N]: Kenji, thanks for planning this date. I always wanted to visit USJ, especially during Halloween.
Kenji: *Adorning with a baseball cap* You always hinted you wanted to come here, so I booked us tickets for tonight.
Venom![Y/N]: Which I’m grateful for. It’s still pretty early since the shows don’t start until around 7.
Venom: “We should try the snacks and maybe taste some “zombies” later on.”
Venom![Y/N]: V, those are scare actors. Not the actual undead.
Kenji: Venom being a pain in the ass, again?
Venom![Y/N]: Don’t worry about it. We should definitely try out some rides and maybe meet Hami-Kuma.
🎃🍭🧁🐻🍰🍬☠️🎃🍭🧁🐻🍰🍬☠️🎃🍭🧁🐻🍰🍬☠️🎃🍭🧁🐻🍰🍬☠️🎃🍭🧁🐻🍰🍬☠️
[7:15 p.m.]
[Y/N]: Just in time, the shows are starting.
Kenji: Your friend hasn’t bother us for a while.
[Y/N]: Oh, I let him out.
Kenji: What?
[Y/N]: No worries, he’s probably hosting someone who nobody would suspect. I even told him we’ll meet up at Mel’s Drive-In at 9.
Kenji: You’re really causal about that.
[Y/N]: It’s not the first time he’s out of my body. Remember how he snuck in your system for quick healing?
Kenji: *Shivers from the reminder* Don’t need to be reminded.
[Y/N]: He’ll come around. Let’s have some fun!

[One Hour Later]
[Y/N]: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!
[Another Kaiju attack at USJ]
Kenji: Go somewhere safe.
[Y/N]: I’m not going anywhere.
Kenji: You don’t have V with you.
[Y/N]: I can still help. I’ll take everyone to safety.
[The Symbiote host helps the guests and employees to exit out of the park. Meanwhile Kenji transforms into Ultraman and now occupied handling the Kaiju.]
Ultraman: “Could use some reinforcements.” *Holds back the monster*
[A little kid fell over and [Y/N] hurries over to pick them up in their arms.]
[Y/N]: It’s okay, I got you. Where’s your mom and dad?
[A married couple waves at them and [Y/N] sprints towards the two, hurrying their pace. A dark shadow hovers cast over [Y/N] and the kid, feeling panic while trying to speed through. Just a split second, Ultraman pulls the Kaiju away on time as [Y/N] returns the couple’s kid safely. The parents thanked them graciously for saving their child before disaster struck. They left quickly before more damage could be done.]
Venom: *Crawls up behind [Y/N] and merges back in their body* “What did I miss?”
[Y/N]: A lot, V. Ultraman still needs help. Mask!
Venom: “Copy!”
[Venom took control of their body and enters into action to aid Ultraman.]

[After The Fight]
Kenji: [Y/N], are you alright?
Venom![Y/N]: I’m okay. And V’s with me now.
Kenji: That’s good…Don’t risk your life like that, again. I almost lost you.
Venom![Y/N]: I’m still here, alive. Talking and still breathing. Sorry for scaring you, Kenji.
[Kenji hugs [Y/N] gently and released them from his embrace.]
Kenji: It’s alright. I’m sorry this date is a mess.
Venom![Y/N]: No, Kenji. It just happened so sudden. I had fun before the attack.
[Then announcements came throughout the park.]
“Attention, park-goers. Due to the recent Kaiju incident, shows for Halloween Horror Nights have to be canceled for the night. However, we are still open to be hosting a big celebration for Halloween! Showtime!”
[Ado - Show]
youtube
Venom![Y/N]: Kenji, our date isn’t a complete bust.
Kenji: Then let’s celebrate our victory together.
Venom![Y/N]: Shall we dance? *Holds their hand out*
Kenji: Yeah, we’ll dance. *Takes their hand in his*
[The two celebrated Halloween together and enjoyed each other’s company in the remaining night.]

My TIT Berlin experience!
Here's all the things that happened during the show that stood out to me as probably things that don't always happen/ were specific to our show:
They came out wearing shorts because it was a super hot day in Berlin, Dan said they had performed in the same venue for ii as well and distinctly remembers rivulets of sweat cascading down his arms
They made the dolls 69 :(
During the Phil Doctor bit, people shouted "scheiße" for the first one, and the typer write it as "scheisse." Dan asked "do we not have the B thing?!" and the person then proceeded to write "scheisseBBBB" on the screen. We had the same answer for the NEXT two questions and they were written: "scheiBBBBe" and then simply "BBBBB"
Phil seemed to forget a line and laughed after Dan looked at him pointedly at the beginning of the game show bit
Dan had to repeat the fact that they put Vegas pages in Tabinof twice in order for them to actually put it on the screen
Someone shouted cat whiskers when Dan asked what their legacy would be
The wrestling went as expected (notable instances include but are not limited to: Phil shoving the pompoms of a hat while standing over Dan. Dan trying to hit Phil with a metal chair. Phil slamming Dan's head into said metal chair. Dan biting Phil. Dan holding Phil hostage, prompting Phil to ram his ass into his crotch. Three times.)
Dan was very very sweaty after the wrestling (lol)
After Dan's little monologue once the wrestling was over, Phil came out and there was a super awkward pause where I think someone forgot their lines (I remember there being a pause and Phi saying "......what are you talking to them about?"
The confessions bit:
Someone pegged a cop that was their ex's friend
Two ppl got engaged
Person's friend cancelled on them so they sold their ticket to buy merch (this was also stated on a card in the phlit during the pre show)
During the dance bit Phil was very obviously looking at Dan. Dan was very into it but Phil is so me in that he looked quite honestly lost lmao
After the show we stood by the stage door and Dan and Phil came out in a big black van with tinted windows. It was very difficult to see inside lol. Then about 15 minutes later one of the members of their staff (british ginger guy with a beard) came out and said "they" (dnp ig) texted him and wanted to make sure people weren't waiting at the door anymore since they were gone, so he just wanted to let us know they'd already left in case we didn't know.

Sevika and reader’s daughter is getting ready to go prom and sevika gives her date a hard time
I absolutely love your work 💓💓💓💓💓
this is so fucking cute. UGH
men and minors dni
sevika cries the night before little fucker's prom. not in front of her, just in your arms that night, silently soaking your pajama shirt as she cries about your daughter growing up.
"she was a baby just yesterday!" she whines. you giggle and press a kiss to her head.
"she's growing up, honey." you say, tearing up too. sevika sniffles.
"oh god, what if she has sex tomorrow night?" she asks. you laugh.
"oh please, like you weren't juggling three girls by the time you were eighteen." you tease her. sevika groans.
"i know, i'm worried she's got my slutty tendencies!" you burst into laughter.
"she'll be fine. at least she can't get pregnant with her little girlfriend." you tease. sevika groans again.
"god, i don't trust that girl one bit." she mumbles. you laugh.
"sev, she's a sweet kid. she obviously adores our girl, you saw her promposal."
your daughter's date to the prom is a sweet, quiet girl, who 'promposed' to her with a big bouquet of her favorite flowers, a bag of her favorite fast food, and tickets to a movie she's been dying to see. she's got your stamp of approval. sevika's is gonna be a bit harder to earn.
sevika gasps in your arms suddenly.
"what?" you ask, panicked.
"fuck, babe, in five years we could be grandmas." she groans. you laugh.
"oh please, you'd love having another baby around."
"not yet!" she cries. "we're too young! she's too young!"
"she might not even want kids, sev."
sevika's silent for a minute, considering this. then, "she fucking better. if she doesn't have one soon, i'm getting you pregnant again. i want another baby." she says. you burst into laughter.
"i don't think that'll work babe, but you can try all you want." you offer, opening your legs around your wife. she grins, her tears gone, and she shoots up to kiss you.
"deal."
the next day, sevika cries on and off from the moment she wakes up.
as you help little fucker do her makeup, sevika stands in the corner sobbing.
as she helps little fucker curl her hair, sevika's tears keep falling onto her head.
when she slips into her suit-- sevika breaks down.
"oh fuck!" she cries, wrapping her arms around your daughter. she groans.
"ma, get her off of me! she's gonna ruin my suit!" your girl wails as she tries to wiggle out of sevika's grip. sevika doesn't let go, not until you pull her away by her ear.
"just wait until your wedding day, kid." you tease your girl. she rolls her eyes, and sevika whimpers.
"why would you say that?" sevika wails, a fresh round of tears bubbling up in her eyes. you laugh and kiss her tears away, and beside you, your little girl gags.
when her date arrives, all of sevika's tears disappear, a glare taking over her features.
the girl pulls up in a car and walks to the door with a bouquet of flowers in her shaky hands.
your daughter is vibrating with excitement as she answers the door and lets her girlfriend in, and it makes you a little emotional. they're so fucking cute.
her girlfriend tries her best. sevika doesn't make it easy.
"i'm so excited to finally meet you mrs. and m--"
"save it." sevika grunts. you elbow her and sevika elbows you back.
your daughter facepalms. "mom--"
"what're your intentions with my daughter tonight?" sevika asks. you bite your lip to keep from laughing at the cringes on your daughter and her girl's face.
"i-- uh-- d-dancing?" she asks. "w-we've got reservations at an italian place after, and there's an afterparty at--"
"afterparty!?" sevika exclaims. you snort and elbow her again.
"i already told you mom!" your daughter whines. "at robby's house-- you know, nerdy robby? robotics club captain?"
sevika's glare lessens, but doesn't dissappear. "nerds can get into just as much trouble as any--"
"sev." you cut her off, shooting her a glance. quit embarrassing our poor kid. you telepathically tell her. she glares at you.
it's my job to embarrass her, it gives her character. sevika's glare responds. you roll your eyes.
"can i get a few pictures of you kids before you go? you look so cute in your matching suit and dress." you say, distracting the teenagers from your wife's glare. your daughter's new beau nods so hard you think her head might fall off her neck. you laugh and guide them outside to pose in front of the flowers in the front garden.
as you snap pictures, sevika hovers over your shoulder the entire time.
your daughter grabs her girlfriends hand, and you can physically feel the way sevika cringes. when her girlfriend rests her hands around your daughter's waist, sevika has to look away. and when they kiss, sevika groans.
"okay! fuck, save it until you're married." she says. you snort.
"when did you become such a prude?" your daughter asks, glaring at sevika. sevika glares back.
"i've always been a prude. i've never had sex in my life. and you shouldn't either." she says. you laugh.
"i heard you and ma going at it this morning in the shower!" your daughter exclaims. you watch in amusement as her date blushes red as a tomato.
"okay!" you interrupt before the poor girl has a heart attack. "you two should get going." you say, walking your daughter and her date toward her car on the street.
her date sprints to the driver's side, slamming the door behind her, sufficiently terrified of sevika, and trying to get away as fast as possible. it makes you laugh.
you and sevika wrap your little fucker up in a big, tight hug before she can slip in the passenger's seat, pressing kiss after kiss to her hair. she giggles between the two of you.
"you guys are horrible." she complains. you laugh.
"hey, that's all mom. i've been a perfectly normal parent all evening--" you try to defend yourself. you're met with twin glares from your wife and daughter.
"you wanted me to!" sevika accuses.
"you barely stopped her!" your daughter shouts.
you laugh. "both of those statements are false!"
your kid groans, and sevika kisses her forehead again.
"call us if you need a ride. i don't care what time it is or where you are-- we'll come get you. and your little girlfriend too." she says.
"i know, mom." little fucker groans.
"and don't drink anything you didn't make yourself!" you say. she rolls her eyes.
"there's not even gonna be alc--"
"here." sevika interrupts her, shoving a dental dam, mini bottle of lube, and a condom into her suit's breast pocket. your daughter scoffs.
"oh, so you're suddenly all 'sex positive' again." she says. sevika shrugs.
"i don't want you having any sex until i'm dead and buried, but if you're gonna do it while i'm still alive, make sure it's safe." she says. your kid groans.
"i know, i know." she grumbles.
"take this." you say, handing her a folded wad of cash. "pay for her dinner tonight-- as an apology for our behavior."
your kid grins. "thanks, ma."
you hug her again, pressing kiss after kiss to her head. you're so distracted by loving on your daughter, that neither of you notice when sevika disentangles herself from your group hug to walk around the car and tap on the driver's side window.
"y-yes miss?" your daughter's date asks wearily as she rolls the window down. sevika glares down at her.
"you take care of her." she says. your daughter looks up from where she'd buried her face against your shoulder to watch their interaction in horror.
"yes ma'am."
"drive the limit. if you drink, or smoke, or do anything-- don't you dare get behind the wheel, you hear me?" she asks. the poor girl nods again.
"y--"
"take this." sevika says, handing the girl another dental dam, condom, and mini bottle of lube. you chuckle, your daughter groans, and her girlfriend's eyes nearly pop out of her head.
"this is so humiliating." your kid mumbles. you giggle.
"hey-- if she sticks around after this, then you know she's a keeper." you tease. your girl snorts.
"mom leave her alone!" she calls.
"you gotta pen?" sevika asks. you watch as the girl scrambles for a pen and paper, handing it to your wife. sevika scrawls something onto the paper, then hands it back. "my number. call if you need anything." she says. the girl gulps and nods.
"oh my god." your kid groans. "she's gonna dump me after this."
you laugh. "no she's not." you say. "when she wasn't cowering in fear 'cause of your mom, the only thing she was looking at this entire time was you. i think you've got her hooked, honey." you say. little fucker melts, a shy smile creeping up her face.
"yeah." she says dreamily. you press a solid kiss to her head, and hug her one more time.
"be safe. but have some fun, yeah?" you ask. she nods at you. "and tell your girl we're really sorry. mom won't always be like this-- it's just how she shows she cares."
"i know."
sevika comes back to wrap your girl in a hug, kissing her again.
"love you, kid." she says.
"love you too." she says, squished between the two of you.
when she finally worms her way out of your arms, she hops into the car and leans over the console to press a kiss to her girlfriend's cheek. you grin at the way the girl's look of horror quickly melts, a shy smile taking its place.
"bye!" you call as the car starts up, waving at the girls.
as soon as the car turns the corner, sevika's crying again.
"fuck! she's gonna be in college soon-- what are we gonna do without her annoying ass bothering us all the time?" she asks, crying into your shoulder. you laugh, pressing a kiss to her scalp.
"i've got a few ideas." you say, trailing your hands down to grab your wife's ass. her crying ceases, and she looks up from your shoulder with a cocky smirk.
"oh yeah?" she asks. you giggle and shrug.
"when's the last time we fucked on the couch? or the counter?" you ask. sevika grins, then ducks down to hoist you over her shoulder, running back into the house.
you squeal and laugh the entire way.

High Class Dating.
I’m spending the summer interning in New York before I move to California and I’ve not had any trouble at all when it comes to getting dates, meeting men, or being taken out. I do sugar date and date hypergamously because if you’ve not leveled up your dating game in 2024, you’re missing out. I think it’s imperative to only except dates with men that make you feel good, have good careers and have something to offer, and make an effort to treat you like a lady. 2024 is the decade of the black woman and I know what I want so it’s time for me to get it. I’ve been dating since I was 18, I’m not a love guru by any means but I hold my own, and I love going out and having a good time with high quality men who will treat me well and show me their lifestyle.
My Stats.
As a background, here are my stats: I’m about 5’11 and weigh 140 pounds, I’m dark skin, and I have alopecia (I do wear a wig). Am I drop dead gorgeous? I’m not Jasmine Tookes but I’m confident and love the way I look, I’ve taken time to level up, I have a good workout routine and a toned body, and I’ve made strides with my personal style and makeup skills over the past few years. I’m happy to make posts related to the process that I went through when I started leveling up, the changes I made to my style and to my makeup routine, and the workout routine and some of the food I eat to keep myself healthy and motivated. I don’t believe in dating out of desperation and I think that it’s always important to make an effort if you are a woman; if you make an effort and know your audience then you’ll find that it’s easier to meet people and go to better places.
A few of my dates.
I went to lunch at the Penn Club with a man who I met on Hinge. He’s a successful young plastic surgeon and we spoke for two days before he asked me out on his first day off. He was tall, had big brown eyes and a strong jaw, handsome, an excellent conversationalist, and very intelligent. He made such an effort to take me somewhere beautiful, treat me well, and make sure that I was having fun and he had so much potential. I really liked our date and think it’s one of the best I’ve been on since I landed in New York for my internship.
I went to Martha’s Vineyard for Fourth of July weekend with another date. His family owns a huge house on the island and I’d mentioned to him that I wanted to go somewhere that felt luxurious so he invited me and a few of my friends to visit. It was a beautiful long weekend and I got to do so much; we swam, cooked, watched the fireworks, danced, listened to so much good music, and got to know each other better. I love a man who comes for money and has his own money but is still humble and he is the definition of a good guy.
I feel like every girl has her own story about going out with an NHL player but OMG let me tell you mine. I went out with a Swedish NHL player and these wealthy Scandinavian men and athletes love black women. People will try to say that they only like thin blondes but this man treated me like a princess, he still sends me gifts, he got me tickets for the Stanley Cup finals, and he’s an angel with the most beautiful accent I’ve ever heard. I slid into his DMs on IG and then he was messaging me an hour later, liking all my pics, and asking me if I’ve ever been to Sweden. I’m going to try to go visit Stockholm in December to try to see him during Christmas when I know he’ll be back at home.
How I meet men.
I use Bumble, Hinge, and the good old-fashioned way of leading people in person. I can do a post on the best way I’ve met people in person and some of the venues I like. I think everyone who reads this will agree that there’s just something about a man who treats you well, is strong, and has a thick wallet and good looks. Every girl deserves a guy like that and I think it’s important that black women do not take any bullshit and don’t compromise on what they want. There are men out there who would drop everything in their hands to do something for me, the princess treatment isn’t a myth at all, and I have met so many men who are able and willing to invest in me and my lifestyle. Again, if you know what you want, then you’re going to get it but you have to be willing to put the work in.

Hii, I have an idea for a young miko fic. So basically we’re at her concert right? And we are holding some sort of sign that makes her notice us. (The sign can have anything on it!) Then as she sees the sign, she gets all (ANY EMOTION) and giggling wtv. she gets one of her staff, and tells them something like this “hey, do you see that pretty girl that’s holding up that sign? Get her and bring me her after the concert.” Basically the staff OBVIOUSLY says YES. Then after when we get asked like “hey miko wanted us to bring you to her? If that’s okay with you.” we SAY yes! (obviously) we meet up with her, and TALK, TALK. After that she wants to get our number?!!??!?! yes, yes. Then A DATEEEE. after the date things start to get spicy 🥵 (LOL) (in the end we make out) We meet her friends, producers. The. This one friend is all over her (like what she’s mine??) we start to get jealous, and stuff. She starts to realize and starts laughing at our jealousy. She’s like let’s go home, and we are like alright. she starts to say why we were acting that way, we tell her we were jealous of the girl 😡. Then she’s like okay I’ll block her wtv. “It’s okay baby, I can block her if you want” “baby you know that your mine I would never want anyone else.” Then (INSERT ANOTHER SPICY 🥵 PART.) BOOM ENDING LOL.

Masterlist
You couldn't believe you were even here right now, finally seeing the one and only Young Miko. She was currently on tour and you had managed to get tickets. Your outfit consisted of a white cropped shirt that just came under your tits. It wasn't too short or long, perfect length if anything. Matched with a cute rainbow skirt (cuz why not) pairing that with some black boots. You were making your way in, seeing crowds of people already. Making your way over to hopefully get a good area in the big stadium. It started to get packed in there, but luckily you got there just in time.
She was awesome up there, singing the songs, dancing. It was incredible, you decided now was best to hold up your sign 'disappoint me so I can move on' you thought it would be something funny, and not as crazy like most would do. She was getting done with one of the songs, scanning the area, looking at everyone's signs. Some were in Spanish. When all of a sudden her eyes land on yours, she reads it in her head before laughing and reading it out loud. "That's a good one, made me laugh." Your heart felt like it almost stopped. There was no way out of all the signs in the room she decided to read little ol yours. But Miko's eyes were now attached to you. For the rest of the night that's what it was like. After everything was dying down you get a tap on your shoulder. A bit startled you turn to look at a big tall dude. Your brows furrow, noticing it was security. Had you done something? "Miko has requested you come with me." Your face remains the same in utter confusion. "Don't panic Ms. Nothing bad, promise." You just nod going to walk with him. "The complete opposite actually."
"She's here." Your eyes were glued to her, was this happening. "Thank you." She turns to you. "I take it you don't speak Spanish." You felt like you were being quizzed or interrogated. Like you had to get an answer right. "I- no I don't." She smiles at you. "Could tell by the sign, that's completely okay tho, not every fan of mine needs to." You're the one smiling now. She was so kind and it didn't even feel like you were a fan anymore, you two talked so freely. It was nice. "You're probably really confused on why you're here huh?" You nod. "Just a little bit-" You let out a small laugh. "Well, that sign was funny, and I dunno really. You interested me, not to mention you're beautiful." You felt heat coming to your cheeks. Ok now it felt like you were a fan. You two had moved to a small couch in the back just sitting there, chatting. "Can I take you out for dinner some time?" Flabbergasted would be such an understatement for the emotion you felt right now. "Really?" She laughs a tiny bit. "Truly." There was a pause. Not like you needed time to think about this, you just didn't want to come across as insane. "Yeah, ofcourse." Her smile only widens. "Sweet, here's my number. Text it tonight and we can arrange something." Her hand gently comes in contact with your chin giving it a soft touch before standing up.
It was now later that night, you couldn't even process what on earth just happened. Were you really about to go out on what seemed like a date with this woman? Yes. Were you scared and nervous all in one? Yes. You had put on a nice dress for the occasion, nothing too fancy as you had no idea where she was taking you. Your nerves kicked in as soon as you were about to leave, what am I doing, is this crazy???
Once you had finally arrived you see her there, she looked so good. Too good, it might drive you more insane than you already felt. But you had to keep your cool, this is a once in a life time opportunity. Don't fuck it up. She notices you and smiles, signaling for you to come over. You make your way on over to her, going inside to sit beside her.
Dinner was lovely, the food was great, Miko's presence was even better. "Ready to go?" She then asks you. You nod going to grab your wallet. Her hand stops yours. "On me babe." She smiles at you, making you stop your actions. "Are you sure?" She nods at your question, going up to pay. You had grabbed your jacket, standing and waiting for her to get back. "The food was incredible." You state heading for the door. "It really was."
She had led you to her car. "Wanna sit in here for a bit?" You couldn't help the smile inching its way onto your face, was something about to happen? You ofcourse say yes, getting in the passenger seat. The both of you sit in silence for a moment. "You look gorgeous." She compliments you. A blush makes its way onto your face, what was happening. "So do you, you look really good." She lets out a small chuckle. "Yeah? You think?" "I know." There was another slight silence upon you, until her head turns and she's staring at your lips. Her hand makes its way on your thigh, resting there gently.
Your heart races, were you really about to kiss? Indeed you were, you suddenly feel her soft lips on yours. Kissing slow but passionately. This didn't feel real. The kiss continues on. Until you both pull away for air. "I really like you." She admits.
And thats how your relationship started, you had gone on many more dates after that. Keeping it a secret for quite a long time. Over the past 4 months you guys grew inseparable. You met all of her kind friends, some of her family. They were always so welcoming. And her team. Everything was great and tonight you were going to a party with her. There was going to be a mixture of people. Celebs, friends of celebs, and more.
You'd be lying If you said you weren't incredibly nervous. Even if you had met most of these people. You always kept to yourself so loads of people in one room was something you had to get use to. Its taking a bit of adjusting but you're slowly getting there. Miko then comes in all ready in some jeans and a white baggy t-shirt. "Ready Mami?" You nod and smile at her. "You look really good." She flashes you her smile. "So do you, give me a spin." You do just that with a humongous pink shade spreading on your cheeks.
You guys arrive not too long after at the house the party was being held at music booming, heaps of people dancing, drinking, conversating. You and Miko were walking around until a blonde girl stops her. You hadn't gotten a drink yet so you quickly go over and grab one, when you come back you notice that same girl laughing way too loud for your liking. "Hey, got some drinks, whats going on?" You ask politely. The girl shrugs. "We were talking about something music related." Miko then says to you. "Oh ok!" You smile at her, still really off about the girl.
And that went on and on throughout the night, you were honestly getting agitated. And ofcourse not at Miko. But this one bitch knew exactly what she was up to. She was well aware you were with Miko. Your teeth sink into your lip with annoyance. In all honesty you want to go. And now. You hung close to Miko, linking arms with her. When suddenly the girl leaves, finally. You grab Miko's arm gently and look up at her. "Think we can head back?" She nods. "Speaking my language honestly."
As soon as you got back to her apartment you feel so much relief. "She was starting to bug me." She laughs a tiny bit, making your focus turn to her. "What's funny?" "Jealousy?" Your head shakes. "She was all over you baby!?" Your bewildered look makes her kaugh more, setting her hands on your shoulders. "Trust me her voice was making me want to throw that drink in her face. I'm just teasing you." A smile spreads across your features. "You're annoying." She lightly shove her with a small laugh of your own. "You love meee." It was true. "Still jealous though?" Your eyes squint. "You know you're mine." Her hands find placement on your waist. "Damn right I am."
Her eyes avert to your lips, leaning down and kissing you. Ofcourse you kiss back, dangling your arms around her neck as she swiftly picks you up and takes you to the bedroom. She plops you on the bed making your arms automatically fall above your head, causing her body to hover over yours and hold them in place. Her lips move to your neck, sucking biting. Making you moan, as they travel down your cleavage. She makes your dress rise and pulling your underwear to the side also, her face is immediately near it, sticking her tongue inside your hole, teasing slightly. Your head falls back at the feeling.
"Fuck Miko!" You breathe out as she fully sticks her warm tongue in. Your back arches slightly. But something so random is to be felt on your face. Water? Wetness. What the fuck. Until your eyes shot open feeling your dog annoyingly lick your face. You groan, it was all. Just. A, dream.
Hehe hope you like the end it was really different but I enjoyed the concept 🙃

I finally met zerobaseone
(in concert, of course) (also, hello I'm back from the dead!)
✎ this is a documentation of my experiences at TIMELESS WORLD IN MANILA. This will be long and will be mostly for myself to look back on.
Let me start of by saying that I had been extremely lucky. I had been a fan of these boys since boys planet, so it's a no-brainer that I purchased STANDING VIP tickets for their first Asian tour. Admittedly, I had been busy as of late – only keeping up with major song releases. I even set aside writing as a hobby. But still, I felt I owed it to them and to myself to watch them in concert.
The day comes, October 12, 2024 and the queueing number I'm assigned to is 164. This means that 163 people will enter the arena before me and take their desired spot. I was prepared to have a view with 4 rows of people ahead of me. But still, it was a great day and I had no reason to complain. I complimented people on their outfits, spoke to the staff, and traded cards with zerose.
The security team messed up, and called on the wrong section to start entering the arena. My line got separated from the rest, and I was left to the side of the entrance. I wasn't sure what time they were gonna let me in.
By some grace of the universe, they let my line in first. I became THE VERY FIRST to enter the arena. So that was when I secured my spot in front of the right side of the stage. The only thing that would separate me and the stage is the barricade. I was with my friend, and we were both so giddy.
SOUNDCHECK EXPERIENCE
They came outta nowhere, I wasn't even prepared. They started pouring in stage and greeting everyone and I was shaking so bad. It felt surreal to see them up on stage.
I had a lot of signages prepared. I wanted to ask Ricky and Hanbin what tattoo to get. To my surprise, they noticed me right away and gave their answer within 5 minutes of entering the stage. I was in SHOCK.
The soundcheck experience ended, and it was the shortest 10 minutes of my life.
CONCERT EXPERIENCE
I have a lot to say about the concert. And it's all good things. All their songs sound better in real life. Stage presence unmatched. I think I blacked out during the first song, I was extremely overwhelmed.
Ricky is even more ethereal in real life. I'm not even joking when I say that I was looking at him for 50% of the concert. That face card is crazy, and his confidence is overwhelming. His aura is calm, cool, and collected. What's crazy is that I would start filming Gunwook, but my camera would magically gravitate toward filming Ricky instead.
Hanbin is exactly like how you would imagine him to be. He was so sweet, and he was truly THE fanservice king. He reads signs a lot, and matches all the requests it reads out. I think I got noticed by him a total of 3 times at the concert.
Matthew is a sweetheart. My friend who watched with me is a big seokryudan, and her sign read "take our phone!". He mouthed "I'm sorry I can't, but I love you" to her and blew her a kiss. I wish I was making this shit up.
Gyuvin also is a fanservice king. Love him so much. He read all our signs, and even WITHOUT a sign, he still interacted with me. Jiwoong looks like a god that I can't touch. Hao is so fun to watch on stage because you can tell he loves music and dance so much. Yujin wants to be an adult so bad :( can you just be a baby for a moment please! and Taerae only exclusively notices fanboys. It's kinda funny.
And finally, Gunwook. As you may all know, I'm a Gunwook bias through and through. He didn't really notice me in the beginning, until I remembered he has bad eyesight so I have to try a little harder (lol). Before that, I want to praise him because his presence on stage is so mesmerizing. I keep looking for him because he is energetic, charismatic, and so so so alluring to watch. His movements seem even bigger and better on stage, and he just looks like he is having the best time in the world.
All my interactions with him happened during the last commentary segment of the concert. He saw my "wink if you see this" sign, and my "Gunwook I choose you" Pokemon sign.
Let me break down this interaction for you. When he read my sign, I was raising my banner SO HIGH. I am 5'7" and if I jump, with my arm outstretched, my sign would float above the rest of the crowd – so that's exactly what I did.
What I cannot get over is how he LAUGHED at me when I almost fell as I landed, and I started mouthing "thank you I love you" and he gave me a thumbs up. I do not think I will EVER get over this experience. EVER.
DEALING WITH PCD It's been hard, but I've been coping by purchasing albums and unboxing photocards. It also helps that I've made a lot of tiktok videos on this experience. Overall, 1000/10 experience. If you have any questions or just wanna talk, my inbox/asks are open! <3 miss you all

Go take a look at this beautiful trove of old SparkSound magazines someone is selling on eBay. For the price they might as well be made out of gold, but the seller's been nice enough to take big, largely readable photos of so many of the issues. Is there a similar digital hoard of scanned versions? I'd love to see more! (I've seen photo pages in full but only snippets of the rest.) The absolute like... raw, sloppy, fanzine chaos of these as as official publications from a major label band is blowing my fucking mind, even if it is just for the fan club. It's literally their mom cutting and pasting and cramming mentions from both Melody Maker and TV Guide onto an A3 sheet of paper, layouts be damned. The apostrophe on her typewriter is broken for a couple issues but she carries on with an asterisk. She's also around 60 by this point and banging this out to an audience of hundreds or thousands like it's a local Kiwanis club newsletter. But she's doing it with gusto, by gum, and it's punk as hell. The best thing about it is that the lack of style is made up for by the absolute top-tier access to the band, and her being surprisingly on top of pertinent details.
For those of you who weren't in a fandom before the internet, those behind-the-scenes photos were like your favorite band's proof of life. There was no Instagram or Twitter, or anything that proved they existed between national TV appearances and touring in your area (besides those mentions in Melody Maker anyway). If you were lucky, your fandom had the capacity to trade videotapes and people in Scranton could see local TV appearances in Los Angeles and vice-versa. If you were really lucky they weren't all copies of copies with potato quality sound and video. Likewise, if you wanted the 12" extended European dance mix of a song with a B-side unavailable in the US, you had to either special order it somewhere and pay through the nose, hope it was in the imports section of a record store (and still pay through the nose), or you had to trade cassettes or burned CDs and hope the other person didn't flake on you. The fact that she's saying "Don't go running to the import section yet, the single will be out on ____ record label on this date with this track listing" is WAY more info than we usually got from our official sources. All "Mary Martin" needed to do for exclusive content was take pictures of her sons on vacation. On one page she's absolutely dunking on Russell them in wry cut-and-paste captions and on another she is the perfect hype man, telling people shows at The Greek Theater are gonna sell out so get your tickets early (but hold your horses on travelling- they're working on Japanese dates for September so you may not need to fly to the US). The personal thank-yous! The CARE! *slams fist on table* If any other band had their mom as the head of their fan club it'd be the most contrived shit in the universe, a complete lie, or both. I fucking love these guys.

wc: 5.4k
--
You drop your backpack on the ground beside the picnic table Vera has claimed outside the student union. She looks up from her laptop to smile at you but you shake your head.
“Bad day?”
“Bad day,” you confirm. “Fuck math, honestly. I don’t even need it for my degree, the university just requires it so they can drain our bank accounts even more.”
“Have you eaten today?” She laughs, sliding you her lunch box, three Onigiri sitting perfectly in it.
“Osamu drop by again?” You ask, picking the one closest to you.
“Mhmm,” she hums. “He just went to take his brother some. He’ll be back.”
You roll your eyes at the mention of his brother. Atsumu Miya, the star setter of the university’s volleyball team. Arrogant, flirtatious, and insufferable to be around. Since Vera started seeing Osamu, you’ve been caught in the crossfire since wherever one twin is, the other is sure to follow. Unfortunately, your love for your friend outweighs abandoning her when he shows up.
So you’ve put up with his insistent flirting, his stupid jokes, and his innuendos when he’s drunk.
Osamu kisses the top of Vera’s head as he sits down, muttering something in her ear and making her smile and smack him. He’s been teaching her filthy phrases in Japanese, and apparently, she liked this particular one.
“How was Atsumu?” Vera asks Osamu, nudging him with her elbow.
You look at her and frown. She has that look on her face that indicates she’s up to something.
“Oh great!” He smiles at her and then looks at you. “-----, I was actually going to ask-”
“Stop. Stop right there.” You hold up your finger to him.
“You don’t even know what he’s going to say!” Vera smacks your finger away. “Listen to him.”
“Fine,” you roll your eyes and force a smile. “What is it?”
“Atsumu,” he starts and you sigh, “he’s not adjusting well. He acts like he is but when he’s at our apartment, he never comes out of his room unless it's for class or practice.” He takes a sip from his water bottle before continuing. “He needs someone to go out with and I know he likes your company.”
You scoff but Osamu doesn’t budge. “How? I’ve not been nice to him since I met him.”
Osamu smiles, “I think he’s into that. Caught him listening to “She’s So Mean” the other night, actually.”
You look to Vera and her eyes are pleading. You know from a conversation with her that she hasn’t slept with Osamu yet, but she wants to. It’s probably because Atsumu never leaves the apartment and is killing their mood.
“You both owe me. Big time.”
“I just so happen to have two tickets to your favorite band next month,” Vera says casually, taking a bite of her own Onigiri.
“Since when? Those were way overpriced when we checked!” You frown, looking at her shrug.
“Got ‘em the day after.” She says through a mouth full of food and you laugh.
“Fine, I’ll do it for the tickets. Just tell me how to get Atsumu to go out with me.”
“We have the formal next week,” Vera smiles. “He knows about it since Osamu is going with me. Just ask him to do that.”
–
The hallway smells like sweat and dirty socks outside the boy's locker room. You wonder how they can stand it themselves, but realize they’re probably nose-blind to it after years of smelling it. You lean against the wall, hoping it’s not going to ruin your white sweatshirt.
Men trickle out, one by one, soaked with sweat or wet from their shower. You hope it’s from the shower. You’re ready to give up when you spot his blonde hair. Atsumu Miya is wearing a university-branded black sweatshirt and matching sweats. He has a gym bag thrown over his shoulder and he’s laughing with a teammate.
His eyes catch yours and he looks away. His facial expression changes, his eyes lighting up as he realizes it’s you. He says a few more words you can’t make out to his teammate before strolling towards you.
“Hey, —--, what are you doing here?” He asks, that sleazy grin on his cheeks.
Fighting back an insult, you grin. “So, this is embarrassing really.” You twirl a strand of hair between your fingers. “My sorority is hosting a formal in a week, so I wondered if you’d be my date.”
His eyes widen for a moment, but he nods. “I would love to be your date.” Then something on his face changes. “In exchange for something, however.”
“What is it?” You frown, irritated he’d even think this was a negotiation.
“We have a banquet for the team in two days. Come with me to that, and I’ll go with you to the formal.” Atsumu’s smile is confident, but something in his eyes tells you he’s worried you’ll walk away.
“Fine. You have to buy me a new dress for it though. I already bought one for the formal, but I am not about to buy one for the banquet I don’t want to be at.”
He laughs. “I don’t really want to go either, but since we won this year’s tournament, we kinda have to attend, y’know.”
You nod, understanding. You don’t want to attend the sorority’s formal or be in the sorority either. However, Vera begged you to join and you know it’ll look good on your resume. So you’ve been in it for the last year and a half despite hating most of the events.
“Meet me at the mall later? Seven o’clock?”
“Sure,” he smiles at you and you give a quick one back before walking away.
The walk back to your apartment is chilly, so you pull on your hoodie. The weather is quickly turning, and the leaves changing on the mountains around your campus. Vera isn’t in the apartment when you get home, as usual since she pretty much lives with Osamu now. You don’t mind, especially since she doesn’t leave messes around the apartment when she’s gone.
Somehow, you manage to kill two hours between playing Stardew Valley on your Switch and scrolling through socials on your phone. You notice it’s nearing seven. Groaning, you get off the couch and force yourself to take the elevator down to the parking garage to your car.
Atsumu is standing in the food court when you walk into the mall, finding it strange that he’d know this is where you would like to enter from. When he turns around, he’s holding two smoothies. One, half gone as if he’s been here a while. He holds it out and you thank him.
“Vera said you like strawberries and bananas,” he tells you and you nod and thank him. It’s a very kind gesture, something he didn’t need to do. It softens you up a bit, whether you like to admit it or not.
“Were you here with her and Osamu?” You ask after taking a long sip.
He shakes his head no. “She was at the apartment. I think they were rushing me out.” He laughs, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand like he’s uncomfortable.
“Ah,” you feel for him, you do, but he can be annoying so you understand Vera. “Well, let's get a dress then.”
He follows you down the mall hallway, not saying anything but a few comments on the stores you pass. Most of them are either hosting sales for the coming holidays. You insist you don’t want to go look for anything but something to wear to his banquet. Once in the boutique where you bought your formal dress, you pull him over towards the side with your favorite colors on the rack.
“I can’t get anything green,” you tell him. The dress you bought for your formal is a strappy emerald green, so you’d rather have something in a different color.
“What about purple?” He asks, holding up a long-sleeved plum dress. The fabric looks soft, but like it’ll cling awkwardly.
“I like the color,” you take it from him, feeling the fabric. “But, this might get hot in a crowded room.” You hang it back on the rack. Another look through the purple dresses, you see that it’s been picked through. “I guess we have to try a different color.”
“Black is always a good look, classy.” He tells you and you roll your eyes.
“Now I don’t want black,” you tell him with a sweet smile and he rolls his eyes now.
“What other colors do you like?” He asks as if he’s genuinely trying to help.
“I don’t know. I don’t like shopping when I don’t know what others are wearing.” At least when you were shopping here with Vera, the other sorority sisters were here too so you could all know what one another was wearing and coordinate to an extent.
“I’m wearing a black tux with a blue tie.”
“What color blue?” You ask.
“Um,” he looks around, sipping on his smoothie. He walks down a few racks. “This shade.” He holds out a baby blue dress. It’s very cute and would look nice on your curves.
“Let me see the sizes they have,” you sigh, not sure about the color despite the shape. They do have your size, so you go to the dressing room, to try it on.
You were right, it hugs your body in the places you want. You open the door, letting Atsumu see it. His eyes go bright and wide when you meet them and you cover your body with your arms and shut the door.
“What?” He whines, knocking on the door.
“Don’t look so surprised.” You tell him.
“I’m not! I knew it’d look good on you, and I was right! I was just excited to see it.”
You open the door, letting him see you again. “I do like it.”
“Then let me buy it for you.” He grins, leaning forward so his face is just above yours.
You freeze, feeling his breath on your skin. This is the closest you’ve been to him since you met him. You know it’s impossible, but you swear you can feel the heat from his body leaching yours away.
You step back. “You really don’t have to. I was just being an ass earlier. I can buy my own-“
“No, I insist.” He smiles, taking the dress from your hand.
You don’t fight him as he walks up to the register, paying for the dress and then asking you if you have shoes that’ll match. You inform him of your shoe addiction and assure him you’ll have something that looks good with the dress.
“Y’know, I also collect shoes. Mostly sneakers though, nothing fancy like I’m sure you have.” Atsumu keeps the conversation going as you walk back to the food court.
“Mine is nothing fancy either.” You smile at him, a genuine smile. Maybe he isn’t so bad. Maybe it’s just because he’s trying to butter you up so you don’t decide to go back on your agreement to go to the formal and banquet with him.
It’s definitely the latter.
“Have you had dinner?” You ask and he shakes his head.
“Your bestie rushed me out before my noodles finished microwaving.”
You laugh at the way bestie sounds on his lips. You find yourself wondering if there’s a Japanese equivalent to the slang word but stop yourself from asking. You don’t have to befriend Atsumu to get tickets to the concert, just go on these two side quests with him.
“Can I at least buy you something as a thank you for the dress?” You ask and he smiles at you, his teeth shining… but you notice a berry seed stuck between two of his teeth.
You don’t tell him about it, but find yourself thinking about how adorably childlike it was. You shake your head, clearing the thought, and then gesture to the multiple food establishments around you and him.
“Noodles? Sandwiches? Pizza?” You ask, eyeing the different booths.
“I think I’ll go with Chinese,” he tells you. “Unless you want something else.”
“I love Chinese,” you tell him and follow him to the vendor.
After ordering your food, you sit across from him at one of the less dirty mall tables and awkwardly eat together in silence. It’s not that you have nothing to say to him, it’s just all your thoughts happen to be funny insults or sarcastic remarks.
So you keep your mouth preoccupied with the mall Chinese food.
–
Two days pass incredibly quickly. That happens when things are coming up that you don’t particularly look forward to, you suppose. You have about three hours until Atsumu told you he’d pick you up on Snapchat. You weren’t about to give him access to your phone number. Plus, you have a secret habit of stalking people on the SnapMap feature.
You decide it’s time to get ready, so you do. By the time you’re showered, dressed, makeup and hair done, it’s just a few minutes before Atsumu is due at your door. Tossing your lipstick and gloss into your clutch, you sit down on your bed to slip on your strappy silver heels that look good with the dress Atsumu picked out.
For a split, unpredictable, second you begin to wonder what Atsumu will think of your shoe choice.
You shake your head, clearing the thought and making your hair bounce around your face. Pushing it out of the way, you stand up and head to the living room. As you approach the center of the room, the knock at the door startles you. Glancing at your phone, you see he’s a few minutes early.
“Hey!” He’s dressed in a black suit, with a light blue tie that matches your dress almost perfectly.
“Hi,” you don’t smile, but you don’t grimace at least. Shutting the door, you lock it behind you, no longer worrying if Vera has her key or not. She can always go to Osamu’s.
The drive to the sports campus isn’t long, honestly if you weren’t wearing heels it would be a nice walk with the slightly warmer evening you’re having. Atsumu plays a band you don’t recognize, but you enjoy it silently.
I don't want anybody else touching you like I do
Like I do, like me
Is it okay
That I don't want anybody else touching you like I do
Like I do, like me?
The last time it plays, you hum along and glance over to Atsumu who is mouthing the lyrics. You can’t hate him for having a decent song playing. You smile looking back out the window. Maybe he isn’t who he likes to portray himself as at those parties you’ve been to where he’s been a total douche.
Atsumu parks outside the volleyball center, pulling into one of the closest spots he can find to the walkway, which you appreciate. These shoes are comfortable enough for a few hours but you don’t want to push it, especially when you like to walk to campus as much as possible during the week. Having blisters for the next two days and then your formal on Saturday would be a bitch.
Your hand grazes Atsumu’s hand and you pull it back closer to your body, cheeks warming. You keep looking forward, despite feeling the burn from his eyes on you. He must have that signature smirk on his lips, but you can’t bring yourself to look.
He holds the door open and you can hear the music filling the hallway from the gym. When you make it inside, you see it’s been transformed from the standard gymnasium into a beautiful banquet hall. The hardwood floor has been covered in a dark carpet and the drapes cover the high ceilings and bleachers around the room.
“Wow,” you dazzle at the room, taking in the beautifully set tables and the gorgeous people filling the room.
“Pretty cool right? Looks nothin’ like the gym usually does.” He grins, holding his arm out. “I’ll show ya to our table.”
You take his arm and let him lead you. It’s towards the front and you notice it;s organized by rank. He’s a third year, and a starter, so he gets to sit at the front row of tables. He pulls your chair out and you sit next to the dark haired man already at the table. Atsumu introduces him as Sakusa, he knows him from back home in Japan.
Sakusa doesn’t seem interested in continuing the conversation so you don’t press. You’ve been there after all.
Turning your attention to Atsumu, you listen in as he talks to another player, who’s name you’ve forgotten. They discuss their last game, the setter dump Atsumu played to win the match. They both talk so enthusiastically you almost wish you’d been there for it. It was hosted here, and Vera went with Osamu.
You’d chosen to stay in and read one of the books you’d been assigned for your Victorian Lit class, claiming it was more important than school spirit. Really, you were just avoiding seeing Atsumu anymore than you have to.
Atsumu stops talking when someone takes the mic, you look up to see it’s their coach. He gives out some awards, two of which go to Atsumu. You clap for him and cheer the second time. He blushes as he sits back down. You don’t push away his hand when he places it on your knee underneath the table.
“With that, I conclude the season. I’m proud of each of you boys. Enjoy the rest of your night!” The coach steps off the stage and “Mr. Brightside” starts blasting across the speakers in the gym.
Boys and their dates get up, rushing to the center of the room where a dance floor has been staged. They all look so excited and happy to be here. Without turning your head too much, you look over to Atsumu. You don’t want him to notice you watching him, but you see a longing in his eyes you can’t ignore.
“Wanna dance?”
“We don’t have to…” he stares off to the crowd again.
“Oh, come on.” You stand up and take his hands.
Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibi
He walks with you as you try to not trip walking backwards to the dance floor quickly. Atsumu’s eyes are bright and wide as you spin him around at arm's length. He laughs and so do you. He pulls you in closer, starting to jump at the same beat as everyone else on the floor.
“I’m comin’ out of my cage!” he shouts.
“And I’ve been doin’ just fine!” you finish and he laughs, spinning you around a few times as the music plays and your head spins.
“How did it end up like this?”
“It was only a kiss!” You’re now in each other’s personal space shouting the lyrics and jumping and laughing to the music.
Just as the song is about to end, someone bumps into you and you fall against Atsumu’s body. He holds you against him, catching his breath and smiling. His eyes don’t move from yours as you straighten in his arms, body flush with his. He’s just millimeters away. So close you can feel his breath on your lips.
He closes your eyes and your stomach erupts into butterflies.
You push him away.
–
The morning of your formal, you think about texting Atsumu to cancel.
The last few nights have been fitful attempts at sleeping. Your dreams are full of Atsumu and self loathing for not taking the opportunity you had to kiss him. You wanted to, you did. In fact, you’ve never wanted to kiss anyone more when you think about it.
However, it would make this messy. You can’t fall for someone you’re being paid to haul around. So you decide to not cancel.
You have to go to support the new pledges and you agreed to take him for the concert tickets. So you go through the day, still ignoring the multiple unread snapchats you have from Atsumu until you get a text from Vera.
Text him back, bitch. He won’t stop freaking out at me and Samu. This is our deal!
You reply with an emoji and open the snaps from Atsumu.
Hey… sorry about last night.
I hope I didn’t freak you out.
—--, please answer me. I’m sorry.
Hey, what time should I pick you up tonight?
You see his bitmoji pop up as you start typing and you sigh. You lie about coming down with a cold the last few days and then let him know you’re all good for tonight and he should get you at eight. You can’t help but smile knowing he was freaked out that you weren’t answering him.
By the time eight rolls around, you’re ready and waiting by the door. He arrives on time and smiles as he looks you up and down. You can’t say it doesn’t flatter you, but you’re already on edge after him almost kissing you…
Or was it you who went in first?
No… no it was him. It had to be him.
In the car he plays that song again.
I used to call you my best friend
Way back before you were my everything
Now I’m sucking your neck
And you wrote my favorite song
Now I’m fucked up and carrying on
I do not know the words to it yet, oh
And it hits me
I don’t want anybody else touching you like I do
Like I do, like me
You hum along with him, before asking him the name of it. He shows you his phone while keeping one hand on the steering wheel. You favorite it on Spotify then put your phone back in your purse.
“We’ll probably have to park in that garage a few blocks from the house. We’re not going to be able to find any parking near it.” You tell him as the music fades out and another song starts.
“Oh good idea,” he says, turning on his blinker to turn towards the garage nearby the sorority house.
The walk towards the house is littered with other members and their dates for the night. You stay far enough away to where waves suffice as an acknowledgement of their presence. You’ll have plenty of time to socialize once you’re inside.
“Did Vera say when she’s coming with your brother?” You ask as you both start up the steps to the main entrance of the house.
The sorority house has been completely transformed from living quarters to an elegant formal event. Furniture is sparse besides high tables and some bar stools for those tables. The living room still has the comfortable couches, but they’re pushed up against the walls and full of the new pledges waiting who must be too shy to mingle just yet.
“I think they should be here now,” Atsumu finally answers.
You look around. “I’ll go get us a drink and then we can look for him.”
On the way to the kitchen you run into several girls who want to know just how you got Atsumu to come with you. You just laugh and make a few jokes about it before finally getting two cups of champagne and bringing them to Atsumu.
He’s flocked by a few of his friends, and Osamu. You hand him the drink and then walk away, no longer feeling obligated to keep him company. Vera is standing with a girl named Heather who’s the president of your chapter of the sorority.
You join them in conversation before Heather is swept away to handle something with the pledges.
“Where’s Atsumu?” She asks, dragging out the last vowel.
“Where’s Osamu?” You mimic.
“Looks like they’re having a good time with each other.” She says and you nod, taking a sip of your drink. “Thank you for bringing him.”
“Eh, it’s worth the tickets.”
“Shh,” she hushes you and you roll your eyes.
“He won’t find out, it’s fine.” The music is way too loud for him to overhear you.
“I think he likes you,” Vera says after a few moments of listening to the new song that’s started. “He’s been a mess for a few days since you didn’t answer him.”
You frown, this definitely was not something you had accounted for when you agreed to bring him to this as your date.
“Did you know he would-”
“Hey, wanna dance?” Atsumu interrupts and you frown again at Vera before nodding to him.
“Sure,” you pound the drink, handing the cup to Vera before taking his hand and going to the dance floor.
The music is loud and all consuming. So many people are dancing, you don’t even notice Atsumu much, besides when his hands slip around your waist and you wiggle away from him as nonchalantly as possible.
He doesn’t stop though, and you like it despite knowing this isn’t making it easier on him… or you.
A few songs pass before someone calls out for some shots, and everyone runs to get one but you and Atsumu. He looks at you and takes your hands in his.
“Want a drink?” He asks.
“Eh,” you shrug. “The champagne doesn’t do well with all this dancing.
“We don’t have to keep dancing,” he grins and you avert your eyes.
“I’ll be right back.” You tell him, walking off and towards the stairs you’d seen Vera go up a song or two ago.
If Atsumu had feelings for you before this started, it was fucked up of Osamu and her to make this deal with you. You want to call it off. Let them go to the concert together and you can go back to being the awkward third wheel when you get to see her.
Trying to open a door you find it locked and you laugh. Already? It’s barely nine now. To each their own, though.
Another door opens, but it’s just one of the bathrooms. The third and final door down this hall opens to a bare room with a bed in the center. Not many of the girls actually stay in the sorority house anymore, it’s mostly just for events like this one.
Vera must be in the locked room.
You turn to leave the room, but find Atsumu standing in the doorway. He shuts the door behind him, stepping forward and beginning to speak.
“-----, I need to tell you something-”
“Atsumu, stop.” You hold up your hand, and he pushes it away.
“No! I’ve been wanting to tell you that I’m sorry. I know I made things weird the other night at the banquet-”
“I’ve been lying to you.” You blurt it out. “I never wanted to bring you here.”
He laughs, turning away from you and rubbing the back of his head with his right hand. He turns back to face you. He steps closer, pushing you back on the bed.
You fall back, pushing yourself back up ready to yell at him for pushing you down. Before you can curse him, he is hovering over you, his eyes wild and you feel every nerve in your body awaken. His lips graze yours.
You can’t help it, you kiss him back. You dig your fingers into the back of his shoulders. Oh, and you spread your legs just enough so his thigh can press up against your core as he kisses your neck. Everything about it feels more real than anything else you’ve experienced in your life.
“Atsumu,” you groan as he palms at your breast.
“Please,” his voice is pleading with you just as his words do.
“I can’t. Atsumu I can’t,” you try to push him off you, but he stays put looking down at you.
There’s tears in his eyes.
“Do you think I’m stupid, —--?” He asks and you frown.
“No I-”
“You think I don’t know Osamu and Vera are bribing you to spend time with me and bring me here? Do you thin k I’m that fucking stupid?” His voice is cracking.
“Atsumu, I really don’t know what to say.”
“Just use me then! Use me for what I’m good at.”
Something in you breaks now. This was wrong. This was all so so so wrong. You’ve made a huge mistake and now he wants you to keep doing it just so he doesn’t have to feel rejected.
“I’m sorry,” you cry now too, but you know you don’t deserve to.
Your tears are worthless to him. Instead of letting him see your remorse, you think of the quickest way to get away. You manage to crawl out from under him and run out of the room and down the stairs.
If you’ve ever been good at one thing. It’s running away.
–
Turning your phone off was easier than dealing with Atsumu’s emotions, Vera’s rage, and of course, the sorority sister’s gossip. You leave it off for the remainder of the weekend. Vera didn’t bother to come home, which didn’t really surprise you.
However, when you open your phone up for the first time in 48 hours, there’s an alert from ticketmaster that tickets have been transferred to your account. Two tickets for a show no one is going to want to go with you to.
It’s not for two weeks, so you could sell them, but what good would that be? You already made Atsumu feel like shit, something that wouldn’t have bothered you a week ago, but now you do. Something about going makes you feel like you’d be rubbing salt in his wounds.
Even if you try justifying that you didn’t know he had feelings for you, you still feel… icky.
The only saving grace is that fall break is this week, so you don’t have to see him on campus. Once the week passes though, there is the chance you’ll run into him since Vera is in kahoots with his twin, afterall.
When the time comes, you find it’s actually easier to avoid him than you imagined. Osamu has taken an internship at a local restaurant so Vera is freed up during the day’s she usually spends with him. Without Osamu around, Atsumu was sure not to follow.
“I don’t know what to do.” You tell Vera, the night before the concert as you’re both sat in the living room watching 10 Things I Hate About You.
“Just invite him to the concert. It’s like an olive branch or something, whatever they call it” she says, staring at the screen. “It’s not like you can write him a deep thoughtful letter in one night. Just text him.”
“I don’t have his number,” you admit. Within a few seconds she’s sent you the contact for him.
“Fine,” you get off the couch and pace in your room for a while.
You type out about a dozen different apologies, all of which would do nothing for someone who thought you were just going to use him after what you’d just done. Words have never been your strong suit.
So, you just send him a screenshot of the spare ticket.
The next day, you arrive at the concert venue near campus where the band is playing. You wait for as long as you can at the gate before deciding to go in. When you make it to your seats and the two openers play, you decide he isn’t coming and you’ve just royally fucked up any chance of recovering it with him.
Fall Out Boy takes the stage and you’re out of your chair without a single thought. At least for the next hour you can not think and just feel everything in the music. When it gets to one of your favorite songs, you have completely forgotten about anything going on in your life now.
That is, until you feel two hands grip your waist and nearly give you a heart attack. You freeze when you feel breath on your neck. Just as you’re about to turn, you hear the lyrics repeated in your ear.
“I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me.” Atsumu sings with them.
“Atsumu!” You scream, turning around and throwing your arms around him. “I’m so sorry,” you sob into him, but you doubt he can hear you.
He holds you against him until the song ends, then he holds you by the shoulders before pressing his forehead against yours.
“I forgive you,” he says and you feel the tears threatening to spill again.
“Ats-” before you can finish, his lips are on yours.

THIS IS: SIARGAO ✨
December film dump 🎞️
Growing up in Mindanao for almost 2 decades and never actually being able to traverse the picturesque landscapes in the eastern part of the island is something that I know I have to break before the year ends. So I did.
I flew from Manila to Cebu so early in the morning to catch a connecting flight to Siargao by noon. Traveling to Siargao was a lot of firsts for me. Not having to go to every detail but when the plane was about to take off to Siargao, we were all offloaded due to the bad weather on the island. Fortunately, instead of having to fly back to Manila, the airline was kind enough to take me to a nearby hotel in Cebu, all expenses paid including food, transportation, and next-day ticket. It was an unexpected staycation which surprisingly I enjoyed.
Coming from a very tiring day at work and then going to the airport, I felt like I really needed this quiet time, and I was able to check in to this lavish hotel all by myself while waiting for my flight the next day. Also, I had a great night as well in Cebu catching up with one of my long-time friends and her beaux. I went back to my hotel around 3 in the morning because there’s just so many things to catch up and I really missed my homie so much. Keyword: low-maintenance friendships.
So the day finally came, and I was able to land safely on the island of Siargao. Right off the bat on my first night, I had a lovely dinner with my travel friends slash buddies at work and we went to a bar, and danced the night away which to me serves as a prelude to the great experience this vibrant community had in stored for me as a Mindanaoan that have never set foot beyond the confines of Zamboanga and western Mindanao.
We spent our days being on the road which to me was such a release. Being able to smell the fresh ocean breeze while blasting our favorite Y2K songs in the car and relying on Waze or Google Maps for our next destination, to me, makes the trip so much fun because of the spontaneity and unpredictability that it brings. We went island hopping, danced in the boat, swam on open waters, ate our hearts out, moved from one accommodation to another, and I tried surfing for the first time! I never thought I would enjoy the experience because it was raining lightly at that time and the waves were so big it could easily engulf me, but man, best day ever!!!! I fell on the surfing board and slammed my body on the rushing waves several times but being able to stand on the surfboard for the first time was such a liberating experience. A little bit of a stretch, but it was and I will try it again once I go back to Siargao.
☾
I flew back to Cebu and then to Manila to catch one of my friend’s wedding and luckily I made it with no delay. Looking at the pictures that I got to develop from a Fuji film camera that I brought with me on the island, I am reminded again of the incredible healing power of what it’s like to try new things, be with nature, and just breathe. Knowing that the year is about to end in a couple of weeks, I felt so blessed to have that opportunity to break the complicated rhythm of corporate life and to disconnect for a moment.
After 3 weeks, I get to fly back to Boracay to celebrate New Year’s Eve. So many epic moments that I am also grateful for which I may save for the future but nevertheless, my last month of 2023 was such a banger and I hope it always feels that way.
By the way, I’m writing all these on my iPhone because I’m too tired to get up and open my MacBook, so I appreciate you for hanging with me this far. So that’s it for 2023!
Simply put, I just want to say Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones, and may 2024 be as effervescent as your hopes and dreams for the future.

“you don’t have to feel responsible for me anymore.”
“i can’t help feeling this is a tactical error.”

Some of my favorite things today.
It was rainy and chilly but I did the hill walk to my appointment today anyway - this is how I felt about it at the beginning, though it was fantastic at the end.
The gardens I walk by that surround the old Victorian homes are stunning. I love how they feed the wild parrots which are one of my most favorite things about the city. 🦜 we love our parrot babies.
After my radiation appointment, I walked around the Fillmore neighborhood and popped into Mollie Stone, the fanciest grocery store. I picked up a few things and then spotted a bottle of delicious looking eggnog, so it looks like I’ll be having morning coffee again, yay! At least with that mixed in. Picked up some Christmas presents for my niece’s girls at a sweet kid’s shop, two fairy capes that I kind of wish I could keep for myself. I decided to just use my savings for Christmas and stop stressing about money so much.
Fixed lunch when I got home, then took a deep, dreamless two hour nap. D came over and we went to the Lighting Ceremony on the Embarcadero where they officially light up all of the holiday lights in the City. London Breed our Mayor spoke - I love her. I bought another couple of Christmas presents and now I’m home. We bought tickets for a big NYE dance party at the W Hotel downtown - I want to get cute, dress up, drink and dance my ass off.
This is a weird thing to say but it’s true - getting cancer was a gift. I’m not the same and I don’t want to “go back to normal”. I don’t ever want to go back to that person who was married to her job, an aggressive isolator, depressed, self-medicating with food and social media. Exhausted and uninterested in everything. I feel excited and hopeful about my life, like I can bet on myself in a big, big way. I’m going to take a couple of classes and I love being with people these days. I don’t want to ever go back to that life again. I won’t.

happy birthday to you
timeline: during bouncy era
summary: ateez's maknae receives a "special" present.
For the first time in so long, Bella finally gets to be in her hometown and see her family again.
Unfortunately, she had to wait for this moment because the world was out of place, and she missed being in the same presence as her loved one. The members and Atinys acknowledged that Bella becomes a different person when she is not in Korea. In a good, happy way, to be exact.
The day the group is going to her hometown is on a concert day. It’s also Bella’s birthday.
Despite her oppas being sentimental and astounded about her no longer being the shy teenager, they are proud that she grew up so beautifully. Bella will forever be ATEEZ’s lovely angel.
Before the concert day, the guys prepared two cakes for Bella. One for eating and the other for smashing it onto her face. They are planning to surprise Bella towards the end. As a special gift for her family, she gave them free tickets to attend the show. They’ll be witnessing the chaotic moment.
When the time came, Bella used her energy, and the crowd was in awe. Her gorgeous voice echoed in the air, her dazzling smile had Atinys squealing, and the oppas kept giving her affection because today was all about her. She honestly knew it was her birthday because she saw the fans holding special banners. However, she knows nothing about her surprise. As the night went by, there was nothing but cheers and upbeat energy in the venue.
Later, the group is in casual clothes and doing their final talks with Atinys. Hongjoong has a playful smirk as he speaks. “Our amazing maknae is grown up now, and we got something for her.” He tells the audience. Bella reacts confused but instantly comprehends when she sees Yunho and Mingi coming from backstage with a cake on a rolling table.
It’s a super cute Cinnamoroll cake.
Everyone in the building starts singing the ‘Happy Birthday' song. Bella does a little dance while the cake comes in front of her. She reads the message in royal icing.
To Our Universe
From Your Beloved Oppas
“Thank you so much! I love you all!” Bella speaks into the microphone and does a finger heart.
She also notices there are no candles. Before she could question, Yunho and Mingi smeared icing on her cheeks. Then, in a split second, Wooyoung grabs the cake and smashes it onto her face. At once, the fans and the members are laughing their heads off because of their messy face maknae.
Seonghwa quickly wipes her eyes with his thumb. “Are you okay?” He asked through his giggling. The birthday girl nodded with a big smile. She blinks and turns her head at the evil Wooyoung laughing on the floor. Bella marches up to him. He sees her trying to look mad, but she doesn’t do it because he is lucky that she loves him.
Wooyoung stands up and tries to catch his breath. “Happy birthday bebe!” He yells through the microphone. Like a command, the audience shouted back and cheered their hearts out for their angel. Bella just accepts it and does a heart pose with her arms. Instantly, the guys brought her into a big group hug.

So me and my ABDL friend are from UK and we are big Taylor Swift fans. We got tickets to see her perform in London in August! We are super excited!
Thing is my friend saw online about a fan wearing diapers at one of her previous conserts and now my she's suggested that we wear ours togerher 😆
I've never worn in public so what are your thoughts?
How fun!! I hope yall have a wonderful, safe, magical time together!!
Diapers at crowded public events are a good idea! I imagine restrooms will be overfull and busy at a big event concert like this, so coming prepared seems like a smart, safe option.
My main tips are to make sure you dress appropriately to keep your padding discrete, be cautious about your fluid intake (balancing staying hydrated and not overdoing it so that you won't need a change halfway through the show), have changes ready in the car for afterwards if it's a long drive home (and plastic bags for sealing and disposing of your used padding courteously), wear plenty of powder to prevent chafing while dancing, and have an absolutely amazing time!

This is a really difficult post but this is my honest account of attending the eras tour…
I ended up with VIP general admission standing tickets to Wembley for the 17th. I was completely torn whether to queue up or turn up late and go to the back. When I loaded the ticketmaster site, I was 50 in the queue to get in. I got in, it kicked me out and I rejoined the queue as the 50,000th person. I cried. I only had the option of VIP standing at this point.
In the end I decided to queue up from 12.30. The queuing outside was well managed but when we got in it all went a bit pear shaped. People were pushing in on the grounds that they needed to be with their friends. Half the time this was legit, the other half it wasn’t. I started out row 5 from the front and ended up row 10. I wanted to cry before it had started. The Wembley staff really did nothing to prevent this and you could sense the tension on the floor. I held back tears.
The stage is absolutely huge. You can’t comprehend how big the stage is until you get there. When Taylor was at the far end she was a speck. I could only see the far end of the stage when I went onto my toes. I did this for an hour until my calves were screaming at me. Stood normally I couldn’t see the stage and I could only see the top of the screen. I’m 5’’5 so average height. There was inevitably no room to dance but I wasn’t surprised at this. I was just surprised I couldn’t see anything at all. I kept having to ask my 6’’2 husband where Taylor was on stage 😭😭 maybe I’m naive as hell.
When Taylor did come to the T zone, everyone’s phones went straight in the air, completely blocking my view. I completely understand people want photos. I got some photos. But people don’t need 50 photos at the expense of everyone else’s experience. You need 1-2. I swear mobiles will be the death of our generation.
“A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground, with no one around to tweet it”.
Taylor did look at me through the sea of phones. I don’t know if I’m being crazy but I’m a massively empathetic person and when she looked in our direction I felt like she was scared of us. And I completely get it if that were the case because everytime she came down our end, the phones went up like robotic arms. I was scared of us, too.
I’ve spent the last 24 hours mourning and thinking “could’ve, would’ve, should’ve”. But I got the experience I was given. It didn’t occur to me to buy multiple tickets for multiple dates. It’s just not how my mind works but boy do I regret it. I bought one for me and one for my husband. I wish I had gone at the back and danced my little socks off. I’ve been trying to get a press pass for tonight but I’ve left it too late. I can’t afford resale tickets.
I watched 95% of the eras tour through the back of other peoples phones. You will look at those photos they and others have taken and think “wow, what an amazing view”. They were holding their phones 2 feet above their heads. Their phone may have had an amazing view, but they did not.
I love Taylor and I know she loves her fans. I don’t want her to feel bad. I just wanted to be honest.
Note to add: there are no channels to complain to. I’ve messaged ticketmaster and got cut off. I’ve messaged Taylor nation and got silence. I paid £250 per ticket.
