I really enjoyed drawing this one! I definitely want to do more drawings of Majima with his hair down. I listened to a lot of sad love songs while drawing this, like When She Loved Me by Sarah McLachlan and Same Old Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg, because they made me think of Majima and Makoto's relationship. I put glitter under Majima's eye to make it look wet like he'd been crying. I was a little concerned that it might look like he was wearing glittery makeup, but I feel like it got the point across. Also, his dark circles are always tricky.

i think watercolor wld be less daunting if it didnt require special paper, which is Obvious but I dont even mean it in the "i dont wanna waste the good paper" way, more like I'll doodle aimlessly in my sketchbook and if a Nice Drawing happens to come out of me as a result, and I feel like painting over it in gouache, I will simply do that... watercolor is scary bc i feel i have to go into the Specific Special Paper with a plan and I rarely have plans

Night art. Everything is new here: new paper from Arches (I cut the sheet in half so it's smaller) and it's smooth, new erasable colored pencils from Prismscolor and new Italian Gallo watercolor paints. For now, the first layer, because I'm going to work today so a few hours of sleep will come in handy. I'll see what the final effect will be. I don't remember when I painted with watercolors on smooth paper.
