DISNEY PARKS : ↳ Sally Slater at the Haunted Mansion World Premiere at Disneyland

Now how was I supposed to cosplay Sally Slater and not recreate her iconic portrait with Brutus?!

Three of the planning sheets I made designing Prism magical girls out of various established characters; the tightrope walker from the stretching portrait in Disney’s Haunted Mansion, the Sniffer from Minecraft, and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony. All of these I used my digital painting app to work out colors in the design, color picking directly from the references in some cases, and I’m honestly still in love with these designs despite how messy they may be. This is my design process, or at least a small piece of it. Making magical girls with the prism formula has helped me improve my character design skills so much.

So goes the legend of one of the loveliest of the 999 inhabitants of The Haunted Mansion attraction, where Sarah ''Sally'' Slater is depicted in a portrait in the Stretching Room. The famous painting stretches to reveal her balancing on a frayed tightrope above a patiently waiting alligator. Here she is brought to after-life as a stunning limited edition doll. Created with exacting detail, from her beautiful face and signature hairstyle to the embellishments on her iconic dress and umbrella, she is presented in a display box with a unique stretching feature. Although, it isn't a stretch to believe she'd make an exquisite addition to your collection.
