Season 3 faves

One of my favorite storylines from season 3 was Cordi and Liam's kidnapping I love how unlike when Officer Chen and Detective Lopez were kidnapped in season 2 and 4 of The Rookie they weren't found in the first episode and I love how they showed just how traumatic it was not only for Cordi and Liam but to the people who love them and it's heartbreaking to watch how devastating it was to not only the rest of the family but to Cassie, James, Trey and Ben and this was what was missing from when Chen and Lopez were kidnapped in the Rookie we didn't see the Devastation in caused to their families and for the most part the Midwilshire division behaved themselves when. It came to looking for one of their own

Compared to how Cassie as well as the kids went full on nuclear (understandable given their past traumas and Cordi's and Liam's disappearance brought up everything to the surface for both of them) Cassie broke into protective custody to talk to her previous partner Miles to see if he knew something and he did which ended up with how the Rangers found Cordi and Liam meanwhile Stella and Auggie went off on their own to speak to Shannon and her goons which ended pretty badly with Auggie getting beaten up and Stella forced to give up her Mom's mustang (which is what her Dad would've done if the situations were reversed)

As for Bonham and especially Abby they seriously broke my heart in both episodes Bonham being a rock for his wife and trying to comfort her the best he can meanwhile having faith in both of his boys to get themselves out of their situation and poor poor Abby after everything her family has been through she no longer has the emotional strength to hope that both her boys would come home alive and I wanted to hug her so badly

Cordi and Liam I love how in 3x01 Cordi had Emily's ghost to give him mental and emotional strength despite the horrors of being tortured by Sean and his goons I love his defiance which reminded me so much of Sam in the first 2 episodes of season 12 of Supernatural and while for the most part he doesn't break his situation get 1000 times worse when they being in baby brother Liam so not only does Cordi have to worry about himself he now has to worry about his baby brother and Cordi knows that Sean would have Liam killed if they don't get out of there now and they managed to escape just in time to be reunited with James and Cassie

Poor James not only having to keep his promise to Abby that he won't come to the Ranch until he had Cordi with him now he has to tell her that Liam went missing as well (i wonder how that conversation went down) then having Cassie go off on her own to talk to Miles despite him telling her to wait until she clearance and Stella going off with Auggie to talk to Shannon

Walker Episode Bracket

3x01 beat out 2x20 with a landslide victory! But how will it fare against the next episode on the list, 3x02 "Sittin' on a Rainbow"?

3x02 picks up right where 3x01 left off, with Liam and Cordell in the cage. Cordell is hit with the chilling realization that he can no longer just wait the torture out; if they can't break him, they'll break Liam. He turns down an offer to work with the captors to save his and his brother's life and starts trying to figure out a plan of escape. They do their own special version of "Get Help" and manage to escape their cage and get Julia out as well. There's a brief moment of panic from Liam when Cordell insists on staying behind to get rid of some very dangerous chemicals that their captives have but, after some gunfire and explosions, everyone makes it out alive.

Once the Rangers and the Walker family learn about Liam's disappearance (thanks to a tip from Ben), it's all hands on deck. Cassie decides that talking to Miles, her former partner, would be the best course of action since the people behind the kidnapping are most likely the people he was investigating when he went missing. James is against the idea since her previous leads didn't go anywhere, but she takes no heed to his objections. This leads to her breaking into WITSEC to talk to Miles and, while this does yield results, she's very much in hot water until she proves that the intel she got on Julia Johnson was useful. They find all the information they need at Julia's house and put together a rescue squad.

In the meantime, Stella got a "tip" from a scammer who wants $10k in exchange for information on their father. August finds out and insists on going with her to meet with these people. Unfortunately, their meetup only lands them a beating and Stella gives up their mother's Mustang to save August's life.

Various fanfic ideas for Walker that I have no real plans to fully write

Stella and Auggie get taken instead of Cordi and Liam which causes Cordi to go feral over the thought of losing his kids Liam also goes feral trying to find the kids seeing how much he adores his niece and nephew

In Defend The Ranch after Stella and Auggie save Liam's life Clint orders Trevor to kill the Walker kids Trevor doesn't and hides them in the barn however the rest of the family believe them to be dead

During the whole Grey Flag fiasco both the Walker family and Perez families are taken hostage and falsely reported to the FBI and Texas Rangers that Cordi and Cassie's families are dead while also having the LAPD/Mid Wilshire officers join in on taking down Grey Flag like having Bradford go undercover with Trey and have Bradford stumble upon Abby, Bonham, Liam and Stella and August Walker and Ben and Grandma Perez (all in different cells Abby and Bonham are in one cell Ben, Grandma Perez and Liam in another cell with Stella and Auggie having their own cell however the adults Bonham, Abby and Liam (are told that the kids are dead so not only do their older son think that they are dead they are also under the belief that their Grandbabies are dead) and Bradford manages to get Bonham and Grandma Perez out (it was too risky to get the others out) and both Bonham and Grandma Perez were not only able to reunite with Cordi and Cassie but they also told them that Abby, Liam and Ben were alive (remember they still think that the kids are dead)

In Search and Rescue while James and Cordi are hiding out after Grey Flag tried to kill them Cordi tries to get in touch with his kids however due to obvious reasons he can't and he starts to freak out however James was able to get through to DJ

In False Flag Part 2 Abby, Liam and the kids are kidnapped by Kevin to use as leverage against Cordi, Trey, Cassie and James while Bonham and Cordi are linked up

In Search and Rescue Cordi gets shot in the arm by Grey Flag and gets rushed to the ER but unknown to him and James Stella and Auggie are currently in a life and death situation and neither Cordi and James can get through to the rest of the family for several hours however because Cordi's wound wasn't to serious he gets sent back to the rental house and he starts pacing trying desperately to get through to the rest of his family but luckily the rest of his family walked through the front door

During the events of Sittin On A Rainbow Cordi and Liam are told that the rest of the family were killed not knowing that their family was alive which utterly shatters Cordi's spirit but Liam isn't as convinced and he tries his best to raise what little spirit Cordi has left and once they escape James and Cassie tell them that their family is safe

During the events of Defend The Ranch Hoyt and Cordi get arrested for the bank robbery by either the APD or the DPS Troopers and Hoyt begs the arresting officers to at least let Cordi go that this wasn't his fault or his choice but his pleas are ignored whether or not the Walker family survives is up to you

In 3x01 and 3x02 it's Liam who is kidnapped instead of Cordi and instead of using his big brother to get Liam to break Grey Flag decides to use the kids to get Liam to break meanwhile Cordi goes absolutely feral to get his baby brother and his kids back

Does it pass?

No, sadly the first part of the Season 3 premiere does not pass. Sabine and Hera exchange a line of dialogue in the cockpit of the Ghost but they are talking about the late Ughnaught Terba so it doesn’t count. 

I’m very excited to start Season 3. As per usual, this is a very strong opener. I love how we are shown straight away how powerful Ezra has become. The scene with him using the Force to control the pilot of the walker remains one of the darker moments of the series. 

The animation is much more polished in these last two seasons as well. I love the redesigns for Ezra, Kanan, and Sabine. You can also tell there is a little more detail on the rest of the crew. 

Of course, Thrawn is finally here, but I’m glad to finally get Pryce as well. She’s another underrated and despicable Imperial character. 

Also Bendu is more awesome every time I rewatch.
