Jervis was a chemistry teacher for the local college in Gotham; his wife, Alice, was the one with the Alice in Wonderland obsession. He wanted to understand her references, so he read the stories, and watched the movies with her. They had that together, and she would say that he looked like the Mad Hatter, and it would become a nickname she would call him. One day, Jervis comes home from work to find out that she's been cheating on him with his own co-worker... He lost his mind, unfortunately, and after bludgeoning them both to death with a croquette mallet he'd bought for Alice's upcoming birthday, he went missing, only reappearing to cause a mass panic in the storybook lane section of Gotham City Park. After that he's been in and out of Arkham for years...

Ben Drowned is hands-down one of the funniest creepypastas ever because like. it singlehandedly cemented the setup of "woah guys i found this N64 game at a garage sale and it's HAUNTED!!!!" as a cliche. this guy named Jadusable kept posting videos showing his copy of Majora's Mask with fucked up glitches, like Link being constantly on fire and screaming, or having his upper body rotated 90 degrees, or having NPCs say ominous shit to him, etc. you really need to watch the original video for the full experience (assuming you havent already), but if you haven't, at least watch this one starting around 2:30:

so Jadusable posts the "final" update to his story and his forum account goes dark. in the canon of his creepypasta, he's straight up dead (killed by the haunted game cartridge), and he seems to be sticking to it by not posting anything. theories ran wild - was it an elaborate scam? could it have all been true?

years later, on April 1st 2012, with no announcement or fanfare, Jadusable posts the following video, "king kong.wmv", following the naming scheme of his previous videos. skip to 1:30ish.

Backstory... loading... loading... Jackson Caard Napier... Profile...: He used to be a robotics engineer for Wayne Tech, but ended up leaving to work on personal stuff. The thing was, he always wanted to be a comedian, but he has always had terrible social skills and the idea of being in front of a live audience sounded horrifying. So, he did the next best thing! He made a robot of himself to do it for him... It works! The robot is made perfectly and looks amazing. He starts building a following as a robotic comedian and starts getting gigs and stuff. And during this entire time, he gets obsessed with his robot, he loves it and it's everything to him. He gets really really popular !! And... then it breaks. And he can't, for the life of him, fix it. Days go by, gigs are being canceled and at this point he's hemorrhaging money. With all that he's spent on tv slots, props, actors to go along with certain things, editing for videos and such, he's growing more and more desperate.

Eventually he falls into a terrible depression, and in a desperate attempt to calm himself down, he gets inside the robot because it was made almost sorta like a costume. He stayed in there for hours, trying to calm down and just letting himself cry and think of a way to fix shit. And then he goes to leave. He's stuck. He's not injured, he's just. stuck inside. And he dies there, after about 5 days of not being able to move or eat or drink. And somehow the robot is acting weird now...
