"Henry Winter would've loved the notes app" No. Henry Winter didn't and will never love anything modern. He uses a fountain pen and isn't bothered by the ink, he even reads under candle light - for christ's sake, he uses and is obsessed with Latin, which is by the way, a dead language.

what about satoru who secretly and slowly turns you into a carbon copy of his best friend, suguru. his best friend that he fell in love with, still in love with. his best friend that was his first and last true love.
it started with him getting you into the foods that suguru liked and loved— such as rooibos tea. even though you have a sweet tooth just like him, he insists that you only add one sugar cube instead of three. it's strange for him to say that when you just watched him add four sugar cubes to his own cup, but he reasons that it'll taste better with just one.
you believed him.
you're also a bit of a picky eater and it was hard to get you into eating new foods, but satoru was persistent and it eventually worked out.
the hardest part of changing you was your appearance. he thinks you're adorable and beautiful, but the fact that you don't look like his ‶one and only″ irks him. you have suguru's mannerisms, interests, and favorite foods, but you don't look like him at all. and satoru will do everything he can to change that.
if you have curly hair then he'll try to convince you to straighten it, he doesn't care if you love your natural hair. if you really love him, then you'll do what he wants, right? it took months and several arguments, before you finally obliged his wishes with a heavy, reluctant heart.
when you meet shoko again after a few months, her heart sank at the sight of you.
the way you moved, the way you spoke, the way you ate, the way you dressed, your interests, and your appearance were different. other than your face, skin color, and height, you look exactly like suguru. you even have his signature hair bun. she spoke to satoru about this and he acted clueless, saying that it was your decision and he contributed nothing to your transformation; only gave you his love and support.
little did satoru know, you were completely aware of his plans. ever since you heard him mumble suguru's name that one night while he was sleeping, you knew he was still in love with him and knew that this was bound to happen. even before your relationship, it was obvious that his feelings for his best friend never left. you just didn't expect for him to go this far. if it were another person, they'd immediately leave, but you can't.
you love him too much to make him experience another heartbreak. (would it really break him when he's not in love with you at all?)
it breaks your heart to know that every time he looks at you with that smile—the one that makes his eyes crinkle—he’s not really looking at you. he’s looking at the man he fell in love with years ago— the man he will always love, even in death.

grabs your face with both my hands. you guys understand that deconstruction of the binary means that the experience of one group does not automatically indicate the reverse experience of another group, right? like. if something happens to trans men it does not mean trans women experience the same but opposite. they are two separate groups who do not intrinsically replicate the experience of cis people. and nonbinary folks can have experiences that both and neither trans men and women have happen to them. the binary is false and so are all implications of it. tell me you understand this.

Look we can talk all day about why the Rebels episode “The Honorable Ones” is amazing but honestly my absolute favorite moment of all of it is when Zeb is going to go pick up the glowing rock and Kallus sounds like a terrified child asking him where he’s going and the voice acting in that moment is award-level brilliant and it’s the most real that man has ever been or sounded up to that point and it just completely does things to me idk

Do you think Veritas Ratio, at any point in his adult life, has felt loved? It's a silly question, at least it may seem - because logistically, he knows he is. He has living and breathing parents he calls on the phone, colleagues who would assuredly miss him and do when he's off on missions, and students who lament the absence of his classes when they graduate. Indeed, he knows for certain that he is loved. However, knowing and believing have been proven to not be mutually exclusive states.
It is one thing to be loved for your altruistic philanthropy, or your intelligence, wit, and brevity. It's one thing to be applauded and praised for your good works and good name, and make no mistake that recognition is still a little warming - Ratio is only human, thus capable of embodying pride - but it's not quite the same. Those people still bristle when Ratio, blunt as ever because that's just how he is, makes a scathing comment that they know is correct. They still give him a wide path in the halls of the space station whenever he visits because, despite making every effort to prove the opposite, they still view him as miles above them (like a cold and logistical god amongst men.) It's more akin to idolization and bordering on worship at times.
That is not the same as being known and beloved.
It's not the same as having a close someone who sees the human in you. It's not the same as having someone who plays into the facade you put up in public because they understand what that mask means to you, and maybe they are the same. It's nowhere close to not having to spell out everything you say because someone else has taken the time to learn your language, and has plenty of honeyed words for the both of you. It's not warm hands in yours or even a gentle pat on the shoulder (It's not cotton candy eyes that have a stupid lovestruck stare to them that you can't shake off)
When you're standing on a pedestal built by those around you, it's hard to feel loved when everyone below worships you instead. Worship you never asked for. And maybe the only true way for someone like that to feel loved is by someone who understands the nature of assumptions and publicity.

Radioapple snippet or trope or hc idk
Alastor is known for his voice; his radio show, him hosting, his accent and his way with words; all with its deadly charm, his voice is the most prominent feature.
Lucifer is known for his beauty; he's the most beautiful angel in creation, he was created with beauty and radiance in mind, his attractive face is very much what people first see.
Lucifer's heart melts at Alastor's face, his looks. His adorable ears. His sharp eyes, with its alluring ever present eyeshadow, revealing so much more than the demon would have liked. His sharp features, high cheekbones. Strong shoulders. His dangerous, menacing smile, that really shouldn't look as attractive as it did. Alastor always joked he had a face made for radio. Lucifer thinks he could pour all his energy into sculpting his visage in stone, and it would never do him justice.
Alastor falls in love with Lucifer's voice. His songs. The way it rises to meet those high notes in powerful ballad. Or when it falls so deeply that it sends shivers up his spine. The way his voice ripples and layers in something wholly inhuman whenever his demonic-angelic side bursts through the surface. The way each note caresses his ears, encompasses his mind like it was a drug, and he was nothing but a lowly addict. Lucifer says Charlie took after her mother when it came to her skill of song. Alastor never claimed to be a religious man, but he's now never been more puzzled, wondering why anyone would ever dream of hearing an angelic chorus, when the only voice worth hearing is in Hell.

Not to sound insane but I cannot stop thinking about the inherent tragedy of the scene between Kerry and Marcia. How Kerry is so obviously a victim. So clearly exploited. And yet every little part of the elite world Marcia exists in, every cog of the life she lives, requires cruelty of her in order to survive in it. She is an outsider by sheer virtue of who she is, constantly on the precipice of losing power, of being the exploited. And w Logan gone she can’t even take him down w her. She must remain the widowed wife. Even a shred of kindness to Kerry would legitimize her claim to Logan and would threaten Marcia’s very existence as it stands. It could not have happened any other way. :^/

I just noticed, in your HHStargazers AU no one has pupils - except for Alastor and, if she's canon, Carmilla. Does that mean slit pupils are a sign of a demon in disguise?
Good eye! 👈👈👀 (Pun unintended.) Though I don't really plan for this trait to be repeatedly shared amongst the disguised demons. Mostly to not limit my designs to an obvious tell. But the slit pupils were indeed intentional flaws I added in for those two in particular. Because according to MY headcanon, both angels and demons are beings beyond human comprehension. Thus, it's only to be expected that even when they TRY to fit in, they'll be unable to keep EVERY aspect of their uncanny nature concealed. At best, they're imperfect imitations of what "normal" should be. It just so happens that in my AU, angels have a much easier time concealing most of their little quirks and oddities away than the sinners for my own reasons and as for WHY no one ever grew suspicious of the eye thing, it's because Charlie's curiosity could be easily curved. While for Lucius to point this out, he'll have to admit that he's been staring at Alastor's eyes a lot whenever he gets close enough to drown in the depths of his gaze and- EHEM!!! Which he's NEVER done, mind you! AhahaHAH- What slit pupils??? Never noticed those before. Nuh-uh. NO siree. NOPE! Lucius is normally so, SO normal about Alastors VERY much normal eyes in a TOTALLY normal amount of normal. A-ANYWAAAYS!!! Lucius would also be a hypocrite if he was bothered by them considering his own occupation and the people he's usually surrounded by (yet to be revealed). As for the other humans, Alastor doesn't care enough about their opinions for it to be a threat to him and people often just avoid the guy unnerving them with his creepy ass stare. So it's all good! Hope you like these bonus fun facts! 'Cause I have a feeling I left you with just as much questions as answers, but that's the fun of an ongoing story, yeah? Stay tuned~! 😉✨️ -Bubbly💙
