regardless of S2 not being (equally) gifted with freshness and splendor as was the case with S1, i like the broader view on all the characters. you can only dive deeper into an entire continent in peril if you invest time and episodes aside of spotlight scenes and i love the slow burn drama with these 2. one thing that i still can't put my head around is the fact that elves are depicted mostly as naive fools. yes there is Galadriel, her brainy buddy and some generals of whatever armies they send to fight but 90% of the elves seem so naive and dumb that they wouldn't recognize the pure evil if it punches them in the face. of course i understand the narrative approach and enjoyed the spooky mind trick in 2x06. nothing is perfect, especially not a tv show partly based on movies that partly took tons of freedoms and changes from the book material. i just hope that some sanity returns to the Eregion people and they can escape before blonde dude and black hair dude turn all into bloody sauce.

Prey (2022)

So yesterday I watched Prey (2022). It's out on DVD and I rented it from the library. I really enjoyed it! I'd go as far as to say it's as good as the original from 1987. It's also really, REALLY, nice to have Native Americans as the focus. I didn't have the time to watch the Comanche dub, but I do plan on watching this movie again.
