omegaverse wincest is pretty much canon actually because the plot of the show is quite literally alpha!dean wanting to claim his fated one but forbidden omega!sam who he imprinted on during their childhood

how you people watch supernatural and go "oh! dean is such boyfriend material!!" is genuinely unfathomable. dean who uses people as dog food for the monster of the week when sam is in danger? dean who didn't have an issue leaving his gf and her son of his one year live in relationship for sam? dean who has thrown out his "bestfriend" out of the bunker when he was vulnerable just so sam is fine?

but do you know who can find dean as boyfriend material? sam. the guy who is at the receiving end of dean's rare niceties. maybe sam can call dean his possessive - all encompassing loving - abusive boyfriend.

I feel like it's implied, but if Lucifer made alpha Sam an omega and gave him a womb in the cage, and left him like that, Sam would hate himself soooo much; he'd be convinced he came back reprehensibly wrong. He'd try everything to go back to the way he was, because until then, he's walking proof that his time in the cage happened, and even if he can't access those memories, he's dirty, touched, unclean (and who could ever want him like that). And while stuck in that haze, he'd never ever notice just how different Dean's being. Sure, he's being a bit more protective, maybe an inch too possessive, but Sam was too when Dean first came back. They went through something terrible, went without each other for so long, and things will go back to normal eventually; he'll be back to normal eventually, all he has to do is find a cure.

Sam would be writhing around in pain trying to figure out how to cope with his heats, and he'd never register the fact that Dean's grip on him has never been so tight before, only how good it feels, only how he wants more of it. And when Dean offers up his knot, maybe a little too quickly, a little too eager, sure Sam will feel like shit, but Dean would fuck him so good that that guilty feeling is forgotten all together.

john fucking up deans brain so bad that he seeks him in every man he finds, latching onto the way they bark out orders, or arrange their notes, or the way their tongue curls around whiskey (the one his dad used to drink the most), or how they bite his lip in the heat of the moment, or how they turn him away so that they can imagine someone else.

dean noting distantly that sam kisses like john, because dean taught him how to kiss, and dean learned by watching (tasting) john. every kiss from his brother is like a breath of his father's, bringing his memory back to life. it wasn't a surprise when sam turned dean around, right after he lost jess. dean was used to being the lost blonde of the season, greedily taking whatever touches he could get. after all, turnabout is fair play.

staring off into the distance while thinking of alpha dean finding out his beta little brother is actually an omega, when sam unexpectedly goes into heat (the suppressants he'd been using almost constantly ever since he presented stopped working after reuniting with his brother and spending too much time around him).

dean wants to freak out but he gotta make sure sam's somewhere safe asap. once they get to a motel, dean asks sam if there's anything he needs before he leaves (obviously dean's struggling with this decision, leaving sam to go through a heat alone, an omega, sam is an omega, what the hell; and it's his baby brother, jesus, what other choice does he have but leave?), and sam is getting to the point of being delirious, so he blurts out "your shirt, dean. anything that smells like you".

they don't need to say another word, they both know. dean hauls ass before he can do something unbrotherly.

I used to think Destiel was as extreme in the show as it was extreme online, but it's not. It's all exaggerated. I watched the show and I'm honestly inclined to believe that most people who love Destiel didn't.

Yes, Castiel loves Dean, but Castiel ever being more than a "brother" to Dean? Never. Even without glasses, it's so clear by how Dean treats Castiel that Dean just doesn't treasure their bond as much as Castiel does. In the beginning, Castiel was a tool in their dynamic and it's STILL the core of their dynamic. Dean holds the leash that Castiel is on but not with enthusiasm.

Dean will never see wrong in his own actions and will only ever point out the wrong in Castiel’s actions. Castiel has made many mistakes but so has Dean and even so, Castiel has to repent for those as well. He can absolutely see Castiel as someone dear to him, but it's very clear that the devotion and adoration is completely one-sided.

If it really came down to it, Dean would sacrifice Castiel, especially for his brother. Dean has never been jealous or possessive of Castiel in the romantic or friendly way - only with the intent to hurt, use, or gaslight.

Again, there may be sweet interactions in the show, but just because Dean is nice sometimes doesn't mean that they're a dynamic duo because they're a toxic duo. A very overrated one at that and the spices are bland.

the reason why sam and dean’s unhealthy dynamic doesn’t need to be fixed is because they both (unconsciously) crave power imbalance but for completely different reasons

dean didn’t have much power when he was younger since john took his control away from him. which is why he seeks power/control via hunting, violence and his relationship with sam. dean’s repressed sadistic tendencies, his love for hunting, his enjoyment of torturing & killing souls in hell come from his repressed need to be in control

and sam, as jared said, wants to restrain his physical power. not only because he doesn’t feel comfortable in his body, being too big and intimidating on the outside but feeling smaller and craving safety on the inside. but also because of his guilt and wanting to prove to himself, and to dean, that he’s good. that dean can trust him. it makes him seek comfort in being punished, in being restrained and feeling smaller than he is, but dean is the only person who can give him what he needs because dean is also the only person sam trusts and submits to. as twisted as it may be, but dean’s control over him is the only thing that gives him a feeling of safety he’s always craved

they complement each other in this fucked up way, that’s why their dynamic cannot exist without a certain amount of power imbalance

I've been happy to participate in the Now It's Perfect Fest for 4 years running. I'll never get enough of Sam and Dean happy in heaven fics! Thanks to @digitalmeowmix for hosting the fest again this year.

I thought I'd link to my new fic and my previous contributions so they are all in one spot. These are all short wincest fics with canon-levels of angst and happy endings.

2021: One Sweet Day: Dean would always be worth an eternity of waiting.

2022: Before Forever: If Heaven is perfect, then why does Sam feel like he’s missing the most important piece?

The display put on for them by heaven was rather spectacular. The bright greens and blues danced across the night sky above them and Baby. Sam looked over at Dean with love, who was fully absorbed in the magnificent display. His green eyes reflecting the undulating brighter green made him look ethereally beautiful. Northern Lights were something neither of them managed to get a chance to see, while alive. So, it was just about perfect to have this moment. He wrapped his hand around Dean's and turned his gaze upward again as they enjoyed another day of their happily ever afterlife in heaven.
