Bucket List Item #5

The display put on for them by heaven was rather spectacular. The bright greens and blues danced across the night sky above them and Baby. Sam looked over at Dean with love, who was fully absorbed in the magnificent display. His green eyes reflecting the undulating brighter green made him look ethereally beautiful. Northern Lights were something neither of them managed to get a chance to see, while alive. So, it was just about perfect to have this moment. He wrapped his hand around Dean's and turned his gaze upward again as they enjoyed another day of their happily ever afterlife in heaven.

Or that one photo Sam has folded and always carries around in his wallet. And every time something reminds him of Dean, he will take it out and stroke his fingers over his big brother and some tears will run down his face. And when he's done crying, he will fold the photograph again and carry it around until the next time he feels Dean's absence.

The next time is always too soon, way too soon. Even when Sam is an old man and the photograph is all faded and wrinkled from the folding and unfolding, Sam never stops feeling his brother's absence.

(This got more angsty than I intended. I'm sorry. Anyway, this drawing took me way longer than I wanted because I've had so little free time lately ;;)
