would it be possible to allow both a primary blog and its secondary blogs to have the same blocked users list/share a blocked list? like if i create a secondary blog for a specific thing, i naturally wouldnt/dont want people ive already blocked to interact with that blog either, but re-blocking every single user, when some people have hundreds or thousands of people that they have blocked (like me) is nigh impossible/kind of a cruel thing to ask when the same person would clearly have the same people blocked on that blog too.

like could the blocked users list be assigned to all blogs under the email, rather than to individual blogs regardless of secondary status? like removing an invisible wall and just letting the secondary blog[s] use the main blog's blocked list instead of its own separate one.

or would implementing this somehow hit rate limits or something? (which is i think why twitter's old 'import blocklist' feature shut down years ago and why i wouldnt ask for that feature on here, as cool as it would be.) in which case would it be possible for new blocks going *Forward* to be shared across same-email blogs instead since the secondary blogs wouldnt have to be hit with the weight of a sudden influx of past block requests and it would be able to happen gradually as the person blocks new users from hereon one by one in real time? (sorry that this is wordy!)

This is a not-uncommon question that we receive at @wip. One of Tumblr’s oldest core principles is that we try not to reveal who owns what blogs—or the relationships between primary and secondary blogs.

So, blocking someone from all your blogs could easily reveal that the same person owns different blogs in some scenarios that can be easy to game. For the longest time, we haven’t wanted to change this principle—but we are rethinking it in some areas, like Communities. We may rethink it everywhere, based on feedback like this, but can’t say any more than that right now. If anything changes, you’ll find out here or at @changes.

alright, friends, i might say something you don't like but i think it's important. not just to defend a character, but because i think this is literally making people's experience and relationship with this game worse.

give jimmy like two seconds to exist.

by hating jimmy so much you refuse to even say his name, and judge real, living people for liking him, you are cheapening your experience by boiling down the main character to the most ~yuckiest~ moments. and, by not making a seperate space for hating on him, you are drowning out the voices of people who actually have nuanced things to say about his character. you know, the skilled writers and artists that feed the fandom? limitation is what kills fandoms, you have to know that.

is jimmy a good person? no. is he a good captain/companion/worker? Absolutely Not! he crumbles like dust under any pressure and he immediately shifts blame off of himself, he is an actively harmful individual and it's right to be upset by his actions. i literally had to stop myself from saying "man FUCK jimmy." multiple times because i didn't want to spoil how terrible he got to my friends when i showed the game to them.

but you have to understand; people are more than their actions. thats part of the entire point of the game. thats why its so abstract. you are meant to think about the nuances of their situation.

we can agree that anya was way more as a woman than what happened to her and what she did as a result of it, right? that despite her best efforts, she was a victim of circumstance, and she deserves to be understood and analyzed fully?

then why, seeing a fictional man who has done immoral things, are you so disgusted you won't even draw, write or discuss him outside of hate? what is that doing for you, to ignore literally the main character of the game because of his actions?

now, this is not to say people can't hate jimmy. i understand it! as someone who has been a victim of s/a and abuse, i understand if you hate him and are even triggered by him to the point of avoiding mention of him. (but...why are you in this fandom? ((not aggressive im genuinely asking)))

you can feel however you want about any character, my goal is not to control people. but i thought it was common knowledge to not hatepost about someone in their tag? over actual insight into his character and, you know, the main themes of the game?

jimmy is a man who has struggled his whole life. both him and curly confirm that in the game. he's unable to control his emotional outbursts, and he likely had no idea what to expect from being in fucking SPACE for over a year with people he probably didn't even know before that trip. and pony express and their corporate safety corner cutting certainly didnt help, did it?

for one reason or another, he most likely was never actually taught how to manage his emotions. that's just how it is sometimes, growing up as a man. and it would make sense if he was forced to deal with everything himself, no? he always complains, but he still says he'll handle it. because that's what he's always had to do. and this is just the start of what i could say about what made him the way that he is.

he's a victim too, not only of his own actions.

surprise surprise, people who do awful things can also be victims.

honestly, this entire situation baffles me. how are you going to avoid one of the main characters of the game, let alone the one you play as ninety percent of the time? mind you, curly is also guilty, and i am happy to see at least some people giving him space for nuance. because he is also a victim!!! why is it so impossible to see jimmy as nuanced, when literally every other character also has incredible depth to them??

you're tarnishing and spitting on the beautiful writing of this game just because one character is too icky for you to feel comfortable thinking about for too long. it's horror, you absolute morons. it's supposed to make you uncomfortable.

if you hate jimmy, i dont blame you. but please, please, make your own space for it. be kind to people who want to explore jimmy and the darker themes, and like him for what his character represents. this is a video game fandom, not a witch hunt. and please, learn some fandom etiquette while you're at it, okay? okay. thank you

You know i have the opposite opinion, as in i like character scott (mostly my own vision of him) and dont rlly vibe w content creator scott

Personally mostly cus i dont like- yeah no i just dont fw him. I dont hate him i just dont like his humor or storytelling in lore heavier smps like say empires? Specially in empires 1 like the frozen stuff idk. That and some social media posts, other stuff I hear. Im very picky with cc's i watch, and he's one of those that I LOVE from a different pov, but i couldnt handle him as a main watch.

And no, its not just "internalized homophobia" like everyone claims, it can just be. Hey, people can dislike a person or a character for their own reasons or for no reason at all too. I do think longass hate posts are a bit much? and should be tagged accordingly as smajor hate rather than his main fan tag, cus ofc fans dont wanna see that. But idk i just- yeah

The only c!scott i dont like is dl scott cus he reminds me of an abusive ex of mine, but thats why i just try and avoid talking abt dl much at all unless necessary

I think also some people dont like how c!scott treats others or is ""manipulative"", but i just think he's smart. Talkin ur way out of fights on a death game is a skill i wish i had, im both bad at the game and the social game lmao. But uh yeah no, i personally think stuff like "caring more about gem than pearl in wl" is flawed, like one person said, he cares about pearl and knows gem can be a big threat, plus pearl has been dying almost every session, he just wants to keep his allies safe

Sooooo, I'm legitimately trying to understand why people are always so rude to Scott in fandom, Umm, am I missing something? Are we watching the same series lol. I’m glad with the art and for the amount of pages I made in such a relatively short time span -w- page 5 was super fun to work on. Honestly I think a lot of people who have never made a gif for tumblr don't get that it does actually take time and effort, its not just rip it from a video and post it- you have to download the video, in my case I have a video player installed that grabs continuous caps, figure out what parts you need, you have to open those in photoshop or gimp, depending on where you got photoshop you might be paying for it every month and then on top of that is actually sizing, cropping, colouring, sharpening, adding text, etc. etc. like it is something that takes time and effort for which the only real reward is creating something that makes you happy and hopefully people reblog it with a nice or funny tag, so maybe keep that in mind the next time you think gif makers are being mean or unfair for being upset about reposts. It is its own little artform that is fairly unique to this website, and that's a big aspect of why I have always loved tumblr, if all the gifmakers stopped posting things would be a lot more boring around here.

Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

you reveal her identity to ser cautherine and howe's soldiers, defeating the entire purpose of her disguise and also ignoring what she told you literally one minute before about how they can't know she's escaping with you - thereby betraying her first

you ignore her completely in denerim after she asks you to come talk to her, and only show up to the landsmeet

you bring up loghain's fate, and when she tells you that she would rather him be spared if possible, you tell her to her face that her father has to die
