"IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE" As someone who's been playing TWST since march and stopped going out of my way to be spoilerfree after I got stuck at Overblott!Jamil? That's honestly been one of my favorite things about it - seeing something in fanart or a comment you think is just fans joking, only for it to be canon. "The economy!", "May I also throw a tantrum?", Malleus' gargoyle thing, and... everything about Rook being my top examples.

there's a whole bit in Trey's platinum birthday card where he goes on about how he became increasingly obsessed with mustard for like a week straight until the other students held an intervention. how are you supposed to talk about this. how can you bring up something like Trey's descent into mustard obsession to the point that the other characters are worried for him without it sounding like the most obvious lolrandom "he mentioned it once and now fandom acts like he puts mustard in everything" joke. also, how can I slip this into every Twst post from now on, because I need everyone in the world to know that this is a real canon fact about Trey "I'm just an average normal guy (who sticks my hands into people's mouths and owns 20 toothbrushes and used to eat flowers off the side of the road)" Clover.

for bonus points, 1) the punchline is that he still doesn't even like mustard that much, 2) he's saying all of this to Leona, and 3) Leona is actually kind of invested in Trey's mustard story for some reason, which is the most unbelievable part of all of this to be honest. (then Trey gets distracted by a painting of the Cheshire Cat and Leona takes the opportunity to powerwalk away to freedom before they can start talking about dijon versus spicy brown or whatever and extend this bit even longer)

Hi! With your stargazers au, what radio symbols do you use with Alastor's powers? What do those symbols mean and is there some special thought behind choices in symbols?

Keen eye! They're actually various electrical symbols for radio stations and are NOT VOODOO at all. As I'm not a practitioner of the Vaudoux religion, I didn't feel qualified enough to represent their practices all willy nilly. Though Alastor is still very much an actual Creole Vodouisant who lived in New Orleans Louisiana in my #HHStargazersAU! This design choice for his magic came to mind when I realized that since I couldn't use the more natural voodoo deer side of him, I could just shift focus to his more electronic radio hosting aspect. Which actually had symbolisms of their own! Be it his radio symbols or sound waves. Pictograms that were likely used on signs, books, or instructions, and such. That's how his green spells came to be in my story and they're usually just the general symbols for radio! ^v^

‼️ART TRIGGER WARNING: Mild body horror/gore

Sooooo I kinda unexpectedly deviated from what I would consider my normal art preferences here. Mostly because I’ve seen a lot of talented artists drawing their own renditions of menacing Puzzles fanart where he goes fully insane and whatnot. I wanted to also contribute to that trend somehow…although it’s slightly out of my usual comfort zone << especially with his recent design change of loosing his whole lower body lol. Adapting that into my art was an interesting experimental challenge

Here is my own take on Puzzles falling apart! Quite literally! I still wanted to add a bit of empathy in here for him tho— because I’m going to be so distraught if WOTFI 2024 is his resignation from the spotlight for good. His final bow on stage if you will; the grand finale of his performance before he departs in death (MAN I SURE HOPE HE DOESN’T DIE BUT THE FANDOM SPECULATIONS AND PARANOIA ARE GETTING TO MY HEAD. And it just seems like the narrative progression is leaning that way). Well not matter what happens to him this upcoming Saturday…this tragic TV guy has impacted me in unexpected ways and I’m just so glad we got to spend and entire year with his character. And he’s sure not gonna disappear from my art anytime soon. Hopefully I won’t be maiming him ever again after this though jksjsksp he’s suffered enough angst for now <3

schrsto au (shorthand name) takes place ehhhhh about a year or so after the defeat of the king. everyone's in post game, more or less! the four saviors (mira, odile, siffrin, and bonnie), alongside nille and amber (a cat) have been traveling vaugarde for awhile now, and return to dormont at the anniversary of The End Of The End Of The World to regroup and discuss their next plans- whether theyll continue traveling together, split up for the time being, where they should go, etc etc you get itttttt

of course, once they arrive in dormont, things are going great! foooor about. two days. then things start getting weird. the group gets oddly tense and anxious, weird things are happening around town (have been happening since they left a year ago, apparently), and now nille's friends are behaving strangely.

siffrin's been zoning out more often and for longer stretches, mira's getting paranoid, bonnie refuses to set foot in the house, and odile of all people is having fairly frequent nightmares. nille- the only one unaffected by this (besides the cat)- decides to see if she can do something to help.

in her scouring for solutions, however, she manages to accidentally dig up something that should probably have been left buried. things proceed to spiral out of control from there.

extra little notes: - bonnie is almost always wearing the cape. they like it because its cozy and it makes them look like frin and belle! - siffrin's a bit more distant after they beat the king. it's not a severe change in behavior, but it's notable. he seems to be more nightmare and hallucination prone, and will sometimes zone out for short periods. It's Probably Fine. - amber was a stray they found upon revisiting jouvente. her collar led to a locked, empty apartment and the group came to the conclusion that her owner abandoned her while trying to flee the curse. bonnie proceeded to beg their sister and odile to let them keep her. - when it didnt work initially, mirabelle and siffrin chipped in their thoughts. and by chipping in their thoughts i mean siffrin bombarded them with nonstop cat puns until they gave. - nille and siffrin get along like a house on fucking fire. it's deeply concerning for everyone else. theyre banned from going on adventures alone together. they do it anyways. - mirabelle's just started to properly unpack her situation with attraction, with the help of siffrin of course. it's been going far slower, but growth is a process ya know? - odile had read the familytale she borrowed front to back 3 times by the time they left dormont initially. it's been returned, but now shes on the hunt for a new one. - nille had a crush on mirabelle for awhile, which petered out after mira came out to the group. now she has one on odile. shes being so normal about it. - the group has been tutoring bonnie collectively so they dont miss out on their education. which is to say its mostly odile tutoring them and the others being wildly unhelpful. - nille and bonnie are amber's favorites. siffrin is her least favorite. (lmao)

wolfstar divorce that coincides with the ineffable divorce, and they're all in the market for new boyfriends to shove in their exes' faces, so crowley starts dating remus and aziraphale starts dating sirius. hijinks ensue.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. This is delicious and I am rubbing my lil hands together in glee. Here we gooooooooooooooooooooo.

Can you imagine. Can you imagine how horrible and miserable this is for everyone involved???

First of all, Remus is not a hedonist. Crowley pulls out all the stops, wines and dines him, and he's sitting there, waiting for this sandy-haired man in a soft cardigan to take that first sinful bite of food..........and there's no moan??? Remus doesn't close his eyes and make filthy noises around the fork??? He doesn't linger over wine and dessert??? He's just very perfunctory about the whole thing--eating's just something you do to stay alive, it's not something you do for enjoyment. Crowley is very upset not to get new wanking material out of this.

Meanwhile, Remus is expecting a badass and instead he gets.....demonic disaster Anthony J. Crowley. He drives a cool car, sure, but it's not a flying motorbike. And are those fake bullet hole decals on his window???? Oh my god what a loser. He's got a tiny snake tattoo on his face but that's it??? Where's the punk?

Sirius is also suffering. He found himself a nice soft mild-mannered bookseller who at first seemed like the perfect rebound boyfriend, but actually he's driving Sirius insane. He keeps getting himself into Situations and expecting Sirius to bail him out of them, and Sirius is Annoyed. And he keeps Sirius up until the wee hours of the morning wittering on about Oscar Wilde and Leonardo da Vinci like he knew them. Sirius misses his unhinged, feral boyfriend who was down to murder someone in front of three thirteen-year-olds at the drop of a hat.

The sex is excellent, though. Aziraphale is something else in bed, that's for sure.

Meanwhile, Aziraphale is missing his demon terribly. Sure, Sirius is tall dark and handsome, but he's actually a bad boy and not a loser demon masquerading as a bad boy. And that motorbike of his! Ugh, it's the worst. Aziraphale suggests going to the Ritz or to the theater, and Sirius promptly says he won't be caught dead doing anything posh like his dear mother would have. He also keeps playing terrible bee-bop around the shop.

Everyone's miserable and no one is having a good time. Adam, Warlock, and Harry need to team up to break up their disaster godfathers and get everyone back with their correct partners.

rereading warrior cats in 2024 (almost 2025) is such an experience. I haven’t read these books in YEARS. I was like. 9-10 when I read them the first time. that was a decade ago. crazy.

anyway here are some of my thoughts so far (in no particular order) after finishing the first book:

- why did all of my friends think Firepaw was a boring protagonist. I never understood why they didn’t like him. I still don’t. I love that silly little guy he’s so funny and sweet and charming and I love Firepaw

- YELLOWFANG IS SUCH A GREAT CHARACTER?? like I remember liking her a lot as a kid but like. not a lot a lot. I just thought she was neat. but now????? and her relationship with Firepaw,,,??? auguhhhh

- I still stand by Bluestar. I love Bluestar. I support women’s wrongs /j fr though I have no idea how the fandom feels about her now but I loved her and still love her.

- poor Ravenpaw. I felt bad for the dude before but man. Poor Ravenpaw.

- what the heck was the deal with Spottedleaf. I’m sorry (I’m not) - why is she. like that. why was Firepaw so obsessed with her. The spoke like 3 times????? all he ever says is that she’s “nice” and “smells sweet”?????? bro what

- Greypaw is chill. I’ve never had super strong opinions on him one way or another tbh. homie is there.

- not really a thought but I miss Cinderpaw. I think she was vaguely mentioned in this book but she was my favorite I can’t wait to meet her again

- also Bracken?? fur?? Brackenfur. I think. I remember really really liking a cat named Brakenfur. were they siblings?? I do not remember in the slightest. I feel like they might have been.

- honestly the writing quality is better than I was expecting. very pleasantly surprised.
