Back already, lovelies! The zoo was great; I was apprehensive at the start as I'd never been before but getting there and back was a breeze, took a lot of photos too but all the animals were much brighter and more beautiful in person bc my phone is old and shitty so enjoy! ~

Could it be? That the famous Batman was indulging the Riddler of all people with a riddle of his very own?? Such an idea should have been most offensive to a man like Edward who prided himself on being the one to ask questions but the chance to play with the vigilante - of his own volition no less, wasn't something he was going to pass up anytime soon. "What has two legs? I see you've come to your senses in coming to the right person! The answer is... I suppose a man would be too obvious now, and if you were looking for someone, you'd have much more thuggish ways of extracting an answer from me. No, it can't be a man, but then... what could it be? What could it be??" Bipeds came to mind, usually the featherless sort but a man seemed far too obvious an answer. Edward wracked his brains, already too invested in his little game with the Dark Knight to throw in the towel but... he just. Couldn't. Think. Of the answer! "Kangaroos?" No, they hopped. "Penguins!" No, definitely not that one. Besides, the only Penguin around was skulking in the Iceberg Lounge and if Batman had business with Cobblepot, surely he'd just go there. Edward is already growing frustrated but he continues spouting off answers, each worse than the last.

"Half a dog? Oh come on, just tell me the answer already!!"

I am unsure if you're familiar with the Hannibal series, but Will Graham has quite the sharp intellect. My question is - would the Riddler get excited and get a kick out of someone that's cracking his riddles - or become annoyed and frustrated he hasn't died yet. Thanks for taking the time to send a message (and a very lovely one at that too, I'm quite enjoying your writing too even though I know little about the Hanniball series, sadly!) This is a very good question you've got because honestly? The answer can vary a LOT, mainly depending on Eddie's mood that day but also a lot in how Will engages with his riddles and traps. Not a lot of people are able to handle what Edward throws at them. They might be lucky here and there but it's clear when it's down to luck and not skill. Somebody who has the smarts and know-how to deal with his riddles? That can result in either rage, the sort of 'You weren't supposed to survive that' fury as our dear old Eddie is a huge narcissist, like you must have cheated, there's no way you could have won so easily! But the other side of the stick? He'll get fixated, because believe it or not, he's found somebody new to play with and wants to find out just how smart you really are, Will. Seriously. It gets tiring watching morons fall for the same old traps time and again, or dealing with the likes of Batman who surely cheats and all he's going to get from this exchange is a punch to the face, but a new playmate? Is just the thing to spice up dull periods as he ponders his next deeds. He's a tempermental man who can easily go either way in this situation, probably more annoyed if he's got things to focus on already but he'll never say no to making room in his schedule for budding potential. It'll just make it all the more satisfying when he inevitably defeats his latest opponent.

Edward rolls his eyes in distaste at the subject. Was this some sort of riddle? Hardly. Just a waste of his precious time, as would any animal be in his care. "None of them? I've got a thousand things to do that are better than walking some mongrel and picking up after it. Oh, it's cute for about five minutes but after that? The noise. The smell. The neediness. Ugh. There's barely enough time to dedicate to self care left alone looking after something that really shouldn't be my responsibility." Still, he ponders. He had briefly entertained the thought of keeping dogs just so they carry around lasers but the idea was quickly put out of mind when he imagined the stupid beasts, in their drooling excitement to see him, shot deadly beams at him instead. Cats? Hard no. They were thankfully more independent but their penchant for knocking things off shelves would be a nightmare in his workspaces. Besides, he still hadn't forgiven Catwoman and her bat boyfriend for interfering in his business a while back. "Anyway, I have more than enough fun creating fun little challenges for your everyday breed of moron roaming around out there on the streets. It's like watching giant two-legged hamsters stupidly trying to find their way out of the simplest traps as they squeal to be let out. That's quite enough entertainment for me without wasting days, weeks, months, years of my life caring for some braindead beast."

Just what he needed, a bat breathing down his neck! Edward can't help but scowl as he slowly pulls himself back up onto his feet as so not to make the vigilante standing in the shadows too jumpy, pausing just long enough to brush dirt and debris from his iconic green suit after the narrow escape he'd just had. "If by old tricks you mean narrowly avoiding getting run over by that madman Bullock right after getting away from... I don't know who exactly, but I can tell you they had it out for me then yes, otherwise whatever is wrong, I can assure you I've had absolutely nothing to do with it. My night's been chaotic enough without you gunning for me as well, Detective." Perhaps he's breathing a little too hard for Batman to take him at his word and to be fair, Edward supposed he might be looking a tad guilty right now - but could anyone blame him after what he'd been through? He wasn't exactly athletically gifted either, currently nursing a stitch in his side after saving his skin from multiple attempts on it. "You know, you really could have been helpful five minutes ago instead of now." He can't help but sourly mutter as he pulls himself together. Dignity at all times, Edward!

Edward glances up from the wires he's tinkering with when he hears somebody barge into the room, teeth gritted with annoyance at the unwelcome intrusion. The look on his face is quick to diminish somewhat when he sees it's not one of his henchmen but Harley Quinn, then he's up on his feet, irritation and curiosity intermingled with mild concern as to why she could be visiting at this hour. "Why Harley, what a pleasant surprise you've drop by although I really do wish it were under better circumstances. You see, I'm right in the middle of some precise rewiring and... are you feeling okay? You don't seem quite like... yourself." He pauses briefly, lowering his goggles to get a better look at her. Harley was rather free-spirited and tended to do as she pleased, but coming to Edward Nigma, well. That was a mystery in itself. @ciphergrcve

So random question. As someone who plays an evil aligned dc character. Are there any particular characters, evil or good aligned, that you wished you saw more or at all in the dc rp community?

Hi there, anon! Thanks for sending such a cool ask! I'm... actually, this question is something I need to think about because honestly, I'm down for seeing more muses (good and evil) in general, the more the merrier??? If I have to be more precise about answers, I'd probably like to see some more obscure or overlooked characters that aren't played as often? Female muses in particular, like where are the Batwomens? The Roxy Rockets? The Phantasms?? They are probably out there and I'm just stupid or not looking hard enough but all in all, I think people should write the muses that calls out to them the most. Won't stop me from hoping for more controversial characters though, like Professor Pyg!
