vegas id give you the sloppiest head ever if you wrote scissoring w shoko 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
★ : rubbing pretty clits w shoko.
cw. fem! reader, wlw, scissoring, praise, spanks, nıpple play, overstim, petnames, mdni.
shoko who can’t help but giggle, watching with doe brown irises as your hips stutter every few seconds. you were simply no match for her pace. with your slick cunt repeatedly grinding back against hers, you were already this close to losing it. to making yet another mess. she’s lied flat on her back, one hand gripped against the left side of your waist before humming, tilting her head in faux coy. “cupcake, c’mon, thought you said you knew what you were doing, hm?”
as your mouth hangs open—you lock your legs securely against hers, trying to scissor her properly. the heat of skin clashing against each other makes a school of butterflies flutter inside of your tummy. “m tryin’ shoko,” you pant, watching as she trails a hand down your ass, a thumb brushing up against it’s shape as if it was carved into a heart. “fuck, feels so good, ‘sho.”
“try harder, honey,” she huffs, almost about to break out a sweat herself. long brunette locks tangle around her finger as she keeps a keen eye on you the entire time. puffy cunt hoods glissade against each other back and forth and oh, the stimulation. with the mixture of her growing heat, you felt hot. shoko’s angle of her thigh legs wrap around yours and you felt everything. “pick up the pace, uh huh—good . . girl,” and a sharp gasp wrenches out of her throat once you start to accelerate. “thaaat’s it, fuck me, pretty girl.”
both scorching hot bodies continue to move in rhythmic sync. she lets off a sweet moan, feeling the convulsing thumps of your clit pulse against hers and it feels almost too good.
her breath hitches as she snakes a hand toward your breasts that bounce right in front of her face. “come closer, cupcake. don’t be shy,” and her words were a bit low—she lets off a tiny hiccup as her eyes roamed at your perfect jittery body. with each lengthy second that passed, she was getting more and more drunk from your sweet cunt. as you lean closer, pawing your right hand into the mushy skin of her right leg, she grabs ahold of one of your tits, latching her plump glossed lips against the tender nipple. “mhm.”
you moan out a singular hiss, bouncing against her body as she lies right underneath you—
skewing the bulb of your cunt straight against her drooling opening. with the merciless speed of your hips, she could barely keep your sweetened neglected mounds in her mouth. although, she left a pretty trail of her sheeny saliva onto each of your tits. she sucks against them both, briefly closing her eyes shut as you’re merrily rutting into her sloppy core salaciously.
“shokooo,” you drag out her words in a candied slur of both twin syllables.
the slow yet deadly grind of your hips had her head spinning. not just hers but yours too.
clammy hands of hers make their way back toward your unsteady hips, yanking them closer to her sweltering, sticky heat before she spanks your ass.
with that single spank . . one turns into two, then three, then four.
shoko’s obsessed with your ass, never failing to leave it a few concise stings near the very plush parts of your flesh. “f— fuck,” she stammers, a shake in her voice due to your insane rhythm. she felt it too, with both sloppy mounds bumping against each other, the incoming pleasure was almost inevitable to feel. she pried one of your legs open just a bit farther apart, strumming her slender fingers against your pulsating cunt to play against your throbbing slit. “mhm, twitching so good for me, huh. you gonna make a mess already? barely been a few minutes, cupcake.”
your throat was parched with dryness — with the bed underneath you and shoko wailing out in weak creaks, you moan. as your head tosses itself back in rapture, your trembling thighs briefly shifts to acclimatize against her wide open angle.
“gonna cum, shoko,” you warn, feeling the furrow of your eyebrow pull both arched brows together. for just a second, you take a second to suck in a nice amount of balmy air.
everything around you felt so warm, including the welcoming cunt of your girlfriend who’s just humidly sultry with tepid heat.
effortlessly, it sticks against your own core, creating a lewd concoction of damp juices, forming into a little soaked cobweb. there’s an entering ring that goes through your ears and hers. it’s never ending screech makes your back arch at the moment of your climax and she slumps back against the mattress. her skin’s met with the velvety silk sheets. as her body directly underneath you moves back in drowse, her lowly hooded eyes meet yours again once you prepare to speak out a whimper. “can i cum, shoko? pretty please?”
“with those manners, you can do anything you want to me, cupcake,” she hoarsely whispers, pulling you close to her face.
inches away, you close the remaining distance to drag her into a needy, wet kiss.
both bodies remain to rut back ‘n forth, limbs all tangled and intertwined in pure bliss.
she tasted so sweet. her syrupy gloss ghosts against your tastebuds and you moan right into her mouth. shoko was handsy, wasting no time to feel all over the curvature of your presentable physique. starting at your ass — then back toward your hips and the rest of your body. she even leans in, lolling her tongue out to lick a long stripe down the valley of your chest.
“mhm,” you whimper, sappy soddened juices squelching against each other. as you both eventually succumb to your orgasmic peak, in each mouth, you both moan in pretty flawless unison.
your hips come to an abrupt slow but you’re still jerking against her, swerving in swift addictive arcs as she feebly wrapping her arms around your waist. the rickety of the bed continues to sob out creaks from the double amounts of weight. “baby,” she croaks out lowly, strings of fluids departing with each inch that you move your cunt away from hers.
exhausted, you slump forward into her chest and you feel a rumble of her shoulders. “ah, worn out already? i guess we can take a break,” she whispers, feeling your body still shiver within her hold. her touch was always gentle—she loved how you’d always lean into it, lean into her. with a sheepish smile curling against her slight crooked lips, she makes you sit up. you unlock your weak legs against hers before lying on top of her, droopy eyes meeting her lust filled gaze. she gives your forehead a single kiss before huffing. “you did so good, baby. always so good for me.”
“s- shoko,” you stutter out, her perfume making you throb. you were already starting to fantasize about the lewd feeling of her cunt rubbing off against yours in carnal harmony that was literally just seconds ago.
“shhh,” she shushes you, a thumb swiping its way over the part of your lips. body again body — it was warm, her sweat mixed with yours and you could feel yourself aching for more. already, you missed the way she felt bumping against your sensitive pussy. it made your head spin, your nerves were still in overdrive before she makes you lie on her chest. “let’s rest, okay,” and her slight raspy voice made you let off a soft content sigh. she strokes your back, hearing your breathing slow a bit before she coos against the shell of your ear. “when you’re well energized again, i’ll start a nice bath for us both,” and she gives the crown of your forehead one more kiss.
“my sweet girl.”

POV: You and Matt have been friends since kindergarten and now you've been dating for a while. The main thing you noticed, is that how he behaves when you and him are in bed. Matt appears to be shy and innocent most of the time, but this changes drastically when you and him are between four walls.
For instance, at this moment you find yourself on top of him, bouncing on his member, with your hands cuffed behind your back and a bandage over your eyes, while Matt was laying there watching you struggle, with a big fucking smile on his lips.
"Tired already baby?" He asks, clearly mocking you.
"I expected more from you sweetheart.." You feel his strong and firm hands on your hips/ass, grabbing your and guiding you to go up and down faster.
"Keep going..." He moaned now letting you go and do all the work by yourself, not caring if your legs hurt or if you were on your limit.
y'aaalllll who wrote thaaat?? 🙀🤭

lots of stuff sucks atm, and I am trying to make christmas nicer for myself, so have this unashamedly self-indulgent, happy, joyful snippet. And feel free to send asks if you want. I’ll try to write some more prompt fills over the next few days as well.
_____
"Who was your first kiss?" Charles leaned back with a vixen-like smile, stirring his cocktail with a languid motion, "Come on, you can tell us now. We already know all your other secrets."
Lando felt his cheeks grow hot. "No, it's too embarrassing!" It really wasn't that bad if he was quite honest, but he just liked to put on a show for the attention.
"Aww come on, Lando!" Max's cheeks had a healthy flush, but his was caused by having half a gin and tonic. Lando giggled and hid his face in his hands until Max touched his arm with a laugh.
"What if we go first?" he suggested, and that did in fact pique Lando's attention.
"...maybe."
Charles huffed out an easy laugh. "You go first, Max."
„You already know who it was,“ Max said, giving Charles a grin. Charles narrowed his eyes at him. „Not me!“ he huffed, feigning offense.
„No, not you,“ Max agreed, „Although we can pretend it was you.“
„Who was it, then?“ Lando asked, curiously wiggling in his seat.
„Martin, my friend,“ Max said, „My neighbor from when my parents still lived together.“ Max paused dramatically, then added, „In middle school.“
It wasn’t even that funny, but they just burst out laughing anyway. „That does NOT count!“ Lando exclaimed, „You were literally a baby.“
Max was laughing into his cocktail, cheeks even more rosy than before now. Charles clicked his tongue. „Took you long enough after that to figure out you’re not as straight as your Dad wanted you to be.“
Max snorted, „Yeah, took me exactly until you had your hands on my tits for the first time.“ Charles gave him a smirk and reach out to cup Max’s chest, balancing his glass with the other hand, then leaned over to kiss him. Lando watched the wet, messy slide of their tongues against each other for a moment, before giving a needy little whine- no chance they were allowed to forget about him now.
Charles pulled back, but not without giving a sultry purr by Max’s ear. „Mine was Pierre,“ he announced, crossing his legs and hooking one of his ankle around Lando’s pulling him closer somehow.
„That’s so boring!“ Lando complained, followed by a little „Hey!“ when Charles used that same ankle to kick him lightly.
„It’s not boring, it’s romantic!“ Max objected.
„It wasn’t that romantic,“ Charles inclined his head, „We were like… thirteen maybe, and wanted to know what kissing felt like. So I kissed him, and then ran away.“
Lando and Max both aww’ed; the idea of Charles being so shy was almost absurd now.
„I can say he’s gotten a lot better at it since,“ Charles smirked, taking a sip of his cocktail.
„I sure hope so,“ Max snorted.
„Your turn now, Lando.“ Charles turned his gaze on Lando, eyes raking over his face.
Lando sighed dramatically, crossing his arms for show. „It’s boring.“
„The more you try not to say it, the more curious he will poke you for it,“ Max said, nodding towards Charles who sat there, watching Lando with an impish grin.
Lando chewed on his bottom lip for a second. „…it was a guy from school I liked. He was like… the hottest guy in school, and everyone liked him, and I guess he was kind of into me… he asked me if he could be my boyfriend, and we kissed under the bleachers.“
Charles groaned. „Your life is literally a teen movie.“
Lando let out a dismissive noise. „I realized really quickly that I didn’t like him enough for kissing, so I broke up with him I guess. He texted me for three months after, and even wrote me love letters, put them into my locker an’ all.“ He clicked his tongue dismissively. „Pretty annoying.“
Max and Charles exchanged an incredulous glance. „Our hot little girlie next door heartbreaker,“ Charles commented, leaning back on the sofa.
„I don’t think it was thaaat bad,“ Lando objected, making a face, which prompted Max and Charles to exchange another Look.
„Not much has changed since then,“ Max said with an idle laugh.

Fic Stats Game
thanks to @fortune-maiden for the tag! I'm chronically "oh no, people are perceiving me" but this should be interesting!
rules: give us the links to your fic with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the fewest words.
My hunch is that most of these will be Naruto fics because I have uhhh probably over 60 Naruto fics by now and that remains the fandom I'm most popular in by a long shot, so! We'll see what this turns up!
Most Hits: A Bolt of Silk: my beloved Uchiha Izuna/Original Female Character set in cdrama pastiche fic....I never knew why you became so popular or how you stayed that way, since I thought that like, maybe five people at best would read it, but I'm very fond of it as a fic! Probably my most perceived fic on AO3 to be honest.
Second Most Kudos: Prophet: this is a Naruto fandom style self insert reincarnation fic that looks at Self Inserts as an extended metaphor for immigration and what we leave behind when we do. The OFC is Hatake Sakumo's younger sister.
Third Most Comments: Three Lives, Three Worlds: Rebirth of the Spring: This is a surprise! But also RotS is a continuation fic of the small cdrama fandom of my heart (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) and it's always been (to my heart anyway) surprisingly popular.
Fourth Most Bookmarks: My Teeth in Your Heart: Oh! this one is also pretty fun! This is my Nedsei canon divergence arranged marriage fic for A Song of Ice and Fire that I wrote for AU Ex way back in 2021. I'm very fond of it!
Fifth Most Words: all this scarcity promotes: I subtracted Bloodless from this word count thing because technically Bloodless is like, 300k+ I just haven't finished editing and reposting it yet, so the actual fifth most words is scarcity clocking in at just over 60k. This is another Naruto fic, set this time in a Chinese Republican Era/20th century China mashed up with Naruto WCE setting, wherein again I go for characters nobody's heard of and nobody likes and give the mike to Senju Butsuma.
Fewest Words: Subtracting the things that aren't uh. well. fics. (I at one point made 21 word clouds and posted some podfic and art over the course of my AO3 stay) I have this drabble: Autumn's Girl which is about Cho Chang from Harry Potter.
These were not all Naruto fics which is a bit surprising but I feel like a significant enough portion of them are Naruto fics so as to not be thaaat surprising. What can I say lol, this has often been a Naruto fanblog on main in the past.
tagging: @saiditallbefore, @woobifiedvillain, @xslytherclawx-writes, @im-sublimey, @quill-q, @lazuliquetzal, @julyflamewrites, @cerusee, and anyone else who sees this who wants to play!

Thaaat was so sad. Can't wait for them to be happy again. Broken people sometimes make stupid things to cope up with, but that doesn't make them any less of a person. But I'm crying rivers rn though, you wrote it so well.
Ella, is the next chapter gonna be a major bawling session again or are we going to see some light for the two?
Alsoooo, those people who make stupid or rude comments in the asks should chill or tone down the emotional outbursts, and don't come after Ella, like come on, it's her story and she has every right to do what she wants with it.
It was definitely a very sad chapter😭 and I don’t think the next chapter is as much of a crying fest but it definitely is still angsty😔

Hi Julian,
I read your recent post about developing a sense of self and the part you wrote about not lying to yourself about being pretty made me think of something.
I notice quite a few people online claiming they have pretty privilege when they're just at most average looking and aren't someone most people would find attractive eg. They do not have any desirable facial features or even have features that aren't the most attractive etc. and they're definitely someone you would not notice at all while on the street. I don't think its just my personal opinion either since it's so obvious and i did see a few other people in their comments mention this. They either don't respond to these comments or mention its because of how other people treat them in comparison to others when those reasons might not be because of their 'prettiness'. It does make me wonder why they think the way they do because in your post you did mention how it's difficult to think something when the world reminds you you're not something.
I don't say anything to these people though because I don't want to hurt their feelings or come off as a hater because even if they're not conventionally attractive they do deserve to be confident in themselves and their appearance... and even if they're not pretty by societal standards, prettiness is also subjective and they have a right to feel pretty with the appearance they have. It just irks me a bit how they claim to have a privilege they don't because they aren't being honest with themselves or don't have an accurate opinion on how they are percieved. Anyone can feel pretty and they'd have the right to because everyone finds different things attractive, but claiming you have pretty privilege does imply you're someone society/most people would find notably attractive, enough to give you an upper hand compared to others.
I don't want to be someone mean or negative and bring people down so I just keep this thought to myself but I guess I am curious how they come to such a conclusion about themselves...
I understand your argument about how they could be mistaken, and about how the different treatment they received could be due to other factors instead of their looks. But there's no way we can prove or disprove their claim, because the claim depends on what is considered pretty and whether they fit it or not, and the only 'supporting evidence' for the arguments here is their experience VS other people's experiences, which are subjective as you mentioned here.
While we do have a general rule of what is commonly considered pretty globally, like, for women; fair skin, not hairy, and so on; beauty standard changes slightly depending on the country/ethnic as well. Who knows, maybe there are other people who are uglier than them wherever they are, which could make them stand out and look prettier, which means they might not be entirely wrong when they claim they get treated differently. Or there could be other psychological reasons why they make that conclusion about themselves.
The biggest question here is why does the possibility that people are not being honest with themselves or the possibility that they don't have an accurate opinion on how they are perceived annoy you? Like, don't get me wrong I'm not being mean here, but genuinely asking, how does it disturb your life? Why are you having this reaction to that behaviour?
Do you feel like you are not pretty so it makes it annoying when someone whom you perceive as not being that pretty claims that they have pretty privilege? Does it feel like they don't deserve that place because you feel you don't deserve it, and they are the same as you so they shouldn't deserve it too? Does them seeing themselves as thaaaatt pretty makes you feel a certain way about your own looks? Do you want people to feel good about themselves but nope, not thaaat good? Do they dare to claim something about themselves that you don't dare about yourself, and their behaviour just highlights your inability to do that?
Or do you think you have pretty privilege and that they don't deserve to claim they are in the same group as you when they aren't that pretty? Or is it because you don't like your pretty privilege, so it annoys you when you see someone who doesn't experience it claims that they do, like they enjoy and are proud of it, when you don't?
And so on.
Like, what's the backstory here? I find your reaction more interesting than why they do what they do. That's what you might want to figure out. Because that's what is bothering you, that's what has influence on your life.
#asks#other topics#i do encourage people to be honest with themselves#but i generally don't care when they don't#as long as they don't actively prevent me from doing anything in my life#it's not my loss if they are indeed lying to themselves#so my genuine question is why do you care? what's the reason?

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?
20. When did you first join Tumblr? How long was it between that and finding [KHR fandom]?
24. What's your favourite thing about [your fave character]?
Hiii Ein!!!
Thanks for the ask!
12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?
Limited to KHR? I think the Guide would win that prize since it's cracky as hell and I haven't written really written thaaat much in KHR, writing for this fandom is a pretty new developement.
If we include original fiction in the mix ... I still think the Guide is up there but I've had some crazy ideas over the years. Like I wrote this snippet about a TV sales lady that promotes household items for murdering abusive spouses (was inspired by my late grandpa buying me a knife set over telemarketing). Another story is about a girl who's been appointed to be Death's apprentice after she croaked. Unfortunately one of her first souls she was supposed to collect was the soul of a Chosen Hero who got resurrected before she could lead him to the afterlife. Because of some obscure universal law she can't actually collect the other souls on her list before she gets the Chosen One's soul, so now she's just following this doofus around on his journey to defeat the Great Evil. Funnily enough during the journey the Hero keeps dying because he's an idiot but Fate keeps reviving him because he hasn't finished his job yet. It leads to much frustration and funny moments.
When did you first join Tumblr? How long was it between that and finding [KHR fandom]?
Joined tumblr? Ummmm I don't really remember it's been a few years, it might have been 2018? But again not sure because goldfishbrain.
And I've been in the KHR before I joined tumblr. Katekyo Hitman Reborn was one of the first anime's I watched (it might have been on youtube even but not sure). It's also one of the first fandoms I read fanfic for so you can imagine it's very dear to my heart and I treasure it greatly.
24. What's your favourite thing about [your fave character]?
*totally bluescreens* Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Favourite character huh... Thinking about it the first that came to mind was Kyoya so I guess he's it (among others I don't really have a hard favourite).
And my favourite thing about him: I guess his freedom. Kyoya does whatever the hell he wants and gives zero fucks about what other people think about him, it's a very appealing treat for me since I'm an anxious mess that tends to overthink. Also he's really pretty when he kicks ass so there's that... (don't judge me I'm weak for beautiful, strong people okay!!)

sorry if this is random but I was just so flabbergasted so I had to share haha
so this was so weird but a few weeks ago I suddenly started getting followers from a bunch of people (like accounts that looked like stalker accounts, teenage girls who seemed to be from the us which is weird because I'm from Denmark and I had no idea who any of them were) and a bunch of random people were viewing my stories all the time (again, weird because i have less than 150 followers) but I didn't think thaaat much of it until a few people started to dm me and write stuff like "you're not that pretty" and "I don't understand how he likes you" which confused me so bad (and to be honest the first one hurt a lil) and then a few days ago a girl dm'ed me and was like "do you know luke hughes?" which, no, but I wish hahah so I wrote back and were like no what do you mean and she then sent me a link to a hockey gossip page, where someone had written that I was apparently a family friend of the hughes and luke had a crush on me and a bunch of people were verifying this info which, again, weird because I'm literally just a fan of them, and giving all these "hints" out about how to find my insta and such so apparently someone decided that luke hughes has a massive crush on me so if someone could tell him that it would be great AHAH
omg i literally remember getting an ask about this topic.
someone had sent me an ask saying luke had a crush on a family friend from denmark— why tf did someone randomly choose you to make rumors about wtf omg
i’m so sorry that happened to you! you didn’t deserve those messages at all!

ashdkfk so true!!!! You are absolutely right on everything!! Boy it is SO refreshing to read opinions like yours because I feel like many people love to bring the same thing about "but Jin created a war--" WELL. Actually! that wasn't Jin. idc what Harada says, but at least he saw the huge mistake he made and is now kinda fixing it on T8. I really like DJ but.. he's *not* Jin. But yeah, I'm not surprised someone said that about Josie :/ ... I've read other things re the female characters, especially about Xiaoyu and Asuka. Whenever someone says they're generic or smth I go "Can't read suddenly idk". As you said Tek has lots of unserious stuff. And it was one of the things that bothered me on 7 bc the Mishimas had their serious storyline while the rest were like,, for the lulz.. I don't think they even bothered to do more than that.
Also the thing you said about Heihachi took me out lmao. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring him back, SOMEHOW. But thank you! Tbh I get hyped whenever I see your posts getting hyped over T8 (if that makes sense?? my English sucks) love how you write Jin! I can’t wait for the game. Hopefully, it will be as great as it looks. I need it like yesterday lol. Btw, I'm starting to think I should go by "hype anon" or something(??)' (I'm going to stop talking now this is way too long I'm sorry! :| )
Thank you!! And YEAH - it's easy to look at a character, and poor writing, and see that it's something the character wouldn't do, and say "this isn't the character lol." But the Tek fandom just CAN'T seem to wrap that around their head!
I like DJ a lot, too! But totes, he's not Jin!
Now it seems like we now have 'em both referring to each other as different people! And well, I guess ppl forgot this - but even in TK2, we saw Kaz fighting against Devil Kaz. Which may just be seen as symbolism - but in TK4, Devil Kaz even refers to Kaz by name, asking what he's doing. (And plus Heihachi didn't recognize Devil Kaz as Kaz.) So because of this, I always saw DJ and Jin as different people - just habiting the same body. I also find this concept to be much more interesting than trying to claim DJ is just "Jin but evil!11!!1 his dark desires!!1!!!" Just because that concept if sooo generic and overused for fighting games. Mortal Kombat has their revenants which is just that, and Street Fighter as Ryu and Evil Ryu. And since I wrote in the MK fandom once - I already wrote that concept and I'm bored with it. Jin and DJ being enemies who are forced to share a body is very fascinating to me.
So, that's also why I roll my eyes when I see ppl say that TK6's writing is "justified" because DJ represents what Jin really wants. (Fuck off with thaaat.) And even if somehow, someway, Jin did go "dark." I don't see him behaving like DJ. I see Jin behaving more angrier and aggressive - but not sadistic and maniacally laughing and stuff.
Funny thing is - I actually wasn't too happy with Xiao's depiction in the Bloodline anime because I felt they made her more generic than she is in the games. XD Imo, not many of the Tek characters are "generic." Yes, they all have tropes. (Xiao's the bubbly schoolgirl, Jin's the stoic main character.) But like, many characters are built upon established tropes. It's how they're written and how they actually act with those tropes that make them unique. I really don't see how Asuka's generic. Even if she can be a bit pointless to her family's story, she can be entertaining as a character personality wise imo.
AND YEAHHH - I may also be in the minority who didn't completely hate the TK7 story like many people do. But I def agree they fucked the other characters up completely. Like yeah, I still have gripes about the TK7 story - but at least it was taken seriously. And Heihachi did stuff and was taken seriously again. (Unlike you know, in TK5 and TK6 where he has endings of him sending his family to... Space to kill them.) But my God, I finally got around to unlocking all the character endings a few months ago and TK7 probably has the worst character endings - maybe even worse than TK6 (if not just as bad. As TK6 wasn't all juvenile humor, but a lot of them was just short 30 seconds of Nothing Happening) I'd say Miguel probably had the best ending - if it didn't remind of TK6 and made me angry because of that.
I feel like they will bring back Heihachi - even just to be in the roster, and not alive. Just because even if the character is dead - players still liked his style, and therefore, enjoyed playing as him. I feel like they could pull a Kazumi, and have Heihachi in a flashback, and thus he can be in the roster because of that. Lots of people are saying "they could make clone or robo Heihachi - or even a new apprentice!" But really, I think Flashback Heihachi is most likely. Honestly, I wouldn't really mind if TK8 brought in a lot of "dead" characters as DLC. Like they're just DLC, and most Tek characters have no impact on the story anyway (LOL) So... what would be the big deal? It'd be nice to see Jinpachi or Ogre again.
Don't worry about your English! You haven't said anything that was unclear to me yet, so it's been all good! And thank you soooo very much about that!!! I love writing this character, and I love my concepts - so it's always joyful to know others do, too. <3 And I really like talking to you about the games! As said, it gives me an excuse as well to ramble all my ideas! Which is funny bc you were worried about going on to long, but now I'm going on way too long. xD

May Reading Wrap-Up: 8 SFF Books :)
Hey guys! Happy Pride Month! I have my reading month to share with you all - it's the first month of summer and so things are picking up here on the reading end. And honestly, I couldn't be more excited and happy to be reading :) Let's see what I read!
Lagoon, by Nnedi Okorafor
no rating | 306 pages | queer main characters!
This was the last book I finished before leaving school and coming home! I took a super cool sci-fi class last semester and read all sorts of books from all over the world - this was my professor's pick for Nigeria! I haven't rated it since I read under circumstances that bias me towards rating it lower than I should - aka class.
Regardless, I'll tell you my thoughts: this book tells the stories of a series of interconnected people living in Lagos, and how their lives are affected by the arrival of aliens. I love a good first contact story, so I was excited! But unfortuantely I didn't find myself liking this book too much.
The problem I have with Ms. Okorafur's writing is her pacing. I find things move too quickly to my liking, and too much attention is spared for the things I am not concerned about, while major events feel glossed-over. I had much the same feelings as I had with her Binti trilogy: I think the plot is fun, and I'm intrigued, but the writing turns me off completely. This time, I was even more into it, as Ms. Okorafur was focused on the arrival of aliens in the third world, and that was a lot more realistic, fun and unique than our typical narratives of first-contact-in-the-US - especially for a fellow third world-er.
Overall, I don't not recommend it. Give it a try! But if Binti felt rushed for you, I don't think this one will be your cup of tea, either.
The Dallergut Dream Department Store, by Lee Mi-Ye
2.5 stars | 306 pages | no queer rep :(
Oh, The Dallergut Dream Department Store... I wrote a full review on this one, so I won't dally too much, but suffice it to say it wasn't that enjoyable of an experience! The story follows Penny as she begins to work at a Dream Store people visit while they sleep.
Although definitely cozy, I thought the story really lacked direction. There's no over-arching plot, and everything feels like a sequence of short stories. At the end, the author seems to realize her mistake and attempt to insert some semblance of a plot, but it falls completely through given that it's so close to the finish line. The main character is also dreadful, with no personality, no agency, and basically no point to existing besides asking the right questions at the right times. Other characters were plenty more enjoyable and could've been amazing main characters.
Some of the vignettes were fun, but it just made me wish more and more that an editor had looked at this one more time. It has potential, but it feels like a rough draft. After a semester spent workshopping scripts, I couldn't help feeling like this was one of fellow classmates' drafts, and that I needed to help them improve. Overall, I wouldn't recommend!
A Taste of Gold and Iron, by Alexandra Rowland
4 stars | 512 pages | MLM main couple
Okay, so. I don't usually read speculative romance, and I guess I should make it clear, as it means I'm not thaaat good of a judge on the genre. But I wanted something that would make me gush, and didn't have the brain power for anything like the more complicated political fantasies I'm usually into. So was born my era of queer romantasy, which is already continuing into June.
Help. I've become quite addicted.
A Taste of Gold and Iron is, as far as I'm concerned, a delightful example of the genre. It follows a shy, anxious prince and his new bodyguard (who might resent him just the tinniest bit). They are thrust into a mystery they must unravel, as well as deal with their own personal afflictions, and - of course - navigate their feelings towards each other.
I thought the two main characters, particularly Kadou, the prince, were very well constructed. Their dynamic - "sworn to protect the prince" and "the prince" - is also treated very well throughout the book, as both of them address the implications of this particular relationship. And their relationship is so good, that it had an - uncharacteristic, let me add - effect on me: I sat up on my bed and squealed.
So, yeah! This is a good one! I will caution people who, like me, are coming from non-romance fantasy, that the main plotline outside of the relationship is very simple and silly at times. (It was comped with The Goblin Emperor, which is simply not true and a comparison I resent very much). I didn't mind it though, involved as I was with their love for each other! Highly recommend!
The Last Binding Trilogy [A Marvellous Light; A Restless Truth & A Power Unbound], by Freya Marske
3 stars (as a whole) | 400ish pages | MLM & WLW rep :)
This was my first endeavor into my search for queer Bridgerton, which has not yet proven a 100% successful, but will definitely have its own post!! Anyway, this a series set in magical Edwardian England, where a group of gays finds each other and get embroiled into a mysterious plot. Each book follows a different couple, which is a good gimmick, but there's also an over-arching plot, so you do need to read them in order.
I found myself having fun with the romances, but not impressed in the least by the plot. I found it dull, unoriginal and full of mustache-twirling villains - which is the worst offense, in my opinion. Nuance is mandatory in my favorite characters! I found the last book to be the worst offender, which is why I rated it the lowest.
I have a longer review in which I get into the nitty-gritty of this topic in particular, but also found it extremely disappointing that racism or the trans-atlantic slave trade's consequences in general were not explored at all in the books. This was worsened by the fact that other social prejudices are plenty explored - in fact, it's practically one by book: homophobia in the first, sexism in the second, and classism in the third. And although I have no expectations that all books explore all topics, given the importance and the relevance of this debate to the time period and the fact that other prejudices were unpacked, it definitely left a gapping hole.
A Natural History of Dragons, by Marie Brennan
4 stars | 334 pages | no queer rep!
In my desperate need for historical speculative fiction, as well as my attempts to read as many books as possible for my r/Fantasy Bingo card, I ended up with the Memoirs of Lady Trent series. It has long been in my TBR and so I was very excited!
It definitely fulfilled my expectations! The series chronicles the life of Isabella, or Lady Trent, a gentlewoman in "Victorian England" - it's not England and it's not Victorian, it's a made-up country, but let's leave it at that - who has an obsession with dragons (who exist, in this world!). Fighting against sexist prejudices, Isabella eventually becomes one of the major specialists in dragons of her time, and the series chronicles her various expeditions and experiences.
The novel is certainly slow, told in the more subdued voice that readers of Isabella's time period would find suitable. But this doesn't make it less exciting! I found myself particularly compelled by the exploration, however slight, of what it means to be a stranger in a place. To be visiting, and living in other peoples' houses, and exploring their culture and nature for science. Of the particular awkwardness that brings, but also of the joys, when a cross-cultural connection is made.
I'm excited to continue on with the series - I'm about halfway through book two and loving it just as much, so I expect it'll be a lot of fun for me :)
The Hatmakers, by Tamzin Merchant
4 stars | 368 pages | very minor queer side characters, but they do have a moment to shine and it's pretty cute!
Apart from historical fantasy, I also had a craving for middle grade! I loooove reading middle grade stories, and so hunted the internet for recommendations until I found this one! It's delightful: it tells the story of Cordelia, a girl whose family are magical hatmakers. One day, while out searching for ingredients to make even cooler hats, Cordelia's father is lost at sea, and Cordelia is the only one who believes he's still alive...
And imagine my delight when I found out this was set in the Regency period! It was a crazy coincidence, but it definitely helped my enjoyment. I thought the world building was nice, even if we didn't get too deep into it for this first book, and there's some politics here, too, which was fun!
My main complaints are that the book tied too many loose ends to make me compelled to read this as series. I'll definitely want to pick up book two, just 'cause, but I wonder if it wasn't best to have a bit more of a cliff-hanger with the plot points that are important in the second-half of the book. I also don't know if I agree with the way the book is approaching Cordelia's grief for her father, but I obviously haven't read the whole series, and so can't speak on the project as a whole.
Apart from this, I found the story charming, the characters delightful, and the magic system interesting, even if a little funky. I'm excited to read more in this world and from this author!
That's it for my month! I'd love to hear from you, so please let me know what you're reading, too, if you'd like, or disagree with me and we can discuss these books :)

Bad day cheering-up
skephalo; my favourite skeppy he/him, bbh he/him
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Skeppy was having a really bad day. He wasn't sure why. He just wasn't feeling it. He'd been sat in his room of him and Bad's mansion, waiting for Bad to come back from his Minecraft Manhunt practicing with Dream, George and Sapnap. He watched the console every now and then, waiting for the words "BadBoyHalo joined the game" to pop up.
He tapped his thigh with his finger, then exhaled slowly. He thought, what if Bad didn't come back? What if he forgot about him? What if- one day everyone he knows, loves, forgot about him? Tears pricked at his eyes at the thought, but he noticed it was kind of stupid. He stood up, grabbing a book and quill out of his inventory. He wrote in the book, signing it and setting it on the floor.
About an hour later, Bad logged onto the SMP after a long day of MCMH practicing with Dream, George and Sapnap. He spawned in him and Skeppy's mansion. He looked at the console, and saw that Skeppy messaged him coordinates to an area. He looked around, "sGeppy?" then he saw the book and quill on the ground. He walked over to it, picking it up and reading it. go to the coords i send u when u see this -skeppy ur best friend <3 <3 <3 <3
"...Okay." Bad blinked. He looked back at the console for the coordinates Skeppy sent him. He didn't know if he needed anything, but thought if Skeppy was bringing him somewhere that he would already have everything that they'd need. So, he just went to the coordinates.
Soon enough, Bad had arrived at the coordinates. And he was surprised. Skeppy was sat on a blanket on the ground. There were sandwiches, muffins, a cooler. Skeppy looked up at Bad, then smiled slightly. "Hey, Bad." - "Hi, sGeppy!! Did you do all of this for us?!" - "Yeah! I figured..." Skeppy trailed off, thinking of an excuse.
"Iiii figuureed.. that.. since you have been practicing for the Manhunt with the Dream Team all day, thaaat.. we coould hang out together! You're probably really exhausted and I thought, 'what's more relaxing than going on a picnic with my best friend?" Skeppy gave off a suspicious smile, which Bad slowly caught onto, but he went with it. "Thank you, sGeppy! I really appreciate it." Bad smiled.
He sat down, picking up a muffin and taking a big bite out of it. Of course he goes for the muffins first, Skeppy thinks to himself as he grins and rolls his eyes. Skeppy's hopes were high that this would make him feel better. After a few minutes, Skeppy took a soda out of the cooler and popped the tab, taking a sip.
The two of them finished the food that Skeppy had prepared, and Skeppy felt better. But he was still a bit sad. Bad looked at Skeppy, and he could tell that something was wrong. "Hey, sGeppy, do you want to.. go home?" Bad asked. "...Yeah, you know what? Let's go home." Skeppy smiled, and the two quickly packed up their stuff and headed back to the mansion.
When the two of them got back to the mansion, Skeppy went over and slumped on the couch, and Bad looked at his best friend. "sGeppy, are you.. okay?" Bad trailed over to Skeppy, frowning. "What. Are you talking about, Bad. I'm fineee." Skeppy looked away from Bad, tears pricking at his eyes. "I know you, sGeppy. You've that look on your face. You're not fine." Bad scooted closer to Skeppy, who was trying super hard not to make any eye contact with him.
Bad aggressively pulled Skeppy into a hug. Skeppy inhaled, and the tighter Bad hugged, the more tears began to slowly tiptoe down his cheeks. He leaned into his friend, and Bad slowly moved his hands to Skeppy's lower back as he planted a gentle kiss to his friends forehead. Skeppy exhaled, sniffling. The two sat quiet for a minute, til Bad had an idea spawn in his head.
Bad had pulled the two of them into a laying position on the couch before wrapped his arms around Skeppy's stomach. Skeppy flinched from the quick movement before speaking up after a few seconds. "Bh- Bad? What're.." Skeppy's hand shot to his mouth as a finger gently traced his bare side. When did Bad's hand get up his sweater? Skeppy twitched, gently kicking his legs as more fingers started tracing up and down his side.
"Geeeppy." Bad smiled. "Nhhope.." Skeppy fought a smile from appearing on his face as the tracing slowly turned into scratching. Then that scratching turned into scribbling, and suddenly moved to his stomach. "BaAd!" Bad giggled at Skeppy's reactions and his determination to not smile. "C'mooohn, Geppy. Let's see your smile, you muffinhead! Hahahahh!" Bad taunted, moving up the sleeve of Skeppy's hoodie to trace his arm. Skeppy finally broke at that.
"Bahahahad! Nohoho- nohoht thehEHERe!" Skeppy twisted and squirmed in his friend's bear hug. "There's that smile I love to see!" Bad exclaimed, and Skeppy's face flushed. "IhIHIHI- BaHAD!" Skeppy squealed as a raspberry was applied to his neck. "Tickle, tickle, sGeppy," Bad whispered into Skeppy's ear as he moved back to Skeppy's stomach and squeezed.
"BAHAHAD! StOHOhop! Pleheheheheeease! AAH!" Skeppy shrieked, bucking his hips which were now attacked by his demon friend with gentle, unbearable squeezes. "You're adorable, sGeppy." Bad commented, and Skeppy's face flushed some more as he continued to kick the air profusely. Bad found that Skeppy must've enjoyed compliments. They make him all flustered. He wanted to implement as many as he could.
Bad had squeezed Skeppy's stomach again and he squealed once more. Now tapping Skeppy's belly and occasionally dipping a finger into his bellybutton, Bad's hands went side to side over Skeppy's lower and upper stomach."BaHaHAHAad! Ihihi'm ohohokay nohow! PleHEHEAsEE!" Skeppy shrieked as Bad suddenly leaned down and planted a raspberry on Skeppy's stomach, where the demon had brought his hoodie up himself.
Bad shook his hair to add onto the electrifyingly ticklish feeling, and Skeppy was lost in a hysterical trance of laughter with his head thrown back. He felt safe. Happy, for the first time that day. He loved hanging out with Bad, even if they'd have their rough some-times. Skeppy loved whatever they'd do together. Trolling him, or just simply hanging out. It was Skeppy's favourite thing in the whole world, and he didn't know what he'd do or where he'd be without Bad.
Bad's heaven hell slowed to a stop, and soon enough Skeppy and the demon were two peas in a pod on the couch. Bad tightly wrapped his arm around Skeppy, and Skeppy sunk into Bad's chest. Bad sighed, then with a smile on his face said; "I love you, sGeppy." Skeppy giggled out an; "I love you too, Bad." Bad gently kissed Skeppy's hair, and the two slowly drifted off into a peaceful nap on the couch.

some thoughts on queerness in narrative (using cobra kai as a main point)
1. intro
It’s interesting getting to engage with pop culture right now versus even five years ago, where there was something kinda sordid and undercover about queer reads of text and even just talking about being into stuff very passionately while being queer in spaces that included creators was considered somehow icky (supernatural is always a good example, but definitely was just the most visible of these types of interactions between fans and cast/creators). Obviously that’s where a lot of modern definitions about queerbaiting and bury your gays comes from.
A lot of this kind of drama centred on queer ships rather than queer characters in their own right (dean/castiel, merlin/arthur, derek/styles and maaaan just a lot of white brunette/blond pairings, which is another post and I acknowledge that Lawrusso is also literally that... the irony)
But also this isn’t so much about “shipping.”
2.
There’s a danger of flattening out the ways in which we create a dialogue with text when it becomes just about whether or not our ships become canon (in general the way fandom discourse revolves around ships can be incredibly unhelpful for engaging critically with text) – for context I am queer and I’m queer through my transness and aromanticness and asexuality, and I also write a fair bit of shippy fanfiction and analysis, but personally am not (always) thaaat bothered about how the connections with queer-coded people are realised in text, as long as those connections are acknowledged in a queer way. How that works varies from text to text. There is no one-size fits all proper queer representation.
An example: SE Hinton (because I just read The Outsiders/watched the movie) being really dismissive of people reading her characters as gay on twitter (why do we ever try to do this sort of deep textual analysis on twitter, why do creators – like Hinton – think that they ought to espouse opinions on twitter, why twitter folx?)
I wrote – kinda for the void, because I write a lot and I like posting some of that on tumblr, but I don’t expect people to engage necessarily – about how The Outsiders is absolutely a queer text, whether or not the creator intended for it to be. Long story short, queerness has been – and often still is – illegal and/or frowned upon in canon text, so a semiotics was created to make something queer if you knew how to read it. The fact that cis-straight creators play with and use those semiotics without knowing doesn’t negate the fact that that language is there and was deliberately created for that purpose.
That also doesn’t make it queerbaiting. Maybe cis-straight dumbassery, idk (wouldn’t be if you just went “huh, didn’t think about that, cool read”)
Intentionally playing with and acknowledging those semiotics also isn’t necessarily queerbaiting.
Definitely queercoding though.
3.
Anyway this is all a bit murky territory, so let’s talk about Cobra Kai, my current little obsession, and about Star Trek, my always-obsession. Time-was you could get sued for your Star Trek fanfiction. Nowadays that fanfiction can get turned into a for-fun zoom play and read out loud by the two actors who played the original characters (Alexander Siddig and Andy Robinson). This is very fun, new territory for a lot of us.
Meanwhile Hayden Schlossberg and the other writers of Cobra Kai are openly aware of the fact that lots of people read their lead characters – Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence - as probably bisexual (and probably as in love) and are on good terms with several active members of fandom and fic-writing. This is… so fucking fun. And it doesn’t have that weird overtone of shit like Teen Wolf (“We’re on a ship” winky-face, followed by that about heel-turn “just think it’s weird and strange” or however tf it was described later on - that shit: definitely queerbaiting).
In Star Trek there’s a slim-to-none chance that these characters will ever become canonically queer in the main text, but the acknowledgement and the light-hearted open engagement with it makes such a massive difference (not that Siddig and Robinson weren’t talking openly about it as far back as the 90s).
In Cobra Kai there is no obligation to make Johnny or Daniel canonically bi because there’s been no promise to do so – there is, in my opinion, an obligation to create a world in which queerness exists and not just on the sidelines. In the same way as there’s an obligation to generally create a world that accurately depicts what LA looks like in multiple other ways (cough, not mainly white, cough). If a part of that were through exploring how 80s era toxic heteronormative masculinity could throw people deep into the closet for most of their lives, hey, that’d be a neat storyline (such a neat fucking storyline), but it’s not the only way to do it.
While I do like canonically queer couples in stories, I also think it’d really limit what queerness can do for a text if that were the only way it was represented - sure I ship Lawrusso, but I find the above-mentioned analysis of toxic masculinity’s effects on the characters-as-queer-coded to go much deeper than whether or not they get together.
I also would love trans and/or other-gender characters - we all know Johnny needs his “gender-what?” ignorance challenged and the potential for characters like that to fit into a narrative around trauma, loneliness, and misfit-families is kinda perfect (and when I say characters, I mean that plural, we’re not a one-size fits all).
Lastly I think there is also an obligation to do exactly what the showrunners are doing - what didn’t happen with Hinton or SPN or Teen Wolf or Star Trek of yore or so much other popular fiction: say, oh yeah, that language is absolutely there, we recognise it, we can read it and it’s not weird or sordid or something to be judged. So that’s already a massive thumbs up/promising start.
4. some final thoughts:
Idk where all this’ll go. I’m still missing a lot of canonically queer representation - and when I say representation I mean more than just shoving in a queer character into a scene and not thinking about how that affects the world that’s been established. But I’m feeling a lot better about queerness and story than I used to.
I’m hoping that whatever comes moving forwards in culture in general it’ll have some thought put into it. I’m hoping that queerness and queer allegory and coding will be recognised more and more as important reads of text and will go into informing how something is made (Hannibal, Black Sails, Sense8, Pose). I’m just hoping this’ll mean some interesting, intelligent, wildly varied narratives.
Just very excited.
